Today, we're diving into the romanticside of the Bible, discussing the top
(02:59):
three famous couples, and of coursewe'll be sharing a bit about our own
love stories too, So grab acup of your favorite beverage and let's get
started. Before we jump into ourlist of famous couples. Let's talk about
why we decided to rebrand from StrangerClock to the cross Files. Great question,
Jerry. We fought the need fora name that resonates more with our
(03:21):
focus on exploring the deep narratives ofthe Bible. The Crossfiles podcast aims to
unravel the stories that intersect at thecrossroads of faith and humanity. And what
better way to kick off this newchapter than with a Valentine's edition. Now,
let's get into the heart of thematter. The top three famous couples
(03:42):
in the Bible, starting with numberthree is Jacob and Rachel. So Jacob,
as we all know, is oneof the patriarchs of the Bible,
and he does have a hard workinglove story. And if anybody has ever
(04:03):
been patient for the right woman,it would be Jacob. What do you
think, Michael, Yes, it'san amazing story if you read through how
he met Rachel, wanted to marryher, ended up having to marry her
sister first, finally ends up withboth of them and has a huge,
(04:25):
big fiasco with his father in lawand has to like get out of there
and with all their kids and theirsheep and their goats and just the all
the drama. It's a really entertainingkind of a soap opera, but it
is it is romantic to think ofhis patience to wait for the right one,
(04:46):
right right definitely, Like how manymen out there would forgive their father
in law after he was told thatafter seven years of working hard labor,
that he would be able to marrythe woman of his dreams, Rachel.
And then then he was given theolder sister, Leah. And then so
(05:11):
he goes up to his father inlaw, Laban, and he's like,
what's up? Why did you giveme Leah instead of Rachel. This is
not what we had an agreement for. This is not our bargain, and
or that's not the agreement. AndLaban said, what's customary for the older
sister to be married off, andthen the younger sister, Rachel, will
(05:32):
be married off if you work anotherseven years. That is so. I
mean, how many guys would workfourteen painstaking years to be to be to
marry the woman of your dreams, the woman that you love. I mean
it has to be the patience ofGod and the perseverance and the unconditional love
(05:54):
that he had for Rachel in hisheart. I mean that really shows the
amazing love which is patient kind, not bost full of rude or jealous or
self seeking or easily angered, orkeeping any record of wrongs, not delighting
and evil, but rejoicing in thetruth like in One Corinthians thirteen. That
really shows the love that he hadtowards Rachel and obviously loving his enemy,
(06:17):
I e. Laban, his fatherin law. I just thought that was
an amazing story and so thank Godthat there are not multiple marriages. And
Michael, I'm sure you can empathizethat wife, one beautiful wife is a
dove. Yes, folks, youwant to get married, you want to
find the right one and marrier, just like I did with my wife Jennifer.
(06:41):
We plan to start a family andgo to Hawaiian That's exactly what we
did, and we had even amiracle take place. If I can share
the story really quick. Absolutely,we have so many interesting characters in the
Bible that have a romantic relationship. But if you've ever lived in the world,
(07:02):
which I'm assuming most of us have, who are listening, unless you're
listening off planet from some perfect world, this planet is full of all kinds
of drama, and I would recommendagain reading that whole story with Jacob and
Rachel and Leah and that father inlaw situation, because I went through some
crazy situations with some in laws thatjust turned to the dark side of the
(07:26):
forest, and bless them, Ilove them, I forgive them, but
I had to move on. AndGod introduced Jennifer to me, and we
decided to buy land in the BigIsland, even though we both didn't have
any money at all. But wewere dreaming and we saw this land for
sale and the Big Island next tothe volcano. We were targeting marketing,
marking these different spots and like, let's we're gonna get married and have babies
(07:48):
and you know, barefoot on thebear feet running around the grass was the
vision that we had and which weended up doing, thank God. But
as soon as we declared publicly thatwe were going to get married, that
very moment the volcano exploded. Itwas full all over the world news.
