Speaker 1 (00:19):
You're listening to the best experience with the best would
(00:41):
be a little more ready on the next one, just
a little bit of it. Oh, yes, we are on
and for those tuning in, this is the best experience.
And uh, actually this is a new format for what
we will be doing from this point on. Uh, you know,
with Nick and myself, we're actually starting a couple of
(01:02):
new things here. We're gonna be actually having a Patreon
for those who would like to join the Patreon. We're
gonna have a couple of different tiers, and with the
highest tier, you can actually be involved in in the
into the Patreon, so you can communicate to us. You
can talk to us, ask us questions, all that kind
of stuff during the episode. So that's gonna be exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Then what exactly, And then when we don't get to
while the Live life is going, will reply to the
answers as much as we can, which should be pretty much.
But offline that'll be kind of exactly. You'll be able
to get questions to us and stuff like that. So
(01:47):
it's it's gonna be neat. But we were supposed to
this at seven o'clock today, but one of us forgot
about another.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Podcast and some times that happens, and sometimes the first
one exactly, but this is the first one. So, like
I said, there's gonna be some bugs working out and
all that good stuff. But you know, for those who
want to support Nick and myself, you know what I'm saying,
for everything that we do, there's gonna be a lot
(02:16):
of exclusive offers. Uh, there's actually gonna be some stickers, shirts,
design stuff like that. We're getting all put together still,
you know what I'm saying. So, and it's one of
those things too, is like Nick, It's like sometimes you
can wait for the perfect moment, but sometimes you just
got to start and sometimes I's got to go exactly real,
you know.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
And we got a few things in there right now,
not a lot, but there's some stuff in there already.
If you're interested, you can go check it out. There
will be some training stuff in there. We'll have templates
and stuff like that for strong men and powerlating, and
then some general workouts. The strong end one is kind
of done, but it's not in there yet, so and
then the powerlating one will be done within the next week,
(02:54):
and then the regular workout will be in there the
week after that. Because we're doing things a little bit at.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
A time, Yes, a little bit at a time, so.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Both keep up with it more, probably me going slower
than Ben. Ben's much faster things that exactly.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Uh well, you know now that we got that out
the way, uh you know, we just were at the Denver,
Colorado this weekend, you know what I'm saying. So that
was Loveland. That's right, Loveland, Denver. We landed in Denver,
and man, the airport is so far away from everything.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well yeah, it's how they built that airport, but you
know that's what happens. Never mind, I'm not going to
get into there. So but like we we went from
there to Loveland, Colorado the for the Shot Classic and
the Strongest Men on Earth. It was great getting to
(03:51):
commentate you know, the Shot Classic, the open the lightweight
and heavyweight women and then the lightweight and heavyweight men
and really get to see them battle and go through
the events and stuff like that. Of course, the heavyweight
winner gets to be in the Strongest Man on Earth
next year, so that's gonna be pretty exciting as well.
(04:12):
It's it's really freaking cool to get to see these
guys just battle in it because even more than the pros.
They want it, you know, so the top ten know
it's there and they just lay it on the line.
They just lay it all out. There's nothing else there,
(04:32):
there's no holding back, there's no more tomorrow when they
get there. They just go out and do each event
with everything that they have and they leave it all
on the playing field. It's so much fun to watch
that and commentate through that.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
And it is an experience, you know, it's very very
you know the way the was it. The Blue Arena
is set up, it's a great arena. The seeds close,
even the VIP was close, you know what I'm saying,
So you get right on it. And there's no bad
seats in that place. Yeah, there's no bad seats, so
(05:08):
you know. And and even with it was the show
classic open the Strongest Man on Earth and we had
East versus West the Strongest arm on Earth arm wrestling. Oh,
that's it.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
It's kind of I really need to see Brian win that.
That was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Oh yeah, seeing Eddie win, you know what I'm saying.
