in Charleston. Good morning, welcome to the show.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
Good morning.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
I may have you put that microphone in front of
you there if you don't care, there you go, prop
it up a little bit. There we go, all right,
there we good morning. Thank you for being here, Thank
you for being here. It goes a little bit of
background on spoblist. It's very successful business, not only here
in Charleston Smith Street, but also in Beckley. Give us
the overall view of spoblists.

Speaker 7 (02:46):
Sure, I'm from Beckley. I started it there, was in
business for about five years and moved to Charleston. Started
all over with just myself as a staff member, my
daughter and one massage therapist, and have moved several times.
Bought a great warehouse down town and we now have

(03:07):
around sixty staff members.

Speaker 6 (03:09):
Wow, I realized you had that many people aboard there. Wow,
that's that's great. Talk about the different we'll break it
down specifically because I want to learn about this, but
we'll talk about specific some of the other stories. Overall
the services that you offer.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
There, we absolutely offer everything. It is a full day spot,
so we massage, facials, pedicures, manicures, lash lashes, hair removal.
We have that Lotus room that's infrared saunas and steam rooms.
We just added a brand new medspa on the third floor,

(03:45):
so the spa goes from the first floor all the
way up to the sixth floor.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
But for regular complex there isn't it.

Speaker 7 (03:52):
It really is. It's a true experience to come in.
Everybody is friendly. It's not the kind of place that
you walk in and you feel like it's some kind
of stuffy a spa that you know. It's just we
make everybody feel great. They're there, they're relaxing. It's just
overall we try to make a very nice experience.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
And this is a learning experience for me because I
know very little about this, but I'm learning with the
listeners right now. When you said the eyelash thing, this
is huge right now, it is huge. Talk about that
it is.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
We've been doing lash extensions for fifteen years, so we
were pretty much about the first people in Charleston to
offer them. It's amazing because you feel like you're waking
up with makeup. You don't have to do anything. If
you have lashes, you don't You just really don't even
need anything.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
Else, you know. I think a lot of times when
people think about spa services, they think, as you said,
it's very stuffy, it's very very very vain, and so
on and so forth. But you see all types of
people with just a couple of things done, with a
lot of things done. And you see men we did
talk about your mail client to.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Our male client, tell is huge. We you know they
of course we have the hair salon, but also we
probably have just as many men that get massages as women.
We try to get them to do facials and pedicures
as well, but you know, well and they do some.
But yeah, it's it's I have twelve massage therapists, male

(05:20):
and female massage therapists, so yeah, we have something for everyone.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Really, if someone is interested in maybe learning more about this,
do you offer like if somebody just wants to come in,
I don't know, consultations the right word. But if you
just want to come in and say, well what do
you offer and what what can I get? You kind
of take us through that. Absolutely.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
The front desk is very informed on everything we do.
They're happy to show everybody around, give them a little
toward the SPA, our new MEDSPA. We actually do free
consultations and that's more, you know, services that go along
with skin resurfaces.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
A series medspas.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
Yeah, we're real excited about it. I mean it literally
just opened. We have all the news technologies for the
MEDSPA and yeah, it is a free consultation and there
is usually something there for everyone. Painless services all the
way up to skin resurfacing and making you look ten
years younger.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
So well, I need that. I definitely need that.

Speaker 8 (06:17):
We all did.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Talking to Kathy Rubio Spoblst. The Dave Alan Showing five
eighty Live is brought to you apart by your hometown
baseball team, the Charleston Dirty Birds, the Selango Law Light
the Night continuing over at Gomar Ballpark through January the first,
every night except for Christmas Night. Get your tickets in
advance by visiting Dblightthenight dot com I want to talk
just a tad about the business and about and about
you because you're somebody you're on I think Charleston City Council.

(06:40):
Your business though, is involved with Charleston Urban Works and Kurra.
I love it when a business is not just a business,
but it's involved in the community. Talk about that.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
Yeah, I decided to run for city council just because
of the you know, downtown. I feel like it could
everything could be better in the Warehouse district in particular,
and thought I would really like to get more involved
with the community. So I did that and it's working
on great. I've loved my experience there.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Yeah, well in getting and my point is is, you
know I've talked about the Charleston Nervoorgers and these other
organizations that you believe in getting involved in in the
community and giving back to the community.

