Dearbhaile matched with a man claiming to be an Aer Lingus pilot - he definitely was not a pilot but definitely was actually married with kids. For two weeks, he spoofed about his job, travels and life as a pilot, until Dearbhaile found out the truth and put the fear of God into him over text. A year later, he popped up on MY Tinder, this time photoshopping his head onto a pilot’s body. We chat through the full story, how it all unfolded, and share some tips on spotting red flags and making sure someone is who they say they are before meeting up.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
To give people some backstory. A couple of years ago,
in October twenty twenty three, when I was on Tinder
flicking through the profiles, I had come across this fella
and I'm not going to give his surname, of course,
whose Tinder profile was his head photoshopped onto an air
LINGUS pilot's body. And obviously I thought that it was
fucking hilarious, so I screenshot it and then I kind

(00:33):
of blurred out his eyes a little bit because I
was like, okay, like, you know, I don't know what's
going on with this fella, so I'll give him a
bit of privacy. And I made a TikTok about it,
which took off. And in the picture, the pilot is
wearing a lanyard with his ID on it, and when
you zoom in, like it is blurry, but you can
see that it's a totally different man altogether, obviously than

(00:54):
the man who has just four shopped his head onto
this body. So it was just a funny post and
I thought, this fella is some yoke. He is lying
through his teeth in order to get a woman, and
I was wondering what he had intended to do, like
if you had met a long term partner and then
you know, they were going along and she knew what
he was up to all the time, and you know,
was kind of questioning why he's been flying no planes

(01:16):
or what is the quack with that piloting thing. So
you Dervla follower the page replied to me privately saying
that you had been talking to him months or a
year prior, and you've a whole story to tell about that,
and we're going to get into it in a minute.
Later on in the evening on the TikTok, a lady
comments on the post, saying, I just came across this
profile and he's after removing that pick laughing face, So

(01:39):
I knew that he had found out about the post.
Then the next day I get an email from him
and his name is Dara and that's all I'll call him.
Subject line illegal video with legal at TikTok dot com
ce Seed saying, Hi, I need urgent assistance. There's a
video online on your page that looks like me. I
have reported it to my local garden station. I'm hoping

(02:00):
you can assist me with the location of the person
or whoever may be involved with it. Money thanks, Stara.
He also followed me on TikTok then and shortly after
the video got removed after being reported, So I uploaded
a new video to Instagram with the information that I
had gotten from Dervla and other women about this man.
To keep it going, I captured the video with I've

(02:21):
had a few women get on to me about this fella.
It's not the first time that he's been caught out
pretending to be a pilot. His sister commented, saying, these
are all lies. That poor man and his family being
tortured because someone else is using his face and making
fake profiles. That's what you need to be talking about.
She also private messaged me saying that last video you
post is a lie. Please help. Someone has made a

(02:42):
fake Tinder account of my brother and has photoshopped pictures
of him, saying he is a pilot. I would really
appreciate it. Thanks. Now you might be wondering why I
didn't believe all of this and think that this poor
fella had fallen victim to some weird scam where somebody
else photoshops his head onto a pilot's body in order
to make him seem more attractive and and get more
women and more dates. So it's because Dervla had filled

(03:04):
me in on some shock and stuff the day before
when I had put the video on TikTok first. And
this isn't the first time that good old Dara was
caught rotten pretending to be a fucking pilot. Dervla, take
it from the top, how you met and what happened afterwards.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
So I originally began speaking to Dara the year prior
to that, so it was twenty twenty two, so you'd
be talking about August September time, the end of August
September time, and we started talking initially on Tinder. The
crack was good, like, the conversation was flowing. It was
coming up that there was a different sequence and of

(03:39):
mileage if you could say, like, and he was saying
he was in different countries, so that was fair enough.
You know, kind of took that on board because it
did say on his profile that he was a pilot.
So he said originally that he was in Dubai and
then he was now back in Ireland working for Erlingus.
So funnily enough, I had friends that worked in Dubai
and worked for Emirates, so so I had said my

