Speaker 2 (00:46):
Man, you look like you went got that from the
Dollartory band. Right there. You gonna go get your money back?
So get your money back.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Hey, it's better when it's free, you know. So it
doesn't look too good. It's it's a was a good thing.
It's free.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I can't even talk smack your team later further than
my dad in the playoffs, I'm dismissing around.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Well, I just got some good news that we've just
got tickets for my guests Arounds that is coming to
Maui on June eighteenth and nineteen, So me and summer
we got tickets for I attend to the little mini
cap they're gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Have over there.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Show me the money and hopefully I see some stars
that I can maybe talk to and take pictures of.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
The waters.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
No, that's that's ideal right there. You want to be
in the right spot. So make it all day event
and then you can get them to come on the
Big Island sports talk show. It'll be great.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Hey, that's a good idea. That's a good idea.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
No, you definitely need to be checked out in your
ram stuff though. Do better get up there, get close
and personal, like just whatever story you gotta make up
so that they can sign some of you.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yes, so I'm gonna I'm gonna bargin. I'll be the
first one in line, open the gates.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Hookah. Who good?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Give you a sign new jersey? Please?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I love you and your biggest than.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Not only fat and fantasy. Let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
With That's pretty dope though. I appreciate you sharing that
with me. And remember I was saying a couple episodes
ago for you more than a couple but that you
need to go out there and do something. You need
to go see your team. You work hard. So that's
really exciting. Now, how did it come about? Did you
see the tickets? Did she find the tickets? What?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Actually, she summer texts me the I guess the registration.
We got a registration for get tickets and stuff. So
she sent me that and I was looking at her like, wow,
there'll be a good opportunity to meet some of my
uh so some of the RAMS teams. So that came
about and just jumped on it. Meet some what you got.
(02:51):
I now, we got a car, got a hotel room,
and we just got to wait for the day to
come and we can head all them to Mai.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
That's exciting, I mean, but from where you are, it
is literally a twenty minute flight and you're gonna toss
a rock to the other island for how close you are,
and then you get to really enjoy that, man Like
that's honestly, like, what's more exciting. You get to see
the team up close with your own eyes before you
know that they're going to be just in helvets and shorts.
There's many camps, but still you get to see the
(03:20):
speed of the game. You get to be up close
and personal. It really is amazing when you get to
see athletes with just that much talent up close and personal.
And it means a lot more when it's your team too,
because even if it was the Raiders coming over, that'd
be still pretty cool. Thing Like the its Rats, you.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Know, I would love to see some some Sally time,
like my son's coming with with with with me in summer,
and I told him, get some questions out for for
for like your position that you're trying out for Nixer
for varsity football. I think it's gonna go for a
running back. But I just want to go talk to
Carrion Williams Corman, you know, get get some insights of
(04:01):
how how it got them to become professionals, and and
how they did in high school and stuff like that.
Just brought a bunch of questions and just I just
approach them and talk to them.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
That's great advice. And you never know you might get
the opportunity. I mean, you'll be right there. Yeah, well,
let me ask you this just on the other side,
because you know, people love celebrities and their fans are
all this time and they start falling all over and
rolling all over yourself, and then you walk over to
Matt Stafford and he just gives you a stiff arm
and you're like, are you still are you still going
to support of all?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
I'm not tackling, man. I used to be an all
side linebacker.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Man. I know to get to the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
You better sign this. You better sign this.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Knees and copping them together.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
He said, f the picks. That's what they were saying
a couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
You better get your stuff together.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
The only guy I really want to talk to is
Sean McVay. I want to see what make him make
his mind work, how why he's he's on his offense
and all that good stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
I thought you were going to say, I want to
talk to Devonte and get the hook up with some
taco bell man.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
I guess it's not my house.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
I just want to pick my brain and see why
why he calls this plays in a certain time, and
you know, I just wanted to see what makes this
offense click.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Well, I mean, what if he hands you a clip
for it and means like you think, do it better?
