Bachmeyer a little bit yesterday with our good friend Jackson Payne.
Make sure you check out that entire interview on the

(04:20):
different media things come in your way in just a

Camp Kyle. But we are only and when I say only,
we are very close to some football hitting your television.
Sixteen days away for both BYU and Utah. But a
week from Saturday you're gonna see Kansas State and Iowa

(04:43):
State live from Dublin, Ireland. We're almost one week away.
This is your last free weekend until February. Jordan, bi
and Ucci, Geez.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
I might watch that game just so I can watch.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Some football so I feel something again.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah, so I don't have to speculate on things that
I haven't seen. How about the Utah offense. I don't know.
I haven't seen it. We're gonna find out. Uh yeah,
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Lord.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
So my question, I'm going to put this out on
Twitter at Larson Sports La r Son Sports. My question is,
what are you going to do with your last free
weekend until February? But that no football on this weekend?
What are you going to do with your last free weekend?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
I'm watching Pottery's Dodgers after that game last night, Well
there could be. This is the one of the most
anticipated regular season series in a long time because not
only did the Padres come way back and taking the
lead in the division, there were multiple bench clearing, you know,

(05:52):
semi brawls in the last series they played. So for
all those different reasons, this is a fascin series. I'll
be locked in on Padre Dodgers this weekend. I mean,
it just has the makings of it's going to be unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
I would agree with you.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Friday Saturday Sunday series for Padres Dodgers in Los Angeles,
that one is going to be very good in terms
of baseball this weekend one of the most anticipated matchups
and I'm wondering if Manny Machado's going to follow through
with some of those threats that he made the last
time these two teams met up.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
There's a lot of dudes getting plunked.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Tatisa was one of them, got hit on the hand,
and Machado tweeted out, the Dodgers better hope it comes
back negative. And it did come back negative. So maybe
there won't be anything that happens here.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Well, it would nothing if anything happens. It's so stupid
because every pitch is matters so much, like you can't
afford to put a guy on base. But who knows
something will happen. It always happens with these two teams
in the last like five years. So I'm all in
on that one. I mean, we'll into it later on

(07:01):
in the show. But the Dodgers have Man, they've been
bad in the second half and they got to turn
it on quick. I mean, the last thing the Dodgers
want is to lose that division and then be forced
into a three game series in the wildcard round with
that payroll, with that offseason, it comes down to three

(07:23):
games against you know, a hot wild card team. So
I'm I think, but man, both those teams want to
win that division badly.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
All Right, your last free weekend till February. What are
you going to do with it? Let us know on
Twitter at Larsen Sports, l RSO and Sports. You can
also find it at ESPN the Fan on the X platform.
Jordan b Ucci, Octoberfest has started up at Snowbird.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I might meet the wife and I we might swing up.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
There gets a little cold here in the state of Utah,
so we got to start our Octoberfest in the first
week of August.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Why is.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
It's okay?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
You could do it in September?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
They don't want Yeah, you could do it in September,
but I think, uh, it's just gotten so popular that
so many people go. They want to elongate it out
so there's not as big of crowds.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
I would do it. Get out of the heat, get
out of the valley. Yeah, that sounds fun.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
I would. I would. I would head up.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
The first weekend was last weekend. This will be the
second weekend of it. You think it'll be really busy
or do you think not? As many people will catch
on at this point it'll be busy. I think it's
always busy.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Do they have the do they have like the the
I don't even know what they call the beer girls
that bring out the They they're you know what I'm
talking about in Germany where they have the platters and
they're holding like two dozen giant stins of beer.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I've not seen any of that. Oh, you got to
look at these videos. I've seen.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I know what you're talking about, but I haven't seen
that at Snowbird. Oh yeah, that's impressive enough Germans. Yeah,
look up those videos. That's what they're doing. That's impressive.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
But they do.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Apparently those tables that are at snow Bird are from Munich, Germany. Really, Yeah,
they flew them in so that they could have the
correct tables for Octoberfest.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
What are they like, They're literally just wooden tables.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
I went up to was it Snowbird? No, I went
up to sun Dance and saw the sound of music
and the outdoor amphitheater up there. That was pretty cool.
I don't know why that reminded me of that, but Germany,
that's why not. Sorry world War two, not to bring
it down, that's what, but it was. No. Look, my

(09:37):
point is going up to the mountains in the summertime,
it's a nice getaway.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Yes, it is a nice getaway, makes it a little
bit cooler. But although you know, it hasn't really been
that hot of a summer this year, has it.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
That's a good question. No, not, It's not as.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Bad, not super terrible.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
I'm living somewhere now where I have air conditioning, which
is nice.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
That is nice. That does help out a little bit. Yeah,
so let us know what you're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Your one free weekend, your last free weekend until week
zero happens a week from Saturday, and you will be
entrenched in college football and then the NFL in a
couple of weeks as well.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
What else?

