(00:00):
On this edition of the dragon ConPregame Show podcast. This is really sort
of a dragon Con post game showin reality. This particular interview does talk
a little bit about dragon CON's past, including the twenty twenty three dragon Con,
and it starts talking a little bitabout twenty nineteen because that's the year

(00:23):
that I met Cooper Andrews. Iinterviewed him for the Pregame Show, and
then we hung out some at dragonCon that year. And in twenty twenty
three, he and Dan Foegler, his friend and co star from The Walking
Dead, where they're in attendance, and I get to see Cooper and hang

(00:47):
out a little bit with him thisyear, and it was there that he
first talked to me about this ideathat the two of them had, which
was to put on a festival slashconvention, sort of a small, very
personal thing that you were able toparticipate in that was going to involve various

(01:11):
performers and crew members that were involvedin working on The Walking Dad, as
well as some of their other friendsfrom other projects and things. And he
wanted to do something to support thecrew members, the behind the scenes people
that work on movies and TV showsthat were impacted by the strikes, the

(01:34):
sag after and writers strike that wasall going on during Dragon Con. It
was a weird period for doing interviewsbecause the folks that we were interviewing as
working media at any convention were notable to talk about the projects that the
actors were involved in in the past, any work that they'd ever done that

(01:56):
was considered struck work. We weren'table to talk about it. So it
was a cool thing that he wastelling me about while we were there,
and I wanted, you know,to offer, Hey, let me help
you guys promote this. So wediscussed it a little bit then, and
about a week or so ago, maybe Cooper sent me a text and said,

(02:19):
hey, can we put something together. We want to Dan and I
want to come on your show andtalk about Kingdom Fest. And I said,
absolutely, anything I can do tosupport it. I like the idea.
I like the fact that they're supportingthe crew that were you know,
impacted so much because of the strikes. I like the fact that it's it's

(02:43):
around the holidays. It sounds likeit's going to be a fun event.
It's going to be happening, youknow, rolling right into the Christmas season.
And this is a time when youknow, those folks that were impacted
by those strikes are probably really youknow, this is a weird time.
We're coming out of COVID, wehave an economy that's in a weird play.
And you know, they were impactedagain like three punches in a row

(03:05):
with the strikes and not being ableto work. And I have friends that
work, as you know, crewon shows and movies, so they were
impacted directly, so I know whatsome of them are dealing with. So
I appreciated the fact that they're doingthis. I love the opportunity to talk
with Cooper and Dan about this project. I just had a really good time

(03:30):
talking. I always have a goodtime talking with Cooper. It's my first
time talking with Dan, and thisis Cooper Andrews, Dan Fogeler and I
chatting about Kingdom Fest. And webegan the interview with me talking about seeing
Dan at conventions but not ever actuallyhaving talked to him before. I feel

(03:53):
like we've met even though we haven't, because we've been at a number of
conventions together, and I think I'veseen you walk right past me a number
of times, but but never actuallysaid hi. So here we are high
you were you as yourself or wereyou a cosplaying or like what was it?
Well, I've only just recently gotteninto the actual cosplaying part of all

(04:15):
that because I've got friends that theystarted talking me into it because I was
always there working, so I wasalways you know, working radio guy.
And then at some point my friendswere like, Hey, we're going to
all dress like different versions of elevenfrom Stranger Things. You want to put
on this pink dress? And I'mlike, fine, where's the pink I
think I saw that. I thinkI saw that. Yeah, I was

(04:39):
right before we went outside. Yeah, so so yeah that was me.
So yeah, it seems like weknow each other kind of yeah, yeah,
yes, of course, yes, you've left an impression. Yeah,
what else do you cosplay as well? This year we we swung kind of
obscure with and it occurred to usfor random reasons, we got in on

(05:03):
this, My brother and I goton this little house on the prairie kick,
So we all came dressed, Weall came dressed as you know character
some little house on the prairie, and it occurred to me that maybe in
the you know, thirty year historyof Dragon con no one's ever dressed as
Michael Landon in any capacity, soI think I'm the first. That's amazing.

(05:24):
Watchd that little girl run down thehill the flowers that used to make
me feel so warm inside when Iwas a kid, I was like,
yea, And people always said tome when I told him I was watching
the show, they said, youdidn't watch that show as a kid,
And I'm like, all I reallyremember from it was the you know,

(05:46):
Carrie falling down, coming down thehill. That's all I remember. And
it's so wholesome and warm. Theshow itself, it just it's just I
just finished it. And I don'tknow if you guys have ever watched the
finale of the Little House on thePrairie, but it is absolutely bananas.
I don't know why people don't talkabout that when they talk about TV show

(06:06):
finales, because it's nuts. Whathappened. I don't remember. They blow
up the whole town, like buildingby building with dad I'm not I'm not
joking. They had to clear thelot they had they borrowed this this land
for the show, and they hadto clear the lot and they were like,
we're just gonna bulldoze it and MichaelLanding was like, so we can

(06:28):
just destroy the buildings and they're likeyeah, and he goes, let me
go work on something. So hewrote a script, well they just blow
up the town and brilliant. Yeah. I mean it's and you're when you're
I was watching it, I thought, is this really happening on the show?
What is going on here? Whatwas the reason they were blowing up?

