Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of The
Diddy Diaries. One of the many people who have accused
Ditty of abuse and who have filed a lawsuit against
him is Don Richard. And Don Richard, as you recall,
was somebody who was very close to Ditty, at least professionally.
She was involved in multiple projects working with Ditty, and
(00:23):
she was somebody who was around him and had intimate
knowledge of his behavior and how his well oiled machine operated.
And now with her coming forward and filing this lawsuit
against Ditty, it really launched things into a different orbit.
And if you recall, her lawsuit was filed before the
(00:44):
federal indictment hit the docket. So Ditty's team they're going
to try and say that all these lawsuits were piggybacking
off of the federal indictment. But several of these lawsuits
hit the docket before that indictment was even unsealed. So
that's not a defense that I think is going to
go anywhere for them. And today we're hearing from Don
Richard's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, who is discussing her client's case.
(01:09):
This article was published by Vibe and the headline Don
Richard's lawyer addresses Sean Ditty Combs's witness tampering claims. This
article was authored by Domitia Inman. Lisa Bloom, the attorney
representing Don Richard in her civil case against Sean Ditty Combs,
(01:29):
speaks with Talk TV about her client's case, the criminal
charges he faces, and the allegations of witness tampering. In
a clip of the interview shared by the Art of
Dialogue on x, Bloom points out details where the civil
suit and criminal case overlap. And look, this is something
that is as old as the day is long. Whenever
(01:51):
you have some sort of civil proceeding against you, especially
if you're somebody who's famous, and there's even a hint
of criminal behavior, you better believe the government's going to
be made aware of it. And remember, we were talking
about the Rodney Jones suit when it came out all
the way back in what November, and in that lawsuit,
(02:11):
he was begging the government basically to initiate a recal
investigation into Diddy. And then you fast forward all these
months to where we are now, and you look at
some of these lawsuits that were filed previously, and there
sure is a whole lot of overlap. The federal criminal
case came after ours, but it was strikingly similar. She explained,
many of the same allegations, that women were victimized, that
(02:34):
they were terrorized, that they weren't even paid properly when
they work for him and made music with them. So,
if his employees aren't getting treated right, what makes anybody
think that sex workers or anyone that he considers an
object of his obsession is going to be treated fairly.
If you don't treat the people around you, as far
as your employees, your coworkers, the people you love correctly,
(02:58):
what makes anyone think that you're gonna treat strangers in
the right way? She continued to detail. There's the federal
criminal case. That's why he's in prison right now, and
I think he's going to be in prison for the
rest of his life. And then there's a large number
of civil cases that have been filed. Those are private
lawsuits for money damages. There's my case, and there's a
(03:19):
number of other cases with similar allegations, some involving underage
people as well as adults that are victimized by them.
And for those of you who have been rocking with me,
for quite some time. It won't come as a surprise
to know that I'm not a big fan of Lisa Bloom.
I'm just not a big fan of her or her mom,
Gloria already, but I'm not gonna hold that against her client.
(03:40):
My beef with Lisa Bloom and her mom is the
glory hounding, not so much as the way that they
defend their clients or whatever. But it feels to me
that they have a lot of main character syndrome, and
a lot of times they try and make it about them,
and I saw it with Epstein, and I hope we
don't see it here because these lawyers need to realize
that this isn't about them. This is about their clients.
(04:03):
It's about the alleged victims, and it's about justice. In
our case and in the federal criminal case, we're not
just again Sean Combs, but against a large number of
people who are accused of being his enablers. Because we
know from history people like Jeffrey Epstein, I represented eleven
of his victims. These guys just don't do it by themselves.
(04:25):
They have to have a large number of people who
are complicit in order to have an operation. This big
and to have this many accusers. Look, there's no doubt
you cannot run an operation like this on your own.
And for those of you who aren't really too familiar
with the Epstein situation, well we're going to talk a
lot more about it as this continues to unfold, because
(04:47):
obviously there's a lot of intersection here, and I think
that if you understand what happened with Epstein, or at
the very least get a taste, you'll understand a little
bit better of what you're seeing here when it comes
to Ditty. At the end of the clip, she explained
how Richard's lawsuit could be the reason that Combs has
been denied bail in criminal court. Very possible. But I
(05:08):
don't think that Lisa Bloom should be out here talking
about this. You don't think Diddy's lawyers are going to
use it or attempt to use it against her and
against Donn Richard now probably won't be successful, but they'll
talk about how she's out here looking for publicity, how
she's trying to be a glory hound, you know, the
whole thing. I've always been more of a move in
silence kind of person and not let your enemies know
(05:30):
what you're thinking, right, So if I was a lawyer,
I certainly wouldn't be making any public statements about anything
that's going on as far as my client goes or
their case. That's very unusual. And here's why, and it
has to do with my case, because the prosecutors say
he was tampering with witnesses before he was sent to jail.
