Shane as we argue the Cowboys and I try to
understand the line right now, I don't get it.

we've got a tougher schedule. I get that, but I
would also tell you that SEC teams have that choice

at the beginning of the season whether they want to
play Chattanooga or Sanford or anything else like that. But
you do still in this league have to pad your
resume because when you go through the gauntlet of the SEC,
Big Ten, Big twelve, any one of those, you need
that game, right am Obama needed their game yesterday against
it Tech. You know, they needed to get that win.
They needed to be relevant again because they're in the

college football playoff talk right And that's where it's like
you start hearing these coaches now because you've got the
Big ten schools, you've got the SEC schools that are like, hey,
we're still relevant. Texas is still going to put up
their resume too. Texas is going to say, hey, why
not us Texas is their national championship game this Friday
against A and M.

Can come out and beat A and M, there's a
discussion how do you keep them out.

standings are still Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon. Oregon can't
play in the Big Ten championship at that game. But
that's okay because they essentially get a first round by
they're gonna get into the playoffs.

It's gonna come down to North Texas at ten and one,
to Lane at nine and two, and the Navy eight
and two. That's the American. They're all tied at six
and one, so two of them are gonna get in.
Something's got to give and the ACC. Now this one
is even tighter. So Miami right now, Miami right now
is actually fifth with one game left to go. So
right at the top is Virginia, Pit SMU, Georgia, Tech, Miami,

and they're all separated by a game. All these teams
that ninety two or eight and three records, and it's
all separated by a game that's gonna come down to
the finish.

Obviously, the Big twelve. The only teams that are alive
for that one.

Are Tech BYU Utah and Arizona State and those and
those are like at worst eight and three up to
ten and one. The Big ten, as you know, it's

of Ole House State because of a tie breaker. And
then but obviously that's semantics at this point. And then
the and the SEC. The SEC is very very tight
right now. So just the teams that are in contention

still live somehow for the for the SEC Championship game,
A and M Georgia, Ole, Miss, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt
and uh.

we've got a tougher schedule. I get that, but I
would also tell you that SEC teams have that choice

at the beginning of the season whether they want to
play Chattanooga or Sanford or anything else like that. But
you do still in this league have to pad your
resume because when you go through the gauntlet of the SEC,
Big Ten, Big twelve, any one of those, you need
that game, right am Obama needed their game yesterday against
it Tech. You know, they needed to get that win.
They needed to be relevant again because they're in the

college football playoff talk right And that's where it's like
you start hearing these coaches now because you've got the
Big ten schools, you've got the SEC schools that are like, hey,
we're still relevant. Texas is still going to put up
their resume too. Texas is going to say, hey, why
not us Texas is their national championship game this Friday
against A and M.

Because if Texas.

Can come out and beat A and M, there's a
discussion how do you keep them out.

Of the playoffs. But then people say, well, they got
three losses. Ha ha, that's what I'm gonna tell you,

And that Kentucky game, in the West Virginia game and
the UTEH game.

Florida State won the a SEC title game and they
kept them out of the playoff. Don't tell me a
win's a win win because because they will consider what
wins have heavier weight than others.

But my thing is, though, if Texas beats Texas, A
and M keep this track, Texas will be fighting for
a college football playoff because they can.

You know who is right now in the best position
of any team in the playoff race.

obviously have had this growing ribbery over the last like
five ten years, So that's not gonna be easy game.
But the realities is is that let's say Oregon wins,
Indiana wins, Ohio State wins, and so the Big Ten

standings are still Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon. Oregon can't
play in the Big Ten championship at that game. But
that's okay because they essentially get a first round by
they're gonna get into the playoffs.

They don't have to do anything. I know, you know,

Look, we can all complain about it's like you see,
it's like Karen in a target line asking if they
could speak to the manager. That's what I felt the

like all the all the leagues that you consider likely

Obviously the SEC, the Big ten, Big twelve, a SEC,
and then probably a team from the American. Oh yeah,
is gonna get that one. Okay, so check so check
out the standings right now. I'm gonna give you like
the top three teams in each one and like how close.

It is the final spot. Okay, So we'll start the American.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
It's gonna come down to North Texas at ten and one,
to Lane at nine and two, and the Navy eight
and two. That's the American. They're all tied at six
and one, so two of them are gonna get in.
Something's got to give and the ACC. Now this one
is even tighter. So Miami right now, Miami right now
is actually fifth with one game left to go. So
right at the top is Virginia, Pit SMU, Georgia, Tech, Miami,

and they're all separated by a game. All these teams
that ninety two or eight and three records, and it's
all separated by a game that's gonna come down to
the finish.

Obviously, the Big twelve. The only teams that are alive
for that one.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Are Tech BYU Utah and Arizona State and those and
those are like at worst eight and three up to
ten and one. The Big ten, as you know, it's
really just Oregon, Ohusetate in Indiana. Indiana is actually ahead
of Ole House State because of a tie breaker. And
then but obviously that's semantics at this point. And then
the and the SEC. The SEC is very very tight
right now. So just the teams that are in contention

still live somehow for the for the SEC Championship game,
A and M Georgia, Ole, Miss, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt
and uh.

No, Tennessee's out. Yeah, Tennessee's out.

Okay, So like those teams make up a one game separation.
If A and M were too if let's say hypothetically
A and M wins, they're in No matter what, the
chaos comes down to Georgia.

A lot of them are done playing SEC ball, they
play like I think Georgia plays Georgia Tech.