(06:49):
No, there was a guy thatthat claimed that when when they did
the homestead for that land, thathe really owned it and they weren't supposed
to be there. So it wasa big f you to all that the
guy and it was a damn theman moment. And they're all blowing up
the because he wanted to take overthe whole town and run the businesses and
they were like, you can't haveour businesses, so they're blowing them all
up. It's all wow, Yeah, it's crazy. They have all the

(07:13):
all the effects budgets for the lastepisode, but they had soundless they had
to clear it anyway. That soundslike a walking dead thing man like the
whole place about fire but out coverage, So like, yeah, doesn't sound
like Michael Landon does it, doesn'tyou know, and he goes from that

(07:34):
to Highway to Heaven? Right,Cooper, you are you old enough for?
I was old enough for. Well. I just binged the whole thing,
the whole all nine seasons and allthree TV movies. I am officially

(07:58):
caught up on Little House, theright Thing to watch. I might watch
that now though, and then, you know, what's beautiful? Go ahead?
Man? No, I was gonnasay he could cosplay as a Victor
French next year with us at DragonCon. So perfect. What's beautiful is

(08:20):
like you have all these like rerunall these shows like that syndicated shows from
Aze like my daughter Now, mydaughters are watching Friends like I didn't really
but I'm like watching it now withthem and they like love it. I'm
just like, this is crazy, man. It's like it's like you guys
are getting good education from like purenineties television. You know. My boys

(08:46):
are watching uh, Futurama and Simpsonsthat way, and I'm just like that,
all right, there we go,Yeah, no, that's perfectly fine.
Like my fifteen year old can handlea Family Guy, but I'm not
ready for my twelve year old Quito be on Family Guy yet. But

(09:07):
you know, yeah, that getsa little that's crazy. I yeah,
I grew up like I watched everyI watched The Simpsons grow up. I
was watching it on the Trace, the Omens Show. I was like the
you know they had the little comic. It was a it was a cartoon
interlude on the Trace the Omens Show, and I was like, oh,
I love that as a little kid. And then when that became The Simpson

(09:33):
Man, I was like, Iwas Bart Simpson girl. Like I was
like I was, I was drawingBart Simpson on all my notebooks and shit
and like posters, all the shirtsand Don't have a Cow and all that,
like like I just I grew upwith that man. That was my
damn. I love that show. You and I are about the same age.

(09:54):
I think I'm about a year olderthan you, so we're we're kind
of syncd up on all that. And it was you know, Mayor with
children and Simpsons Man that made Fox. Oh yeah yeah, I mean I
was watching that at the tender age, at a young tender age, but
I was there a huge, hugecrush on Christina Applegates. Oh, I

(10:15):
do want to talk about Kingdom Fest, But before we jumped to that,
I just want to remind Cooper thatthe last time I interviewed him, we
wont a Gabby award, So nopressure this time or anything. Wow,
we do award winning interviews here, let that be known. And I remember
we finished the interview and we stoppedand Cooper was like, this was a

(10:39):
really good interview. And I waslike, I didn't know he was gonna
be so shocked, Like I didn'tknow. He's like, no, they
were good questions. I was like, all right, I'm going to save
that little clip just so I canstay humble. It was a great interview,
and it was funny because I waswalking through a building that was still
like you had to wear a hardhat, and I was just wandering through

(11:00):
without a hard hat. It waslike an apartment building that I was like,
I should not be in any ofthese rooms. I just remember talking
to you to them, I'm like, I'm in a room that has no
wall and it's three stories up.I could I could hear, you know,
in the background. It was allkind of stuff going on. I
was like, this is great, but hey, you know it worked.
It wanted Gabby, so I'll takeit. George, Association of Broadcasters,

(11:22):
Thanks yea. They liked it.You know, this is my first interview
I think that I'm aware of witha with a Tony Award winner. So
you know, we're just adding tothe mix. Man, you like that.
I do like that. Yeah,And I have it right here with

(11:43):
me. It's right here with me. I always take it with me.
That's how I am with my myCooper Gabby. You know, I keep
the Cooper Gabby nearby all the time. It was hard to get security.
Sang a little song and they letme go. I have already had the

(12:07):
chance to gush over Cooper's resume withour other interview, and I could go
through so much of your stuff,Dan, but I the offer. I
mean, come on, it wasso good you were You were so good
in it, and it's like youhave those couple of moments where you're like,
is this the same guy? Isthis Dan Fogler? Like he's killing
it and doing drama and I knowthat you can do drama, but you

