Speaker 1 (00:00):
A success in life company? What is it you want?
Give your best effort, show me what you got. If
you want to be a success, you've gotta have.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
It's the Burt Fathyany Coaching Shoe presented by Korean Shepherd
Realders and First Community Mortgage. A competitive combo championship results
and here's your host. Jeff Siedle and Order head football
coach Burt Pathyany.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
W MOE and the Molar Broadcasting Network present the Burt
Bathiani Show, which features the head coach of the Molar
Football Crusaders, Bert Bathiani. The show is sponsored by Comy
and Shepherd Reeltors. I'm Jeff Schneiedel class of nineteen eighty
four and with Komy and Shepherd Reeltors, and it's always
great to check in with the head coach of the
(00:48):
Molar Crusaders, Bert Bathyany. Coach. How are we doing today?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Doing well? Jeff? Doing well? Man?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Beautiful weather? This this the back end of this week,
and it looks like weather for Friday night's gonna be
nothing short of awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Well, I think we deserve it after what happened last weekend.
Oh goodness, and we were very fortunate, like so like
I know people around the country are suffering from from
the weather. We were very fortunate for what happened here,
but thoughts and prayers go out though all the people
are struggling.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I know, I saw you out there with UH coach
Pat and and you guys were talking and never one
probably had a hand in was Was there any thought
of moving in or I mean no, not just getting
it in.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
No, there's a we were gonna play that night no
matter what. It was, just it was just the the
idea of like pushing it back, which there was a
little bit of, I guess, some friction from that standpoint,
which didn't make a whole lot of sense on my
part because there's puddles all over the field. It's like,
let's just push it back, sayt NX AND's elder ari move.
They're getting back at half hour. So there was conversation
(01:51):
about that. So we didn't push it back to seven thirty,
which I thought was the right move, And there was
still some puddles on the field, like right around kickoff,
but by halftime it was it was beautiful. It was awesome.
Like I was walking in thinking, can you believe this
is what we have right now? When two hours ago.
It was it was a mon soon. It was unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
And and we're the conditions, I mean, they weren't like
I didn't see a lot of guys like slipping, like no,
you know throughout the game, which you just thought that the.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Field drained pretty well, right, but when you have that
much rain, it's just you know, there's no fear that
can drain that fast. But from that standpoint, but in
my mind, if there's a way where you can adjust
or create the best situation possible, like, let's just do
it right, Like that's what the kids deserve. Like they've
been busting their tails since January, so they deserve to
(02:41):
be given every opportunity to have perfect conditions for what
they need.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Coach, not to play the old guy card, but you
know back in the day when the natural grass and
it had that like hump in the middle. Yeah, and
that was the night just like that was why now
we all's faked turf and it's perfectly fleft. Yeah, and
that's the water just couldn't go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah. Yeah, So we had guys out squeezing and everything,
and you know, credit to Lesa and all the people
helped out doing that it ended up being being really
good by the end.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Of him I mean by the end of the first quarter.
It was it would have anticipated, But there wasn't any
issue with with traction or or anything. It just I
mean from our from my eyes, it didn't seem like
that was.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
An see anything. I don't think there's an issue whatsoever
once we kick the ball and started playing.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
All right, So this week is going to be the
reward of going through last week and the heat and
everything before, because it is going to be a pretty
uh excellent night. And uh, you know what's even more
excellent is rolling in two and oh in the GCL
because this is kind of like the first jewel of
each year what we aim to get taken care of.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, and then the charge the goal you always, you know,
it doesn't matter what support you're in or you know,
what level you're at, your your first goal is always,
right like, beat your rivals. And then when your division
or win your conference whatever that is, that that always
sets you up to get on the right path when
you get rolling into the playoffs. Now, once that happens, right, like,
there's a good chance you're gonna see one of these
(04:06):
teams again, right, and that's when you got to win,
and it's do or die from that standpoint. So yeah,
it's an accomplishment and you're going to celebrate it, but
then you reset right away because your sites are set
on something bigger, you know, near the end of the season.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Well, truth be told, if we go three and oh
after Friday in the league, we kind of play the
extended GCL brothers that are kind of in the family I.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Consider saying ignacious and as a part of the GCL,
even though you know, like we play them every year.
