Speaker 1 (00:04):
You want another fun public service. Everybody listening right now,
everybody listening right now, I'm gonna put.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
You on a challenge.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
When you check out of a grocery store, check out
of a convenience store, check out of a restaurant, and
you have the opportunity to donate to any specific charity
in the city of San Antonio or anywhere where you live,
I'm going to ask.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
You to do that. I do that, do you'll do
a round up? Or y'all pay it like a roundup?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Now I didn't do one yesterday, but that was my
fault because it was confusing on the screen.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Right yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I challenge everybody to round up sometimes. If you have
a bill that's four dollars and seventy seven cents, just
round it up to five dollars because, first of all,
for those of you who aren't good at numbers like me,
it helps you balance your bank account at HB.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Round up. I challenge everybody to do that for the
next thirty I.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Will only not round up if it's like, you know,
a twenty, like a fifteen cent donation, like I'll give
a I'll give a dollar at that point.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Now, if you do this, I want you to put
it on social media too, and I want you to
tag us.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
This just came to my head.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Yeah, you know, I want everybody around up because we've
got to there's so much stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I'm not gonna run in your parade. I'm gonna let
that slide. Then you gonna let us Slide'm let it slide.
You let us slide. Yeah, I'd like it goo.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yeah, I'm just saying those donations sometimes you got to
look into the organization, like.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
The look into what you want to support.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Well, beyond that, what you got to realize is that
most of time what you're donating to they don't get
what you're donating. What happens is the company. There's a
company that's taking those donations on their behalf, and then
what they're doing is they're collecting all that money and
then they're writing a check themselves for the amounts given
and then donating to that group. So it's a text
right off. So one group makes money off of your donation. True,

(01:51):
So it's it's it's a whole.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
There's some stuff like I did it this morning with
the whole my coffee. That's that.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah, I mean, I'm big donate don't you. I'm not
saying that's to donate, but I'm just saying looking to or.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
If you want, go to the place that you want
to donate too.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Yes, sometimes direct donations are better than the round rounds.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
That's really you know.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I say that because I mean it. The world and
what's going on everything, just just help. That's what we
have to do, is human beings, speaking of human beings,
speaking of helping.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
We're here to help the Spurs. We're here to cheer
for the Spurs.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Right, Yeah, I'm excited just as the I know the
season doesn't start till October, and that's when I become
very busy, very busy. I had no idea realizing how
like how little I'm here at the station.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Right now, and then how how much I'll be at
the station.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Can we talk about though, like how it felt like
in time Maybe you're wrong, it felt like Dylan like
just at that point kind of like it became super
automatic for him as it went along or not, you don't, sorry, Ty,
it became super automatic for Dylan as you became the host.
Because I remember first you talking about You're like, oh,
I don't know how to time this out and stuff
like that.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Oh yeah, no, it's it became pretty if.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
It came pretty easy towards the end, like mid season.
Yeah you just a rookie, Yeah you can you get
into a groove. And I was like Steph Castle, I
was just a rising star. Yeah, you just gotta figure
it out. Yeah, I just gotta figure it out. Yeah
it was.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It was a lot of time here, it was.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
And so like with the Spurs and and everything else,
and of course having the draft pick right number two,
we got number two and number fourteen, and I believe
thirty nine.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Thirty thirty eight, yeah, thirty eight, I think right.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I've done a lot of thinking, gentlemen, because we've had
a lot of time off. And you know last week
when I was out of beach with my feet up,
I wasn't out of beach. I was just at home.
I was thinking about it. I don't want the Spurs
to trade anybody or anything. I just want him to
draft I. So the infamous Paul George, Right, did y'all
hear what he said this week in the podcast? Since

(03:52):
he knows everything right, it's obviously the Paul George Finals
as well. We got a little bit into that later,
but think about it at home. So Paul George says
that Jannis is not going anywhere I want you to.
I'm gonna ask this question to you, guys. Do you
believe Jannis built Milwaukee?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yes, sir, no, technically the Norwegians built Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I can follow up well.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
So the reality is is that in typing on mind,
I the Milwaukee had already had somewhat of a story
franchise because of Luell Cinder because at the time he
was Luell Cinder right, so like and and and that
was the first.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That's a fact checkpoint for Shane. I appreciate that. Go ahead,
keep going.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
What what what Yannis did was he reinvigorated the fan base,
the fan base that had gone through guys like Brandon
Jennings and names like that to where they thought that
they were they would make the playoffs, but they never
had like a guy that was that would take them
over the edge. And and while I think that I
don't know is not the reason that Milwaukee is I

(04:59):
guess called on the NBA map. Overall, he's the catalyst
for why they've become one of the elite franchise of
the elite franchises in the East.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I'm saying, I'm saying the way that the team build it.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
He's the face of it, the team building around it
was was how they was, how it established.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
He's the sole reason why people have Milwaukee Bucks jerseys
since Kareem Abdul Jabbar. If we're gonna be honest about it,
there's a lot of guy, great guys in between Michael Red.
Like I mean, when you talk about a guy that
most people don't even understand, how good Michael How great
of a corner three shooter Michael Red was. He was
in the conversation of Ray Allen as far as a
corner three point shooter Rishard Lewis during his time there was,