And then uh, Martinez, I just didn't see that coming,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Yeah, I figured he'd do a little better. But I mean,
Loss has got a lot of experience arm wrestling, he
really does, and he takes it quite seriously. It's not
something he does every once in a while. He does
it quite a bit and he's gotten quite proficient and
very good at it.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
So yeah, the intensity had you could read it off
of him just from even where we were sitting.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, and speaking, have been having to go against that
intensity a few times in my career. Yeah, It's pretty
scary at times. So yeah, he did. I don't think
Martin's even got his arm going the other way no, sorry, contest,
and Martin's is freaky strong. But the experience in arm
(06:16):
wrestlings technique and technique and skill and just having the
right genetics for it as well, and that's it.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
And you know, the work it quite a while, and
you could tell because like I said, it was, it was.
It was a crazy show just all the way around,
especially right in the middle of doing everything that actually happened,
you know what I'm saying, Like, as this is all happening,
you know what I'm saying, there's a strong man happening.
And like I said, it was, even the expo was
(06:44):
something I just wasn't expecting either. Like I said, it
was a good amount of vendors U powerlifting and arm
wrestling tournaments during the shot Classics, So like there was
there was so much to do, and that what a
lot of people don't understand too, is the expo's freak.
You don't even so for those who just want to
experience the expo, all the had to do was just
show up there.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah, and all everybody has appearance times when you're there
as well. So I mean I was at the Undefined
Nutrition Booth, which is the Evolution booth as well, so
it's it's Brian's booth. So I was there. I mean
all of us were there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, No, there was a there was a heavy lineup.
Robert was there too, you know what I'm saying. He
had he was at his booth. Mitchell Hooper was there
at his booth, you know what I'm saying. So there
was a lot of opportunity for a lot of bands
to actually yeah, exactly, everyone was there to have an
opportunity to meet people, you know what I'm saying. So
that that's one of those experiences that you could take
away from because like even when we were at Strongest
(07:37):
Worlds strongest man. There was no real opportunity to meet
people unless they were walking around. You know what I'm saying, right,
you know?
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah, yeah, Well this you're get to get a chance
to meet people no matter what. You will meet the
athletes to a certain greed. And then there's also a
meet and greet you can get as well that you
can pay for and go to and see all sixteen
of the competitors so and asking questions and hang out
with him and get autographs, room and stuff like that,
(08:08):
which is well worth it. I mean, it is well
worth it. It's a pretty neat thing as well. So,
but to be honest, I was really excited for Robbie too.
It was great to see Robbie back competing, and Robbie's
going to have the future in our wrestling because Robbie
(08:29):
really knocked Eddie for a loop on the first couple
of rounds. Yeah yeah, And the thing that saved Eddie
is Eddie's got a lot more experienced. So Eddie figured
out where Robert wasn't strong at pretty quickly and then
dispatched it. But as Robert does this more and gets
(08:49):
more experience out of it, Robert is going to be
hell for these guys to deal with too. Between him
and Brian, it's going to be pretty interesting in the
next five six years on what goes on in arm
wrestling this year. I mean, but then you watch freaking
Devin in his mask and he's just like are you pulling?
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Are you going? Are you even ready?
