(00:00):
Hello and welcome. Thank you somuch for watching. This shows all about
giving you insights and showcasing brands thathelp you to live your best life and
give you confidence. As always,I want to kick out your morning with
a motivational advice to help you tofeel inspired and energize to start your day
today. I want to talk withthe importance of understanding. While you should
(00:20):
never underestimate someone, we cannot measuresomeone's determination or resilience just by seeing them
physically, as these traits are internaland can be measured. Therefore, if
we can't measure their determination or grits, how can we ever truly underestimate someone.
One of the single most important traitsthat make someone successful in any field
(00:41):
lies in their determination to succeed. There are plenty of talented people in this
world who don't have enough grit ordetermination to keep going when faced with failure.
However, on the contrary, thereare many people who might not be
as talented, but who sheer determinationopens doores for them. In fact,
we'll see every single successful person you'veever met had to have the determination to
(01:04):
get through failure in order to achievethe success you see today. The next
time you find yourself wanting to underestimatesomeone, Remember that the determination can be
measured by what you see on theoutside, and that inside them may lie
the hunger to fuel them to unparalleledpikes. As Calvin Coolidge quotes, nothing
of this world can take the placeof persistence. Talent will not. Nothing
(01:26):
is more common than the unsuccessful menwould talents. Genius will not unrewarded genius
is almost a proverb. Education willnot. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
Coming up after the break, youguys really understand the struggle of purchasing
clothes. Tell us how legacy bundleshelps families save money. You go to
(01:48):
our website bundleslop dot com. Onthere, you're going to choose a bundle
that you want. You're then goingto receive in the mail a letter from
us that has an empty bag. It's two feet by two f it's huge,
huge, So then you fill thatwith thirty items. Those items can
be any size, any gender. We don't care. There are a few
(02:09):
things on our website that do matter. We can't take anything with ripped stains
or holes. What we kind ofsay is use the golden rule. If
you would be unpleased getting that itemin your bundle, don't send it to
us. Wardrobe provided by the Chateau. Next up on the show, we
have the co founder of Legacy Bundles, Shannon Taylor. Legacy Bundle is on
(02:29):
a mission to help parents keep upwith their clothes that fit their kids and
their budgets while saving time and storagespace. Shannon, thank you so much
for being on the show today. How are you doing, good morning.
Thanks for having me. I appreciateit. Well, thank you for being
here. I'm actually really excited totalk to you. You and your husbands
are the co founders of Legacy Bundles. So what led you to create this
(02:50):
brand? Was drived out of necessity. We had a daughter who had caught
up to the girl we were gettinghand me downs from, and we we
needed new clothes. So we startedlooking into purchasing and the new clothing market
is insane. And then looked intoconsignment, so going taking my clothes,
(03:12):
having them evaluated, and then takingthe money I would make and purchasing new
which is a great concept in theory, But what I was finding is I
was taking in, you know, tens of items and only being able to
buy two or three based off ofthe value given back. And so as
I sat here and contemplated the problem, knowing if I was struggling with those,
other people would be too. Weused our business background, we own
(03:36):
another business, and started to lookat what it would be to develop this
for everybody else and work through theproblems of all of that. Very nice,
And what I love about Legacy Bundlesis that it's two families with seven
kids. So you guys really understandthe struggle of purchasing clothes. Tell us
how Legacy Bundles helps families save money. You go to our website bundleswap dot
(03:59):
com. On there, you're goingto choose a bundle that you want.
You're then going to receive in themail a letter from us that has an
empty bag. It's two feet bytwo feet. It's huge, huge,
So then you fill that with thirtyitems. Those items can be any size,
any gender. We don't care. There are a few things on our
website that do matter. You can'ttake anything with ripped, stains or holes.
(04:21):
What we kind of say is usethe Golden rule. If you would
be unpleased getting that item in yourbundle, don't send it to us okay,
and then we take that, youmail it back to us. Postage
is included, and we take thatand we swap it out for the items
that you have pre selected during thatcheckout process. And I know that families
can save up to ninety dollars withyour program. What is the average cost
(04:44):
of clothes for a family? Afoorper se oh Man, I can speak
towards the savings of legacy bundles. So what I can tell you is every
family spends you know, hopefully basedoff of their budget, and some families
can go shopping every month, somefamilies can go happen once a year,
and some families use the hand medowns. What I can tell you is
that if you were to do thirtyitems at consignment, you're going to be
(05:11):
spending upwards of one hundred and thirtydollars at least to get the items.
