Speaker 1 (00:15):
Hey guys, Hello, what's up. I am Kelly Cash Forever keene.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
H and I am Don Bon Shawn's Glenn.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
And we are we are wearing some special shirts today.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah, my teacher caused a bit of controversy on Twitter,
so you know, let's keep up the trend. Mine's is
a money shirt. It's off the water Lilies yep.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Which was very prominently featured in season one.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yes, yes, exactly. That was. That was the painting that
Dar was looking at in the Deisi Mond and let
me say you said it made him think of home.
And I then said that money is my favorite artist, and.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
And and and I said that. That was the episode
where I gave Jane my MVP Award for the episode
because she said, I Preciuism wasn't a general I hate impressionism.
So I'm actually wearing my favorite artist, one of my
two favorite artists, Caravaggio's head.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
On all I loved.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
And uh so I'm representing I'm representing doctor Edwards.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yes you are, And I'm I'm Donald. I think Quinn.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
You're Quinn. He was a big Bone fan.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
That's right. Yeah, I'd rather than Donald.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
For those who don't remember doctor Edwards. He was the
doctor Grady in season five. Uh, the one who was
like a little, a little nicer than the others.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I think yeah, I think yeah, I think so yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
And he was a big fan, he had one in
his office, So that's fine.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
A great actor as well, who's I'm going through a
really hard time. So I love to him.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yes, yes, speaking of not to not to bring down,
not to bring things down too much. But we've been
on our channel. We've been raising money, some of you know,
for for a friend of the channel, Tinu, good friend,

(02:34):
wonderful human being. Unfortunately she passed last week, but we
are still raising money for her family. So if you
send a super thanks, which you can send after any
episode air so you can send it on any of
our videos. If you send a super thanks, all of

(02:55):
the money will go directly to Tinu's family. And if
all else have the link to the go fundme, we're
gonna put it up. We're gonna scroll it across the bottom,
and then I'll also put it in the show notes
so you cannot see. You can donate directly there as well.
So really really a bummer. I'll miss her terribly, but
we just we definitely want to help her family out.

(03:16):
However we can. Unfortunately a lot of people are a
lot of other people want to too, So I'm glad.
So should we uh? Should we get into it? What

(03:39):
my my two thoughts? Okay, my two thoughts that I'll
stirt the episode with. Yes, well actually just just the
one thought. It was really exciting two see uh to
see myself playing a cameo in in the show?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Friend was this?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
This was the seat. There was a scene on the
beach where Ash was kissing some random lady.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yeah, yeah it was me and Ash. We were making
out on the beach.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
We should say that that last night was the Madrid
premiere for the Book of Carl and we are all
very much enjoying Manish Dale's outfit on Just Existence. Yes, yes,
he won the red carpet.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
He's the breakout star of the extended Walking Down universe. Yes,
for sure, we love him. We love him and that's
why my name is Cash Forever, because I mean, you know,
Carol and Ash isn't going to happen, but I can
still ship them in my head.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Shipping is you know, it's a totally can you can
ship who we won't no one.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I'm also I'm also shipped. I'm also hardcore shipping helsh
Or Ashley Ashley. There we go, There you.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Go, there you go perfectly.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, all right, ella, first ever watched this? He's gonna
on Twitter?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
All right, well yeah, let's let's go.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, there's some good stuff in this episode.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yea, yeah, thanks.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah, last, I mean the first episode. I don't think
we really had to complete about it, did we. It
was it was pretty There was nothing. I couldn't think
of anything negative say about the first Yeah, no.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
No, I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed well, I'm okay,
you know, and I'm and I'm sorry, I'm like going
on a tangent here and delaying our recap and further.
But you know, the way I felt about the first
season was that I really enjoyed it, but I enjoyed

(06:30):
it because of everything that wasn't Darryl. Yeah, I was like,
I enjoyed the other characters, you know, yes, and so
with this Darryl is still boring me.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, I can understand.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yeah, I want I want more flu and silly yeah,
and could your own engine and and of course Carol, yes,
of course but yeah, I mean those are the ones
that I'm interested in. Yeah, yeah, a little even less
interested in Daryl after this episode, but you know.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
We'll get to that. Yes, so you want to start?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Wait, your shirting, aren't you?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Oh I'm sorry, Sorry, that's my fault. Okay. So when
we last, it's it seems so long ago since episode
where everybody's at the nest, Carol and Ash other have
taken off from Maine, and that's where the we find

(07:43):
the two groups. So at the next Laurent, Isabelle and
some others are outside this morning. They're digging up, obviously
looking for clams and food, and we hear Laurent's voice
over of his prayer. What wants he wants to He
wants everybody to be happy and say that everybody cares

(08:05):
about and he hopes I thought this was an interesting line.
He hopes that someday don't feels like home, so it
doesn't for him, although Isabelle had said it did for her,
and he knows what everybody expects of him. He says,
everybody loves me. It says they love me, but I
can see how they look at me, and he says,
I know it's not my destiny to be an ordinary child,

(08:29):
but I wish it was, but wishes aren't hope, and
tics I hope I can become the person they need
to be. Darryl and flew and a meal arrived back.
This is what Daryl was off rescuing them from Jenny's convoy,
and they arrived back at the nest. Laura runs up

(08:49):
to him and his character with dog, which is so cute.
A little wouldn't and it really looks like dog, so yes.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I also want to remark that this is one of
the only time in the Walking Dead universe that that
we've seen Daryl's teeth.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
The other time was when Carol was getting off the boat.
We thought that he saw tooth. Then you know, yes, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, he actually he actually showed teeth when he smiled
at Lauren.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yes, and but it it says to me that the
fact that Laurent carved this dog, that tells me that
Daryl has been telling him stories of home and the
people he's left behind, including dog. And we then hear
the end of Laurent's prayer where he says, I hope

(09:37):
I can be the person they want me to be,
and I hope Daryl teaches me to throw a knife,
you know, God like, I'm on that boy. But Lussang
interrupts him. He's overheard, and he says, you know, do
you want Darle stay? And Lawrence says, yes, I do,
but I think he misses Carol, which I was like, yeah,

(09:59):
he's a cat. So that again, I think Daryl's been
talking about home and who he is, and he says
and the others, but he says calf And this this
shows us why Lussang is trying to keep Daryl there,
even though not hannered Daryld. He's afraid that if Daryl leaves,
Laurent will go with him, and so he's he's saying

(10:20):
that you know that you you have to you have
to hold on to your doubt because doubt is not
a bad thing. Doubt is a good thing. It shows
your questioning and that we want you to question anyway,
he says that and very very very true exactly, And

(10:46):
Lawrence came to get away because he says Daryl has
a surprise from so Lasang said let him go. That's
when just sent to we didn't know last week forgot that. Yeah,
it's so bad. I do apologize. The actress was really

(11:06):
very beautiful, and the red carpet last right, and I
was like, oh, I feel so.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Bad, Rememberazoo.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
But but I don't think they'd said her name on screen,
so that was that was possibly the reason. And she
comes to the Sang in a very sort of worrying
way for the audience more red flag time, and she says,

(11:35):
you know, people are the people are are stressing my
red flags. Yes, wave your learned flags. Because the Sangs
actually kind of the not the aggressor here, she is
the aggressor. And he's saying, no, the people are fine,
you know, and she's saying, no, if you don't give
them what they want, they're going to rise up because

(11:57):
they they are doubting and that they the answer to
doubt isn't faith, it's proof. And Sang says, oh, you
want to move up the ceremony again? What hermony is this? Okay,
this is alarming and yeah, yeah, we know that this
is where everything Kelly said is coming through.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Ye I'm going to say this every single time I
predicted that ship before we even saw his face.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
You didn't, you just knew he was going to be
bad news, and he really is. It's it's a cult.
Let's be honest, it's a cult. And Jacinta says, you know,
if we if we have the ceremony earlier, we'll send
a strong signal. But Wosang isn't convinced, and he looks
out the window and sees Lauren and Darryl meeting up.

(12:51):
Daryl's about to teach Laurent baseball using a chair leg
as a baseball. But I'm pretty sure they could. If
you could carve a dog, you can carve a baseball.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
But like one of the characters I'm from was was
gonna carve a baseball bat like.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Hard, the hard thing to carve. I wouldn't have thought
there no baseball exert.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
But yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
So then we see the plane Carol and ashes plane
spluttering to a land in some mountains. They've got a
few leak Unfortunately they get out delighted. Carol is clearly
delighted to be on ground and she's like, I'm just
surprised we were still alive. It's very lush green area

(13:40):
there on, and she says, you know, let's not cunt
her chicken and sees walkers in the distance. She goes
off to kill them with Daryl's crossbow. But what she
doesn't realize is there's walkers underfoot and this was this
was on the trailer and one grabs her ankle, pulls
her down and she's so she starts screaming for ashes help.

