Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome into it.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Second hour underway right here on ticket seven sixty. I
am your host, Dylan Emery alongside with Shane Carter as
we get you into your Sunday fun day. Shane had
to take a bag of ice and dump it over
his head and cool down after that last segment about
the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
But you'll be.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
All right, cowboy Fanl'll be okay.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
But a couple other things news and notes Again today,
I want you guys to check out the San Antonio,
Texas Card Show. It's from ten am, which it launched
an hour ago, ten am to five pm. A day
pass will only cost you a whopping ten dollars, not TJ.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Watt money.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Fourteen hundred shirts, Parkway shirts, Civic Center Building number five.
But when you go go see my friends at River
City Cards. Now there's over one hundred venders there. But again,
go see my friends at River City Cards and tell
them Dylan Sanya and you might get some sort of
well a good look at some pretty good cards that
they have.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
So I should specified that I'm not mad at the call.
During the break she did and she was like, are
you good? She texted me, No, she texted me it's
just I love the Cowboys as a team.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
I do.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I just the front office strategy crazy, and I feel
like it's my responsibility as the only same person sometimes
to educate the fans because the players are not selfish,
the ownership and the front office is bad at with
the door.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, but let's not college football. How about that?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
We because it's like less than what forty days?

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I know, I'm excited, so excited. I know, I have
no idea how much excitement Now. Andy and Mike argue
about this on Monay through Friday? Is Week zero really
called start college football?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
I consider it?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I consider it right, Yes, Itege just plays Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
If you're someone who's who is Mike arguing that?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Because Texas never plays Week zero? Oh my god? Is
he a long one fanh Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Okay, long worn fans?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Speaking of the long warn fans, we have the preseason
rankings the SEC.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Shane's like the producer of the show. By the way,
I love it. He's getting so good at it. He
knows how to put me back on track. You ever
been on shows where it's just like a squirrel off
the rails? Yeah, pretty much. I'll look I look him
on every Sun you say the seventh where you say
the eighth behind a name. I'm just kidding, wink. So
the preseason media poll YEP for the SEC, because we
did have the SEC Media Days. And shout out to

(02:18):
whoever did the audio for Sark when he came out.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Oh yeah, they played the fight song. Oh my god,
I love it.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
That's gonna live in social media.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Low, that's gonna be an omen. That's gonna be omen
of some kind forever.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's forever etched in stone. So there's sixteen teams in
the SEC. Yes, okay, So we have some pre season poles.
Number sixteen the Mississippi State Bulldogs. I'm not arguing that,
not arguing that. Fifteen, the Kentucky Wildcats, yep. Fourteen the
Arkansas Razorbacks.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I like Tail and Green and their quarterback. But like
they did just so, I don't know, you know, what
to make of their team right now. They lost a
lot of good players in the NFL. Thirteen the Vanderbilt Commodorees.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, I still think agree with that. I'm fine with that.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
I mean, I said, diego Popia, Like, I feel like
this team is probably could make a Bowl game again.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
That was a big step. They all could. It's the SEC. Well, no,
they argue, they won't. They all won't.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
They all Kentucky, Kentucky won't, Missippi State never know. All
you got to do is get six wins, and I
don't think Arkansas will. We lost a lot of players too, now,
thirteen of them I think could number twelve of the
Missouri Tigers, yeah, okay, number eleven surprises me.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Here the Auburn Tigers. Okay, number ten, my beloved, I
think that's Sooners. I think that's I think that's because
Auburn is really high on the Jackson bring.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
You used to be so good. Can we go back
to the Big twelve if you want to? But Texas Tech.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
And Oklahoma State have ruined the Big twelve?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Why because we're.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Because the state walk in and win the Big twelve?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, I said it with Oklahoma.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Like to of y'all's biggest offseason acquisitions, John Mittier, the
quarterback from Washington State.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Don't get the running back from can give away your secret?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Adding the moist, I'm predicting an the quarterback will be
moist for Ou.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I'm predicted eight and four going to the ballgame for
y'all eight and four going to But that's okay, that's
maybe an honest for y'all.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Number ninety Tennessee volunteers.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I feel like that's low.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I feel like that's too high, because especially after the
Nico Iam Maleva of Saga, I feel like they should
be down a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, I'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I mean it will be good.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Look, man, he's a quarterback himself. Okay, he won a
national championship with my beloved Oklahoma suitters. He knows what
to do, he knows a position. And when you have
a quarterbacks coach, Miakan Garrett was a quarterback too. He
is third string. Okay, he still started again. He's doing
really well on the NBC Tonight Show, the Sunday Show anyway.
The number eight, the Texas A and m Aggie's okay,