I think we're the only GCS school that plays both
teams in the same season. But that's a that's a
gauntlet of the schedule when you play all five of
those schools back to back to back, Yes, which we
enjoy because then there's no letup. You stay steady throughout
(04:53):
that whole time and it really prepares you for the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
A true Greater Catholic League. Yes, if we want to
call that the GCL, yep with that. But coach on
the line, if we go three and zero, it can
be our thirty first GCL title. You know, myself included,
I know a lot of Moler Nation and alumni just
like to have those bragging rights, put that feather in
our cap with that, and that's what's on the line,
(05:16):
and it's gonna be a great situation.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yeah, obviously, I don't say any of that to like
our players from that standpoint. For us, the message is,
you know, it's just another game, one game at a time, like,
do your job, and if we control what we can
control and handle our business, the scoreboard takes care of itself,
and then after the fact, then you celebrate all those
accomplishments moving forward. But it is huge for the program
anytime that happens, right, Like, it's huge for your football team,
(05:41):
huge for the school, and it's huge for alumni for
the bragging rights, like you said.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, And of course, the Bombers came back and took
care of the Panthers last week, and you know, in
a way, it would have been pretty cool if the
Panthers were undefeated in the league play with that. So
I'm sure the Bombers are now the Panthers' biggest fans
r on Friday night to try to get a hand
than that. But uh uh, it's it's always fun that
we have that nice run of g CL and there
(06:05):
it is So.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
That's the thing is with the gCO, you never know
what's gonna happen, right like, you just have no idea.
You're gonna get top quality competition, You're gonna get top
quality players and go get top quality effort for forty
eight minutes no matter what, just what you come to expect.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
And uh, just a little correction from last week about
the six touchdown passes, Matt did tie the record with
Noah Guesselbrouck. Ye, Noah did it with and over with
the overtime. So Noah has the record with overtime, Matt
has it just with the and And we'll talk about
that epic game from three years ago. It was a
(06:44):
wild one. But uh uh, we'll take a break here
and then we're gonna come back and talk about the
uh ultra wet field conditions at Lasal. But then it
ended up being a pretty nice night for the Crusaders.
As you're listening to w mo OE and the Moler
Broadcasting Network and the Bert Pathy Andy Show, which is
sponsored by Comyan Shepherd Realtors, and we'll be right back.

the Bert pathy Andy Show and go Big mo Welcome
back to the w MOOE and the Moller Broadcasting Network as
you're listening to the Bert pathy Andy Show, which features
the head coach of the Moeler Football Crusaders, Bert Pathyani.
(07:50):
Show is sponsored by Comyan Shepherd Realtors for all your
real estate needs. And I'm Jeff Schneiedl class of nineteen
eighty four and with Comy and Shepherd Realtors, and it's
always great to come back here with our first segment
and talk about last week's game with the head coach
of the Crusaders, Bert Bathyani. Coach. You know we we
we did get a little delay to start. How is
(08:13):
that with the I mean just mentally for the players.
I mean you kind of go through a sequence over
you know, the day, and you kind of gear yourself
up for seven and all of a sudden, now you're delayed,
does it? I mean, does everyone kind of do their
own thing? Do you just tell them to chill and
we get because the warm up got shortened as well.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Correct, Yeah, So we have a saying in our program
it's not a big deal unless you make it a
big deal. Right, So we just have a no flinch mentality.
Whatever happens, we just let it go and we just
rock and roll.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Right.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
The day before we had some stuff going on as well, right,
so we just we just stayed the course. Right. Like again,
it's not a big deal unless you make it a
big deal. And when when friction happens, when resistance happens,
especially when you're on a team, everyone's going to look
to you to see how you respond, and you have
to respond the right way. And that doesn't matter if
you're the head or the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, or
(09:03):
if you're the captains on the team, the leaders at
each position group, they're gonna look at that guy and
see how they respond. And when you don't respond and
just carry on your business, usually that's how they go
about it as well. So we were in the locker room,
guys are tossing the football and hanging out and relaxing.
The one thing that I think we have an advantage of,
and we keep talking about it, but we do play
(09:23):
in ten different stadiums in ten different games, which means
it's ten different schedules, and stuff happens all the time. Right, Like,
the buses are late, so the bus is relate for
that game as well because the rain, right, Like, there's
so much traffic everywhere. You're trying to get four year
o the school buses the mol Aro on time, that's
near impossible. And then we're trying to get all the
way over to the west side, which is just as hard.
