I drafted Jake Ferguson and with the Cowboys, and of
course he got hurt, so I had him, and then
I picked up your tight end for the Rams. Bro
they messed out and.

I think so because we don't have receivers no more.

And that's why I thought, oh, Cooper Cuff is out
and the pooka the who obviously got injured in the
first game, so he was out. I thought, oh, for sure,
Matt Stafford is about to get his tight end involved. Wrong.

So the reason why I'm ohing too is because my
lack of production of the tight end position. Between the
two weeks, they got me four point six points between
one point seven and you do the math.

ohing too and then finished strong.

How is that for your Rams this early in the season. Obviously,
the first game they went to they went to Detroit, right,
it was the Master Jared Goff game, and came up
short in that game. But this last game against the
the Arizona Cardinals, I was not expecting a beatdown like that.
Talk to me how you feeling?

It was crazy?

Well, ever since the Detroit game, two of them last
two of my tackles was out on the line. Then
after that game too more went out on injury by
center and my left guard. So the line has been hurricans. Yeah,
if you don't give Matthew Stafford time, it's going to
be a long day. And just so happens in Arizona,

it was a long day.

Now, I understand that, because you know, we always think
about skill positions. Obviously in fantasy that's who you draft,
right quarterback, skill positions.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
You want to make sure that's on lock. But you're
absolutely right.

You need a strong offensive line that has some sort
of chemistry, especially in you know, division games like They
had won eight straight games against the Cardinals before that
beatdown was forty something like that, and I almost almost bet
on that game. I'm so glad I didn't. I'm thinking, oh,
this is a lot like the Rams.

I was guarantee within, but as you know, in the NFL,
nothing's guaranteed.

injuries to your offensive line, it didn't have anything to
affect with Kyler Murray and his first round draft pick,
future Hall of Famer. I say, Marvin Harrison Junior, he
showed up and showed out. I mean he just looked.
He looked like Larry Fitzheron in his prime.

You know, I guess yeah, So I like that kid.
He's a little bit bigger than his dad, more physical,
more strong. Route running is the same.

It's just Junior is just more more physical. Now you
can just see it on on the field. His presidence
alone is it is crazy. He's gonna be a He's
going to be a star in this league. I like
the balls on this guy.

I think the winning pot is four hundred, four hundred bucks,

But man, so many people put thousand dollars into their leagues.

Yeah, So I can understand, you know, people actively searching
the waiver wire and stressing this early in the season.
For us, again, it's the entertainment value, so you know,
you could rebound. You could search the waiver wire, you
can you know, coerce somebody to trade and you know,
getting a rebound. But in the real NFL times you

talk about surprise team starting zero to two, the Baltimore ravenings.

so six of eight targets the first week eight point

against Baltimore ravens ninety eight yards. No touchdowns yet, but
you know they're going to continue to feed him. He

You know the Chargers before that, San Diego. You know,
his his family they saw the change in it, but
they had no idea, right and of course you don't
really get to see these these brading scans until you know, unfortunately,
after that athlete passes away. I think, you know, technology
has got a little bit better now you have teams
using the guardian caps.

Jabrill Pepper's safety, you know, wearing his throughout and I
like to see that, but you're right, I don't want
to see his quality of life go. You know, that's
why Teddy Bridgewater he came out and he's a high
school coach saying that's why he retired. You know what
I mean, He's like, I don't want the last thing
image for my kids to see me getting carried off
a field in a stretcher. And when you when you
talk about a brain injury, you mean, you're right. You're

so much more than just a football player. You're a
football player for five hours on a Sunday, right, that's
your profession. But you have so much more life. And
we talked about it.

It is game to the point that when when it's enough,

concussions already.

Yeah, and look, I've had a concussion before. I mean,
in folks listening, you think, okay, what's the concussion that
football players is a rough sport. A concussion is when
your brain is smashing against the inside of your skull.
Your skull is rattling around in your head. That's why
sometimes you get the disneyness to vomiting. That's why it's
so dangerous for you know, people to fall asleep after

And I remember being a sophomore in high school getting concussed.
I wanted to sleep so bad, and you know, the
people around keeping me awake, right, And it became a
big thing because the training staff didn't really recognize that
I was concussed. And I was actually asked by my
coach if I could come back in and I just remember.

Looking at this man like I, I can't even find
the words to respond to you.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
And I'm very glad that he just told me to
sit down because I didn't know what a concussion was.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
You know, every you play football, you get your bell rung.
You just think, okay, that's it. You get a stinger
in your neck, that's it. But when I saw Tua
and the way he you know, put his neck.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Down and the way it bent, like bro, like I
just I don't want.