Speaker 7 (07:22):
Right, Yes, exactly. It's been a great experience and cure
is actually you know, they actually help I'm sure people
know they take old buildings and try to help business
people start a new business and things like that. So
it was just exciting for me to think that I
could help be involved.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Well, when I have we had these buildings in Charleston,
some of these older buildings, and they've got so much character, Kathy,
I mean, so much architecture. They don't build them like
that anymore. With all due respect to we have some
great architectural companies here in the valley and we I've
had many of them on the show. They do, but
they'll even tell you we just we just don't build
things like that anymore because you just can't find the

(08:02):
stuff like they did back in the day.

Speaker 7 (08:04):
No, that's our place. It's a warehouse and I love
our building. It's over one hundred years old.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
You know.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
The floors are solid concrete that are fourteen inches thick,
and it's all brick and concrete and definitely, yeah, it
was made with love back in the day. They definitely do.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
You know the history of the building, Okay, we're gonna
give us a little bit that I do.

Speaker 7 (08:22):
It was originally the produce warehouse. The train tracks are
directly behind it, and there it was a loading dock
all along the back of the building and all of
the produce for Charleston came into that.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
Warehouse location one location.

Speaker 7 (08:38):
Yeah, the old scale that they weighed the produce is
still in the building. It's originally standing there.

Speaker 8 (08:43):
It's a beautiful Yeah, that is awesome.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Now we all know this I said earlier, Kathy, people
of all backgrounds use spas. But I will say this
to the guys out there if you're looking for a
great gift, and to the gals, because we know the
guys use the spot too. If you're looking for something,
no matter your sex of or for your significant other,
it's Pobless would be a great place to go for Christmas.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
It really is. It's more than just buying somebody an object.
It's actually buying them an experience. It's something that people
don't spend the money on.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Themselves a lot of times.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
And we can make a great little gift package where
you know, we could throw a candle in there, or
jewelry or skincare along with a gift card and it
is absolutely I think.

Speaker 8 (09:25):
The perfect gift.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
I mean again, you can just basically just walk in
and just say, okay, here's what my person I'm buying
for likes could be a parent, could be a cowork
or whatever. This is what they like. You take it
from here and you can do that.

Speaker 7 (09:39):
That's exactly right. We see people come in and they
just look totally confused, and it's usually mess.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
I'm gonna say, I'm not gonna type cast. I'm not
going to stereotype, but let's face it, they probably are
big stinky men.

Speaker 7 (09:54):
They are big stinky men. Sometimes they smell good, but
you know, they definitely look have a look of a
dumbfounded you know, like I don't know what and we
scream help, nope, and we certainly do. We tell them
everything we have. We have awesome packages that are discounted,
and usually we head them in that direction because the

(10:16):
gift card you could buy for a package which would
be like a massage, a facial, a pedicure, all of
our relaxing services. But if they don't want to use
it for that, they could use it for anything they
want because it is a dollar amount, so you can't
go wrong. It fits everyone.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Well, let's talk about your hours leading up to Christmas.
Where we are at.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Sure, it's nine am to nine pm Monday through Friday.
I'm sorry, eight am to eight pm Monday through Friday,
at nine until six on Saturday, closed on Sunday, but
we are going to be open Christmas Eve as well.

Speaker 6 (10:48):

easily give us a call. We could sell your gift
certificate over the phone and send it to your email,

purchase a gift certificate and print it out from home.

Speaker 6 (11:06):

social media websites, you get that stuff. I'm sure, Oh.

Speaker 7 (11:13):
Yeah, we have it all. We have our Facebook pages, spobless,
our Instagram is spobless. Wv you could go to any
of those. Look at our services, people's experiences.

Speaker 6 (11:24):

Speaker 7 (11:25):

Speaker 6 (11:26):
It's been a pleasure having you on the show today.
Leave our listeners with like the final final thirty or
forty five seconds. I'm giving you a little airtime here
just to just sell your business.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
Okay, would you like me to sing?

Speaker 6 (11:38):
Look, we just came off of our WVRC Media Christmas
party over at the Roughner last night. Some of the
singing that came from there. We need good singers right now.

