Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sling only the absolute best music from the eighties and beyond.
This is Missouri Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
All right, Welcome back to the Missouri Possum Radio on iHeartRadio,
Bill and Jim in the morning on this uh wow Wednesday,
and that was Fergy with my humps. It's hump day,
and welcome to the Piccadilly Palace Studios of Missouri Possum Radio.
And I'm proud to have mister t K on the

(00:27):
show with us this morning from Piccadilly.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
TK. How are you this morning?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I'm doing great, man, how are you?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I'm good. I'm good. Uh.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Excited to have you guys on board and excited to
uh let the community know all about Piccadilly because it's
more than just skating in fun at the Palace, man, Yes,
it's a it's a lot more.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
We have kind of added on to the whole complex.
So you know, now with the other two buildings going,
you know, we've actually just built a kind of an
entertainment destination there. Yes, and uh, you know, kind of

(01:10):
calling it the uh Piccadilly is what we're going to
be using going forward. So with the uh, with the
skating rink and the big arcade, and the Midi golf
that it was added about a year ago. And then
we added a second building with a bar and restaurant

(01:31):
and five golf simulators in it, and then a third
building with two indoor go karts uh go kart tracks,
an arcade, and a bar and restaurant and it as well.
So we've got a lot of things going on out there.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Man, this is an amazing facility. And I lost you
for just a second. What's what do we call the
whole complex now?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Piccadilly Social District, the Kadilly Social District, Man, that is
that's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I was telling uh the Ozark Hillbilly on the show
the other day that this is this is a complex
that you would see and and let's say Branson, uh,
you know, Saint Louis, uh, you know, a major city,
and we are so fortunate to have it now in Union, Missouri,
which is you know, a short drive from here.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
And what a great, great concept.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, you know, just something that we continue or continuing
continuing to look for new opportunities and concepts to give
to the community, not just Union, but of all the
areas and the counties around us. You know, we understand

(02:48):
and and get you know, with I have two young kids,
and traveling to Saint Louis all the time to do
this stuff sometimes just isn't worth it, you know. And
be able to have a destination spot like this right
here in Franklin County is awesome. And to give our
residents something like that to do and and something close

(03:10):
to do is you know, we're really excited about being
able to create that opportunity.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah, because it's a short drive for for anyone around here,
you know, the population, uh, even for those that are
in Saint Louis County, Franklin County, Crawford County, Washington County, Gasconade.
It's a short drive to Union oh yeah yeah. And
you're not fighting the as the crazy traffic in the

(03:36):
in the major cities. And this is something that uh
first office for all ages, I mean from adults to
kids and uh and the adults who are kids at heart,
you know, and you always hear that there's gotta be
facilities and things, something for kids to do, you know,

(03:56):
something for families to do, but also something that hey,
if it's a night that the guys want to go
out and and hit the golf simulators and and have
dinner and some drinks. They can do that too, I
mean it's all there.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah, that's exactly right. And one of the reasons why
we decided to call it the you ticke it itly
Social District is to kind of get the the concept
across that, you know, this is there's something to do
for everyone, you know, and uh, for kids, for adults.
It's not just for entertainment. It's not just skating, it's

(04:31):
not just arcades or go carts, but it's also a
place to eat and to hang out with friends and
have a few drinks after work and all that. So
we you know, we've put a lot of work into
the restaurant and the bars and the menus there, so

(04:53):
we really want it to be you know, the focus
around food and and gathering and getting together and just
having a good time all across the board. And what's
neat about the concept is, you know, if the kids
want to go skating, right next door is the par
one restaurant with the golf simulators and the real nice restaurant,

(05:17):
and parents can go and sit right there and enjoy
themselves whether their kids are skating or doing the arcades
and stuff. You know, stuff like that. So it's just
a great concept. I'm excited to be part of it,
and I'm excited to see you know who all comes
out and enjoys it.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yes, and I just it's just amazing the whole concept
and what you guys have been able to do there
and the future and with the college there also, that's
got to be a shot in the arm too, because
I'm sure the college students like to get together and
be able to do some things.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
And man, it's all right there.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
How t K And I don't mean to put you
on a spot, but how how did the name come
about Piccadilly?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
You know, Scott, our owner and his brother Greg, who's
also the owner as well, came up with that when
they first bought the skating rink, and uh, they just
have have ran with it. And when they first bought
the rank, they they didn't really have I don't think
the right immediately had the idea to view this whole complex.