(12:31):
know, we're just so used toyou being the funny guy. Yeah.
People don't know, man, likeI was doing. I went to college
for this, you know, Iwas doing like like hardcore like Shakeleeare and
you know Uncle bandya like, checkup doing the like dark dark shit in
college and then I, you know, and then I get out into the

(12:52):
world. So hey, Tangong, you know, like whatever, you know,
whatever you know, whatever works. But like I'm glad people like twenty
years later are sorry to see. That's how it is with character actors.
You know, you get in thedoor and then you play a certain note

(13:13):
for a while, and then aftera while they give you a chance to
start flexing your muscles and then youget to show people where you can really
do. You know that's true,And you're in that vein of the Jim
Carreys and the Adam Sandlers. Theyget around to doing drama and people go,
oh wow, okay, I'll takeit. I'll take that. Yeah,
a little SoundBite, I can carryher? What would be to hey?

(13:33):
And and those guys don't have don'thave Tony's so you know they don't
have that for him. Oly shit, you're right, thanks, So I
appreciate that. Well, you gotthe best shot of any of us on
this call of getting the egott unlessthey can switch the g over to Gabby,

(13:54):
I guess Cooper and I a behind. We're just getting an honorary am
me just for being him. Ithink Cooper's my dude. I say it
all the time, that's my dude. And when he's at a convention,
we're gonna definitely bump into each otherand hang a little bit. We got
a nice paparazzi shot of us thelast Dragon con where I'm dressed as Eleven

(14:20):
in the pink dress. Cooper's dressedas I don't Wicket, one of the
ewoks, and somebody snapped a photoand I ended up I sent it to
him. But what's cool about that? And I'll use this as my segue
because what we're talking about in thatphoto is Kingdom Fest. That's the first
that's the first time he brought itup to me. And he's like,
you know, we we'll get youto help us promote this thing when it

(14:43):
comes around. And I'm like, absolutely, so, uh, tell tell
us about Kingdom Fest. This issomething that I have watched you guys talk
about on Instagram Live. I feellike I'm on an Instagram Live with you
guys. That's I'm like the thirdguy in there at the moment. But
but how did how did this comeabout? Like? Is this something that
you guys said, Hey, wewant to do a convention or festival or

(15:05):
did this start as we want todo something to help out the crew that
was affected, you know, bythe by the strikes or is it kind
of a combo of both. Thiswas uh yeah, yeah, go ahead,
Yeah this uh uh, this wasa combo. It's funny because Dan
and I we've been talking about,uh doing a convention for years now,

(15:28):
and when this strike came about,Dan was like, hey, should we
should we do that that convention? Now? Should we do the Kingdom Fest?
And you know, we had thoughtof a name and what we would
be doing with it. And Iwas like, dude, that's crazy.
There's only a few months left. And then I'm like, but that is

(15:50):
what we do. We are crazy. So let's let's do this. And
we have assembled some amazing people andwe've called in our friends from from the
show to see if they wanted tocome. And but yeah, this was
a this was a thing too well. We wanted to do it. Unto

(16:10):
this. We we saw this asa big benefit for film crew because and
as it and as the strike grewon and on, We're like, oh,
we we definitely need to incorporate, you know, our crew into this.
So unlike other conventions, we actuallyhave crew members being a part of
it and also being on these panelsand you and fans going to ask them

(16:36):
questions because they're on the they're onthe show longer than we are. You
know, it's like, you know, for an episode, I do you
know, anywhere between one day toyou know, six to seven days,
but they're on it every day,and so they had all these stories,
all this knowledge. So the ideaof the Kingdom Fest is really more of
an insider uh perspective on film andand we wanted fans uh. And we

(17:02):
also wanted to keep it intimate. We wanted to keep it small and and
not do it at a standard hotel. We wanted it to be a place
where you can kind of create amemory, uh, just by walking around.
And this gives people a chance toreally sort of get to know really
get to know the cast and crewand you know, in how we work

(17:25):
and how we are as people. But yeah, this is this has been
pretty exciting doing all this stuff. We've been making some zany commercials and uh,
and it's just been a you know, it's it's been fun getting to
make it. And we're excited abouteveryone that's going to be coming next week.
Well but yet, I remember fromour Gabby Award winning interview that you

(17:47):
know, you got the call aboutthe Walking Dead while you were working sound
on a job. So I knowthis crew thing, it hits close to
home for you. Oh yeah, this is I mean, I'm I'm,
I see and I am SAG.I am in both these unions and as
IATI first, and I was actuallyfilming. I was shooting. I was

(18:07):
I was shooting my own fight sequencewhen I got that call. I was
in the swimming pool with the withthe camera rig as my two stunt friends
were going at it. And Ihave friends who are that are in the
cruise and they're working, you know, they're working jobs that we normally,
I would normally never imagine them workingin, you know, And there's nothing

