Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Price and be a new GM the morning
one of these two years for the old days where
a little scuffle went unpunished, chucked over the school tests.
The other there's a more distinguished gentleman that's just trying
to become more in touch with this Italian roots.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Lame on one.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh three nine at ninety eight three ESPN.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Go bad, Welcome back to the Brice and b and
Nuccie Show. Second hour of the show. Here again, you
guys are wondering, Wait a minute, that's not Bryce, That's
not Jordan. Who is that? My name is Martin Kelly.
I'm the executive producer for The Down and Dirty with
Scott Mitchell every day from ten to eleven on ESPN
seven hundred and one to two. Here on esp and

(00:48):
the Fan. I'm holding down the show for today, Ronald.
The three men wea were held down the show yesterday,
Bryce held down the show most of this week. But
they're all on vacation. Jordan's on vacation. Bryce is on vacation. Hey.
We decided to take them right before the start of
the football season. Good on them. I'm taking mine in
the middle of the football season. I gotta go home
in October. I gotta go celebrate a birthday with my mom.

(01:09):
I'm gonna do that around that time. But let's come
back to the show here as we are at the
top of the hour here on ESPN the Fan one, O, three,
nine and ninety eighty three. Thank you forjuning in, Zach
Robinson with meet in the producing spots, Zach attack bro
It has been a fun first hour of the show,
hasn't it. We talked about Utah football, we talked about
the NFL. There are three games from last night. We
talked about some Utah Mammoth with their situation with their names.

(01:33):
Been at first good first hour, hasn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:35):
It has.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
It's finally it's good. Good to hear from from Winningham
and everybody. I think that was the main takeaway from
the first hour was his hearing from Utah football and
Kyle Whittingham and how this offense is kind of producing
in fall camp. And I don't know if you've heard
about this, Martin, but Whittingham said it's gonna be a
no huddle offense, a slower tempo. Obviously, I have my

(01:56):
concerns with that offense, just with the runs game being
how's the passing game going to be incorporated, and how
are guys gonna adjust to it from last year because
of Andy Ludwig leaving midway through the season, Rick the
Jakin taking over residue off at the quarters for the
rest of the year, versus now you're transitioning, transitioning into
a new offense with Jason Beck.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I one hundred percent agree with you. I'm gonna go
a little opposite with that. I'm not worried about this
at all. With Jason Bek and Devin Dan period. They
know each other. They come from New Mexico State. It
isn't like you brought in a new offensive coordinator and
a new quarterback that don't know each other at all.
You had to spend the entire spring and fall camp
to get on the same pace. They know their style,
they know what they want to do. A no huddle offense,
to me, is perfect for Utah football. They need to

(02:36):
get some type of tempo, They need to get defenses
off their own pace. They need to force that idea
that they are going to run, run, run up and
down the field. Just sending simple signals get everybody up
on the line. To me, that's exactly what Utah football
should do. I'm not worried about that offensive line. Logan
Fano and that whole entire offensive line is going to
hold down the entire season. There's three potential first round

(02:59):
offensive line pigs off this offensive line. Dude, it is
the plucking for anybody up there, especially for my Chicago beards.
Maybe they need another left tagle just saying so, maybe,
just maybe he falls to the Bears in the draft,
but that's a long ways away. I can't wait to
see what this offense does for Utah football. You're right,
that was a takeaway from the first hour Utah Football
sound I'm not worried about it as much as Zach Giaz,

(03:21):
but I do agree with you what happened last season
with Utah Football having to replaced their offensive coordinator midway
through the season. You lost your starting quarterback at the
beginning of the season. You had to go to your
freshman start backup. He was not ready. He did get
a win, but it just wasn't pretty throughout the rest
of the season. They have settled in on who's going
to be the starting quarterback, and they've also settled in
on an idea who can be their backup at the

(03:43):
top of the hill. So we'll see what happens with
the utes. But overall, I'm confident in this Utah offense.
I am.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
I know it.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I'm saying that everyone's going, are you crazy? We haven't
seen them play yet. I have confidence in this Kyle
Winningham style of offense that's coming new and fresh to
this team. All right, let's talk about it, no thing. Okay,
let's go to another hill. Hollywood. Okay, they got themselves
a hill over there. It's not too many, but they
got a hill. They got a bunch of letters, I say,
Hollywood on it. Okay, that's good enough for me. Okay.

(04:12):
Now let's talk about one of the best teams out
there in LA. It is the Los Angeles Lakers. Okay,
look at Donas about a week and a half ago
sign into a new contract extension, saying he's gonna stay
with the Lakers for three years at one hundred and
sixty five million dollars. Sorry a week and a half ago.
It was this week. It was earlier this week. Okay.
Lebron James opted into his fifty two point six million

(04:33):
dollar contract opt in for this season. And now I
know what you're thinking. Wait a minute, Why are we
talking about the NBA? Well, I want to talk about
the NBA because this is interesting for the Lakers. Okay,
this is interesting because this is a make it or
breaking season for the Lakers. Now, everyone's gonna say, wait
a minute, didn't you just say Luca signed a three
year contract extension. How can I be a make it

(04:54):
or break a season in his first year of an extension.
Lebron James is probably gonna play another season or two
with the Lakers to make sure that Bryce gets onto
the roster too, so he can say he played with
Brownie James and Bryce James. What are you talking about?
The Lakers are in a situation where they're gonna be
able to win some games. They won't be a competitive
NBA championship team, but they're not gonna be a bottom
feeder with trying to compete for twenty twenty five wins.

(05:17):
You're absolutely right, but this is still making a breaking
season for the Lakers because playing this average limbo is
not what the Lakers are. That is simply exactly not
what they are. Listen, the Lakers have been known to
get free agents. They've been known to make some big splashes.
They've been known to make some right roster moves. They've
been known to be efficient and consistent and who they've been.

