Shepherd Reelders. And here's your host, Jeff seed Or head
football coach Hurt Paty.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
W Moe and the Molar Broadcasting Network present the Burt
Bathy Annie Show featuring the head coach of Molar Football,
Bert Bathy Annie. The show is sponsored by Komy and
Shepherd Reeltors and I'm Jeff schneidele Moeler class of nineteen
eighty four and with Komy and Shepherd Reeltors handling all
your real estate needs locally around the world and even
(00:43):
in places like Nashville, Tennessee, Coach Bathy Annie, Hey music morning.
Are we gonna have time to sight see.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
When we were not have time to sight see? We
will visit Vanderbilt University. They kind of do what we
did like Notre Dame last year, So to give the
guys just an experience to be able to see another
college campus in the SEC. So we'll do a focus
session down there in their stadium. So hopefully adding to
the experience as they just sitting in the hotel all day.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Long, Vanderbi being very accommodating. Yeah, absolutely, that's awesome. Somewhere
in the distance, I'm hearing on the Road again by
Willie Nelson is we're we're going to travel a crisp
two hundred and ninety six miles to CPA. But we'll
talk about that in our last segment, and coach, uh,
we'll talk about the Trinity game in our first segment.
(01:34):
But uh, you know, what what a night, what a
what a game? And uh uh no, there was never
a doubt, was there. Yeah, never a doubt, Never a doubt, Coach,
it was uh uh you know, it was a great evening.
And uh you know, Trinity came up and uh uh
you know, gave us a pretty good shot. But you know,
(01:54):
the one thing that I was told before the game
that the player we're announcing is number nineteen is incorrect.
The young man's name is Reggie Watson.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Reggie Watson.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And I'm like, okay, well, I'm going by what the
roster that I have, And you know, I don't know
most of these I mean, I know some of the kids,
but you know, here's this Reggie you know, Watson, and
so I'm like, okay, we make the changes. Well, well
I'm glad we did. Yeah, I mean yeah, oh my goodness.
Twelve catches, one hundred and one yards and a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, I mean, it was like he's a stud.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
It was like Reggie Watson, this, Reggie Watson.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
That. So another multi sport guy. He's a baseball player.
He recently committed to Louisville, so proud of him for that.
So he played football his freshman year and then you know,
with the whole baseball circuit in the summer, he wanted
to focus in on baseball during the summer, so that
kind of took up a lot of his time. He
thought he he didn't wasn't able to be prepared for
(02:51):
the football season. But then after the season was done,
he's a coach, I really want to come back for
my junior year. I want to play my junior and
senior year. And we said absolutely. So he still had
a busy summer in baseball, but we made it work
into his credit. Man, he did a great job communicating,
did a great job being accountable to when he said
he was going to be there, he was going to
(03:12):
be there and just did a really good job. And
then once July hit, like mid July hit, he was
all football and he's been a rock star. So he
added him to the list of great multi sport athletes
that we have on our football team. And he's been
making more plays each and every week. So really proud of.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Him and coach. I mean, the wide receiver corps. I mean,
we've taken some hits there, some injuries, some guys that
are gonna have to be out for a little bit.
But you know what, that's the beauty of a game
like football is all of a sudden, there's guys that
can step up and you know, they can be out
there and all of a sudden goodness. I mean, you
come on the scene with twelve catches.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Now, I know he had done some stuff against Mount
Carmel and unfortunately we had the wrong name, but you know,
so it's like, wow, who's that And all of a sudden, man,
he just had that breakout and that that's the cool thing.
You I know, you always say next man up, yep,
And injuries are part of it and these guys got
to be ready, and man, was he ever ready? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah, he's earning trust every single day with his teammates
and with the quarterback throwing them the football. So kudos
to him for taking advantage of the opportunity. And that's
the case with a lot of our guys, right, Like,
we've got a couple guys go down, but it's the
next man up mentality, and you just got you can't
sit there and soak about it, right, Like, you're gonna
play with what you got and you have faith in
(04:27):
who we put out on the field, and it's just
another opportunity for someone to shine when they get their shot.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
And coach, there's no doubt that this is the third
state champion from three different states that I mean we're
taking on you know, I mean we have a challenging schedule,
but that's really how you're gonna find out who you
are and what you're about.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, I think there it's fun to play those games too, right, Like,
no one wants to go play a game where you're.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's over at the end of the first quarter.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, and that's not you know, you go in and
and and it's gonna be a fifty to nothing game,
and you just don't like playing those kinds of games.