If you're going to be buying brandnew those thirty items, you're looking at
three hundred plus. So as towhat each household spends individually, I'm not
I can't entirely speak for that becauseof how frequently they would be shopping,
but the savings for us is massive. You're looking at about a one thirty
(05:33):
consignment and over three hundred for newThat's amazing And I love that you said
that this was born out of necessitybecause I feel like, you know,
kids are quo clothes and then itgets so expensive, right, So I
love that you guys came up withthis concept. Let's talk about the different
bundle offers that you guys offer andhow legacy bundles worked exactly. You've got
to go to our website and pickout a bundle we have. We currently
(05:55):
have three options right now. Wehave the build a Bundle. The build
a Bundle is your most extensive processbecause you're going to select every single item
individually. So you're going to selectboys the size, so four T sleeper
and then if you want another one, you're a sect Boys three T sleeper.
So it's the most extensive, butit gives you the most control over
(06:18):
what you're getting back. We thenhave the Designer Bundle. So what we
have done there is we have takenthe age groups and the genders and we
have done some research into what theyneed or are most hard on or use
the most. So like a newborn, you're going to get more sleepers versus
a four T you're going to getmore pants. So what we've done is
(06:40):
those designer packages will tell you whatyou're getting after you pick the gender in
size, and it will have apre designated selection of clothing. And then
we have the fast five. TheFast five is you go in, you
select gender, a size, andan item, and you get five of
(07:00):
those. So if you want threeT dresses, you're gonna get five three
T dresses. You can do threetea boys shirts and you're gonna get five
of those. Again, all ofthese are interchangeable with the gender other than
the designer package because that one ispre done completely, so the other two
you can shop for multiple children. That is one of the nice things about
(07:25):
our product is it is designed againfor you guys, because we were parents,
we knew what we wanted. Youdon't need to do a bundle per
child. You can do a bundleand do however many clothes in that bundle
that you need. Very nice andwhen a family gets a legacy bundle package,
what can they expect to receive thegreat thing about this program is that
(07:46):
you can send us all girls ninemonths and request all boys five teeth.
You can send us a combination ofboys and girls and request back only girls.
You can send us eighteen month andrequest newborn. So what we really
wanted to do was take out themonetary value of these things and make it
(08:07):
a one for one swap. Sothat way you as long as you're sending
us close, we will send youback what you request. We don't care
about season, we don't care aboutholidays. If you send us Christmas in
July, we're just gonna store ituntil Christmas comes around. What is great
about bundles is we are parents thathave designed it for people raising kids with
that in mind, and have triedto jump through all those hoops. And
(08:30):
I'm sure you're getting amazing feedback fromyour clients because of course, the economy
it's wrecked out there right now,and clothes are expensive, So what kind
of feedback are you getting from clients. The support has been amazing from people
that are trying this. We aregetting responses like, the quality of clothes
is fantastic. I didn't know whatto expect. The packaging is cute.
(08:54):
I got stuff with tags on it. I can't believe this product hasn't been
around forever. A lot of grandmasaying I wish this was around when I
was raising kids. We do havegift certificates Grandmas, so you can pass
along the savings. But the supportand feedback on what we're doing is fantastic.
And again it's it's more about thecause and the meaning behind it and
(09:16):
that we just are here for thepeople. And I think that you know,
one of our mottos is do goodbusiness and business will be good to
you, and we live by that, and so I think that our feedback
and the response and reviews that we'regetting are definitely in favor of that.
And how has faith played a partin your success? Because I feel like
(09:39):
faith is so important as an entrepreneur, right as an entrepreneur to drive you.
