Speaker 1 (00:01):
As from the south coast of the Golden State. It's
(00:28):
Long Beach's most popular talk show with Alex Exom and
now your host Alex Exo.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Hello, friends, there we go auto ducking. We didn't have
auto ducking enabled. Can you tell him a little rusty?
It's been almost a month. I know, scary. How you
doing good? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Good?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Like I care. I've got my own problems. Body goodie. Friends,
I know I haven't been around. I apologize. I miss
you too. Part of it is because while I've been
taking a lot of classes, getting some new certifications and
mainly in the field of AI. I heard a great
(01:16):
quote the other day. I think I'm on the right track.
The quote was, you don't have to worry about somebody
or wait no, you already screwed it up. The quote was,
you don't have to worry about AI taking your job.
You have to worry about someone who understands AI taking
(01:39):
your job. I thought that was a good one. It's
this is this show, I almost said September, I have
not come running out of the gates. I must admit,
haven't had my coffee. I had to get this. If
I didn't get this done, I wouldn't have done a
(01:59):
show the month. It's August the thirtieth, twenty twenty four,
the year of our Lord. And we will get through
this damn show, kicking and screaming. No matter what it takes.
It's gonna be a short show because I have a
shock news report and I mentioned this jag off before.
(02:23):
Do you remember the Tesla guy, the Tesla driver here,
let me refresh your memory that was jumping out of cars,
roid raging and smashing people's cars and threatening to kill them.
Remember that one all over the freeways here Los Angeles.
You gotta hear this.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
A Tesla driver involved in several Southern cal road rage
incidents has been sentenced to five years for assault. It's
a story we followed from the very beginning, Eyewitness new
supporter Michelle Fisher live for US Now in Glendale, with
reaction from some of the victims of these attacks.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Michelle, that's right, Mark. Our viewers will remember this story.
A number of drivers, mostly females, coming forward late last
year with their experiences and with their videos. The man
responsible eventually captured, convicted, and now sentenced. We spoke with
two of his victims tonight who say yes, they're relieved,
but also disappointed.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
I feel like it's definitely still not over, especially because
five years isn't enough.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Nathaniel Walter Radimac, the Tesla driver scene here, is set
to spend five years behind bars in state prison his
road rage rampage last year, resulting in convictions on felony
accounts for criminal threats, vandalism, assault, and elder abuse. Tonight,
two of his victims, reacting to the sentence, reluctant to
show their faces on camera.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
I just feel like he's going to come out and
just still be infuriated, you know, especially now that all
of our names are out in public record for the
majority of us.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Five years, both by really fast.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
I think it's not enough because he's has prior history,
violent history.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
This victim recalling her frightening encounter with Radamac on the
one oh one Freeway last November, the dash video leading
to two of Radamac's eventual convictions.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
He went around me and completely stopped, and this was
on full freeway, and just got out of the car
and started hitting me. I felt like if I didn't
get away, he would have cracked my window.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Another victim also running into him in November at a
storage facility in Atwater Village, her camera also rolling.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
He didn't do anything in my vehicle. He just threatened
me and continuously was telling me that he was going
to break my jaw.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Amid the relief tonight, disappointment that other alleged victims mentioned
in the criminal complaint against Radamac didn't get convictions, and
other alleged victims who reached out to Eyewitness News say
their cases were never even submitted to the DA.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
We feel like justice has been served, although we also
feel that a lot of the victims haven't been heard.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Over the months, A number of victims have stayed in
contact through a group chat. They say it has offered
support and important case updates.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
I feel like we definitely we're able to vent, you know,
and really understand each other throughout this whole process. I
feel like alone, we wouldn't have been able to capture hammerh.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
And other frustrations those victims shared with me tonight were
that they felt they were not kept in the loop
and updated about this case, only finding out that Radamac
was going to prison after eyland This News reached out
to them with that update tonight. He does remain in
custody in the Men's Central jail. We're reporting live in Glendale.
I'm Michelle Fisher, ABC seven.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Or he was in jail. So this goon ratomac was
running around and if you look at the videos that
you saw during that newscast, you can go pull them
up on YouTube. KTLA has multiple videos on this story
showing this guy jumping out. You know it's from dash
cam obviously, jump in cell phone video jumping out multiple times.
(05:54):
I mean there's probably like four or five videos they
looped of him jumping out with a crowbar, smashing in
their headlight, smashing in their hoods, trying to smash in
their driver's side window. Cars have to speed off. One
car actually hit him, almost put him up on the hood,
but they were actually a little more gingerly than I
would have. I would have just I would have barreled
(06:14):
through that dude. If he's about to smash my windshield
in with the crowbar, that could not only kill you
with the crowbar if he hits you with it, but
also the glass it can fly in your face. Just
figure you major bodily injury, get in your eyes that
you name it. So this guy was a menace and
they're violent videos. You know, you hear about road rage.
(06:34):
You go, oh, I don't know, five years seems stiff. No,
you gotta watch videos. There's one in the parking or
the storage parking lot that they mentioned where he's actually
out of the car with another guy and they're throwing fists.
He's hitting this guy. So there's also and he was
doing it mainly to women. You hear you heard there.
Now here's the major problem with California and other major
(06:56):
liberal cities. New York's having this problem with rampant crime,
but especially here. You heard the story he's in jail,
five years in prison. Oh not in California. Here's the
follow up story from I mean, you don't even believe this.