(04:44):
that's a long drop from last year.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
I mean I like Marcel Reid at quarterback. The news
are the alb and Moss who got into some trouble.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yeah I did. But you know it's funny.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's because my daughter, my oldest one, is a is
going to be a senior as I'm doing like the
Trump arms here.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
She's gonna be a senior this year and in one.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Of the schools on her radar is the Texas A
and m Aggie it's a good school. Yeah, I don't
know if I'm gonna wear a shirt. I'm just saying, Avery,
if you're listening, I'm not gonna do it. I'm just
letting you know.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
My dad's Anaggie fan.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
So number seventy Ole miss Rebels, which i'd put him there.
Number six the Florida Gators.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
That's WRYB. Lakevin didn't complain on Twitter's ranking.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And this is where the Texas Longhorn fans need to
listen up, because a lot of you guys have Texas.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Going undefeated in the SEC.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Hold on, okay, so hold on Florida six. You said, yeah,
Florida six. The South Carolina game Cocks. Number five, that's
too low, but I'll get to that in a second.
The LSU Tigers, number four, Alabama here, number three, I
think that that's namesake, and then number two Georgia Bulldogs.
And your number one SEUC prediction, the Texas Longhorns.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
You actually said a legim carry right there.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, so you know there's that now the champion votes
explain the champion votes.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
So the champion votes is literally just each member. I
believe there's one hundred and sixty of them. They voted
for who they thought I would finish in first place.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I would have voted for the ou Sooners.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Well three people, did I know? That's right?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Somebody voted for the Auburn Tigers. I guarantee they're an
Auburn Rider.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
The Old Miss Rebels got one point as well.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
That was probably Lane Kiffen, who's still sore about the
fact that his team didn't make it.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
To the colleg football finals and they didn't deserve it.
Tennessee Volunteers at nine. The Florida Gators feared the Swamp
number eight. I had abuilt Commodore's here seven.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
That's crazy. I'm pretty high on Florida this year.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Actually, my Oklahoma Sooners with three points, South Carolina with five,
the LSU Tigers with twenty, the Crimpton tad Rolls tad
Roll with twenty nine, the Georgia Bulldogs here with forty four, and.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
The Longhorns with ninety six.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
So if you look at the media predictions and you
look at this, Texas should roll, right.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
I Mean you've think which but the problem is a
lot of a lot of the Texas hype though, is
just based on hype. I think Texas right now is
a team that I am watching out for. Defensively, they're
gonna have like probably five first rounders on the defense.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Here's on offense.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Uh. I will say this again, and I feel like
you come run to my way of thinking a little bit.
Arch Manning is getting way too much hype, way too
early into his career. And if it wasn't a Manning,
he wouldn't be talked about it in this way. A
quarterback with only two with only two starts against saying quarterback.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Doesn't to be talked about.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Colet McCoy.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Okay, who's the quarterback before Arch Manning? The dude that
went to you know Quinn? And he's the quarterback for Quinn? Yours?
Sam Allnger, who's the quarterback before Sam Alenger? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I don't care exactly Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalalen Hurts.
You know your team?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Right? I think album. But here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
When I take away from it, and I'm going to
give credit work credit, it's too because on this show,
fun fact, I see hindsight fifty to fifty.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I know it's twenty twenty. Calm down. So arch Mandy
was there, he's being interviewed.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, and he was saying, I don't believe the hype
in myself, right, which is a very humble thing to say.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
That's not humble, that's kind of stupid to say.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
No, he's he's saying, like, hey, back off, right. He's
telling the media basically, hey, back off.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
The university texts that confidence to say like, I don't
believe in the hypeen myself right.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
But that should scare you as a Longhorn fan.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
If you're a Longhorn fan, you're kind of taking a
deep breath here because the guy that's leading your team
that's gonna come out and leads you, is saying, Hey,
don't believe in me that much yet.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I've only played two games.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
I'm gonna tell you right now, like I think one.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Or two things go happen. He's gonna be really good,
he's gonna be really bad. I think, first of all,
you're not beating Georgia by forty I think, stop it.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
I think the first two quarterbacks that again drafted next
year do come out of the SEC. But they ain't
named Manning true. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you who
they are and tell me if you agree with this one. Okay, Okay,
this isn't necessarily an order. This is just the two
guys you need to watch out for and why I
think Carolina and l s U Wink wink should be
the teams to watch out for in that conference.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
LSU quarterback Garrett.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Nussmeyer, son of Doug Nussmeyer, the offensive coordinator for the
for the Saints.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Okay, he might.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Be the most pro ready team quarterback in the He's
going to be a New Orleans Saint, I mean Saints,
and he very well could.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
That's the thing.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
He very He's very accurate, he's processed as well.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
He's like he's very much like.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
He's very much a guy you could draft in the
first round and be a reliable starter. The problem with
those like really safe quarterbacks that they don't have a
lot of like upside because they don't do a lot
of special things.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Who's the second second.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Guy, the guy who I think should be on the
early Heisman watch list? Leonora Sellers the quarterbacks from South Carolina,
because I think he is Jaden Daniels, light he's mobile.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
He's accurate, he has a really good deep ball. He
is a guy.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
And if it weren't for a couple of bad a
couple of bad plays against Bama, they probably.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Would be at the very Carolina Football.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Yes, but it doesn't matter because he is this quarterback
can make the difference because every every I mean every team,
every championship team that had that one difference maker player
came out of nowhere. Cam Newton was a nobody and
he took Auburn to a championship in one year.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
It can happen, I know, like it can happen with
my Oklahoma Sooners.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
And John Matier is a guy you want to watch
out war.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Too, Okay, I mean there's a lot of preseason hype.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
There's a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Of course, Texas being on top of this after the
SEC media days, they're going to be the favorite in
the SEC. You know in A and M. Look at you,
your middle of the pack. You had your shot last year.
A and M fans, And if you want to get
mad about that, get mad about it.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I don't care. You can do whatever you want to.
I don't care. That's just what I'm gonna say.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Tell you so.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Coming up next, I want to get into some I
don't know. Shall we talk the Spurs, Yes we shall.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
It's a little ghost Spurs go on the Fanatics on
ticket seven sixty