(14:00):
He comes over kills one of them, but another one
grabs him, and we think, oh, oh, they're really struggling,
and as often happens in The Walking Dead, a shot
rings out takes out the walkers and we see there's
two people on the hill and they say, welcome to
green Law. Yes.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Now, I hate I always hate to say this, but
I cracked up when, even though I had seen it
in the trailer, I cracked up when the walkers grabbed
Carol and she felt there was just something so funny
about the way she fell. It was kind of like
it was it was kind of like the moment in

(14:39):
The Ones Who Live when when Micheone got thrown off
her horse by it her head.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Yeah, it was kind of comedic, and it was now
it was clearly Melissa McBride when they were on the ground,
but they obviously had a stunt double doing the falling bit,
and I was like, oh man, they need to get
a better wig. I didn't even notice that that is

(15:09):
so not Melissa's here. They've obviously just is a very
straight looking wig, and obviously Melissa's here is quite wavy,
so I was like, oh, they need a better wig.
But you know, I really I always enjoy I said
this last week when Carol was in the Greenhouse fighting Audice.
I love when I see Melissa doing anything physical. I
don't know why, maybe some weird thing about me, but

(15:31):
I just enjoy seeing her doing action of any kind.
So it's nice seeing her try to fight. And the
fact that they go to Greenland. I cannot express as
much how much I love that, because you know, all
as soon as it was we were told Daryl was

(15:51):
going to France, and he's like, how is he going
to get there? And I was certainly one of them.
Is he going to ride a dolphin? You know, he's
going to ride his motorbike under the ocean. So I
really love that they even though of course it's still ridiculous,
they have made an effort here to make it believable.
They've made this slight effort to say, look, you're not

(16:12):
going to get across the Atlantic in one go. They're
going to have to stop in Greenland to refuel, and
it just adds a nice little sort of detour in
a way. It's a bit like them in season one
when they you know, they've found the Walker Orchestra. It's
not relevant to the overall plot, but it's a nice little,

(16:35):
you know, dtour for the for the characters to have
some experience. And I think this is good. This plot
is about the reason they do this, other than going
to Greenland. I think it gives us a bit more
of Ash outside of his breathing father and who he
is as the person we get to learn a bit
more about. So that's when the the that's the end

(16:57):
of the cold, Cold opening, and we're on the titles.
We've got cut back to the Nest and young Lovers,
Sylvie and the meal. Sylvie's cutting his hair, don't know why,
and let's all remember Carol and Darrelds. Let's take a
break and remember Carol Darld's hair cutting scenes. I think

(17:18):
fondly of that, and hold in your brain because.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yeah, oh just wait until you start watching from You're
going to see a real bad hair haircut. Hair cutting issue.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Okay, that's intrigued to me, but I mean, I don't
I'm assuming it's because the actor cut his hair. So
they were like, oh, we're going to have to have
a scene from them for cutting his hair. I don't know,
it's just it was very odd, but they his e
meal Is seems traumatized and got tears in his eyes,
and Sylvie saying, you know, what did he do to you?
You can you can talk to me about it, and

(17:59):
he won't say so she goes to Unbuny's shirt to
see his wounds, and he stopped her and he's, you know,
he's clearly upset. And eventually he lets her open his
shirt and he has no winds, He's completely intact. So
he says he starts to confess, and he says, I
made a deal with God to bring me back to you,

(18:22):
and she says, well, God heard you. God heard and
they cry together, and now I this is Yeah, Kelly's
got the red flag again. Yeah, yes that maybe it
wasn't God that you made the deal with. But I

(18:45):
do like to think of it as also a little
parallel to Carol, you know, coming to find Darryl. As
we've talked about a lot, and it has to be
God or the universe or something that's kept Daryl there
and gets Carol there. Carol saw a lot of signs
in the first episode that, you know, if you believed
in God or a destiny, it was being it was

(19:09):
pushing her in the right direction. And here is a
similar couple who are saying. You know, Emil is saying
I did what I have to do. I did anything
I could do to get back to you, which is
similar to what we saw with Carol last week telling
Ash the lie about about which you know, I when

(19:34):
I first watched it, I was I have to be honest.
I was kind of watching it quickly, and I thought
they'd slept together, and I was like, oh this, Oh no,
they didn't. Okay, I went back watched it. I went no,
I completely misaderpted.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
So there we see a happy, happy little scene of
Daryl and Lauren playing baseball, and Isbell comes along after
they're playing cricket, which I really liked.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
That's well, I love that. I love that.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Yes, we're in Europe now, we play cricket, and Laurent
says we need a catcher, so Isabelle acts as the
catcher and after a pre failures, Laurent hits one out
the Park home run, and I was like, it's okay,
we've got another ball. But here comes just into to

(20:28):
ruin the fun and she says it's time for Laurent
going for his lessons. He's not impressed. He's like, they'll
she'll make me read Socrates and Isabelle gamely He's like,
Socrates is fun?

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Sure, sure it is, okay. I'm getting up a red
flag just for that.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Whoever said Socrates is fun? A little like.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Even like Krka Garten or something not Socrates.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
I'm just thinking of the munty Python's Philosopher's song now,
So I'll just so the Laurent leaves and Darryl and
Isabelle have a little chat now. This scene, I watched
it like three times, and when I was writing my notes,
I said to Kelly, I'm going to need a little
bit more time because I watched the scene so many

(21:21):
times and I still quite I can't quite get a
handle on what's going on. You know, I know what
the actual words are being said, but I'm not entirely
sure what's being said besides that, if you know what
I mean, that's exactly what I thought. That was, Like,
this is very gimble, It is did they get him

(21:44):
on the phone to write this little scene? I don't know.
So the Isabelle is talking about the Darryl needs to
you know, he's doing all this physical stuff with Lauren,
sports and track and thing, and Laurent needs other things
as well, he needs balance of body and mind. And

(22:06):
Daryl's of course, is not convinced. And he says, you know,
Laurent isn't buying half the stuff they're telling him out there,
and she's saying no, Well we come up with this
question of doubt again. She says, you know, doubt it's healthy.
And Darrel's like, well, have you ever doubted? And she says,
say it's healthy? And it'sted this line when he says
he laughs and says, I knew it. You're not like them,

(22:29):
You're one of us. Who's us? And she said who's us?
It makes no sense him and whom? Whom? The other
versions of Daryl because I could quite.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Believe that, Yeah, that would make sense, Yes, yes, make
much sense.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
And and of course this this prompt as well to say,
well what do you mean by us, which she's ready
to do exactly, and she's and she says, you know,
in a couple of weeks, you'll be gone and we'll
still be here. So she's basically saying there is no us,
which he wasn't referring her on him. So I don't
understand that it makes no sense logically speaking.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Yeah, the conversation was was a little ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, it's very oblique. It's like I can tell they're
talking about something other than what they're talking about. But
and and it was when she said this as well,
people make choices for a reason that makes sense to them.
There's always doubt. And then and she says, sometimes you
let faith make the difference. You understand that, how else
did you would you have got on the boat to

(23:43):
the other side of the world. He didn't do it voluntarily.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yeah, he was taken there. My god, my god. We
saw Isabelle in her you know, in her pre outbreak
life as a thief, but I'm starting to think that
she may have been also a kidnapper.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah, because that just does not make sense. And this
is not an attack on isabel the character. It's an
attack on the writing that there is no consistency of
what she believes, what she's driven back beyond protecting Laurent,
everything else is just so messy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Yeah, it's like you know, it's like Ash getting mad
at Carol last week about the about the greenhouse and like,
how does this make sense?

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, she didn't wreck the electric generator. That's your doing, dude.
It's I mean, I understand people make mistakes and you
want to show odd people. But but when you're writing
characters like this and they're saying stuff that isn't true
and it's weird, you expect another character to go, oh,

(25:08):
hang on a minute. But Daryl never does. And that's
you know, even when he I'll get to that at
the end, never draw line under lap for the moment.
We'll get to that there. So Darryl says to Isabelle
after she says, you know you understand your faith making

(25:29):
different and Daryl says, you can make a different choice. Again,
what nobody said anything about Where does that come from?
It's like an apropos or nothing. You could come with me,
both of you. Nice edition there, Darryl like that little pause, Yes, yes,

(25:50):
make a sweat in that little one second pause. But
Isabelle turns him down because she says it's not possible.
But you know they came all this time they've been
living to come to this the nest and that she
believes in it and it was what kept them going,
and Dari says, well, maybe that was all it was,

(26:12):
you know that it's just something to keep going, which
again don't understand what the significance of that is. And
maybe I'm particularly stupid when it comes to Isabelle. I
don't know, but I just feel like this whole scene,
it's two people talking at odds with each other and
saying nothing and everything and yeah, gimple gimpole writing.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Ye, yes, definitely, for sure. I'm trying to get my
my I'm trying to get mister Grawlly to jump on
the thing here because he keeps sniffing my butt and
it's really not.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
He knows, he knows something's wrong.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Is everything okay? Do you smell sick? I send a tension?

