Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome. Thank you so much for watching this
shows all about giving you insights and showcasing brands that
help you to live your best life and give you confidence.
As always, I want to kicks out your morning with
some motivation advice to help you to feel inspired and
energize to start your day today. I don't talk about
the importance of understanding this concept you will see it

(00:21):
when you believe it. The reality is many people believe
that only when they see something that they will then
begin to believe it. But the key to manifesting is
actually the opposite. It's believing in it in order to
see it. It's having a belief so strong and so
compelling that it has no choice but to manifest in
your outer reality. Let's put this concept into practice with

(00:43):
anyone that you see successful today, whether it be someone
in business or a celebrity that you admire, their success
began with a relentless belief in themselves and their dreams.
Due to that belief, they eventually convince the world of
their talent and eventually aligned with the right opportunity through
inspired action. The great author and motivational speaker Wayne Dyer

(01:04):
made this concept of you will see it when you
believe it popular by teaching people that it's through our
beliefs that we can shape our reality to create opportunities
and experiences that align with the life we want. Make
it your mission today to start cultivating this belief and
watch your outer world begin to change. As doctor Wayne
Dyer quotes, if you believe it will work out, you'll

(01:24):
see opportunities. If you believe it won't, you will see obstacles.
Next up on the show, we have Nick Dorka, who
stars in season seven of the popular Netflix reality series
Love Is Blind. Nick, thank you so much for being
on the show today. How are you doing.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I'm doing fantastic. A lot going on, but I'm glad
to be here with you.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Well, thank you for being with me today. Honestly, I
love Love is Blind. So we have a lot to
talk about. But before we get into your experience on
the show, I want to ask you what intrigued you
about going on the show in the first place.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
It's such a different opportunity and life. I'm kind of
a risk taker.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I would hate to not do this and then look
back in ten years and be like, what if?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, my trajectory of my life probably would have looked
a little bit different, and for me it was it
was such a different opportunity where it would not only
test me, but you know, test my lifestyle, test my
partner test how I can you know, maneuver kind of
being in that you know, married lifestyle, and it just
retro engineers the whole dating thing, right, everybody's all about looks,

(02:30):
first impressions, and now it's like, screw the looks, right,
We're just going to see who we vibe and connect with.
And then the second part of the experiment is obviously
that physical space.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
So it was too too cool of an opportunity to
pass up. And I'm so glad.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I did it very nice. And what was your experience
like in the pods? Was it like you imagine it
to be?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
What would you imagine it to be a lot of
a lot.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Of No, I have no idea. It could be really exciting,
it could be scary, it could be awkward, Like I'm
not sure, but like, what was it like to be
live in the pods?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, I mean there's some tense moments for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You know, everybody's going through it together, so we kind
of understand people's feelings if we need space, take space.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
You know, we were turning up a little bit.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
We were having a good time, and you know, I
mean there's cameras on you twenty four to seven. You
may put a ring on someone's fingers, so it's exciting.
But I mean it was. It was really cool just
to be immersed in that situation. You don't have your phone,
you don't have your computer, you leave your life behind
and it's like, Okay, we're just here to find love, right.
So great group of guys, great group of women, But

(03:39):
had to constantly remind myself this isn't.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
A frat party.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
We're here, right, So, you know, the lounge and the
pods were really cool. And I've seen some previous seasons
and kind of knew how it went, but being in
it's actually.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Different for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
M hm.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
And your experience was a little bit different on the show.
I feel like you did base some challenges right when
you started in your relationship. So what was that thing
that you learned about yourself in this experience?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
You think I only faced a couple of challenges, I
mean very Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
We were asking kind of just how the experience was.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, No, I'm saying that you know, you had some challenges.
You know, what's something you learned about yourself and that experience.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, the biggest thing was like I'd never been open.
I've never been vulnerable. I never talked about certain things
that have happened in my life or things that I've
been through or the people around me have been through.
And so I love not only to be open with
your partner and the people you love, but with yourself. Right,
Like I had a lot of self reflecting to do,
and I knew I was a good dude. I knew