(04:01):
friend's names to him and he said, oh, yeah, yeah,
I know them. So obviously I text my friends in
Dubai sent his photograph and all of them were a
bit like, h I don't know, I don't know, like
maybe he is. So they actually put it into like
a crew chat over there, and everybody was like, we
don't recognize him, like I don't know who he is,
so maybe he's from somewhere else, or maybe he's getting

(04:21):
confused with ETIAD or you know, one of the others.
So it kind of started from there. We swiftly moved
on to kind of snapchating here and there. He was
sending me snapchats of like him building the house and
telling me all about building this house, and he was
sending like aerial photography and stuff. And one day he
sent me a particular snapchat with a baby in it

(04:42):
and I was like, oh, I was like, who's the
little child and he was like, oh, that's my nephew.
And I was like, oh, right, okay, I'll get that
later on. But he, you know, we've had about different things,
and slowly, but surely, you know, it progressed it lets
me up, lets me up, and I was like okay,
and he was kind of pushy and he used the
word rumble. Let me up for a rumble, and I
was like okay. So he told me that he was

(05:03):
from a border area, let's say, from the south of Ireland,
and I was like, what does rumble mean, Like obviously
I'm from Upper North and he was like, well, you
know what it is. I was like, sorry, if that's
what you're looking for, I'm just not that type of
girl or not that way inclined. So he kept pushing
it and so we changed his mind. He said, okay,
let's be up for coffee. I work as a nurse,

(05:24):
so I was like, look, I'm on nights for the
next three nights, so I can't. So that was fine,
and he said, look at I am going. I'm flying somewhere,
but maybe I can swap flights and get back early
and meet you. And I was like what. And that's
where the red flags kind of started. I was like that, like,
I know I have friends who am family, who are

(05:45):
let's say, in the airline business, and you can't just
swap a flight like that. He can't just willing nearly
be like oh, I'll meet you tomorrow for a coffee, like,
there's a lot involved in the airline industry and it's
not that simple. So I was like, oh, so I
kind of pushed his buttons a little bit and I
was like, what do you mean, like meet up earlier?
Can you meet up? He was like, oh, well, I
can slap flight to somebody else. They maintain and this

(06:06):
composure that I had at this point, I was like oh.
And I was like, and where you flight? So he
kind of said to me his first flight was in
Chicago and he was sending me different snapchats from there
with the filter on, you know, where it was, et cetera.
Now it's not I know for a fact, it's not
that hard to change your maps on Snapchat as to
where you are and what you're doing. However, he then said,
when you wanted to meet me for a coffee, that

(06:28):
he was going to Paris. And I know for a
fact and anybody else who knows in the airline industry,
you either do trans Atlantics or you do European flights.
You don't mix bag as a captain. So then I said, oh, right, okay,
and I was like, how did your Chicago flight? Oh,
kind of we started asking probe and questions, and he
was like, oh, he's like, I took a break. I
had somebody who was a shooting pilot with me and

(06:48):
he has to clock up as errors. But you know,
you're satify. I went down to the back of the
cabin to talk to the cabin cry and I was like, what,
like they you know, making and yeah, and he actually
sent you snapchat well on board with the wing of
the airplane. And I was like, no, like that's definitely
not like I had alarm bells in my head. And
I was also telling my colleague the.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Wing of the airplane, so he was halfway down.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Halfway because basically, yeah, he was like, oh, I took
a seat, like for a while, to take a break.
So the captain of the airplane was taking a seat
beside the wing of the plane, and he also went
down the back to speak to the cabin crew, like
when have you ever.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Been sitting down halfway down with all the randomers And
imagine imagine me sitting there and the fucking pilot captain
comes down sits down beside me. I'll be like, who
the fuck.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Is driving the plane? So I was like saying this
to some of my colleagues, like about things that had
progressed and this sort of like behavior and carry on
that was gone. And one of the girl was like, oh,
I go and meet him for the crack and start
asking him. And I was like no, I said, there's
just something not right about this guy. So anyway, he
kept pushing to me up and all of a sudden,
then he was in Paris. So I decided to call

(07:56):
on people that I knew in Erlingis and I told
them the flights that they were on, and they were like, obviously,
like hold on a second, like we can look them up,
like we can see exactly who's on what flight, and
so I was like okay, So gave him his name,
asked him what his second name was, and he actually
gave me the name of a captain who is in