(05:38):
They're gonna go out and get the splashy top big
free agents, and they're gonna fill in the rest of
the roster with a bunch of really good guys. We're
gonna get Shaquille O'Neil and Robert Orie. We're gonna get
a guy who can hit a three to win a
championship and a guy that can steal a ball to
make sure that they can get it out to him
for a chance to win a two, chance to win
a game. Okay, they're gonna make sure that they get
a Paul Gasol on a tree. They're gonna make sure

(06:00):
that they get a Fisher in the draft. They're gonna
make sure that they got the guys. Okay, they're gonna
make sure that even though the Karl Malone and you know,
the glove of his names, escave me, Gary Payton. Okay,
that didn't work completely, but they went out and made splashes. Okay.
The Lakers have been known for these type of moves,
and they have not worked in the past. Okay, their

(06:22):
last big free agency move or splash that they made
was Dwight Howard. And that's years ago. That's almost fifteen
years ago at this point. Okay, that's when I was
a sophomore in high school. That was twenty twelve. I
mean seriously, it has been almost a decade and a
half since the Lakers have made any big splash move.
Now they have what they think is is a big

(06:43):
splash move. They traded Anthony Davis away from the Lakers
for Lugadancis. It was a trade in the middle of
the night, Mayflower style Indianapolis Colts come a live type thing, Baltimore,
move in Indianapolis, move Okay, out of nowhere, all right.
Anthony Davis was expected to be the young star that
took over LA for Lebron James and become the next

(07:04):
great Laker. That didn't work. He couldn't keep his legs healthy,
his knees healthy, or his ankle's healthy. Okay, Now they're
gonna go out and get Luca Doncics. Now they're gonna
pair him up with a forty plus year old Lebron James.
Now they're gonna pair up with someone who's played almost
twenty two seasons in the NBA. Now, They're gonna pair
him up with a team that has not looked the
same in years. They have not looked like the team

(07:25):
that is a scary top two Western Conference team. They've
looked like just a bump in the road, maybe a
team you struggle with in the first round. AKA, the
Memphis Grizzlies struggled against them in the first round, and
the Lakers took that all the way to the Western
Conference Finals and got smacked by the Denver Nuggets. Okay,
this Lakers team needs to hit on this Luka Doncics trade,

(07:48):
and they need to hit on this extension, especially with
Lebron James. Lebron James, in my opinion, is gonna try
to go for twenty five seasons. He's gonna try to
pull a Tom Brady move. He's gonna try to hold
the crown of say and I have played the most
seasons in the NBA respect me now type style, and
I totally get that. Okay, But at the same time,

(08:09):
if they don't get out to a quick twenty wins
in the first part of the season with Luca and
Lebron James now, the Lakers are gonna struggle all the
way until February until they make roster moves. Okay, it
is one hundred percent a situation for the Lakers to
get off to a really good start, get to the
be one of the quickest teams of twenty wins, be

(08:29):
one of those teams that's competing for the top seed
in the Western Conference. You cannot sit back and wait
for this team to explode in March. You need to
explode in October November. Set the tempo, set the pace,
set the tote. Okay, that is exactly what Lebron James does. Yes,
everyone says, well, Lebron James doesn't play as hard as
he does in the playoffs versus the regular season. He

(08:51):
always takes his foot off the guests. That's one hundred
percent true. But that's when he was twenty nine, thirty
thirty one, thirty three, thirty four. When he can do that.
He is thirty nine going on forty. He cannot do
that anymore, all Right, Luca needs to be the guy
that gets off to that fast pass, that fast pace,
that step on the gas pedal. He needs to do that. Okay,

(09:11):
Luca is the guy to get off to that pace.
Because the Lakers show that after they got Luca. They
had that run where they were winning double digit games,
They had that run where they look like a legit
team that could be scary in the playoffs, and then
all of a sudden, the sky fell on him, and
it fell on him hard. Okay, the Lakers need to
hit on this extension by Luca and by this opt

(09:34):
in by Lebron James. They have no more time to waste. Okay,
Lebron James is going to leave soon. Okay, whatever team
he is on, Bryce and Bron and James will be on.
I guarantee you that. Okay, Luca is the only thing
left in LA, and if you leave him with nothing
but a bunch of roster guys, it is gonna be
a struggle and it's gonna look like what he was

(09:56):
in Dallas. Okay. That's the whole entire point that you
train him Dallas to La, which is to change his
mind and mentality to say, hey, listen, I don't need
to be the whole entire load. I can just be
partially of it. Okay, and they need to do it fast. Okay.
The Lakers need to hit on this season. It is
an important season for them. It is a make it

(10:16):
or break it season. It is seriously a point in
time for the Lakers to make a decision. Are we
a legit competitive team, a top four Western Conference NBA
Finals team, or are we just a really really good
fun team Because if they don't make that decision quick,
this season is gonna be a struggle. Zach, let me
invite you on. Am I wrong to think that like

(10:38):
this is a make it or break the season for
the Lakers? They need to hit on this contract extension
by Lukadancic.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
Yeah, you you pretty much said it all. You said
what I was had thinking in my mind. I think
there is a little bit of a making or break
it for the Lakers this season. If Lebron decides to
leave after this season, then yeah, that's definitely a make
it or break it. You trade Anthony Is to the
Dallas Mavericks for Luka, Doncic, donch just staying in LA
for three years at one hundred and sixty five million deal,

(11:05):
and then obviously Lebron opting in for fifty six point
or sorry, fifty two point six million, So it is
definitely making a break Lebron's opting in right, Obviously he
wants to play with the Sun Bryce and it's just
like it's there. They have the ability to sign these
guys because one you got Lebron James, who's gonna influence
a player who signed with the Lakers. I mean, seriously,

(11:26):
we saw then shoulder we came. We saw Anthony Davis
come to the Lakers when they want it back in
twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
And Rajon Rondo, who is that last legs we've seen
who wasn't from the Golden State Warriors. The names escaping me,
but we've seen plenty of the veterans try to come
onto this team.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Yeah, I agree, and it's like, what there's that recruitment
from Lebron and now Luka Doncic kind of is that
younger side of Lebron kind of but more obviously not
in the best shape, but he is getting in shape,
which is good to hear.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
Obviously that's gonna be pretty pretty good for him in
his career in the future. But like I said, I
think it's gonna be making a break up this year
just because you know, everybody's had like, oh, yeah, Lakers
are gonna go to the finals. So yeah, the Lakers
are gonna make it to the Western Conference.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Finals.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
The Lakers are gonna do this. Lakers are gonna do that.
They got to prove it. You know, your young coach
and JJ Reddick obviously first year was eh losing in
the play in not great. Nope, not great at all
for a Lakers team that was projected to make the
finals and be high in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
And last thing on that play in. To me, if
you losing a play in, that's like missing the playoffs. Okay,
I understand the players are a chance for you to
make the playoffs, but if you losing the play in,
that's basically you missed the playoffs. So Lebron James missing
the playoffs, being bounced out of the first round is
not something he does. Okay, this is not Lebron James.
This is not what his legacy should be in the
back end of his career. I apologize to cut you out, Zide.