(09:44):
So we were on the bus for another forty five minutes, right, So,
but our guys are used to that, right. We haven't
had a normal pregame schedule all year long. That hasn't happened. Right,
Like Princeton, the bus is relate Dwanger, Right, that was
a road trip all the way up there, all the
way up and in the end right East Central we had
the lightning delay yep, Right, so we were prepared for
(10:07):
this moment because of East Central, so it was nothing
new for us. So I thought our guys responded and
handled it really really well.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Such as life and we just got to roll with it.
Like you so you make it as big of a
deal as you want. Just keep it moving.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Don't tell me all rockey the sea is just bring
the ship home, coach.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
This game, while LSU may not have coming in being
the most prolific passing attack, my concern was because of
the conditions and their running game. Yep, and it just
with everything kind of going on. I mean, my perspective
was this has just seemed like a game where everything's
not gonna go right, it's going to go to the end,
(10:43):
something's gonna happen. And while it started out, I think
we did a three and out and so did they.
Then we kind of started getting in gear. They missed
a field goal, we kind of really started rolling and
got that momentum. So hats off to the guys just
getting things in gear in that first half.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, I thought the same thing, like, I mean that
that their quarterback is a really good player. He's a
great athlete, he's a really good player. I know they're
struggling to throw the football, which is is kind of
puzzling because I think the quarterback is really really good.
I think he has, you know, a nice stroke and
he can sling it. And they got some good receivers too,
just some for whatever reason sometimes just a little hard
to get things rolling in this and that. But they
(11:22):
got a good receiver that with the Warner kid who
had a lot of catches against US last year, and
I thought he made a lot of plays, and they
made a lot of plays last year. So we're expecting
that again this year. And give our defense a lot
of credit. They they had a chip on their shoulder
coming off last week from Saint X and then coming
off last year against LaSalle right right, like they had
a chip on their shoulders, so they were metally prepared
(11:45):
for this game. They were itching to get out there
for it. I think LaSalle's defense is really really good.
I think they're a high effort team. I think they
played a lot of speed and a lot of aggression.
So three and out they got after us, and I
think we started off with like negative seven yards maybe
if total offense after the first the first series. But
they're really really good on defense. I think I think
(12:05):
coming in they were the number one defense in the
GCL given like seven points, giving up seven points game.
So we had to create some big plays which were
able to do. And then this guy is rolling but
shout out to Land and Adams right like he took
a Jets sweep along the sideline, gets tackled, separates his
shoulder the game. We throw it to him the next
play and he's running out of the backfield and he
(12:28):
has his arm like almost in a sling, catches the
ball and then after that tackle, that's when he realized
something happened and then he was out from there. But
you know, theo's the type of kids that we have.
They they put their bodies on the line and that
give great effort.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
And that first play just seemed to give us like
the juice of let's now, let's let's roll yep.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
And then the analytics are out there and they're overwhelmingly strong.
Where once you get that first first down, now you
get rolling right like chaos has ensued, right because now
the offense is moving forward, the defense is moving backwards,
and now you're looking at the call. You're trying to
get rolling right like. It's just a different mindset. But
and that's why defense is track three and outs so much,
(13:11):
because the more three and outs you have in a game,
the more successful you're going to be. And that's why
offense track like how successful we are if that first
first down or if you have an explosive play for
twenty yards, you're more likely to be successful scoring points
on that drive.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
And coach, the way the defense was playing, being up
twenty four to nothing at half, you never want to say,
like the game's over, but I mean they kept playing
like they were in the first half, we were going
to be in really good shape. LaSalle was two for
eleven on third downs and I mean that's just that's
just shutting them down. And then I believe they only
(13:45):
had thirty eight net yards rushing coming.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
From they were acagely like two twenty six. I've been
coming into the game right, yes.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
And the conditions you think it might favor the running game.