I don't think it's good for either opponent, and you
don't really find out anything about yourself, right.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
And then those games you lose your intensity, and that's
how that's how injuries happen. You're not you're not paying
attention and on point, and things happen for both sides,
whether you're the head or behind. And it's tough. But man,
we've we've had we've had three really good games. So
you know, people listening to the end and hey, we
like that for the for the broadcast.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, I'm sure you guys do. I don't really like
how we're playing in the first quarter at all, and
I don't think our fans should like how we're playing
in the first quarter at all. They should be proud
of our team's resiliency and their ability to fight back
and get back up when they get knocked down. But
our message this week has been we got to start fast,
like we have to play better in the first quarter.
(05:51):
We have to play better in a lot of facets
of the game, and that's been the focus this week.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Well down thirteen, fourteen and fourteen and three games respectively.
You know, coach, I mean that's you're you're kind of
playing with fire. Yeah, because all of a sudden, you
get down, you know, another score, and then you know,
crazy things start happening. Everyone starts to panic, They get
out of their element. They try scoring twenty points on
one play and and it just doesn't work. And that's, uh,
that's the crazy part of football. But but uh, now
(06:21):
the other thing is being down to scores and early
in the game, you know there there has not been
any sense of panic either, kind of just stayed stay
true to what we're doing and and we fought our
way back into each and every game.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, no sense of panic at all, I think, even
like with the Mount Carmel game, right like, they scored,
we go down and we moved the ball really well,
and then you just your your your offensive stalls and
inside the red zone we kick a field goal, got blocked,
they down, go score, and then we go score, right like.
So it wasn't it wasn't like we were being like
(06:55):
shut out or anything. But just one play here, one
play there, and it can install the drive. And the
same thing happened with Trinity, where we felt like we
were moving the football and then a negative play stemied
the drive. Right and that's that's the name of the
game on offense, right, whenever you get a negative play,
your chances of scoring on that particular drive go down drastically.
(07:17):
But one stat in the game that I thought was
good for the offense was they never had a three
and out, right, they never had a three and out.
They had nine possessions. They never had a three and out,
which when you gain that first first down, your chances
of scoring increase significantly, and your ability to change the
field position changes significantly. And then that that bodes better
(07:40):
for the defense because now they get to relax a
little bit more, they get to make those adjustments, and
then now with field position, it's a longer distance for
that offense to go.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Are you looking at statistics like that all the time?
I mean, are you breaking everything? I mean all the analytics?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I mean, it's we try to so we have a
plan to win, and there's five phases of the game
that we try to object actively look at and we
present that to our team every single Sunday after the game.
And I think a stat that goes and nosing inst trinities.
We had nine possessions, they had seven, So we had
two more possessions in them, which is significant, especially in
(08:14):
a game like that, where they ran the football, we
ran the football, and possessions or slim. We were able
to gain one more possession because we deferred and scored
at the at the end, scored right when we came
out after halftime, and then we stole a possession on
the outside kick right, so we were able to steal
two possessions, and that that that ended up being the
(08:34):
difference in the game, right, because we ended up scoring
on those two possessions as well. And then the other
thing that you forget to look at is the average
starting field position. We beat them in by fifteen yards
on that right, they had two drives starting inside their
own five. They had one starting in our territory off
that bad kickoff that we had where we gave up
some yards and they got they crossed fifty. They score
(08:55):
on that drive. But then you look at our offense,
we had three drives starting in their territory right, so
we had uh the on side kick we had to
pick by Kuzo, and then I think we had another one.
I forget what happened, but we had three drives starting
on their side of the fifty yard line, and that
just changes the course of the game. So when your
(09:16):
average starting field position is fifteen yards greater than the opponent,
good things will happen for you offensively.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Coach the stat I like us, we're three and zero
coin flips. It's the same person called. Do they call
until they they don't win?
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Or do We've been the home team twice, we've been
the home team all.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
That's right, So so we haven't called it yet.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
We've been the home team all three times. We have
been caught it yet.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Also, now we have to call it today, so the
streak could be in jeopardy.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
I mean, if you want to have that negative mindset, No.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I'm just I'm just saying no. I mean, you know
we're you know, I look at I mean, my stats
say you got a sixty eight percent chance winning. If
you're gonna flip, call the flip. So do we know
what we're gonna call before we even head out? I don't.
