one and all to the.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Calcil Podcast, where we have fun, fun, fun even when
we're being serious.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Every single week with our music stories and weekly special
guests from all walks of life. All of us can
use a break sometimes take a breezer, right right right, Well,
if that's proof for you, then you have a rived
at the right place at the right time. So we
want you to sit backing back and escape with us

(00:42):
and to our world of harmony, laughter and tom foolery.
So let's get to it. Here's today's episode of the Castle.
So yeah, you, y gang, we just finished our set.
We're here on har We guys owens Owensboro and are

(01:03):
arms tired. So that just finished. Here's the fun we've
been through.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Can't wait.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
So two days ago, we're innocently waking up the drive
to Wisconsin. If you are shown that night we had
a knight at the Wisconsin Ate there we all woke
up to a knight.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
All yeah. One of people who don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
What we're talking about. Wisconsin was blood and blood and bad.
I hope everybody's okay there. I could come and feed
in some spots. Tunnels there's a lot of tunnel got
that there. People were, you know, trying to make their way.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
To the parking lots and things like that, and they
were all the way up to their chests and water.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
All that's happened on that team.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
So we were distraught. We're having a night off and
we hadn't a cracker barrel.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Get it out of our system. Had top there.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
We had a quick meeting. He said, let's make for
four hundred miles drive to Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Let's go to Owensborough. Oh greed. And although we went
with an extra night all and it was cool. We
went to the movies Jurassic Park, Jurassic Partner, The Reaper,
who was that? That was fun. A lot of the
Lord Dern h Richard drive this. A lot of the
early guys weren't in this one. This was a separate

(02:21):
story because when they were talking about the movies we
saw earlier on, it's so long ago. You're like what, yeah, yeah,
like this is like, well when we discovered the donors.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Was thirteen years ago, and I'm sitting there going because
I'm me and I didn't go to school, and I'm like,
what you know, I miss something?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Thirteen years are going.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
To happen Jurassic Park five and six. Yeah, I was
thank god.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Just so you know, dinosaurs still and not catch humans
in these movies.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
They get right through their gel and the humans.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Knows because every time, I mean, I would not think
to yell run if dinosaurs coming out of it.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
But that's what they can watch box and watch me.
Here's how it goes. I'm the dinosaurs, run.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Run they dinosaurs.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
So yeah, but my point to the whole thing off,
we have the day off, day off. Oh, we ate
a lot of that. Yeah, but anyway, I did want
to let everybody know. And this isn't really getting anything away,

(03:35):
just the background. The subject to the movie is they
found out that some of the dinosaur blood it ran
through the machine that breaks down White Brand and all that, Uh,
you can save humanity because of their blood to try.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
And save him in and also just so you know,
and it appears that they have an incredible natural sense
of direction in this movie because these folks get separated
a lot in a place that I never could have
gotten out over into and they've always managed to come
around the corner and find each other.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
And we made and the green thing about the movie
is that the people that do get eaten by the
dinosaurs are people you want to get eaten, except for
the person.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
By the way, there is some very graphic dinosaur beatings
of people.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
To be aware of you, I'm sorry to tell today.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
The big announcement today is that the Cocaine Green album
Wow is released.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So that's the fine demonstration. I'm going to think you
this is my show and tell what it's like.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
But it is out to him. We're proud of it.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah. God, it's a.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Recording from the late seventies, omnivores running out of our product,
but we still have the alcapella and a boxet to go.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
God bless them that put everything out. Every lot of
were up on the US. But what we really love
is when our podcasters comes to the show. And I
had this on the last episode, but it stayed in
my bag, and then we came we were home, and

(05:14):
then we came out here, and so we made sure
we brought this number one Couco podcast band number one.
We saw somebody out in the audience today who had
a big billboard. Very cool. You see this. You just
wanted to tell joe Ane we got your car, let's