Speaker 7 (11:50):
So you walk in Spa bless you just vision your
day of the at the spa. You walk in, they
give you a robe and sandals. You go up to
the dressing room. You change clothes. There's showers there, there's
places for women to take a shower to dry their
hair and men as well. Go down to the fifth floor,
get your massage, and then you go out to the

(12:12):
relaxation area and have some hot tea and a little cookie.
Go your esthetician will pick you up from there and
give you a facial send you down to the fourth floor.
You get a pedicure, manicure, your hair done. So it
is truly, like I said already a couple of times,
it's truly an experience. It's not just come in and
grab you and give you a massage, but it's truly

(12:35):
a place that you could rely.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Charles's really lucky to have a place like this. I
mean really it is, because people travel hundreds of miles
for this kind of service, and they probably pay a
whole lot more for it too, including the gas to
get there here right here in Charles.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
Yeah, we're the largest day spot in West Virginia and
probably the Tristate area at least. So yeah, we've tried
to make a great place for West Virginias and local people.

Speaker 8 (16:39):
Well, my wife takes care of most of it. All
I'm left with is basically her.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
I was going to say, you got to take care
of her or nothing else gets taken care of in
the future. Just so you know, all right, you has
to come on the show today because you have an
announcement to make.

Speaker 8 (16:51):
I will turn it over to you. I do, David,
thank you for having me today. I'm just on here
to announce that I'm running for the state Senate in
the seventeenth district. Okay, next year, I will be running
in the Republican primary.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Okay, why are you running?

Speaker 8 (17:06):
The number one thing is jobs and economic growth. I
think we've done some really positive things in recent years
in terms of economic development economic growth, but at the
same time, I don't think we've gone far enough. One
of the reasons why I ran for the House of
Delegates was jobs, job creation, getting government out of the way.
And my main motivation is that I want to create

(17:29):
more jobs, have greater economic opportunity for all West Virginians,
and I think we're not doing enough with that. I think,
oftentimes down in the legislature, and I saw this firsthand.
You were there, Yeah, I was there. In many instances,
a lot of the special interests got in the way
of true economic growth. So, for example, one of the
things I saw when I was down there is oftentimes

(17:51):
larger corporations advocating for more government. I saw that down there,
and I think the reason for that is and I
think part of it is just self interest. Larger corporations
can absorb the costs of regulations more than smaller businesses,
and what that does oftentimes is that by having more regulations,
it helps weed out the competition for large scale major corporations,

(18:15):
and I think one of the things that we can
do is make life easier for smaller businesses because frankly,
that's where a lot of economic growth comes from across
the country. Small businesses here in the Kannaga Valley are
the lifeblood of our economy. That's where new jobs come from,
that's where innovation comes from. And the neat thing about
smaller businesses too, and I know this because I'm a
small business owner, is that we have the ability to

(18:37):
turn on a dime a little bit faster than a
bigger corporation. So that's where a lot of innovation comes from.
And we need to make sure that we are growing
the economy, helping out smaller businesses, helping out all West Virginians,
and I think that's a key component.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
Talking with Chris Sprett, who has just announced he's going
to be running for State Senate as a Republican in
District seventeen, explain the district to us.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
Sure, this district consists of if you're going from up
at Elk View, goes down through Elkview, Cissonville, Eastern Kanaal County,
north of the River, gets all of Charleston, South Charleston
then it goes out into Saint Albans. That's that's essentially
the district. And on that side of the county near
north of the river, it's it's it's up in that area.

(19:20):
Then once you get down South Charleston and then in
the western part of the county kind of south of
the river. Uh Dunbars in the eighth but yeah, uh
South Charleston, St Albans, all of that is in the district.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
And we mentioned that before. You were in the in
the House of Delegates, and and that's not uncommon sometimes
people will be in the House and then they transition
to the Senate. What talk about your experience in the
House because you were a relative newcomer to politics, you
know when you when you got elected and you went
in there. So talk about your experience in the House
and some of the maybe some of the things that
that you were proud of or that you accomplished that

(19:54):
you think will also now turn to make you a
good state senator.