My guys do, So it's all is up to them.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Yeah, I know Jordan was always Taiales never fails, and
he always did that. That was always his mindset.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
But I don't know what they guy and we don't
have to say names. But will one person take the
lead on it or is it? Or is it literally
the group of seven and like four versus three.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Like Ben who goes out there's probably usually I would
I don't even know. I would think it'd be Matt
Tyler or Krishner doing most of the talking. Like the
linebackers is usually so intense and looked into the game,
like Stokuzo will probably just think about it.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
No way those guys are Are they intense? In no way?
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Cooper Cooper will go out there. I think those are
usually the guys that kind of take the lead on
it by the guests. But no, it's not the term.
You get that.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Figured out, all right. That's what wraps up our intro.
But we got a couple of great segments coming as
you're listening to the bird Pathy Andy Show, which features
the head coach of Moeler Football. Bird Pathy Anne Show
is sponsored by Komy and Shepherd Realtors. I'm Jeff Schneedle

(12:00):
to w MOE and the Moler Broadcasting Network, specifically the
Bert Bathyani Show featuring the head coach of Moeler Football,
sponsored by Comy and Shepherd Reeltors. I'm Jeff Schneidel. I
am with Komy and Shepherd Reeltors and of course with
the class of nineteen eighty four Molar High School. None better.
Always great to catch up with Coach b here as coach.
(12:23):
We we kind of talked about it the Trinity game.
They got out to a fourteen to nothing start. But
how big was that that we finally took the zero
off the board at the end of the first half.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah, that was huge. Give and that what people forget
is those are college goalposts, right, like, yeah, smaller than
the high school go post. So and we were down
Grant Emory or holder in Grant is an unbelievable he's
phenomenal with the operation.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Tyler jumped in.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Yeah, he's got great hands, he's got great savviness of
using the cadence to his advantage, and he gets the
ball down. And let's be honest, right, the kickers and
quarterbacks are really particular about who they're throwing through her,
who's their holder and stuff like that. So you get
two guys that work together in a long time, right,
and then you have a quick change.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Like that that that's that's.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Significant, right. So Tyler Joson goes out there, awesome job,
just mister accountable. So getting that three points at the
end of.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
The half was huge jack drawing that through. You know,
kickers sometimes are a little different breed, you know, at
all levels, so keep an eye on them. Have it. Yeah,
absolutely well and and honestly, the only time that really
gets a big mention is when they it's not executed correctly.
And you know, we try to shout it out because
I mean that you know that's not easy. I mean
(13:37):
a snap, you gotta get it, you gotta get it going,
you get kick away, pressure situation guys guys coming after it.
So so coach, we kind of alluded to it before
but you know, we scored at the end of the half,
and we get the ball back right away and able
to put more points on the board.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, we got bailed out on a third down with
a penalty, which which helped us out quite a bit, right,
And then you know, we had the opportunity we we
and we hit Tyler out of the backfield for a
big play and that led to that ended up being
the touchdown. So I think now it's like, all right,
we scored right like, and that's the first time someone
scored a touchdown on that defense here right right, So
(14:15):
like the give.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Up any point? I think we got three.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, they didn't give up any points. Now get you
get the touchdown, and now it's a fourteen to ten game.
And that's just a completely different mindset from that standpoint.
And then and then we kick off and I believe
that's when we got the pick, and then we scored.
And then on side kick and then we scored, right
So we fumbled after the onside kick, but just a
(14:40):
wave of plays.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Was just I mean, like it was I believe it
wasn't a helmet like to the ball like under as
as Sam was kind of you know, kind of going.
I mean he just I mean he took a big hit,
is what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
The defender made a good play, but our receiver needs
to block his man and and not let him come
off to go, you know, take a shot on our
tight end, right, because I think if we just if
we do our job and execute and block our assignment,
Sam walks in for the touchdown. And so you look
back and you don't want to pass blame or anything,
(15:14):
but just a lack of execution on our side from
a fundamental standpoint of CPW and then a fundamental standpoint
of perimeter blocking, just maintaining your block and not looking
behind you. But we have the guys in there and
get better, which we will. And it was unfortunate, but
give Sam a lot of credit. Now, give the quarterback
a lot of credit right to go back at him.