(12:54):
You're bringing up a great point. This is legitimately, I
think Lebron James last great season. I just I just
I just don't see anything else that the Lakers can
do to add to this roster to make them the
superior splash. They had a chance to go out and
get Damian Lillard even if he was on an Achilles'
injury and come back the next season. You have a

(13:16):
promise of Damian coming in and saying, hey listen, Lillard,
Lebron and Luca Man. That would have been fun to watch.
But I just don't know. I don't know what has
happened to LA. They're not a free agency splash destination anymore.
Nobody wants to go play for the Lakers. And it
is just puzzling to me, isn't it, Zach.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
Yeah, it's puzzling. It's puzzling to me too. And like
a couple examples I can think of for like, not
it being a free agency splash is because of the coach.
We saw this with the Nets, Steve Nash when he
was coaching the Nets, and now we're sitting with JJ Reddick.
And obviously preseason projections are not great and they like
we have the expectations. For example, like the Jazz when
they were the number one seed back in twenty twenty one,

(13:57):
the Jazz making big playoff runs back to back to
back and still losing in the second round, not making
a conference finals, or the Buffalo bill is being projected
to make the Super Bowl and then they lose to
the Chiefs in the divisional rounds. Those are there's those
are like many examples of preseason projections. It's not working.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Yeah, yeah, you're right, all right, let's cut that. Let's
cut this segment short. Let's talk let's talk more about
BYU football. On the other end, we're gonna listen to
Colonie Satake. This was sound from a few days ago,
but we're gonna listen to what he has to say
because we got Ronald the three men. We were Ronald,
we were the third on the other side of a
break here, we're gonna talk to him about BYU football
so far in fall practice, who is the leading candidate

(14:37):
for quarterback one, and what can we expect from BYU
going into the season. All that and much more here
on the Bryson b. A Ucci Show in ESPN one
oh three nine and ninety eight three The Fan.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
You're listening to Bryson bia Nucci on one oh three
nine and ninety eight three ESPN Coup Fan download the
Bryson b. A Nucci Podcast where ever you get your
podcast today.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
That's right, we're chowning baby the Brights. B and Ucci
Show here on ESPN one oh three, nine and ninety
eight three the fan. I know what everybody's wondering. Wait
a minute, that's not right. That's not Jordan. Whose voice
is that? That's not Ronald the we were the third either,
Who is that? I'm Martin Kelly, the executive producer for

(15:26):
The Down and Dirty with Scott Mitchell every day on
ESPN seven hundred and on the fan from one to two.
Oh yeah, we're jonming baby Where gentlemen, Ah, Zach, you
have no idea, bro, This is from my childhood.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Man.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
I used to listen to Bob Marlow with my dad
from time to time. The Doors, the Clash. I used
to listen to all that when I was a kid.
Oh man, you brought me back to my childhood a
little bit there, Zach, you're doing an awesome producing job today.
You're better than me, man, one hundred percent. You're better
than me. Behind the glass, I am just a goofball, man.
I can't stay off my phone from time to time.
It is so distracting from me.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Dude.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
I mean, I also grew up on Bob mart I
grew up on some Clash, some Sublime, and then I
kind of explored my music taste into hip hop and
country and everything like that too. So but yeah, I mean,
we're both goofy people, and obviously I'm doing a great
I appreciate you saying I'm doing a great job in
the producing room. Obviously, I wanted to get to that
point where I want to host the show at one point,
so it's good to get the experience of producing and

(16:22):
then kind of learning into that with hosting. So I'm
excited to do that in the future, whenever I get
that opportunity.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
But yeah, we'll.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
See, we'll see that. It took me two and a
half years to get to this point, so maybe it'll
take you a little bit longer. You've been with us for
almost a year and a half now, I think almost
about that long, So it is you've been around a while.
Zach and I were joking last night. He's like, you
need me to say you either rundown. I'm like, dude,
I've had that rundown long and you've been working with us. Man,
It's been in my you know, Google docs file for
a long long time.

Speaker 6 (16:50):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
I've never missed that document whatsoever. Like I knew it
was in there, and it was just having a little
fun with him last night as much as I do
so as I got introduced to this sound in my
ear Let's listen to some BYU football sound. We're gonna
listen to coach Kolaney. We got Ronald the three Man.
We were coming up here, executive producer for the Cougar
Sports Show here with Ben Kridtle on ESP and the fan.

(17:13):
We're gonna talk to him about a bunch of things
with b WYU fall camp. But listen to what Kilani
had to say earlier this week about his quarterback battle
and his whole entire team.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Today. Really good.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
We had some live work with the ones, the twos
and the threes and situational work, so a lot of
good things. First time in full pads, and so that
was It was good to get some tackling in, get
some tackling drills, all that stuff. So it pleased the
way the team's working. Obviously, we had some mistakes. Just
make sure those mistakes don't show up tomorrow tomorrow and
show up in the next practice.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
That's gonna be the goal.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
And I don't expect us to not make any mistakes
in practice, but I expect us to fix them and
make sure that they're not occurring every time, so but
I think that that's a given when you have what
our defense is doing. We had a couple of false
starts and you know, had the ball on the ground
and a bat snap. But other than that, I think
those are very fixable items. Got to go see how

(18:05):
that we did. Everybody doing their one eleventh. So what
questions do you guys have for me?

Speaker 6 (18:08):
Is there're a quarterback that's starting to separate themselves at all.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Now.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
They're all playing at a high level, all of them,
and so that's a that's a good sign. Makes it
more difficult. We asked them to make it difficult for us,
and so, uh, they're doing that, and we just got
to keep giving him a situational work like today and
so my work, even though the quarterbacks aren't live kind
of seeing them the decision making process for them. Are
they making great decisions and and really difficult times?

Speaker 4 (18:34):
You know, planting with the situation with Polkai, Are you
concerned now with your running back death?