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Oh dear, Yes, there's a There's a whole thing going
on in British media and right now, which if any
British media people are listening to this where some bad
stuff went down with a TV presenter and he left
the show alive show and the female presenter when they
came back, she went, first of all, are you okay to.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
The audience, So I want to say that to her audience. Yes,
I'm okay after watching this episode, are you okay? And
if you haven't watched this episode, yeah, just stick with us.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, yeah, we watched it for you. We did the
dirty work for you.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
We did yes, And I watched it multiple times, so
it was it was hard, well going. So yeah, it's
a bell, it's nighttime. Isabelle's in bed at night.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
Yes, I was scared, and we see her get out
of bed and go and knock on another door and
I was I was sweating.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I won't lie. I was sweating. But it turns out
now she's going to Laurent's room clearly to speak about
this offer that Daryl's made, but he's gone. Did did?
Laurn is missing? And there's a grappling hook at the window.
Daryl comes running in his vest and suspender vital to
the season, and another lady and man come in and say,

(28:19):
you know, they were clearly on guard and they said
there was two men, one of them had a tattoo
on his face, and Isabelle peaks out that they're taken
back to Paris once the tide is going to come intoon,
but clearly everybody's getting ready to go. So we see
them outside Darryl Flew, Meal and and others forming a

(28:41):
group to go and retrieve Laurn. Interestingly, you see just
into hand bullets to a man and look at him significantly.
And also a Meal is not keen on flugoing and
tries to stop him going. Another red flag. Yeah, and

(29:03):
then also Isabelle is keen to go and Lucan doesn't
want her to go. That's the red flag. Sylvie and
Meal have a goodbye hug. They've forgotten that their boyfriend
and girlfriend. They're not kidding anymore, and so they leave.
We go back to Greenland, where Carol and Daryl are trumping.

(29:25):
The hills are alive with their Ash. Yeah, what did
I say?

Speaker 1 (29:29):
You said, Darryl.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Dear? And so that's a bad sign, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (29:37):
In this season it's it's Darren's.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Daring, that's true. Ash our new favorite. Ash and Carol
are walking through the hills doing the hills are alive,
and it turns out the two women who are have
met them are un and Hannah, and they talk about
Tupalac is what they call walkers. It's first nation the world,

(30:02):
a first nation term that means flesh eating beasts conjured
up to kill the enemy, and if they don't find
the enemy, the enemy, they return to kill their maker.
I'm sure there's some significance in that. I'm not.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Yeah, figure that out.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Yeah, I was like, what does that mean? So they
say that Carol and Ash are the first people they've
seen in years, and Ash explains they've got a crack
in the full line, but they should be able to
patch it up. And there they say, oh, well, we'll
help you in our home. And here it is over
there down in the valley, miles and miles away as

(30:38):
a little cabin. I love the fact that it seemed
to take them like ten minutes to walk there. I'm like,
that wouldn't taken me half a day exactly. Yeah. Well,
I forgot to mention that when when the Ash and
Carol see them, Ashes like, oh people, and Carol goes yeah.

(31:02):
I loved that the difference Carol's experience has taught her. Yea. So,
and Hannah takes them into their home, which is actually
a research center, and Hannah are both researchers. They came
here to study climate change. There there is a lovely

(31:26):
boiling pot of deer head. But it smells good. So
that's ash and un go leave for Andon's going to
take him to the store room so you can find
something to fix the fuel line with. And Carol stays
with Hannah and she offers Carol a drink, which she refuses,

(31:46):
and she explains what they were doing here, that they
were only meant to be here for three months, and
they have this talk about climate change. Now it's also
clearly about Carol as well. But I loved that we've
had talk about climate change in the show so often.
I thought in the flagship show they should have talked
more about other bigger world issues than they didn't. And

(32:10):
that's one thing I think this show just brilliantly is
that it really dropped in bits of that kind of stuff.
And Carol saying, you know, the world went to hell,
and Hannah's saying, world did it because this is, you know,
a good thing for the world. It's healing itself. And
Carol's like, yeah, but but everybody died. Everybody you love died,
and she's saying, well, don't screw with mothers. Somebody's mother.

Speaker 6 (32:34):
I was like, yes, yea, but iat that's you know,
there are several scenes where people are clearly talking about
Carol in front of her in a in a metaphorical
way that you know they don't know they're talking about Carol,

(32:55):
but we the audience do things.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
They're saying that related to Carol, that this is one
of the first one that you know she is. She
will do anything as a mother, she will do anything,
and that's what the earth is doing. So Ash comes
in and says, oh, I found dak tape. We answered
everybody's problems. As you know, if you watch this tract

(33:17):
to all you need is prayer and duct taping to
get real life. So yeah, so they go off and
leave Carol Hannah. Carol has put down the crossbow and
she's like, oh, maybe I we'll have a drink. So
she and Hannah are sitting on opposite side of a
table and Hannah wants to ask if she can use

(33:40):
it to the crossbook. Cars okay, but she seems a
bit too interested in and she loads up and Carol
is suspicious grabs a pen, which we know with Carol
that's a good enough weapon. Sheield mars to take somebody
out with that, and we get I just have to say. Also,
we get to see Carol's rings in this scene because

(34:02):
she's taken off her gloves. There was a lot of
talk about her rings before before the season started, because
you could see them under our gloves. And they are
support rings for people who suffer our fritis or ellers
Danla syndrome, who have a lot of dislocating fingers, and
for people who are using weapons a lot crossbows and

(34:23):
boes particularly. So really, again, this is something they've put
into it that I'm like, Yes, let's see that they
are aging, let's see that they're facing problems.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Yeah, yeah, definitely, I wish.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
That, you know, there was more little bits of you
know about that, and Hannah ends up pointing the crossboat Carol. Meanwhile,
Ash's having a great time on his date. Within she
asked him if we had children. He's talking about Carol
and that she's trying to get her daughter and if

(34:58):
you know, if there's a thread of hope, he's willing
to help. And she's like, oh, did you have anybody? Yes,
I had a son and he died and she said
do you ever think of having more? And he's like what,
And then Une says, I had assumed until later on

(35:18):
in this scene that this was a lesbian couple. I
really assumed they were a couple. And she talks about
how her and Hannah have a different view of the world,
but she wants to Hannah wants civilization to die out
and wants to be populate world. Frankly, and just agreed.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
She probably agreed with Hannah until you know, until she's
ash was like.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Suddenly change even from an instance across the valley and
they were like, hello.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
One needs to put some duct tape over my mouth already.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
We will not we will not stoop to this level,
oh dear. Yeah, But she says that they have a plan.
Both of them are going to have children and she's
going to be the father, whether whether he likes it
or not. So then we cut back to the research

(36:30):
center and she says that she's meant to kill Carol,
and but I don't want to do it, And I
loved this line. This is my favorite line of the
whole episode. Carol says, then it's anonymous. I don't want
you to go either, But she says she has to

(36:51):
do it because Hannah told her, basically, and this has
real undercurrents of an abusive relief and is kind of
it's clearly what we're getting from it. Here. Carol is
looking at our Hannah as herself and saying, you know,
don't you want things? What do you want in life?
Think about that and you can come with us, well,

(37:13):
you know, don't shoot me and we'll we'll believe and
you can come and have a life. And but she
said no, no, and Hannah comes in ass why you know,
why haven't you done it yet? And I will just
give me a minute, and she starts speaking to Hannah
in a very abusive way and saying, you know, the
way that someone who is in a domestic abuse situation

(37:37):
would recognize is the kind of way someone talks to
you when they're they're belittling you and putting you down.
And Carol is that voice that she wish you had,
but you know, he was in the situation and is
saying to Hannah, no, you know, you don't have to
do it, and so shoots Hannah shoots in the head

(38:00):
and killed her. She says, I have to do it,
and Carol's like, no, no, you did. So they leave
and are walking towards the plane and Hannah is excited
to pleth her she's like, oh, I can use all
my high school friends. This is exciting and a really
sweet bit about Ash. She's like, you know, Charls is
oh Ashes is kind and she's like, yeah, he seems lovely,

(38:21):
and she says he's lucky to have you. And then
two seconds later I killed her.