Speaker 2 (09:14):
The whole time and the guy's pulling with everything, like everything,
and he's just like, yeah, okay, pulls his head, pulls
his shirt over his head, just you know, does this
thing where he's like, all we were his head and
he's like, you know, because there was no way the
guy was gonna No guy's gonna pin it none. And
(09:36):
then he just waits till he gets topped. He just
waits and then he's like okay and just flips the
switch and.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Then that's it and then.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Go ahead.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I was saying, like even talking about that, Bubba had
talked to Devin and just you know, over conversation was like,
you know, I'm a little interested in it, so that
he actually pulled him to the table, gave him a
couple of little tricks and tips, and you know, like
that in itself was like, you know, Bubba's on a
way too on his way for his career, but also too,
Oh my gosh, you know what I'm saying, he's looking
(10:05):
at two pro sports here. That'd be fucking insane.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah, I'll say that, that's for sure. And I mean
Bubba's the good thing is is he.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Has Jerry, Oh absolutely, and Jerry keeps.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Him grounded because i mean, hanging out with the kid
and going around talking to people in the audience, you
forget he's fourteen.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
He's fourteen. You forget he's fourteen. You're like hanging out
with him thinking he's like eighteen nineteen years old. No,
he's fourteen. So it's kind of like, oh, yeah, he
got He's got such an amazing and bright future ahead
of him. He really does. I mean, he can quite
possibly go down as the strongest human to ever exist
(10:53):
by the time he's all done, if he keeps going
at the pace that he's going on. I mean he's fourteen,
he's already deadlifted six on her. He's already pressing pretty
close to, if not over, a three hundred pounds log.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yeah, So if you don't follow that kid, go follow
Bubba Pritchett. Go follow him. He's man He's just unbelievable
and the drive comes from the inside of him. You know,
you can see Jerry having to like, really men.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Yep, you know, well Jerry said a few times, you know,
we starts acting up, he can't train, and then that
changes his attitude real quick, real quick.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
So and he's such a good kid, he really is.
He's not he's a good person. But you can tell
he's been raised in gym around a bunch of the
guys because that kid, that kid could dish it out.
He can talk some smack in such a straight It
was funny. He's like, what are your babysitting? And I'm like, Bubba, No,
(12:00):
I'm not bady sitting.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Bubba.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
He's like, yeah, my son over here. He's fourteen, this
and that, And Bubba's sitting there just chirping at me,
saying a bunch of stuff. And I go, oh, look,
we can get a playdate for you. He fell over loud.
It's like, yeah, Bubba, we got a playdate. But it's
it's absolutely amazing. I love that kid to death, I
really do. I just I cannot wait to see what
(12:25):
he does ten years from now. And the thing is is,
I think he's going to have the ability once he
gets there to stay there till he doesn't want to,
and then he had a choice. Yeah, when he decides
he doesn't want to do it anymore, he will stop.
And when he gets to the top, when he beats people,
(12:49):
there won't be anybody that's going to come up and
get him. So it's just going to be if he
stays injury free. I mean, if he's not in you're
nobody's gonna beat him when he gets.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Older exactly, you know, and he's got literally one of
the one of the best over behind his back supporting him,
training him, and also too, you know, helping him actually
learn strategy. You know what I'm saying, because that's one
of those things. You know what I'm saying, it's a
strong man is not just brain. It's just not bron
it's also brains. You know what I'm saying. You've got
(13:22):
to know how to points work, You got to know
what you work best at, and you got to know
how to maneuver in these in these events, you know
which during the Strongest Man on Earth, we had a
serious breakdown of what was happening there because it was
so up and down and left and right.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Oh yeah, And it's interesting because he'll see the mistakes
made by others, yep, and then he'll learn from that.
And like, there were some guys that were having trouble
cleaning the log and you go back and you're like, hey, dude,
chock your belly. Then puts your shirt on and then
chalk your shirt. Log's going to stick there and then
(13:59):
it's and the guy cleans a lot right up, and
you're just like see, and so he's seeing that stuff.
He's seeing like some of the older guys come in
and go, hey, try this real fast. It's going to
help you lift it, and then it works, and he's
just like okay, so's he's learning.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
He's gonna be that's it.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Not only is he going to be super strong, he's
gonna be super smart. He would he will no tricks
far beyond his years exactly. He'll definitely be able to
set himself up extremely well. Yeah, but I want to
talk about Evan.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yes, let's talk about that.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I'm so proud of Evan Singleton for winning the Strongest
Man on Earth. He is now the strongest man on
Earth twenty twenty five, and no one will ever ever
be able to take that from him, and congratulations he
earned it. He truly did. He's been working his tailoff
for a very long time. And Lucas hadn't got second
last year and got second again this year. So Lucas,
(14:59):
Lucas is right there, went in the whole thing. I mean,
Lucas wasn't a mile of points behind him.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
He was yet right on his tail. And Lucas was
on fire because man, he had some great events.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Oh and the bench press one you were just like
the dens pressed yea. And the deadlift just yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Just all over everything is that, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
But at the end of the day, evn't had a
better day yep, and a better two days. And now
Evan's this returning champ next year. So it's gonna be fun.