(06:31):
And then it just kind of kept building and building,
and as they kept building, they kept adding the Piccadilly
name to it. And uh, it's been, uh, it's been
it's been growing and catching on and and people really
like the name.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
So it's been good. Yeah, I think it's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
And and it just uh it's catchy and and and
people see it and it's not it's not a name
that you hear, you know, uh frequently, so we you
do hear it, it sticks with you. And and then
and then you catch yourself saying Piccadilly all the time,
and like we do here on the studio.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Are you still there? Hey, t K.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I think ye, Sorry about that, Jim, I'm still here.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Okay, okay, this is live radio. Sometimes this happens, folks,
trust me, you know, it even happens on the big shows.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
So, so tell us when is the business open? What
do you guys have a group packages, birthday packages those
type of things.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Oh yeah, so you know, basically the Piccadilly par One
with the golf simulators Piccadilly, Uh, cart racing are open
right now every day at five o'clock. Well, I'm sorry,
I take that back. Par One opens every day at
ten am, and then the cart racing opens every day

(07:55):
at five o'clock through the week, and then the skating
room through the week is open Tuesdays and Thursday nights,
and then of course, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, all three
facilities are open all day long, So we do we
have birthday packages for all three buildings for adults and kids.

(08:18):
We have the daily passes that families can come in
and if they want to do all three facilities, they
can do all three facilities at a really great price.
If they want to just do a couple of attractions,
we give discounts on those additional attractions that you add.

(08:43):
So really trying to make it to where it's affordable
for the families and they can come out and spend
the whole day doing the activities as well. So and
then we are really getting focused on corporate events, corporate tea,
team buildings. You know, we have tons of adult parties

(09:06):
if it's birthday parties or you know, team parties, whatever
it might be. The adult and corporate parties are growing
as well. So basically we have a package for everyone,
and a lot of times we customize the package depending
on what you're what you're looking to do, and what

(09:26):
your events for and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, I mean I could see this thing being everything
from even a church group outing to to a bachelor
party to uh, you know, a buddies reunion, gathering those
type of things, right to kids birthdays and so much more,
man and all in one, one social district complex. It's

(09:50):
a destination facility to me right here locally that that
people I think are going to get out and support
and enjoy.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
And I'm sure the support has been good so far.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, it's been great. Everybody's been really excited about it.
And you know, we've we had a lot of hype
with the golf stimulators and the go kart buildings getting open,
and we've done a quite a few little soft openings
at first back in like December January. Those went very

(10:21):
very well, and then we kind of started continuing to
do some soft openings through about the last week or so,
and now we're ready to really take off. And the
excitement and the the response has been incredible, and so

(10:42):
we're expecting a lot of great things. The community is
excited about it, and the support it so far has
been been incredible.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
And you don't have to worry about the weather affecting you,
that's right, I mean realistically, I mean it can be
pouring down rain outside and you can go in and
have the time of your life.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You know, yeah, the the go karts are inside. You know,
if you're a golfer, and man, if last week and
with all that rain, if you wanted to get some
golf in, you can come right down in and play
golf with us. So no matter what the weather is,
we you know, it's a it's a great spot for you.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
So well, Tiki, I tell you what.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
We are excited to have you guys on board with us,
and and man, it fits us so well to be
able to, uh, to have the Piccadilly studios here at
Missouri Possum Radio, and we've got some commercials and things
that are going to start running on this. We've got
some social media posts, some website ads, some ads going

(11:45):
in print, and then we're you know, I'm gonna get
down there and and hopefully some of the crew will
will pop along with me, and uh, I'd love to
come down and shoot some videos of of some of
the things that we're doing, just kind of goofing around
so people can kind of get a video view of this.
Now if people want to find out more besides all
the things that we're doing to help promote the facility,

(12:07):
how how do they how do they get in contact
with you. Websites, social media, those type of things.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Sure, So all three buildings have their own websites, so
the best and they all enter interlink. But the best
thing is to google, you know, Piccadilly Palace or Piccadilly
par One or Piccadilly cart Racing. That'll take you to
uh the websites. And then all three have socials, Facebook, Instagram.

(12:34):
We're even on TikTok, so you can find us, you know,
searching all three names.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Now, are you doing the TikTok videos yourself? Yes? We are? Yeah,
we uh no, I mean you you are?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
You?

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Are you doing the tiktoks?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Man?

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Are you all know?

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Well, they tried to recruit me a couple of times
in some of the videos, so you might see me
making some cameos here there.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I'm not a regular. No.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
One other thing why I'm thinking about it now, is
there is and this may be something that is there.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Any leagues involved?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Do you guys have any of that with the with
the par one or with the cart racing? Is there
any any league stuff with that? Or am I shitting
way off the board?

