Money's out of work or scared oflosing their job. The dollar buys a
Nichols would thanks for going bust, chump. Peoples keep a gun under the
counter. Punks are running wild inthe street, and there's nobody anywhere seems
to know what to do, andthere's no end to it. We know
the air is unfit to breathe,Our food is unfit to eat. We
(00:20):
sit watching our TVs while some localnewscaster tells us that today we had fifteen
homicides and sixty three violent crimes,as if that's the way it's supposed to
be. We know things are bad. Worse than bad. They're crazy.
It's like everything everywhere is going crazy. So we don't go out anymore.
We sit in the house and slowlythe world we're living in is getting smaller,
and all we say is, please, at least leave us alone in
(00:42):
our living room. Let me havemy toaster and my TV and my steel
melted radios, and I won't sayanything, Just leave us alone. Well,
I do to leave you alone.I want you to get mad an
you ain't hurt nothing again, Waita minute, you ain't hurt nothing.
Sure. I want you to getup now. I want all of you
(01:03):
to get up out of your chest. I want you to get up right
now, but go to the window, open it and stick your head out
and yell. I'm as bad ashell and I'm not tryna take this anymore.
I'm not gonna tack it an Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to another exciting
(01:36):
David Paul the show Man. Ican't tell you how I survived today.
There was a solar eclipse, andsomehow I still have my vision. I
felt like looking at the sun.I felt like staring at the sun,
but I didn't do it. Idon't know. Somehow the logic of burning
(01:57):
my retinas or maculas or whatever isin your eye that gets burning you're looking
at the sun. The instinct tonot do that kept me safe. Plus
I had those cool glasses, youknow, the ones with all the instructions
on them that were supposedly not theknockoff. So I think I got the
right ones. Because I'm still herewith you and looking right here at the
camera, so I can still see. Hopefully you guys can still see and
(02:17):
you see me. A lots totalk about today. Over the weekend,
though, I'll give you a littleupdate of where I was and what I
did. The Lee County Republican RepublicanExecutive Committee invited me to come speak at
an event they had on a panelwith some great patriots. Who was there.
(02:38):
Madison Cawthorne was there, Roger Stonewas there, Tito or Tease Mma
champion Tito Ortis was there, NeilMcCabe and fantastic Washington reporter and myself.
We were on a panel asking questionsto a full room over there. That's
like if you don't know Lee County, Florida, Florida, that's over on
the southwest coast near Fort Myers.Cool cool event. I was honored to
(03:01):
be there. Michael Thompson is thechair of the GOP there. He's running
for state committee man. I fullysupport him for that. The work he's
doing there in Lee County is reallyinspiring and it's exactly what needs to be
happening at all gops locally throughout thestate of Florida, throughout the country.
(03:22):
I think if you were able toreplicate what they're doing there, I think
we're going to be okay. Butthat was awesome. But now I'm back
here surviving the eclipse, and it'sgoing to be a very interesting week in
news. I mean over the weekendalready we had the fake news, fake
fundraising news. Trump has a giantfundraiser in Marrow Lago, raises fifty something
(03:47):
million dollars. The fake news ismaking it seem like there's billion dollar donors
giving him money because he was gettinggiving them promises to keep their taxes low
and give them tax breaks. Andthe Trump campaign is claiming, I'm going
to show you these videos soon. The way they're reporting that versus Biden's fundraiser,
Remember when Donald Trump was in NewYork honoring the fallen officer, while
(04:13):
Biden was having what the media calleda star studded event with three former presidents,
or when current two former they're allformer. So as I'm concerned,
Biden's good as done very very soon. But the media was just falling all
over themselves to brag about his fundraising. How much you raised twenty something million
dollars, massive lead over Trump andfundraising, and you know they couldn't get
(04:34):
over themselves. Trump goes and byhimself without any other presidents but him and
raises double and the media doesn't knowwhat to do themselves. That's fantastic.
We're going to talk about that laterwith a very special guest, and I'll
tell you about her in a minute. Also, this week, Congress is
(04:54):
back and nothing good happens these dayswhen is back in session. So on
the agenda of the things that thisCongress still has to deal with, read
some of these things to you here, guys, the long stalled military aid
(05:15):
package to Ukraine funding the bridge inBaltimore, that bridge that collapse that the
shipping company and their insurers should bepaying for, but the taxpayers are footing
that bill. Let's see what elsewe got going on. They are trying,
of course, to at least takeup portions of that bill that the
(05:36):
Senate passed, which sent more moneyto Ukraine than it did the southern border.
The southern border still wide open.Criminal aliens are still committing crimes all
over the place. The media istrying to pretend like that's not true,
telling us what we're seeing with theirown eyes and experiencing isn't true. That's
still an issue, which is whythere's a big fight. But guys,
we have a two seat advantage overthe Democrats, which makes all of this
(05:59):
very challenging because Johnson doesn't have aneasy majority, and he's already shown his
willing to work with Democrats, Sothis is going to be something to keep
an eye on. Surveillance power ison the agenda. You might remember Fi's
the section seven oh two. Thisis up for renewal. The Freedom Caucus
is not happy about Fi's the sectionseven oh two. Most Americans probably wouldn't
(06:19):
like the what you know, heused to be called the Patriot Act.