It's gonna be really cool, and it's gonna be interesting
to see how this spreads to the other Big four
for him and the confidence that it's gonna get because
(15:41):
in the big big contest he always gets super excited
yep and kind of just goes a little too much.
Now with that confidence, he's gonna lay back just a
little bit and no one to apply the pressure a
little bit more. And I think the confidence he's gonna
get after winning this one, I will not be surprised
(16:01):
if he wins the other three that are out there
right now. I would not be surprised if he wins
the Arnold. I would not be surprised if he wins
the Rogue. I would not be surprised if he wins
World Strongest Man. The guy's got no glaring weaknesses. He's
good at everything. All he has to do is keep it,
(16:21):
keep it together, and be healthy.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
I mean he'll be in the top three in the deadlift,
to be the top three in the log and be
the top three and the stones everything.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah, And in this show he had a new level
of focus, and like I said, that's the biggest contributing
factor from everything that I've ever seen. So with that
new level of focus that he's able to obtain, hopefully
this rolls into every show after because as long as
he lets that roll in for every show from this
point on, and take this from the take this example.
You know what I'm saying, I don't. I don't see
(16:54):
anybody beating him when he's one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Yeah, it'll be fun to watch him and Hooper get
after it and thor So It's it's gonna be the
next few years in this sport. It's gonna be an
awful lot of fun to watch. And Hatton, Oh.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yes, he just keeps it, keeps getting better and better. Yeah,
he keeps dialing it in, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
And then Trey as well. Trade Trey. Trey's got a
grip issue. But if if there's events and it's not
in there, or there's only one of them, Tray can
sneak in there and take the whole thing too. He's
won the Strengest Man on Earth twice yep. So Tray's
a goodly strong and Thomas Evans keeps getting better. Look
(17:40):
at Thomas got third. Thomas made a couple couple of
mistakes that you know, cost him some points, but he
could be right. He can win the dang thing too.
There's so many guys right now that are really, really good.
So it's gonna be a fun next few years of
watching these guys get after each other at the big shows.
It really is.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, And like I said, this top ten at the
Strongest Man on Earth was just a lineup of static monsters.
You know what I'm saying, everybody here was pulling hard,
moving hard, and you know what I'm saying. And that's
the thing too, is like there there. You know, Evan
won at the end of the day, but every it
was well earned. He had to fight for that to
(18:22):
get that position, to get those points because and the
pressure was on.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
He didn't fall.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Yeah, yeah, pressure was on.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
I mean going into that last event, he had to
win it. He had to win it, yep, to win
the thing, and he did. He had to finish, he
had to beat Lucas at it, and other people had
to get in there, and that happened. So yeah, that's
all to him. It wasn't It wasn't like, oh, I'm okay,
(18:49):
just going to the last event and I'm he had
to go in there. The pressure was on and he
did unfold and he kept his head on. He did
what he needed to do and he got through it.
And now he's the strongest man on earth. That's all
to him.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's it, and it was. It was a hell of
a celebration too at the end.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
To you.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
So you can see the emotions, you can see everything
that was on his face, all the thoughts that you
could be thinking about, you know what I'm saying. Even
after the show was over, and you know, you and
him were hugging at the at the back, you know,
just like congratulating him because he was just so overwhelmed
with emotion of like he actually did it.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, oh yeah, you know, And I'm sure it hasn't
even sunk in yet. No, it probably won't sink in
for another day or two or maybe even three, until
he realizes this is a big one and he's the champ.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
That's it, you know. And you know.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Ten years from now, he'll still be the strongest man
on Earth twenty twenty five, thirty years from now, no
matter what the whole rest of his life, he will
be the strongest man on Earth twenty twenty five. No
one that can take that away.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
From him, no one, you know. Like I said, it
was a great show. Brian and carry put on one
hell of an event. You know what I'm saying. I
enjoyed every moment of it. You know what I'm saying.