(08:09):
We have a podcast dating that exactnight that we did that show. I
think it was with just with eachother. We just went live and we
were talking about our plans. Sowe felt very connected to the Big Island,
Hawaii, and we ended up doingeverything that we said you were going
to do and then we ended upin Smoky Mountains, North Carolina. We
(08:31):
have two kids, and it's justlike when you think back, you might
be like super busy in your life, but if you think back, Wow,
God really leads couples and gets youthrough tough times good times. And
the most amazing thing is your kids. And look at all those twelve kids
that came through Jacob and his wellwives and handmaidens. And that's not the
(08:56):
way to do it, guys.Still an incredible thing to think. That's
where the twelve tribes of Israel camefrom. Was this wild dramatic love story.
So no, no marriage is perfect. Of course, you have to
work at it. And we hada conversation with Brandon earlier about BT about
(09:16):
Valentine's Day being you know that SaintValentine's Day was beheaded. That was pretty
funny, how romantic, very romantic. Yes, for all of the headhunters
out there, this is your day, right you, Jared, do you
want to share anything about what's not? And I met Ted? Yeah,
sure so. Ted and I actuallymet through the internet. We met on
(09:41):
the internet site called One and Onlydot com O n E A e O
n l Y dot com. Andthis is back in two thousand and one
in February. So Ted and Imet each other there because we were obviously
looking for the right one and Iwas on that website as an online dater
(10:05):
or whatever you want to say, probably like a few years before I met
him, and it was free tojoin, but not free to be the
initiator. So I joined in probablytwo thousand and I uploaded a few picks
of me, and I was twentysix twenty seven or so when I started
on my dating and I thought tomyself, I'm going to pray. I'm
(10:28):
going to pray in faith that Godwill bring me the right person through the
Internet, believe it or not.And even though that I hoped against all
hoped, I did not think Godwas going to answer my prayer. I
did not. In fact, Iwrote actually a list. I wrote this
list of all the things I wantedin a Christian husband, and I just
(10:48):
put it away in my desk.I didn't think God was going to answer
my prayer. And I actually laidmy hands on the computer screen, and
much like this, so I laidmy hands on the computer screen, I
prayed, I prayed and I askedGod to draw the right person, you
know, into my in box.I guess my online profile and so Ted,
(11:18):
believe or not, he did notupload a picture, so I did
not see what he looked like oranything. He just happened to say that
he was He goes to one ofthe largest churches in Sacramento, and automatically
I knew Capital Christian Center. Iknew it, and that was more of
a charismatic church and not necessarily achurch that I started going to, but
(11:39):
I knew of it, and Iwas a backslatine Christian and I wanted to
get right with God. I waslike, well, hot dog, if
he goes to this Pentecostal charismatic churchit's more not a nominational now but a
Capital Christian Center, than I thinkthat this deserves its a date. We
should go on a date. SoTed and I met at this uh California
(12:03):
pizza kitchen, this restaurant in Sacramento, and it was a little awkward.
He didn't know me, and Ididn't know him, you know, he
didn't know me for me even Ididn't know him from Adam and a little
awkward and uh, having pizza withhim you know. But I thought,
oh, he's he's very cute andvery you know, a good Christian man
and a lot of the things thatI was looking for. And so one
(12:26):
of the things that we did wasafterwards was we went to see that movie
Castaway. And this is this isreally awkward. So how would you like
to go out a date and thenspend the next three hours in the movie
theater with this person you don't evenknow? So uh so I watched,
we watched Castaway, and three hourslater we're like, okay, you good
(12:46):
seeing you, good night, blahblah. And and then I so the
next we went on a couple ofdates after that, and then I'm sorry
to say I I thought I thought, well, I'm not sure about him.
Really, after two three dates afterI was like, gosh, I'm
not sure one hundred percent. I'mjust going to explore my options, right,
And this, I mean, that'shorrible. That's probably like the anti
(13:09):
Valentine thing that you want to hear, right, But nonetheless, I was
like, I wasn't sure about himat first, so I emailed him to
break up with him. Believe itor not, isn't that horrible? I
was a horrible person Michael. SoI emailed him and said, Hi,
Ted, you know, I reallylike you a lot. You're a great
guy, but I just think thatwe need to, you know, see
(13:33):
if there's somebody else perhaps, youknow, that might be a better first
at first, at first, okay, that was that was the beginning,
okay of our relationship, was mebreaking up with him via email. Okay,
but then you know, he didn'tsay anything or whatever. And then,
uh, but so fast forward. So that was in February of oh
one, and then fast forward toJuly of one. That whole time,
(13:58):
I thought, gosh, Ted wasa one guy and you know, these
other dates and I went on,you know, just didn't seem like we
really fit together. Whatever, youknow, wasn't they weren't compatible with me.