This allows basically our government to spyon Americans and pretend it's for national security
purposes. They can get these warrantsin secret. They use the same process
to spy on Trump. Fi's thesection seven oh two is not good for
your privacy, especially now when peopleare very concerned when the FBI shows up
(06:42):
their house for a post on Facebook. So that's being debated right now in
Congress. So, I mean, this is what is at stake right now
in the rest of the one hundredand eighteenth Congress. Here as it comes
to an end by whether the majorcis a peachment that's in the Senate,
there's probably gonna be dismissed there.I think they have the fifty one votes
(07:04):
Joe Mansions against it. Kristen Cinema'sagainst it. They're gonna they call it
ridiculous, so they are going toget rid of that. My orc is
vote. Even though the southern borderis still wide open, even though we
still have an immigration crisis in thiscountry with no slowing down, States across
even liberal states across this country, are telling people that they have no idea
(07:27):
where to put these they can't takeanymore. The southern border is still we
don't know where people are going. And there's another side of this, guys,
that nobody's even talking about. Andif you're not gonna impeach my Orks
for the failure so far, thereis a human trafficking. I mean some
people are talking about, but notenough. We're talking about children being trafficked
(07:48):
across the border. They don't knowwhere these people are going there. Not
only do we have criminals coming heresquatting in people's homes, committing crimes,
murdering Americans, but we're also enablingan international child trafficking ring by not doing
something with this border. Now,I'm not gonna have this whole show on
(08:09):
the border because there's other things Iwant to talk about, but it's important
for you guys to realize my Orcisis impeached because of his failure to do
his job, and that's going tobe dismissed. He's not doing his job.
It's gonna be dismissed by the Senate. Nothing's changing at the border.
Biden hasn't done anything with an executiveorder. Who does what his executive orders
(08:31):
has opened the border, not closedit. The Senate seems more concerned with
giving him Undy to Israel and Ukrainethan they are our southern border. So
I don't know how I feel aboutwhat's going to happen here with respect to
this, but I will tell youthis, it's suspicious. Every time a
Ukraine funding debate opens up, they'reall the news stories about Russia and nuke's
(08:56):
start coming in. Recently, inthe news, they're talking about Russia and
nuclear weapons again, or NATO threateningNATO countries with nukes and nukes, nukes,
nukes, nukes, nukes. Theyalways warn you of nuclear war with
Russia anytime they're trying to convince youthat Ukraine is needing our help to fight
(09:18):
and defeat Russia. Vladimir Zolensky wason I don't forget where he made his
comments, but he basically said,if he doesn't get more money from the
United States, they're going to losethe war. Begging for more money from
the United States. I think morepeople at this point want Russia to win
than they do Ukraine because they're sosick of sending our money to a country.
(09:41):
What does winning look like? Areyou gonna like beat Russia? What
does winning look like? Nobody hasbeen able to articulate what success in Ukraine
looks like. Is that removing Russiafrom the territories that it held, It's
holding now that it didn't hold beforethe conflict? That's not gonna happen.
Is it attacking Russia until they runout of US money? What does victory
(10:03):
in Ukraine look like? And whereis this money even going? We'll tell
you where it's going on MSNBC Weekend. Don't ask me why. Look,
I sit in echo chambers all daylong. I had talked to Republicans.
I agree with most Republicans on mostthings. So when I sit around and
talk to Republicans, I hear whatI already know. We all agree with
(10:26):
each other. Fine, Sometimes it'scould to listen to what they're talking about,
to see what arguments they're making. So then we can get out of
our echo chambers and talk to thosepeople in the middle who are being lied
to by the fake news. Again, we'll talk about that a little bit
more later and actually know what they'retalking about so we can combat it with
actual facts. And so anyway, over the weekend, I was watching MSNBS
(10:48):
or listening to MSNBC Weekend, andthey talked about seventy percent of the money
that goes to Ukraine is actually goingand this was actually they're trying to support
Ukraine's argument for it. Well, though, yes, we are going to
send all these billions of dollars toUkraine, but the good news is like
seventy percent of it goes to USweapons companies. Seventy percent of it goes
(11:11):
to US companies that are manufacturing theammunition and the weapons that we're sending over
to Ukraine. Oh that's interesting. So all of this effort to send money
to Ukraine, you have to askyourself if is any of it for Ukraine
(11:31):
or do the lobbyists that line thepockets of these DC politicians. They listen
to their lobbyists more than they listento their constituents. Do these lobbyists that
are lining the pockets of DC politicians. Do these lobbyists want this Ukraine bill
to get funded, Absolutely, becausethen they get billions of dollars to sell
(11:56):
their weapons and ammunition as we sendit outside of the United States. That
is what really is going on here, guys. This is what it is.