Everything was locked in. You know, everything was ran pretty
much very efficiently. I want to say, maybe two hiccups,
but guess what, they were corrected extremely quick. Yeah, and
(20:18):
you know, and that's the thing too, is like you
know that that lets you know that you know when
hiccups happened, and things move quick and fix. It's because
they had contingency plans. They were set up. Steve Foshing,
I don't know how he uh manages so much because
god damn.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
And the funny thing is like, yep, I'm taking this,
I'm taking off till Wednesday, and then I'm training on Saturday.
And you're just like.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Steve Man, that's hardcore exactly.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Got it in, got everything built, got everything done and
taken down, and there was a concert and then the
next day they had to be out of there by
six in the morning.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah, that didn't finish so like ten something.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
So they had basically eight hours to get everything in
the building and in the back out for the concert. Yep.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Yeah, And like I said, we had what maybe twelve
hour days or not even twelve, a little bit more
than that because we were getting up at five, being
at the event right a little bit before seven, and
then we weren't getting back to like around midnight. So
it's like you know what I'm saying. There, there was
a lot of time, a lot of effort. There was
a lot of things going on.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
People like Nick looks tired. It was like, yeah, I
am tired. That's a long days, but you know what,
it's good. I had no business going over in squatting.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
After Hey, and that's what I was just. I was
just about to have us get into because Nick did.
He did, and he has like an unofficial squat record.
And I say unofficial because that's how Nick considers it.
You know what I'm saying. Because he squatted in a
rough powerlifting me. You know what I'm saying. He didn't bench,
he didn't deadlift, but goddamn it, he still broke the
record by fifty five pounds sixty seven sixty seven. See
(21:55):
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
The record in my age category was six thirty nine
my age and my weight class. Yeah, and I opened
with seven o five, missed it, then came back and
got it, and I was like, okay, there's nothing in
my legs, there's nothing in anything. I'm taking that as
a win and getting out of here. I was exhausted,
(22:17):
but it was so much fun. I mean, we left
the we left the arena at about eleven forty, got
in there, got warmed up as fast as I could
because I had to go from the arena to in.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
The exhibition hall, and yeah, thirty minutes to warm up,
not even.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Not even because we got in it was probably close
to I would say twelve when we got in there,
probably pretty close to that. And I was done before
twelve thirty, between warm up and then squatting twice out there,
I was done before twelve thirty. It's already over. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
we're done. Because the meat started a little faster, they
(23:03):
had a few less people than what they expected, and yeah,
they were kind of slowed it down and holding it
up so I could get there in time. So it
was very nice for them to do that USPA. I
appreciate them. Let me come in there and do that.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Yeah, we switched to a yeah you know. And here's
the thing too, I wanted to be stressed. I want
to stress this enough. We got there Thursday, so that's Thursday, Friday,
and then the Saturday morning, so that's two and a
half days. And it was the day, Yeah, three and
(23:39):
a half days. It was three and a half days
of Nick being on his feet, not relaxing, not preparing,
and not doing what his normal routine would be doing
to squat that kind of way, and yet still managed
to squat seven oh five exactly. You know what I'm saying,
barely food, barely anything set up, and you know, luckily
(23:59):
Nathan Paithon just happened to be there because he wanted
to watch you and you know, and was like, I
got your covered.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
It's like, you're ready to read a book. He did
like a blood test to see where my butcherer was.
He's like, yeah, the only only thing you're prepared for
is read a book. And he's like, eat this, eat this,
eat this, eat these and eat these. And I was like, whoa.