Speaker 4 (10:16):
What else do we have during week zero besides the
Ireland game.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
I'm gonna be honest with you, there's not a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
There's not a lot, So that weekend is semi free. Still, um, yeah,
it's semi free. You might have a couple of hours,
but there I believe there's maybe one other game.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Let me pull it up real quick, pull up the schedule.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
This is your Octoberfest music.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
By the way, there we go.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie to you. There's not a
lot going on. So you got number twenty two Iowa
State taken on Kansas State. That's your Dublin Ireland game.
That's ten am on ESPN. If you're a real sickoh,
if you're a real freak like me, Fresno State and
Kansas four thirty pm on Fox.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Could be good, could be interesting.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
I just would be October. You want to go October
Fest two weekends in a row.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
How about this one?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
This one's actually gonna be a good game, Okay. Stanford
at Hawaii five thirty pm on CBS.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
That's weeks okay, So would you like.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
To know the spread on that one? I'll guess the
guess the spread. Stanford at Hawaii on the road at
Hawaii five thirty pm, CBS, Week zero.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Oh man, that's a tough one. I'm gonna go. I
don't know how good Hawaii's supposed to be. I know
they have new uniform zone. I'm gonna damn Okay, I'll go.
I'm gonna go. Hawaii minus three at.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Home, Hawaii minus two at home?

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yeah, really we are so back?

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Oh that I'm I'm in.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Look, if you're a BYU fan, you're probably watching that
game to see what Stanford looks like.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
I'll watch that game what time? What time?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
You got?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Five five thirty CBS.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
I was hoping for like a classic eleven o'clock PM
start Hawaii.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
I would have loved that.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Okay, I'll get I can I do that? Yeah? I
want to see Stanford, like I said yesterday, is supposed
to be maybe the worst team in the Power Forward.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Yeah, so Hawaii is gonna give them a good round here.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
So I'm guessing Stanford then goes to Hawaii, then they
get a five wig, and then they come to Provom.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
That would be correct if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Okay, and I don't even need like normally like Hawaii Stanford,
I'd be like I need two October fests of beer
to really get into that one.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I could at this point, you know, you might be
able to multitask because they've got TV's up there.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Oh do they really? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Okay, that would be going to some of those tents.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
They got TV's up there. They might have the game
on if you ask nicely.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Honestly, that would be pretty fun.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
I could go for that.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
There you go, Stanford at Hawaii. UH Thursday August to
twenty eighth. There is a whole slate of games Boise
State will be at South Florida. You want to know
the kick off time for that one? I love this
on a stay at South Florida on a Thursday, Thursday,
the August the twenty eighth, three thirty pm Mountain time.
We're getting things started on ESPN with Boise State at

(13:12):
South Florida.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
I'm sure that'll be filled up in South Florida rush
hour on a Friday night. Absolutely, that's gonna be a
pack stadium.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
There we go.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
I'm trying to choose. Ah, sorry, go ahead. What else
you got on Thursday?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Nebraska and Cincinnati is a seven pm kickoff?

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Other than that, it's a lot of not a lot
of Delaware State at Delaware.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
You're gonna have to watch that one on ESPN plus.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
You just gave me. We have a ton of stuff
on Thursday night.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Well, there's there's a lot of like just random games,
not great games by any mean.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Like Buffalo at Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
But there's probably fifteen games on okay, but a lot
of them are on the ESPN plus.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Central Arkansas at Missouri is on the SEC.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
Networth Central Arc.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Jeez, Miami of A, Ohio at Wisconsin is on the
Big Ten Network. All right, stony Brook at San Diego
State does that interesting?

Speaker 4 (14:09):
I didn't know Stony Brook at a football team.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
I did not know they had a football team.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Friday, you'll get Georgia Tech at Colorado on ESPN six pm.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Geez, you know what you know? It's bad when you're
like Georgia Tech Colorado.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Okay, look, Georgia Tech could be a very sneaky good
team in the a CEC. Don't sleep on Georgia Tech
this year. They could challenge for the a SEC title.
They bring back their quarterback and Haines King, he's good. Okay,
remember they do? You remember that Georgia Georgia Tech game
last year where they went to like nine overtimes?

Speaker 5 (14:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
What's his name? The played by play guy kept reminding
us how important that was.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Yeah, that was good times.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
That's a Georgia Tech team that returns a lot of
its starters from that squad a year ago, and I
had some good transfer port of players. Okay, watch out
for Brent Key and his squad at Georgia Tech. They're
gonna be on the road at Colorado Friday night.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
I'll tell you what you named games, and I'll tell
you how many beers I need to watch it in me.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
UNLV at sam Houston.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Oh, man, geez, you're starting.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
What do I want alcohol poisoning? Unlv Idaho?

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Wait wait, UNLV at sam Houston.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
At Sam Houston, probably like three or probably four.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I'll go four beers, even if you have our friend
Carlos Zimmerman on radio.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Carlos is on. I don't need I don't need anything.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Okay, Oh you know what that Friday night, You've got
Auburn at Baylor on Fox.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Crazy that I skipped over that one.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Okay, I don't need I can be so called sober
really for the start of.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
That that's in Waco. That would be a fun one
to kind of to be at. Baylor's going to be
a good football team this year.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
You want to guess the spread.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
On that on Auburn at Baylor. I don't know how
good at Auburn's most you we have the top of
my head.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
I bet you this.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
There's I bet you they'll underachieve. I'm gonna go Baylor.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
I'll go Baylor minus four and.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
A half at home.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
All right. Auburn is on the road at Baylor six pm.
Kickoff on Fox. It is Auburn minus two.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Seriously, Ye wow, I find that a little surprising. I
thought Baylor get more respect at home.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
That's a that's a big game, Number one. How about
Kennesa State at Wake Forest that Friday night on the
ACC network.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
There's not enough fear in the world. That's how many
Not enough fear in the world for me to get
behind that one.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Maybe the Owls will pull off the upset.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Look, I think that would be great. Now the Saturday,
the big one we got this is August thirty. This
is see this is the we got Utah BYU Saturday,
August thirtieth, But obviously Texas Ohio State. Did you see,
by the way state, speaking of spreads, did you see
the historical note in regard to this one?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
All I know is that this is the first time
in number one has been on the road at the
defending national champions and been a dog.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Is that what you were going to say?

