Speaker 1 (00:05):
With Shane Carter.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I know I was going to tell you about this first,
but you know what, we have a producer of this show, Shane,
and he reminds me of a lot of things, like
one being off track, So I kind of want to
talk about this. Friday was a very important day for me.
I just want you guys to know I had a
chance to watch Happy Gilmore too, and it was amazing.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
It was amazing, Shane, And now I.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Know you have not seen it, and so I don't
don't want to give you any series.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Because I've been waiting for ever forever of the sequel
was so amazing.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
It's It's one of those that sequels.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know it's the right time, because sometimes you get
sequels and you're like me, this one sounds like.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I am doing some kind of character.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
No, so we could do you want to.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Tell that's a doesn't matter. He was like to have.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Something about it. Yeah, yeah, he's got actually or something.
I love.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Adam Sale was good movies, but he has a lot
of bad movies.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, but you know what, he's got a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Every Happy Gilmore. He has a Jack and.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Jill fifty first dates. That's a good I like fifty
First Days. Hi, I'm Tom.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
The singer was really good wedding singer, longest yard, longest yard. Okay, well,
speaking of right, so we all know the villain and
happy Gilmour.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Right, what was his name? Shooter? Shoot?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
He got to shoot shot right? And of course we're
seeing all the commercials right now. So I did some research, Shane.
I want to go over a couple sports villains. Okay, right,
and I want to see if you agree that these
are sports villains.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I feel like they're going to miss some easy ones,
but I'm intrigued.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Uh, So let's go with clubb Lang of Rocky three.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Oh, definitely right.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
He was probably of all the of all the Rocky villains,
maybe the most least likable.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
He was because all the gold chains that he had.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
No, no, because because he killed, because he killed Rockies trainer.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
He no, no, no, no, no, you talk Russian to
Russian killed the Rockies.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
No no, he killed Apollo.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Man, see, I get all my Rockies messed up this?
Why didn't play boxing?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Fool?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Like glober Lang was literally just mister ches, mister t
as a bad guy. It was really the fact that
he killed was a mick. Yeah, he killed that was
the thing. Yeah, I didn't care about the chains. You
saw him working out in the hood. Okay, Like so
obviously he's gonna wear a little little little gold that's
his thing. That's fine.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I didn't care really like him.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Okay, what about what about Ernie McCracken, Kingpin, it's been,
it's been. He played him where it's like the hair
piece and everything else like that.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
He was such a jerk.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yeah, he set Willie Harrels enough to get his hand
cut off.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Right, and yeah, no, I agree.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
And then he wins at the end with three straight strikes,
like right, what's what the hell was that?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
In a baseball movie? Rachel Phelps, oh major League the
owner of the Cleveland Indians, which is great because she
plays this villain, and of course the villain turns where
she's gonna sell the team to Miami. She's gonna do
all this, And of course you have the managers that says, hey,
we don't even have cold water in here to support
my boys.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Greatest manager wins thing.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Each time we win, we're gonna peel a piece.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
And when we pill with more than three, guess what
that's called a winning Streak greatest manager of all time
in baseball movies.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
No, he was so emotionless but also very emotional at
the same time when he had that same stern face.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Hey, Willie, great catch, don't ever.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Do it again. That's not what he said.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I know. And we all remember the villain from Dodgeball,
correct White Goodman.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yes, I love Dodgeball.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
If you can dodge Rinch, you can dodgeball, you know,
and been.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Still hun Yeah. Yeah, he stole that movie. I feel
like he did.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
And you know, let's not forget Gerard from Teladega.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Knights for the stop stop you there, because he was
not the villain. He was the He was the enemy
of Ricky Bobby. He was not the enemy. He was
not the bad guy. The bad guy in that movie
was Ricky Bobby's owner, whatever his name was, the guy
who inherited the team from his dad because his dad,
his dad liked his dad liked Ricky Bobby Moore and
he and he just passed that hate along.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
So that was the true villain of that movie.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
I you know, he didn't carry any good sportsmanship with him.
He was changing circuit and he taunts and trolls Ricky
Bobby French people, not our friend of the show, Ricky Bobby.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
But Ricky Bobby. You know he ain't first you last?
Speaker 3 (04:44):
She got?
Speaker 1 (04:44):
So who else do I?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
You do?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Nothing like h huh, I am coming for you. Shane Carter.