If you wonder why do we careso much about we don't. We
don't care about Ukraine. Congress's donorswant to make money. And this doesn't
just stop, guys. This doesn'tjust stop with military money or defense industry.
(12:18):
This is every single industry. Everybill that you see gets passed in
Congress. These bills are like, why are they doing this? Why is
this research with funding? What isall this money going to? Nothing?
Comes out of Washington that doesn't takecare of donors more than it takes care
of you. This is why wewanted separate subject spending, single subject spending
(12:43):
bills. This is why we wantedto have time to read the bills before
they were past the three days toread it, so we knew what kind
of pork was in there. Thistransparency that conservative Republicans Trump Republicans have been
asking for, the transparency that Congresshas been falling over themselves to deny us.
This is why you do have somegood Republicans in Congress who didn't want
(13:05):
these continuing resolutions. Are these gianton the bus bills that Speaker Johnson went
across the aisle with Democrats to putforward, or Republican leadership who wrote the
things. This is the biggest problemright now in Washington. The biggest problem
in Washington is that while Americans sufferto pay gas bills and to buy their
groceries, and with crime in theircommunity from an open southern border, Republicans
(13:28):
are betting over backwards to reward theirdonors. Democrats are already doing this,
and we know that, but Democratsaren't in control the House. We are.
Republicans are. This I think probablyis the most important issue going into
twenty twenty four and when we havejust a two seat majority in Congress because
(13:50):
they know Donald Trump's going to beelected and these Union Party lobbyists serving Rhinos
would rather retire and give the speakershipTiqim Jeffrey to keep Donald Trump becoming president.
We're going to talk about that interestingidea here in a second. Uh.
They care more about status quo thanthey do about the country, which
is why Trump is doing so well, which is why people believe in Trump
(14:11):
so much, because they want tosend somebody to Washington that's going to do
something differently. And that's why themedia is falling over themselves to tell you
that Trump's fundraising is all these bigdollar donors. They're lying to you so
you don't think that Trump is goingto change anything. They don't want the
anger that you have towards the wayWashington's doing. And it's not just Democrats
(14:31):
that are saying this, Republicans do. They're trying to hide the ball and
not make you think that Trump's goingto do anything different. But He's going
to, and we all know he'sgoing to because he has a proven track
record. He did it before.Trump, by the way, is leading
in small dollar donations over Biden. The media is falling all over themselves to
talk about Biden's fundraising advantage. Whythey want to make it seem as if
(14:54):
the money that's going to Biden suggeststhat Biden is more popular than Trump,
trying to distract you from all allthe polling in every swing state and almost
every state showing that Biden is unpopularthan Trump is ahead they're trying to convince
you that the fundraising suggests otherwise, and they use the fundraising is an opportunity
every single time to tell you that, oh, but Trump's money is going
to hold his legal cases. Onceagain, getting to remind you about these
(15:18):
legal cases. Man, I tellyou what it is a pay attention,
That's all I'm telling you. Payattention because what they're doing in Washington,
they're very sneaky and they're very good. They've been doing this for a long
time. But pay attention. Payattention to the fake news about fundraising,
Pay attention to the fake news aboutRussia when they're trying to get your money
and send it to Ukraine. Payattention to all of this stuff because guys,
(15:41):
everybody's lying to you. It isup to you to find what information
is true, what's not true,or what you believe to be true or
not true, and then go andshare the information with other people because we
know the fake news isn't going todo it. Real quick, I want
to talk about over the weekend.I mentioned to you that I was at
that event in Fort Myers and LeeCounty and roger Stone. There was a
(16:02):
very interesting question beca somebody from theaudience asked, They asked, uh,
what do we how do we?A lot of people really, you know,
they do the Q and as alot of people want to continue to
talk about January sixth, and it'simportant. The other question people want to
talk about is election interference, andthey want to talk about COVID and about
that meaning, how are we goingto stop them from from using another pandemic
(16:26):
or COVID itself to you know,do all the stuff that was done before.
And my response to that question wasyou need to not look backwards instead
look forward, because they've moved onfrom the COVID thing, and now they're
getting very crafty with trying to keepTrump off the ballot and or, in
the alternative, trying to keep Trumpfrom getting the two seventy. We've seen
these with their retirements. We've talkedabout it over to the DC Patriot,
(16:47):
We've talked about it on this show. There are games being played because they
know that the people want to electTrump, so they're doing whatever they can
to keep him from becoming president, whether it's from being sworn in or from
being elected in the first place.Roger Stone said something very very interesting about
this, and he says it's basedon the Colorado decision. Now I don't
(17:08):
have the video, I have theaudio for, but I want you to
hear Roger Stone's theory on the whatthe uniparty the swamp is planning on doing
with Trump. Take a listen.I wrote and spoke on this very extensively
this fast week to think of thisfirst person to point out that there's very
(17:30):
real effort going on in the Houseto get enough members to resign or retire
in order to the flip control ofthe House to the Democrats, in which
case they will very quickly make conteenJefferty's a speaker, and then their first
order of business would be to passand slash it. The certainly introduced by
(17:53):
jam Rasscham, who's in the contestto be the oilliest Member of Governments.