(15:36):
And then Sam ends up scoring the game winning touchdown
on a phenomenal catch right awesome. So couldn't be more
proud of him of his response. And we ran the
football really well in the second half, and a lot
of that had to do with Sam and his down
blocks over and over and over again. I mean, we
ran the clockout with five minutes of spare and we
ran behind Sam quite a bit, So I hate that
(15:59):
play like he's he's more mad about that play more
than anyone. But give him a lot of credit for
his response the rest of the way and not letting
that effect his.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Absolutely, it's how you respond to some adversity with that.
But no, absolutely, he came back and answered a big time.
And also, you know, Matt had three touchdown passes, but
even more so, twenty three to twenty nine, that's pretty
that's pretty efficient passing.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
He made a lot of good decisions, really good decisions,
and they got a good defense man. I think their
secondary is fast, they're aggressive, they don't really give up
a lot. So it was kind of hard to be
consistent in the passing game early on, but we found
our rhythm and Matt made a lot of really good
decisions and getting the ball in the right places to
(16:42):
those guys. I think the best thing he did was
just be impatient and then taking what they give you
at the right time. So I could be more proud
of how Matt has managed the game the last two weeks.
And I think offensively just and as a team, we've
just found it different way to win each week, and
that's kind of been I guess that's a good thing
(17:05):
from that same point, like, it was a defensive battle
week one, and then we ran the football decently well
in the first game, and then the second game we
had to throw the ball to make it a ball game.
And then this past week it was a combination of
quick throws and running the football. So we'll see how
we play this week, and you know, we'll see what
off we.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Can do it all. So Watson scored the touchdown to
put us ahead. Sam put the touchdown and put us
up by ten, and then Trinity gets their drive and
they score with just over five minutes to go, and
obviously a really key part of the game. We kept
the pig skin and we're able, and I mean, I
know we got that huge first down. It might have
been just by you know, it was a couple of
(17:47):
pieces of pig skin there, but it was more it
was a first down.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
They measured it, but you can see that from the sideline.
That was the first down all the way.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
But we're so little hesitant, sy I mean, all of
a sudden, if you have to, you know, we were
going for it. Yeah, Okay, we.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Were going for it to play going for it, No doubt,
we weren't putting the ball well.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
And again that's even a different thing that we had
to do as far as run, run out the clock
yet a meaningful first down, handle ourselves, keep our composure,
you know, I thought it was a pretty clean game.
But then when I went back and kind of looked
at the stats, I think we had seven penalties. I
think they had six. I was kind of like.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
They had eight penalties we had seven because they were
complaining quite a bit about the officiating, but it was
pretty equal. I thought the rest called it pretty a
pretty equal game from that standpoint, But no, I think
you're right, Like I didn't realize we had seven penalties either.
I remember theirs because it gave us a first down.
We had three significant penalties on critical situations where they
(18:42):
allowed us to have a first down. So I can
get the frustration from if I put myself in their
shoes from that standpoint, but we had seven penalties as well,
So pretty equal from that standpoint. But we got to
clean a lot of things up. I don't think we're
a finished product whatsoever, but it's much better to teach
through the victory, right like you much rather have that
(19:03):
than the other way around. But one group I want
to really give a lot of credit to is the
offensive line. We had a lot of different pieces moving around.
Pat O'Brien was had a phenomenal game and he was
playing multiple positions throughout the game. David Leonardi had to
step up and play position that he wasn't used to playing.
(19:24):
Doesn't have a lot of reps invested in that position.
Jace Montgomery making all the calls at center, doing an
awesome job. And then a sophomore correct, he's a sophomore
and he just picked up his first offers. Well, he's
a phenomenal player, great leader. Couldn't be more proud of him.
This is his first year playing on line as well.
But then our guards stepping up, like you have Victor Marshall,
(19:44):
you have David Leonardi was playing guard as well, you
have Josh McCarthy, and then Cooper Atkins stepped up as well.
I hope I'm not missing anyone off the top of
my head, but those guys did an awesome job. So
they battled, they fought right. There was times where we
it wasn't as clean is what we want it to be, right,
we still got to do a better job in past
pro and protecting the quarterback for longer. But I was
(20:07):
really proud at their grit, their resiliency and their ability
to adjust and adapt and just and just play the game.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
And I know you've said off the mic that you
really like this this group offensive line and they're you know,
and they're young, and uh that that they're only just
keep getting better and uh, of course under the tuteligit
coach Blum. Yeah, that that's uh, the expectations are high
and he always delivers, so it's always good, good stuff.