(04:45):
I had a lot to give. I'm ambitious and respectful, mature,
but it's like, you don't really that last ten percent
was really unlocked for me actually being in that experiment,
because you have to do a lot of self reflection
and it's like, Okay, me personally, i would never throw
shade at.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
A woman, right, I'm going to treat her the right way.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
And so a lot of the times, you know, when
we're going through just talks or arguments or disagreements, like
you know, I have to sit back, just like myself
to her spot and just kind of understand where she's
coming from. And so one thing I didn't know either
is I'm patient as hell.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, yeah, I'm patient as well.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
And I never realized that I was that patient or
that's a quality that I have to give or you know,
was looking.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
For my partner.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
So just a lot, a lot you kind of learn
about yourself in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah, I mean, being patient is a great quality I
have to stay in any partner, right, So patient I
can be. It depends, it depends on the person I
can be. I think I'm pretty patient, but I definitely
an A type personality as well, so I can.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
So yeah, we can work on your patients.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
You know, when you went into the pods, did you
kind of have an idea of what you were looking
for in a partner or was it something that you
kind of you know, kind of experienced or did something
that you kind of decided on while you were in
that experience.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, it's fifty to fifty.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I knew I wanted someone who was, you know, morally
the right way, you know, kind of wanted to raise
our kids the right way. Had a couple of qualities,
you know, trust, a lot of fun, ambitious, has their
own thing going on, down to do whatever, try new things.
But Hannah wasn't like my normal type. And I'm not

(06:34):
even talking physically, it's just you know, she's from West Virginia.
She has an accent and grew up a lot different
than I did, and so I had never thought about
like a lot of those little details and stuff like that.
And I went into the pods think and I had
a type. I left the Pods knowing I don't have
a type, right, Like, as long as you kind of

(06:55):
hit the couple boxes that I'm looking for, you know,
it's it's fair game, right. And DC is such a
cool place because it's diverse, so many people from different backgrounds,
and I knew that kind of going in, and I
was like, look like, no matter what you've been through
in your past, like be present and just keep your

(07:16):
mind open, right, And that's what happened, And I'm super
glad I did.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
What were some of the highlights for you being on
the show, because you also built a lot of friendships
there as well.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, yeah, build some friendships, but you know we were
there to find love, right, So I would say a
couple of experiences where the duck, you know what the duck, I'm.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Going to ride that thing, bungee jumping.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Also in Mexico was because you know, my biggest fear
is heights. And then the night before we go bungee jumping,
my producer's like, hey, you know, get ready leading nine am,
we're leaving to go bungee jumping, and oh my god.
But it was cool to overcome one of my biggest fears,
of my biggest fear on that stage with my person.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
That just goes into you knowing a lot about yourself.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
And then it was really cool just having my friends
and my family meeter that doesn't happen a lot with me.
It's tough for me to bring you into my space,
and so just to share those moments with you know,
my circle, my people, who was pretty neat.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
M Was it hard for you to open up because
I know you mentioned you're kind of reserved and you
were kind of you know in the process, was it
hard for you to kind of like really show everyone
who you really were?

Speaker 2 (08:33):
No, but then to talk about the things that I'd
never spoken about and to talk about experiences that I've
never shared, that was difficult. It's really easy for me
to just be myself, have conversation, to meet people. You know,
I've never really had a problem with that, but a
lot of the things, you know, a couple of things
that I never shared with anyone, Like it was. It

(08:55):
was tough, right, But I think that's the part of
growing in the part of life is like you never
you're never like a complete version of yourself. You're learning
every day, and that experiment enables you to learn a
lot in a little time.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
For sure, I feel like you're dealing with two things there.
You're on a show and you're learning about yourself, but
you're also learning about your partner. So it's a lot, right.
Is there anything that you would do differently?

Speaker 3 (09:21):
You know, I've been asked that question and I've thought
about it. The answer is no.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
There's a reason why I'm sitting here talking to you
right now, miss Dariel.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Dariel's how you saying the name, right, Dariel? Yeah, it's
a pretty name, by the way.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Now, there's a reason why I'm here, and there's a
reason why things in the past, you know, whether it
was football or going to a different college, whatever it is,
didn't work out. And so I think as long as
you've just had your you keep your faith, you keep
true to yourself. You know, you're going to find yourself
in life in a situation where you know it feels right,