To see that. And let's think to what is not
a Lamar Jackson. He's not a He's not a scrambling
run around so and the game was a blowout. The
Bills had them handed down. So to see it happen
like that, and it seemed to me, and I could
be very wrong about this, that he was trying to
earn the respect of his team after making an agreed
just pick six error before.

And it just seemed like was he concussed before, you
know what I mean?

Fading back and throwing the ball far side of the field.
We know he doesn't have the best arm strength. He
could throw the ball deep, but that ball kind of
hangs up a little bit.

If I'm his dad, his family, I'm I'm checking in
on him every day and just thinking like is it
worth it?

lack of production of the tight end position. Between the
two weeks, they got me four point six points between

short in that game. But this last game against the
the Arizona Cardinals, I was not expecting a beatdown like that.

Well, ever since the Detroit game, two of them last
two of my tackles was out on the line. Then
after that game too more went out on injury by
center and my left guard. So the line has been hurricans. Yeah,
if you don't give Matthew Stafford time, it's going to
be a long day. And just so happens in Arizona,

Now, I understand that, because you know, we always think
about skill positions. Obviously in fantasy that's who you draft,
right quarterback, skill positions.

You need a strong offensive line that has some sort
of chemistry, especially in you know, division games like They
had won eight straight games against the Cardinals before that

Well let me ask you this, and this is more
on a serious note because you know, unfortunately the world
had to witness another to a concussion and it was
it was.

It was pretty bad the way he kind of you know,
one thing you never do and I know you know
his son's playing the running back this year.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Never put your head down into contact and.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
You know never besides that, and show him that video
and as to what not to do. But I'm really
glad in bravo to be a Dolphins for keeping him
out so that he can get through concussion protocol and
put him in an injured reserve. I don't want to
see him on the field after after two to three weeks,
but give him the full four weeks out reevaluate him then.

But I say shut him down for the whole year. Yeah,
what hit?

The question I was going to ask you is would
you like to see to it tongue Bloa retire.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
I want to see him to sit out this year.
I want the Dolphins to see him out this year
and see how he goes because seventeen games, it's the
NFL is brutal, man, it's a man's sport. I think
he should clear his head for one year. See the
way is that and if he's not responding the way

that you think that he is supposed to respond in
situation and stuff like that. I say, shut him down.
I think it's time to retire, because no man's life
deserves that.

You know, we, unfort we have seen the effects of CTE,
and it seems to be happening not only more frequently,
but sooner in people's lives. Like I remember one of
the biggest cases was you know, Hall of Fame linebacker
Junior Say out right, the Patriots and the Dolphins and.

You know the Chargers before that, San Diego. You know,
his his family they saw the change in it, but
they had no idea, right and of course you don't
really get to see these these brading scans until you know, unfortunately,
after that athlete passes away. I think, you know, technology
has got a little bit better now you have teams
using the guardian caps.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Jabrill Pepper's safety, you know, wearing his throughout and I
like to see that, but you're right, I don't want
to see his quality of life go. You know, that's
why Teddy Bridgewater he came out and he's a high
school coach saying that's why he retired. You know what
I mean, He's like, I don't want the last thing
image for my kids to see me getting carried off
a field in a stretcher. And when you when you
talk about a brain injury, you mean, you're right. You're

so much more than just a football player. You're a
football player for five hours on a Sunday, right, that's
your profession. But you have so much more life. And
we talked about it.

Life is not Life is more important than this game.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
I think, no, And I'm glad he got his money.
I'm glad that he did get his contract at the end.
I don't know what the buyout would be if he decided,
but he himself said he has no plans to retire.

But I mean, plus he constantly keeps on having those
uh you getting knocked out every every time. He constantly
having those.