And I thought, you know,Ted wasn't awesome, a wonderful guy,
and I think I'll give him anotherchance. So I called him up
and we went on a date Julysixth, and we've been together ever since.
(14:20):
And here we are. We've beento get together since O one.
We got veryed in two thousand andthree, and uh, we've been together
ever since. You know. Wewould have loved to have kids and god
knows, we tried, but wedid not have any kids. But that's
okay, you know, we wehave we actually sponsored children overseas through Compassion
International. But he's kind of like, you know, we we fit together,
(14:45):
you know in terms of uh,like you know, we're opposites attract
you know, like I'm really outgoingas you can see and here, and
and he's a very introverted guy, very extroverted. You know, he's more
analytical and more motive, you know, that type of thing. You know,
so we really we really fit together. You know, like if I
was his carbon copy, like ifI was a Teddina, that would not
(15:07):
be good, you know, tohave both people you know kind of like
really analytical and calculating and you know, things of that nature, you know.
Or if if he was you know, like me, like a Gerald
or something, that would be kindof scary, you know, like like
imagine me was like really short hairwhatever, no makeup, like like like
no, just kidding, Like ifhe was a teddyin of he if he
(15:31):
was a Gerald and like my likemy carbon copy, that would not be
good either. You know, wealways need somebody that's opposite, you know,
but but not when it comes tofaith. When it comes to faith,
if you're single, find somebody whoshared your same Christian faith. If
you're not a believer yet, Ipray that God that you would receive Jesus
in your heart, become born againand invite Him into your heart, repent
(15:54):
of your sins, and God willbring you. When you grow in the
Lord, read the Bible, Hislove lite to you. And eventually the
God will bring you the right womanor man. And it's it's worth it
to wait, like Jacob, youknow, for this person. Hopefully not
fourteen years or seven years. Butso Ted and I actually we were dating
(16:15):
for one year, got engaged, and then we're engaged for another year.
So we were together two years beforewe got married. How about you,
how long was your engagement? Ohwe were crazy. We're just like,
let's just get married, let's doit, you know. Oh cool and
that with everyone. But we workedout, well, well that's awesome,
just like jump off the jump offthe bridge together, you know, like
(16:36):
we knew each other through all ofour mutual interests of Christian mysticism, of
kind of preparing a little bit forthe end time and and just living your
life by faith and but I that'sthat's one of the things about this podcast,
the Crossbows podcast too, that reallyhelps our flow because in a lot
(16:56):
of ways, I'm way more spontaneousand chaotic and let's just do this now,
and whereas Jerry is very very methodicaland very careful and very organized.
And it's just been amazing that toactually set into a third year here to
be able to talk about something ina structured way with even organized preparation as
(17:18):
we have already. So it's socool, awesome. So I really appreciate
just the way that God brings justdifferent personalities in his body. And really,
I mean, the greatest Valentine iswith the Lord, is the Church,
the Bride with Jesus Christ, youknow, and he's put us all
in the city, the New Jerusalem. We're all we all kind of jointly
(17:41):
fit together and help each other toAnd by the way, I love Ted.
I was so pleased to meet himand to have lunch with you guys.
Briefly. Oh, we really enoyedmeeting you. That was really cool.
Yeah, he's you guys are areally great couple. I thank you.
You're a power couple. And it'sjust cool. Oh, that's so
cool. I appreciate that, Bro, and they happened to come to the
(18:02):
restaurant where I was working part timetoo, so that was all also a
strange Stranger Clock, as we usedto call its rights. We're getting more
and more Christian here, so Iguess I mentioned Jesus and the Bride.