I liked he was the villain. It's not he was
not the villain. He was. He was just he's just
the adversary. Okay.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
The villain was the big business guy.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
All right, some of the If you're just now joining,
going what's going on? It's Sunday Funday. So if Happy
Gilmour two is out, I would tell you to highly
watch this over and over again.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
We're allowed to have one segment a week where we
talk about like just stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Yes, and this is that segment. Yes, how about this one? Okay,
Warden Hazen The Longest Yard.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
That's a good one.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Nineteen seventy four and two thousand and five, that's a
good one. So I mean not only that, it's like
you had the original and guess who was part of
that movie in two thousand and five but Reynolds Adam Sandler, Right,
so Adam Sandler again?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
You know with aku, I guess would that be called
a sequel? No?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Is a remake.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
This is just a remix, a remake. It's the same movie,
just modernized. I love the soundtrack, like when they had
Nelly in there, like that was a dope soundtrack.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
You ever heard it? Had the CD?
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah? Actually I sent yeah Nelly for Tato, right is
that her name?
Speaker 4 (05:50):
No, not Nellie Fortato. First of all, No, Nelly like
the rap Nelly like the us in the movie.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
I am number one that guy. Yeah, he was a
running back.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah yeah, okay, okay, what about this guy?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I'll get it right this time. Ivandrago.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Oh that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
You didn't know the wind Rockie.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
If he does, he does, If he does he does,
I must him.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
You know.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
You know why he's a great villain. It is because
we're quoting him today.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Well, and here's the thing. It was it Rocky six,
but no, or was it? It was Creed? So they
turned Drago right into a trainer, into a trainer for
his own son. The drama that unfolds and Creed about
this can't I'm telling he made his son a villain.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Would you agree to that?
Speaker 4 (06:36):
I mean, yeah, that's that's a generational villainy though, Ladies.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
And gentlemen, this is our time of year.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Where we see people like Joey Chestnutt being introduced to
the Savannah Bananas as a seventeen time hot dog winning guy.
How is he not dead? He's one that hot dog
challenge I heard.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
He's like a color. He has four stomachs, so he
just stores him later.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
How do you have forced?
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Well, obviously you're not human, then you have different anatomy rules, right.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
And of course the number one villain, Shooter mcgavern of
Happy Gilmour.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
He was robbed of the Gold Cup? Is that what
they called back the gold Jacket?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Shooter was played by Christopher McDonald, you know, and again
he comes back as Shooter in the twenty twenty five one.
He's a super talented professional golfer who believes that he
will always win the best game ever, willing even willing
to cheat and mess up opponents to ensure and stays
(07:36):
on top.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Let me tell you an underrated one that did enlist,
but I think I think might be I should be
least considered.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Have you ever seen any of the Mighty Ducks franchise?
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Guess the coach for the I think they were I
suppose say like Finland or something like that. For the
Norwegian team in the second movie, who was a former
ANHL player who was talking crap to Gordon Bombay and
had his team like basically beat the you know what
out of them in that game. They had to come
back and make her sort of miracle comeback in that movie.
He tried to turn his own, like fourteen year old
kids into villains.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
He was probably the best villain in that series.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
I would also throw.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
In the seniors for the from the third movie because
they were just jerkes for no reason.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Now, one we've got to throw out is the Beast
from the Sandlot.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Now is that the list?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah, this is not a villain, Well, this is a
Cordy to sporty News dot com, they put him at
number eighteen on this list, and they did they never
seen the movie then, Yeah, and it's called the Beast, right,
And I'm like, how old are you guys? Because the
Beast was just a scared dog. He was a good boy,
and he was a good boy. The villain was that
little little league team that they beat the crap out of.
Oh yeah, ride in the bikes a lot, play ball
(08:40):
like a girl. Yeah, if you were not watching that
second but you know, what the whole beast thing. Like
when I was a kid, Yeah, when I was in Maryland,
we had a sandlot. We had a dog on one
of the other side of the fences.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
That was those beasts.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
That was our beast, but it was like a twelve.
But this guy's name was Hercules. Come to find out,
he just wanted to be part of the team. He
is being part of the team. I don't see how
you can take this, So, sporting news dot Com, I
demand you today to.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Take him off your list. Another one that I would
throw out there. Have you ever seen the first air Bud? No?
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Okay, well that's stayed away from that.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
The bad guys, the guys who are trying to like
take this dog away from this kid because he has
the dog obviously has like supernatural sporting abilities for some reason,
and like that.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
One's more consider goes who steals a dog as a kid?
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Ever Bud Evil air Bud?
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I don't know, but yeah, you've got to take the
Beast off of this list. I think I'm gonna just,
you know, sin a waiver that says that that's just
non existence. So coming up, we are going to wrap
up the Fanatics one ticket seven sixty