(18:29):
against those. It's just I seesome amazing creators just doing anything they can
to make, you know, makeends meet right now. And this is
a this you know, conventions, like I said, are normally actors,
you know, talking about what wedo when we get to have a blast.
I'm always like, man, somecruise should be here to really like
they can tell the story way betterthan I can. But yeah, so

(18:52):
this hits This definitely hits home forme and also my whole film career.
You know, I came up inAtlanta. This is where, this is
where I'm from. I love it. You know, this is you know,
this is this is my home, and you know, knowing that people
are here and that there are thousandsof people out of work or that are
going to be struggling for the holidaysand it's not gonna be like holidays that

(19:14):
they're used to really, you know, really put a fire under us to
make this event great. It's greatthat you guys are doing this, and
you guys can talk about some ofthe guests that are going to be there.
You talk about your friends that aregoing to be there. When folks
come to the Kingdom Fest, whoare they going to get a chance to

(19:34):
mingle with? And it's being onthe subject of mingling too. And I
know I asked a question and I'mstepping right over it, but I like
to think when when I heard aboutwhat you guys were doing in this venue,
it made me think a little bitabout when you hear about like a
band or a TV show that sayswe're gonna we're going to take over a
cruise ship and we're going to havepeople come and be on this cruise ship

(19:56):
and get a chance to mingle withus and be a part of that.
This feels like a small or moreintimate version of that. Uh yeah,
that's actually yeah, that's exactly whatit's. I was like, what would
be like for a cruise because it'sbecause it cruise, you know, it
takes to a to another place thatyou know, and you're you're moving and
here and we're going to the Chateauon which is this gorgeous, beautiful winery

(20:22):
and resort spots. It's it's allthat, but it's it's just so you
know, we'll have fans on youknow, Friday night, get to you
know, walk around the grounds withus, hang out, just talk.
We're gonna do uh you know,we'll have meals and hangouts at the at
the pubs and the bars near there. And then uh, Saturday, we're

(20:44):
gonna have our you know panels anduh you know, in our our industry
panels. We're gonna have Dave Willisand Dana Snyder from Aquatine Hunger Force.
They're gonna be showing an episode andthen doing a he's doing like a voiceover
panel. Afterwards, We're going tohave uh karaoke. We're going to have

(21:06):
uh uh improv where you know,we'll we'll we'll tell stories and we'll have
actors and that you know, andthe cast you know, join in on
all of this and fans will beable to interact and you know, it's
it's just a sort of putting ona performance. But it's also because it's
the holiday season. We're now inDecember, and I love this is like
my favorite time of the year, don't know, I'm very dan and I

(21:30):
have want to you know, wewere still gonna do it, but like
a Santa story, you know, when I'm playing the Santa Claus and but
it's a this is to just sortof make sort of make it feel warm.
Things have been things have been hard, and we're trying to you know,
trying to put a little bit ofa smile on everyone's face. You

(21:56):
know. Now we're gonna be plottingwith a pimps. It will be helping
all the friends with the cruise. It's gonna be helping Lifeligne animals. We're
gonna be you know, uh,we're gonna be working with uh, you
know, so many people in need, and it's it's it feels good to
be able to do. Also, this is you know, this is mine
and dance. We we own thisthing. This is our our, our

(22:18):
event. So it's we're we're nothere trying to be you know, slimy
like some people we've worked in thepast. I don't want to drag anything
like that, but it's you know, we're people, our names are are
on it. This is this isuh, you know, this is our
thing, and we want people toknow that we're we're making sure that this
is an amazing time and we're gonnahave all for for a good cause.

(22:42):
Man like help the actors and thecrews that we're affected by the strike,
helping them pay some bills this uhyou know, this holiday season and for
like life Lifeline Pets is great toobecause the it's for their it's explained that

(23:03):
Cooper, that's that's you're getting. You're making sure that the pets stay with
their families and they get set right. Yes, it's you know people that
have had to like get rid oftheir animals because they couldn't afford them.
Uh. The lifeline that helps uh. Uh helps people keep you know,
let them keep their animals, youknow, they help give them food,

(23:26):
help you know, with their theirmedical stuff. And it's it's a very
you know, it's an awesome projectthey have, and it's something that we're
really proud to be working with. And and we have like an amazing list
of people who are gonna we're havingwhat we're calling, you know, like
an old school telethon, but it'slike we're calling it a virtual virtual soon

(23:48):
and uh, we have we're basicallyputting on a big variety show on Saturday,
which is with That's the big youknow, centerpiece of Vent really,
which is this four hour event ofcomedy and improv and holiday stories and the
Kingdom Fest Banned, which is gonnabe an hour of a set of holiday

(24:12):
and and all sorts of rock music, all sorts of different kinds of music
that we're putting together for this wild, you know, odd stage party that
we're putting together with the cast fromThe Walking Dead. I know Cassidy is
gonna perform, I know Margot isgoing to perform. I'm going to perform,

(24:34):
Cooper's going to perform. Uh,and we have people who are going
to be chiming in during the conand they have auction items that they're gonna
you know, present for donation, and so that list is amazing, man,