Why don't you go out there.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I'm just looking for, you know, so some quotes and stuff.
I was like, iach my I can.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Tell my my my son from being a head coach,
you know, in the professional league, and give tips to
him and see if you can do any better at
this coming up season.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
That's so you've got a good heart, man. I like
that You're always looking after your kid and make sure
you can get the the role model, straight from the source.
That's the dope.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, And any little good advice and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
That's dope. No, that's that's great fatherhood. And Happy Memorial
Day to you. I don't know if he had anybody
in your family that served, but it's everybody out there
that put on the uniform for this country. You love, you,
appreciate you, and you know, we hope you have a
good episode for you. We're gonna kick it off with
the NBA. Obviously, last time we talked, we were in
the first round of the playoffs and somebody's team got you,
(06:32):
got jitimate sweep. The te Wolves took you out, took
the trash out, and we're just dragging it behind him.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Put us on over misery, Just put us over a misery.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Why you're bringing up all stuff? Well, what happened to
your boy? Luca thought like he was trying to show
up and show out, taking Rudy Gobart the one, and
then all of a sudden, all of a.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Sudden went up until Lebron the last. Like all the
part corners, you scored no points.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Who met got that. I'm tired.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I wanted to do that.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
My lens hurt Wow, like bra there's at least four
or five games that did never show up in the
poort quarter.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
And that's probably what killed us.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Not only that Rually grew bare grabbed like twenty rebounds
and put seven points on us.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
We couldn't stop the guy.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Dude, you guys had no answer at all. I thought, honestly,
I thought, that's why you've been duck in the last
couple of weeks, because you were embarrassed that your Lakers
God got that they did.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
It was a slow, slow debt. Man, it was brutal.
It was brutal to watch. But oh man, I don't
know if that trade actually did good or worse.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Well, you had no big man, no big yeah, but
you let Rudy Gobert of all people, you can't score, You.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Can't score a lick and he got thirty, dropped thirty on.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Us off the dome piece like and then and then again. Luca,
he's they call the traffic cold because he doesn't play
any defense at all, so easy just to dribble right
around him. And you know, your goat fell asleep at
the wheel and crash. And you know what, I'm disappointed.
If you're gonna be down three games to one, four
(08:14):
hits to one. Whatever. Can we put Ronnie in? Can
we get a spark right? You know? I want to
see him throw an alley oop up there to Lebron James,
and Lebron James come down and miss it, and that's
the end of this season. But you know who doesn't
get you know who doesn't get off the hook? Here's
j j Rad. We talked about it last time. He
wanted to play his starters for the entire half like
he's Tom Dippodol running people into the ground. Had no
(08:37):
defensive adjustments.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Like, you can't do that this. Old timers need their rest.
Old man George rolling up and there in his wheelchair,
you gotta get back to bed before eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
I guess, I guess. I mean, look, I'm just I'm
messing around. Obviously, the state of my scene. We need
to make the playoffs. It was the worst trade ever.
Bradley Beal is just chilling on the house right there, smiling.
You don't want to play basketball. He just want to collect.
He's like, my no, Trey Klaws, I ain't giving it up.
We're over here. Needed him to play some defense of
(09:12):
his own defense he's over here doing the mac arena,
counting all that.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Money that would giving him the ball on this guy.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
You know, then they fired Mike Budenholders Bootenholders, and now
we're if I just firing all these coaches that he
don't know what he's doing. But that's fine, that's fine.
Everybody's team is in disarray, well everybody's teams unless you're
an okayc fan or a Pacer fan like let's let's
just catch up or plick. I know a lot has happened,
but my goodness, the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York
(09:41):
Knicks up all people Nicks.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Do you think you think it would have been a
different series if Jason kiddam did he get hurt?
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Uh? No?
Speaker 2 (09:51):
And here's why, because then the Celtics were something like
ten and two without Jason Tatum when he wasn't on
the court, so they could figure it out, they could win. Yeah,
so you want to talk about what happened they lived
and died by the three they or what could have
happened to the twenty fifteen Warriors, except those guys could
actually make their three. Joe Mozilla is just like just keep.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
What's your drop?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Jalen Brown ain't got no left hand at all. Derek White.