So how is you played a partfor your success? Our faith has
just been the foundation of this companyall the way from conception through bringing it
to market. We really spend alot of time on how we were going
to structure this all the way fromprice point to the ambassador program, how
(10:01):
to give back where we would giveback, our mission statement, our goals,
our ambitions, everything that we aredoing we're very public about and we
are putting that all out for everybodyto see and it can be traced back
to our faith. We believe thatLegacy Bundles has been put here to do
good and it's been developed to benefiteverybody and to really grow the kingdom.
(10:26):
You're not going to be able tofind something that we're doing that doesn't trace
back to our faith. Yeah.Absolutely. And you know, we have
a lot of entrepreneurs that watch thisshow, and you know I created my
platform to inspire and to uplift anyonewatching that anything is possible. So what
advice would you have for any entrepreneursout there that are looking to start a
brand, because I feel like theyneed to know it's not an easy process,
(10:46):
right, It's definitely a process, but it's not easy. Oh man.
We actually talked about this at ourvery first meeting when we were convincing
Depth leave her job, that wewould have the best laid plans and they
wouldn't work and we'd have to restructure. So we actually had a background in
web development and some app building, but it was out of necessity. Neither
(11:09):
Anthony or I were well versed init, and so we hired a developer
and long story short, we wereout one hundred thousand dollars and we never
ended up with a product, sowe pivoted. My husband learned how to
code, so he worked all day, came home, we would do family
things from about five to seven, some dinner. At this point we had
(11:33):
two kids, a newborn, andthen at about seven he'd go into the
office and he'd start coding, andhe would work until midnight. The next
morning, he and I would lookat what he's done, a few changes
that had to be made to theBundles program from what we originally wanted and
how that would all fit in,and then he would take that information back
the next night and change the codeand work it through. And it was
(11:56):
just step by step, and Ican't praise him enough because he figured it
out. What I can tell youis that without this team, without the
four of us and quite frankly ourkids, we all support each other.
So one of us is like,oh, I can't do it anymore,
or I don't want to make anotherphone call, or I don't want to
do another social media post. We'reall there to help pick the other one
(12:20):
up when they need it, andthen you know, one day, when
they're done, somebody else picks themup. So it's really important to have
those core people around you, andkeep pushing because you're always on the verge
of something, making a change, making a difference. Somebody's watching you,
somebody's learning from you, and soyou're always right there. Just keep going.
(12:41):
As far as what I advise i'dgive somebody, be ready to pivot,
get your plans, but be okayif something doesn't work, that you're
going to make a change, andto have the people to support you to
get you through that. You cando pretty much anything with a support system
and a clear goal in mind.Keep in mind that you might want to
go from A to B, butyou might have to go like AA and
(13:01):
have CD back to B. Sothose people are who you need, and
to stick with it and keep pushingand don't give up. I absolutely agree
with that. When you are agood person, you have good values,
your clients can feel that, andyou definitely have more success. So I
think that's great advice. And youknow, it must be nice having this
(13:24):
company with your husband, Anthony.I know you both created this company together.
So what's it been like as afamily to see the success of your
company with Legacy Bundles grow our journeyas the founders of this the four of
us is really quite interesting. Weall were raised I wasn't born here,
but raised in a small town together. But with several years between us.
(13:48):
My husband and I had come homeand we're only supposed to be in the
area for a few short months ona house rehab and ended up now our
calling is what we're going to behere. I didn't have a relationship with
Devin Jared originally, but as Anthonyand I were working through the concept of
(14:09):
legacy bundles and what that looks like, knowing we couldn't do it on our
own. We had one kid andanother one on the way and another business
to run, we would need help. And we were talking one day and
it was just really late on myheart that we needed to talk to Devin
Garrett and we had plans to actuallyhave dinner with them, which was very
random, and we completely surprised themat dinner and said, hey, we're
(14:30):
gonna need you to quit your jobsand come work for us. And so
that was a little less than ayear ago and it's been a journey ever
since then. Absolutely and Shannon,we'reker viewers learn more about legacy bundles and
put us some bundles for their families. So we are on all those social
media platforms under Legacy Bundles, Soagain Legacy Bundles with an S or you

story, more about us. Youcan see some pictures of the four of
us, and then we also havethe Ambassador program on there where, which
is where we pay you to bepart of this revolutionary product and service that