(24:55):
Like we're gonna have well, GregNikoto, who we'd love it's gonna
chime in and say hello, he'sa director for The Walking Dead, George
Lopez carry out, It's Kevin Smith, got the Cumberbatch, Alison Sudal who's

(25:15):
Mike Queeney from the Fantastic Beast movies. Doctor mel and uh Lea Tom said
like we have this like like andand more and more people are signing on
because they really want to support thecause. You know, a lot of
these people worked in Georgia and theywant to make sure that these crews that

(25:37):
were suffering during the strike that they'reable to pay their bills this holiday.
So everyone, it's a beautiful thing, man, Like that's it seems like
you know, like that you wantsaying it's a poppy for the purpose,
but like that's what it is,Like we it's it's everyone needs to blow
off some steam night holiday end ofthe year party after this crazy year,

(25:59):
and this is the place to doit. And it's so freaking relaxing.
There at the shet So, yeah, that was that was a big thing.
We wanted to make sure that itwas not just in some you know,
just based the hotel. We wantedto be a getaway. They got
wine towards there the spa. Likethink about the photo ops Like we're like

(26:21):
the photo ops like, we reallywant to create a tradition where you know,
our Singdom Fast photo op is youknow, could be your holiday card
that season. You know, like, yeah, that's that's that's that's what
we want, you know, wewe And something that I'm looking forward to,
Cooper is after we do everything andwe get to relax on Sunday and

(26:45):
if people are still around like hangout with us, We're gonna do brunch
and and we're gonna watch football.And I just can't like, I'm so
excited just to chill and other peopleand just watch the games that day.
And I'm looking forward or to alot of it. But I don't know,
I just keep on thinking and stuff. I'm like, I know,
I'm excited about you. I lovejust how you guys are just giddy over

(27:10):
it. I mean, I knowyou're you're talking about the cause is obviously
U such a huge part of this. But just hearing how excited you guys
are about it, man, Imean you're you're you're giddy. Uh,
just just over all the things thatyou're gonna get to do. You mentioned
karaoke, and I know you saidyou guys are going to be performing.
I don't know if that's gonna beholiday songs, but you guys have a

(27:30):
go to karaoke song that you mightbe doing when you're there. Is there
a well? I yeah, Ithat's a good question for the for the
for the performance aspects of it.Where we have the Kingdom Fast Band,
I think I'm gonna do maybe uhyou know, the letter Joe Cocker style,

(27:56):
but also like I'm really we wantto do songs where it's like an
ensemble song where a lot of peopleget to do it. So I think
we're gonna do something like Bruce Springsteen, Uh, Santa Claus is coming in
town, you know that run rockand roll style. I think Cassidy is

(28:18):
gonna sing Son of a Preacher.Man, I'm really excited about that.
What else? Uh? What's mygo to? You know? I I'll
I'll always do the doors. ButI also like wanted Dead or Alive by
bon Jovie. My god, Ijust can't. I can't stop. What

(28:40):
about you, Cooper? I wantI like doing uh, you know,
good Bible help from my friends, and I like to do uh uh crash
test dummies the once where was aboy who tried to make a convench in
and turn it to a fast andhis friend Dan. Yeah, we're gonna

(29:04):
do fold gear and a common along. It's almost like the original lyrics.
Yeah, that's perfect. I don'tI didn't see any fault in that was
that spontaneous or you've been working onthat. That just that just happened right

(29:26):
now. Man, that's how wewrote mand comedy. I like you.
Yeah, you mention looking forward todoing the improv too. I mean it's
we really want, you know. And we have a whole virtual aspect to
this as well, for people thatcan't come or in different countries or so
they and they'll be able to interactwith us. We're gonna have someone uh

(29:48):
on the ground sort of representing them, so they'll be able to like we'll
be checking in with them. It'slike we got questions, and then we'll
have like our virtual audience being ableto check out things and they'll be able
to uh uh you know, they'llbe able to auction from there as well,
and have we have our vendors andstuff like that, so they'll still
be able to be a part ofit. And it's just gonna be it's

(30:11):
it's just gonna be entertaining. Imean, I just this is really gonna
be really entertaining time for all ofus. And what what what we should
add is that like if you're comingfor a comic a comic con, uh
feel like we have all that. You'll be able to get autographed, you
get photo ops and selfies and youknow, like Cooper said, there's the
vendors there. You'll be able toget your pop doll if you want it,

(30:34):
Like you have all these you haveall of these, uh you know,
there's the same perks that you getwith the comic con. But then
we're also uh doing this televised thingwhere we're doing it for a good cause
and you're gonna get this like wildvariety show with all your favorite celebrities performing

(31:00):
and then we all get to hangout. Man, Like I feel like
we're if if I know it's goingto be great and if we do pull
it off, I think we're likereinventing how to do this stuff, because
I don't think anyone's done it likethis before. Coop and I remember,

(31:21):
and I had I've been to severaland I haven't been to one anything like
this, And I like what youguys are are trying to execute? And
Cooper was telling me in a text, Uh, yesterday, who knew the
promoters had to work as hard?Yeah? Exactly who? So you know,

(31:42):
there's a certain exhaustion that like you'relike running on you know, just
the moxie and the passion for doingit. And and I looked at Cooper
the other day and I was justlike, why are we okay right now?
I know we're I know we're thisis we're like, you know,
pushing this up to mount, Butwhy are we okay with it? Like?