(05:40):
take you.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Parents and quick business. Okay, isn't this Let's go down.
We're going to be September third of the Kennedy Plaza.
Martin are on the board, working board, walking in Atlantic City.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Still really excited about that because it's mysterious too.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
With the opening and called the Weeklys, we're gonna love them.
They're kind of a sixties medle band. They even changed
the Weekly to d PP the the Beetle hoofs, So
we love that.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Then we kind of fun to play with.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Him and see what that's what kind of cooled man.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
We love Carmen and Dancy and be buy and it
is what to be.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I'm pretty sure it is so everybody. If I spoke
on that free issue, he apologize, walk House.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, here we are. Hey, my sipper was down in
the shape. Okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
So when the Boks go out they have a plenty
of the guys and think that and Troy will tell
you about that seas how they go out there when
the councils are performing and they they're privately preat and
they check their sios and then go out and it
gets kind of and we always kind of come around it.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Who would not and we always say, oh, wow, wouldn't
that be bunny of one of them were down, like
they forget to get it up or the Nike I
already shipped. And then it went to the opening apps.
I was up there, and you know, I felt something
different or some kind of weather going in there and
and and so I turned around real quick and I

(07:18):
realized it was down. Nothing I could do. I had
a Harmony Park coming up. So I turned back to
them like and made sure I was staying right center
and window and then I had a break, was able
to zip it out. But boy, I thought I was
thinking that my zipper down. And I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Until I do the turn intertings and I did.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Sounds it's nothing you as bad?

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Paul, went you for this night with the super down
therap and nice, I thought, went anyway and not even charge.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
God, I'm like, hey, there's a lot.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yes, And I know these boys don't remember because they
barely knew I was there, believe me. But when we
were kids and we would get together to play outside,
usually there was a group being one potato to potato
would have to happen or something on the batthands would
We were all be in the circle and they'd let
me just be there, and I was eyeball level with
all the reply, so I would just kind of watching.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
I just kind of go around. They never finch. I'd
sick them up on.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Well, I have done that. I have done that at
least three times on Avenue. How could you know? I counted?
Excuse me, at times I didn't zip it up to

(08:46):
the set, but the boys saw you're right.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah, I don't miss anything like the band.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
They actually know I'm ball. Yes, yes, a lot of
people don't know that. There.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Let's see a picture of the front of me. Ever
saw the fact of me? No, they think everything's cool. Yeah,
it's not. It's the rate and area of growth.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
It's all in and we don't want to forget our time.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Well, we're on it right now.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yes, we're on the podcast on podcast number one eighty five.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Listen, here's what's going on inside right now. Our show
is going on.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
And we realize, you know, how we are snow days
and all, and so we really really felt coming back
out on this like we really.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Want to try and make that hitwork producing.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
So we're here now. Of course we ran out of
time today and what did they say? I think that
was fine idees, So I'll take the credit.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Let's continue down our caution two generary of the councils
in this autumn man On September tenth, we are on
the Armington Music Hall. It's the Trio show, the very
popular and new council Tredo show. It's a big hit.
It's a big hit. We have Q and as we
have a lot of stories, we had songs. Okay, so
we have that and then we have.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
A work creos you know swing October thirty of Fort
Morshington Library, Island. October thirty first, we are conne Square

Speaker 1 (10:07):

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Be there will be.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Square Trio December fifty oh shot a trio show well
at the main.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Street crossing in Tambo. Next to this year you go
here you go the last weekend you were talking about
where tumble is that all trios. Yes, it's fourth drill
shows in a row. Yeah, we are pre obeying ads.
And then we have a weekend coming. It's not down there,
but in February at the Umber where oh.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
You may sweaters from Island on the twentieth Variety on
February twenty First, I'm Baby, got back to Times Square
the very next.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
What are you going to be for Halloween?