(08:17):
aer Lingus. So he was impersonating somebody else. So in
between this, he also liked to drop in that he
did the flights to China. Do you remember to get
ppe for nurses, etc. Yeah, okay, okay, I knew people
on those flights. Everybody. It's not that hard to google
those flights. There was only very few flights and went
over and back. It was the same crew that went

(08:38):
over and back. It was very exhausting, particularly his healthcare staff,
like we were looking at them. So I decided to
google the flights to see if there was any truth
in what he was saying, and I couldn't find him anywhere,
and I was like, so here he is trying to
pretend that he did these particular fights and he wasn't
on them for aer Lingus, but the actual Dara Murphy

(08:59):
was if that makes sense, yeah, So I was like,
this is really bizarre. Like normally, and my friend who
is a nurse as well, like he was Italian. He's
very up and honest. He dates a lot of people
and he would be the first person to google someone,
you know, if they say there's someone X, Y and z,
He's like, okay, I'm going to follow up because of
their LinkedIn or whatever. So obviously then I went on

(09:19):
a bit of a spain and I was like, I
can't find him with his picture anywhere. So when I
asked him, I was like, oh, do you have social media?
Do you have friends? And as apart from Snapchat? He
was like no, I don't. I was like, okay, fair enough.
So that was really it. He told me, then his flight,
so my friend went on. She went looking to see
this particular Jara Murphy on this flight. He said he

(09:41):
had gone to London and then to Paris for a
stopover and then he was coming back again. So my
friend went on, looked at all the London flights, No
Darren Murphy. Then she went on to the Paris ones,
which was Charles de gaul Airport, which was the only
one that day. No Darren Murphy. Then she looked at
the crew on the flights, no Dia Murphy. So at

(10:02):
this point, like me and my friend were in coots
and she was like asking more, asking more, asking more,
and he didn't realize that I knew what I knew,
and I was like, there's something really wrong here. So
this was I think this is WHEREMI sat as my
second side of night and this is like my second night.
So I was sending different passions, be like oh and
are you staying there? And he's like, oh no, well
the planes are being grounded. There's an issue. And my

(10:24):
friend was like the planes already back in Dublin, like
what And he was selling to be snapchats with the
area of you know where he was like say in Paris.
At that stage, it was all different areas and stuff,
but it was of like construction sites, if that makes sense.
It wasn't of planes or airports or anything like that.
And I did at one point stage to me, oh,
send me a picture what your captain's had on, Like

(10:45):
I really want to see it. And he's like, oh no, no, no,
that's that's only for when things get serious. And I
was like, oh my god, this is pathetic.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Jesus.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah, So then that was fine. So I was going
to buy herd night and work and I was like,
I've actually had enough. This shaft was like he sent
me on a wild goose chase, or so he'd thinks,
And I said, there's something drastically wrong here. So that
being said, I went into work. I screened. I think
he kind of got drift that I was giving im
probing questions about where he was, what he was doing, etc.

(11:15):
You know, the different areas of where his plane was,
and he got spooked because at that point he deleted
his tender profile. However, I had already screenshotted his tender picture,
so I decided to reverse image it. And when I
reverse image it a completely either from Darrek came up,
so the first picture and sublie enough, he used his

(11:36):
profile picture that was his profile picture on his LinkedIn
and the same or his whole profile came up and
I figured about them. So the men and I figured
out what his actual second name was. I went on
then and I found him on Instagram, Facebook, everywhere, and
I could see everything. So when me and my friends
went on a great witch hunt, and the girls I

(11:56):
was working with thought this was hilarious. They were like,
oh my god, because we could find like obviously his
plan and permission. And we obviously found a woman's name,
because if you type in his name into Google, everything
comes up everything. So we found this woman's name. I
locked her. His Instagram profile had her in it, but
obviously there was no link. I couldn't find it. I

(12:19):
locked her up on Facebook and lo and behold, it
was his wedding picture a month before that. So I
obviously said, before is fucking insane. I just got married,
Like just got married. There was a baby in the photograph,
Like I was shocked. I was just I thought myself, like,