Speaker 7 (38:31):
It's a really cool kill though it was Yeah, he
shoots her with a flair gun and it gets her
right in the neck, so it's yeah, it's very cool.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
So Carol rescues Ash, who has been you know, chained
up to the plane. Keep them they're ready in this episode,
is there, Yeah, Kelly and I have shared notes and
I have written times this.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Yeah, this is true.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
There's a lot of it. And and so they get
in the plane and Carol can recognize that Ash is
like a bit troubled, and she says, is that the
first person you killed? And he says, yes, you know,
he's been lucky enough that he hasn't had to What
about you? Carol's like, do you want to see my
note book? But she says yes, she's she's killed a

(39:30):
lot of people and she remembers them all and it
never leaves you, which is heartbreaking but also speaks to
who Carol is that she she doesn't do any of
this lightly. Every bit stays with her and eats weight
her soul. But she does it because she can and
she'll be for the people she loves.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yes, she's not rid rhymes no, yes.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
And that's the halfway point in our in the episode.
I right, So.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Back to back to back to Darren. They uh, they
all get out of the jeep and they Darryl notices
that they had been there, so they start tracking them. Uh,
Daryl sees some people in the building and uh so
there's there's one way in follow me. They all split up.

(40:25):
Daryl goes up the stairs and uh he gets he
gets kind of cornered by by some some guys and
uh they like one of them ends up going out
the window and oh man, we're coming up on we're

(40:49):
coming up on a really upsetting scene that that made
me yell at my at my screen. So as there
as he and Isabella are going up stairs, the uh
there's a woman actually from the nest actually firing arrows
at them, and she mentions to Daryl that she's from

(41:10):
the nest, and uh then we see flu with a
guy on top of him and a knife like about
to kill him, and he's, uh, A Meal comes up
and you're like, oh cool e Meal to the rescue.
Fucking a hole.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
I liked you, a Meal.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
I liked you.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
God, damn damn Meal. We wanted to get together with Sylvie.
You were a really cute couple. Now you got and
ruined everything.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yes, I mean, granted I only liked a Meal because
of Sylvie. I really don't didn't care that.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Much about Meal.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
I just just like Sylvie. But you know, realief flu
of all people. Flluu, you're gonna let Falu our baby
full die. God. So, so isabel and Daryl are like

(42:11):
still taking people out and Isabelle asks why they're doing this,
and uh, you know. Flu Flu eventually gets gets the
jump on the guy, but Emil is about to shoot him,
and Emil is is very distressed and he's like, you

(42:32):
weren't supposed to be here, and it's just it's it's
really disturbing. I hate the scene so much. Yeah heartbreaking,
Yeah yeah it is. And uh, I mean Emil says
that they're they're worried that Laurent will leave, which would

(42:52):
make everything meaningless, and Isabelle is you know, trying to
be calm, and she says that that they understand, and
Blue asks him in French, like what they did to him?
And Emil says that they made him watch while they
did the experiments, and which is which is so okay.

(43:16):
This is what's so interesting to me about covering multiple
shows at the same time, because we just had the
situation I'm from.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
Like, oh okay, like just.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
Like last episode where that was that happened? But uh yeah,
so he says that they're they're martyrs now, but it
will all be okay tomorrow, oh oh oh, And Daryl
asks what's happening tomorrow? And this this is what this

(43:55):
is what I'm kind of like a little bit confused by.
Isabel says they're going to test him, Like how much
does Isabelle know? Like That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
Yeah, I think she she realizes because of all the
talk of faith and proof and things and the how
much they think he is a savior, they think she realizes.
I guess she's smart enough to realize the one way
to prove he's a savior is to kill him. Yeah,
proof he doesn't die, which is what we were saying,

(44:27):
you know last season, Yeah, but did the day to
see if you're they crucify them?

Speaker 1 (44:33):
You know, yes, yes, exactly the French Jesus yeahs as well.
Marcherm likes to uh likes to call him. So Emil
says he won't to come. He insists he wants to
come to the bit and Itabell says, asks if that
looks like salvation to you? And Emil is about to

(44:56):
shoot Darryl, but Flew steps in and Isabel shoots him.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah, and Isabel shoots a Meal. I have to say
I said on Twitter that Isabel had absolutely zero impact
in the pot. Obviously she does in this scene, so
I was wrong. She shoots a Meal, but you know
if she wasn't there somebody else that would have done it.
So yeah, I still stand by what I say, but
technically I was wrong.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Now, I really I'm glad that your notes are the
way they are for this next scene, because I, like,
I was so confused watching this. Yes, yeah, and yeah,
I'm glad that I wasn't the only one.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Somebody else who watched, you know who's watched it also
asked me the same question, and I was like, I
don't know the.

Speaker 1 (45:47):
Answer, Yeah, what the hell. We're back at the nest
and we see Sylvie and she's walking around and she's
watching she's watching a woman preparing some food, and she's
like walking around and looking suspicious and like hiding behind
one of the pillars. I like, it's so confused.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
Yeah, I have no idea why this lady preparing a
plate which looks like to me like a pastry, right
it might be pizza, I don't know, and a glass
of milk. For some reason, that alerts Sylvie suspicious.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Bye, not a clue that they are a laptose intolerant cult.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
She's like, something wrong, something's wrong, and they're giving him
pizza at the end of the world.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
Yes, yeah exactly, but so so she kind of follows
and the woman. The woman leaves, and Sylvie goes down
the stairs and sees a room and and Lauran is
sitting there, and she's obviously very shocked to see him,

(47:01):
because you know, he's supposed to be missing. Yes, and
and and mister Red Flag comes in and says, we're
on the eve of something wonderful. You know, Like, Okay,
I know that I said that. I predicted that Lussang

(47:23):
was going to be a bad guy from since like
before we even saw him. But it really annoys me,
like how much of it changed there's been in his personality. Yeah,
it's way too dramatic, like suddenly yeah yeah, I mean
he was very charming and charismatic and you know, somebody

(47:46):
that I think almost anybody would find likable. Yeah, yes,
and now he's just weird and creepy.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
I guess we're supposed to see that. There was scenes
with disint She's putting the pressure on him, and he
was resisting a bit, but now he's gone fool. Who
did claw? He's gone fool baddie because of the pressure.
And you know, it's the it's it's the angel story

(48:18):
when you're a cult leader or the pressures that are
on your shoulder.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
That's what we should title this episode that the press
cut Leader.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
He should And I guess that's where it's meant to
show that, you know, power corrupts and and he's he's
given into their way of faith, that the faith must
have proof and that it's the only way. And I
can see that that would be a way that things go.

(48:53):
You know, when you get a group of people more
brutal kind of thing, but they could have done it
much more effectively and had more scenes of the people
more than just discentive other people, being the unrest that
was forming in the group and in the nest, and
that he was at a risk of losing his people,

(49:14):
he had to do something that would have been more yeah,
dramatically satisfying.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Yes, yes, definitely, Oh gosh.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
So at the plane, they they're they're landing in France
and uh and and Carol's very happy. She says that
Ash says that there are a hundred they're about one
hundred miles inland and tells her that that's that's France
down there. And he's kind of flying around looking for
a place to land, and then Carol spots a racetrack

(49:48):
and so they end up landing, landing there, And I
love I love the French exchange between them.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
I loved how happy Carol was when she got out
of the plane. I tried to, like, I was trying
to get a screen cap for myself to be like
to describe her expressions, but she moves about it so
much she can't get it. But there's just this general
feeling that she is happy, you know, She's like yay,

(50:21):
I did it. And to see Carol with that kind
of like energy is so refreshing and so lovely and
it's just that little moment and the French exchange is
just so nice because it's like Carol has.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
Hope, yes, yes, definitely, but yeah it's a ASHAs and
Carol says merce He's like, is that the extent of
your French? I might remember someone from high school. I

(50:56):
remember I took two years of French in high school,
and I remember the most random things, like I could say,
give me a pen.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Oh yeah, that's I can. I did two years of
French as well, and I can see Jibita Dundee, you know,
t on e cost which means I live in Dundee
on the River Tea in school. That's that's right, and
also vid in Orange Gina. For some reason, there's a

(51:27):
lot of orangina in my French school work. Interesting funny story.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
One thing that I remember one thing that I remember
from my French textbooks for my high school French textbooks.
The weirdest thing they there were, you know, there were
lots of photos. Because it's a foreign language book. There's
usually a lot of photos and foreign language books because
I help you understand for some reason, so I'm glad

(51:56):
that they included people inheel chairs in the in the
French textbook. Great inclusion, but for some reason, all of
the people in wheelchairs were reporters.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Did not expect the end of that.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Yeah, yeah, so weird.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
That was a worthy sided bar. Oh my an apologies
to thera any prage people listening for my horrific frase.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
Yes, wait wait, I'm sorry. I have one more. I
have one more funny story. So I forgot, like, so
my French teacher only spoke French in class.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Oh yeah, and so she asked.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
She asked me question one day and I can't remember
what it was about, and I was supposed to respond
appropriately in French. And I told her the tourists are
in the trees.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Yeah, well all the reporters are in wheelchairs, so you know,
the chairs are up the trees.