(32:04):
Why are we able to see endurance? It's like the endurance that you
need when you're making movies and you'reputting on a show. And that's the
kind of like, that's the kindof endurance where it's like the show must
go on, So we do whateverwe have to do to make that happens.
We do it in the business, and so that's the same kind of

(32:24):
energy and passion we put into this. You know, it's just familiar,
familiar feeling. You know, ifyour Christmas themed variety show needs a mother
ginger. Cooper is well aware thatI've been doing that in our local ballet
production of The Nutcracker. And youtalk about persevering an endurance, you know,

(32:46):
that's a role that you're on stiltswhen you play. And I did
that needing a hip surgery a coupleof years ago, and it's exactly what
you're talking about. You just gogot to do the show. I need
to schedule the hip surgery for afterthe show because I'm gonna be on stilts
and and my surgeon's like, they'regonna be what exactly? And I said,
oh, down stilt's in a bighoop dress with children underneath running out

(33:08):
of the dress. And he's like, all right, we'll schedule it for
after then January it is. Sothat's about Hey, maybe we maybe we
work that out. I'd love toshow up and who knows, maybe maybe
Cooper and Dan come out of thedress. Talk about the full guest list

(33:46):
of folks that are going to bethere. You mentioned some of the folks
that will be there virtually folks aregoing to be there in person. You
talked about the autographs and the selfiesand things. Who are some of your
friends that are going to be thereon site that folks can meet in person?
Yes, we have to the Youcan go to the Instagram the Kingdom
sets on Instagram and the Kingdomfests dotcom and you can see a list of

(34:08):
it. But uh, give itaway tell them with him. Yeah,
Well we got you know, wegot Cassidy mcclinsey. We've got Michael Cutlets,
We've got Seth Gilliam, we haveMargot Bingham, We've got Michael James
Shaw. We've got we have uhmy so my Kingdom Kingdom friends, Nadine

(34:34):
Marissa and Carrie Cahill. We haveuh Dave Willis and Dana Snyder that will
be coming in. Uh Callen anda good friend Callen mcallis joining us as
well. Uh. And then we'regonna have some more Atlanta locals coming in.

(34:58):
But we're gonna you know, we'rejust making sure that they're like they're
they're you know, they'll be there, but they I'm pretty sure, So
I don't want to name their names, but like you're you're gonna see.
I guess we call that surprises. There'll be a few more surprises of people
that are that are coming in thatI don't want to name, but they
won't they won't disappoint. Did youknow that it was Cassidy mcclinsey Zang her

(35:22):
last last name. Did you knowthat? I knew it after after I
saw the the jang Zang Zang ZangJang d h A n G. That's
a great name. It is agreat name. It's like she just added
more great name to her great name. But these are yeah, we have

(35:49):
we have other friends that were thatwe wanted there but you know, couldn't
couldn't make it. But it's youknow, it's gonna timon. They'll chime
in virtually, they'll yeah, youknow I'm excited about. Is Kyle Newman,
my buddy who directed Fanboys. Hehas it. He has a new
documentary out called Disturbance in the Forestand it's it's about it's a documentary that

(36:16):
several comedians talking about Star Wars holidays. Yes, sir, and I'm yeah,
and we're gonna do a screening ofthat and uh, we're actually gonna
watch the Star Wars Holiday Special aswell. Uh, Mystery Signs Theater three
thousand Styles have everybody commenting about it. You should get in on that west.

(36:39):
You know, a lot of usare gonna be Yeah, dude,
if you're if you're into that kindof thing. Uh, it should be
a night of hilarity. Uh andyes, count me in. When was
the last time you guys saw theHoliday Special? I was one years old.
Man, it was like that wasthe only thing I remember is the

(36:59):
bone Bak cartoon. Like I'm Isaid, and a bunch of wookies acted
weird. But you know, butwhat crazy is? I watched the trailer
and I was like, holy shit, I curse. I'm sorry, Sure,
I said, Oh, oh mygosh. They have the whole cat.
Harrison Ford is in it, flyinglittle cardboard and Mark Abell and carry

(37:23):
Figure like they got everybody all thecostumes and they're all dancing around like it's
a variety show. I think it'shilarious. Uh, you know, it's
just my guilty pleasure. I hada streak of watching it every year over
the holidays with with the front Away. Yeah, we watched it many years
and eventually our wives said, youwe're gonna take because he stayed on DVD.