(12:40):
this is insane, Like there's something wrong here. I said,
either he's extremely unhappy or has a case of small
dick syndrome, or like he's leading that girl down the
garden path. I don't know, he's living a double life.
I really don't know. But I had found in that
twenty minutes, I had found everything out, So he wasn't
a high He was actually like, I don't want to

(13:02):
say what is he worked in construction sites, Let's just say,
and he did travel for the company that he worked with,
but he wasn't a pilot.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
So then we're amazing saluting by you there and with
the reverse image search, and also some serious stupidity on
his side because obviously he did a bit of investigating
into the kind of like a little bit into piloting
and flights or just generally how things work, but wasn't
aware that other people were able to like.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
See who was on the flight. Yet I'm like not
linking that, you know, I had friends and emirates, so
not linking that I potentially could have, you know, friends
or family in air linkers, because all of us are
one person away from knowing somebody that works in their lingus.
It's a huge company, And I was like, is this
chap actually for real? And even the things he was

(13:48):
coming out with like he's like, oh, a student pilot
and he has to do so many airm mileage. And
I was like, all right, but we all know what
you have to do to your student pilot license, like
ego private, then ego commercial, or you go through the
internship that they're given. But just the things that he
was saying, like it just didn't make sense to me.
And like I said, for him, you know, if you're
a captain in Emirates, you cannot go and come straight

(14:09):
back to here and go to captain in our Lingus.
It doesn't work like that. You have to start from
the groundhop Whereas he was just saying little things that
just didn't make sense, and I was like, no, like
that doesn't work. And obviously I was drifting back to
my friends who worked in the airlines and they were
like what, like who is this chap And obviously my
friend as well, who worked for our Lingus as a
captain as well, was like who is this person? So

(14:33):
the fact that he was impersonating a friend of his
as well was sending him a bit loopy too. So
I was just like, this is extreme, Like this is
an extreme case. A calf fish and somebody else, if
that makes sense. I compersonate in somebody as in a
different company that could potentially get him into trouble, if
that makes sense. So I let it go that evening

(14:54):
and I said, look it, I'm going to work now.
I'm gonna leave it be after my break and I
was like, I'm going to text him in the morning.
So I got home the following morning, I put my
phone onto airplaye mode. I screenshoted everything so he didn't
get the notifications. And I confronted him about it, and
I said, you know, I sat his name. I was like,
Dara Dar Dar, where do I begin? And I started

(15:15):
with you said you were a captain in airmirts, then
you were a air lingus. And I went on with,
you know, the little drops of the story that he
got wrong, and I going out.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Can I rea out the text You're really gotten by
the balls. With that text, it would put the fear
of God and me. Now if I received something like that,
I tell you right here we go, Dara, Dara, Dara.
Let me start off by pointing out the fun exciting
bits of this. You took a picture beside a wing
on board a flight. Then you said you do Transatlantics,

(15:47):
then European flights as a captain, a few years in Dubai,
three years and you were a captain in air Lingis.
That's where it all started. It was particularly fun when
you said you were on flights as a captain and
we could see you, weren't you wanted to swat flights
to meet me for a coffee. Another red flag stayed
over in Paris overnight, that flight was already back in
Dublin to then suddenly you were in Milan. Then I

(16:09):
asked you your aircraft number twice you ignored it because
it didn't exist, to then telling me your second name
was Murphy. Next time, you might not want to pick
a girl as smart or a girl who knows Darrin Murphy,
the actual Darren Murphy captain and Erlingus. Dara has been
informed his identity is being used on the screenshots of
the conversation sent, including your Tinder profile, and is looking

(16:30):
into taking things further further to this, I now know
exactly who you are, that you have a wife and
a child at home in that house you're building, or
are you. I'm currently contemplating sending her absolutely everything, as
she deserves to know whilst also sending hr of your
company what you actually do on work trips. Last, but
not least, if I ever see you on another dating site,