This great player, Pritchard is great. He can always heap
up a half court shot, for sure. But look they got.
They got Molly Watt over here by You know what
I gotta say, and listen to me figure out a
sports talk show fan. I'm not just up here flapping
my gums all the time. When I'm wrong. I'm gonna
admit it. I was wrong about the Bucks. Okay, I
(10:42):
put my stock into doctor Rivers. I will not do
that again. Don't let me do that again. I was
wrong about the Clippers. They got knocked out by the Nuggets.
I was believing in James Harden, Norman Powell.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
He just had a run for their money.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Though, I must say, yeah, and they're going home again
like a healthy quad. I think they peaked at the
right time, but they two are all men, just ran
out of gas neath their diaper changed right then, I
was wrong about the Knicks. Remember I was talking about
the Knicks of the three seed, but they can't beat
good teams. And here I am talking about how they
mopped the floor with the Celtics. So yeah, I was
(11:18):
wrong with those situations, but I was happy to see
the Denver series. Okay, see and the Denver Nuggets.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
That was a great series Denver, Minnesota and Golden State.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Oh you know, yeah it was Minnesota and Golden State.
They knocked them out. So thunder Thunder took on the
Nuggets and took the Yeah, okay, cool. Yeah, but even
look at some of these NBA scores, Like the biggest
disappointment I would say is a Cleveland Cavaliers right one seed,
sixty four games they won and they got knocked out
like a round to a good Pacers team. I saw
(11:53):
a stat they were like thirty six and five at
home this year and gases off five losses came by
the Pacers, Like he's just crazy. You know, the Pacer
has been giving trouble. Oh I was wrong about them too.
Remember I was talking about Halliburton and he was the
most overrated player and he's over here doing.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
The so like if you're looking for Lee, he literally
was looking for Spike Spike.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Lee was pointing at him like, well, Reggie was pointing
at him. Reggie Miller was pointing at him. He was
like I see you, I see you. But that was crazy,
like crazy some of the some of the games we've
gotten here have just been nuts and I we didn't
touch the Western Conference finals with Shake Golgris Alexander the MVP.
(12:43):
He deserved it and he's been playing. Yeah, aside from
the game it just got blown out forty three points,
fifty fifty points something like that. He has been showing
up and showing out. Showed up in a big way today.
Had to make clutch free throws tonight against the timber
Wolves because they were surged and trying to even up
this series.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Like you said, his mid range game is nasty, so
bad nasty.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
And like they're talking about he's a foul merchant, like
like a free throw flopper, like not even like he
does a good job in initiating contact and utilizing the
mid range, which you know, animally say it's not a
good shot, but like it's who's taking it. Who talked
about Iaron Fox mid range of Samson Kawhi, Leonard min range,
(13:26):
Jamar DeRozan mid range, best one at all of them,
probably Kevin Durant even still mid rangees accent. So now,
granted a lot of those guys are at home, but
Sga as an MVP, the third one in Oklahoma, City
Thunder history behind of course Russell Westbrook and the twenty
seventeen and then Kevin Durant like twenty fourteen and stuff
(13:47):
like that. So congratulations to him. I think he deserved it,
and obviously I like I like the OKC Thunder, but
we said they were they were still young, and they
are at times they show it like chet Holmgren couldn't
cover Aaron Gordon in the Denver series, a big shot
at the big Shots like their inexperienced shows. But they
(14:08):
have some good coaching Mark Dagnall. He's doing a great job.
And I'm hoping they take it out because I think
that the Timberwolves will be back. I'd like to have
it for Julius Randall and h and Man, but I
think SGA when MVP take his team to the finals,
I think they'll be a better matchup for the Pacers,
who are going to get the drop down at Eastern Conference.