Speaker 3 (13:19):
No?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
No, No, that's great I'm glad you brought that up.
We are doing leagues the the at par one we
can definitely, We're gonna definitely have some leagues. We're gonna
have men's leagues, ladies leagues, co ed leagues. In fact,
we're already getting some great sponsors on board that want
to help sponsor the the leagues, and we're also gonna

(13:42):
do tournaments as well with the golf simulators, and then yeah,
we're gonna have leagues and tournaments at the cart great
with the go karts as well. In fact, we had
one last week, I believe on a Monday night, and uh,
it went great. It was our first one. All the
racers had a great time. It was a great opportunity

(14:03):
for us to knock that out and see, you know,
kind of build something for the future. And we got
some great recommendations from those racers on how to do
the tournaments in the future. So they uh, it's it's
it's pretty neat. You wouldn't think of it, but there's
actually a following and a big group of people in
the area that race these go karts on a regular basis,

(14:28):
and uh, from you know, from our area into Saint
Louis and so I think these leagues are something that's
gonna really take off for us.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
That's fantastic. And now those are Kability just strolled in
here to the studios and he he wanted to know,
do you have to have reservations to.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Abilities?

Speaker 1 (14:49):
No, you don't have to have reservations. It is recommended
as far as the book of Bay Golf Bay, or
to do the go karts. You know we the go karts.
We have races every ten minutes, but you know it's
Friday and Saturday nights especially get pretty busy, so it'd
be yeah, if you have a big group coming out,

(15:12):
recommend kind of making the reservations and uh booking your spot.
But it's not necessary. So if you go to both websites,
the Piccadilly par One website, you can book online now
and and you'll be fine. The big Piccadilly cart Racing
we have not went live on the on the online

(15:35):
booking there yet, but we should be in about a
week or two.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Beautiful, beautiful.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
One more thing I wanted to so the restaurant, what
what what?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
What's on the menu there? People will want to tell
that too, I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah, yeah, picketed par one you know, has just about
everything from great advertisers, great great wings. Really felt like
there's not a place in you know, at least in
the Union. They are close to us. That was really
focusing on on chicken wings. So we've really put a

(16:07):
lot of effort and uh all that into building building
some great wings. We have wraps, burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes.
We have steak fish so you can come in there
and grab something quick, or you can come in there
and have a great sit down meal with a steak
or fish, pasta and stuff like that and really have

(16:30):
a have a great meal there. And then the restaurant
in the cart building is barbecue, so we have you know, barbecue, brisket, chicken.
So we have platters, sandwiches, all that good stuff.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Wow wow wow wow. Ye got it.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
So nothing goes you know, you got to have barbecue
and racing, right, they try to go into the hands.
So yeah, that's what we did.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
How fast do your go carts go? Are they governed?
Are they they'll learn hard?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:02):
So are we talking here? Man?

Speaker 1 (17:05):
With the track the go karts go about twenty eight
to thirty miles per hour for adults.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
And uh yeah, so it's a it's a off the
ground that's moving.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Yeah, yeah, it's uh, you know, basically when a guest
comes in, they get registered to go in, watch a
brief and video and and basically how the race.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Goes, come out. They gotta wear a helmet and go
out there and and have some fun.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
So now, now Jim and I are big guys. Are
the cars built for big guys also?

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah, so it's really cool. We got adult cars that
will yeah, you know, basically you two will fit, no problem.
And uh, and then we have junior cards as well,
and then those.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Those will be for dj Y Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Yeah, the junior cards go a little bit slower. Those
are for kids. You know, basically I would say ten
and ten to about fifteen years old. And then uh,
we have double carts in there as well, so for
parents that want to right around with their kids, we

(18:15):
have that. And then the second track is the kittie track,
if you will, and uh those are that's also a
multi level track, and that's for the kids' ages, you know,
five to nine somewhere around there.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Wow, what an same sing social district there, man, pick
a billy.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
You gotta get down there, folks. Well t K.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
We appreciate you coming on with us this morning and
appreciate your support, and we can't wait to get down
there and and visit u everything you guys got to offer.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Oh yeah, yeah, man, yeah, definitely come out and check
it out. I would love to have you too.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
And well we gotta get Jim hooked on golf.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Yeah, so the simulator has definitely got to happen here.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
And then I mean we got a go.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Cart and and want to get co carton.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
I mean, yeah, you.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Guys will have to raise each other and you know
it's all about bragging right for radio.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Yes it is, yay, I I mean to put him
in the wall.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
It just happens, sir.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Right, Well, a right day, brother, and we will be
in touch and we'll have this, uh, this interview available
for people after the show today. It'll be available on
the Bill and Jim in the Morning podcast and you'll
be able to get that anywhere you get your podcast.
You'll be able to listen to this and find out
more about Piccadilly. If you have a friend or somebody

(19:34):
who missed the interview this morning and didn't get to
listen to it, you'll be able to find it everywhere
from my heart apple to you name it, it'll be
there or just ask.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Yeah, so I appreciate it. Guys, Thank you, thank you
for the support, and we're excited to be part of
Possum Radio and the Sullivan community. So yeah, looking forward
to working with you guys some more and definitely come
on out and race and take part of go karts
and golfing and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
We'll do tk you guys, take care, Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