Speaker 7 (18:39):
No, I mean we've had a deep group for a
while now. We're still waiting on what happens with Fullau,
with Hinckley and so but I feel really confident with
the with the rest of the guys. Obviously, h the
entire group, and we removed Prest and Rex over there
and he's getting some good work and Sean is doing
great there, so I think we'll be in a good spot.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
So outside of Cha, there's not a ton of experience
in the Wide Receiver group. How do you feel it
coming along?

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Yeah, Parker's got a lot of experience.

Speaker 7 (19:06):
I mean, I think, you know, Joe, Joe's getting warm,
but they're gonna be fine. The talent's there is just
putting it all together and making sure they're learning our
our system. It's the new guys like uh, you know, Reggie,
and and and Cody, but Cody's Cody's been here, so
I think he's adapting really well. It's just in a
matter of getting him, you know, shaking them. The mission

(19:27):
legs off, and I think he's got him. He looks
he looks like the kid that ran Rousing Corner Canyon,
So I'm excited to see him.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
I thought he had a really good day today.

Speaker 7 (19:36):
The rest of the guys are doing grad Chase and
Chase is leading the group, and I think that there's
a lot of talent there. They just need to get
used to our system and and uh, fessi's expectations.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
You hope to go into a week two? What do
you want to see as far as getting that art.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
Yeah, well we got a lot we're live work now,
so you know, last week it was more of a
we're we're kind of acclimating to to the to the
game with pads on, and now we're gonna be you know,
other than we had shoulder pads and helmets, but now
we're gonna be a full gear quite a bit. And
I've said this before, we I don't know any any
other way to get better at football than practicing it
and having those sparring sessions. And so today was a

(20:15):
good amount of live work. I'm sure guys got banged up,
but that's okay. We just got to keep rolling with it.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
There's a scrimmage this weekend. You hope that will brings
some separation in the quarterback battle?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Yeah, I think.

Speaker 7 (20:25):
I mean every everything makes, everything matters, and so factors
into it. Obviously that scrimmage are gonna have a full
ref crew there, so we would be at stadium, So
I imagine the guys are gonna gonna be ready for
that and be excited. We're trying to stimulate what the
game would be like and I think that would be
a good moment for them.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
But it all matters right now.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Snap.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
How concerned are you with is that been an issue
throughout camps and bad snaps from Brice out?

Speaker 3 (20:52):
No.

Speaker 7 (20:52):
I think it's hard when you have number fifty seven
lining up right head up on you, So that makes things.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I mean we've had some.

Speaker 7 (20:57):
Really good detackles do that to to center and so, uh,
he'll get used to it. It's just hard when you're
when you have a beast in front of you that
you had to snap the ball and you have to
move and keep him away from the quarterback or away
from the bull carrier. So that's a that's a hard task.
But rust will be fine. I mean it was it
was it was one snap today that was that was Aaron.

(21:18):
Other than that, it was a perfect day for him.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Follow up ons see him, Pats.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
How impressive you've been with with him in camp with Yeah?

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Yeah, I mean he's he's always been an explosive player,
but seeing him work with and with Gary and with
Jay and the system, I think I think we're leaning
on his his leadership. He's done a great job getting
the energy up and you guys saw at the end
of practice. The defense has been like that every practice
that he's been involved. So I think it's it's it's
the things that he does off the field that helps

(21:49):
our team more than anything.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
But it helps out too that he's very disruptive.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
Aaron Rodgers was real complimentary of l J just how
he's got in his body in the shape a guy
that can carry the ball twenty five times if needed.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
I think he can carry more than that.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
I mean, I think he's in a position now where
you know, last year he was just fighting to get
back and get healthy.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Now, I think you guys can see it.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
He's he's a he's a different guy, and he's kind
of matured into his adult body.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
And it also helps that that he knows the playbook.

Speaker 7 (22:17):
I mean, he's not struggling trying to memorize stuff, and
so in fact, he's he has ideas and thoughts on
how we can block things. And that's when you know
you got a guy that's it's kind of a veteran
and we can count on him.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
And he's becoming a leader too.

Speaker 7 (22:29):
And I said before the first two years they didn't
talk much and and then now he's he's speaking up
and and guys are listening.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Wall adapting his leadership.

Speaker 7 (22:41):
Tanner has always been a great leader for us, and
I think even when he was playing special teams and
had limited role on defense, he's doing some really good
things for us as a leader.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
So we'll always we'll always need that leadership.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
We have good quality leaders on the team, and I
don't I don't think you need to be a starter
to be a leader. But it helps that he's had
a significant amount of reps and starts under his belt,
so we can lean on him.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
But I think the key leadership is.

Speaker 7 (23:08):
Just if they're what they're saying makes sense, and if
it's true, then we just abide by it. But it
takes great, great guys who want to follow and humble
guys that want to follow in order for a leader
to excel, and Tanner has always been comfortable saying the
right things at the right time.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
The coaches, any of the.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Freshmen or the guys coming back from the mission's impressed.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
You're stuck out. Yeah, they all have.

Speaker 7 (23:29):
I mean, I'm I've been impressed with all the talent
that we see the guys are here and I think
something that's a little bit and I probably shouldn't mention it,
but it's like the D line that the new guys
that the D line have done a great job understanding
what we want from them, becoming really disruptive and have
to give a lot of credit to those coaches that
are getting them ready. So there's a lot of talent

(23:49):
there and probably not as much experience, and probably not
a lot of known players I think Keanu, but those
guys in JT. But those guys are going to get
the job done. And we feel really excited about the
depth at that team and the com at that that
position and how competitive those guys are wanting to play.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Football get better at it.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
Have you revised how often you may go live.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
During this camp yet? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (24:11):
I mean we we we talk about it with our
with our sports science group. We know how far we
can push them. There's gonna be a lot of times
in practice that will go live, even if it's not
a live you know, there's obviously live days, but even
if they're not meant to be live, I think if
we put full pads on, then how can you put
full pads on and never go live. So we'll find

(24:33):
ways for those guys to just spar and get better.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
You talked about.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
LJS anybody else wing standing up as.