(14:29):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (14:30):
I'm right up boarded with Youma Man.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
You know that two guys that can score, both teams
can score in Indiana and OKC uh.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
That would be a good matchup in the finals, I think.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
But everybody, of course wants the Knicks to fight back,
and when I saw from Karl Anthony Towns last night
was just fantastic. I mean, he took over after being
virtually invisible in the first three quarters.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
He just showed up, showed up.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I like his game a lot. I really do like
Carl Anthony Tann. I know he's a defensive liability. And
when Jaylen Brunson, who I think draws more files and
flops than like Shake Kilgris Alexander does, but I like
his game. I always like the short ballers, you know,
but I don't know, it's it's exciting. Obviously, I'm hoping
the Knicks can kind of do what they need to do.
(15:17):
But give some credit to the Pacers, honestly. I mean
you talk about you've got a championship winning coach, which
kind of means something kind of doesn't in the NBA
because you're going to be a championship winning coach and
still get fired. But they have a great coach. They're
locked in Tallerius Halliburton. I think he has an ugly
(15:37):
jump shot, but it's very effective, obviously very ugly.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
It's slow, so slow, but it's gosh, it's funny.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
It's like it's like the Sean Mary and he almost
kind of pushes. Yeah, I don't. I don't like it.
It's not aesthetic to watch, but it's very effective. Meehart,
nim Hart and uh Lee Smith. I mean they're Pascal
siakam with thirty nine points playoff career. The other day.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Yeah, he said, I look at me, I'm.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
The captain now right, that's the way he looks. Somebody said,
somebody said it was the Haliban, like the Taliban and
the Somali empirates or whatever it was with Pascal.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Siaka that's what it just so happens if they are
in the playoffs. Who for.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Uh well, for who the Knicks or the pa or
oh I wanted, I guess for okay see, And here's
a reason, Like there's nothing against Indiana and the Facers,
Like I know, you know, Indiana's mourning the death of
the Colts owner Jim Ers and all of that. But
I'm like, I'd rather would rather see Okay see thunder
(16:50):
and shake goots Alexander take it. It'll keep this street
going of foreign born players who are winning m vps
and winning.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Championships, winning championships with those MVPs.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Yeah, and I just think, like against nothing against Halliburton. Obviously,
we want our American stars to be coming up. But
I don't know, it's it's maybe it's the West Coast
bias thing. I don't know. Indiana Pacers never really did
anything for me. He never really moved the needle, which
is probably one of the last episode I was talking about. Yeah,
(17:20):
they're all right, Like I was hoping every opponent that
they face in the playoffs would beat them just so
I wouldn't have to talk about.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Them and to talk about them. Yeah, and you could
be right, but.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
I'm gonna give them their credit. Like obviously I want
the Knicks to win. I want I want to see
Jalen Bronson and Josh Hart and og In and Obi
and Josh. I like Michel Bridges from my Sons. You know,
he's you know, he can get hot. It's a good team.
I'm waiting for it to break down and hit the wall.
But Tom Thinbodeaux keeps getting lucky because somebody keeps bailing
(17:53):
them out. So yeah, it's just it's just crazy. I mean,
I mean, I'm excited about it. It's as an NBA fan,
like I've been watching these games like watching these possessions,
seeing what happens teams that turn them all over hard
to come back and win. It is a perfect example
of a game tonight like t Wolves. Not only did
(18:14):
they not get any help from Julius Randall who scored
five point seven points something like that, and Anthony Edwards
only had two shot attempts in the first half of
what they lose by two, you know what I mean.
So it's like, that's what the playoffs are. You got
to go wall the wall. You gotta be there wire
to wire. But when you don't, the other team wins.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
No.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I don't know. This has been really exciting stuff, though
I'm anxious to see I think we talked about the finals.
Once basketball is over, there's kind of that sweet spot
of just baseball hockey and but you know, the NFL
is going to creep in there, and we'll talk a
little bit of NFL on the other side of the break.