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Exactly minus two and a half in favor of Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, isn't that crazy? That's pretty crazy? Although you know
Ohio State, I think they returned my fourteen starters from
last last year's squad nine on offense, five on defense.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
That'd be good.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Texas. They've got arch Manning, the debut of one arch Manning.
If he can go on the road and beat Ohio
State on the road, that's huge to start off the season.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Has Ohio State even named a starting quarterback yet?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I don't know, actually, but they won't have the same
starting quarterback and Will Howard that they dated season ago.
So that's going to be another big piece to the puzzle.
You've got the Chick fil A Kickoff. If you remember
our friend the CEO that we had Chick fil A
Bowl on a program at Big twelve eighty days. Chick
fil A Kickoff is Tennessee and Syracuse, all right, although

(17:57):
Tennessee's fourteen and a half point favorite. Syracuse, I need.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
A few few extra large steins. Or Tennessee, you couldn't.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
You couldn't give us a better matchup?

Speaker 5 (18:07):
No kidding?

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Get him on the line, like what happened? You lose
everybody's phone number? Syrahcuse Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Jake Retzlof could be starting at the quarterback position for
Tulane when they take on Northwestern at home ten am
that Saturday on ESPNU.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
That could be interesting. If he's playing, I'd watch it.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
And you know who you want to guess the line
for that one's Tulane hosts Northwestern.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
I'll go Tulane minus geez, I don't know. Tulane minus
three and a half at home.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Tulane minus six and a half, wow at home over Northwestern.
That's a hot ticket to get though, Jordan, It's going
to cost you eight bucks to get in the door.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
I can tell there's a direct correlation between where these
games are played and the other entertainment options in that
area because New Orleans. Yeah, there's some other stuff.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
That you could do a few few things you could
do on a Saturday morning at ten am. I guess
Ducine takes on Pittsburgh. How many is it gonna take
for you to watch that one? ACC Network ten am
Little Pittsburgh Special? Probably probably five, probably like five years.
All right, I'll save you some of these other ones.
There's some pretty bad matches.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
I'll tell you what I'm locked in on. Nevada Penn State.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, my wolf Pack.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Good, it was LSU and Clemson do play that Saturday
five thirty pm on a ABC. Okay, those two teams,
it always seems like they start off with great games
in Week one some of the only teams in all
of college football that really love to do that.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Yeah, college football, that's I mean, like you've said, like
this is such a missed opportunity for college fo it
is Labor Day weekend.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
You got to have better matchups.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
It's I'm just brutal cal Oregon State, all.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Right, But the problem is it starts thirty minutes before
Utah and UCLA.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I know I'm gonna need the split box on that one.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
And Colorado Wash Colorado State Washington at nine o'clock.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Yeah, Washington's a nineteen and a half point favorite in
that game.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Oh yeah, what's our Sunday You will have to college
football games? Virginia Tech, South Carolina could be okay. South
Carolina's eight point favorites. Lenora's seller is going to be
a good quarterback. Notre Dame in Miami five point thirty
pm on ABC Sunday Night.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
That'll be good.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Notre Dame's are two and a half point favorite there.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
And then Bill Belichick's debut on Monday six pm on
ESPN TCU in North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
It'll be interesting to see the television ratings for that.
How many people are actually.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Interested in Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Yeah, although that's labor days never mind. Like, I don't
know how many people are actually going to be tuned in. Man,
all right, well we you kind of bummed me out.
I'll be honest with you. Like we came into this
segment going just two well one week until we have
some college football. Now I'm looking at like three weeks
until there are multiple games that I want to actually watch.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
There will be enough enough games on at one point
for me to fill up my entire Saturday.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Like I will watch Sam Houston, Not Sam Houston.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
I'll watch Presno State at Kansas, Okay on Saturday, August
the twenty three.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
That's something I will do. Stanford Hawaii, I'll watch that.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yeah, I'll watch it. I'll tell you what, don't fast
forward to week two. Week two is worse.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
I know. Week two there's such a lull.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
I mean, there's nothing you do have Oklahoma State at
Oregon and by the way, that's a CBS one thirty
game to let you know how brutal.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
The rest of US late is San Jose, State of Texas.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Oh, yeah, No, Baylor, SMU Okay, Iowa, Iowa State.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
That's it. That's what we got.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Baylor SMU is gonna be good CW network, though I'm
not feeling.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
It sure out on the CW.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
C W, why are we putting Baylor in SMU on
the c W, I don't know. You toss State at
Texas A and m O shock the world baby. You
see you do have an SEC matchup week two, Ole
Miss at Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
That could be good.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
Well yeah, okay to to Well, I don't know how
good Old Miss should take care of Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Yeah, I mean Kentucky's going to be back.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
I just man, college football, fellas, you have like two weeks,
three weeks where you don't where people aren't locked in
on the NFL and you have like you're it's just
I mean, like obviously you have other stuff, we have
baseball and stuff, but with just football period, like this
is it even NFL fans who do because there are