Speaker 7 (24:40):
A vote the leader when the yeah, they all are,
I mean the whole entire old lines doing that. I
mean you got Jada and and you have Carson Rys
becoming a leader, and you have Andrew Gentries becoming a leader,
and Bruce Mitchell, I mean all those guys. Whaleen's always
been a leader for us Austin, LUSA. So I mean
Sonny Ma Cassini. There's there's a lot of guys that

(25:00):
we can count on that to be leaders for us.
And I'm sure leaving out a couple, but the on
line of the biggest guys, everybody listens when they talking,
and fortunately for us, we have a lot of experienced
guys there.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
All right, guys, thank you appreciate it. All right.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
There's Klonne to Colin Satake the by you had football
goes talking to the media a few days ago talking
about his quarterback battle. What we expect from LJ. Martin
this season after he had a bit of a struggle
last year trying to stay healthy. His top transferred Kenovasa
talking about how scary he is and making the offensive
line jump a little bit, how that defense has looked

(25:37):
so far, how they looked and live full practice. I
love everything Klannie said right there. Listen, Klannie to me
is that standard. You know, a level headed coach. He's
such a dad when he talks. He has no you know,
ill will to say about players. He always tries to
bring the most positive and they give you the most
honest answer he can. I love what he said that.

(25:59):
You know, listen, we have some injuries in the running
back room, but we're seeing some guys step up. We
may have boosed some guys from defense back to offense
to see whether they can pick up some of the
slack with the you know, injuries we have in the
in the running back room. I like that he said. Hey, listen,
my whole entire offensive line man are trying to become
all the leaders. They're trying to talk to the guy.
They're trying to get these guys going. They're trying to

(26:19):
set the tempo like, you don't just need it from LJ.
You need it from your guys that are gonna protect LJ.
You're going to keep him trying to keep him healthy
all season and make sure that he gets to the
thousand yard number that LJ wants to get to. Like
that is one hundred percent something you want to hear
from Klannie Klani is just absolutely a dad like coach,

(26:40):
and I love that when he talks to the media,
he had a bunch of good things to say right there.
You know you want him to, you know, maybe say
that they had some bad snaps, bad reps. But even
then he said, listen, we had a couple of fall
start situation on our offensive line. But other than that,
they had a good day. That's really good to hear.
That's really good to see. It's really good to feel

(27:01):
like that about BYU football. Obviously he's telling him the
quarterbacks say, make it hard on us, make it hard
for us to make a decision. That's exactly what you want.
You want that type of situation to be such a
tough battle. You want to go, man, Should I start him?
Should I start him? He made a good play there,
He made a good play there, He made a good decision.
He changed the play there, he made an audible He

(27:22):
fixed everything that we tried to make wrong on the
offense side of the ball. That's exactly what you want
to hear. Obviously, they're gonna try to look for more
leadership and you know, some experience in the wide receiver room.
He said. Listen, Parker Kingston, he's got his experience, Jojo,
He's got his experience. Phillips. He is one hundred percent
guy that could possibly step up and be that wide
receiver too. Right with Parker Kingston, we all know Chase

(27:44):
Robert is the top guy. Klonnie, what can you say?

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Man?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
He had everything, He had said everything right to the media,
and of course that's what you want to hear from
your head football coach. Kline did a really good job there.
But whateverything he said about his defense and his offense.
To me, it sounds like what by fans want to hear.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
They want to hear the positivity and the and the
honesty because they expect to at least have a good season.
The expectations coming into the season where eleven wins a
Collage Ball playoff appearance, now seven eight wins, and you
have this type of of leadership from your head coach,
getting to that seventy wins, getting to that Bowloze ability

(28:20):
won't be that much harder than what we all thought
going into this fall camp. This is exactly what you
want to hear from Kolonie. All Right, we're gonna take
a break. When we come back, we're gonna talk to
the man Ronald the three Man. We were about that
Kalanie sound and much more about by a football. We're
gonna carry it all the way until the nine o'clock hour,
but we're gonna have so much more coming up here
on the show. In the nine o'clock hour. We'll got

(28:41):
we got a guest that's gonna talk about Big twelve
and the l A. Rams football. We're gonna get to
all that and much more on The Bryson, b and
Nucci Show right here on ESPN one oh three nine
ninety eight three.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
You're listening to Bryson Bia Nucci on one O three

Price Cynthia Nucci Podcast wherever you get your podcast today.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
True friend?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
What question?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Oh yeah, King cut up Kendrick la Mar. Yeah, that's
how we opened the segment here on The briceon Bing
Nucci Show, ESPN one O three, nine ninety eight three.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
The Fan.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Oh yeah, that's a good little groove right there.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Man.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
He came out with John in the segment before now
you come out king Cuto. Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah. Listen, man,
I gotta get my little grooving and gym and in
I know he's listening. We're gonna invite Rono the Three Men.
We were here just in a minute, all right, to
talk about some BYU football. But I just had to
enjoy that for one more second there. Okay, Ronald the
Three Men we were Let's bring him on here.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
It is happy to have you on the show here
this morning to talk about some BYU football. But first, Ronald,
you and I go a little ways back. Bro, we're
both from Chicago, and I hate to also bring this up,
but can you believe it, dude, I'm hosting. I get
the opportunity to host shows. Now, Dude, they get the
give me the keys to drive the car.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Man, Hey, you know what I always say when they
give you the keys to drive the car, just don't
crash the vehicle and they'll let you drive it again.
Happy to hear your host. And I've been listening to
you guys more and I've had some other things going on.
But you guys have had a good show thus far
and thanks for having me appreciate it always hopping.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
On absolutely, Ronald, we bring you on to talk about
some BYU football. Let's dive right into it. Okay, the
segment before we listen to coach Koloney, him talking about
the quarterback battle, the running back room, possibly some injuries,
they're moving some guys from the defensive side of the
offense side of the ball. Him talking about the leadership
that LJ. Martin that offensive line is trying to bring
into the room, about some possible experience that they need

(30:38):
a wide receiver. He covered a lot of things defense
side of the ball as well. Let me start with this. Obviously,
the conversation is mainly about the quarterback battle right now,
if you had to put any money on it, who
is the leading horse to be the quarterback one for
BYU the very first week, not just next week for
BYU fall camp, but who could possibly be that leading
horse to leave the car out of the tunnel their

(31:01):
very first week of the season.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
And let me just preface these guys. It's been on
seven days of fall camp. Yeah, you know, another eight
days of fault camp. Excuse me today will be Day nine.
Tomorrow will be day team. Just to give the fans
on opportunity here, b A, you will have their first
scrimmage tomorrow, so that I would tell us a lot
more about the battle. But I mean we got let
in last week, you know, because fall camp started. Baron
Bachmeyer had a great Day one, you know, I believe

(31:25):
it was July thirty. First he looked great out of everybody, right,
and then Day two, which was always first that we
were letting, it was really Day three not so good.