(09:57):
and so it was just a blessing, you know, to
go through that and to be where I am now.
You know, I wouldn't met a lot of the cool
people you know that I have met recently. So I'm
along for the ride and.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
I'm here for m hmm.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
And after being on Levi's Blind, would you be open
to going on another reality show?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
I think so?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
It depends on the show, you know. For me, you know,
perfect Match, It's like, yeah, I would entertain it. But
I think Dancing with the Stars would be nice. I
think going on sports broadcasting yeah, I think, you know,
being the Next Bachelor.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Maybe, Oh okay, Yeah, It's.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Like, you know, show shows that I would never have
had the chance to go on would be so cool.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
You know.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I don't want to kind of just ride this wave
and then have it we're out for you know, in
a month or two. I want to kind of do
and build something sustainable, right that's going to set myself
and my family down the lineup for success.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
So I'm mop into whatever.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Very nice. And after being on the show, do you
believe love is blind, yes.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
And no, I think it's blind in the fact you
never know when you're gonna find love when you go
looking for it and no one ever finds it, but
then it'll come up and pinch you in the butt. Yeah,
So I think it's blind in that sense for sure.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
M hm.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
And you know, I created my platform to inspire, to uplive,
to motivate, and you know, there's a lot of entrepreneurs
and young people that watch my show. So I when
I ask you, anyone that's afraid to kind of put
themselves out there, because obviously you did on the show
and that's not easy, what would you stay to encourage
someone to kind of take a risk on love?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, I would say there's two things. It's being who
you are got you to the point where you're at now.
So never switch up, never try you know, never have
someone kind of change how you grew up, the person
you are, what you believe, and you gotta stay true,
you gotta stay consistent. And then for me, I learned
the most about myself when I make myself uncomfortable. And

(12:08):
it's tough for people to put themselves in tricky spots
or you know, do things that bring them outside their
comfort zone, just like kind of bungee jumping for me,
or talking about these things that I never talked about,
but after you do it, it feels great after you
do it, like there's a weight lifted off your should dering.
I learned the most about myself when I'm uncomfortable or

(12:29):
I'm nervous.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
I get the most out of that experience.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
So I would just say take risks, you know, get
yourself uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Absolutely. I love that. I think that you know, when
you're uncomfortable is when you really learn about yourself. Right,
when things are great, you're not learning. But when you're uncomfortable.
I mean even this year for myself, like I did
so many things that were uncomfortable, and when I did it,
I realized it wasn't that at all. I know lot
more of that, right, you have that in gal and
Rush because you're like, wow, that wasn't hardres.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
One thing over the past couple of years that you
did that that you know made you uncomfortable, and you'll
look back and like, wow, I'm glad I did this.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I would say traveling, there's I've done a lot of traveling.
This year. I went to I went to Norway, I
went to Cuba. I've been doing a lot of traveling
and I've been doing a lot of you know, as
an entrepreneur, I've been focusing a lot on myself and
going to an event that make me feel uncomfortable and
just putting myself out there. And it's amazing. I feel
like every single time I do that, I just get
so many opportunities. I just keep growing and I learn

(13:29):
about myself that you know, you're stronger than you think
you are, right.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
So, yeah, that's that's great, and you should know you're
you're an amazing woman and you could be.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I am jealous you've been a cue though.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Oh yes, yeah yet we then.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
That's next on our list and were we got to
go down there. But I'm super jealous, so I'll have
to chop it up and other.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Top about that, and Nick, what else are you currently
working on right now? What are your current projects?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Yeah, so I'm a real estate team. I've been in
the business four years. You know, I'm having a lot
of fun with that. But then I also have kind
of a I don't know how much I could talk
about them, but a couple of different, like you know,
projects I'm working on.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
I'm huge in the sports.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I have an athletic background, and you know all American
kicker punter in college kickers are people too.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
It's like, you know, it's it's super cool.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I have this platform that I can now kind of,
you know, pursue these opportunities that the normal person.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Wouldn't have or I wouldn't have had.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Right So, whether it's modeling, fashion, traveling, sports, it's like
I kind of have my hands in a couple of
different things, and my team and I are working on,
you know, making those things happen.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
So you'll see you follow me on ig right, I do,
I do all right? I hope I follow you back.
If not, I'll follow you back right after this.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Yeah, go follow me, you go follow me.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, So stay tuned, not coming up.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Amazing, Nick, thank you so much for being on the
show too, and congratulations on all your success.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
I appreciate it, and congrats to you as well.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
You know, you have a successful show and you're great
you and your team, so I appreciate you much.