And you know what a job by the defense. And
that earned the one hundred and twenty ninth overall shutout
for Molar defenses over the years. About that one and
twenty nine. So I think that was our first one
since the playoffs last year. So I believe so. And
just to throw in uh number seven, Maddy p I
(14:16):
mean twenty to twenty four. I mean those are just
those who are insane or throwways, right, I mean, that's
just insane. The completion percentage, I mean, and again it
goes with the offensive line with his skills and with
with the corral of receivers out there.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Yeah, I mean, it's a team effort and that would
be the first one to say that. And you know,
we played really good complimentary football. That was the challenge
that week because the previous two weeks we didn't play
complimentary football, right Like, special Forces wasn't great against Mallard Creek, right,
offense wasn't great against Malla Creek, and then we get
the sane x right like, defense didn't play up to
their standard during that game. So our whole goal going
(14:54):
in the slide was the most complete Molar football team
that we've played all year, and that was the most
compli mentory football I thought we played. We had a
block punt on special Forces, we had a miss field
goal right as well, and then on defense, right like,
they only got in the red zone one time they
missed the field goal. So our red zone offense was
huge and they were five for five scoring in the
(15:16):
red zone. Our defense, oh for one awesome job.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Not knowing that field goal was really their only true
chance to put points on the board for the whole game.
I mean that was early on.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Yeah, and they had an explosive pass play that got
them into that yep, and that leads the points usually
and give our defense a lot of credit. They pushed
them back a little bit, just enough to miss that
field goal. And then going back to the third down.
That was another emphasis of us this past week because offensively,
I don't think we've been great on third down, on
the money downs and extending those drives. And I think
(15:47):
our defense has been doing a good job. But when
you're fifty five percent on offense on third down and
then on defense there you're under twenty, I mean, right,
you're going to be successful.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah. No, that was that was that was very good.
And then of course on a night when the Special
Forces could have all kinds of issues, it just didn't
seem like there were any. I mean, snaps were good.
Things got away, you know, And again those type things
tend to stick out when the weather's you know, and
and and more problems can happen. The ball slick. I
mean that's hard snapping the ball, it really is.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
And we got two long snappers, so Charlie Nelson handles
our punts, and then excuse me, hands our field goals
and then Clayton Crumb handles our punts. And they've both
did a phenomenal job getting those balls back at this point.
Or you didn't even notice in the game and that
and that's your goal, right, you don't want to be
noticed from that standpoint.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Now, if something happens with either of them snapping the
ball this week, it's that's broadcaster jinx. That's my fault.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
That's on you.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
You can just point up to the booth and that's
my fault.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
And I thought our kickers did a really good job
as well, So yeah, give coach McLain a lot of credit,
our special teams coordinator who eats, sleeps, and breathes. It
puts our kids in a great position to be successful.
And then got a shout out Jena Hazes on the
block punt.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Well, I was gonna bring that up. Is his stomach Okay? Yeah,
I hit him in the stomach.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Well, I mean he's just so tall, long, right, I
mean there's a huge surface there where I could hit.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
And you just saw that coming as the amount of
time it was getting to get that ball out of
there for the Lancers and man, he was you know
his six to five frame. You're not getting over that thing.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yeah, and that's what that's the added value that he
has with that length. That's just so hard to like
get stuff around him.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Well, we put the Lancers to bed this year because
obviously they're in the other division or Division two, so
we don't have no chance of seeing them. But we'll
take our break here and then we'll come back to
talk about the Purple team. So we get off a
North Bend road now yep, you know, and we get
a home game, so it's all good. So we'll take
a break. As you're listening to the Bert Bathyni Show,
(17:42):
which features the head coach of the Crusaders, Bert bathy.
Andy Show is sponsored by Comy and Shepherd Realtors and
heard here on w MOE and the Molar Broadcasting Network.
We'll be right back. It's time for another great season
on Molar football and it's always a good time to
buy and sell real estate. Contact me Jeff Schneedle, the
(18:03):
Voice of the Crusaders but also Molar Class of nineteen
eighty four. I can be reached at five one, three,
four eight four zero six sixty six, Go Big Mo.
(18:31):
Welcome back to w MOE and the Molar Broadcasting Network
as you're listening to the Bert Bethyanni Show, which features
the head coach of the Molar Football Crusaders. Show is
sponsored by Comy and Shepherd Realtors. I'm Jeff Schneedle class
of nineteen eighty four coach. We get we go for
the hat trick here in the GCL as we take
(18:52):
on a very formidable elder team coming in four and two.