Speaker 8 (19:57):
Well, I think the tax cuts that was one of
the main things that we were to achieve. The tax
cuts were monumental. We were able to get those through.
It helped out all West Virginians. I think that was
a big thing. The Hope Scholarship, that was a big thing.
School choice, that's something that helped a lot of families.
That's something that I think is going to push us
forward going into the future. School choice, whether it's no

(20:21):
matter the type of school we're talking about public school,
if we're talking about private school, across the board, providing
for more school choice. I was very very happy to
be a part of that. And I think making sure
that we are leading the nation when it comes to
energy production. I'm really happy with a lot of the
things that we were doing there in the legislature in

(20:42):
terms of having, above all all check all the boxes
when it comes to energy. I'm a big advocate for that.
I think that's something else that we did. We need
to have. I think government needs to be neutral when
it comes to just about everything. It needs to be neutral.
In terms of energy. We shouldn't be playing favorites. For example,
with the so called green energy, I don't think they

(21:03):
should get special treatment. And I think we should make
sure that we have the best resources possible in terms
of our energy production. So those are some of the
things that I'm very proud of.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
And you know, one of the one of the issues
that West Virginia has had is population lost. Now, we
have seen in some areas some gains. We've seen announcements
from places like New Core and things of that nature,
which has certainly certainly helped. But how do we get
people to want to either choose to move to West
Virginia or and specifically we'll just talk about your district, yes,

(21:36):
or how do we get people that are here to
stay here? Specifically are young people.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
I think a key part of it is broadband. I
think that's one area where West Virginia can greatly improve.
I mean when people move here. I talk to people
all the time who are moving, and I do a
lot of estate planning with my business. I'm talking with
people all the time that are moving to West Virginia
because they love it here. We have a low cost
of living. We have of like right here in the valley.

(22:01):
I mean, you have everything you need. My mother in
law just moved down here from Buffalo, New York. I'm
from West Virginia, but you know she's from Buffalo, New York.
She moved down here, loves it, absolutely loves it. We
have a low cost of living, but there are things
that we can do to tweak this to provide for
greater opportunities. Broadband expansion is one, if we can get
a lot of those younger people, people who can I mean, look,

(22:24):
the economy in the future is going to be such
that people can live just about anywhere, and we have
to make the case in West Virginia that this is
a place where you can have all the amenities that
you have in other places, but we have the added
benefits of some other things as well, a low cost
of living, access to the outdoors. The new Ever Gorge
is right next door. We have great hospitals right here

(22:46):
in Kanau Valley. Those are some of the things that
I think we can do. I think that's going to
be the key to it. And also too, making sure
that if businesses are going to relocate here, if people
are going to move in, that we make it as
easy is possible for them to do it. And we've
we've taken some good strides in recent years to do that.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
You think we still have more work to do in
that respect, though.

Speaker 8 (23:07):
We do absolutely. I mean, I think we can do
things like I think the income tax could be lowered
even further. I think that we can be getting government
out of the way. Everything needs to be looked at
from the perspective of how are we going to make
things easier for somebody to open a business? How can
we make it easier just in terms of lowering costs.

(23:29):
I mean, that's something that I hear about a lot
about is lowering costs. Price is going up, and I
think there are some things that we can do about that.
I think one of the things that we can do
is simply on a national level. We can't do anything
about certain things in terms of the broader economy, but
we can do things about rising wages. I think the
more people we get in here, I think it's going

(23:51):
to help everybody across the board. Broadband, I think is
an important component of that.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Talking with Chris Sprett again, who is announce he is

(24:17):
dot net because what you don't know can hurt you.
You know, it's a crowded field that's going to be
running in twenty twenty six. Some of the states Senate
seats are up, all the House seats are up. And
just like you know, the Chris the Democrats controlled West
Virginia for eighty three years, and you had different factions
of Democrats. So I mean it was like, Okay, we
have these Republicans, but we have this kind of we
have pro business, we have a more conservative, we have
you know, evangelic, whatever you want to name. Now the

(24:40):
Republican party that they're in charge, they are starting to
and it's not necessarily a bad thing, don't get me wrong.
They just did different sections. If you had to define
what kind of Republican the chrisprint is, what would that be?
A free market constitutional conservative? That's it. That's the best
way to describe who I am. I believe limited government,

(25:01):
I believe in traditional conservative West Virginia values, and I
believe in the constitution. And I think our constitution works.
We have the greatest constitution in the history of the world.
And I think if we work within those confines, if
we honor the Constitution, if we work towards some limited
government and liberty, that's how we're going to advance as

(25:23):
a state. I mean, you see that in other states
that have grown a lot over the years. They have
more economic opportunity, they have more freedom, and I think
that's what perhaps distinguishes me from other types of Republicans.
I mean, there is such a thing as a big
government Republican in the state of West Virginia. A lot
of these people are tied to the special interests. They're

(25:44):
tied to the folks that want to keep the status
quo when it comes to special carve outs for different groups,
and such a government should be neutral.