It woke me up because I was yeah, the first
one was, I was like, but he woke me up
(24:26):
pretty good for the second one and I did what
I had to do and got it and yep, yeah,
all was good. It was still really fun. I'm just
disappointed myself. Everybody else was very happy with it, and
I couldn't appreciate that morning.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Everybody.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
I have my standard and sometimes I got to learned
that was all I had that day and I should
be very grateful and I am very grateful.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
And I got it, yes, yeah, but also too.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
And then of course and Cohen's sitting right there. I mean, yeah,
it's amazing when you know your friends come up and
Jerry's like, hey, get your head right, really, are go
do this? I'm like, okay, Jerry. And then so it
was pretty cool. It was very special, and Matt Barron,
one of my old training partners, got to come in
(25:11):
and be there, and you were there. Yeah, And I mean,
I can't tell you how much I thank you for
saving my tail on like everything. I mean, this doesn't
none of the stuff that's going on with me, with
this and pretty much my social media and all that
stuff goes off without you. It really doesn't. So thank you.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Oh no, you're welcome.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Brother.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
I'm saying, I enjoy doing it and have fun doing it.
And guess what, we get to do these amazing things
together and I get to be there to witness every
one of them. So there's such a much part of it.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
And I just want to know. I want you to
know I appreciate you and thank you, and I probably
don't do enough to make you feel that way, but
I just I really can't say thank you enough because literally,
I mean, you're always catching my tail, you know, and
helping me, and there for like everything. If I turn
(26:02):
around I need something, you're you're you're on it. If
you're there with the film, you're there with the editing,
you're there with getting stuff to me. So thank you.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
I know you. You are very welcome.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Brother.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
You know what I'm saying. I do it with joy
in my heart because you know what I'm saying. We're
It's funny because like I said, we and Nick we've known
each other for what, uh it's five years now, five
six years, five six years now, and uh we're best friends.
That's just what it is. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
You know, I just want to say thank you to
you publicly because and to everybody because like I said,
I can't do a lot of the stuff that I'm
doing without your help.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
So but I appreciate it. Thank you. You know what
I'm saying. I don't mind. I don't mind being the
man behind the curtain.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I'm just sorry I can be frustrating at times, not
what I'm supposed to be here doing. Just thank you
for your patience.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Oh yeah, now you've improved greatly.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
But you know, oh, you're welcome. Like I said, I
enjoy it. But let's get back to after that Power
lefting meet m Man. You were wiped out, but yet
we still pushed on for the finals because people got
to remember this happened in Oh yeah, you know what
(27:25):
I'm saying. You know, and Eddie got him again. We're
watching you know what I'm saying, and that videos is
doing extremely well already. Well you know what, we are
plotting Eddie's downfall. You know, something will happen in the
near future, and you know things have a way of
(27:49):
coming back around. Yeah, they do that, they do, so
be Eddie. You've been warned. You know what I'm saying.
That's it, and it's speaking revenge for those because we
we briefly went over the arm wrestling event, Robbie, you know,
but it was placed into your stories. It was a
(28:10):
little blip of it, you know what I'm saying. But
also Rob posted it out there too. Uh you know
he lost his match to Eddie and had a price
to pay.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Oh yes, that dress was quite amazing. Yeah, well fill
the well fed him very well, but I gotta put
it on.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yep, he did.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
He walked around on pay per view, Yeah yeah, yeah,
he was identifying a little different that day. Apparently but
it's all good fun and yeah, dadda beat and interesting thing.
(28:51):
The interesting thing would be if Robert would have been
oh yeah, yep, but maybe Robbie will get the next
time because Robbie.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Has had a lot more experienced oh yeah, you know,
just off of the stuff he discussed, you know what
I'm saying, which we won't discuss here, but he's planning
on taking even more serious of what he's actually taken it.