(18:56):
But I just you know, I had to get on
you because of your Lakers, because they're I was like,
this guy's ducking me because his team got.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
No no, no, no no.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I love talking about him. Maybe they listen to me
and get Broni out of there and Lebron.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Let's start.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
It's ugly, right, you're not gonna You're not gonna get
rid of Ad and then get rid of Lebron.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Like try that again, buddy.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, man, he's just old man. He can't score in
the fourth quarter. That was week Lebron, Well he did.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
I think he evera is like twenty four, six and
eight something like that. Like he had good numbers throughout
the season. His plus minus was awful. So I'll tell
you talking about Lebron James, who I think was awarded
a second team All NBA thirteen maybe thirteen, something like that. Anyway,
but he's the only one on the list that had
a negative plus minus, and like it was like negative
(19:49):
like fifty nine. Yeah, somebody somebody like Steph Curry who's
not historically a great defender, it's like plus two hundred,
you know what I mean. So everybody else on that
list it looked like they deserve did and they gave
Lebron James because.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
We can't put you in the first one. We can
please in the second.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
That would have drew way too much attention. But like, yeah,
I mean, you know, I love Lebron James. Never been
in any trouble. You know, he's been a great face
in the franchise, but he could be a little bit
self serving, you know, yeah, like at times like him
tweeting this morning or yesterday talking about all NBA at
age forty and others. It's like Lebron, Let somebody else
do that for you, you know what I mean. Don't be,
(20:31):
don't be. Don't be that guy. Don't be that guy
yet you don't meet anybody. You don't need to patch
yourself on the back. Like, there's plenty of people that
will do that. Let other people do that. It's more
genuine when it comes.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Through that way.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Take it for me.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Yeah, that on another team.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Exactly. Well, let's think a quick commercial break, and when
we come back, let's talk a little bit of baseball.
Let's see what's going on here with some baseball. It
is going on. The Dodgers are doing pretty good, dropping
in the our rankings. But discuss that. That's brother sports
talk show will be right back.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
I don't carry if I never go back, so root
root funnel. They don't shame.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Oh lord, and it's one two strikes your out at.

Oh yeah, I took my brother in law to pet
Conda and it did not disappoint.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
It was pure chaos.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
We had a blast, roll tied.
Speaker 5 (22:04):

Speaker 2 (22:48):
All right, welcome back to Biglin sports talk show. Matt Parker. Here,
brother Noels, we're talking some baseball. Baseball.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Take me out to.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
You already knew it was coming, and you know it.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
You know it was take me out to the ball game,
Take me out to the Crown.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
You knew that drop is coming in there.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
Absolutely. Well.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Look, I would say, look, I've been watching some baseball, man.
You know, anytime I see your Dodgers one, I tune
in just out of respect, just in case it comes
up in conversation. I can say like, oh, man, it's
been a good ball And I was watching the previous
series they had against the Mets.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, and man, that was a series.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
You talk about the top two teams in the Major League,
in the major leagues with the highest payroll three hundred
and thirty million dollars this year for the Dodgers and
then second place for the Mets right behind that, but
the Stars showed up. He hits another home run. That's
eighteen for the year, league leading. Right now, if he's
(23:55):
tied up there with Aaron Judge, and somebody else is
up there at the top, but it's out to take
a look. But how do you feel about how your
Dodgers are playing right now?