So that's a process.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
So our guys are gonna keep getting better each and
every week. And we have a young group, but we
have a talented group. And I think it's the same
thing on the defensive line too, right that you have
Christian Harris who's the main stay, and you got Indy
gross Cough and you got Charlie Nelson who are the
seniors who have more experience. But then Carter Matthews is
coming on the scene, and we have some young guys
who like the sky is the limit form and with
(20:53):
their growth and development as they're getting better each and
every week, that that that unit is going to be really.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Strong senior leadership there and some young guns coming up.
So that's all good stuff, all right, So Trinity, are
they back on the schedule next week? Do we have
a return our next next years, we'll be going down there.
So we'll be heading down there, so a lot more
less than half the distance. We'll be heading out later today.
So and by the way, coming up with this trip
(21:21):
to CPA, I've already gotten calls today where's the Coach
b Show? Because we're driving and we want to listen.
Can you imagine that I'm calls from people. We're not
going to mention any names, but you know that was
early this morning and questioning where is it? This? Was
it my mom and my mother in law. No, no
it wasn't. Someone who has the same name as you.
(21:43):
It's a little older. No it wasn't. But I'm sure
they're wondering too. But we're all going to listen to
it on the way down. So all right, let's let's
take a break, we'll come back. We'll talk about the
trip to Nashville coming up. As you're listening to the
Bert Bathy Annie Show, featuring the head coach of Mueller Football,
that is Burt Bathy. Any Show is sponsored by Comy

w mo OE and the Molar Broadcasting Network and you're

every week by Comyan Shepherd Realtors, leaders in real estate
locally across the country even globally. I'm Jeff Schneiedgle class
of nineteen eighty four Molar High School and also with
(23:15):
Comye and Shepherd Realtors. Always great to catch up with
Coach b And this week we as we mentioned, we
take that trip we get to kind of you know,
head to Louisville and go directly south down to Nashville.
So first time I think we've ever played in Tennessee. Really,
I believe so. I don't think. I know we played
Montgomery Bell but that was I believe that was it.
(23:36):
I believe that was its Centergy not Centergie Field, the
Bengals Stadium, yeah, whatever whatever it is now, it wasn't
Riverfront Back. It was like two thousand and eighty around
there you go, there you go. So but I believe it.
I'll have to I'll have to research that before the
broadcast tomorrow as far as with that. But but it's
always cool to go to a new venue. It's a
(23:58):
younger school. I think it started Night Team eighty five,
so they don't have, you know, maybe the history like
we do, but like we don't have the history that
some of the other schools that started in eighteen hundreds,
but looking forward to a new venue and didn't know
anything about CPA and what to expect, Well.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
They got really good football done in Tennessee. Now they
do things a little bit differently where they do have
a private school in a public school state championship and
then there's two divisions, so there's a number of really
good schools down there, and CPA has done so well
in their division that they've been bumped up a level
very similar to Mount Carmel because they've won some many
state championships in a row. So they won it last year.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
I think glad that was the first time they did
back to back. I believe.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I didn't know that specifically, but they were back to back,
and they have a phenomenal football team. They got a
big time quarterback. He's got a great arm. They're running
back is dynamite, he is shifty, he's got speed. He
runs the ball really really hard.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I think he ran for a couple hundred yards in
their state t.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah, I think he had like over I think it
was like three thirty six. It was the number that
he had in the state championship. But they have they
have really good offensive line with good size and length,
and I think three of them have Division one offers.
And then they got a really good receiving core too,
led by their their number one wide receivers committed to Alabama,
who's really fast. I think he ran like a ten
to seven to five one hundred meters dash. So for
(25:23):
those that don't know that's that's that's pretty dang fast, right,
Like that's in the Jordan.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I don't know if I were at ten seven forty yard.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
That's in the Jordan Marshall Carson, Hobbes, uh Lamont Cox
area like that. Matt Fogela like that's like, that's how
fast that is. And he's got a younger brother who's
ran a ten seven six, right, So they got really
good size and length on the outside. They they they
have a really good defense that that prides himself on
effort and they're gonna they're gonna do what they do,
(25:53):
but they're gonna fly to the football and they're gonna
they're gonna give everything they have. So we got to
work cut out for him, work cut out for us.