Shift resting may actually be winning, but in essence, if it then passed
the House, they would go overto the Senate where it would past fifty
one forty nine and Donald Trumps thencould not be on the ballot in the
(18:14):
next election. And if you areout there saying, well, the courts
will never allow this, actually thecourts invited this in their Colorado decisions.
They very specifically said the Congress himbarrow of candidate from the federal battlet.
So the retirements are very suspicious.Mike Gallaghers retires being retires retired, but
(18:41):
times is retired purposely to make surethat there cannot be a special election,
because it's a Republican district and aRepublican would win, but to make sure
that that seat remains vacant until theelection in November, thus bringing down the
number of votes that you need tocontrol the House. Now there are I
think three more four more special elections. There are four bank industries and maybe
(19:07):
maybe one behind. Now one ofthose vacancies will go to a Democrat.
We should should win the other threeelections. Uh uh in uh. Speaker
McCarthy's history. Scott bow is theRepublican leader, old friend of mine,
solid conservative, spent alot of timein the East Combany very good man should
(19:29):
win. I actually think he beatKatie Porter last time, and I think
it was stolen from him. SoI do think that we're hanging out here
by a thread. But this isall being financed, it is all being
directed by the former speaker. Inmy opinion, this is his revenge play
and just being funded. If youdo any of the researcher go to stone
(19:52):
zone dot com. I have fivestories on us. The money for this
is all coming from Paul Singer, who is the most capitalist globalist, who
paid for the steel dust, whowas talk millions of dollars into Nikki Bailey.
So this is very dangerous, hasto be watched very carefully. Our
(20:14):
patrol of the house is very tight, but we cannot afford to lose one,
two or three seats or that willbe the plant. And this is
all you know. This is basicallythe extension of the same operation to illegally
to keep jump off the ballot invarious stays. So those who were celebrating
(20:38):
the Supreme Court decision that said theStates couldn't do that, I should have
read the small print, because unfortunatelyJamie Rascian and the Democrats the junk shoper
did read the small print. Isa very very real danger. We have
to win those specials and even thenour control is tight. I have put
(20:59):
together a list of the twelve Ithink most likely the retire each based on
across the determination of where they weregetting money, whether they have endorsed oub
Trump and their age, and Ithink I figured out would be the next
perk shot. So don't be surprisedwhen Vice President I pets his brother Greg
announces that he's leaving the house.Don't be shot. It's an excellent theory.
(21:26):
It's a troubling theory, and it'ssomething that we need to play close
attention to. Guys. Look,we're going to do our part. We're
going to tell people what the truthis. We're going to combat fake news
the facts, and we're going tomake sure everybody turns up to vote.
But this is stuff to pay attentionto because you need to be talking to
your elected officials to make sure thatthey're doing the sp We also have to
(21:48):
make sure we hold the House inthese special elections. So anyway, lots
of stuff going on out there. It is interesting stuff. I am going
to take a quick break and whenwe come back, we are going to
be joined by Sonny Joy Nelson. She's a Republican strategist and she's a co
host of the lion Dry podcast. We're going to talk about fake news with
(22:10):
respect a fundraising and a big videothat Trump put out today about a portion.

sent you welcome back. As Imentioned before, Trump had a huge fundraiser
over the weekend which by far doubledor at least almost doubled what Biden was
(26:08):
able to raise during his what themedia called star studded fundraiser. But the
fake news is going out of theirway to downplay the significance of Trump's fundraiser
versus how they were going out oftheir way to make it seem as if
Biden's fundraiser was the coolest thing onthe planet. Check it out. Biden
(26:32):
is in New York tonight with twohigh powered friends, Barack Obama and Bill
Clinton, for a star studded campaignevent. For one hundred thousand dollars.
You can take a picture with thecurrent and former presidents. See this is
Caitlin Huey Burns reports on what couldbe the biggest fundraiser in presidential campaign history
in New York City tonight, aparade of presidents headlining an event at Radio
(26:55):
City Music Hall that raked in twentyfive million dollars for Joe Biden's re election
campaign. It's a record for apolitical fundraiser, bolstering Biden's significant cash advantage
even as he lags behind Donald Trumpin the polls. Come online, desperately
need your help because look, there'sonly about six or seven states you're going
(27:17):
to turn me the outcome of selection. The Biden campaign has seventy one million
dollars in the bank, compared tothe Trump campaign's nearly thirty four million.
Trump's legal troubles have been draining resources. A super pack supporting him spent eight
and a half million dollars on legalfees so far this year, including five
and a half million last month.A crook a judge wouldn't say, we're
(27:38):
going to have you post a bondand take all of that money that I
could be spending on a campaign.Sarah Briner is a campaign finance expert.
