(00:03):
Hi there, stranger, clock fansand friends and foes and anyone in between.
It's Jerry again. So you neverknow what a day might bring.
One day you're having a normal lifeand the next thing you know, then
a health crisis or financial crisis orrelational crisis hit you from out of nowhere,
(00:27):
like a curveball that the enemy throwsat you, or just circumstances throw
at you. And how do yourespond to these things? I know that
when I come up with a messagefrom me to you directly, it's usually
because I've gone through something, goingthrough something, or about to go through
something, and it's teaching me alesson in humility, kindness, compassion,
(00:52):
perseverance or what I'm like, usethe right lane to Sorry that chatting too
loud here. I don't know whatthe setting is to turn it off or
turn it down anyway. So mylatest thing is that my sweet, precious,
dear husband Ted is going through enormouspain and difficulty with his kidney stone
(01:18):
issue. So he had never hadkidney stones before, and in fact his
family, almost everybody in his familywould have kidney stones, but he would
not. And then he always thoughtto himself that the reason why he doesn't
have kidney stones is because he exercises. And that may be true that exercising
(01:41):
and clean living and dieting and whathave you has has kept it at bay.
But eventually the kidney stones has caughtup. His genetics has caught up
to him. So anyway, hewas hunched over. I mean, he
is the picture of health. Imean he before a year ago, he
would exercise six seven days a weekand eat right for the most part,
(02:05):
doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. Idon't judge people who do those things,
but he doesn't do those things, and very clean living guy. And I
struggled to keep up with him withhis exercising in fact, and so anyway,
so he and I used to judgethis ex boyfriend that I had,
which I was used the right thingto take exit. And so this ex
(02:30):
boyfriend that I had would hatch kidneystones on and off, on and off,
on and off, and it wouldactually prevent him from keeping a job.
Like so this ex boyfriend of minemany many years ago, little late
nineties, early two thousands. SoI was with him ninety eight ninety nine,
(02:52):
and then we broke up January totake the exit or early to merge
onto Florid, does Turnpike south towardMiami. Okay, so I guess you
all could hear about so yeah,to Florida, everybody Turnpike south. Hush,
whish this GPS would shut up.Anyway, I guess I should have
changed the setting. So anyway, sometimes the best way to for me to
(03:14):
chat is just when I'm driving andthinking, because I thought to myself,
you know, I really really justneed to share what I'm going through.
So anyway, back to the judgenot lest you be judge things. So
I used to judge my ex boyfriendfor hatching kidney stones and thinking, oh,
he's being over dramatic. It's notthat bad or whatever, and you
know, he was addicted to vikeit in and oxy contin and what have
(03:36):
you, and and anyway, sonow that my husband, you know,
basically twenty four years later, ishaving issues with kidney stones, I am
definitely not judgmental because my husband isa very hard worker, very responsible in
eleven miles complaining of excruciating pain thatI know that absolutely this is not something
(04:01):
he's being dramatic about. And anyway, so all the things that go on
in our lives usually are because ofother people's decisions, your decisions, or
circumstantial things that occur, or yourbody somehow has some sort of ailment to
(04:25):
it or whatever, and God wantsto heal those ailments and diseases and infirmities,
but for some reason, you stillhave them, because of whatever reason.
And I know that there's this wonderfulsong by the Afters. I believe
it's the Afters, and it's calledwhat If. I believe it's called what
(04:46):
If God? But it the lyricsare something about, oh no, where
is God? I'm sorry? Wherehe sings? Where is God in the
sickness that the prayers didn't heal?Or something like that. So sometimes you
pray and pray and pray for healingfor yourself, for others, and sometimes
it doesn't happen, and then yourmind whirls about y. Sometimes you think,
(05:09):
okay, these God hearing me?Why didn't God heal this person?
Why isn't God healing me? AndI've had to deal with this question.
This is two thousand and six, over various ailments that I have. And
my husband has actually experienced his fatherunfortunately passing due to stomach cancer. Even
though everybody prayed that God would healhim. And he was a born again,
(05:32):
spirit filled, wonderful husband and father, and whom I had never met
anyway, So Ted Senior or EdwardsSenior would have been my father in law
had I met Ted prior to ninetynine, but I met Ted in two
t twenty oh one, two thousandand one. So anyway, So the
(05:53):
song is where is God in thesickness? Where's God in the midst of
whatever? You know, xyz issueor a or whatever, And and it's
it's a it's a beautiful song.You know, you gotta listen to to
it. Sometimes listen to the lyricsbecause in the lyrics, which resembles you
know, what's in scripture and psalms, where is God in the midst of
(06:15):
the gist of it? Is?Where is God in the midst of my
turmoil? Where's God in the midstof this disease? Where's God in the
midst of this pain? And soyou might not be going through something physical,
but you may be going through somethingemotional or spiritual, or mental or
relational, are all the above, financial, whatever? And so you may
(06:36):
be asking yourself, where is Godin the middle of my trial? Test?
And tribulation in and in the songwhich was which resembles the Bible psalms
proverbs. In whatever, the answeris where is God? And so the
question is where's God? And theanswer is that God, God is right
(06:57):
here where he's always been. Soif you think about it, every painful
situation that you had in your life, and you thought, whereas God,
where is God? He was rightthere, even though you didn't see him
or feel him or hear him necessarily, but He was right there in the
midst of your chaos, the turmoil, trials, trust, tests and tribulations.
(07:18):
And He loves you. He's therefor you. He's there for you
now. And I have to makea joke here in have been some seriousness.
That's how I cope with life. You know, is God in humor.
So I saw this uh funny memeon Facebook and it was an Uber
(07:38):
driver saying I'm here for you tothis person who needed an Uber rite.
And I guess the young lady ora young man who had received U the
text message I'm here for you fromthe Uber driver who had arrived at his
or her residents to pick him orher up, said oh, thank you.
(07:59):
I've been going through so much, and then the uber driver says,
no, I'm here for you, literally here for you in the car waiting
for you. So whether or notthat exchange happened or whether it was just
something for commeding value that was madeup, but still you know that that
person is saying I'm here for youphysically, and that person is thinking that,
oh, that person is here forfor your me metaphorically speaking. So
(08:20):
God, God is is here forus metaphorically and physically. I mean we
can't necessarily touch him or feel himcorporeallyer tangible. I know some people can
who are here as and prophets orwhatever. But even though we can't see
him, hear him, or feelhim, for the most of you,
(08:41):
he is there for you in thepast, present, and future. God
loves you. He's there for you. He sticks closer to that a brother,
he's And if you're in Christ andyou've received Jesus in your heart as
your Lord and savior, he isthere for you. Call upon his name.
If you simply believe in your heartthat God raised Jesus from the dead
and confessed with your mouth the LordJesus, he will make you his child.
(09:01):
You will become born again and justask him into your heart. And
I know some people say, well, I'd be able to go to ask
him in your heart. But ina roundabout way, the Bible is basically
saying if you believe in your heartright and confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus, you'll be saved. Andif you and also it says that you
know b h, he that believesand is baptized will be saved. And
(09:24):
you know, uh repent for theKingdom of Heaven is at hand. So
all those scriptures basically stay. Tobe saved, all you need to do
is is believe, confess and repent, admit your sinner, believe that He
died on the cross for your sinsto reconcile you to God, and confess
that Jesus is Lord. And Iknow that it's easy for me to say
(09:48):
because God has given me that giftto faith. But if you struggle with
believing that there is a God dueto your trauma, due to your heartbreak
or whatever, there is a Godfor sure. Ch Uh. Check that
