a motion for claim of unliquidated and unsecured damages from plaintiffs such as Virginia Giuffre and Sarah Ransome serves as a procedural mechanism to quantify the harm they allege was inflicted upon them by Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their associated network—including powerful figures like Prince Andrew. “Unliquidated” here means that the financial extent of their injuries—emotional trauma, psychological distress, reputational damage, and loss of opportunity—cannot be measured by a simple, pre-set formula. These motions request that the court hold an evidentiary hearing to determine a fair award based on sworn statements, therapy records, and corroborating testimony. Both women assert that their damages stem from sexual exploitation and trafficking that occurred over several years, facilitated through Epstein’s operation that spanned New York, Florida, and abroad.

The “unsecured” portion of the claim indicates that neither Giuffre nor Ransome’s damages are backed by any lien or property guarantee—they are instead dependent entirely on the court’s final judgment and the defendant’s ability (or estate’s ability) to pay. In their filings, both women describe extensive psychological and emotional harm, noting years of ongoing trauma, professional disruption, and personal devastation. The motions effectively signal the final stage of their cases: liability has already been established or admitted, and what remains is for the court to determine the proper amount of compensation. In Virginia, as with federal civil procedure, the court would weigh the evidence, consider comparable awards, and enter judgment accordingly—ensuring that the plaintiffs’ unliquidated claims are formally recognized and compensated through judicial decree.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now, Sarah Ransom, who you all know from the Jeffrey
Epstein story, has a memoir that is coming out this fall. So,
like I always say, in this story, especially cut out
all the middlemen, go right to the source. If any
of these survivors has a book out, or has a blog,

(00:21):
or has anything to say as it pertains to this case,
my suggestion is you listen up, because they are the
ones who live this story. They're the ones who were
abused by Epstein and his cohorts. And there's no lost
in the translation, shall we say, when you get it

(00:43):
directly from the survivors themselves. So when this memoir comes out,
I'm sure everybody will be buying it, and I'm sure
everybody will be checking out what she has to say,
because I have to tell you, folks, for my money,
when it comes to information in this case, the one

(01:04):
source that has been solid, just solid, throughout this whole
entire thing has been the survivors themselves. The stories that
they have told have held up against the evidence that
has come out. Things that they have talked about have
been proven to be true. So I'm very interested to

(01:25):
see what Sarah has to say in this upcoming memoir.
Let's jump into this article from ABC News and let's
see what author hellel. Italy spelled it A l ie,
by the way, has to say headline. Alleged Epstein survivor
Sarah Ransom has a memoir out in the fall. One

(01:48):
of the alleged survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Glene Maxwell
has a memoir coming out this fall. Sarah Ransom, Silenced
No More Surviving My Journey to Hell and Back is
scheduled for November seventeenth, So mark it down on your calendars, folks,
November seventeenth, right before the Gilan Maxwell trial, Sarah's book

(02:11):
comes out. So that's going to work out perfectly for
me because while I'm in New York covering the trial,
I'm going to have a commute back and forth from
where I'm staying to the court and down to the city.
So I'll have something to listen to on Audible right
up until you know the trial is done. I'm yesing
right so I'll be listening to it for the transit.

(02:35):
So depending on how long it is, probably last me
right around till the end of the trial, which will
be absolutely perfect. You know, sometimes things just fall together right, folks.
Every now and then a plan comes together, So that'll
alleviate one decision at least as far as entertainment while
I'm going from to and from the trial back and forth.

(02:59):
So that's good. Ransom has said that she was twenty
two and an aspiring student at the Fashion Institute of
Technology in Manhattan when she met Epstein in two thousand
and six and soon found herself entrapped in his world
on a private island in the Caribbean. Maxwell oversaw and
trained recruiters, developed recruiting plans, and helped conceal the activity

(03:23):
from law enforcement, according to Ransom, who has alleged Epstein
raped her repeediately. So can somebody tell me how this
isn't a Rico case? Anybody out there have a solid
explanation on why this isn't a Rico case, because there
might be an explanation out there that I'm just missing. Again.

(03:44):
I'm certainly no lawyer or some kind of legal expert,
that's for sure. So if there's something I'm missing here,
how this isn't Rico. But R. Kelly's case is, and
the Nexium people are charged with racketeering, but we don't
see any of that here, you would think that it

(04:05):
would be a parallel, right, something that would be a
road for the prosecutors to venture down, at least if
they hit them with rico. Forget it, all of these
people would be in big trouble, the recruiters, the lieutenants,
anybody who accepted money. So with them not hitting them

(04:25):
with rico, it makes you wonder what is it that
they're too scared to dig into as far as the
prosecutors go, because if this was just a regular drug
dealer case, or some mafia guy or some local thug,
they would already had RICO going on. Though my own

(04:48):
story is centered on sexual abuse, all trauma lives in
the body. It changes the shape of one's soul, Ransom
said in a statement Tuesday released by Harper One, an
imprint of Harper collinsshers. By sharing my testimony, by using
my book as a platform to start an evocative conversation
among all readers, and particularly among women, I hope to

(05:12):
see both minds and laws changed. Yeah. Look, there needs
to be some laws changed. There's no doubt there needs
to be more stringent laws, and there needs to be
a safeguard in place for situations like this. I mean,
there needs to be somewhere that people can go if
the prosecutor decides to shit on it. And I don't

(05:32):
want to hear about the Inspector General because the Inspector
General has less teeth than a ninety seven year old man.
They can indict no buddy. They can only recommend indictments
to the Department of Justice. So it becomes the circular
justice once again. We're going to really rely on these
people who are engaged in this scumbaggery to bring their

(05:55):
friends to justice. I don't have the faith in them
to do that. I don't have the faith of the
in the institutions as they are to do that. I
wish I did. I wish I could sit here and
tell you that I had all the faith in the
world in the Department of Justice, or in the FBI,
or in insert government entity here, But I do not.

