of you guys entertain me.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
And the comments here that have come up from this
last segment is Antonio Robinson actually tells us I'm a
Browns fan, but I think.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Jerry is the issue with the Cowgirls. I thought we
got rid of a Browns fan already. No, we always
gain them because they're always here.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I love brown fans because they are realistic, because again,
their teams can be absolutely terrible, but they still love
their team.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I think Cowboy fans a lot of issues. I'm just
letting you know. I'm just letting you know that if
you ever said it to anx cowgir, she might who
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
You know, cal It was funny to me. Somebody told
me this that Cowboy fans are.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Where was it?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah? I don't know where I was. I was on
plenty of issues this past week, Shane.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I don't know if you cantain dew. I am no.
I don't drink mountain dew. I've learned not to drink
mountain dew. Don't you're a Diaria Dr Pepper fan. I
am a big Doctor Pepper fan. I love Doctor Pepper.
I wish I was a Dr Pepper. You know a
fun fact about Dr Pepper?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Did you know that he The reason for that being
is why it's called Doctor Pepper, Shane.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Do you know why? I have no idea?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
In fact, kids sit around the old TV radio dial
listen to the story of Doctor Pepper.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
So there is twenty three different flavors.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You can go up to Wago, you can go to
the Doctor Pepper Museum and you can figure this out.
The reason why he says Doctor Pepper's because he was
trying to impress a girl. He wasn't a doctor, but
the father of the person that he was trying to
get in courtship, I guess, would only allow his daughter
to date somebody that was a doctor. Well, back then

(02:00):
it was a lot easier to tell people that you
were a doctor, So he just put Doctor Pepper in
front of.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Himself and guess what he got to marry that girl?
Smart man. Sometimes line works some a.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
If you ever get a chance to go to the
Doctor Peppery Museum, I highly suggest it.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
It's a good little day trip for you. I'm real curious, though,
because I know we all. I got three minutes lifting
the show.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
You said you didn't even tell me this during the
break because you're very squirreled, Like, what's this local.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Thing you want to talk about? You ready for it?
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Well, and I'll get into it because I do want
to take a real quick second away from the from
the sports talk side of things, and I want to
address the national media if I can.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
So let me address the national.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Media, because you guys are triggering me more than words
can say. Obviously, down here in Texas with the Hill
Country flooding, which has really kind of been a big
national story, we've lost over one hundred lives, We've lost
over a lot of things we have to rebuild. Yeah,

(03:04):
the national media now likes to make stories when people
are dead. The Camp Mystic director he died, Yeah, he's gone.
And I've seen ABC particularly saying that he waited.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
What are we doing?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
What? What are we doing? We're gonna we're gonna make
this story about a guy that lost his life anyways,
rescuing girls from this camp that died, and you want
to sit there and make it a headline that he
waited too long. Let me tell you something. Inn't wait

(03:47):
too long. Those flood alerts. You're pointing in the wrong direction,
my friends, in the wrong direction. Trust as my kids
would say, you're pointing out a guy that lost his life,
who was seventy years old, knowing for a fact that
he had to get up to where he was. Okay,

(04:10):
forty five minutes. Right, we're gonna, we're gonna critique this guy.
We're gonna bash him. Why he's laying six feet under now?

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Why?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Because we need headline material. We need to talk about something.
Let me tell you what you need to talk about.
It's in that county. It's the city leaders. Okay, I
said it there. It is the alert system. How many
of you decide to do this, You decide to put
your phone away for alerts, point the other way. National media,

(04:43):
Stop reaching for stories because it's annoying. Anyways, that's it
for the show. We'll do it again next week, but
you catch me on Ticket seven sixty tomorrow and the
Indy Everage Show. It's the Fanatics right here on Ticket
seven sixty. Hey everyone, it's Dylan Emory, host of The