Detailed Bloom after being asked why the Bad Boy Records
(05:52):
founder remains behind bars. In my case, there's a woman,
only one who came out publicly after we filed our
complain and basically attacked my client and said she was
a liar. Well, it turns out the prosecutors say that
there were over one hundred phone calls phone messages between
Sean Combs and this witness right after the filing of
(06:13):
our complaint until a couple of days later when she
came out with her statement calling my client a liar,
and then those calls stopped. So what she's saying here
is that there was tappering. Didty and his people got
to the other witness and after talking to that witness,
coursing them or whatever, got the witness to sing a
tune that was more favorable to Ditty, and that's what
(06:35):
the prosecutors alleged in those transcripts, and that played a
part obviously in the judge making the decision to keep
Ditty behind bars, and Lisa Bloom saying that it had
to do with the situation with her client Don Richard
and tracking it. It certainly seems like it's something that
has some legs, especially considering that the allegations that were
(06:55):
made in these documents again were made before the indictment
was wild or at least file publicly, So that adds
a lot of credence to what Lisa Bloom is saying here.
She continued to elaborate, so the implication is very clear
that he was reaching out to her. I don't know
if he offered her something or if he scared her
or would happened, but that he's tampering with witnesses, and
(07:18):
the judge essentially said he needs to be behind bars
because we can't have witnesses tampered with. And there's no
doubt about it, that's exactly what the judge is saying.
You can't be out here at tampering with witnesses. And
if there's even any hint that that might occur. You're
not going to get bell. It's the same thing you
see with mafioso. It's the same thing you see with
(07:40):
anybody who's running an alleged criminal enterprise. Last month, Richard
came forward to take legal action against Colmes, claiming she
was verbally abused while participating in making the band alleged
sexual assault, received death threats, and detailed witnessing physical assaults
on Cassie Ventura. Mister Combs is shocked and disabl pointed
(08:00):
by this lawsuit, detailed his attorney, Ericle wolf in a
statement at the time. Can you imagine the scene at
Erical Wolfe's office as these lawsuits continue to come in.
This lady's going to need an army of paralegals in
an attempt to rewrite history. Don Richards has now manufactured
a series of false claims, all in the hopes of
trying to get a payday, conveniently time to coincide with
(08:22):
her album release and press tor. The memo continued, It's
unfortunate that miss Richard has cast their twenty year friendship
decide to try and get money from them, But mister
Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to
proving that in court. Oh, I'm sure that he's just
over the moon that there's what two hundred, two hundred
(08:44):
and fifty lawsuits that have been filed against them. Yeah,
that's very exciting stuff, said nobody ever, the whole entire Oh,
I'm excited to exonerate myself. I'm excited to defend myself
from these charges. Save that shit. Everybody knows you're not
excited about any of this. Now, you might have been
excited about the baby oil and you know, dominating people,
(09:05):
but your bitch ass isn't excited about sitting in that jail.
Cell I can tell you that much. Aligning with the
statement made by Bloom the day Richard's lawsuit became public, news,
Colmes allegedly called or texted COLLEENL. Harper fifty eight times
in four days, according to NBC News. Harper subsequently made
a statement on social media denying claims made by Richard's filing.
(09:27):
This incident is just one way of making clear that
this defendant has the ongoing ability to keep witnesses, even
witnesses who might have been around for the very distant
in time, abuse, in his pocket and at his disposal.
Explained one of the prosecutors, assist in US attorney Emily
Johnson Colmes, was arrested in New York City amid the
(09:48):
mounting civil lawsuits on criminal allegations of racketeering, conspiracy, sex
trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage
in prostitution. Is pleaded not guilty to the aforementioned charges.
As mister Colmbs's legal team is emphasized, he cannot address
every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.
(10:10):
Wolf shared in a statement earlier this month, after more
lawsuits were filed against her client, that said, mister Combs
emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim
that he sexually abused anyone, including miners. He looks forward
to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if
and when the claims are filed and served, where the
(10:32):
truth will be established based on evidence, not on speculation. Cool,
let's get to that evidence part. Huh. Let's get to
the whole entire discovery phase. Let's get to the depositions,
and let's see what's what. Unfortunately, most of these civil cases,
keep in mind, are going to be paused, and that's
because the criminal aspect of all of this is the
(10:53):
most important component as far as the state's concerned. So
the civil cases, they're going to be paused, they're going
to be back shelved, and we're going to get on
with the criminal case first. Now, again that doesn't mean
that these cases aren't going to get filed. There's just
not going to be any conclusion. There's not going to
be a trial or anything like that until the criminal
portion gets wrapped up. But these civil cases that have
(11:15):
been filed that continue to be filed, are a treasure
trove for the investigators. And there's no doubt looking at
the indictment that the investigators are taking a good hard
look at these civil cases and they're using them to
help build the case against Ditty. And I expect that
to continue as this case continues to be built and
(11:36):
as new accusers continue to come forward, and as far
as Don Richard goes, I think that she's going to
end up being a witness when it comes time for trial.
Now that's just my speculation, but I think that her
statements and what she has to say about Ditty is
going to be used as testimony. And my guess is
Don Richard isn't going to be the only one, all right, folks,
(11:59):
that's going to do it for this All of the