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Overste Come on Square, New York City.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
On Larch March sixth eight. Hot in the Grass the weekend, Now,
this is the weekend with us. Friday night is a
fund raising little thing we do for your song. So
we hotop and visit. Maybe we'll be classic helps again
most right Ei there, Saturday's the show. Sunday in honor
of Billow Days, I'm doing a pump set all through
the Coby Joint in the river. Pump says platform.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
They might not.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Want to be in my pump set, fine, but I
know Paul will ye're uh. And then Monday morning breakfast
and then we're all out of here. That's that's a
how many grace kind of ober are we on?

Speaker 1 (11:37):
There? On that same Monday? On Monday we can go
home that night or the next morning.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
If we don't want to take a late flight, right
we have a one to breakfast right on. Okay, so
what else up the cruise? We have the flower Power
Cruise Park twenty eight to April fourth. We have Sat
Throwing on the River, the Beatle Vegetable May twenty third,
twenty fourth of the Saturday.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Sunday, and then the next time we together the summer
is Pus and the Sceptmber Night. It's a trio soho
I forgot.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Because it's brand new character on that word.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
We're up.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Today's listen to some listen. Little Anthony's going to sing
and I got to cry. I probably once a night,
actually try all day, but I love the time to
crying of the Little Anthony show.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Yeah, the things that you know.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
That second funny, we can share a funny every summer
we share this vibe with you. It's called the August
five where we're champing kind of feeling what people are
starting to wonder and no one can't say anything.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Everyone's tired. We experienced it one year and that first
year and and I can tell you it is apullable.
It's because because we were in that should, we were
in those shoes, and we were pulled literally that we
weren't coming back. But they don't do in a row,
even though we're on our eleventh in a row. But

(13:07):
but so we know how tough it is, you know.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
And what they usually do is like they don't tell
anybody over because.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
You don't want to tell out here coming back. Think
of the fun, think of the math. It's our first solo.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Now we think we're not coming back. That summary, you're
still going to wait a year after that, a.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Two years kind of two years over kind.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Of that you're going to deal with if you're not
right right, because you're gonna go through summer and winter,
that summer over.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
And then Gary started coming back every year, remember that.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Every the we're going to get there. But Mark, actually
Mark Bullman who Flowing Eddie, did tell us after I
think the second year we were out here, we were
going all the way, we'll come back, you know, and
then he said this tour will never go without ouch.
So that's a very nice thing.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
And that's after four years of Yeah, the great flip
and there was a great audience turning it's down. They
were trying desperately the whole night we heard they had
to tell us every year it didn't.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
So we have. But eventually our guys are Fruit Broad
and Bark and Howard, and how just said, well they're coming.
He kind of pushed their issue and they went, well, okay,
we'll see how this goes. And it's gone. Well, it's
gone drinking. And you know the other thing I want

(14:39):
to spend was I think we've been to the movies
more times this summer than any other summer.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
And and and we saw they could gone, they could.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
And so when we go to the movies, it's very
exciting for us because it's a night off and we
know it's not a school night, and we know we're
gonna go and we're gonna get you know, the popcorn
and the guns at the race and as the junior
bits and and and a large drink. But when we
went to seat, taking your gun, it wasn't that at all.
We had to go to our seat and they said

(15:14):
even an order from like a waiter or a waitres,
some menu, a pup menu. No, you know, the menu
was great and all the food was spectacular, but man,
we're sitting there and we're almost done with all of
our food, and all of a sudden, I watching the
movie and this head comes right up in the front
of you goes, hey, are you going to play?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Are you?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
But for a ole of it?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
And so when the guy comes in and is it right?
Really great food with remarked so but but but last
night we were happy because I checked the place out
and it did Saint.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Bar and krill and and I was thinking, oh my gosh,
here we go again. But but in one of the
pictures it said refreshments. You know, the signs were as
big as the lobby, so I knew we were gonna
get pop quarny the touch of at the movie theater
with the pub. God, we are eating the best ways