(16:52):
I will be sending it all onto social media accounts,
whistleblowing on Irish lads like you cheating behind their wives backs,
and I'll take huge settisfaction in doing so. The fact
you thought you could get away with this and continue
to carry on so delusional you need psychiatric help. Clearly
you are very unhappy or just to have serious small
dick energy boo. Your wife and child deserve better.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Excellent, And I also attached a picture of the wife
and child's profile, but just to that a I knew
everything yet and when in seconds obviously I turned off
my airplane mode at that point, and in seconds he
popped up.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
He read it, and I was blocked. A while later
then I had gone home, obviously and went to sleep,
and I was because I wasn't going to tolerate anymore
of putting up with his crap, he could say. But
after I got up a while later, I went on
and I was blocked from his wife's account. So I said, obviously,
he's scrambling to delete every ounce of evidence, everything and

(17:54):
I just said, like to myself, you know, how stupid
can somebody be? And I really wanted to send him
a message that you know, you can't do this to
particular girls, Like some girls are actually going to look
up exactly who you are and what you say you are,
like not all girls are going to take that lying
down and say oh yeah, grand like, especially when you're
saying different things that don't make sense. So that was it.

(18:15):
I couldn't see anything else again. I was blocked from
everything basically, and that I thought. At that point I
got him by the balls. I was like, why he's
never going to do that again? That was it final story,
you know in this blah blah blah, So let it go.
I had let it go. I was like, I'm delighted
with myself. You know, that's one for the girl team.
At least you won't do it again. And lo and behold,

(18:38):
I'd say six weeks I actually may have jobs at
the stage. And six weeks in I got a message
up my Facebook and it was that morning, and it
turns out it was his wife, and I didn't know
what to do. I kind of locked my phone, my
froze and she was like Hi. She's like, why are
you blocked on my Facebook? And I was like, oh
my dear god, what am I going to do? So

(18:59):
because a new job, I was like, I can't really
like answer the phone, you know, And then I started,
I'll leave it later on till I finished, until I
get out, and then I'll I don't know how to
approach this, so, because obviously no girl wants to be
in that position where they're telling somebody that their husband
or boyfriend is doing something, you know, behind their back.
A because half them deny, we may make you look

(19:20):
like a grabshite, and b then some people could just
call it other girls crazy. And we've all been in
that position where we've either seen it or been in
that position. So I said, right, I'll leave it. So
I sent her a nice message and I just said, look,
if you'd like to call me, I can explain everything
as to why I'm blocked. So she did, and it

(19:40):
was a bit early, so I was like, look, can
I call you back? And I was sending my numbers,
So she did and I rang her on the way
home and I explained everything and she was actually really nice,
and she was like I knew there was something going
on because he was acting completely different the last couple
of weeks, which is what made me suspicious, and that's
what made me go looking. So obviously it brought her
to looking into her block. That's how she found me.

(20:02):
So when I told her everything, I sent her everything.
I sent her all the screenshots that I had because
I kept them, and she just said, look at you know,
at least you're smart and you'd actually look up these things.
She's like, I actually don't know how many girls he's
met up with. And all I could do is honestly apologize,
Like I was like, what, you don't know what else
to say because you feel like I was ruining her life.

(20:24):
You know, things will never be the same after she
tells somebody like that again, whether she believes me or
she's not, you're still always going to have that shredded
out in the back of your mind, like I've been
there before. And obviously I could hear a baby crying
in the background as well, and I just felt terrible.
So I just said, look at if there's any more
information that you want, She's like, no, please send me
on the screen shots. I want to see exactly what

(20:44):
snapchat account it is. Blah blah blah. So I sent
everything on. I didn't hear anything then after that, and
she just said thank you very much and that was it.
So with no communication.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
But and the other girls that she had come across
or anything like that, were you the only proof that
she had.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
I was literally the only proof that she had. Basically
she just had that. She just said he was acting
much different. So I said it okay, And then lo
and behold, obviously I'd been following you for the last
while and then I seen him pop up in your account,
only this time it was his face air brushed onto
a pilot's body, and I was like, no, please, don't

(21:21):
tell me, like, it can't be. And then when I
seen the other photographs and then obviously you had, you know,
zoomed in and the fact that the id bads were
completely different to the head that was on this and
it was so clearly photoshopped as well, and I was like,
it can't be. It actually can be, and lo and
behold it was him again.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I can't believe. I just can't believe that he went
for a round two with the pilot thing after you
had caught him. Yeah, and rotten like that first time.
I wouldn't. I would never talk about pilots again, never
mind try to impersonate one. It's absolutely crazy that he
had the goal to go back and do it.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
So I remember seeing it up in your page, and
I had messaged you at this stage, and I seen
on your page as well. You know, his sister was
commenting and going, he's been impersonator. You know, somebodys trying
to run in his life. I'm sorry, but like, who
of all people would want to impersonate him? Like nobody
knows him. I don't know him, he's on anybody. He
was actually impersonating another pilot who is very well known,