In a race this close, canmoney move the needle. Money can definitely
move needles in close races, andit's by getting just the smallest traction of
people to think about the race inthe way you want them to think about
(28:02):
it. Trump also tried to cashin on the Democrats fundraising event today,
asking for donations to help defeat theBiden Obama Clinton cartel. He was in
New York today attending the wake ofa fullen NYPD police officer. Trump stands
to benefit financially from his social mediacompany, Truth Social going public this week,
(28:25):
but that has raised concerns about potentialconflicts of interest if he's elected President.
Nora Caitlin Huey burns, thank youvery much. Now compare that to
how the news the fake news iscovering Trump's fundraiser from this weekend. Former
President Trump is far behind President Bidenwhen it comes to fundraising, but Trump
(28:48):
got a big boost this weekend.According to organizers, His campaign raked in
a whopping fifty million dollars at aPalm Beach fundraiser. Let's bring in ABC's
j O'Brien from Washington and Jay,what more you learning? Lindsay tonight,
a campaign official telling ABC News thatat that exclusive fundraiser, former President Trump
telling that group of ultra wealthy donorsthat if he took office again, he
(29:10):
would work to keep their taxes lowby expanding his Trump era tax cuts.
The campaign saying that it raped ina whopping fifty million dollars from this event.
It was the Republican response to thatmassive Democratic fundraiser last week with President
Biden and former Presidents Clinton and Obamathat brought in an estimated twenty six million
dollars, a record number for thatparty. Now, the Trump campaign is
(29:33):
still trailing Democrats in their overall campaigncash filing showing former President Trump using much
of his campaign war chest to payfor his mounting legal bills. Lindsey all
right, j O'Brien forrest, thanksso much, James. Joining me now
to discuss the fake news fundraising videosis Sonny Joy Nelson. She is a
(29:53):
Republican strategist and co host of agreat podcast, The Line Drive Podcast.
Honey, welcome to the David PollockShow. David, thank you for having
me. I'm really appreciate you havingme on. And I know we've been
going back and forth a little bittrying to lock it in, but here
we are finally on this beautiful day. We're going to talk about some great
stuff. I'm looking forward to it. Yeah. So, you know,
(30:17):
a couple of weeks ago, whileTrump is respecting a fallen officer, Biden
decides to have a fundraiser in theNew York City Madison Square Garden. The
media is going crazy for it,calling a star studded event celebrating three US
presidents. You know, it's basicallythe media's dream team of all the presidents
that they show for on their fakenews. And you know, I think
(30:37):
they're raised like twenty five million dollars. And they're talking about Biden's fundraising advantage
and Trump's money is going to hislegal fees, and they're just you know,
of course, Biden's great, Trump'sawful. Ben Trump has this fundraiser
over in mar al Lago and heraised his fifty million dollars, double double
of what the Biden campaign was ableto raise with three the US president's.
(31:00):
One US president by himself raised fiftymillion dollars. Of course, the fake
news is making it seem like thisis somehow a big donor event and they're
minimizing what he was able to gain. Although acknowledging he's closing the gap,
Biden is still in the lead, they're falling over themselves and try to say
Biden has the advantage. What areyour thoughts on all the fake news about
fundraising? Gosh, I mean, you really hit it spot on there in
(31:25):
terms of Biden. I just wantto go back to that event when he
was having his fundraiser there in NewYork and President Trump was at the funeral
of the fallen police officer. Ithink that moment right there that day was
so telling of the two campaigns. You have the Biden administration who is just
so out of touch with reality. You have their administration pushing all this stuff
(31:47):
saying, you know what, don'tbelieve what you're seeing right now, the
economy is actually great. Just closeyour eyes when you're filling up the tank
full of gas or when you're goingto the grocery store. Don't believe that
the economy is actually great. Theyhave this just out of touch reality sensation
about themselves that I truly don't knowif they know what the average American person
(32:07):
is feeling in their day to daylife. Contrasts that with President Trump,
who went to go be supportive atthis funeral with this grieving wife, mother
of this young child, and hewas there to show his support and to
say, you know, our countryis falling apart right now. There's a
there's an attack on police officers,Migrant crime is just rampant right now,
(32:31):
and the Biden administration and other Democratlawmakers could care less. They don't care
what's going on. They're also turninga blind eye to that while our citizens,
us citizens, tax paying citizens, are being killed, they're being raped,
they're being just injured all all thetime, and the media is just
(32:51):
completely turning a blind eye to that. Going back to the fundraiser, it
is unreal, It is unreal, just the bias that most of these reporters
have, that these news outlets havewhen they're talking so glitz and glam.
Look at this. Amazing that PresidentBiden has raised so much money, he
has so much support, he's sopopular, all of these things. President
(33:13):
Trump then goes and out raises himby almost double and all of a sudden,
it's reported the Trump campaign reports saysthat states that and it is just
just they have no self awareness.I think that's truly what it is.
