Speaker 1 (00:03):
Whatever you're going to be doing, have fun with it.
I'm actually gonna go see Mission Impossible six Doom Doom Doom.
Is Tom Cruise really five seven or five five?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
He's five two?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
No, apparently he's listed as five foot seven.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Okay, you know now in the combine, like they'll say
a player six one, they're really five eleven.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
If he's five foot seven, I'm six foot to Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
If you're five nine, you're like five six.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (00:29):
I The one thing about famous people is they're all
short for the most part. So no, no, I think
it's I think it's from experience.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
I worked in television in Atlanta before you know, when
I first came out of college. They are all short.
So like when you look at like, people don't think
Michael be Jordan's short, Michael be Jordan's short.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Short, he's like five eight, five nine.
Speaker 5 (00:52):
Really he doesn't look it because Red cart right, Kanye
West five eight, I don't speak about him. Yeah, I
mean I I respect that. But like when you think
about those guys that where they all look average height
and you think, oh, they're all like five eleven, six
foot No, like the standard like on screen males like
five eight five nine, and like when you get into
(01:13):
the six foot guys that they look like they're towers.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
So Chris Hemsworth isn't really six three six four. I
would say he's probably. That's probably he looks, yeah, and
that's why he could.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Play the the big guys and whatnot.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
But that's why they look so much larger than the
rest of them, because the rest ofant like five eight
five minutes.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
And the TV camera does that ten pounds folks.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Does that make Brenda Carpenter and Night isn't really five
foot she looks like she looks that side her and
Quinn the Brunson you've seen them sound like.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
I don't don't think.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Women lie as much as men that are shorter than
five foot that, yeah, because Kevin Kevin Hart's like five
to one and he don't lie about it, though he
makes jokes he lied about it.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
He says five four, though he says he says five four,
but he's five to one.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Him and my sister is taller than him.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Guy, Well, okay, so again, people lie, I'm six foot five.
If I were standing up, I'm six foot five. I
could we so fun. Fact boys, we got a couple
of minutes left in the show. And I want to
share this because circle back to me being a single dad. Right,
I'm in this world and life happens, and I ended
up being a single dad. I co parent great. I
(02:19):
have nothing to say against my ex. In fact, I
wish her nothing, but you know the best every day,
we still support each other, we still talk to each other.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
We're there, right.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
There are times and I have my kids two weeks on,
two weeks off. Okay, so when I don't have my
kids in those two weeks, I still get a chance
to see them. I still get an opportunity. But there
are times that you know, you go home to a
house it's empty, You go home to a house that
it only has dogs that don't really talk to you.
I have great conversations with La La Lafloor, who are
my two dogs? And I also have a great conversation
(02:48):
with my cat louis Ai all names. Yeah, now my girls.
About a year ago they said, hey, Dad, you should
do TikTok and I was like, nah, you know, people
would send me tiktoks and I didn't have a red
your name, but I do now. Right at d Emery eighty,
write this down. Sorry, my throat, it's allergies. It's great.
I have a question because I never asked you. I
(03:09):
never asked you about about that stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
So I'm assuming that means your ex lives in San
Antonio like you do, so they can.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Go to school. Absolutely, you're the same school. We live
within five miles of each other. It's just what we do.
We co parent when this happens. People, I ask you
to always communicate to your ex if I were to
preach you anything, that's what you need to do. Get
over your personal issues that you have. You have children together,
do what's right.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
That's good about who's getting married in November. I'm looking
out for you.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
I'm looking out for you.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
My young lives separate before you.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Anyway, fairly paid atention.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
No, I'm listening. I'm just listening. I'm reading sports articles.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, we're talking about TikTok, not sports.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
It's a sports show.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Wow, TikTok segment.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Oh no, Wed, yeah, we do on this one.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I don't know what happened there, but no, what I
want to tell you is that I did TikTok right,
and I'm doing tiktoks, and I do tiktoks with my
You guys see my videos on Instagram and Facebook. I'm
not going to say that I edit these. I use capcut.
It's everything that I do, right, You guys know that
my daughters are number one. You guys know that my
daughters are number one, no matter what, even if I
were to get into a relationship, they're number one. And
(04:25):
if you have a problem with that, see you later.
There's a door. I have no problems with that right now.
I did this thing called hashtag dads supporting Dad's hashtag
dude supporting dudes. Now, my daughter told me about it.
She's like, hey, Dad, you should do something like this.
And so I use this audio. So last week, at
this time last week, I had two hundred followers on TikTok,
(04:47):
and so I did this video. It's a seventeen second
video or eleven second video, and it's like, hey, if
you support me, I'll support you.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
I'm thinking, okay, I'll get a little bit of a bump.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Want to guess how many followers I have as of
I just checked two minutes ago.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Go ahead and guess two hundred. Okay, you said two hundred.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Well you already showed me. So I that's.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Sixty one hundred followers now. And I can tell you
this as I got a minute left in the show.
I'm very humbled about this because mental health matters. Okay,
I will preach this every day of my life. I
know we sit here for sports. You guys know why
I do sports. It's my mental escape, right. A lot
(05:30):
of people say, oh, he does sports, he must absorb
and absorb sports all the time. No, I do it
because it's a mental escape of the reality in my
head of being alone. I've made decisions in my life
that has made my decisions be this way. I look
for support. You can ask Tai, you can ask Shame,
you can ask the people at this station. I look
(05:52):
for support. Men should be able to look for support.
This is a huge thing on TikTok right now. There
are people that have followers of thirty that now have
ten thousand, right, And I want this trend to continue
because I think it matters most to men because we're
told not to speak out, We're told to keep our
feelings by ourselves.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
I'm not even gonna lie to you, boys.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
There's times that I just watch a commercial and.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
I cry, is it a Sarah maclachlin dog commercial.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
No, but seriously, give a dollar a day and see
what finds out there.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
I agree because my wife is a therapist, so I've
been preaching the mental health for a long time as well.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I'm right there with you.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
You have to because if you don't, people tend to
lose their lives. And I hate to be so deep
on a Sunday, but you should support each other and
you should continue this. Don't do what I did in marriage. Ty,
there's one married you appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Thanks for shot.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yeah, you want to support because if you don't, we
could run out of time. But dad's supporting dads, Dudes
supporting dudes.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
We're off for two weeks because I'm off of the
lower forty eight. Over the next two weeks, Ty and
Shane will be in there giving you some QT, some
quick trips, quick trips, some quick takes throughout those This