(16:08):
it's not you'll see all the happiness and you if
you're in a.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Something's off setter and so now and it or not.
We now popcorn for years and I ended every time
I go to organ and it's butter, which is a chemical.
But anyway, ticket, we're happier with our allowed to popcorn.
Pjurassic movie, then we were not wait over a big gun.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Well, and I will just show you the difference between
the two because I go in hungry easily. And so
the first show, my bill was forty eight dollars because
I was loving food.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
The second one was like about twenty three, So that's
a big dip. It's not because in the first experience, Yeah,
you pay for your movie, but that's its separate parents action.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Now you go in and now you're in the rest. Yeah,
because Bob It's turned to me on that night and
he looks at me because man, now that fourteen dollars.
I thought it would be a lot more expensive. I go, man,
this is great. Well they can't they can get Yeah,
let I gotta tell you. I had a soft prestole
that was so soft, actually I had to and man.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
They were for the not incredible probably yes, at the
chicken wings up.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yet here's the thing. Incredible.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
When I go to a movie, I don't want somebody
walking in front of me. But what excuse me, excuse
me unless they got a peak. Yeah, yeah, boy, don't
you want anything.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Else that We were going to get one of each,
but we decided that I were tired of looking at
the guy.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
So you know we were going to order again coming back.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
No summer is flying. Yeah, we have all founded.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Sixteen show left shoween.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Well no, now now it's sixteen. But for the cow sils,
but we all know what happens out here. It's fifteen
because we're not going to get to play that show
at the at the Bow Casito. We don't like I'm saying,
they don't like it. They don't like a little baby song,
A little baby song, Susan, Well, the whole it was

(18:10):
on the records. They sit down here and that we
do the records.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
It's great, anybody a lovely night off.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
We always consider interviewing the crowd and for a podcast episode,
I'm pass going to the floor when you can see
we always make some vehicle and lots of so we're.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Thinking about maybe doing something that we'll see. We're still upset.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
They have a guitar in the in the building with
our signatures on it, So why exacting that people, Baby,
We'll sneak in and take our picture in front of it. Listen,
I want to sell the one funnest thing that we've
thought of doing. We're just going to our own show,
sitting in the front round the first three seats and

(18:55):
during any break in any of the other acts show, just.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
To there. We have a lot of good ideas that
could really get us in trouble because they they did
only what do you call it? You know, they didn't
tell us that we were bad and that we couldn't
come back. If if our guys pushed it, and that
we did come back, maybe we cancel the whole happy

(19:19):
together now and we can't let that happen way more
than it does. Look funny when the only five acts,
you know, because I looked to the book and I look,
we are not on you know, theod We're not in
here on that right there. So you see the boats
are opening up, and uh, it's a trend.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
There's still a little bit of bumps the word around
it though, you know, you can see if we're talking
about it, and I know that there's so many letters
after this particular night.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Hey, where were the cows? Hey? And seriously I came
to see the council. I didn't know who they were there.
They don't take it off up there, you know up
there avertising gruesome. Yeah, I think there that is there.
They know we'll bring people in, but they don't want
to there there. We have a podcast. Oh you listen,

(20:10):
don't forget. We have a radio show. Okay, the Council.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Oh Calcil Promo Snday nights nine in the River, Download
the Gap.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
It's a it's an extension of the podcast. Okay, it's
a lot of fun. It's different.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
You love it different, my Cecilia, we love you, Bitter
Pittering Kenny podcast signs.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
We'll put them up here. Reson I take us a while, but.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Could I just say one thing and my signs tonight,
if you're going to bring a time you want to
hold it up. Remember you're trying to reach older people
on the stage with lights in front of the ross,
bright colors. You think, good, we're going like this. If
we can't redesign, how God, we don't want to see
Is this.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
The one that was reflected? But this is Joanne. But
it's important because when you were holding this up to me,
here's all like that right there like this, and I'm like, yeah,
but I don't know what you got it.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
I saw it after there we are, Joanne says he
is our number one fan, and she goes, oh sucks.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
You know she's getting on our good side. Yeah, we're
happy for the Yankees and what's going on with them
for you?

Speaker 1 (21:25):
If it comes off.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Girl girl, Okay, hey, so listen, we got to get
back into the show.