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Good, good, kind of banged up on the pitching, but
other than that, it's being pretty good.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
I like the way they're using there.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Just the other day, I think they used their rookie catcher.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
I forget what his name was, I don't care who
it is.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Yeah, for Will Smith, and he played pretty good. I
like the way they're using the other youngsters and mixing
them up with the bold players. But they're all in
all been doing pretty good.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
The Dodgers spent a lot of money. Well, you're your
head of the National League West right now. Thirty three
and twenty one, four and six in your last ten games,
but nineteen and eight at home, so they are playing
really well at home. Shots Ravine, I think with the
twenty five dollars Dodger Dogs the.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Place somebody broke his nose for talking to Mad Jones.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
But just fourteen and thirteen on the road, and the
Padres right there behind them at thirty and twenty two.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
So yeah, and you get to San Francisco, they're ran
out there too.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Well, actually they actually are closer thirty one and twenty three,
so they've lost two more games.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
But Arizona's right behind too. It's gonna be a good
it's gonna be a good run.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Well, I mean, if you talk about who's behind, look
at the Rockies. It's the last team in that list,
and you know they're a historic blace right now. The
Rockies off off to like a historically bad start. It's like,
which is crazy because it's almost like very difficult to
lose that many baseball games. But here they are. And
we talked about it last time. Maybe it was those
(25:42):
those ugly purple jerseys and we were to lot with
Pus Jonathan. They just don't look good. And why you're
bringing up all stuff, I don't know. Like I thought,
if you're hitting the ball at altitude, you're supposed to
carry a little bit further. But the problem is they're
not hitting anything. It's like, I don't know, give those
guys some torpedo bats or whatever it is you can
(26:04):
give them. Yeah, those they need something they can't hit.
And I don't know. It's like for me when you're
watching baseball, like if I tune in, I would I
would love to just see some action. I want to
see something, right, That's why they got the ship. They
needed more runners. I want to see stolen bases. I
want to see blops. I want to see, you know,
(26:26):
doubles into the gap. I want to see action. I
got it when I when I got to see the
Mets and Dodgers play the other day. That game went
into extra innings. Dodgers ended up winning in thirteen. But
that was exciting because you think Dodgers have it in
the wrap and then yeah, three runs at the bottom
of the ninth to extend the game, and then a
(26:47):
few scoreless extra innings, but it was it's tough. And
the Dodgers being on the road in New York, you know,
they're they're they're clocked, their wires running past midnight. It
was something game ended like twelve thirty am. So, uh,
you know, it's been exciting. I really like to see.
You know, at this point in baseball, you can really
start to see teams separate. Yeah, right now, the Phillies
(27:11):
are absolutely just on a dominant tear.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
They're killing it, man, they're killing it. And even right
there with Detroit with thirty five and thirty four.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, and the power shifted. The power ragkis because your
Dodgers were in the top of the power rankings were
for a number of weeks before he'll come. The Phillies
jumping in there, and even the Angels had an eight
game win straight too, which is crazy. So you know,
but the thing with baseball is you can absolutely peak
(27:41):
too soon. So and you sound like you're in the
hood and dogs coming for you. You're okay, No, no, no, no,
it's that.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
It's my dog, shut down dogs.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
That's all right, it's the it's the chirp. Is that
the fantasy shirt you got on right there?
Speaker 3 (28:03):
That's right there.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
I saw it, I saw it. I like that thing.
He's fresh man.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Yeah, one of the commissioners might have a new shirt
coming out, so I can't wait.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
Toll down come out. Man.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
That means he got moving some serious money in that
league right there. What's the what's I one?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
So I'm just playing with everybody else's money. Show me
the money.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
That's understandable. That's that's what you do as a champ though.
That's what you do as a champ man. No, that's awesome.