Or maybe their bias and their agendais so deep into them that it affects
every single aspect of their lives. But yeah, this was just record breaking,
(33:38):
his fundraiser record breaking. And whilethis is wonderful, this huge dollar
phone razor was great for the campaign, the small dollar donors, that's where
it is you know, the Trumpcampaign is full of small dollar donors,
and that's because the president relates withthe American p the average person who says,
(34:00):
you know what, I can't donatetwo hundred and fifty thousand dollars to
the president, but I can giveyou ten dollars a month because I think
that you're standing up for what Ibelieve in. You're looking out for my
best interest. And I really thinkthat that's going to be a telltale sign
come November fifth. I think there'sgoing to just be a huge outpour of
support for the president come the election. Yeah, that's an excellent point about
(34:23):
the small dollar donors. New YorkTimes, of all places, it reports
that Trump has more small dollar donorsthan Biden, reporting six hundred and sixty
eight thousand of small dollars a smalldonor dollars versus five hundred and sixty four
thousand for Biden. Yet the mediais going and telling everybody though, that
Trump's fundraising is from big dollar donorsas he promises and tax breaks. You
(34:45):
know, I always wonder, though, do they know they're doing it as
it intentional? I always balance thefake news intent versus are they just do
they believe their own lies. AndI think it's a combination of both.
I think they sit around and theytell each other he's lies long enough that
they believe it. Because I'll goand do adverse media. I'll go do
a liberal show, and they'll alwaysask me to defend the Republican position,
(35:07):
and they the narrative that they feedme is the same narrative you see on
the Sunday morning talk shows on MSNBC, the same stuff you know about buying
out out raising Trump and exactly likeyou talked about about the economy doing better,
inflation going down, gas prices. They'll just lie after lie after lie,
and you sit back and wonder dothey know they're lying or are they
(35:29):
just so desperate that for that bethe reality that they just want to find
those information and report it. Peopleknow though, and this is what I
always tell them. I'm like, well, when you go to the gas
pump, is it easier for youto fill up your tank? Yeah?
Ask them. They're like, no, well it's your groceries cheaper. No,
So they say inflation's going down.I had an economist on the show
a couple of weeks ago and askedabout that. I said, Okay,
let's get experts on to counteract thelies. And I said, is the
(35:52):
inflation going down? He says, well, yes and no. He says
inflation is slowing, which is agood thing. But he says, your
but there isn't deflation. You say, so, prices will never go down.
The pace in which prices are increasingis just slowing down. So the
Biden administration is out there acting asif somehow your life is going to get
better. These groceries are going toget cheaper. They're not. This price
(36:15):
inflation is here to stay. It'sjust not getting as expensive as quickly,
and they're calling that some kind ofvictory. Meanwhile, they're talking about raising
taxes. We still have supply chainissues, we still have domestic oil shortfalls
based on bad Biden energy policies, and it's only going to get worse.
Gas prices are growing up. Astrategic patroleum reserve is down to forty three
(36:37):
percent after Trump filled it up toone hundred. And these are the lies
that the media tells people that,oh, oil companies are making record profits
and they're making it seem as ifeverything's good. But people are smarter than
that, right, I don't thinkpeople believe the fake news, whether they
know they're lying to people or not. What do you think. Well,
that's a really good question, andthis is something that we actually talk about
on our podcast pretty frequently. Ibring this up and this is no political
(37:01):
insight or anything like that. Thisis truly just me as a person thinking
how can we break through this noise, because when you have outlets that are
just spewing lies that are just whenit comes to the fundraiser or things or
other, you know, the liesabout President Trump when they say, oh,
(37:21):
well he uses the word animals torefer to immigrants, Well, no,
he was talking about the murderers thatcome here and are killing our citizen.
Yes, murderers are animals and theyshould be labeled as such. We
should not defend murderers, and weshould not shame victims. When I when
all of this goes on, Itruly question our voters seeing through this because
(37:45):
you and I, you know,we're very in the note. We're looking
at news from multiple different sources,so we can draw our own conclusions as
to what actually is truth. Ifyou have a suburban woman somewhere we'll say
the middle of the country who onlygets her news from Facebook or not not
really Twitter so much anymore, butInstagram or TikTok, or say they only
(38:07):
watch their local news. If theyare only being inundated with just lies after
lies after lies, how do webreak through to that person to say,
that's not actually what's going on,here's how they lied, here's the truth.
And that's something that I personally strugglewith. I don't know the answer
to that, but I think it'ssomething that we constantly have to be as
(38:28):
people who want the truth to prevailand want to see America restored, we
have to be so vigilant in standingup for the truth, broadcasting the truth,
and getting it out there talking toour friends. Change happens in one
on one communication most of the time. So I think that's really just how
we have to go at it.I know that wasn't your question at all,
(38:50):
but that's something that I've really justbeen thinking about lately, especially as
the election comes up. Well,it's true, and you know I said
in twenty sixteen, I so weowe a lot of things to Trump,
but I think one of the bestthings he did was exposing what we now
call the fake news. Before twentysixteen, we used to have presidential debates
and we would have bias moderators onbias networks. Nuke Gingrit used to try
(39:10):
to call it out, but youknow, it kind of felt it was
nuke Ingridg's moments. I remember whenMitt Romney, I think, was our
nominee. We were like, oh, good new Gingrit is going to give
it to him. But that wasreally the extent of it. They would
still go on the fake news networksand answer for all you could see the
unfair coverage. As I've been alifelong Republican, I've always been like,
this isn't a fair question, andwe just were used to it. Trump
(39:30):
hit it right on the head, right out the gate. He said,
CNN, you're fake news. Thisis fake news. And then they couldn't
hide anymore, and they went andthey went from pretending they were objective to
not being able to hide their bias. And this is what we talked about
early on. And now I thinkthe benefit of that is I don't think
anybody turns on the news anymore andbelieves it objectively to be true, right.