Speaker 1 (53:25):
That's why I should have come back with when she questioned,
the disabled people are all in If the reporters are
all in wheelchairs, why can't the towards be in trees?

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Yeah, that's what happens in.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
Little weird country man. Oh my god, okay, sorry, we.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
Needed this I'm sorry, we needed we needed this. Laugh.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Oh my god. Okay, So Ash Ash halls are we
that they need to stash the plane somewhere and Carol
tells Ash to to stay there and he's like, no, no,
you need me. You said you hardly speak French.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
And obviously, being the perfect man, can speak.

Speaker 1 (54:23):
Yes, yes. And Carol tells him that she doesn't want
anything to happen to the plane. And she says she
doesn't want him to get hurt. Get she doesn't want
him to get hurt because of her, and Ash says, no,
I'm responsible for myself. Let me help you find your daughter.

(54:43):
Carol says, I've been, you know, doing a lot of
things on my own. I'm good at taking care of myself.
And Ash says, well, you know they need more fuel
than that should take a while, and Carol tells him
that if she's not back in two weeks, don't keep waiting,
and Ash says, I'm not lee thing without you, and

(55:03):
we cry. I'm like, wow, that's that's such a that's
such a nice counterass and and this is the moment
where Kelly becomes a becomes a cash shipper.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Yeah, and I thought, when when she when Ash brings
up you know Sophia that she's going to find her daughter.
And this is on my repeated viewing of I went, oh,
right again now, because I was only thinking that Carol
really was worried about Ash. She didn't want another death
of her conscience. She didn't want to drag them all
out here and he died. But then I was like, Oh,

(55:45):
she's worried about finding out her life because she's gonna
have to go and ask people about Darling. And I
was like, oh, I didn't click on that the first
time I watched it. Both things can be true and uh.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
And she gives Ash Cheryl's crossbow, which which was a
great moment because I don't think it was supposed to
be symbolic of everything, of anything, but it's it's very
funny if you it is.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
Yeah, if we if we travel back to season ten
C and Leah's knife, which ended up meaning absolutely nothing,
which passed from Leah to Carol and we were told
pay attention to that significant and then it meant absolutely nothing.
So Carol giving Ashes Carol Darryl's bow is significant but

(56:36):
actually means nothing exactly.

Speaker 1 (56:41):
So we we get some lovely shots of Carol walking
through France by herself. Well, well, some French opera music please.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
Unfortunately it did not tell us what the song was,
but I couldn't figure out the words because it's operatic,
it's the stylized, and I would love to know what
it is because I want to know if it's significant
to Carol, you know, if it's it's relevant, because the
music choices have been fantastic this season, so I'm thinking
it probably is. And I love that we got this

(57:13):
because Daryl got that in season one. You know, we
saw these same beautiful shots of him crossing France before
he finds Isabelle and the abbey and all that stuff,
and I'm so glad they gave Carol exactly that same
space and place to do the same, to be in
this huge landscape. You know, we saw I don't know

(57:34):
what the places are, I don't know, I fan's very well,
but obviously significant French places and this little little of
primey Carol walking in front of them, and it was
just really beautiful, and I'm glad they gave that equal
footing to Daryl and Carl.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
Yeah, yeah, definitely, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
I liked that.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
Carol's walking around when a car approaches, she hides, and
then the truck gets out. May they hassle a guy
on the street, and then they toss him in the
truck full of food. And what's what's funny is uh?
When I was watching this back yesterday, I had already

(58:17):
seen the episode, but I you know, I mean, Carol.
Carol grabs it an apple and is eating it. And
of course that's so insignificant that it's not something that
I remembered after I watched the episode the first time.
So I'm doing my notes last night and I'm I'm
I'm watching the episode and I'm eating an apple, an

(58:41):
apple at the same time I'm eating an apple. It
was really funny, and you were like, oh, wait a minute,
you have an old messaging. It was just still not
not nearly as hilarious and terrifying as the time that
I was eating something. I think I was eating a
granola bar while scrolling Instagram and I was going through

(59:03):
my feed and Ross Marquan came up and he posted
this weird clip of him eating something and he was
making the same motion, like bringing it to his mouth
at the same moment I was bringing the granola bart

(59:24):
and I was a little terrified.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Are you watching me? Roll?

Speaker 1 (59:29):
I trade the hell out.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
And I've met him.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
He's one of the most lovely people, by the way, absolute,
like one of the kindest people I've ever met in
my entire life. But I've ever since that, I've always
wanted to meet him again, just so I could tell
him that story. But yeah, so Carol takes the apple

(59:59):
and she's so smart. Yeah she just yeah, yeah, she
pops a hole in a bag of grain so she
can follow it, like I would have never thought of that.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
No, it's just so cool. And I'm like, you know,
Donald's they are tracking. Oh, there's a footstep in the
mud and it's been dried, so it was three hours ago.
And she's just like, eh, just stop a bag of
grain and then we'll see where they're going. Nobody has
to do any hard work. I can just stroll along,
casulate me o free love that for cattle, yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
And then she's just you know, she's like, I can
take a break if I want to, No, big hurry, like.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Work smarter, not harder, Yes, yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
So we uh god, this this was so this scene
was so disturbing. Didn't disturb the hell out of you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
It made me think all the Hunger Games. I was
thinking of the movies, you know. That's that's why it
made me thinkful. And it's the kind of thing you see.
It felt very apocalyptic drama, you know, the kind of
thing you see where the reality of life is spelled

(01:01:15):
out in kind of a horrible week, depressing week.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Yeah, it's I mean, this is this is even more
depressing when I when I saw this, all I could
think of. Have you ever read Night by Elisel?

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
No? I haven't.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
No, I mean, it'll make you sob it's it's about
I mean, he was he was a Holocaust survivor. Well,
I mean I think he was like he was either
a baby or a very small child. And well, no,
he would have he would have been a small child
because these were his memories. And I just remember the
most horrifying, the most horrifying thing I remember from that

(01:01:53):
book is when he talked about them putting everybody, just
piling them up in the train cars with like no
room to move, and they would toss food in there
and people would just like literally be killing each other
to get and this this scene disturbed the hell out

(01:02:14):
of me because I just it just had those vibes
to it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
Yeah, we uh yeah, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
All of this is happening at Jenny's compounds.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
It's it's one of our Yeah, it's one of our
outposts because yeah, the truck so I don't know, I
don't know what it's called, but someplace that belongs to Jenny.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
Yes, yes, exactly. And uh so there's like a bunch
of people standing outside and and they've they've got bags
and boxes and you know, Carol at the laugh so
hard because like Carol hands over her gun and gets

(01:02:56):
a ticket and they're searching everybody where. The woman searching
her was just trying to look at her boobs, telling
the paddle.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
Wait is because her face was like okay, he just
basically opens her jacket. That's a like it reminds me
of that video of a security guard, I say, a
football football munch and he's supposed to be feeling everybody up,
you know, for something about their person, and he like
just moves his hands that it seems away from their body.

(01:03:29):
Like yeah, yeah, that was a kind of search cattle go.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Yes, yes, I think wasn't there something like that? Do
you watch Key and Peel?

Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
No, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
I don't feel like there was a sketch in Key
and Peel like that where like a bunch of of
people were walking in with guns and they were like,
you're like, all right, go on, go on, go on,
And like some you know, perfectly harmless person comes in
and they're like, you know, padding him down everywhere. But yeah,
the woman literally just just open your jacket.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
She will have some kind of weapons about her person.
She'll have a knife in her boot and a range
in her bra saddle.

