Speaker 1 (00:08):
A couple of things news and notes. Tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Actually, I will be out at the Hollow on Stone
Oak with the trending with Trudy show as we will
do our Monday night football. So come out and say hello, Uh,
pat me on the shoulder, give me a hug because
I'm a.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Cowboys fan, and we struggle tolla. We might do a
tortilla slap out there too as well. About that bad right, Yeah,
I did not hear about that. We don't need to.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Really, I want to hear about it available on the
iHeart podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Don't want you explain her what the slap that was?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, apparently I thought that by you would be I
am Apparently I thought b YU would beat Texas Tech
in Lubbock. You let someone on the live chat it yeah,
and then you know, it's kind of like when I
was in college. I has peer pressure pressure and so
now I got a tortilla that's gonna be slapped in
my face.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
HEAs is way too chilled. I think I think to
give into peer pressure way too chill.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
No, no, no, no, I would I would. I would.
I think I would where you're like, hey, it's completely safe,
go do it. She'd be like all right, yeah, that's
not true. You got I don't give a nude that's true.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
And speaking of I don't give a damn attitude, let's
talk a little college football scenarios. Obviously, you guys know
that my ou Sooners own Alabama.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Uh that's fact.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
A lot of Bama fans say, well, Alabama completely dominated
the game.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It don't matter. They didn't dominate on defense. The score,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
And here's the thing, I'm gonna put it out there
in this world. In two thousand, the ou Sooners won
the national title, not because of their offense, but because
of their defense.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Okay, those twenty five years ago, it doesn't matter. I
would have brought up I heard of history repeating itself. Yeah,
last year they did this. Look, we've been there much
more than you have. In Lubby, I wasn't here.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I was championship also like also, my teams.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Were likely to make it in the next championship, but
the quest the concept was pulled in the most recent
championship win five years ago.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Fine, he's the win against Bama last year.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, by the way, man, Also, we beat them in
the Sugar Bowl. We've beaten them, you know. We we
have owned Alabama, Bam. Bama has BAMA does not like
having schedule. Bama has an OU problem. And don't ever
ever put you on your homecoming schedule ever.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Thanks for the billboard.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
And by the way, there's a Karen, because last last night,
oh you players, a couple of them were sitting on
the logo taking photos.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I saw that. I did not see them.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So you know, you remember how Baker Mayfield whenever they
beat Ohiose State, he went playing the flag at the
midfield mark. So last night, and this is what Dylan's
talking about, a bunch of OU players were taking pictures
at the midfield.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
You're just taking pictures where the.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Security and I guess the game now, Karen, they said,
they said, well, no, there's their security. And they said,
you guys have to go. You guys have to go
because like, oh you y'all no offense. Y'all do have
a tendency to do.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Stuff like that. Okay, yeah, so we did. That's a tendency.
But all right, so now it's time.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
To deflate some of you Texas tech fans because Manny's
in here and everything else. We all get this started.
Let's get this college football scenario started. Okay, you guys
are ready for the first round by teams. You either
tell me you agree with this or you don't. Okay, okay,
Your first round by is obviously the number one Ohio State. Yes, yes,
all right, without it out, number two Indiana, Yeah, they've
earned it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Three, here's number three. That's gonna be controversy. Georgia because
right now they are projected to be the SEC champion.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Take that A and M. So right now Georgia's favored
over A and M. Nop.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I think Georgia would be a first round bite regardless.
I would have them in my top four. I'm prom
with that, and then number four would be the Aggies.
You would flip A and M and Georgia. So I'm assuming,
based on how you would format of you probably put
my school Tech at five, so they would.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Play the twelve seed maybe or oh okay, okay, so.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
That's your top four is that's that's four?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Right? And so let me ask you this, as a
head coach of college football, do you want a first
round by.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
You're team? Is a great cop topic yesterday.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
So as a Tech fan, I would just because my
quarterback Baron Morton is still healing from an injury and
like and so next week.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
They have a bye.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
We after that they have West Virginia, and dependent that
they are secure a spot in the Big Towld Championship,
they might sit him.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I would consider the buye helpful in terms of get
him healthy. But if you're a team that's that's like
on a roll, then you don't want to care. You
don't want to cut off momentum.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
So it depends on what team you are, Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
And so for me as a head coach, I want
to keep going at the end of the season.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I want to keep going. I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And and and I want a game at home for
college football.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Okay, So let me give you let me give you
my top four before on, hold on, I want to
go into the ones that are on campus first round hosts.
Are you doing it a full twelve? Oh yeah, I'm
going all the way. Okay, let me hear that, all right?