Speaker 8 (25:56):
We should get out of the way. Nobody should be
getting favoritism in government. It should be neutral, and the
rules should be applied equally and fairly.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Last I guess it was last week. And now this
is on the House side. I know you're running for Senate,
but last week House Speaker Roger Hanshaw came out with
an announcement about there, you know what the things that
he would like to see in the House. Haven't heard
that from the Senate, we probably will. It's still early.
But one of the things he talked about was he
talked about we want to focus on jobs, which you
mentioned earlier. To focus on jobs, we want to focus

(26:28):
on the economy and things that nature and get away
from some of the so called social issues. Now, again,
that was the House and you're running for Senate. Where
are you on some of these social issues, any particular
ones that you want to and I'll say trans issues
that have been debated, or vaccines or any of the above.
Did you have any opinions on any of those?

Speaker 8 (26:47):
Well, I will say this, the idea that we should
be limiting the kind of legislation that we're bringing forth
in the legislature, I completely disagree with. I mean that
that whole idea. Look, we can do all of the above,
I mean, do we want to. I don't think most
West Virginians. I don't think most Republican Party primary voters
want us to just ignore certain cultural issues. I mean,

(27:10):
and that's not to say we should focus exclusively on them.
But you know, for example, if most people don't want
biological boys competing in girls sports, they just don't, Okay,
most West Virginians. If you take that idea to its
logical conclusion. We're not addressing those sort of issues, and
those sort of issues are important to many West Virginians.

(27:31):
It's important that we have legislation and we have laws
that reflect the values of the people here, and it's
important that Look, we're a conservative state and we can
do all of the above. So respectfully, I disagree with
the speaker if he was suggesting that we should just
ignore certain issues. We can do all of the above. Okay,
we can do multiple issues all at once. So that's

(27:53):
the approach that I have. It's not like we're passing
a lot of those laws anyways. When I was there,
it was it probably wasn't five percent of the bills
that we've passed that dealt with those topics. So I
think they obviously got a lot of attention just the.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
Shiny objects, as you well know because you've been there,
and most things that go through the legislature would be
it's all important, but to a lot of people it
would be kind of boring stuff. And a lot of
it's bipartisan too. That never gets that never never gets
any play.

Speaker 8 (28:20):
Yeah, right, absolutely, So I think that you know it's
we're not doing a whole lot of that anyways. But look,
if it represents the will of the people, if it's
important to West Virginians, we should at least be having
a conversation about it. We can do more than one
we can address more than one topic at once.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
Talk about your campaign. You're going to be out knocking
on door. I mean, you've done this before in the House,
so you're going to be out knocking on doors. You're
looking forward to some meet the candidate's forums.

Speaker 8 (28:47):
I think we're going to be doing meet the candidate forums.
I think we're going to be talking with people, going
out in the public where I'm going to be talking
to local leaders, trying to build consensus on how we
can move the state of West Virginia forward in the
seventeenth District here in Kannall County. I think all of that,
I think we're going to be doing that. I think
it's important that we get out there and we talk

(29:07):
about the issues. I think it's important that we make
sure that everybody is on board with good conservative legislation,
free market legislation. We're going to be doing all of that,
talking to as many people as we can do.

Speaker 6 (29:22):
You have your social media or Facebook, websites or anything
up like that.

Speaker 8 (29:27):
Yes, we'll social media. It's really really simple. It's at
print for the people that's on X, that's on Facebook.
If anybody wants to check out the campaign and get updates,
they can check it out there.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
As you know, you've done this before. I close every
interview segment with a candidate by doing something I call
the final thirty, which is not timed. But I just
want to know why should people vote for Chris Pritt
for Republican State Senate District seventeen.

Speaker 8 (29:55):
Because I'm going to represent the will of the people.
I'm going to represent West Virginia values. I'm going to
to advocate for those things that are important to all
West Virginians. Economic growth, conservative West Virginia First policies, That's
what I'm going to be advocating for. We have to
be working together to advance the state in a direction
that is consistent with our values, that represents West Virginia values.