You're like this guy. First of all, they didn't catch
him forever. I remember these videos were going on for
week after week. Weeks turned into months. They didn't know
(07:17):
who this guy was. He had his license plate blacked out,
sometimes he had a mask, sometimes he didn't. But you're
thinking a guy sometimes with the mask off. So we
saw his face in a black tesla. You'd think somebody
would be able to identify this guy. The cops would
catch him. This just kept going on. They never got him.
You heard the victims here saying they didn't even know
he was arrested and they had to find out through
(07:39):
KTLA when they contacted some of the former victims. Now
you're like, okay, at least he got his comeuppings. The
guy's a lunatic. He's gonna kill somebody. By the way,
the reason I said he was roid raging because they
found I don't know if they mentioned it in this story,
but I remember others. They did a ton of steroids
in his car, and he looks like a guy who's
doing deteroids. And he's roid raging royd and road raging,
(08:03):
two deadly combinations. He's lucky, first of all, he didn't
get shot in LA. A lot of guys would have
just pulled a gun out and shot him if he
started running up smashing their cars in. But again, I
think he picked mostly women because he's a jag off.
I was gonna say something worse and knew if he
did it to a dude, he might have a totally
(08:26):
different reaction. Although there were some men, like I saw
one guy literally duking it out with him in this
parking lot because he would pull up and and here's
his modus Aperandi. You think, well, I just drive away.
I wouldn't get involved. You know, it takes two to
road rage. Oh No, people didn't even do anything. It's
not like they cut them off.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
They did.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
This guy just comes out of the blue, cuts them
off so they can't move, jumps out of the car
immediately and start swinging this thing like. You didn't have
much time to react for most of these people, especially
if you're in traffic, you have nowhere to go.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
It was the.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Videos were I remember thinking, this guy's not only roid
raging and road raging. There's something off. There's something off
with this guy. He's nuts. So anyway, five years in jail,
all right, he got his come uppings.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
Not in California, fear Tonight, after a notorious road rage
convict is released from prison after serving only a fraction
of his sentence.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
His victims spoke up today to say they have lost
their faith in the justice system. Chris Wolfe live from
the News Center with reaction to the controversial news Chris.
Speaker 8 (09:30):
Yeah, Absolutely, Micah and Cherff reports say he has a
long criminal history, spanning nearly two decades and stretching across
eight different states, but credit for time served and good
behavior means he gets out of prison early. Here in California,
victims of his violent road rage are now furious, and
(09:51):
they fear he may try to hurt them again. You
may remember the viral road rage clips a muscular young
man in T shirt and jeans exploding on the freeways
of southern California, jumping out of his car and smashing
(10:12):
others with what appears to be a pipe. The violence
caught on dashboard and cell phone cameras. Thirty six year
old Nathaniel Radomac was finally caught and convicted of criminal threats, vandalism, assault,
and elder abuse. Nicknamed the Tesla road rage driver. A
judge sentenced Radimac in October twenty twenty three to five
(10:36):
years in prison, but in a surprising turn of events,
he is now free ten months later.
Speaker 9 (10:44):
I am worried she will try to find the victims
whose names have been released. He is a menace to society,
and I strongly disagree about his early release.
Speaker 8 (10:52):
Victims spoke out during a news conference with their attorney,
Gloria Alred, they do not want to be identified today.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
To share with you my deep frustration and loss of
faith in our justice.
Speaker 8 (11:05):
System. Court record show Radamac was given credit for time
served and good behavior. Attorney Allred sees a major red
flag with his release notice.
Speaker 10 (11:16):
It says that the community to which he is being
released is unknown, So my question is, how can they
supervise his parole if they don't know where he's going
to be.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
The communication with the DA's office has been poor throughout
this process. The sentence was cut short.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Leaning and sentencing and closing jails and early parole releases
and parole boards continue to allow perpetrators to walk free
after serving just minimal time, putting a lot of innocent
people at risk and sending criminals the wrong message.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
The District Attorney's office sent us a statement quote, our
thoughts are with the survivors who endured the terrifying attacks
by mister Ratamac and are continuing to heal from his
senseless actions. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office does
not determine when an inmate will be released from custody. This,
(12:21):
as well as the notification of victims, is the responsibility
of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Attorney Gloria
Allred says this Tesla Road rage case demonstrates the need
for truth in sentencing laws live in the new scene.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Now, nobody wanted to hear from Alred. Sorry you had
to hear from that thing, which I can't stand all Red.
But folks, how is it that a guy, well only
in California gets five years and he's out in months
after violent road rage attacks mainly on women. And you
heard the report the elderly elder abuse. This guy's no
(13:02):
choir boy, and now he's back on the roads, probably
road raging in another tesla. I hope they impounded that one.
I hope they burned that one. But if you see
a guy in a black tesla with the blacked out play,
it might be this jag off because he's out on
the streets of LA. Five years he gets, but in
(13:22):
Cali they let you out in months. That's that's everything
that's wrong with this LA County, southern California and every
other major liberal city. Ohooo, shoot, folks, I wanted to say,
the Halloween Show might be a bus this year. If
you're interested in sponsoring it, contact me. I'm telling you what.
(13:44):
We're behind the eight ball. I have it. It might
not happen. This is a warning Alex at alex exim