(37:46):
My wife actually threatened to destroy it. She's like, I cannot watch
it again. It's gone. Ifyou even take it out of the case,
I'm going to break it. It'sit's so bad. It really did
luke it even let it happen. You're what, It's just it's such a
cluster, you know, it's itbe Arthur is in it, Harvey Korman

(38:08):
is in it. Art Carney isin it. And you're just like all
these people that you're going, whatwhat what am I watching? Exactly?
And it's so and then they nameall the wookies. It's like Lumpy and
I don't know Whitey and the Beaver. I don't know where they picked.
They just picked a leave it tobeaver names. Maybe for the the I
don't know what they were I meanfor the wookies. I don't know what

(38:28):
they were doing. Man, it'ssuch a nightmare to even try to sit
like, like, you know,Chewbaki is chewy. So I was like,
oh, it's grumpy and lumpy, but it's Lumpboka and and you know
and Grumbaka. Yeah, you getto give it a little bit more of
Gravita The amazing thing about the timesthat I watched it with my friend and

(38:54):
our wives were like, no iswe The plan was for my friend and
I to just kind of, youknow, go to his den and we
would watch it, and but everybodywould end up gravitating into the room and
just staring at the train wreck onthe screen. And my wife can't handle
it. My wife is like,I got to get out of this room.
I'm gonna by myself. And that'swhen she's it's not it is not

(39:19):
at all, and she she nopart of it none Whatso if I break
out an Edwood movie, She's like, I'm gonna be in another room.
I can't watch this. This isthis is a blesser heartline. So she
just couldn't handle it. She doesn'tlike watching bad movie intentionally bad. Well,
that one wasn't intentionally bad. Thatone was just accidentally bad. But
uh sometimes sometimes those intentionally bad moviesare really good. But anyway, Yeah,

(39:45):
so you guys have tickets available onthe website, the Kingdomfest dot com.
Now, I know you got thiskingdom Fest. It's a great name.
I just want to make sure peopleknow that the Kingdomfest dot com is
the website because I googled Kingdom Fastuh a week ago and I got about
twenty different youth group missionary trips thatshowed up on it. So uh yeah,

(40:08):
we we were like, yeah, well we'll do the reference from you
know, the show, you know, then you know, like and have
our mascot be the tiger and everyonewill recognize that. And then we just
didn't realize that, you know, you don't put the thun there, and
then you know, it's the wholeother story. It's like if you really

(40:29):
love God, like, hey, yeah that is awesome. But we were
we were you know, we weremore of a pop culture reference, you
know, yeah, yeah, Kingdom. Well, you got to wonder if
somebody's going to show up at oneof these youth group things and go,
oh, where the hell is DanFogler and Cooper Andrews or the opposite.

(40:51):
You know, we just we justget a lot of mission missionaries walking up.
You know, what's going on here? I can't find the celebrities,
but we find on Jesus. Sothat's what it is the time of year
for that, I guess. Sothere it is. You know, Well,
the full plug full plug for theKingdom Fast dates and any more info

(41:15):
they need to know. Tickets startat what christ good question you think we
would know? I think I thinkwe have a our are well, well
it's twenty what's the virtual is likea twenty twenty five dollars ticke or something,
and the villager price is what isthat forty five or something? What

(41:37):
was that? Yeah? You knowwhat I'm saying. I'm oking at now
we've it's coming on. Okay,So and there are different levelons with different
perk you know, you got tocheck out the website, those sorts of
fun packages. Yeah. So Fridaynight we have this hangout where it's it's
it's just a hang and it's fortyfive bucks are Saturday ticket is is ninety

(42:02):
nine, but it is what we'redoing for and who it's going to.
It's it's gonna be well worth it, and that count we're we're doing that.
That's from twelve to that's from twelveto eleven fifty uh at night,
so twelve pm to eleven fifty andthere's going to be all these fun panels

(42:25):
and there's gonna and we we limitedthis to a certain number, so it's
going to be very very intimate, and we are excited for everyone who shows
up. You'll we will know youby name by the end of this thing.
So starting at forty five for Friday, and then you've got the Saturday
ticket and then obviously VIP and allthat info is on the Kingdom festt com.

(42:49):
Not any of the not any ofthe youth group things. That's their
top prices or something else. No, but maybe they'll maybe they'll have a
link to us after after this maybe. So well, guys, I'm excited.
Hey, that's a good karaoke song. You know, there's nothing wrong
with that. I kind of gowith Wilson Phillips. Hold on. I

(43:12):
mean I can't hit any of yournotes, but it's fine. I'd like
to see that, or or GloriaLove, you know, Peter Seta.
I can't hit those either, buthey, it's worth giving it a shot.
You know, some challenge effort, throw out a crane kick or something.
I mean, you can add toit, you can always work with
it, you know, I don'tknow you hit that crane kick. You

(43:37):
hit that crane kick right, Youcan hit a lot of those high notes.
Well. I saw Cooper Kick ata press conference at Dragon Con this
year. He had one of themost awkward questions asked in a in a
press conference I've ever seen before, and everyone in the room cringed. Oh.