(30:18):
I think going forward in terms of legislation, Look, if
anybody does any research on me, they're going to know
what my values are, They're going to know what my
record is. I think my record is that of a conservative,
a free market constitutional conservative. I did that in the House.
I'll do the same thing in the Senate.

Speaker 7 (30:38):
Chris.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
We wish you the best of luck. We'll be talking
in the future. Chris Spritt, Republican candidate for State Senate
District seventeen and always pleasure to see you, my friend.

It's it's one of the things about the president, and
you've I have made my feelings known on President Trump

(34:54):
many many times on this show and other other places.
I don't need to go into my feelings because I
always prefer to hear b your feelings when it comes
to things. But it's one of the reasons why President
Trump gives true conservatives a little heartburn, because when you
start and look, nobody is a bigger supporter of the
military than I am. But when you start throwing money

(35:17):
at things in a country that is trillions and trillions
and trillions of dollars the debt, that's where a lot
of people look at President Trump and go, you know,
that's not very conservative. As the text I think just

coming up later today on Metro News Midday powered by
some langueled law. Someone thought it would be a good
idea for me to fly solo today. Thirteen News and
Tonight Live anchor Amanda Baron is off on assignment today.
She's actually going to be in Columbus interview in Ohio
Governor Mike DeWine, so you can look for that on
thirteen News coming to PSUE. Executive producer Stephanie Pauley is

Ryan Nicholson and I are going to be in charge
of the whole dang thing coming up today. Who knows
what we'll get into. I do know that Hobby Kergible
is going to stop by of course, he dropped a
new commentary earlier and also a new state of Minds.
This is this interview segment that we do on Metro

Jeff Jenkins is going to stop by State Democratic Party
chair and delicate Mike Pushkin this year day. You know,
the president going back to President Trump is angering some

(37:04):
in the GOP because of recent comments that he wants
to reclassify cannabis, and that's not setting well with some
members of the GOP, specifically the more conservative wings of
the party, the more evangelical wings of the party, and
trust me, there are a lot of wings the Republican

(37:26):
Party right now. So Mike Pushkin is going to join
the State Democratic Party chair to talk about that. Also,
meteorologist Joe Fitzwater is going to stop by. You know,
we hadn't talked to Joe in about a week since
he brought the snowstorm in on his last week, and
now today, championshis are going to be in the sixties
and at least some areas of the state are going
to be looking at severe weather. I think they kind

(37:47):
of downplayed it for our area. They originally said that
the Canawa Valley may have some severe weather, some high winds,
and I think it's starting to be downplayed a little bit.
But some areas of the state are actually going to
get snow, some areas are going to get the severe weather.
We'll talk to Joe Fitzwater about that coming up a
little bit later on. Also, we're gonna talk about the
state's infrastructure. Some troubling information came out about the infrastructure

(38:10):
in West Virginia, so we are going to get to
that coming up on the show today. Plus Brad McElhenney
will stop by, and Putnam County Sheriff Bobby Egleton is
going to join us on the show today. I'm going
to get into this a little bit later on, but
Sheriff Egleton will join us. This high end heist, if
you will, of products from the day's Valley Kroger. It's

(38:30):
a very interesting story. So I we're going to get

We had them on about I don't know a couple

lover of music of all type. These guys absolutely blow
me away. I mean they are fantastic. Especially it's the
genre of music that I really like, which is kind

(40:44):
of bluesy Southern rock, think Black Crows, that kind of stuff.
I know they don't like to be compared to other people.
But that's just to kind of give you the vibe.
They're fantastic. We're gonna put him with Pushkin. Pushkin's gonna

I worked at a radio station that was literally shut
down by the health department. That'll be that like Danny Jones,
That'll be in my book someday. But my frequent guest
of the show, everybody from Greg Thomas to elected officials
to the mayors of the just just come hang out.