I mean, look, I know we're talking baseball and everything
I'm looking up here. I'm absolutely absolutely, Oh the Kyle
short who is the one I was thinking of. He
was leading the league with eighteen over runs. I think
I think he got replaced now show jumped himself up.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Yeah, he just don't smacked another leadoff him run.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
But then yeah, but the thing about the Phillies, man,
they get on these streaks and they just they get hot.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Man, for some reason, they got hot.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
And you know how this is that championship air, you know,
Eagles just having their parade not too long an ago,
except celebrating it like you want to keep that winning going.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
All the way through and through a lot of Philly
fans is sappy right now.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Well, it's nice when you have something to celebrate. I mean,
people are kind of down here in Las Vegas. And
of course, of course I chose them as my hockey team,
like I'm gonna do the best I can to follow
them next year, no promises, but yeah, it's it's different
energy when your team is still in contention. So yeah,
I don't know, I'm excited. I know you think your
Dodgers are going to repeat this year, but the teams
(29:44):
just don't repeat in the World Series it's hard.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
It's baseball is different. It's hard. It's very hard.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
You could be good at one point and you can
be down at the next. You know, it's all depends
all hot you get into the playoffs. If you go
into the playoffs hot, you got a good chance.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Well, I want to I'm going to really closely monitor
and just kind of see how things are playing out
the National League. I think it's gonna be a little
bit closer than what people are expecting here.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
It's gonna be super close.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Just think what anybody playing the Rockies is going to
get a win. So, unless you were the Yankees about
a week ago, that was that was not a good look.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Ugly.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Those are called trap games when you're like, oh, of
course they're going to cover and Vegas is like, nope,
put the money in the bag right hand it over, give.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
It all to the house. The house always wins.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
I'm up close and personal. Trust me, I know it
is Oh yeah, yeah, I know it is the case.
But tell me again, when is this. Uh you're gonna
go see the rams. What are the dates for that?
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Eighteen and nineteen?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Okay, all right, so yeah it's coming up here. You're
less than a month. Well for sure, you know, you
got to get some photographs so we can upgrade talk show.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Put it all on those talk shows all on the
Big Island. I'll be posting.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Make sure you're loosing up your arm just in case
they throw you a football.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
You don't want to like, oh it's not the arm.
I got to loosen up my legs, man, just in case,
say yeah, Amy or anything.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
I don't think you need to be running anywhere. I mean, like,
I mean, I know you're pretty fast, but I don't
think compared to Devonte and Pooka, you got much of
a chance.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
But just make sure I guess the line. Man, I'll
definitely beat them.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yeah to they start getting moving. Man, these guys are
freaks nowadays.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Like tell me about it, man, this guy's is crazy nowadays.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Well, just make sure, I don't know, like, get you,
make sure your phone is charged. Make sure you got
a couple of sharpies so you can you know that's
actually autographed, because that's gonna be a really good time.
Like I'm I'm stowed for you that that is something
really to look forward to, and like people only buy
stuff like that and let you know because they care, you.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
Know, k that you are, like, that's the first time
I ever watching my team up up in person.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
You know, I never did watch professionally or the only
professionally game that I went was Clippers and Kings at
the Staples. But other than that, I never actually go
to a baseball game that I really want to go
watch and a football game that I really really want
to go watch. This year, we might plan on going
(32:28):
to see our game in so far I want. I
just want to experience so far in itself.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Well, you heard what Myron was talking about it. He said, yeah,
by his favorite out of all of them, the way
it's built.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Yeah, Myron got me pumped. Man. After that, I was like,
damn it, it's is possible.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
I'm coming out shooting today.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
Boys, but it is.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Man, make it happen. Go do your things. This was
a great episode. Thank you for taking the time. I
appreciate you. Brother Noel. You're the big on sports talk show.
If you enjoyed the show, share it, follow us on
the social media is check us out. We want to
hear from him too. Maybe you want to be on
the show someday. Hit us up. Love to have people on,
love to get outside perspectives. We've got lots coming on.
(33:09):
It's gonna be busy, busy summer as we come into uh,
you know, we're gonna be following your rams. We're gonna
be following my Broncos. Who I'm expecting to miss the
playoffs again, but we'll get into that as.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
We get playoffs.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Well, for what they passed up on Omarrion Hampton, how
do they not grab him when he's right there? And
they let him go to the Chargers. So we gotta
deal with We gotta deal with Jens, and we gotta
deal with Omaron Hampton twice a year.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
And he has to see a lot.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
We had a chance, we had a chance to do
something great. You could have got the best available player
short up a thousand yard back again, we could have
we could have been something taking some pressure off to
Sean Payton and bow Knicks, and we let him go
to the Chargers. Of all people who you know, in
the off season, they picked up Najee Harris too, so
they want to punch right there. Just and like Justin Herbert,
(34:04):
he falls apart in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
But he's pretty decent, so he has a good arm.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I know the Chiefs are going to be good. So
I'm like, Raiders got better.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
I don't think the Chiefs are going to be any good.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
You don't think so?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
What do you mean they're They're like the lowest scoring
team that ever went to the Super Bowl and the
only reason why it was just because of their defense
back doing a real, real good job with that defense,
I think.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
But the defense is what got exposed in the in
the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
I mean, yeah, but they couldn't move a lit on
the offensive side.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Yeah. No, I'm guessing what you're talking about going against
the best team arguably, Like we knew Philadelphia was going
to be good, we didn't expect Washington be that good.