So on campus first round host Texas.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Tech okay, oh miss Okay, Oklahoma okay, and everybody forgot
about the Ducks Oregon they're eight. Okay, So those are
those are my four that have the first round home
games five through eight, Yeah, five through eight.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Now there remaining nine through twelve, nine through.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Twelve, because remember you got the conference champions the right
you gotta get at large in there.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
And of course everybody hates this team, go Irish, Rudy,
Notre Dame.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Now they're going to have to travel right, Notre Dame
would be in there.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Alabama as ten, as ten, okay, number eleven, the U Miami, Miami,
because of the ACC how weak it is, They're going
to be the champions no matter what I feel, I
think that's gonna happen. I would watch out for Georgia Tech,
I would too, but I think Miami could come around
and just win this one.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Now my number twelve, you ready for this one? So
this is the group? This is the group. This is
the Yeah, okay, who is it too? Lane? Ooh you're
putting too late? Yep, okay, green Way, okay, East.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I want to know you first, like first off, like
his his one through twelve, do you have any like
tifts about that?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Would you flip flip off somebody else in there? I
really think I don't have any critiques for that. I
kind of agree it's kind of solid.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
It's not bad yet, but I would I would make
three changes, okay, just because of how yesterday ended and
how we we have to also look at the overall scope.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Correct, Okay, so I actually agree with you.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
One through eight I might argue like, hey, this team
should be ahead of this team, but the one through
eight I wouldn't argue with right. Nine through twelve, I
think is where is where it always is. It's where
thinks are gonna come in to controversy.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
First four, last four out, number nine, I agree as
Notre Dame.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Notre Dame now has a second quality one with Pitt
because Pitt was number twenty two yesterday. Probably gonna fall out,
but you also count the USC win. They're gonna make it. Okay,
it's just gonna happen. We gotta get over that number ten.
I think they're gonna put b YU.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Back in there. I think as my first ones out.
Here's why.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Here's why, because because their one loss on the season
is to your number five team, Texas.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Tech, and you picked number five.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Oh yeah, yeah, Bama now has two losses on the
season compared to one loss b YU. And BAMA also
has a worst loss with Florida State.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, that's terrible. I would be b y U at
ten uh huh eleven, So Georgia Tek.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Is ahead right now. But I agree, I think Miami
is the better team. At Georgia Tech and Miami played tomorrow,
I would pick Miami. So I have no problem with that.
But my group of five teams that I have making
it and it's I think it's gonna.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Come down to like a bunch of stuff. I think
it's gonna be Navy. Wow. I think nay Navy.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
One yes against us SEF, which is also a top
twenty five win. Navy might have been ranked on tomorrow.
I think Navy just because they do a great job
of like not only they've they figured out how to
throw the ball too, right. I think people see Navy
play it. They can throw the ball now too. They
can run the ball really well. I think Navy is
not gonna lose. I think Navy's gonna probably make it
to the American Championship.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I think Navy's gonna be the group team that makes
it in.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
And this is the first time and I think, like,
however many decades a military school has has competed for
a championship.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, and so before we go to break the way
that this would battle out right, yeah, the way the
rankings that have got them all set up. Tech would
play Tu Lane okay, okay, Oregon would play Notre Dame.
Oh I love that, and so Oregon Notre Dame's on
the road against Oregon.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Miami would play Old Miss. That's it. That'd be a
close one, and we would.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Have ding ding ding Round two Alabama Oklahoma, this time
in Norman, and that would be yours.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, and then the winner of yours would go fight
Texas A.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
And m I love that, okay, So now that would
be would be a house to by because my dad's.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Die hard, Aggie.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
And then you have Notre Dame Oregon winner facing Ohio State.
You would have Miami Old Ole Miss Winter facing Georgia. Oklahoma.
Alabama would be facing Indiana. Now, remember what happened in
the quarterfinals last year. Every team that had a first
round by lost. Think about it that way, right, So

(08:43):
because you're coming in now, you're coming in cold, right,
You're you're coming in cold.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
But all that fight ends is to make to make
the first round by. You got a city stop. Yeah,
then you gotta sick. You can't stop the.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Momentum, right, And it's hard to keep everybody going, you know,
every every day, and you know, so it'll be interesting.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Producer Lisa among Dylan's top twelve and my top twelve,
because we're not doing the top twelve rankings, right, we're
doing twelve. Like how the playoff format? Which one do
you like better from the ones you heard? I still
got to go with Dylan's rankings here. I'm so sorry
y'all don't like that I put Navy in their navies.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I mean I like it. I like Navy because you
don't like that that's a Bama out.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
No, I think they're gonna punish Bama, right, But you know,
the college football gods would tell you, oh, it's hard
to take Bama out of here, because we take Bama
out of here, there's too many Crimson Tide folks that
are yelling and screams.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Who cares that they yells come out of time. They're
spoiled rich kids.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
But you know, as we go to break the joy
of not having to include Texas in any of this
is awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
It's also but.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
You know what, I think Texas is literally going to
blow up the college football playoffs.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
You know why, because they're gonna beat A and them.
They're gonna beat them.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I just have that gut feeling, you know what I mean,
because that's their play off game now chaos. If you're
if you're Texas man, we're going to ruin you, little brother,
or whatever they say about Texas at you imagine.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
That and you're playing at d k R. Yeah in Austin.
Yeah when they played they played at cayle Field last year.
That didn't matter, it does it?

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I'm telling you the reality is like A and M
in Texas two hours apart, like fans will travel for them.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
For me, the Aggies look and they see burnt orange
and they go Hi.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
That's what I feel. I think, and I think A look,
Texas has a good defense. I think A and M's
gonna beat Texas. I am not putting a tortilla on that.
I don't have any confidence in Texas. You can't trust
them because one week that one week they're beating a
team like Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
The next week they're losing to Florida. Yeah. I don't know.
I can't trust Sexas. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
But uh, coming up next, I want to get into
some Spurs talk because no, no, we got my Sounds
of Saturday. Oh wait, yeah, let's do Sounds of Saturday.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Which, don't get me wrong.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Because I have no idea what the sounds are, but
we're gonna do them.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
That's all. Next on the Fanatics and Tigert seven sixty
