Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Evlon Logan Cruz. Here back with another dose of
the discipline. Switch to day. We're diving into something super important,
something that might feel a little fluffy at first, but
trust me, it's anything. But we're talking about self love
and acceptance, two things that can seriously level up your
whole life. Ever, notice how much easier it is to

(00:22):
be kind and patient with others when you're feeling good
about yourself exactly. Let's face it, in this world of
constant comparison and pressure, it's easy to get caught up
in the noise. We're bombarded with images and messages telling
us who we should be, what we should look like,
and how we should live. It's exhausting. But here's the

(00:45):
real deal. You are already enough just as you are.
No need to chase some one else's definition of success
or happiness. So let's break it down. Here are five
key takeaways that will help you cultivate a deeper sense
of self love and acceptance. One practice radical self compassion.

(01:08):
This isn't about being all soft and easy on yourself
when you mess up, though that's part of it. It's
about treating yourself with the same kindness, understanding, and support
you would offer a good friend going through a tough time.
Imagine your best friend just bombed and important presentation. What
would you say to them? Probably something encouraging and supportive.

(01:32):
Right now, apply that same mindset to your own setbacks.
Remember everyone stumbles sometimes, it's how we get back up
the counts. Two. Ditch the negative self talk. We all
have that inner critic whispering doubts and insecurities in our ears.
But guess what, you don't have to listen to it.

(01:54):
Start noticing those negative thoughts and challenge them. Ask yourself,
is this really true? Or would I say this to
a friend? Often the things we tell ourselves are harsher
than anything anyone else would ever say. Three. Celebrate your winds,
big and small. Don't wait for some monumental achievement to

(02:15):
feel proud of yourself. Celebrate every little victory along the way.
Finish that workout awesome, nailed a difficult task at work?
High five. These small winds build momentum and help you
recognize your own progress. Remember, even a tiny step forward
is still progress. Four. Focus on what you can control.

(02:41):
We can't control everything in life, but we can control
our reactions and how we choose to show up each day.
Instead of dwelling on things beyond your influence, focus your
energy on what you can change, your attitude, your habits,
your mindset. This shift intive can be incredibly empowering. Five.

(03:04):
Be kind to your body. It's your vessel. Treat it
with respect and care, fuel it with nourishing food, move
it in ways that feel good, and give it plenty
of rest. Remember, self love is not about perfection. It's
about acceptance and appreciation for the unique body you have.

(03:24):
Think about a time when someone criticized something about your
appearance or personality. How did that make you feel? Ugh? Right?
That feeling, the sting of insecurity, the urge to defend yourself,
can really take a toll on our self worth. But
what if we flip the script. What if we started
seeing those criticisms as opportunities for growth and self acceptance.

(03:48):
Take that comment about your outfit choice, for example, Instead
of letting it drag you down, how about using it
as a chance to experiment with different styles. Maybe there's
something new you discover that makes you feel even more
confident and empowered. Remember, true self love is about embracing
all aspects of yourself, the good, the bad, and everything

(04:11):
in between. So what's one small step you can take
today to show yourself some extra love. Maybe it's putting
on your favorite outfit, taking a relaxing bath, or simply
saying I am enough out loud. Don't forget self. Love
isn't a destination, it's a journey, and every day is

(04:34):
an opportunity to choose kindness, acceptance, and compassion for yourself.
Keep showing up, keep growing, and keep shining until next time.
Stay disciplined, stay focused, and most importantly, stay true to yourself.