Speaker 7 (31:33):
You know.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
He stayed in the pocket like I told him, but
he threw a pick, you know, first day tracing Borgette
throwing a pick, you know, he threw it. Start off
with a touchdown and he threw interception of raider De
Mooney and McKay had to take checkdown throws at day
one and then day two had some overthrows. And that's
why it's been Each quarterback has had a different day,
like Trayson had a great day last Friday, and then
McKay had good days this week, you know. And from

(31:54):
everything that I know and everything that I've heard, if
I had to put my finger on it, it's still McKay.
Hill's drop to lose man. It's a guy that knows
the system. I think the best that's been able to
play a little bit longer in the system than everybody
being there. Him and Trace, and I think there's the
two candidates leading Bear Bachmeers behind. He's just a freshman.
There's nothing against Bear. Bear can definitely tell you can

(32:15):
see that he is light years ahead of any freshman.
And throws. He made a couple of throws that first
week where you're like, yeah, freshman shouldn't be able to
make that throw, but they did. But he did though, right,
because that speaks to the four star talent in which
he is. But there's levels to this, you know, Like
I said earlier this week, he should have gotten rid
of the football. I get the guys ran, you know,

(32:37):
the wrong route and at a certain point, but you
got to dirt the ball that you gotta get rid
of it. You can't hold onto it because an actual
game there will be a sack, right and you don't
want to take that. You want the quarterback that's going
to eliminate negative plays, the guy that's going to create
the less amount of turnovers, and that's going to move
the sticks. And I got to me, is Michael's dead.
He throws one of the best d balls up, saying

(32:57):
he can truly sling it. He's truly done a great
deal with our quarterback when the pocket breaks down and
when he needs six ten players with his legs. He's
really hard to contain for when you think of football
in college and at the highest level of the spy,
McKay hills said, I think is the best quarterback on
BOE's roster that makes you adjust your defensive spy. If
you don't do that, he'll just run up the middle

(33:18):
of you. He's that dynamic of a runner where he
can extend plays like that. I'm not going to say
Patrick mahomes us. You guys know how I feel about that,
But we see guys like that of like, okay, if
they don't like what they see, they'll go move and
they'll go run, you know, for first down. So he puts,
in my opinion, the most pressure and executes Aaron Roderick's
offense the best the way that he wanted to be executed.

(33:39):
So when you discuss those things, I think McKay hills said,
is the favorite.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
All right, all right, let's talk about another offensive player.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
L J.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Martin. Obviously, last season he was hurt, he was injured.
He was hiding it from everybody. He didn't want to
talk to the media. He kind of wanted to show
himself away. This season, he's healthy, he's talking. He's trying
to be a leader on the offense side of the ball.
We heard Colonney talk about it earlier in the show,
so that he's trying to take those steps to be
the veteran he didn't talk his first couple of years.
Is this the season where LJ. Martin finally has everything

(34:07):
go right for him and reset one thousand yards as
a running back?

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Now? Just want to, you know, give people a little
bit more. I know LJF talked to LJ you know
in interviews on the record, off the record. I mean
those guys just a quiet dude's just a young guy.
I mean, it takes kids times to adjust, right. It's
just all about business, you know, And he's his personality
has opened up more. Colooney said that he was being
a little bit tongue in cheek. He was joking. I'm like, oh, yeah,

(34:32):
he's talking, but no, like he's truly become a leader
on this offense. He's become way more vocal. Sometimes it
takes a guy to come into his own shell, you know.
You see guys do this around that junior year. It's
not that LJ necessarily didn't want to talk. It's not
that he was hiding his injury.

Speaker 7 (34:46):
He was.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
I think when certain you know, immediate perspectives or people
pushing a certain thing, like I remember, you know that
there were reports about all he's injury, he's going to
be out for four games, and he played the first
game as a player. Guys like these guys have emotions.
These guys are human being to when they see that
stuff that irritates them, right, and like, I won't lie
like I played college rugby. If there were reports that
weren't true that I wasn't going to play four games,

(35:07):
you know, and then I rolled out there game one,
in game two, I'd be upset too. Now, granted, he
got hurt, you know, in the in the XMU game
in that game three and wasn't able to you know,
go forward in the next week's because he got rolled
up on. No one likes you know, getting rolled ankles
or high ankles brains from what it looked like to
me at least, but yeah. I mean, this is a
guy that had what would have had a thousand yards

(35:30):
last year, in my opinion, would have been flirting with
it if he doesn't get nicked up right because he
wasn't able to play and you know, you know two
or three games last season, same thing happened year one.
But when he's fully healthy, he's a thousand yard back
in no doubt. He's too dynamic, he's cut. He looks
extremely cut. From looking at him, he looks faster. He
had a running player fall camp on Teesday where he
ran through the middle past everybody and nobody touched him

(35:51):
and it was a sixty yard touchdown. But you're going
to see a lot of that this season. Aaron Rodgers
has been very vocal about that. Hey, you know, we
need to reuse him a lot, Like he doesn't want
to put a number on how many touches. But they're
going to run their offense to that be what you
football expected to be like the days of Vote. They're
going to run the dawn football and they're gonna throw
to the tight ends. That's exactly what they're gonna do.
They're gonna have a lot of playoftion and number four

(36:14):
in the backfield is going to be a big part
of it. And I don't know. I think it's a
perfect season for LJ because the Big twelve doesn't have
a lot of good running backs. Everybody left last year
in the draft. No one's really looking at that position.
LG has a serious chance to make at the end
of the season. In my opinion. You know the all
Big twelve, you know team as a running back and
put his name in national conversations and on the NFL

(36:36):
draft board. If LJ gets a thousand yard seasons, he
will be on watch to get drafted at the next level,
no doubt. I think that's the next running back that
will be drafted in the next year's draft or the
draft after from BYU. He has to prove it and
stay healthy. But when he's healthy, he's a problem.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Meet some potato style offense. You and I both know that.
I'm a Notre Dame fan. I know that type of style.
Man throw the tight end, run the all. That's one
hundred percent something that BYU wants to work. All right, Ronald,
I want to hit you with a two part question.
BYU's defense and special teams play a big role in
last season. On why b YU was a ten win
team and had that really good bowl win over Colorado

