(01:36):
what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Fifteen and nine?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
We have arrived, But before we get into all of that,
what's going on in the world of Bruce Shushu Carrington?
Because there's always something going on. I see a little
bit of Ring Ambassador contract going. I see a little
Aaron the Plumber skit, like, what's going what's going on
in the world of Bruce Carrington?

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Up to me man, just as you said, a little
bit of everything.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
You know, we're definitely making noise and making moves. Like
you mentioned with the Ring Ambassador. It was a great,
great connection that we've made. I'm gonna be able to, uh,
you know, get paid just by being able to have
the Ring on my shouts and putting a little posts
up on my page and whatnot. You know, that's that's

(02:24):
that's an easy way to get paid, baby. But other
aside from that, it's just a great It's a great,
you know, opportunity for me to continue to be shown
on such a big platform. And I and I'm really
happy that I'm being noticed in that way. And uh,
you know, it's very humbling and uh, you know, like
you said with the Aaron Diplumber man the kids. You know,
I always have like a way with how can I say,

(02:47):
just making little videos, a little funny videos. Everything is
not just boxing with me, you know what I'm saying, Like,
I try to make a little skits here and there,
just entertaining a different type of demographic of of uh
of an audience. So I'm really happy to be able
to you know, reach certain like celebs or like you know,
Internet celebs like Aaron Plummer and other people, to be
able to, you know, step out of just the boxing

(03:09):
world because I'm more than just a boxing man. I
see myself doing other things outside of the boxing when
it comes to you know, acting, you know, just the
whole simon, cinematography, modeling or whatever, being in commercials, maybe
even be on you the next meeting's box you never know, man.
But yeah, yeah, I definitely want to continue to step
out of the boxing world and become a bigger start.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah, And you know, I was gonna go into that
my next question because you were talking about your first
movie role, which is the Willie Pep biopic The Featherweight,
which is on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. What was
that like that that whole experience and did you learn
anything new about Pep being involved in that project?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
You know, To be honest, I'm being honest, I didn't
really know too much about Willie Pep going in to
be at all. I knew what his name, but I
didn't know like he was basically the best featherweight champion
of all time, you know, and all the fights that
he's had, and you know, and then on top of that,

(04:12):
just him wanting to come back and that I had
no idea about his story. So it was very entertaining
to be able to be a part of it, and
then to mingle with the co stars like uh, James
Mattio with the uh uh problem, he's so great, Stephen Lang.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
As the coach bro.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I'm sitting there, I didn't even know that me going
into this, Like, first off, I didn't do no this
or something like that. I was just you know, kind
of a mutual friend. He got me the opportunity. But
I did have no idea that Stephen Lang was a
part of this. Like I used to watch him and
don't breathe. That movie is so dope. Me and my
fiancee love watching that movie. So then when I see

(04:52):
him on set and I'm just like, you babe speak
he used to all friend of the Lady on the
and whatnot with me, Like it was kind of crazy.
It's just a real moment at the same time as
like it's my opportunity to show myself and to show
others like this, like I can do this, you know.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
What I mean.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
And so it was really exciting to be able to,
you know, rehearse and you know, do a little the
fight choreography, to be able to you know, for the
shot to look the way it was. It's so interesting how,
you know, things look like like you would think that
we're it looks like we're so close to me and
hitting each other and like it wants false move and

(05:31):
you know you can actually hit the actor, but really
we're kind of like far away.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
It's just the camera.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Angles licks a sad way, but bro very very entertaining
and it really opened my eyes and opening it up
to really want to continue to jump and do movies
as well.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt. All right, listen July twenty sixth,
you got Matteashita for the WBC inter Room for the
Waight title. But before that, it's a little bit of
a bittersweet because that's your first big fight at the Garden,
But then it's the last show on ESPN, right, So
kind of a little bit of bittersuite in that, you know,

(06:10):
what do you what do you think about all of that?
When when I say that.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
And it's you know, it's a little unfortunate. I wish that,
you know, we could could just continue to have that partnership.
I mean, we don't know what the fret with the
future holds, but but yeah, as of right now, you know,
it just you know, it just looks like, you know,
we might be parting ways. But it's like ESPN and
top Rink has parted it up and put on such

(06:34):
great performances, such great fights, such just such great showcases,
and I'm just so happy to at least be a
part of it, at least be able to you know,
do what I do and then have millions of people
able to be to watch me all over the world.
Like I was on Sports in the top ten, you know,
twice for a couple of knockouts and whatnot, and I
don't think I would have been able to do that

(06:55):
if it wasn't an ESPN and top rank. It is
very bittersweet, and you know, I feel like type knew
what they were doing put me in the last you
know car you know, ended up with a bang man.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah. Man, let's talk about the the situation right the
the interim tide of fight. I kind of want to
know what your true feelings are about not getting one
of the other champions, because everybody kind of like decided
to move their own way. After the almost seemed like
all signs were pointing towards you getting your shot at

(07:28):
one of them, they just decided, uh to go elsewhere.
What are your real thoughts about that?

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Man? I genuvenely just believe that they don't want to
risk losing their title, you know, and if they do
risk losing their title, it'd probably just be with another
with another champion, you know, business wise, you know, I
guess you know, it seems it seems like, you know,
a smart idea, a smart move. I get it, but

(07:55):
I could hear less you kind of did there. They're
they're they're just in a way of what I'm trying
to do and what I'm trying to accomplish, and that's being,
you know, the one of the best featherweight world champions
of all time. I feel like there has never been
an undisputed featherweight world champion and a lot of these
guys and that's because a lot of these guys don't
don't want to.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Unify, you know, they you know, I feel.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
They're just it's trying to be very careful and continue
to do the high reward but low risk type of approach.
I don't respect that, you know what I mean? You
call yourself a champion, bro stand on that, you know,
and uh me, I see myself as an old school
fighter and that's the type of dude that I am. Like,
I see myself as a four Kings era type of mentality,

(08:41):
and I'm just going to continue to just expose the
game when the time comes.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
All right, and then listen, your opponent, Hada is making
his US debut.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
He goes by the beast.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
What do you know about him? And how do you
plan on welcoming and men to the US all fight night.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Oh man, man, I definitely, you know, I definitely plan
on sending him back on his back his way home
empty handed. You know, I don't really like to predict knockouts,
but he's definitely gonna get it thrashing for sure. You know,
I don't know if it's gonna be the whole twelve rounds,
if he can stay up to it, but it's gonna

(09:21):
be a thrashing for sure. I'm gonna pick him apart.
And I just feel like I am just a superior
boxer all the way through.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
All right, And then listen lastly, July twenty sixth, when
when you get your team to hand out shoe York
hand towels in front of the garden so they could
be waving them in the guard. Look, I'm giving you
the idea right here, right right, yeah, right, What are
they gonna say after watching your fight and they you know,

(09:50):
they're in the moment they're they're waving their towels. What
are they gonna say after the fight after seeing your fight?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Shoot that world title shot, like he deserves that world
title shot. And if y'all don't give it to him,
y'all dunking simple as that he's doing everything he needs
to do. He's beating and he's beating these guys down
the way, he's beating him down. He's showing y'all he
deserves it, he wants it. He's been asking for a
day there, you know, begging, you know what I'm saying.
But now I'm going to force the issue. And I

(10:16):
feel like this fight, being for the BBC interrom is
putting me in a position to apply that pressure on
these champions for me to be able to get my shot.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
All right, well, listen, shut, I appreciate your time with you.
The best of luck. Uh and and let's see what
the future holds for you.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