But no, I mean, I don't know. I guess since
we were talking about it, I don't think the Chiefs
are going to have that much of a falloff. They
got to show me something. Travis kelce Maybe you know
(35:00):
it's gonna start falling off in pieces.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
But I don't think he I don't think he's the
same Travis kelcey were talking about like two three years ago.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Oh man, George rolling up and there in his wheelchair.
I think his game is declining.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
He said to himself, if you would to one that
were Super Bowl, he would have retired. Is it he
just he's just staying back just because, just.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
Because when they might be falling off, we get dead weight,
just somebody just trying to hang on. You know, they're
gonna give you something. Never how Groundkowski looked, it was
just hard watching him play down the stress because.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Hard man, those kept I'm knocking on him.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
I'm gonna chop your legs on the way in.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
No, I want to come back and play with Tom Breen.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
I think there's gonna be a different NFCU West chap
out there.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Gas all right, Well, who you saying it? I'm just
say I think put your name to it. Who's gonna win?
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Dever is looking good? Yeah, he said they wasn't gonna
playoff last year and they won.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Yeah, they and then what happened? They scored seven points
to Buffalo and got Molly wat forty one to seven
after that. Like so we're talking about, yeah, the defense
being good, okay.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
And it's only getting better with those two active missions
that you got from San Fran.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Yeah, if they're healthy. Tray Green Laws coming off his
kilees Funger has like concussion issues. He's always out with something.
So Lord, But my thing is if we're severely just
laying on the defense right here with quarterback guru Sean
Payton who's not my favorite, and Bo Nicks who just
can't stop vacating clean pockets, let's see, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
I think I think Bonick's gonna take that next step
a little a little better from what he was last year.
I think he's gonna take that what he experienced last year,
and I think he's gonna be a little bit better
going into this year.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Why are you bringing up all stuff Denver's nothing. Well,
let's hope so because we thought the same thing as
c J. Strou right and he kind of fell off.
Like just because you cool into your sophomore season does
not mean.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Like does that sophomore slump is real? That is that
a real thing?
Speaker 2 (37:12):
I think it's more common than players who really take
that next step because you think about how teams are formed.
You only get a high picked quarterback like that that
you're thrusting in to start early because your franchise was
in disarray. Now you think about how teams treat coaches, right,
several teams like your team and the Steelers, people that
(37:34):
have coaches that have been there a long time that
has serious tenureship, so much so that they may have
a coaching tree developing. But that's not always the case.
I think about a Raiders got a new coach, Pete
Carroll came out of the retirement of home and warmed
him up some grits and put some butter in it,
and now he's head coach of the Raiders. Try to
run the ball and then and then look, look, I mean,
(37:57):
I mean, I don't know. Look, we're in a situation
where it's anybody's game, but most likely not ours. That's
all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
You better get your stuff together, man, and we making
a playoff front. Bro.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Kay, I'm just being real. Based on what I saw,
there were some opportunities in the draft, I feel like,
all right, we'll see, because if you don't get to
pick the player, you gotta have to deal with the player.
And then I feel like we dropped the ball on
a couple of them, so we will see. You have
(38:28):
yourself a great night. Let me miss you have a
great day. Matt Yeah, man big on sports talk show.
Let's get a cheet who and get out of here.
Three two one s
Speaker 3 (39:54):
I just got my hand done two days ago.