They did lose a very tough one last week to
the UH, but they also traveled to Cleveland and played
Lakewood Saint Ed to a pretty tough game, so it's uh,
we got a good opponent this week.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah, And that's what this program is built off. Their
build on toughness, they build on an effort, they build on
their tradition. As long as Doug Ramsey's the head coach
over there, you know they're gonna have a great plan,
they're gonna be physical, and they're gonna come ready to
play like that. That's who they are. So not surprised
that it went down to the wire with Saint X,
not surprising went down the wire with St. Ed's not
surprise he went down the wire with st X out
(19:30):
of Kentucky, Right, Like, that's just who they are and
and they're they're ready to be in those games. And
their kids won't flinch, their coaches won't flinch, and they're
they're gonna be ready. It doesn't matter. Right. They'll be
tough on defense, and they'll be very multiple on offense.
And I think coach Ramsey does an incredible job of
making you defend the entire field, but then also defend
(19:51):
all eleven players with all the funky formations they get,
and putting you in these tough situations. So they do
a really good job. Nothing but respect coming from my
way over to the app.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
And anyone who's witnessed or played against Elder, you know
they're they're going to fight you to the end, like
you said, all over the field. So coach, we have
a thirty nine and twenty nine all time record against
the Panthers, so this could be our fortieth program win
against against the Panthers, So in looking to make it
three in a row, as we took care of the
(20:20):
Panthers last year thirty eight to seven. The year before
that we beat him forty two to fourteen and of
course in that game, it was forty two to nothing
at half, and so we came out of the box
quick and got things taken care of. And then the
game from three years ago, which was an absolute instant
(20:41):
classic fifty nine fifty eight and over time, that was
the game where Noah threw the six touchdown passes. But
also of note, Tanell Bryant had twelve catches, but only
to be outdone by Drew Ramsey who had thirteen catches,
and combined they had a total of six touchdowns. Each
(21:02):
had three touchdown receptions, so both quarterbacks also threw for
four hundred yards. It was up and back and up
and back, and it was an exciting game. And that
game was at the same time when you see was
playing a Notre Dame and we still had a packed house.
So people love their high school football.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Well, I remember watching that game because that was at Tiffin,
and we recruited Drew Ramsey and so he was a
heck of a player. I mean, not surprised at all
by his stats or to Neel's stats. But I bet
you know they're thanking God that Bryan's on on our
sideline and we're go ahead. That Drew Ramsey on our sideline, but.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Show up to show up to the others graduation and
make sure they walk down the aisle and.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Get out exactly year. That's what's cool about these games
is you're going to have those instant classics, and you're
going to have those great players that go off and
have great performances, and that's why you're playing the games like.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
This coach, as much as that was an instant classic,
I'd prefer more of.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
A I think there's not a lot of coaches I
think are out there like, yeah, we want to win
fifty nine, Well, we want to win by one no
matter what, doesn't matter if it's two nothing or sixty
six sixty five, Like, no one cares about that. We
want to win. But if you had your preference, probably
don't want to be giving up over fifty points in
the game and then getting those the shootouts.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Right and that uh, you know that that loss. That
was a tough loss. We beat Ignacious the next year,
but then we had to go up and play ADS
and that was the game where we we beat them
in overtime with an interception from.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I think you have like the three Gulies three in
a row that were in overtime, right.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, that was yeah, that was great. Yeah,
and I think uh, I think Noah caught the two
point conversion or the touchdown in the overtime against Ignacious.
I mean, it was just a whole bunch of bizarre
things were happening. So coach, let's just keep everything on
the on the up and up. Uh, We'll save the
electricity for maybe later in the year. So coach, Uh,
(22:56):
always fun to play the Panthers. Uh, it's you know,
Knippert State is a great setup for high school football,
especially when there's a ton of people there, so everyone's
coming to expect a good show.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Oh no, it's gonna be awesome. I remember when I
was in high school, I would I would come to
games in Knippert and I vividly remember Cole Rain and
Elder playing in two thousand and four and I think
Cole Rain won twenty one to three. And that was
when Cole Rain won the state championship. And then my
team played Elder in the next week in Paul Brown Stadium.