We did Jacob and Rachel, andyes, what is the third romance that
we want to touch upon in theBible? The second romance that we wanted
(18:26):
to touch second? Okay, right, the second romance. Actually, before
we get onto the second top romancein the Bible, I wanted to also
say I really appreciate you, Bro, and thank you for mentioning me and
mentioning our show in every one ofyour podcasts. You know when you talk
about your spirit for us and yousay is listen to us, listen to
(18:48):
Strange Clock podcast everything. And Iappreciate your spontaneity and how you're willing to
go live every night almost and youknow you share whatever God laid, God
has placed on your heart. AndI really really appreciate you and Ted and
I really enjoyed meeting you, andthe only thing that would have made our
meeting better is. If Jennifer wasthere, I would have loved to meet
her. And it is so neatthat she and I have this in common.
(19:11):
We both have degrees from Liberty University, and she had an MTIV master's
in divinity in theology, I believe, and then I have an associate's degree
in psychology and I'm ten classes awayfrom a bachelor's in psychology, but that's
on hold for now for various reasons. I'll get into that later. But
yeah, it's interesting how God bringspeople together. Michael Life. I think
(19:32):
I was so blessed to see whenwas it in twenty seventeen a picture of
you and your beautiful wife and yousaid, surprise everybody, I'm married to
Jennifer Jennifer Rimel Basham. And I'mlike, oh my gosh, that's so
cool. He's gotten married. Sothat was a blessing to see that that
I was kind of in your timelineof like I got to know you in
(19:55):
twenty sixteen, and then I thinkyou got together with Jennifer in twenty seventeen.
Never get it was well, wewere online dating in twenty seventeen,
married in twenty eighteen, so wejust got right to work. We're just
like, let's just get married mega family, you know, we just
we're still kind of like that.I mean, that's why you didn't meet
(20:15):
hers. She was working. Wewere both working. We both work extremely
hard and then we rest hard andwe enjoy life with babies and goats and
the former bunnies all and the chickensare there? Are they former chickens as
well? Or are there down toone chicken left? One chicken? Last
(20:37):
chickens decided to become a goat sothat he can survive better. So oh
no, he's basically always with thegoats. But you're homesteading, so you
and your beautiful wife are homes havetwo acute, super cute kids and have
goats and used to have bunnies andhave one chicken. So pray for his
family, his animal family and ishuman family there everybody? So anyway,
(21:02):
So let's let's go to romance aBible romance number two. And who was
that? Michael Ruth and Boaz Ruthand Boaz. Okay, So I saw
Ruth and Boaz in the theater playLives ten and I in Tennessee, not
last year, but the year before, in twenty twenty two. We saw
that and a Bible theater, andI know it sounds hokey, like a
(21:26):
Bible theater, Biblical based theater.Hok. You know, it was awesome,
it was beautiful. It was adinner theater, and so it was
really interesting. Back then some ofthe customs, like here, the custom
is, you know, you meetand fall of love and then and then
the future son in law will goover to the father and ask, you
(21:48):
know, can I you know,we have plans. You know, I'd
like to marry your daughter. Imean that's that. I mean even that
is formal. But in the Biblicalhe break time, if a woman wanted
to show interest in man, shewould actually believe it or not, she
would actually like sleep at his feet. So I just love the story of
Ruth and Boaz and so I soeven though like with Jacob and Rachel,
(22:11):
I read the story a few timesand everything, so it's it's in my
head very very generally. But thisis like really like it's fresh in my
mind because I just saw not thattheater play. Plus pure Flix has a
Ruth and Boas story and so that'sfresh in my mind. So what's interesting
about the Ruth and Boaz story isthat Ruth she became a widower, and
(22:41):
her sister in law and her wereMoabites, and the Moabites were idolators.
They worshiped, I believe, Mullick. And so if anybody knows about Mollik,
he demanded the life or lives ofinnocent babies. So definitely a brutal
(23:02):
religion where they would sacrifice their firstborn to Moloch. And so Moloch was
this stone, big, huge, they carved this stoned like bull god,
and and then they put like kilnsor like fire kilns in his arms and
(23:25):
then they would they would put thebabies, you know, into the fire
literally, and so anyway, soso that's what she grew up in.