(37:14):
this season, Ken BYU, as their season gets going, as
their offense tries to get on the same page, does
BYU need to rely on their defense and special teams
to win games early or to just keep them in
games as they try to figure out all this offensive
stuff before the mid part of the season.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
That's a good question, you know. When I when I
hear that, I think the biggest thing what you want
to do is it's definitely going to be a meat
at potatoes offense. I think for sure. I think the
biggest thing you want to build is chemistry. Whoever this
quarterback is in this situation. You want there to be chemistry.
You want you want to rely on the basics. You
want your defense because they got a lot of like

(37:52):
given talent. Let's take the defensive line for instance, right
Sana ton of also is going to be in the middle,
justin Kirk Whan. They know, they say it's a little
nicked up injured. You necessarily don't need him back from
non conference. You like him to play just to get reps.
But if you're BYU, you're trying to you know, get
everybody up to speed. You're trying to get everybody confident,
like the outside edguru Mike Hunter Kleck who was originally

(38:14):
committed to Utah And obviously guys when people come back
from their mission, I think they have to resign their NLI.
But it's just you always want to make sure that
the young guys like that Tilly Econmas, guys that haven't
played are getting a chance to feel confident getting reps
because football is a game of attrition, so I think
at the end of the day, you want to make sure.

(38:36):
As Kalani mentioned something that pointed out to me, Kyle
Whittingham said this years ago on a clip and I
can't remember, and it was very impactful. He said, Yeah,
we had twenty two guys that can play, and the
problem was once the team got injured, we didn't have
a full team that could play. We didn't have three
and four in depth. And that's why they ended up
winning the Pacto Championship and did what they did. And
while Kyle Whittingham is, you know, we'll go down as

(38:56):
the greatest coach in Utah football history, is because he
built up a pro rim where it wasn't just one,
two and three guys, it was four and five. It
was walk ons. Like I mean, do you remember the
walk on guy that came What is it? I can't remember.
Zach might have to help me with It's not Tyson Shelley,
but but some kid came in and just wrecked BYU
and it went up there with Zach Wilson, the kid

(39:17):
that was on the practice team. Right. But that's what
Kyle Whittingham's program did, and that's what Kline number trying
to get to. They're trying to get to where these
young guys, these talented guys are up to speed and
can play. Because if someone goes down or if guys
get injured, and it's the twenty twenty three season all
over again, and you're lily playing three walk ons against
Texas on the defensive line and you can't give pressure

(39:38):
to the quarterback or the quarterback is young and he
makes mistakes and turnovers and then you can't get points
off of that. That becomes a problem. Right, that is
what you don't want to happen. You want to have
with this defense and this offense top to bottom, one
through six is ready to go.

Speaker 5 (39:54):
I think you're talking about Jason Shelley, aren't you.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
Yeah right, come back when that was a crazy game
to watch an experience, Oh yeah, it was all right.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Let me ask you this, Ronald. Obviously, BYU ranked twenty
three in the coaches polls. That's obviously coming off of
what they did last season. The ball went over Colorado,
their ten wins, they were right there. They were almost
there for a big twelve championship. They almost competed for
it last season. Is that in respect to what they
did last season? And will they still be in the

(40:24):
top twenty five when season comes in?

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Yeah? I mean when you look at the coaches poll
around the league, and I noticed the coaches, both the
coaches have respect for Kalan and Zutaki and Byu and
the big thing a part of it. And this is
no disrespect, you know to the offensive quarterback and their
pieces that they respect. I believe they respect LJ. Martin.
I think they see Andrew Gentry and they see what
they're able to do in that regard and will and
Laho Writer as leaders and guys that have proven themselves.

(40:50):
I think Asaia job that is gonna make a lot
of noise to this year. Just to let people know
they look at Chase Roberts as the top ten receiver
in the country, not in the big twelve in the country. Yeah,
I said it. That's right. Don't like it, Bite me
with it, but I'm serious. They see that. They look
and they see what this program has done. They see
that the guys that are going to be playing in
the NFL preseason games they're going to get contract. They

(41:11):
respect that defense, and yes it's the leader. They respect,
adding Handa Sonavasa. They like the guys that they have
on that defense. They have a lot of future NFL
talent on that On that defense, they have two linebackers,
they have one defensive tackle, and they got future you know, cornerbacks.
They have future safeties, guys that have an opportunity to
really cement themselves in and to be able to get

(41:33):
drafted and play at the next level. So their top
twenty five team, no doubt. I believe when a people
will come. I'm not saying they're going to be top fifteen.
I don't want fans to take that and think that
I'm trying to be a snake oil salesman. What I
am going to say is, I think because you lose
Jake res Lap, there is a dip, definitely, no doubt.
I will acknowledge that, but I think the dip is
not where. Okay, they're out of the top twenty five,

(41:53):
but I think this team is going to be somewhere
between twenty to twenty five, as they should be. And
I think if you'r BYU, that's a trip on your
shoulder and you show and you go shock the world
improve him. To answer your second question, I don't have
him in the big twelve toile game. I just think
losing a quarterback like Jake ReBs laugh that late and
guys who have not played a snap, I don't know

(42:14):
if you can lean on everything like the ball bounce
Bou's way last year fantastically. I don't know if you
get that kickoff a turn against Kiling Marion in a
Utah game, like guys that they don't get that. They
don't win that game, right, and he's gone, He's not there,
He's at Miami, So you don't have that. I could
be wrong. Tiger Bachmeyer could show you he could do that,
but I need to see it with my own eyes.
I don't need to see it at Stanford. I need
to see him do that, and then I can be

(42:35):
declarative in that. I just I'm not declarative in that data.
I've seen Kaling Mary and I saw proven. You didn't
Darius As didn't get his waiver. It's tough. There's question mark.
So who would be wide receiver four, five, and six.
I think you know who the one, two and three
are already. I have an idea who I think the
four to five and six would be backing up Chase,
Jojo and Parker. But it's just there's a lot of
question marks. And I'm not a guy that believes in hypotheticals.