(39:52):
And I think that is something thatTrump gifted this country, is that
now we're able to have those conversationswith our neighbors with whether it's some urban
moms or whoever. They're not justlate reading a headline and saying it's true
anymore. Now they go, hey, I'm going to look a little bit
further into this. That I thinkis where we're moving as a society.
I think we're no longer just takingheadlines for granted and just saying, oh,
yeah, that's true. So Ido think we're moving in the right
(40:14):
direction. And I think we cancredit Trump for that. Yeah. Now,
even though Trump's getting a ton offake news media coverage for his fundraiser,
something big just happened this morning.I don't think anybody knows how to
control the media as well as DonaldTrump does. So this morning, you
know, when they're talking about afundraiser, he puts out this video.
(40:37):
Take a look, and now basicallywe're watching it, we're coming back.
So now he puts abortion right frontand center, telling saying it's a state's
rights issue, which I agree with. What are your thoughts on this?
Yeah? Absolutely. The President's beensaying for a while that he was going
(40:59):
to put out his satement his beliefson abortion, and I think this is
exactly what we were expecting it tobe. The President has said since the
beginning that it is a states rightsissue. And if you'll go back before,
when roev Wade was still the lawof the land, US as conservatives,
as pro life fighters, that's whatwe were fighting for for it to
be turned back to the states, for the states to decide. And that's
(41:21):
exactly what has happened now with theDobbs decision. Thank you, President Trump.
The President has followed through in twentysixteen when he became president, he
followed through in his campaign promises tobe the most pro life president that we've
ever had, and he was.He defunded playing parenthood, he'd stop taxpayer
money from going to fund abortions overseas, and he was the first president to
(41:43):
attend the March for Life, andyou know, the biggest thing of all,
something that I truly, I mean, maybe this was a lack of
faith in my part, but Itruly did not think that Roevie Wade would
actually be overturned. And when itdid, it was such a wonderful,
glorious day because there was a cultureof life for all back into the United
States. Finally, and this videothat he has put out. I think
(42:06):
he hit it, you know, right on the head. It should be
up to the states to decide. And I think this also goes to show
that local elections are so important.Local elections we saw in twenty twenty after
the election. That's when I reallystarted paying attention to how important state level
elections were, even county level everything, because that truly affects your day to
(42:29):
day. And I mean, Ijust truly truly encourage viewers to vote in
their local elections. They are extremelyimportant. And the abortion issue, it
is going to be a state bystate thing, and you'll have more conservative
states, and you'll have more liberalstates, which we all know what they
are. Then you'll have your swingstates like North Carolina where I am,
(42:50):
where it can be a very purpolystate. I'm extremely pro life, very
very very pro life, and Ithink for people like me, it is
up to us to get involved onthe state and local level to influence our
elections so that we can determine whichway are state's going to go, what
are we going to allow. AndI think President Trump is doing a great
(43:12):
job and leaving the march for that. Yeah, you know, I'm going
to go on a David Pollock showtangent for a second, because you talk
about local elections. I want toget back to the abortion issue that I've
said this. I say this allthe time. I was at an event
over the weekend talking about this, and everyone's like, President Trump's going to
do this. Look, he's goingto do a lot for America when he
is re elected. All the bigstuff, you know, the foreign relations
(43:34):
stuff, the policy setting, theexecutive orders or undoing bad executive there's stuff
he can do as an executive. But I think people put too much,
I think on his shoulders. Healone is not going to save America.
He's going to set up the abilityfor us to save America and make America
great again. But that being said, Congress was one of the reasons why
(43:55):
Trump was unable to complete his entireRepublican Congress. We all remember John McCain's
big thumbs down when we tried tooverturn Obamacare, promise that Trump made to
his voters, and it was aRepublican Congress that took that away from them.
Being involved locally, knowing who yourCongress people are, making sure we
have the right people on the ballot, not just in city, but in
Congress and in Senate. That isalmost It's probably, if not more important
(44:19):
than paying attention to what's going onin these big national presidential races, because
you actually can go and make asignificant difference in a local election more so
than you can is just one votein a presidential election. I don't get
you wrong. We all need tovote in the presidential election. Everybody needs
to vote. Bring your neighbors vote. I don't care if you're voting early.