(22:15):
has a great career, you know. And I was like,
what is going on here? So I actually commented back
on your page to her and I said, I was
one of the women I know exactly you know what
was what? And I said, and she did try and
follow me, but obviously I didn't accept her. I was like,
you know, I don't know what else I have to
prove here, like and I did say in that comment,
I've spoken to his wife. I've sent her everything of
what she needs to know.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
I have your comment. Heer now because I loved it,
and fair play to you, like, you know, for replying
publicly to the sister and like putting her in her place,
because a lot of people would just leave it. But really,
like you gave her the truth, and everybody else who
saw that post read the truth there. Yeah, so the
sister had said that it was all lies and all
that basically, and you said not really, I was one
of these women, and he used the identity of a

(22:57):
friend of mine that is a pilot. He also had
no problem to that. His wife contacted me last year
and I told her and showed her everything. I have
no problem going to the guards with everything I have.
They can access where logins happened by a tinder. If
he's so worried the only person torturing his family is himself,
he has no problem giving in the actual person's name
who he could get into trouble. But now that he's
brought it onto his own doorstep, he tries to deny it,

(23:19):
and then his sister deleted her comment. Then obviously she
didn't want that up there because you had, you know,
showed it to everyone in black and white what is like?
But his family obviously enabled him to do that stuff,
because I don't know if it was my brother, you
know who, If I saw my brother folk shopping his
head onto a pilot's body and he was saying somebody
else was doing it to him, M'd be a.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Bit like, h yeah, yeah, come on now. And that's
why I said, I goes you need a psychiatrical because
why would you go to those lengths again, do you know?
And to be like at the time as well, because
that girl will put up that comment. I took it
upon myself and I said, I took the link of
what you put up and obviously the comments underneath it
and that, and I sent it to his wife and

(24:01):
I said, I think you deserve to know that this
is here, and because if that was any of me
or any of my friends, and I would want to
know that there's something else publicly up because you obviously
you have such a large following, and you know there's
so many girls on there that are single, like myself, dating,
et cetera. And she just said thanks very much underneath it.
So I don't know, Like obviously at that stage when

(24:24):
I sent it to her, she just had another baby again,
so there was two kids in the mix. So not
only was she married, only a month and she said
that to me on the phone as well. She's like,
we only got married a month ago, and I like,
I just felt like somebody had my heart in her
hand and they were squeezing it. I was like, I
don't know what else to say, like, I'm so sorry.
I just want to reemphasize the fact that I didn't

(24:46):
meet him, I didn't do anything. I didn't go there.
I told her about him using the language or of rumble, etc.
And I was like, I'm not that type of person,
and that's not what I'm looking for, So I think
it's for her. I just said to myself, you know,
I would hate me on the other side. But obviously,
if he's go around using the story of that was
a me, somebody's using my identity, like why and why

(25:07):
didn't he go to the guards? That's why I said, like,
I'd be happy to go with the evidence that I
have to the guards and let them figure it out,
because we all know they can source IP addresses, et
cetera of what they're doing and let's see who's right, Like,
go ahead. And I think that's why her comment was
quickly deleted after that, because why else would she start
rumbling and saying, you know, oh my, that's my brother.
And you know, if that was my brother, like guards

(25:28):
prove that's not yours, you know, figure it out because
it's your life, you know, in the balance here, your wife,
your kids, et cetera. But and then obviously, you know
I he obviously had my mobile number, so you know yourself,
you can be blocked from Tinder or bungled or any
of them by use of their person's mobile number. So
I've never seen him pop up again, but I have

(25:49):
heard through the Greek mind that one or two people
have seen them on there. So it's like, as I
said to you, it's like the series of unfortunate want
to be Pilot events. And me and my friends have
actually nicknamed him the wanna be Pilot because we like
to nickname all the lads, you know, to try and
keep up with where like what they're doing and what
they're at. But we like he is an iconic story
between all of us and what happened and the way