That was normal. They if theyfelt like if they sacrificed their first born,
then their crops would succeed and prosperand what have you. If that's
the truth, If if they infact seem to be quote unquote blessed by
(23:45):
sacrificing one's first born for prosperity andwhatever, I mean that that sounds like
totally debonic, right And anyway,so sometimes you know, like the enemy
or demons, could you know,do signs and miracles and things like that,
you know, as as counterfeit ofthe true God and his blessings,
you know, like I mean, thank God that you know, yeahweh Jehovah.
(24:07):
Jesus doesn't require that, you know, He just wants us to,
you know, to love him withall our hearts, soul, mind of
strength, you know. Anyway,So back to Ruth. So, Ruth
grew up in this Ruth and hersister in laws so, but their their
mother in law was Hebrew Naomi. And so Naomi, I think her her
(24:29):
husband died. And then I thinkher sister in law's husband died. I
think her name was or By believe, I don't know, I forget.
Uh. So, so Ruth. So, Ruth's husband died, so she
became a widower as a young woman. Uh and and so so then Ruth
said, you know, look, you know all of the husbands have died,
(24:52):
you know, and there wasn't evena rumor going around that they were
cursed by God or the oh.Actually no, the rumor was that among
the bites they thought that that thereason why their husbands died was because Naomi
was not a mollabite, as shedid not sacrifice toll like, uh that
she you know, because she wasshe didn't do the sacrifice to their gods,
(25:15):
that that that was the reason whytheir gods had cursed you know,
their husband. So it was atotal lie anyway. But they were like
almost like pointing the finger at Naomiand you know that that so even though
that might that's implicit in the Bible, I guess you know. So,
I mean, given the biblical background, that's probably what happened, is that
they you know, like murmured andyou know, complain, well, no,
(25:38):
wonder why this has happened to you. You don't sacrifice to our gods,
you know that type of thing. So and so not only another insiduous
part of their religion was the sexritual. So they would go to the
temple like they would like I guessthey were like the ver like I believe
that the virgins would go up tothe the Little Bite temple and then wait
(26:03):
for like someone I guess, likeone of the fallen angels to like appropriate
with them. I think, youknow, like doing the Genesis six thing
or either that or they were thevirgins were told to go there and to
like wait until like one of theone of the men chooses them to and
(26:26):
once they once they copulate, thenthen she could go home. I mean,
it's just it just sounds horrible anyway. So uh So, anyway,
so Naomi said, you know, look all of our husbands died. I'm
going back home. But then Ruthsaid, well, you know you're your
people will be my people, YourGod will be my god. And so
(26:47):
so, so her sister in lawdecided to stay behind, and Ruth followed
Naomi back to I forget the nameof the land anyway, so Ruth followed
her back home. And then andand so the way that that Naomi and
Ruth you know, had something toeat was they would go and they would
(27:08):
pick the the uh, the wheatI believe, uh And and they would
pick the wheat and for to makebread. And so Naomi had said,
oh, by the way, Ibelieve, I believe. Naomi had said,
oh, by the way, youknow, you've you've caught the eye
of my kids have been redeemer.Boaz and so Boas had uh you know,
(27:32):
was asking about about Ruth and andhad I had given her like gifted
her, you know, like wheatand stuff. And now if if this
is inaccurate what I'm saying, becauseall of this is coming from memory.
All right, oh, thank you, thank you so much. Bro So,
so then Naomi felt like she shouldtell Ruth, you know, look,
(27:56):
look you should you should, youknow, sleep at bow As his
feet and see, you know whatwhat see what happens Basically, you know,
maybe God will give you favor. And so that that's kind of a
weird way to show that you're interestedin somebody, Right, ladies, go
show up at somebody's you know, house that you're interested in its sleep at
the foot of the bed. Right. So, but that's basically what happened.
(28:18):
And so back then, I guessBoas was was sleeping outside and then
uh so Ruth came to sleep atat bo As his feet and then he
he he, you know, wakesup and then he and then you know,
they married, they get married, and so it was it was a
blessed union. You know that theywere both believers, you know, she
became a believer, and she wasthere with her her lovely mother in law,
(28:41):
you know, and and it wasa I guess I guess Boas was
a little bit older than her,but it was a blessed union. And
so it was a beautiful, romantic, you know type of you know,
biblical story. So that was numbertwo and number one. Thank you so
much. I just read it forthe first time and was just blown away.