(42:58):
I've never been that abrew. I believe in proven and
what I've seen with my own two eyes, and to me,
that is the defense. You will have to lean on
them at times, but I think there are moments where
the offense is going to need to step up and
it's just going to be tough. Again our mind people,
I've been on the record. I think they're going to
the air going to that Utah game sick and I
believe they're shock in the world. But then it gets

(43:18):
tough to play Utah, who is out for blood. Kyle
Whittingham is looking this is a Jaws movie. If you're
BYU and you're the main course and Kyle Whittingham wants
to inflict pain, Jason Becken that wants every Utah fan
wants to punish you. They want to see you suffer
October eighteenth, whether it's very personal to them or from

(43:40):
a competitive standpoint of the Robbie and college football, that
game is crazy. Then you got to go to Ames
Iowa and play a good coaching Matt Campbell and Rock
Obeck who is back. That is a tough place to
play in a good program right as Utah they wouldn't
know going on the road. It came down to the wire.
Then you got to buy and then you got to
go to play Texas Tech and TCU is just where
Josh Hoover is out here, you know, dressing up, you

(44:03):
know and having fun like you got. That's a tough stretch.
Like let's be realistic, Like I don't think it will happen,
but you could lose four games in a row, Like
if we're being honest, like that's on the table. I'm
not saying that that will happen, but that's a possibility.
You know, you can lose, you know, East Carolina, like
you could lose Colorado. It's the Big twelve for crowd allowed.

(44:24):
Anything's possible any given week. Nothing's off the table. So
I just think it's tough to say, yeah, title game,
it's tough to bet against Arizona State. Kenny dillinghamm and
them are proven that they're the real deal. I like
Sawyer Robinson and bad Baylor. I like what I see
at Texas Tech. I just I got BUYU in the
top six. I got the top six, top seven. I
just don't know if I can put them as the

(44:45):
top two or three. If they prove me wrong, I'll
be the first one you can play the clip like
joining bing Neucci does. I'll limit that I'm wrong. But
I don't know if I have them in the title
game going against Arizona State or Baylor. And that's not
how I see it happening. I think they go eight
and four if you had to ask me to pick,
and I still think aid and four going to a
bowl game, going to that top Target Bowl in Orlando.

(45:07):
Zach knows happened about that. It's still a good season.
That's that I have happening. I could be way wrong,
but that's my way too early prediction.

Speaker 5 (45:15):
Ron, We'll get you out on this. You mentioned b
why you not making it to the Big twelve Championship
this year? What is your prediction for the Big twelve
Championship and who's coming off on top? Because we talked
about this yesterday a little bit off air, but we
didn't didn't really touch about it at all on air.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
But who you got, I'm gonna run it back, you know,
I think until you to throw in the champs, the
champion of the champs so and his the thing, guys.
I didn't like how the Arizona State BA game ended.
I don't like it from a fan perspective or from
me to perspective. I thought it was horribly done. I
didn't like it. I didn't like everybody's actions that were involved.
All of it was terrible in that regard. I felt like,
you know, everybody could have handled that situation. Officials, you know, players, fans,

(45:55):
I think everybody, coaching staff. I think that we have
to do a better job in college football of those
type of situations. I'm not talking about how people are
feeling in the reaction of talking about how that was handled.
In those things, stuff needs to go better anyway, that's
a different run for a different day. With all that
being said, the champs to the champs Arizona State, not
picking against them until somebody throws them. And I know

(46:16):
that there's been question marks between Okay, well you know
Utah's in there. Let's show them to have a bounce
back season. I just don't think Baylor and David Randa
are going to be slept on when you roll off
four or five or six wins in a row. In
my opinion how I view it, I looked at that
and say, that's the problem. That quarterback who's six', six

(46:38):
who can sling the, football who can, Run like, reminder,
Guys Hilia, robinson if he'd had another quarter to, play by,
You belly probably loses that game Against. Taylor the way
he was coming, BACK i got. NERVOUS i got nervous
as a, fan as a media members said they might
lose this. Game, man he looked so. Great so if
you had to have me, PICK i think that momentum
that they have is. POSITIVE i think a carrier carries

(47:00):
over into the. SEASON i Think Dave randa reminds people
why he's changed a lot of. Stuff he is not
just all about football and. BUSINESS i think Your Big
twelve title game is gonna Be Arizona State baylor IF
i had to, PICK i think that's what it is In.
ARLINGTON i Think Texas tech is right behind. IT i
think they are sitting on a tie break and they
lose one of those games that that doesn't get them.

(47:21):
In but if you're asking me to pick right, Now
i'm gonna Go Arizona State baylor in The Big twelve title,
game And leslie who wins that title, GAME i won't
pick a.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Winner that's a good one right. There i'll give you
that one. Wrong let's get you out on this last
fun one. Here, Okay obviously B yu had their photo
day yesterday And. Wednesday who had the best? Smile who
had the best? Photo of all the guys that signed
up to do? That, yesterday it WITH byu who had
the best? Photo come, on tell us.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
This is pretty, Tough LIKE i, MEAN i, mean it's
really tough to, say because you could go their, brothers
you know that like did certain things, right like their
brothers that took pictures. Together in my, opinion you, know
Like Chase roberts And Preston rex did like the prayer
hand emoji and. Stuff you had the defensive guys like
you had the Town Mapea cousins And Jonathan. Cabeya you,

(48:14):
know you had Canon town Of austin From, acada and
you had H Viill. Puha it's tough to. SAY i
really don't know who had the best. One but everybody
was enjoying, them SO i don't think there was a
specific person they really had a. Photo BUT i, mean
if you're asking me based on toughest, photo you, know Boss,
MOVES i probably would have to Go Jonathan kabaya And
lucy And John, pea like those guys and the way

(48:37):
they they were standing In and if you asked me
to rank, second Probably Chase roberts And Preston renx doing
the prayer hand, emoji you KNOW i and Then i'd
probably go to back my. Boys his third bear got a,
haircut which is a, surprising you, know and they were both.
Smiling so if you asked me to rank, it that's
how the rank. It but everybody was pretty engaged and
everybody was just enjoying themselves. Photos there is a good

(48:57):
opportunity to just get some laughs and get goes up.
Bio so that's kind of the funny. One everybody was just.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