(22:44):
a lot of NFL fans that don't.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Care about college football.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Yeah, they'll tune in because they're like, Okay, I'm getting
ready for football and you you're you have like four
games that are appetizing here.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
It's just.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
A point be as COMMISSI in her and I will
solve a lot of problems.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Stanford to BYU that eight fifteen kickoff on ESPN, and
BYU very well could roll Stanford in that week.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
I hope our friend Dave Fleming calls that Stanford guy.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
He's gotta be on that one, right, Yeah, you would
think unless they don't want him to be because it's
a Stanford game.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Well, I don't even know if it's that. They may
just be like, you know what, this game is not good.
We're gonna put you.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
On each other one.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
If we're gonna put you on we were State at
Arizona exactly.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
You get the ESPN Plus game.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Listen, do you think Weaver State can give Arizona a
run for their money?

Speaker 3 (23:35):
I'd keep it close.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Is Wever State supposed to be because if we Were
State supposed to be any good this yerea then absolutely?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I wish I knew more.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I don't need I need to apply. Maybe it's too late.
Is it too late to get a season credential to
Weaver State football?

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Probably not know him. Yeah, you probably hit him out.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
I's got to go up.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
There San Diego State at Washington State.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Could you get Okay, did you see by the way
that Wazoo and Oregon State are playing each other twice
this year.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yes, yet home and home at home and home action.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
I thought that was interesting. I thought that was kind
of fun. Everyone I've talked to is like that sucks,
Like I don't want to play a team twice, Like, sheeez,
my only guy that likes the NFL?

Speaker 5 (24:12):
What I like?

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Do you like when you're watching the Falcons? You like
playing some Division upon like I as a Niner fan,
I'm like, I like playing the Seahawks twice.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
It's fun.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Yeah, I guess I mean the NFC South so bad. Yeah,
it's kind of just like you walk right through it.
Anytime the Falcons and the Bucks get together, it's fun.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
But if you were the as a I didn't like
seeing Drew Brees twice?

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
As a Utah or BAU fan, would you like to
see any teams twice?

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Like?

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Would that be just entertainment wise? Or you like, nah,
I'm good.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Let's let's spread it out across doll of college football. Sure,
anytime by you place Notre Dame, that's always fun if
it's not a conference game. Rackon, but you said you
said anyone across to any I meant, I literally just
asked you, sorry, I meant anyone from across college football,

(25:04):
and you said, yes.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Yeah, I thought you met anybody in conference across college football.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Well, if I meant anybody in conference, I would have
asked that anybody in the conference.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Yeah, maybe Arizona State, if you're white, no, I would
like no.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Generally speaking, Yeah, one game is fine against each PONNENT,
but geez I didn't rise. It was so overwhelmingly unpopular. Yeah,
you playing somebody twice?

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Yeah, nah, not in conference.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
If you could get an out of conference matchup, and
maybe like a it would have to be.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
A bigger state returns to Texas later this year to.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Take on Yeah, or if BYU could get Tennessee to
come into town, you go to Tennessee, you come home
with Tennessee instead of them buying out.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
The game to go play Virginia in week two. Yeah, yeah,
make the return trip.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
If b Y you could get bigger names into Levellodwood State,
like when they got I'd say Arkansas mid level name,
but that Texas team that came in and buy you
beat them up.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yeah, yeah, you know what it was interesting at that
ark when Arkansas came into BUYU. I was at that game,
and it was a I don't know, a reminder or
just like you, it was a great illustration of how
big football is in the SEC because you had Arkansas
come in. Who doesn't win anything by the way, Arkansas,
I mean just mediocre is being nice to say of Arkansas.

(26:31):
They had a ton of fans and just like obviously diehards,
and it just from you're just like, holy you forget.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
It looked like Utah was in town. Yeah, with how
many how much red was in the stadium, I know.
And it was the same when Oklahoma came to level
Bridge Stadium too. Yeah, tons of Oklahoma fans.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
And you get Oklahoma, I get because it's like they're
great almost every year. Arkansas never great, and yet they
just a rabid fan base. They're doing they're you know,
like snort, like doing the pick suits.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
The sy thing, and they'll do it in Unison so
weird shaking their hands.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
College football has some real.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
One dude that was sitting in front of me at
that game leaned over and said, and they call us
a cult.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
That's not a joke either. Like the dude actually said that.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I was just going to say they're college football like
it is cultish. Yeah, I'm talking about Texas, A and M.
There are some real kids that there.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Are some of those SEC football fans.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Man, a bunch of psychos. Oh Man.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
By the way, you will have Kansas in Missouri the
border war in Week two, which could be good. That
one always gets a little spicy. I think there's been
some preseason trash talk between those two. Better watch out
when Kansas and Missouri get on the field together. No,
they legit have talked about like having a brawl during
that football game, So you might want why might want
to watch that?