(29:02):
There's so much to it. Butwith the interest of time, I
think we should definitely get into thenext one. Which story really stands out
to you as the as the numeroRoman. Well, I think that Adam
and Eve a story, Adam andEve story is where it all began.
(29:26):
I think that would be the numerouno one. What do you think.
I think that is literally Roman, right exactly. So tell me about any
revelations about Adam and Eve that youhave. There's just so there's so much
(29:48):
to the idea of God letting Adambe on his own for a while,
naming the animals, finding out thatwell, there's nobody here from me,
and and who knows if there wereother preademic races. We don't know.
I mean there's possible, there's that'sa possibility in my mind, But for
(30:11):
sure, there wasn't a god breathedinto his nostrils kind of companion for Adam
and for a woman to just bemade out of his flesh. It didn't
even say God had to breathe intoher nostrils. We don't know. There's
a lot of mysteries there, butit was very much just okay, here's
your companion. You guys are goodto go. And of course they're like
(30:33):
naked already and they don't have anyshame, and it's very innocent. It's
just pure innocent, childlike just we'retogether. I mean, who knows if
they even had I guess they wouldn'teven have gotten pregnant. I don't know,
Like there's so much in the Biblethat we just don't know. But
of course it's amazing how you seeright away the need to overcome this.
(31:00):
Hey, what's with this woman? You gave me God it and she made
me do this and then blah blahblah, and I mean you see the
blame game going on right This isgood advice for you couples out there and
to not not do the Adam andEve thing you did. But you know,
you, like, that's the veryfirst couple in the Bible, and
(31:21):
I think that's something that we don'toften celebrate, is how we come through
things and how Adam and Eve obviouslythey stayed together. You know, there's
even a love story there. Whoknows if Adam realized that his wife now
took the fruit and she would beseparated. I mean, there could even
(31:41):
be there. I've heard this theorythat he wanted to stay with her and
that's one of the reasons that hetook the fruit, was like, I'm
not gonna let her go without me. I don't know. That's another big
maybe there. But there's a collectthere's a lot of interesting things there.
What do you think, what's onyour heart about Adam and Eve? Well,
(32:06):
I think Adam didn't have a bellybutton. Somic isn't that romantic?
The only guy on the faces ofthe earth who did not have a belly
button. No, I'm sure there'smore. So believe it. There's been
like church splits over whether or notAdam had a belly button or not.
(32:27):
It's like, really, of course, it's so crazy. Oh it's so
ridiculous. So anyway, back toAdam and Eve. So imagine I always
imagine, right, so did havea belly button? Who's with me?
(32:47):
I've got a photograph right here? The first baptistable, Adam had a belly
button. Methodist evangelical snake by Churchof America. That's where I'm I'll call
it. Right. So Adam, imagine Adam and like he's totally alone with
the Lord, with God and hadfellowship with God, you know, walking
(33:12):
you know, in the garden andobviously named all the animals and everything,
never saw another human. And thefirst human that he's ever made is this
beautiful, perfect woman, you know, And and he's like, wow,
this is a lot different than anyother animal or any other thing I'd ever
seen. God. I mean,I bet, I bet that they probably
(33:34):
had not only like physically genetically justlike perfect everything. You know, they
weren't fallen yet. I mean allof us from who's listening to this podcast,
and we're all fallen. We haveyou know, effects of the fall
in our genetics and in our bodyand whatever, you know, but they,
I mean imagine being completely perfect, you know, like body, mind,
soul, spirit, you know, connection and com communication with God.
(33:59):
No demon and no fallen angels, you know, just holy angels. I
mean actually pardon me, sorry,no, actually I take that back.