(05:38):
it was a dog. I mean, there have been a
lot of great guys that have come in and out
of that organization. But to say Giannis is not the
reason for Milwaukee's relevance right now is absolutely I.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Didn't say when the reason I didn't say that, I
said he's the reason for the reinvigoration.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
He is the face of the franchise.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yeah, the face of the franchise, the reason why they
won the championship.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
He's having too much fun with that. Buzzer.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
No, it's I'm just go with it because you guys
are just getting me ready.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, he's the reason why they won a championship.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I mean, prove us wrong, the reason why they won
a championship. But you were saying that the reason why
the face of Milwaukee he built Milwaukee, because he brought
the championship there.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Finally, I would I mean.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yeah, that's that's a big piece of it. Okay, the
Cavaliers had successful for Lebron, but like, would you say
Lebron built Cleveland?

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Okay, no, interesting, there are Browns Town before there are
Cleveland Town. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
But I think with the Calves, I mean obviously certain players,
because I want to take this, this topic, this conversation
right and ask you guys, because I think as far
as the Spurs, because oh, here goes Dylan with his
squirrel stuff. He says he gonna talk about Spurs, I'm
gonna round it back to Spurs, right, because you're honest.
I believe he needed to say Milwaukee. I don't believe

(06:51):
the Spurs need to touch this. As much as it
would be fun and exciting, I think Giannis would have
a tough time here in San Antonio. Because he would
have to be number two, and I don't think he
wants to be number two. I think he wants to
continue to be number one. And obviously, I think if
you're a sports agent, you're telling them, hey, you got
your championship. You know, enjoy being the foundation here in
Milwaukee and retire and go have fun. Now, who built

(07:15):
San Antonio?

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Shane? Right, Papovitch? Okay, that's okay, Shane, that's Shane's answer. Sorry, Ty,
I don't have enough historical evidence.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
There's enough arguments to say that it's Popovich, the admiral,
the admiral, that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Iceman, Iceman. But what did Iceman do with the Spurs? Nothing?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
But I would tell you the true I mean, the
Spurs were the Spurs. And if you ask the old
old guys, you know, like Chris doul and everything else,
they watched them at a Hemisphere. They would take the
busses and they would do all that. And I watched
them there too. I would tell you that it was
David Robinson who built and put San Antonio on the map.
Because David Robinson, now he didn't go to the playoffs

(08:01):
every year, right, but he was establishment.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
He was the admiral.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Everybody knew San Antonio was going to be relevant, and
during the times before Tim Duncan, san Antonio was relevant.
Now they always came up short against like the Houston
Rockets or in the conference finals. They could never get
over the hump, right, And what helped them get over
the hump was this guy. You know, you might know
him number twenty one, Tim Duncan.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
But to say, like, you know, if David Robinson were
to ever leave, I don't think there was ever any
rumors throughout his career in San Antonio.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
That he was leaving.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Okay, I grew up knowing that David Robinson was a Spur.
I grew up also knowing that Tim Duncan had the
opportunity to be Orlando Magic at one point, right, And
they told him that his family can't fly on the planes,
and that's what kept him here. There was times that
Manu Genobli was going to be a Denver nugget, you know,
explore free agency. Tony Parker actually ended up being a

(08:57):
Charlotte Hornet.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Greg Popovich solid foundation mm hmm. My second argument to
this is that Greg Popovich is the one that built
San Antonio because when he took over the job, everybody
was like, who's this guy?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
You know?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
And as of today we all say he's el hefe
mm hmm. He he is a solid foundation piece of
the Spurs. But I would think I would say, the
person that built it is David Robinson.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Okay, you know so, but then he built in Milwaukee.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I just mwell, sender, I don't even know who that
guy is.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
I'm be honest.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
It's corring out to Jabbar, but you gotta be respectful.
At the time in which he played that's his birth name.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
His birth name, Okay, that's name. So t is just
on one today. I love it. No, those the honest question.
I did not know that was his first name. No.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Yeah, the only person I knew who went through in
the name change was Muhammad Ali with cashus car.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Tell you in Milwaukee who built Milwaukee? Terry Cummings. I'm
just kidding. Terry Cummings sounds like an author former.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
San Antonio Spur, but he was a Milwaukee book number
thirty four in the program.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
No, sounds sounds like a terrible segment. It aged me
with you guys, I can tell you that much.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
But no, honestly, skibbity with the Spur, skiddy with the
skibbity with the Spurs.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
It's stick to the path.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
And I mean, we'll get into a little bit on
the other side of the spray, but I want them
to stick to the path. I want you guys to
think about what they need, because again I'm going to
let you use your podium as I become thirteen and
try to pitch it to break here. But I want
you to use your podium and reach out to the
Spurs gms out there and this trade simulators and tell

(10:44):
us what the Spurs needs. That's all next on the