(26:12):
he did things. And like he did say at the time,
he's like I own a house in Dublin and I
go between here and there, etc. And you know why
of things. So I can only imagine, like with the
way he's going to different countries, if he is meeting
other women and he is on dating websites, and the
sad thing men's who have said.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
He's popped up, like he's just popped up with his
own pictures on different dating sites, just normal pictures.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yeah, same pictures without the pilot title. We obviously are
aware now that he's deleted all his social media, so
there's no link to find in his wife. Now that's
how obviously I figured out the wife between the Instagram
picture and then he googled his name and his planner
remission and everything come up, so like he needs to
really reel himself in. But for all we know, he

(26:57):
could be using a different second name again.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
But I got a couple of messages asking me to
take it down for the sake of the wife and
the child, so I did. Then kind of wanted to
keep it up there obviously, just to keep other women
safe from him, because he didn't seem to be deterred
from what you had done to him. So this is
all getting brought up again because I got a message
last week on TikTok from a lady who is now
seeing him and I'll read out the text. So she said,

(27:24):
there was a guy called Dara on your page before,
but it got taken down almost right away. Now I'm
so confused. I've met him and stuff. And then told
my friend and showed her a picture of him and
she was like, oh my god, he was on the
dating Orange page. Now I'm like, I don't know what's what.
He was on an aeroplane. If that narrows it down
for you, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping
you could tell me it was all a misunderstanding and

(27:44):
he's okay. Lol, Please keep this synonymous. Thanks so obviously,
I replied, saying like, yeah, I know exactly who it is.
Nothing good to say. Unfortunately, fat shot the head onto
the body. He has a wife and kids there. He's
done it a few times tour and I took it
down because she was humiliated. And then she said, just
seeing this and it's completely thrown me. I've met him
here in London lots. He works here. He works for

(28:06):
a certain type company and travels a lot with them.
But are you one hundred percent sure? Sorry, I'm just
shocked lol. I asked him about a profile a few
weeks back, and he gave me a story about somebody
pretending to be him they photo shot his picture onto
a pilot's body, et cetera. And then I sent her
back a big, huge message just basically to say that
I had been in touch with this girl, Dervla, and
she had given me she'd been talking to him for

(28:28):
a few weeks where he was doing this impersonating like,
and she talked to his wife and everything, and I
really just wanted her to know that, like, you know,
he even though he's a weirdo who was photoshopping his
head onto a pilot's body like he and he maybe
split from his wife now I don't know, but he
did this to his wife, so like, even though he
may be single, now, look at what he did there,
Like she just said repeatedly, Yeah, yes, she just said

(28:51):
so so weird, gobsmacked, And she didn't seem to be
giving me much there, and it really appears to me
that she was quite happy with him. And I don't
know she's going to listen to what I've said there, unfortunately, Yeah, And.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Unfortunately, I suppose that's probably what I would like to
convey in doing this with you, is just that girls
need to validate who they are, what they are, and
what they say they are, because you just unfourteen nowadays
you just don't know. But with the online footprint that
everybody leaves and what you put up there, it's so
publicly obvious and so publicly available, you know, the ability

(29:28):
to reverse image shirt to somebody, or even the corner
of a photograph or even typing in someone's name, there
is a footprint and everywhere you go. So I suppose
for me, I am that type of girl where somebody's
married or you know, they have a wife and kids,
whether they're telling me it's a story that they're separate
or whatever, I'd have to confirm that because I just
wouldn't go near that. That's just my morals. And I

(29:52):
suppose what her ringing me as well, that really shocked me,
Like I've never been in that position before either, and
I'm thankful, you know, nothing progressed between us and I
had the ca on to you know, seek it out. Yeah,
you know, so I suppose that kind of put me off.
And then hearing the stories have been popping up again
and again and again, and I just said to myself, like,

(30:12):
you know, is the dating sites worked it anymore with
people like this on it, because you know, you just
don't know anymore. This is the problem. There's no verifying,
there's no no one. And obviously that girl now in
the UK like dating him thinking he's the best thing
since sly spread and lo and behold he comes back
here and lives a double life. And by the way,
I just wanted to add that video that he sent