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Yeah, exactly. So a bunch of food is brought out
and and people just you know just send on it
like Darryl fangirls, like Norman Rita's fangirls, and uh, you know, Carol,
Carol's just kind of watching on and they they say

(01:04:37):
that this is what mys own mayor offers, hot food,
water and pleasures and a return of order, and anyone
willing to volunteer for Janet should get on the truck.
So they they, you know, they're putting people on the trucks,
and the guards are kind of like, you know, separating

(01:04:58):
them out, and Carol hops into one and she like
she kind of has a little tussle with with one
of the with one of the guys, but she ends
up getting put She ends up getting put on a

(01:05:19):
truck and one of the one of the women says,
she's got guts.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Yeah, she's trying to climb in one truck and the
guard pools it her and she ends up going being
put in another truck and it's giving A and B vibes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
Yes, you know, very much, very much. Uh so there
is a there's a couple, Remy and Julian, and they
try to get into the same truck but they're separated.
And uh, back at the nest, flew, Well, we're not
back at the nest. We're across the water from the nest.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
You don't want to hear this discussion, skip, I don't know,
twenty five minutes, might be here for a while.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Yeah, yeah, if you don't, if you don't want to
hear about the ah god about this scene, Yeah, just
just just skip over this part. So Flu, Darryl and

(01:06:29):
Isabelle can't get across to the nest because the tide
is the tide is up, and Flu says he'll he'll
go make a parameter and Daryl and isabel are talking
and she's like all the years I believed in that place,
and it was you know, I thought it was the
one thing that would save us. And she says that

(01:06:52):
the one, you know, her one job that she promised
Lily she would do is protect Laurent, and Darryl assures
her that they'll go get him, and then Isabelle, Isabelle says,
then we'll go with you if the office sill stands,
meaning they'll she'll go. She and Laurent will go to
the US with him. Yeah, And you know, Darryl just nods,

(01:07:17):
and Isabelle says that there's a word in French, des pisson,
which means a nice change of scenery that makes you
look at things differently, and Darryl Daryl repeats the word
and he's like, yeah, I like that. And then they
just they look at each other. There's absolutely no build

(01:07:41):
up whatsoever, and then they have the most awkward, horrifying
kiss I've ever seen. I was so uncomfortable watching this.
And okay, let's put a side for a second, the

(01:08:01):
fact that that I ship Carol and Daryl, yeah, that
Carol is the only one that he should ever be kissing.
Let's put that aside for a second. Okay, Yes, if
he was kissing Carol. I I would be excited about
it because it's Carol. Yeah, But speaking objectively, watching Darryl

(01:08:26):
kiss anybody, it's extremely uncomfortable. I'm sorry it. I hated it.
It was so uncomfortable to watch it to what.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
It made me feel like was two fourteen year olds
who are in the school play and are told they
have to kiss the fleet, and you know how they
do that thing when they're standing really quite far apart,
So they lean into kiss and they just are of
marsh mouths a bit and then come apart. And that's
what it felt like. Now. I have seen Norman read
in other roles kissing that is not Norman Readers's usual kiss.

(01:09:07):
So the choice is that he it was a Norman
was very uncomfortable himself, or more likely litter say that
it was an acting choice. And Norman has recently spoken
in Impress about for preparing the world for this scene
that Daryl doesn't know what he's doing and he just

(01:09:29):
is sort of fumbling his way and he's awkward and
all the things. So if that's what he was he
was trying to get him come across, it works. He
does come across as someone who is a young person
who has never kissed anyone, doesn't know what they're doing
to be graphic. He doesn't open his mouth, she does,
but she just looks and reminds me of something that

(01:09:51):
happened in my childhood. Childhood that sounds coopy teenagehood. Oh no,
they were like, she's caused her mouth kissing in school.
It's never good. It was high school. Let me reference that.
I was yet I'm not really a traumatized childhood here.

(01:10:13):
But even though I suspect Norman was doing that deliberately,
all it did is just making an awful, awful kiss.
I was watching somebody had had tweeted, a journalist had
tweeted that they're looking for the best team kisses, and
I was like, oh, what would mine be? And I
couldn't think, But I was looking at the recent one

(01:10:33):
with Colin and Penelope in Bridgerton, where Penelope has never
been kissed, and they she asked him to kiss her
just so she can kiss month before he dies anything,
and they kissed. It is perfect. It is sweet. It
is you know, rising sensuality. It is two people who

(01:10:54):
get lost into it and it's their sexiness and you know,
it's everything. Then this case, it's like the other end
of the scale, and there's there's no emotional build up
to either. When we consider how an episode one, Darrel
was like, no, I'm still going home bye. I'm thinking

(01:11:16):
about the people who are thinking of me, you know.
And now he's like, eh, let's give it a shot.
The man. Yeah. God, I was just to say she's
only going with him because Lauren is in danger now
when she when he wasn't, she was like, no, no,

(01:11:37):
this is my life. And now she's having a doubt
about her what her life is, and she's like, oh, okay,
I'll come with you. She's his second choice.

Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
So weird. How how much of Yellowjackets have you watched?

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
I have watched all season one. I haven't seen season
two yet because it's on Paramount. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
Ah bummer. Yeah there there is like, off the top
of my head, the best kiss that I can think
of is there's one between uh Tian Van adult as
adults adults Okay, yep, and it is like the best

(01:12:18):
TV kiss I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
Cool, Okay, I'm looking forward to that then, and.

Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
I feel like I need to watch that that kiss,
This kiss yes, I just.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
I just don't know what we're meant to be thinking
about Dyld's mind at this point. I have no idea
what his mindset is. And what Norman Readis has said
is something about the fact that all this awful stuff
keeps happening to Darld and he's like, oh, maybe there's
this chance of happiness around the corner, and he's just
he is really giving vibes of he's just trying out

(01:12:57):
and Okay, that's putting. It's not coming across on street.
It is completely baffling how the darrel who days ago,
one assumes a couple of days ago wanted to go
home and was only thinking about the people he's left
Bine is now like kissing. And this is what I said,
I would draw a line under and bring up later
a woman who compared him to his abusive father. Yeah,

(01:13:22):
not that long ago, a couple of weeks ago. She's
saying to him, you need to be responsible for this child.
He's basically now your son, by the way, and if
you leave him, you're just like your abusive father who left.
That is a horrific thing. Does he do an abuse
victim and her At the time, I thought oh, this

(01:13:44):
is an interesting line. If we're meant to think, oh,
she's so blinded by her religion, she'll start saying stuff
like this and it's heartless and cruel and that then
we would see how she would become torn between the
gin and what she wants. And you know, even her
character description said that that she would be confused and

(01:14:05):
shorn aboutter feelings. None of that is on screen. It's
just she's abusive Tim and Daryl's and I'm like, oh, you, well,
you're still here, Let's kiss, Like.

Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
I'm I'm I'm going to uh, I'm glad. I'm glad
that Darald Dixon is not a real person, because if
you were watching this, he would find me so hot
right now?

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
All the red flag, Yeah, this is what Darld Dixon looks.
Worry woman, Yes, after Leah and yeah, it's yeah, it's
just so I keep using the word o bleak. It

(01:14:51):
is so obleak. There's an opeak. There's just nothing that
tells us exactly what Daryl is thinking. Carol's bought here,
and her motivation and her mindset is crystal clear all through.
She's here to get to get there. She desperately needs
him emotionally, she thinks he's in trouble, but she's also
dealing with her The loss of Sophia is simmering underneath that,

(01:15:13):
and she feels that the weight of that guilt that
she didn't say Sophia and of all the people she killed.
That's all on screen. What Daryl is feeling is I
don't know, I really just don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, agreed. And meanwhile, Carol's you know, Carol's
Carol's like taking a trip to France with this this
super dude.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
Who says, I won't leave without you. Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
Well anyway, after that, after that, uh god, that uncomfortable weirdness.
We uh, we catch up with the saying and Jacinta yes,
and he says uh. Dick Hart says doubt is the
origin of wisdom and was saying says that we'll we'll

(01:16:11):
go through with the plan. It'll work, but we'll still
have to deal with Darryl when he comes back, and
Jacinta tells him that Daryl isn't coming back and that
she amended the order. She told him that Daryl was
an obstacle and it should be done now, and was saying,
is is actually very angry about this. Yeah, he uh,

(01:16:35):
and you know he kind of gets in her face
and is yelling at her, and he's like, what what
about the others? Isabelle and Falu, they're not part of
the plan, And you know, asks her, is this who
we are? Who we want to be? So he's he's
clearly he's clearly conflicted a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
Yeah, So if his if his mind wasn't so warped
by this cult mentality, he would probably be a good guy. Yeah,
but you know he's not because he's a twisted computer.

(01:17:12):
But you know, just in it says what what we
all want to be as certain? Without that everything falls apart.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
I wonder if that I bolded that line in our
notes because I was thinking, I wonder if that's you know,
we're we can apply that to Darrel as well, that
you know he has doubts. We know he has doubts,
and so with with his doubts about where he belongs,
which I thought we'd sorted out in season three. But anyway,

(01:17:43):
that everything falls apart. So without because he's doubting, everything
has fallen apart and he doesn't know what he's doing.
But that may just be me predict.

Speaker 1 (01:17:54):
Yeah, definitely. Carol is in the truck with with Remy
and introduces He introduces himself in h He actually introduces
himself in English, right, Yes, he does, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
And she's he says, so he says, sorry, toy. He
bumps her and she says it's okay, and so he
understands she's American. Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:18:19):
Yeah. He explains that he was an English teacher, and
Carol asks asks him where they're going, and he tells
her about Madame Janey and uh, he said he was skeptical,
but you know, it's it's hard to argue with with
bread and wine. And uh he said his husband has

(01:18:40):
lung problems and he heard that there might be a doctor.
But you know, he's but Julian's Julian, his husband is
in is in another truck, and you know, he's he's
a little he's a little concerned about that. And of course,
as they enter the compound, the the truck doesn't follow,

(01:19:01):
it goes in a separate direction, and you know, he's
a little panicky about that. For good reason. A female
pauvois goes goes down the corridor to the room where
Caderna is being tortured. You just you hear him screaming first,
Like you're like, it's so funny because when I watched this,

(01:19:22):
it didn't when I heard the screaming, it didn't click
right away that it was you know, I.

Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
Just thought it was janitalized screaming. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:19:31):
Yeah, you know, who knows there's probably like eight hundred
people screaming in there.

Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
But uh.

Speaker 1 (01:19:40):
She tells Jane that they've got nineteen volunteers, and she says,
Cadern knows nothing, and she she goes into the room
and the uh, the woman leaves, and Jane tells Cadrone that,

(01:20:03):
you know, she she's his his right she's her right hand,
and it could have been him, which we thought it
was going to be. Yeah, yeah, I mean that's what
it looked like, yeah at first. And you know, she
says someone once told her to never give in, and
she tells him a story about how her mother was

(01:20:24):
a waitress and taught her how to tease out a
cork and you have to be patient and you have
to not be too forceful with it, but also not
be too gentle, and you just have to use patients.
And then they drive a cork into Cadrone's hand. He
is a mess.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
Yeah, the guy is just he's cut up everywhere. Yeah,
I mean they really didn't number on him.

Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
You know, he's not saying a word.

Speaker 1 (01:20:55):
Yes, that's a guy, that's exactly yeah. Yeah, I mean
they're driving a cork into his hand and it's that
like I feel like that's not probably not the most
painful thing they've done to him.

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Yes, but he screamed.

Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
He is absolutely, he's an absolute mess. I mean, like
I'm looking at this guy thinking, how is this guy
even alive? Right now? Yes, yes, they did a number
on him. Jane asks him where is the nun, the
boy and the American and and while they're torturing him,
and he just screams, and then the camera goes over

(01:21:39):
and shows, uh, what is his name? I always forget
his name? Oh yes, Oslan's pocket watch that he gave
to Darryl with the nest on it. And Uh, it's
it's interest seeing that, Like, I mean, I'm guessing she

(01:22:04):
hasn't seen that.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
Yeah, or just hasn't click. I don't know. I'm not
very bright detectives. Are they give us the answer?

Speaker 1 (01:22:17):
I mean, you would think that she would like you
would think that she would have sent people if she
saw something like that, You would think that she would
have sent people to go check it out. Yeah, yeah,
like because that could be a clue. Yeah, very very strange.

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
Yeah, sorry, that was me. I just dropped my tablet.

Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
But but of course it of course Caudron had it though, yes,
Caudron had to watch. So I don't know how much
that means necessarily.

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
Yeah, maybe she just assumes it's it's you know something, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:22:51):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
I do think that Cauldron's Change your Heart at the
end of season one was a bit abrupt because we
don't get into his mind. You know, it's meant to
be a shock at that moment, like, oh, he's not
killed them and he's letting them go. But I think so,
I think it would have been nice if we'd had
more time with him to understand why changes his mind

(01:23:18):
and why he's I mean, as you say, he's absolutely
destroyed and yet he's not giving them up, and so
why when he wanted to kill Darryl, And obviously it's
to do with Lauren. He wants Lauren to live, But
what is it that's changed him? You know, I would
have liked to have had more because Romayne is such
a good actor and just amazing presence. I would have

(01:23:40):
liked more of his that terms about you know, even
if if we saw a flashback or something that would
help us understand why what Laurence said made him change
and become so adamantly he's just going to protect Lauren.

Speaker 1 (01:23:56):
Yeah, I feel like there should be a backstory there
that makes him as sympathetic. Yes, I mean he well,
he clearly got He clearly got involved with with Jane
for the wrong for the wrong reason, not just because
he mistakenly believed that somebody killed his brother who didn't,
but but also just because I mean that was his

(01:24:18):
only purpose for getting involved with her, Like he wasn't
concerned about hurting other people or you know, like he
just wanted to find Darryl and kill him. Yeah, but
it's but yeah, it's it is a little confusing, and
I it would be nice to it would have been

(01:24:38):
nice to like get a little bit more of a
backstory here.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I would like to have seen
you know, maybe in episode one or something, you know,
because we saw that moment in episode six and then
you know, dramatically, they couldn't have done it then, but
he could have done it here shore or this episode

(01:25:01):
to show why he's holding out so hard. Yeah, that
would have been.

Speaker 1 (01:25:07):
A good.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Instead of the Greenland pair, which I didn't really enjoy.
But you know, I think I would have sacrificed them
for more of his back story.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
Yeah, yeah, for sure. But it's but it's nice to
have him back on the screen now.

Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Yes, yeah, and and it's Shardy. Yes, she's just incredible.
She's just so she just owns it, if you know,
so believable as as someone who people would follow. Yes,
And and a contrast to the Sang. You know, the

(01:25:47):
Sang has that genial break. Hey I'm lovely, but she's
just strong.

Speaker 1 (01:25:53):
Yeah, very much.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
So.

Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
She has like she just has the most sinister looking
smile I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
She does oltho when we saw her on the night
carpet last night. She also has a beautiful smile in
real life. So it shows what a good actress she
is that she can just make that smile. So.

Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
Yes, I could not believe in the in the red
carpet photos. I could not believe how tall she looked.

Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
I know, I mean she was wearing heels, but I
think everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
Was so, yeah, she looks so she looks so tiny
on the show. Yeah, yees, you know, it's very Yeah,
I was really surprised. Yeah, it was like it was
kind of like when I when I first when I
met Tonight to Nagarira. Yeah, like she just has such
a presence on screen, and and like I never thought

(01:26:45):
of her as like somebody tall or anything like that,
but she just she has such a presence. And then
I I got to meet her and I get in
front of her for the first time, and she's so tiny.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
It's like this tiny little thing.

Speaker 1 (01:26:58):
I mean, I mean she's Bluff's buff.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. It just it just shows
you how much her screen presence gives her, you know.
It just I just to go back to the kiss.
I just remember something else I wanted to say, which
was when we had Find Me with the Leah story

(01:27:26):
and on the Talking Dead afterwards, the actress said that
she thought, oh, had it not been for COVID, we
would have kissed. And the writer was like, no, now, New,
New New, you were never going to kiss whatever, And
we were like, oh, that's awesome. They're saving Daryl's first
on screen kiss for somebody important. I'm not a lot

(01:27:50):
even talking about let's say it's Carol. But Norman has
spoken for years and years and years that once darl
falls in love, that's it. It's all over. He's one
person made for life, Penguins, flamingos, he uses many, many metaphors,
And so I had assumed, and a lot of people did,
that Daryl's first guess would be with that person. And

(01:28:14):
I don't believe it is. And I just don't know
why they thrown away that's hard on something which a
story which seems insignificant in the long term. I'm trying
to spoilow anything that comes forward, but you know, it

(01:28:35):
doesn't feel like this is Daryl's one tumor, put it
that way, And so I don't understand why they gave
away that thing that they were holding. Is that as
a as a special moment, is Darrol's first or speed And.

Speaker 1 (01:28:50):
It's yeah, like I really I don't understand it. I
am the only Yeah, I don't, like, I don't know
how to say too much without no, I know, we

(01:29:11):
yes very hard, so hard, but yeah, I mean we'll
be able to say more to you. Yeah, but it's
just it, Yeah, it's really hard right now. But we'll
we'll be able to I'll be able to say what's
on my mind. Yeah, in a couple of weeks fortunately.

Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
But it's yes, it's just we will talk more about
the significance of this moment and you know, the grander
scheme of things, once we're further down the story.

Speaker 1 (01:29:40):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so in in in the meantime, I
you know, I'm sorry for.

Speaker 2 (01:29:49):
That.

Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
There were so many like people who saw it because
a lot of the season got leaked unfortunately. Yes, well
the whole season got leaked by AMC.

Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Yes in yeah, yeah, put the whole season up. Oh
my god.

Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
And there were so many just so many awful comments
about you. I mean not not just from Carolyn Daryl shippers,
but like everybody just and how bad that kiss was.

Speaker 8 (01:30:23):
Yeah, you know, even even Darryl alone fans, you know,
Darryl the lone Wolf and things who don't ever want
him to settle down, and you know, fandom of who
wanted Daryl to be asexual and our demisexual.

Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Are like, well, what is this about? Why? And this
is my biggest question is why have the writer chosen
to do this knowing that would be the reception They
know that people are not going to react well to this.
There will be some people who ship Darryl and Isabelle,
and that's great. They might enjoy this scene, but you know,

(01:31:03):
by the end of the season, uh, you know, I
I just don't understand the mentality that they thought this
particular scene was so vital in this And again, we'll
be able to talk about a more feelings as it
goes along.