It is game to the point that when when it's enough,
you know, yeah, and when when somebody's gonna step in
and say enough for ready? Because I know what the
last from last year he had like what almost four
concussions already.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Yeah, and look, I've had a concussion before. I mean,
in folks listening, you think, okay, what's the concussion that
football players is a rough sport. A concussion is when
your brain is smashing against the inside of your skull.
Your skull is rattling around in your head. That's why
sometimes you get the disneyness to vomiting. That's why it's
so dangerous for you know, people to fall asleep after
(30:09):
And I remember being a sophomore in high school getting concussed.
I wanted to sleep so bad, and you know, the
people around keeping me awake, right, And it became a
big thing because the training staff didn't really recognize that
I was concussed. And I was actually asked by my
coach if I could come back in and I just remember.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Looking at this man like I, I can't even find
the words to respond to you.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
And I'm very glad that he just told me to
sit down because I didn't know what a concussion was.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
You know, every you play football, you get your bell rung.
You just think, okay, that's it. You get a stinger
in your neck, that's it. But when I saw Tua
and the way he you know, put his neck.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Down and the way it bent, like bro, like I
just I don't want.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
To see that. And let's think to what is not
a Lamar Jackson. He's not a He's not a scrambling
run around so and the game was a blowout. The
Bills had them handed down. So to see it happen
like that, and it seemed to me, and I could
be very wrong about this, that he was trying to
earn the respect of his team after making an agreed
just pick six error before.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
And it just seemed like was he concussed before, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Fading back and throwing the ball far side of the field.
We know he doesn't have the best arm strength. He
could throw the ball deep, but that ball kind of
hangs up a little bit.

And so yeah, see that, I'm just like, man, like if.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
If I'm his dad, his family, I'm I'm checking in
on him every day and just thinking like is it
worth it?
Speaker 2 (31:30):
I'll be there next to him. I'll be like, son,
we gotta really think about about your future here now. Yeah.
I don't want I don't want you to be leaving
me before I go, you know.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Yeah. Yeah, And then I mean I don't know if
he's married or has kids or anything, but.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
They're gonna be taken care of, you know what I mean.
Like he can go go back, go back home. You know,
you got acred, you got farm, you can take care
of your family. Just you know, do the Marcus Mariota
thing and do the insurance commercials.

You know what I mean, Like, I don't want to.

He's a legend already the way he stepped in at
Alabama and won the National championship game. Like you know, guys,
guys have done less and have you know ritten?

was preparing for this. I just definitely want to get

page about this because it's entertainment and when I want
to tune into a national televised Thursday night game, that's

backup quarterbacks we know is an issue. Just can't even

Mike McDaniel is supposed to be this offensive genius and

you need a good, good, good quarterback. They can stick

We got the Connecticut son going against the Indiana Fever.
Caitlyn Clark, who is the face of the franchise, even
though they refuse to market her. You know, she set

list of records, but before I do, Asia Wilson, I
do think she will be a three time MVP. If
it hasn't already been announced, I believe it will be.

She set the single season record for most points score
the first thousand point season and in NBA his w
NBA history, Wow, set the record for the most rebounds
in the season. The number I saw last time was
four hundred and fifty one, passing rookie Angel Reese. So
I just wanted to give a shout out to both
of those women who put it down.

Kelsey Mitchell, which is Kaitlyn Clark's backpart. Mitchell average, I think,
just shy under twenty points a game. Just it's been
absolute joy watching the w NBA and I'm really glad that,
you know, it got as much attention as it did.

Outside of the games. There's just some real nasty stuff,
like when I'm on Twitter and you click on it
and you see what people say about these women, and
it's just it's just so nasty. That's the ugly side
of sports. But I'm glad they're talking about it because
that's going to grow the popularity of the game. So,
you know, congratulations to all the playoff teams.

I would be tuning in to see if the intensity
ramps up the way that the NBA does in the playoffs.
I'm really hoping that's the case because.

Indiana Fever. I'm going to see if Caitlin Clark can
come in clutch when when it matters, because she is
the real deal. We've been given her praise. But if

Because the Connecticut Sun, you know, up there with the
New York Liberty. I think the New York Liberty got

the one seed as at the best record, you know,
and but I think that they're definitely going to get
a couple of games from them because the Fever started
the season, they played like eleven games and like I
don't know, nine days or something. I don't know, it's
something crazy to start. But once after that All Star break,
they got Roland and they started, you know, really, you know,

showing their team chemistry.

They're jelling aflet through the season.

You just don't start fighting, fighting about your your new
teammates and how you get jail and how you can
contribute to the team and look like they're clicking and

It's it's a wonderful thing to see. So I'm excited.
I want to just see here if I can pull
up some of these stats here, because you know, I
couldn't even believe when I was looking at some of
these things, like all the records that Kitlin Clark was
breaking right here. But oh, here's here's my list right here.
So this season league leader and assists per game, league

for rookie right there, first and field goals made by
a rookie. Assists per game by a rookie, steals per

on that Olympic team. She said that they woke up
a giant, right, And you know, hats off to head
coach Christie Sides for you know, honing her in and
you know, allowing her to be herself and naturally developed the.

she's a rookie.