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Because they hate each other.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I don't know, they haven't even I mean I know
that they normally, Yeah, but they haven't played each other
for a while, haven't they.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I think they've played each of like the last three years.
It's been a series that's that's continued through conference tree
alignment and different things like that.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
I know they played last year. I know they played
last year.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
But yeah, there was some trash talk that happened at
SEC in Big twelve media days surrounding Kansas and Missouri. Okay,
Like there were just questions that were asked and each
you know they had one team had gotten winned from
the other one from other media members that asked them
about that, and they yeah, there was some things said

(28:41):
about that rivalry. So that's another one you could kind
of circle keep an eye on as you get closer
to week number two in the season as well. That's
a little bit of the first couple of weeks of
the college football season. So let us know on Twitter,
what are you doing with your last free weekend until
February when college football hits us. One week from this

(29:03):
Saturday is week zero, and you're gonna have a lot
of games on the television going forward that you can
just sit down and watch.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Let us know at Larson Sports l RS on Sports.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
You can also hit us up on the text in
line at eight seven seven three five three zero seven
hundred Once again, that's eight seven seven three five three
zero seven hundred four the text in line. Thursday, August
the fourteenth, we'll come back on the other side with
h some Major League Baseball news, Big Series, as Jordan
alluded to this upcoming week went weekend with the Padres
and Dodgers. Will talk a little MLB in two minutes

(29:36):
and three minutes time, right here on Bryce and bia
Nucci one of three nine and ninety eight three ESPO.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Listening to Bryson bia Nucci on one O, three nine
and ninety eight three ESPN, The Fan Tell No the
Bryson bia Nucci Podcast wherever you get your podcast today.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
A few other things that will you discussed throughout the
day today. I've been a lot of talk about Taylor
Swift and her appearance on the New Heights podcast.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Jordan, did you consume any of that yesterday? With the
debut of that, I.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Didn't even give me a heads up. I can give
you a little Taylor Swift coming in.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Well, I don't.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
I also did not watch any of it, So maybe
we won't talk about that one today we can.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
We can find out what happened.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
She announced a new album, she did, right, Okay, that's
all I know.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
That's all I know.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
That's all I know.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
That's the end of that.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I know that at one point there was more than
one million people watching concurrently.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
As they live streamed it.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I think they had previously recorded it and then they
set it up to live streaming. There was over one
million people that tuned in to watch them talk about
different things. So yeah, That was yesterday, little Taylor Swift
on the New Heights podcast.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
I'm suri you'll hear a lot about it throughout the
day today.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Also, Kansas pulled in a three hundred million dollar donation
suspected to be the largest in call it's sports history.
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
What are they going They're gonna They've renovated half their stadium,
now they're going to do the other half.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I heard, Yeah, there was seventy five million of it
that was expected to start phase two of their stadium.
They've got that brand new stadium there. They couldn't play
in it last year because of all the renovations, so
they played at Arrowhead for a lot of them, and
then a soccer stadium down the road in Kansas City
as well for half of their games. So they'll be

(31:28):
back in the boot this year and they're going to
finish up other renovations with the seventy five million and
then the other I don't know the rest of it's
going to go towards basketball and some other athletic endeavors.
But three hundred million dollars that's expected to be the
largest in college sports history, which is a lot of money.
Which begs the question whether or not. You know, Stanford

(31:50):
they have an endowment, how much of that runs their
sports and they do they consider that to be a gift.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Jordan's obviously not. It's because they have billions of dollars,
you know, a billion dollar endowment or whatever.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
So because you're telling me Phil Knight hasn't gifted three
hundred million dollars too, or like.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
There, maybe it was two hundred and ninety nine yeah,
or Kansas was like there, let me give you three
hundred and we'll call it the biggest.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Or he gifted just buildings and specific stuff and this
one's just a check.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Matthew Knight arena, man, we were walking outside of that
that that place looks nice.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
The basketball yeah arena. Yeah, I'll be honest with you
when you said that, I didn't remember what it was.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
It was pretty nice, was it?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Are you being sarcastic?

Speaker 3 (32:38):
No, it was pretty nice.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Okay, I don't remember it that well. I mean, I
know what you're talking about, but it was fine.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
It looked nice from the outside. We didn't get it
go in.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
No, I couldn't see the inside of it.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
It looked nice from the outside, and it looks nice
on television, but I've never been inside the actual building.
That's the latest with Kansas and whatnot. Let's sift over
to Major League Baseball here and we'll talk a little
bit about what's going on around major League Baseball. We've
got Padres and Dodgers this upcoming weekend. Surely it will
be a little chippy, Jordan when these two teams play Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

(33:15):
They're gonna be playing for first Division, and the Padres
have the one game leading currently.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Yeah, I mean, it's just unbelievable. The Dodgers swept by
the Angels, and not just in the three game series
this week. The Angels are six and zero against the
Dodgers this year, first time they've ever won six games
in a season and swept the season series with the
Dodgers with that many games. Did you see any of
that game last night?