No, that that the fall Ithink preceded Adam and Eve, right,
because the serpent, you know, was slithering around, but the serpent had
obviously went up to them. Sopart of me, the fallen, the
(34:21):
the fall of the angels had hadher I believe occurred beforehand, from what
you know is implied. So yeah, I mean everything, but but before
the fall, nonetheless they were everythingwas was perfect, no, at least
that they couldn't at that point beforethe before eating of the fruit. And
and I have to refrain, wecannot say apple. A lot of it's
(34:42):
a misconception to think that Eve,you know, plucked the the apple that
you know, a lot of peoplethink that that Eve and Adam ate an
apple. And that's why they feltthat that was the furthest thing from the
truth. And the Bible does notsay that it's an apple. It is
a fruit of some kind I imagine. And like God getting you know,
you're in a perfect state, youknow, completely body mind, cell spirit,
(35:05):
with God, with each other,no arguments, not you didn't do
the dishes today or whatever, youdidn't fill up the gas in the car,
honey again, nothing like that.It was just just perfect union with
each other and with their creator, with no you know, no poison oak,
you know, probably no flies,no no mosquitos, no mosquitos,
(35:27):
Okay, that that rights it rightthere is like Chaer perfection. So anyway,
and then so when that happened, you know, and it's so weird
to think how so even Adam, after Eve had eaten the forbidden fruit,
that there was a that was thefirst time that they had the disunity between
them and their spirit and their bodyand everything. And like you said,
(35:54):
he didn't want to lose her,or that's one of the theories that he
didn't want to to not have youknow, he did not want to be
the leader of the home, theloving leader of the home and say no,
I will not take this. Sowhat would happen to humanity if he
said no, I will not takethis this fruit? Eve? You know
this is wrong, you know,I mean, I mean, the whole
(36:14):
trajectory of the world would be insuch a different way completely. You know,
I don't think I think, Iguess Eve would be fallen. And
but I mean, if Adam sleptwith Eve and had had a child,
is that child partially fallen partially not? I mean, I don't know that
that would be kind of interesting tokind of conjecture, to kind of speculate
(36:37):
on if Adam didn't fall but Evedid, but that could be like the
subject of a sci fi novel orsomething a biblical sci fi novel, you
know, who knows. But thatother thing to get into the strange o'clock
narrative of the Cross Files, thepower of the cross is such that it's
as if we never send the memoryobviously will be there of God's death for
(36:59):
us, son sacrifice for us.But it goes almost to rewrite the whole
sorrow of all the death and eviland everything. That God doesn't see that
through Jesus Christ anymore. So there'ssomething to that actually about multiple timelines and
multiple multiverse and whatever quantum theory thatnot erasing history, but that God only
(37:22):
sees his son through us. Sowe don't live as long as we're under
Jesus Christ. We don't live.Even Adam and Eve no longer live in
that original sin. Can you believethat? I mean, there's something to
this. I think that we're goingto be getting to in our Cross Files
episodes. Definitely. I love howyou drew that. Yes, I love
(37:45):
that very good Agent Michael might befun getting into these shows. We're going
to interview Eli mar Zouli and allkinds of people that you would normally expect
to be on conspiracy focused podcast, but we're really trying to shift it into
the redemptive work of Jesus Christ withregardless to all that information. So I
(38:07):
think it's gonna be really fun.I think it's really really absolutely absolutely.
I love how you had drawn thatparallel between Adam and Eve and the Adam
was the first Adam, of course, and Jesus, the scripture state,
was the second atom who perfected hislife, you know that, So Jesus
(38:27):
lives a perfect, sendless life anddid what Adam didn't do. And that's
how I believe that. It alsodraws a parallel to the Cross. And
I when after Adam and He fell, one of the pronouncements was Adam and
Eve's offspring, which is a prophecyof Jesus. At Adam and Eve's offspring,
(38:51):
he will crush the serpent's head, yes, and the serpent will strike
his heel. So that was likea prophecy or an analogy of how Jesus,
who is the offspring of Adam andEve had crushed Satan's had, you
know, and defeated defeated Satan atthe cross. Uh, And and how
(39:14):
how Satan, you know, hadbruised his heel is the son of Man
was bruised. So so what Jesus. You know, before Jesus was on
the cross, he was bruised andbattered and beaten. So there was like
a prophecy of what was to happenat the Cross. And of course,
you know, thank Jesus that hefor his birth, death and resurrection and
(39:36):
so and it's interesting how we tiedthat with Adam and Eve. So that's
that's a question. I didn't seethat, honestly. I mean, we
did prepare a little bit of script. I should say, Jerlyn really helped
to get all this together, asis your great gifting, But we didn't
thank you for respect. I didn'tplan. I felt like God did want
to bring that out because this isactually the first official episode which us speaking