(06:19):
And I think the track record of these entities and
these government institutions has proven to be pretty bad, so
they shouldn't expect the benefit of the doubt. More than anything,
I want to encourage a culture in which women, even

(06:39):
if they haven't led the perfect lives, even if they're
not proud of every one of their choices, still feel
the right to stand in their truth. That in these
years is what I'm still learning to do. Look, who
is perfect? All of these people that run around talking
about perfect people, I don't know any of them. Okay,
I don't know anyone who's perfect. Big deal. People make decisions,

(07:01):
people make bad choices. I'm not concerned about who you
were yesterday, man, I'm worried about who you are today,
what you're doing with your life now. Who hasn't had
an issue in their past where they're embarrassed by it,
or said something or done something they're embarrassed by. That's
no reason to not listen when somebody comes forward with

(07:21):
these sorts of allegations, and it's definitely time for the
worm to turn and for people to take this sort
of thing into account and to look at it more seriously.
Ransom settled a lawsuit with Epstein and Maxwell in twenty eighteen. Maxwell,
jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since last July,

(07:43):
has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges. Epstein killed
himself allegedly in his cell out of federal Manhattan lock
up in August twenty nineteen. As he awaited a sex
trafficking trial. So there you have it, folks, Sarah Ransom
dropping that memoir coming out on November seventeenth, and she's

(08:04):
about to tell her story, what she went through, the
sort of struggle that she had dealing with the Jeffrey
Epstein situation, and then of course the aftermath. I think
sometimes we forget about the aftermath because the actual act
is so brutal, right, so horribly disgusting, that sometimes the

(08:25):
after effects get lost in the shuffle and the mental
anguish that came along with it. For a lot of
these survivors, we can't emphasize it enough because it was
brutal and crushing and dream stealing. I can't even imagine
living with that burden. I have bad enough anxiety as

(08:47):
it is, never mind living with the burden that these
survivors have been carrying upon their shoulders for decades for
some of them. And now to be able to, you know,
one shoulder some of that load. To come out and
discuss what occurred and what happened to you and bring

(09:07):
your truth forward after it's been shelved for so long
must be a incredible feeling, right, So I'm glad whenever
I hear about a memoir coming out or a project
from one of these survivors where they're you know, able
to tell their story, how it happened, how they see it,

(09:29):
without any interference right there. Doesn't need to be a middleman.
So November seventeenth, mark your calendars down and make sure
you go out right now, pre order it or whatever
it is you have to do, but make sure you
show Sarah a little bit of support and you pick
up the book. If you'd like to contact me, you

What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.

(10:13):
In this episode, we have some more court documents to
get to, and this time they'reof the Epstein variety. We're
going to be looking at the notice of intent to
appoint a Master and we're also going to be taking
a look at the claims made by Virginia Roberts and
by Sarah Ransom when it comes to the estate. So

(10:33):
let's get started with our first document, which is the
Notice of Intent to appoint a Master Probate number st
Dash nineteen dash peb Dash eighty Notice of Intent to
a point Master in the matter of the Estate of
Jeffrey Epstein. Notice of Intent to appoint a Master. The

(10:54):
Court hereby gives notice of its intent to appoint Rosalie

Jeffrey E. Epstein, Superior Court Probate Number eighty two zero
one nine STT pursuant to Rule fifty three B one
of the Virgin Islands Rules of Civil Procedure, for the

(11:15):
purpose and under the conditions as follows one, due to
the size and financial complexity of the decedent's estate, the
Court is determined it would be prudent to appoint a
master to inspect and examine all financial filings, including but
not limited to, the verified inventory, the quarterly accountings, and

(11:35):
the final account. The estimated value of the decedents estate
is five hundred million dollars, with assets comprised of tangible

complexity of the decedents of state, the Court is determined
that a master is needed to address matters that the
Court may not be able to review expeditiously without the
necessity of unduly burdening the Court. Since the commencement of
the probate administration, documents ie pleading, motion, exhibit or other

(12:40):
form of written communication or a memorialization have been filed
on an almost daily basis, and the documents are often
large with exhibits and other supporting documentation. For example, the
one quarterly accounting filed to date exceeds forty pages in length. Three.
The Court is determined that Attorney Balantine is highly competent

(13:03):
as the requisite qualifications and has sample experience and probate
Administration to serve as the Master. A copy of Attorney
Balantine's resume is attached. Four. The Court is determined that
the requested compensation of four hundred dollars per hour for
the Master is reasonable and customary for this jurisdiction. Services
for any legal assistance will be billed at a rate

(13:25):
of forty five dollars per hour. In addition to legal fees,
Attorney Balantine will bill for costs and expenses incurred, including
but not limited to, long distance telephone charges, overnight delivery charges,
expert reports, photo copying, transcription services, messenger fees, electronic research, travel,

(13:47):
or any other costs and expenses. Should Attorney Balantine be
required to engage accountants or other expert services, she will
be billed at cost. Bills will be submitted monthly and
include all hours WAK Billing statements will be made within
thirty days of submission. Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that
unless objections or comments are raised by the co Executors

(14:11):
Darren k Endyke and Richard D. Con Honor before July
thirty first, twenty twenty, the Court will proceed in appointing
Rosalie Simmons Ballentine esquire as master based on the same
or substantially similar conditions to those set forth herein. And
it is ordered that a copy of this order shall
be directed to Council of Record and to Rosalie Simmons Ballantine.

(14:35):