But I remember being there and seeing st Exan Elder
in the playoffs playing and it's just it's a classic venue.
(23:32):
It's one of the coolest college stadiums in the country,
and we get to play high school football there and
pack the house. So what a great moment and experience
for all of our players, coach.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Are the are the the days of having like it
an all day event? Are those kind of like now
totally by the wayside. I mean they used to have
the Herb Street Classic. We're I mean literally like I mean,
I think we paid played Lakota East at one o'clock
one day, and Elder and Cole Raine played like later
that day, and there were games in between. It was
(24:02):
just a cool high school spotlight.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
I'm not sure what happened. I always remember being pretty positive,
but you know how it goes. I mean, someone's gotta
be making money somewhere. Assume it's something along those lines.
But I mean, Ironton's still trying to create that classic,
and I think they do a good job, and they're
great hosts over in Kentucky. They do all kinds of
different bowl games and stuff like that, but us like
a two to three game type deal. It's nothing at
(24:26):
the height of what the Herb Street Classic was, where
you're getting teams from all over the country.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
The Skyline Showdown. I think was was you know, all
day event, and that was just that was that was
just fun. It was really cool when people could buy
one ticket and enjoy the day with high school football.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I'm not sure. I think it's just like anything else right,
like in today's it is that like twenty years ago,
like that's what you did, But now there's so many
other things that just pull people's attention and pull people's
dollar away. And maybe there's I don't know. I'd be
the one who would buy a ticket and sit there
all day and watch all those football games. That sounds
fun to me. But hopefully something like that comes back now.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
I'm not that old, but I do remember. I don't
know if I even went to one. But they used
to do GCL triple headers at Riverfront Stadium when when
there were Front Yeah, when there were six teams, you know,
Roger Bacon and Purcell were and so there was a
game like at five and however they did it, and
it was they did a Friday night triple header. And
(25:23):
you talk about you know, someone buying a ticket and
just having fun on a Friday night, that's like, that's
like to the max cool we bring that back show.
Why don't we do that? Huh yeah, I'll spearhead that,
like I got time for that. So all right, coach, Uh,
we're in good shape for elder. Good week of practice
going on.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Absolutely, guys are ready mentally prepared. They're locked in red roll.
We got our bed addiction service now. So the physical
preparation's done. It's now for the mental aspect, which is
probably the most important of it.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
And I would have to think from the Panthers point
of view is let's not let the Crusaders get out
of the box early, because that's what's how up in
the last two years. But from our point of view,
let's let it rip right off, right off the first
toe of the pigskin.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Let's take a one play at a time.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
There we go. That is the head coach of the Crusaders.
As we're in October and the temperatures are getting cool,
and it's kind of like people are gonna to start
bringing coats and sweatshirts.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Now you've got to be excited, so you get to
talk about the weather all the time.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
It's great, it's great. Yeah, it's great. Although although I'm
fortunate because doing the broadcast, I don't necessarily have.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
To experience to talk about it, but you don't have
to feel right.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
So it's twenty degrees and the winds blowing, and you know,
I mean, I just feel so bad being up in
the booth on those days.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
You probably have a hot cup of coffee.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah. Yeah, Well we get figured out. Let's just let's
find a way to play in December. I love it,
you know, snowstorm something, you know, Hey, we'll have all
kinds of things to talk about.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
That's we're about week seven first though.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, well what week at a time. Just take care
of things, so take them as they come. So uh,
fun schedule. Just it's a fun team to watch, coach,
So keep everything in line, keep everybody healthy, and keep
everything moving cool.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Amen, see you guys.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
That is the head coach of the Crusaders, Bert Bathy.
And as you're listening to the Bert Bathy Andy Show
sponsored by Komy and Shepherd Realtors, I'm Jeff Schneiedil class
of nineteen eighty four. Well, we will bring you the game.
If you can't make it to Nippert Stadium, it's a
great venue. Get down there and there'll be plenty of
pregame activities. If you can't get there, you can certainly

listen to it here on w MOE and the Molar
Broadcasting Network as we'll bring it to you and see
if the crusaders get out of the gate quick and
have some fun against the panthers. Thank you for listening
to the Bert Bathyani Show. I'm Jeff Schneiedl, and you