He's plucked very and uh yeah. But besides that, our
flights were home smooth, you know what I'm saying, So
(29:23):
like we can't argue with that. You know, we ended
up riding back on the bus with Bobby, and you know,
Bobby made his announcement, which is you know, yeah, you know,
it's sad to see, but you know, you got to
know when you got to call it. You know what
I'm saying. I've enjoyed talking to Bobby and hanging out
with Bobby at just you know, Strongest, World Strongest Man
the few times that I've been there with him, and
(29:43):
just some of the other events, always g and all
that stuff, always a fun guys hanger.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
The World Strongest Man was my last World Strongest Man
in twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Yeah, damn, it.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Was pretty neat.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
I got to see most of his career, so it
was Yeah, it.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Was pretty cool. I was there when he set the
blog record that got broken this weekend. Yeah, I got
to see a lot of amazing feats that Bobby did.
So it it's pretty cool to see his career, and
I'm happy to see him retireing one piece exactly.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
You know what I'm saying, No solid injuries, no nothing.
You know, he can still fully function and move and
do his things, you know what I'm saying. And guess
what he's he set himself up for a career after
strong Man, so I was happy to hear about that.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Yeah, so it would be good stuff. Oh yeah, and
then yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Oh no, no, I was gonna say. Then we got
you know, but get into the airport. I didn't realize
how big the Denfork Airport was, and uh, you know,
I'm saying that was a new experience for me.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
So but it was nice. He came and hung out
with me telling my plane flight and then had to
sit there.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
For oh yeah, yeah, a long time. It was a
long time. But it was, like I said, I ended
up you know so many people at the event. You know,
eventually you're going to run into people. So I did
to hang out with Chad for a couple hours before
we both had to fly out because you know, we
were both taking Frontier out of town. So that ended
up working out. Really we will mm hmm. It's always all.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
The way around. But I'm it's just there's so much
going on. Like I'm going to go to commentary for
s c L in September, so that's gonna be pretty cool.
I have a seminar in November that I'm gonna go
do North Carolina, so that's gonna be really cool. And
(31:26):
then of course OSG, which I wanted to compete in.
I went to an orthopedic surgeon today and had him,
you know, look at my hip and X ray my
hip and do the MRI and uh yeah, he's referred
me to a guy in Utah and we're gonna go
(31:47):
look at fixing my hip and then I will come back.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
So yeah, it's gonna take a little bit longer, but
it's okay. I'll be back. It's just exactly it it,
you know, they, like I said, we've seen Travis, Jerry
and Gary you know, what I'm saying Gary Biss himself.
You know what I'm saying, all these guys got hit replacements,
(32:13):
and you know what, what's the one common factor that
we've heard from every one of them? Exactly? So guess what,
you know, you knew when to call it. You're calling
it so you know, I'm saying, that's something that you know,
for those who are watching, guess what, there will be
content about that with everything going through you know.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
What, Yeah, we're gonna, yeah, We're gonna go through this
front to back, the whole process and show it on
documented all show you know what I do to rehab
from from injuries and things like that. It's it's gonna
be a fun process. And then my my range emotion
(32:49):
would come back after that and I'll be able to
get down and grab the deadlift bar confidently again exactly.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
You know. And and Travis already pulled heavy a few
times and said good heavy, yeah, exactly. So there's a
lot of good examples there. So, like you know what
I'm saying, I'm happy that you're ready to do that, because,
like I said, being one of the persons, one of
the people that is right with you the whole time,
you know, I do hear the moan and groan of
when we're doing specific things, and you know what I'm saying, now,
(33:16):
it's time to take care of that.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Well, yeah, I started getting ready for the ladder deadlift,
and after the first day of training for it, I
could not step on the brink for like four days comfortably.
And I mean when I'm yeah, And at some point
(33:38):
doctor McGee was like, there's going to come a time
when you know it's time, because it ain't yet. He goes,
what you could anno, it's time. When we do, we
fix it, you'll be right back to normal. I was like, okay,
so that's it.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
It was time, and it was you know what I'm saying.