Speaker 1 (01:31:20):
But you know, I'm glad you brought up the the
demisexual thing, like, because I'm you know, as somebody who's
I'm more demi romantic than demisexual, but as somebody who
who is that. That's one of the things that made
me so uncomfortable about it, because yes, yeah, that's how

(01:31:41):
Daryl seems to me, you know. And like, I mean,
you know, I've like I said, I'm more demi demi
romantic than I mean, I mean, yeah, I'm more demi
romantic than demisexual. Like I've had now trying to to

(01:32:01):
make myself sound anyway here, but I've had plenty of
one nights dance.

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
Let's share.

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
I was a theater girl. I mean, you know, theater
people are a little very affectionate with each other.

Speaker 2 (01:32:25):
But that kiss.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
That is not something I've I've had many times in
my life, like a kiss like that where it's not
you're like just kissing somebody romantically and not trying to
hook up with them and you're not together with them,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:32:44):
Yeah, as someone who was.

Speaker 1 (01:32:45):
Demi romantic, I haven't had many moments like that in
my life. And so it was, you know, because I
see Darryl as being the same way it was, it
was just very weird for me. It was like it
was just very and you know, as.

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
I say, it's the way that Norman has presented Darryl,
and it's like it's like the contrast between Daryl and Carol.
Carol seems able to have sex very freely with no
emotions attached, and that you know that comes from all
her years of being my ed, that she's managed to
separate those two in her mind, that it's you know,
just our body and not her heart and soul kind

(01:33:22):
of thing, and where Darryl is the exact opposite. He
you know, even in a very recent interview Normalties, it
takes Darryl years to fall in love with someone, to
love them, will stop, not just fall in love, but
to love somebody and so only then can he be
sexually intimate with them. That sex is a really hard

(01:33:46):
thing for Daryl to do, to be vulnerable with sex,
and that seems so hitting and so right with Daryl's
history that we know, with his abuse, and it's past
that that he you know, he was regarded of his body,
and so this just seems so opposite to the Daryl

(01:34:07):
we know that after two months to two three months,
he's just like, well, let's give it a gold kiss.
And the grown raises the question why did this never
happen before other than Leah and and you know, in
the nine years previous to that or whatever it was,
why did he not show a single iota of sexual

(01:34:31):
interest in any other woman?

Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
Because there was a constant battle in the writer's room
about Darryl and Carroll. That's exactly why. Yes, yes, that's
exactly why. It's so ridiculous. I mean, and we know
this from things that the writers have said.

Speaker 2 (01:34:50):
Yes, yeah, Glenn Mazzara has spoken about it, and LaToya
Morgan has spoken about it.

Speaker 1 (01:34:59):
Yes, Yeah, it's I mean, it's it's kind of like
if they Yeah, it's it's kind of like they they
were saving Darryl for Carol.

Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
Yes, yeah, that was what it felt like. Yes, and.

Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
I feel like it's way too late to deviate from that.

Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
Yes, yes, you know, to throw out and just going no,
it's it's just Donald can just kiss anybody he's attracted
to him, and it's showing an interest. Why not?

Speaker 1 (01:35:34):
Yeah, it's it's just very it's very strange.

Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
Why did he know? And I hate to sound like
a Connie Chipper Donny and Connee Donald and Corney Chipper,
but why didn't you show that interested Connie?

Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
That would have made more sense.

Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
It made I would have made absolute sense. Connie clearly
liked him, whether if she liked him romantically, it's not
entirely clear, but it's up to your interpretation. Donald liked Connie.
They were very good friends. Why on earth didn't he
kiss her or let her kiss him or they kissed together? Yeah,
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:36:06):
That absolutely, Like that would have made way more sense
than this.

Speaker 2 (01:36:11):
Yes, absolutely, And that in me is as an absolute
dyeing the would Carol Shipper saying I would have preferred
Donnie to happen Daryl and Connie to happen than this.

Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
Absolutely, absolutely, because at least it would have been coming
from somewhere.

Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
Like it would have sent. It would have fitted with
his character that he's known her for a couple of years.
They settled at Commonwealth. Everything's fine and settled at Commonwealth,
and no he's fight he's not fighting his young adult life.
And there's this woman there. So he's like, hey, let's
make and I want things. As Norman said, Darryl's fed

(01:36:53):
up of everything being miserable, so he thinks, let's try
something happy. Why not. I'm writing about why Donald and
kiss Connie? What does the world come to?

Speaker 1 (01:37:10):
We're holding a podcast together where we're talking about shipping dining.

Speaker 2 (01:37:17):
That's what we've been Oh my god, I love it.
I love it so much. I do apologize. We've been
largely hysterical in this episode, but I really wanted it,
so you know, I only half apologized.

Speaker 1 (01:37:38):
Oh my god, Like even Darryl and Aaron would have
made more sense.

Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
Absolutely, absolutely, of course.

Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
I like not for not continuing on with with that relationship.

Speaker 2 (01:37:52):
Yeah, that was why. That was just And this is
an example of the Walking Day the Walking Dead writing,
and it's exactly the same in this spin off. It's
brilliant in part and horrifically bad in parts there. You know,
everything we're seeing with Carol, we absolutely love. It's so
well written. And everything we're seeing with Daryl is like
what what, what's going on? What we meant to think

(01:38:14):
he's feeling, And it does make you think that there
is a behind the scenes wrangling, and so there's a
confusion of what the messaging is coming across and from
Norman and as as Darryl and from the writers. They're
just it just yeah, there's more scenes. We'll talk about

(01:38:36):
that as they happen.

Speaker 1 (01:38:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm very pissed that, you know, they
could have given him, like if even taking care of
out of the equation. They could have given him a
woman who looked after his dog, or who gave him
a motorcycle. Yes, made him cry, Yes, yes, I mean

(01:38:59):
cry like for like, because he cared about him so much,
and and they instead they gave him somebody who, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
God, Conny would never Yes, So I have a suggestion.

Speaker 1 (01:39:22):
It popped into my head today.

Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
Okay for the m v P and LVP. Oh yes, okay, yes,
the m v P.

Speaker 1 (01:39:32):
Yeah, the Darryl's Best Award and the LVP the Suspenders
a ward, Yes, I like it. So who gets your
who gets your your angel wings? Best?

Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
My angel wings go to Oh this is a hard
one this week, but I think I think it might
have to just be again for being so you know,
understanding of Carol, and he's like, bless him, he so
definitely wants her to find her daughter. And you're like, oh,
there's not a lot of m vps fully for being

(01:40:16):
awesome and kicking a meal, you know, when he's a
waiting to shoot dada. So maybe let's let's I said
ash last week, So let's say I'm not being strangled,
Yes exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:40:33):
How who's getting your my suspenders go to a meal?

Speaker 2 (01:40:37):
Dirty dirty rat? You sold everybody out so you can
get back to Sylvie and you left her again. Your
your typical man.

Speaker 1 (01:40:49):
I'm agreeing with you. I'm I'm I'm agreeing with you
across the board.

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
What a disappointment. Yea, not even like I said, not
even like I cared much about him, but like, god damn,
she was gonna let the blue die the best character
in the show other than Carol. My god, what an idiot.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
It's not that we're andream were just really disappointed.

Speaker 1 (01:41:21):
Yes, very much. So Sylvie deserves better. Yeah, women on
this on this show deserves better, Sylvie and her.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
I don't understand why they're pouring into glossip filk. That's suspicious.

Speaker 1 (01:41:33):
Yeah, okay, okay, so we latmos intolerant cult.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
We have so many subtitles for this episode.

Speaker 1 (01:41:44):
Oh my god? Yes, all right, do you have anything
to add?

Speaker 2 (01:41:49):
No, talk to people's ears off all.

Speaker 1 (01:41:56):
All right, guys, but we will see you next week.
And when remind me when did the episodes go up
on AMC plus Sunday?

Speaker 2 (01:42:06):
Sort of midnight Sunday? I think Sunday, so.

Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
Our recaps will be available shortly after that. Yeah, is
when I'm going. I think so, because I think I believe, well,
you know what, I need to check the embargo, but
I think it's okay to post as long as you
say that there's spoilers and right, okay, yeah, I believe
that's the case, but I will double check, so I
will put them up as soon as AMC lets me

(01:42:33):
put them up.

Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Just take that up, and we hope we've helped you
through this traumatic time.

Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
Yes, yes, I know with MGM because from airs earlier
and they have an early release, and then I know
with with that they have to they're they're basically letting
everybody post their recaps right after that the early showing, yeah,
and just saying, you know, it's spoiler filled for that episode. Yeah,

(01:43:05):
but yeah, so I will double check on that, but
we will put it up as soon as we can.
All right, everybody, we will see soon.

Speaker 2 (01:43:16):
Take care,