Speaker 3 (33:40):
By the way, I did not.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
That was a great baseball game. That was a great
August baseball game. First of all, you had Joho Tani
starting on the mound, so top of the first, he's
up at bat and he triples bottom of the first,
comes out, retires a side one to three, faces Trout
strikes him out, and then he faces Trout later on

(34:02):
in the game, strikes him out again. So Trout over
two against Otani. But the Dodgers jumped out to a
three to nothing lead. They led late five to four.
The Dodgers in the eighth inning brought the Angels had
I want to say, what is the bases loaded in
a one run game with two outs? This kid up there,
this kid on the mound. The Dodgers just called up

(34:22):
from Triple A throwing one hundred and three miles an
hour and logan hoppy lines with a two strike count.
Lines a one hundred and hour fastball up the middle
for a two run single to give the Angels the lead,
and they win it.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
There. It was a great baseball game.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I'm telling you the Ron Washington effect. It's a culture change,
the culture change for the Angels. Watch out for him.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Next year.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
They make a couple moves in the offseason, they might
be back.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
You know the Angels are right now, they're five, five
games out. I think of the wild Card and they're
going up to Sacramento for three. If you sweep Sacramento,
who knows, you know? You have some The Red Sox
just got swept by Houston. Who knows who hits a
skid in front of the other Indian or Guardians whatever. Like,

(35:15):
Angels are not totally out of it. I'm not betting
on them, but like, that's a huge sweep for them.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah, don't count them out. We'll see if they've got
what it takes to finish it off. Don't count out
the Angels.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
We'll see.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
Look, it's not gonna happen, but.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
I'm cheering for it to happen. Yeah, give me the
Angels in the playoffs. That'd be fun.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
They're playing, They're fun to watch.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Right now. It's been a minute since they've been in
the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Oh, it's been over a decade, hasn't it.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
It's been a while. I mean I think they Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
I'm pulling it up right now, but I mean, like,
when is the last time they made the postseason? I
think I want to say it was like twenty four Yeah,
twenty fourteen, So it's been more than a decade.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Isn't there some insane stad out there about Mike Trout
having only having did he has he not played in
the playoffs, or he's only had a few at bats
in the playoffs at bats because it was just twenty
fourteen and they were swept by the Royals, who went
on to went on to win the pennant that year.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
So the Angels haven't won a playoff series or won
a playoff game since two thousand and nine. They have
not won a playoff series since two thousand and eight. Wow, No,
I take that back, Is that right?

Speaker 3 (36:30):
No?

Speaker 4 (36:30):
I short changed him?

Speaker 5 (36:31):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
They did win a series in two thousand and nine.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
I know it's a lot of money to pay Mike
Trout for one playoff appearance, and you had not to.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
Remind everybody you did have showoton and you did have
show a ton. Hey last night, former Bees coming through
Joe Adell.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Hey, there we go. That's a name I haven't heard
in quite some time.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I know.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
That's the other thing about the Angels is that when
they play well, and there's guys that played in Salt
Lake City that you can recognize certain names that it
went through the Triple A system and now will get
called up and they go play.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Well for the Angels. It's fun to cheer for those
guys too.

Speaker 5 (37:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
I mean, Joey Dill was awesome to watch. He was
the perfect beast player because he struck out a lot,
and then he would hit these home runs at elevation.
That the dude can hit a five hundred foot home
run at sea level. So up here the balls he
hit in Salt Lakes, it was unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (37:30):
That was fun to one.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Put it onto the street back there, seriously, over the houses.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
The fire department.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Yeah, the fire brigade. They ring the bell every time.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Oh man, So Padres Dodgers this upcoming weekend.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
He had a good.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Series with the Dodgers and the Angels, and a lot
more that has come in your way. Did we have
any sound in regards to Padres Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
We do not have any. Well, we do have some
Padre Dodgers sound. So I'm gonna give you this. The
The one not great thing about last night's Pottery's Dodgers
game was Cebe Buckner behind the plate. Not good, to
say the least. Bryce in the first inning, he missed
seven different calls in the first inning. Here here they
are in the first inning. You'll know when he missed him.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
You are Ray, Paul, excuse me?

Speaker 6 (38:22):
Strike one?

Speaker 5 (38:26):
Geez all right?

Speaker 6 (38:27):
Two and two, three to one from Hendricks inside would
call to strike Hendricks a three to two to Freeland
with the Riders going first pitch.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
At that point, you just gotta wait like two seconds
to make sure that you're calling it the correct way,
and you could tell after a while he just waited.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Yeah, listen. As a broadcaster, at some point, you do
have to kind of get o like you get Geesh
every time.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Yeah, exactly, you have.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
To like you know it's coming.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Was that the Dodgers?

Speaker 1 (39:11):
That was?

Speaker 5 (39:11):
That was the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Broadcast, which I don't think that wasn't Joe Davis. I
don't think I could be wrong.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
About that, but I don't think that was Joe Davis. Yeah,
that was.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
It was brutal. Those pitches were not super close. There
was one pitching. I was pissed off because I'm I'm
cheering for the Angels obviously, and I'm watching in the
ninth inning and Jansen's in there, Toll. That was another
thing that was interesting. BECs Jansen comes in against his
former team, but he had who was at the plate,
Will Smith? He had Will Smith. I want to say
the count was two and one.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
I could be wrong about that.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Jansen throws throws a fastball. Knee high price. None of
the none of the ball. Baseball was out of the
strike zone. All of it was in the box, all
of it. It's not half in, half out, even cut
the corner. It's down the middle and it's lower part
of the zone, completely in the strike zone.