(41:51):
The only requirement is though if you do come hang out,
you do have to bring food for Ryan. Okay, that's
the only thing that you have to do. That's the
only requirement. So I have fun with that coming up
on Christmas Eve morning, So hope you can join us
for that. Tex says, I think conservatives believe cannabis turns
people gay. Why else would they want to keep cannabis

(42:12):

And I am not a proponent or an opponent of
cannabis either way, it's it does. I see the economic
impact of it and shake my head as to why
it is categorized alongside as a text, Texter said heroin

and fentanyl. I'm not a partaker myself. I have nothing
against people that are. It's just not my thing. But
I've said it's certainly worth taking a look at, and
I mean a serious I'm talking about West Virginia right now.
It is worth taking a serious, serious look at. And
I have a tendency to be one that the older

I really don't care what you do. And the older
I get, I become the old man shaking fist at

he's missing radio. And to Dan Bongino, I'd say well,

That I am also not clear. That's a question that
your host should have done a better job in asking.
I apologize for that, and let I'll tell you what
I'll do. I will reach out to Chris, he's probably listening,
and I will get an answer and i'll have it

Speaker 3 (48:50):
I would appreciate that very much. That should have been clarified.

Speaker 6 (48:54):
Yes, and that's on me, that's on the host, one

if you're you got about three minutes to let me know.
If not, I'll get an answer for you tomorrow, Nancy,
And I apologize for that.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
All right, Thank you, sir.

Speaker 6 (49:07):
Thank you Nancy calling us up today. Appreciate that. Yeah,
sometimes the host fumbles and should have asked that there
are two seats available, so I don't know which one
he's running for. So Chris Pritt, if you're listening right now,
text me and I'll get an answer. If not, Nancy,
I will promise you, I will leap right Ryan. Are

appeals judges entered in order allowing the National Guard members
from states including West Virginia to remain in d C

(49:49):
while the case is under review. Now. Yesterday's order by
three judges on the Appeals Court for DC doesn't really
represent a final outcome in case, but it does mean
the appeals judges agree that Guard can remain on duty
in DC for now. It's it's very long, it's very complicated.

(50:11):
Brad doing Brad things as he always does, lays it
out perfectly he's got links to the orders and the
legales and so on and so forth over wv metronews
dot com. And we are going to be joined by
Brad during the two o'clock hour today on Metro News Midday,
so he'll give us a little update about that Texas.
Worst thing w Cochs could do would be to put
the right wing propagandists who can't work a real job

(50:33):
back on the radio. Well, I feel pretty confident that.
I mean, I don't want to get ahead of my
skis here, but I feel pretty confident that Dan Bongino
will not be returning to Who's the thing about Bongino?
I never understood politics aside. I listened to the show
from time to time. I really wasn't a big fan,
not necessarily because of his politics. I just didn't really

(50:54):
like his style. And that's okay. If you listened, he
probably didn't like my style either. But Bongino spent a
whole lot of time time, and we can say this
now that he's not on the air anymore, taking a big,
old giant crap on Legacy Media. And the ironic thing
about that is he did it while he was on
Legacy Media, and he didn't respect. I will say this

(51:16):
about Rush Limbaugh. You can say what you want to
about Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh a saved AM radio. By
I mean he saved it. And number two, he respected
the medium. Rush Limbaugh came to talk radio after being
a rock jock. A matter of fact, a former coworker
of mine who was from Pittsburgh actually worked with Rush
when his name was Jeff Christy and he was on

(51:37):
the air in Pittsburgh. So I will say that about Rush.
Rush did respect the medium of radio. Dan Bongino did
not respect the medium of radio. He didn't respect anything,
and he took to the airwaves basically just trashing the
very airwaves and media that he was on, which was

(51:58):
kind of an interesting flex for me. So I don't
think I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I may not be around, but I don't think you
gotta worry about bunging Gene. Okay, this close with this
the story of thievery that is coming out of Putnam
County fascinating. Chris has it posted with pictures wv Metronews
dot com. The Sheriff's Department. They're looking for a group
of thieves with expensive taste, stealing crab legs, wines, steak,

(52:22):
et cetera. Give them credit for having good taste. I
guess they've hit up to Tayese Valley Kroger twice in
recent days. If you head on over to the website
wv Metronews dot com and also WCCHS Network dot com,
we have got some pictures posted on there, and as
I said, Putnam County share Bobby Egleton is going to
join me on the show coming up but later today

(52:42):
on Metro News Midday during the twelve o'clock hour. Thanks
to all my guests today Kathy Rubion and also Chris
Prince S and your producer Ryan Nicholson. I will see
you later today at noon for Metro News Midday. Till then,
have fun and love somebody.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