(30:34):
me walking down to his new house. His wife actually
told me that was his daughter in the video, So
he was sending me snapchats with his child, pretending they
were somebody else's child, and I just thought, you are
not mentally well. And then obviously to say, you know,
to people, that's not me. Somebody else is trying to
use my identity. Like if somebody had tried to calfish me,
I think I'd laugh because I'd be like, I'm no one,

(30:55):
Like who do you know? What I mean? Why would anybody? Yeah,
And then if it got to that stage where it was,
you know, dangerous, I'd be like, hang on a second,
and a report of the guards so they could follow
up on it. But nothing's been done. He keeps popping
up and obviously it's like that. It's like what I
said to you when a weird messing, you know, it
is that series of unfortunate want to be pilot events.
He keeps thinking he's not going to get caught, but

(31:16):
yet here we are.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
I hope to this girl now that he's seeing see
since his wife, like, hopefully she did kick him to
the curb after, you know, the second time that you
got in touch, and hopefully she's happy out and you know,
thriving with the kids and all this luck to her.
But you're saluting there. Just tell everyone. I suppose, you know,
maybe the actors listening to this who don't do much

(31:38):
searching on fellas, so you would advise them to you know,
reverse Google image search. Yeah, you're just doing that via
the Google search.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
I suppose the first thing would be like go with
your gun instinct. Like for me, they were tellomy things
that didn't make sense obviously being around people who were
in an airline industry, like I'm a nurse, but I
would not know everything that there is there. So obviously
I back to my friends and followed up there and
be like, do you know this person? Et cetera. Then
when things really started to go with skew. I was like, right,

(32:06):
I'm gonna image reverse search this on Google and then
you know, type in it. Then I you know, when
I figured out what his actual name was, I typed
his name separate into Google and everything came up then.
And like you could even type their real name into Instagram, Facebook,
you know, LinkedIn anything and everything would come up. The
first thing that came up was a LinkedIn because it

(32:28):
was the exact same photograph as the photograph of using tender.
So that's how I found out what his real name was.
Then when I went in at Google, his actual name,
his planning permission came up where he was at a party,
you know the way the local papers or like they're
at a party here, or you know, different things. And
I remember thinking to myself, you know, I worked around
the country during COVID just as like an agency nurse

(32:50):
as well, and I was like, like, I was down
there as well, and I goes, you hate to think
you want to bump into these people again, not in
that sense, but like anywhere that you could be your
it's someone close by. You just don't know who you're
talking to. Ours always kind of look up and verify
who you're talking about my friend is a big advocate
for googling exactly who they say they are, and I've

(33:11):
taken up what he does and since then, you know,
you can kind of see who they are, where they've been,
what they've done. Everybody loves you, right, you don't know
who the fuck you're talking to. And on Google Search,
so basically anybody doesn't know how to do it. If
you go onto Google dot com, then there's just in
the little searchy place, there's a microphone icon, and then
there's a camera icon, So you click on the camera
icon and it gives you it opens up your camera

(33:33):
and you can you have an option there to just
to the left of the shutter button to upload your
own pictures. So if you have screenshots from his page,
you can look it up and see see what else
comes up on Google from that. Yeah, I say there's
loads of women.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
I say, there's fucking a hape of women that didn't
do the research that you did and have gotten wearing
grumbled by this man an unfortunate rumble.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Unfortunately that didn't the term. And here we are, so
because somebody is going to put it in a Reddit
post or somebody could do anything and that's the problem
with an internet footprint nowadays as well, Like that's all
it takes is one click, one video, one image search
and everything comes up about you. So I suppose it's
to be careful about what you put up and put
out there, but also to be careful about who your

(34:17):
potentially going to date. Get their information, get their credentials,
as in like where did the work, what do they do,
and you can search that as well. But in a
way that saved me from potentially meeting somebody because we've
all been there where we've met somebody off you know,
a couple of meshes and tender, it's gone to WhatsApp,
you've gone out in the first date, had a couple
of drinks and it's been great, or it's a ornay

(34:37):
and you've left at that, But do you actually know
who that person is
