ninth or tenth season or whatever. The dude's not going
to be able to go consistently for eighty two games
going forty five minutes. That's not what Mitch Johnson wants
to do.

I'm not saying we don't add another guard, but I'm
saying at the spot in two when you look at
filling the roster out, you can go add guards. And
you got some guys overseas that could be coming over
still that that are you kill back pockets.

But you can get somebody at fourteen. It's not like
you're gonna waste to pick I get it. It's a
coin flip with ace and doing trust.

It's whatever they want to do that night when they
flip the coin up in the air and who they pick.
But the good thing for the Spurs that nobody else
in the NBA has this draft is we get to go,
oh yeah, fourteen, we got picked fourteen as well.

Pick fourteen.

Honestly, there's a decent amount of like bigs that you
can find in that area.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
So like I would China, I wouldn't even go big
at fourteen. I would trade back.

If you're gonna go big, well, I was gonna say
I can go round two for big as well.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Ty your guy Danny wolf find in Michigan. I think
it's probably the third best big in this draft. But
he would be fine off the bench for Wemby and
help let Wemby play a little more than.

The four because right now Barnes is our four.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Yeah exactly, we had that stretch set up, but we
need somebody to come off so Wenby can play more
on the outside.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yes, and I think for the type of big you need,
you don't have to do that fourteen. You can do
that in round two, and you could do that in
free agency.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Can't do that round too.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You're getting a guy who's gonna play you eight minutes
a night in the first.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
No, for the role that they need you want, you
want a guy that has height, that can rebound.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Well, that's why I have the ball out.

That's why you want came on mile to Washing Duke
or my guy Derek Queen from Maryland, who I gives
you because you got more offensive versus If you want
some moves, more defensive guy, you go Malawatch.

You already get rid of offensive center. You had Zach
Collins and that that didn't work out, right.

seven footers who can defend and.

you have guys like Clint Capella, who's gonna be a
free agent, right you can fill You can fulfill that
need in free agency.

I've been big on Steven Adams. You need enforcer, you know.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I I think Steven Adams would be my prefer exactly.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
So I wouldn't go reaching for a center for the
sake of doing that. When you have these options there
because Clint Compella could not gonna get paid, so he's
just looking for a fit.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
He might get like ten million, which the Spurs can afford, right, Yeah, right,
he's not. Neither of those guys are garnering money that
the Spurs cannot.
Speaker 1 (11:14):

Yeah, exact how many bullets are in the chamber for
the San Antonio Spurs.

It's exciting a decent amount, okay.

Yeah, And the options are there, you know, and it's
debatable what. I don't want to see anymore of these
little NBA two K trade draft machines of virtual reality
because that ain't going to happen, you know, trust the
process and everything else like that. But again, the reason
why I want to bring it up is because with
Midge Johnson's rotation, that's the different story that you have
to see going into this next season. You know, it's

going to be a running gun offense. It's going to
be a running gun defense because look, if you're going
to make the finals, yeah, you got to look like
the Pacers and you got to play like the Thunder.

I agree, So I will add this. I would be
more okay with Dylan Harper if we were at fourteen
to package maybe a bitch guy at fourteen, because I
think Canoople's gone by fourteen, right, but right, there's so
many trades on draft Day. I think if Canoople's gone
by eight or nine, you convinced that team at fourt
you know, from fourteen with a bench player to trade

for Canople. If you come out with Harper and Canople,
I'm very happy.

Win. That's a win, you know what I'm saying, because
that feels both needs.
Speaker 5 (12:22):
You get your death at guard and you get a shooter,
which is the biggest need for San Antonio is a
consistent spot up shooter.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
And Kanka Noople plays a similar style to Devin Vessel,
who's already the three, So they gives you a backup
at the three who does essentially the same thing.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
Yes, and he already kind of fits the Spurs mold
Spurs way. So I I would be off of Ace
Bailey if you were able to pull that off.