(43:58):
And I think, bless her heart. I think she was trying to
pay him a compliment, but itcame out so awkward, and it was
like, you know, you're you'relike a big guy, but you're an
actor and you're kind of a bigguy. And and when I saw him
later, I was like, didshe just call you fat? Like what
was the She's like, you're you'rea big guy, and how's that?
How's that feel? I'm like,I go, oh, no, I

(44:21):
guess he'll do pull ups. I'mnot really worried about it. And then
he jumps up and he does hedoes this like flying kick in the air.
He's like, wait, I canyeah I know. And I was
like, yeah, hell yeah,I get him. Get him for big
guys, get him Coop. Iwant I want Cooper to to win an

(44:43):
e guy. So he could likehave the the Aboards as weapons, so
he can just like without the Emmy, you know, and the Golden Globe
is like a club, you know, that's like it you could probably kind
of take them to a ship ifyou need to. Oh yeah, we

(45:06):
got two yeah, two cents forthat. It's good for battering and good
for good stabbing. It's like aton Tony is like a time turner.
You just spin that sucker and youget out of there real quick. I'm
sure that using them as weapons wouldbe the entire reason that Cooper would like
to win all those awards. That'sexactly what his motivation would be. I'd

(45:30):
love to say that, Tom,no forbid. He's just excited about the
accolades and the praise. No,no, no, it's about the weapons.
Yeah, that's all I like toI like to put everything connected by
a rope and just use them asfun nunchucks or whooping chain. That's two
cents and nunchucks right there, man, that's full Michaelangelo exactly. I'm smelling

(45:52):
another Gabby here. I don't knowabout you that there are good weapons.
I mean, they're not really shapedfor weaponizing, so that's uh yeah,
sadly. I guess they could bewhittled down. I don't know, and
we can always whiel it down toa sharp point that we could do.

(46:14):
I don't know, we could uhyou know, I could bring it up
for Kingdom fest, and we couldplay with it, I guess, and
see what we can come up withwith it. I mean, I don't
want to destroy it, but youknow, we could come up with a
nice weapon version of it. Whilewe're there and I'm singing hold On by
Wilson Phillips love It, wearing filmon stilts, a s giant hoop dress,

(46:35):
all of those things. This wouldbe like the perfect This is like
an egot all in one. It'sall of those things rolled into one.
Uh, guys, good luck withthe event. I hope to see you
guys there. I know in thedates for this thing, if we said
the dates, do we do wemention when this is all going down?
This is the eighth, ninth, and tenth, right, yes, and

(47:00):
the ninth is our big event dayof everything. And Fridays, uh,
we'll have uh, we'll have somesignings and stuff and uh like a little
more normal con and then there's thathangout that evening and then Sunday join us
as we eat wings and and pubit up and watch the games. So

(47:21):
I'm excited about that because then weget to then we get to relax.
Absolutely. The downside of it isalways the I forgot the Charles Ingles wig.
I need to have that on too. While I'm singing, I guess
you know my Michael Landon wig. That would really cap the hole. Oh
god, I'd love to just filmyou running down about the flowers would tilt

(47:45):
that and and all those things inyour head. I would definitely fall running
down a hill. There's no doubt. I've only fallen once on the stilts
and I've been doing this is myfifth year doing this. I've fallen once
and it was because we had astill malfunction, so it wasn't even my
doing. But thankfully I was outdoorsand I fell in grown little house in

(48:08):
the ferry then. And I thinkit can go viral, and hopefully it
doesn't end with the you know,Highway to Heaven theme because I've died.
Oh Jesus, you know I amgoing to be YouTube that entire time blowing
up after this though, I'll tellyou that much. Just building by building,

(48:29):
They're just blowing it all up,and I'm like, what the hell
am I watching one? And I'mlike imagining the end of fight Club or
something, and the person whos upeach building is like the person that like,
this was my building boom. Andthen the next guy comes in and
like, this is my this isthis is my uh my mercantile boom and

(48:50):
you know I'm the doctor. I'mgonna book the doctor's office and what what
am I watching? This is?I had to like call. I had
to call a friend who had seenit all, and I was like,
is this really the end of theshow? This is? This isn't going
to be a dream sequence or somethingthat's gonna come back, you know.
That's it just blowing up the towna big old f you to the the
landowner beautiful. So all the bigdream that alf out it was it was

(49:15):
alf dream. Wouldn't that be socrazy? If he transition Alfy what he
was that I had? And whenhe's talking about Willie Olsen, he's talking
about Willie, Well, oh mygod, you're right. Oh guys,

(49:38):
good luck with the event. Hopeto see you guys there and hang and
and uh, I'll bring the stiltsman. We'll be on it. The
