Virtual Excursions Australia (VEA) is a collaborative network of video conferencing providers from across the country including; arts, science and education organisations. Created in 2012 by Karen Player, Stephen Bancroft and Ben Newsome, Virtual Excursions Australia has for years acted as a platform to discuss and share best practice between distance education specialists, hardware and software vendors and the booking hubs that bring these online interactive programs to schools, libraries and more. Importantly, Virtual Excursions Australia enables learners across Australia to have access to high quality innovative educational content that is informed by leaders in distance education.