This whole idea about waiting till electionday. You remember in twenty twenty
what happened. Don't wait till electionday. Don't start screaming from the rafters
(44:43):
that the machines aren't working at sevenpm on election day. Vote two weeks
before election day when it's open.Make sure you're voting, vote by mail,
val verify in the state. Ifit does it that your vote was
actually counted. Fine, But theselocal elections give so much control in your
city councils, your county races, and your state races. Sorry for this
tangent, but it is important forpeople and listeners and the viewers to know
that as the city goes, sogoes to county, so goes to county,
(45:06):
so goes to state. A lotof these states were lost at the
local level, and nonpartisan races thatDemocrats targeted didn't tell people they were socialists.
They took control of these bodies andthen they start putting policies in place
that makes it very difficult for Trumpto even be on the ballot in these
states. So it's an excellent pointyou make, and I wanted to take
a tangent address that because it's so, so very important. But going back
to the abortion issue, which isalso a very very important issue. Look,
(45:31):
I know abortions personal people. There'sthe religious aspect of abortion, the
moral aspect of abortion. There's peoplewho pro abortion, people are against abortion,
whatever. Giving it back to thestates, that Dab's decision was brilliant
and constitutional and that is the lawin the land. So for Trump to
come out and support what the Constitution'sinterpret the Supreme Court's interpretation of the Constitution
(45:51):
says about abortion, that shouldn't becontroversial, first of all, and second
of all, states rights matter. And if you do live in a crazy
state like California and they want tohave a barbaric abortion policy, that's consistent
with what the Supreme Court said theConstitution will allow. So we moved to
California. If you don't like it, leave California. Plenty of people have
so this position I think is theright one. But when you have Republican
(46:15):
leaders nationally calling for a national banon abortion, we saw how this hurt
our red wave in the twenty twentyelection that we thought we were going to
or the twenty twenty two election wethought we were going to have. Now
it's like they didn't learn and nowthey're going back and calling for these national
bands on abortion, which is goingto hurt Republicans. Like Trump said in
that video, getting elected is themost important thing. I don't believe a
(46:37):
national abortion ban's going to help thatissue. What are your thoughts on that?
Yeah, well, I think PresidentTrump is right. We have to
it has to be a state issueat this time. And as we were
just talking about local elections, allof that is so important. But the
most important thing here that we needto really talk about is we are not
the radical ones here. The Democratsand Joe Biden are the radical players here
(47:01):
when it comes to abortion. Andyou know the media will say, oh,
actually no they're not. They don'tbelieve in a fantaside. Yes they
do. The former governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, has said publicly on
camera that a baby would be madecomfortable while they died after a failed abortion.
That is extreme, that is radical, that's evil and barbaric. And
(47:24):
as the media and everyone wants toturn this around and Trump on Trump and
Republicans and say, oh, you'reso crazy, you know, you're so
extreme. No, we're not. We're the Party of life and they are
the party of extreme, radical abortiondeath. I mean, truly, that's
what it is. It is justit's death. And I really think the
(47:45):
Republicans need to do a good jobwith messaging this go around, and not
how they did in twenty twenty two. We need to win the messaging battle
here, but on life as awhole. We win on this issue because
even most polling states that the majorityof a people don't believe in late term
(48:05):
abortion, and that is just that'swhere the country is, that's where President
Trump is. So I think wewent on this issue because we are bringing
the culture of life back to theUnited States. And I think even as
Christians, you know, I'm makingthis personal for myself here that's what we're
called to do, is to standup for the least of these. You
know, that's an excellent point youmake about the messaging too, because the
(48:29):
Democrats are for some reason, arealways winning these messaging arguments, and in
twenty twenty two we saw it.They were able to take something as unpopular
as late term abortion, which almostnobody in this country supports, not even
Democrats, and they were able tohighlight extreme examples of where abortion was being
limited very early on, without exceptionsthat were popular amongst the majority of the
(48:51):
country, and they were able totake those few examples and really pivot away
from their really really unpopular position onit. So you point that out,
You're exactly right, which is whyputting it on the states is the best
solution, because each state can decide, and I think Trump's position is right
on excellent point. If people wantto come and listen to more about what
you have to say on all ofthis great stuff on your podcast or whether
(49:14):
it's social media, if they're like, man, I really like Sonny joy
Nelson, how do I follow her? Tell our viewers and listeners where they
can find you. Oh, yes, absolutely, you can find me on
Twitter. Oh my gosh, excuseme, x, I have not gotten

But yeah, I think just ifthere's anything I could leave everyone with,
it is to get involved. Donot take this election for granted. Yes,
you would think that the way oflife right now is so bad under
the Biden administration that there will bea huge red wave in November, but
(50:00):
it's going to take every single personcoming out and voting. We cannot take
it for granted. We have toget involved, vote early, vote in
person, whatever it takes, beinvolved, cast your vote. It is
your civic duty to get involved. And that is my number one thing to
leave everyone with. Absolutely great, great comments, great points. Thank you