And guess what, that's great to hear because you know
a lot of times, you know, like being at the
pro level you are, sometimes you can think you can
etch it out just a little bit longer, but the
sooner you take care of it.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
So exactly, because you know, there's still a lot of
things that Nick wants to do, because you know, one
of the things that we talked about is he wants
thirty years straight of or I want.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Thirty years of being able to squat over eight hundred pounds.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
That's what I'm not years straight years of squat and
ee hunter. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So we'll
be able to do that, you know, because like you
leave it too. It's like the.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Crazy thing is is even with the hip the way
it is, I can still squat. It just affects my deadlift.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Oh yeah, it's just a different pitch movement, you know
what I'm saying. When you when you got a hinge
at the hip and hinging at the knee is a
little bit different because you can get into the right
position correct, you know, at least that's what I would think.
You know, I'm not an expert.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Plus, I go down super super slow, and then I
push it into the right position and let the weight
it for me. I can't really do that pulling into
a deadlift. Yep. So it's I loaded him as I'm squatting.
You can't really load it like that when you're doing
exactly exactly.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
But also to even still squatting seven hundred pounds at
your age with your hip, it's still got done. You
just strength everybody.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yeah, So but it'll be good stuff, it'll be fine.
And then I'm gonna be keep training the log and
keep training on the other stuff. I'm gonna do ohs
ge just maybe not this year. So as I say,
I had my first appointment today, I go to get
ahold of this guy in the Utah and then we'll
(35:33):
see where that goes. Yeah, if they can figure out
a way to get me through November without being in
a lot of pain, I would still do that as well.
But yeah, with the kidney, with only having one kidney,
the things that they would do to do that probably
are not going to work out. So yeah, I have
to wait. I have to balance that in there.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
So exactly well, you know, it's waiting to hear the opinion,
is waiting to see what they can offer, what's on
the table. And also too, there is a time schedule
because these things aren't done overnight. Everything's got to be
set up, prepped ready, And even too, there's there might
be some expectation of you that needs to be done
before you even get the surgery. So it's like if
they can mitigate it and take care of it, you
know what I'm saying. It's not we're not saying. You know,
(36:15):
Nick's going all out of OSG but you know, guess what,
you know what I'm saying. If we can, we'll do
what we can correct.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
So that's kind of where that's sitting right now. It's
still a little in the up, up in the air,
but we'll figure it out and training for it and
everything else. But I just I don't.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Know exactly, you know, a little at a time. That's
all we're doing here.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
So oh yeah, well its yeah, there is that, you
know what I'm saying, And we're pushing it, uh you know,
and we pretty much covered everything from OSG or not WASG,
but from Strongest Men on Earth what our new project is.
And like I said, this this is the Patreon. This
is all the beginning of stuff. You know what I'm saying.
We're gonna get a lot more deeper, be a lot
(36:58):
more prepared. But the thing is sometimes you just got
to jump into it, get it started, and get it moving,
because that's the best thing to do, you know what
I'm saying. And also, guess what for from this point on,
our schedule is going to be on Wednesdays seven pm.
So for those who are part of the community, guess
what you can do the chat, ask your questions and
we will answer them or you know, not me really,
(37:20):
but Nick because he's the professional. I'm just I'm the producer,
you know what I'm saying. I'm in the background. Nick
has the information. I'm just here for the fun. Yeah,
So you know, for those who want to join, please
support the Patreon head down the Patreon link will be

Speaker 2 (37:49):
And then within a couple of weeks, we will have
a strong man workout in there, a power lating workout
in there, and a regular workout in there, and then
you know, we'll probably start also in a video section
where we have videos and then they can click on
as I'm cooking food and stuff like that, so you
can see how we eat as well. You can just
click on the videos of it and look at that
(38:10):
as well. So absolutely that'll be some more content so
we can kind of help you eat for strong man
or powerlifting or just getting muscle in general. And still
not you know, stay fairly lean. At the same time,
I never carry a whole bunch of body fat on me.
I try to stay fairly lean, not fifty six, not
(38:35):
too bad. We're doing okay, it's better than most. Well