Speaker 5 (40:02):
Ball three.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
Like, I don't know how you missed that pitch, but
it's just that. And luckily that didn't come back to
bite the Angels, because I mean that was There's a
huge difference between two and two and three and one.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Obviously, So let's be honest. You were mad because you
placed the prop bet on that single pitch.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
I did, And I had called Jansen before the game
and been like, listen, I need you to I need
you to spike one, all right, just scud one and
we're both gonna be happy, you know, happy campers. And
now I've been reported to the governor of Ohio. Did
you see, by the way, Ohio is making the move
to uh what's it called outlaw those those micro bets.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
I did see that. Yeah, might be a good move.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Probably prop bets across the country might be going away.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
Listen some of these prop bets you like, it's too
yeah too dangerous. I'm fine with I think you should
legalize betting. There are some things that are way too.

Speaker 5 (41:01):
Easy to manipulate that you just it's yeah, bad news.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
But anyway, that was as good as a regular season game,
especially an interleague game gets because interleague games, eh, I'm
not a huge fan of a lot of them. Yeah,
that was a great baseball game last night.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Well, you're gonna have more this weekend with the Padres
and Dodgers, which have a lot of implications on the
line for the playoffs this weekend when they get underway.
Coming up Tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, Sunday for the La Dodgers
and the San Diego Padres in Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
Real quick, I'm trying to get you your pitching matchups.
We got Kershaw Friday for the Dodgers, no starter announced
for the Padres, Saturday, no starters announced, and Sunday, no
starters announced.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Okay, little gamesmanship, baby, little gamesmanship between the two teams.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
All right, we'll take a break here.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Coming up next, we're gonna get you the latest around

in that fourth spot. After what he was able to
do in the first preseason game of the season, they
have him in that fourth spot. Dylan Gabriel is the

(43:32):
third slotted quarterback with Kenny Pickett as the backup currently,
and it sounds like those plans will not change as
they head into week one of the season, partially because
Shaudoor Sanders has strained his oblique and will not be
participating in practices today and in the next preseason game

(43:53):
for the Cleveland Browns. Jordan Binucci, does it surprise you
with the performance that should Nor Sanders put up over
the weekend that he is still the fourth quarterback on
that depth chart?

Speaker 4 (44:07):
I guess. I mean, I don't know. That's a good question.
I'll say no, because obviously they've seen stuff in practice.
It's not just about the game that they're worried about.
But it's kind of a moot point now with the
with the injury. I'm still does it surprise I mean,

(44:28):
Cleveland's best option at quarterbacks a forty year old yep
in Flacco. That's pretty crazy. I just yeah, I did that.
That that surprises me coming into the year. I'm still
that shoulder can't. So maybe my answer is yes, because
like really the fourth, fourth string.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
Well, this might be the reason why.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
And if you look at the first six games on
the schedule for the Cleveland Browns this year, they start
off with Cincinnati at home, They're gonna have to go
on the road to Baltimore in week two, Green Bay
at home in week three, on the road at Detroit
in week four, Minnesota at home in week five, and

(45:12):
the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in week six. Jeez,
So there might be a reason why they're gonna throw
Joe Flacco out there to the Wolves in the first
six weeks, and then it lightens up a little bit
after week six. Week seven, you're gonna have Miami, not
a tough game, but not a bad game at New England,
which very well could be a spot where you want

(45:33):
to start a rookie quarterback. Then you go into the
bye week and you have the New York Jets coming
out of the bye week. So there's a good spot
that hey, maybe if things aren't going well, they can
throw Shad or Sanders out there and say, here's your
opportunity with a couple of easier teams to take on
in the first six weeks.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
Yeah, does it surprise you when you were watching Dylan
Gabriel at Oregon, did you ever think that's a starting
quarterback in the NFL?

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Not really, Okay, I.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
Just wanted to.

Speaker 5 (46:06):
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (46:07):
Yeah, that's all I got. I just want because, like,
I mean, does he not have the arm?

Speaker 5 (46:12):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (46:16):
That's a good question because he can run, can't he? Yeah,
he can get it done on the ground. But there's
a lot of there's a lot of quarterbacks out there
that I'm like, I don't know if that dude is
an NFL quarterback, you know what I mean? Yeah, Like
I never saw what a lot of people thought in
Drake may is the starting quarterback in the NFL. Now,
he's hasn't had a lot of help so far, and
if you go and really break it down, there is

(46:38):
actually a couple of good throws that he's made, so
we'll see what he looks like once again for the Patriots.
But there's a couple of guys that have been drafted
in the last couple of years when I'm like, I
don't know if that dude really isn't NFL quarterback?

Speaker 4 (46:51):
Yeah, I mean I'm I'm with you there. I just
Dylan Gabriel. It's just interesting to watch these guys that
have been pretty dang successful in college football and they're
not even you know, let's be honest, not even close
to starting right now.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Well, and that's how it is in the NFL. That's
why we've seen what ten ten teams have good quarterback
play in the NFL in the last couple of years.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
Yeah, well, yeah, yeah, exactly that you're going. Now, we
like Kenny Kenny Pickett gives us a better chance to win.
No offense to Kenny Pickett, but like that, that's he's
got small hands, just got that's a problem.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
When you watched Kenny Pickett at Pittsburgh, did you did
you think the former pitt Panther was it going to
be an NFL quarterback?

Speaker 3 (47:38):
No?