We're on the road down in Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
We're always on the road, so what's a big deal.
It's a big deal. And now we were staying over
when you.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Add the trip and yet it just is a lot
of newness to the trip, which is good. So what
I like about that is there's a lot of distractions, right,
So using that as a platform to prepare us for
the future for other games that we might have or
in the playoffs, Like, there's gonna be distractions that pop
up in your life all the time, and you get
to learn to block those out and block out the
(26:31):
mechanism and then still perform the task at hand. So
I like putting our guys in this position to see
what we got. And it's our it's our coaches and
our players responsibility to block all that noise out and
then focus on the task at hand and put out
a good product for our ourselves and our football team
and our fans.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Coach, just like last year, the team going to Notre Dame.
I mean, it's a it's a little different venue, but
but Vanderbilt is such a tremendous school. Obviously they're an
SEC program. Uh, They're gonna have a lot of cool things.
And that's what a great experience for the kids just
to just to go see a different campus and and
kind of get a glimpse of college life for real yep.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
And they get to spend more time together When we
do our end of year review, all of our guys
love the trip to Notre Dame. They love the long
bus trips with their teammates. Right, soys, coaches, you get
been out of shape thinking are we in the bus
too long. But these guys love it right, Like even
when we went up to Campton, I mean that's three
and a half hours away. We went up there first scrimmage,
(27:29):
and we went up there for just a senior trip,
and our guys are in the back just having a blast.
So I'm really glad that they get to have that
experience together because these are the moments that they're going
to look back on and remember. They'll forget the scores,
they'll forget the stats, They'll remember how they felt on
the bus of their teammates.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
There you go, and coach, well, we get a well,
we get a return trip from CPA. Now will be
coming up next year? Yepky good yep. And then my
final question is did we reach out to them or
did they reach out to us?
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Shoot, I can't remember. I'm sure it was playing me
reaching out to them, just just the nature and everything,
if I if I had to guess, But Coach Martin,
the head football coach down there, they're in the same
situation as us. They have a hard time finding games.
So he kind of reminded me of me when I
called and reached out and asked if they wanted to play. Uh.
He jumped at the opportunity right away, right, There was
(28:23):
no hesitation whatsoever. So those are usually the teams that
that we get right. Like the same thing was true
with Mount Carmel. The same thing is true with Eds,
Ignacious and Saint X and Elder right, Like, when we
find a game, we say yes right away and we
want to play right because it's just so hard to
find games.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
So oh, we know, we know five, six and seven
is GCL and uh, and then you know we have
Ignacious and Eds on the schedule and and uh getting
those first filler games. But we'll keep everything going with
Princeton as well at the start of the season. So hey,
we got those, just a couple fill ins we need.
So we'll look forward to going down to c PA,
trip down to Nashville. Who knows, maybe some country music
(29:01):
stars will stop by. They might want to they're a
picture with you. Do you think about that?
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (29:06):
I don't know about that. Maybe maybe they want molar gear.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Huh. We can work that out.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
We'll get in. We'll wear it proudly on stage or
in music videos whatever. Hey, you do it.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
I think Barrett needs like a molar cowboy hat.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
I think that would My goodness, you know what, you know,
you know what.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
What I need to have is big like that. When
you have a name like Big Mow Barrett, you need boots,
you need a belt buckle, and.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know that's not gonna be the problem.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Hat.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Getting a cowboy hat to fit around that crane is
the issue.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
That'd be a big issue.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
I mean, I guess that would be what one hundred
gallon hat. I guess when you.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Think when you have the name Big Mow Barrett and
you're in Nashville, that's the look like you gotta have
that look. You gotta have a cowboy hat, you have
a belt buckle, you have boots.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
I'm not big on social media, but I think I
saw some clips of him already down there this week,
down and down at the venues, uh, you know, doing
some line dancing, and that there might have been some
injuries around them for some other people. And John's okay,
all right, let's let's let's close this out before before
it goes way off the rails. All right, the Crusaders
head to Nashville. We're we're heading down later today and
(30:14):
I know people will be listening on the way down
so safe travels and those who can't make it, tune