Speaker 2 (47:38):
Yeah, When I saw him play against Tennessee in that
in that Week one or two matchup at home against Tennessee,
I was like, yeah, I don't know if this dude's
got what it takes.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
When I saw him playing the NFL, I didn't think
he was going to be an NFL quarterback.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
He's got small hands.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
It's the hand size.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
There's a lot of questions about those hands elsewhere around
the National Football League. Few things that just to mention.
Quick mentions for the NFL as far as it goes.
Jerry Jones back in the headlines, this time talking about
stage four melanoma. That said he has no tumors after

(48:18):
having stage four melanoma and that a trial drug saved
his life.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
Jordan, Jerry Jones is back in the headlines. That's odd,
that's crazy. Really, what did he say?

Speaker 5 (48:29):
What it was?

Speaker 3 (48:30):
He said?

Speaker 2 (48:30):
In the fifth episode of the Netflix documentary America's Team,
The Gambler and His Cowboys that debuts next week. Jones,
who's eighty two years old, talked about undergoing cancer treatments
at MD Anderson in Houston. However, he didn't reveal the
details of the treatment and what it was for. On Tuesday,

(48:51):
he said, I was saved by a fabulous treatment and
great doctors and a real miracle drug called PD one
or PD dash one. I went into trials for that
PD dash one and it has been one of the
great medicines. I now have no tumors. All right, that's
good news for Jerry Jones.

Speaker 4 (49:11):
There you go. I gotta be I don't have a
take on this.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
Although that's good news if that trial drug is actually
going to be helping people out.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
Though there you go, yeah, it's a yeah good. I
don't put it like I'm sure he's telling the truth.
But also Jerry was like, I haven't been talking to me.
I haven't heard about myself in the news this week.
Got to get this out there. No comment, It's a
Jerry Jones special. No comment. All right, that's your NFL

(49:44):
blitz this morning. We will take a break.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
Our number two is coming up next here on Bryce
and be a new tie. We're gonna have a lot
in our number two, including Brewers and their twelfth win
in the row, which means one certain restaurant chain is
it for it in the state of Wisconsin. So we'll
talk about that and that's all coming up next. But
before we do, let's jump out to the ESPN the

(50:09):
Fan Hotline and welcome in Bob Cornette, the airframe manager
at Duncan Aviation.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
Bob, how are things going for you?

Speaker 7 (50:16):
Thanks are great, Thanks for having me on.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Let's talk about I understand there's an event coming up
this weekend there at Duncan Aviation where people could come
out and see what it's like. Open house ten am
to two pm. Tell us a little bit about what's
going to be going on there and why people should
come out.

Speaker 7 (50:33):
Yeah, we're really excited to host an open house and
bring everything that we do in business aviation out to
our community. We've been here in Provo for a few
years now and it's a good opportunity to show people
what we do on the business jets, all those you know,
the private jets that people fly around, whether it's paint
and we do interior av on ice ups, grades and

(50:54):
it's just an opportunity to kind of open our doors
and show everybody what we do out here.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
So as I understand, you're an airframe manager, what is
your job, what do you do for your job and
what does that look like if someone also wanted to
become an airframe manager one day.

Speaker 7 (51:09):
Yeah, well, we have a lot of entry level positions
that can get us there. I started out with the
fuel team in nineteen ninety nine with Duncan Aviation. We
have a pathway for many careers and pathways to get
to an airframe manager positions. So with the airframe that's
a big part of what we do here. We are
the largest department where we handle the big heavy maintenance stuff,

(51:30):
whether it's opening up the aircraft and inspecting, whether it's wings, flats, ailerons,
all the mechanical functions of an aircraft ensure that it's
safe for the flying public.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
Well, you mentioned you started back in nineteen ninety nine.
Why is Duncan Aviation a great place to work and
what other types of jobs and different places are available
for people to get started there as well.

Speaker 7 (51:50):
Yeah, So we have over four hundred team members here
in Provo, most of which are local. You know, I've
been with them because it is a family owned business,
which is really rare in the aviation industry. Aviation industry
is a smaller industry and be in family owned just
really makes it a great atmosphere for our team members,
for the community, our the Duncan family owners are going

(52:10):
to be out here this Saturday to me and greet
with the public you'll find there. Really, it is just
a great atmosphere and culture that we create for team members,
whether it's great pay and benefits to work life balance,
really supporting our community and our team members.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
All right, this upcoming weekend, it's fun for the whole family.
They've got the stem Fund trailer. Tell us a little
bit about that, plus the bounce house, free popcorn, a
lot of local food truck vendors.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
What else can people expect.

Speaker 7 (52:35):
We're gonna have a lot of activities team for people
to come out and try, and we're gonna have a
demo for people to if they want to pretend like
the rich and on airplanes riveting. We're gonna have the
bounce house for the young kids, free popcorn. We're doing prizes,
like you said, local vendors. So there's gonna be a
lot of activities for everybody to kind of just immerse
themselves in the world of business aviation.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
There you have it. That's dunk In Aviation at the
pro where poor check them out this Saturday, August the sixteenth,
ten am to two pm. Fun for the entire family.
Along with guided tours of the facility, you can get
an inside look there and check out the variety of
jobs available at Duncan Aviation. You can also check them
out online at Duncan Aviation dot A E R O
slash PVU.

Speaker 3 (53:17):
Bob appreciate your time this morning.

Speaker 7 (53:19):
Yeah, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
We'll take a break. We'll be back on the other side,
right here on Bryce and Bianucci one of three nine
