Speaker 2 (02:21):
Hello? Hello, Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Absolutely now Destiny. For the listeners, let me kick us
off because there is most definitely a connection point and
if any of you have been listening to the show
over the last two to three years, when I say
how we're connected, it will be no surprise at all.
So shout out to KBN, the Kingdom Business Network. Chanel

(02:45):
E Martin Chandler Bailey and a host of other people
that have been guessed that is where I first learned
about destiny, and so Destiny, this is it's really so
for you listeners. She may be new, but but she
is not new to me for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Definitely a full circle moment.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yes, very very full circle. Well, Destiny, when we think
about all those elements that are in your bio, people go,
oh my god, Wow, she does a lot. And it's true.
God has grace you to do many things. But Destiny,
we know that you just didn't wake up in twenty
twenty four. The prayer pist to give us the history,

(03:29):
give us a chronicle of what led to that and
where you find yourself today in twenty twenty four, Well.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
What led to that?

Speaker 4 (03:38):
I definitely did not wake up and decide to become
the prarapist, the author author, none of that. I actually
graduated high school and went right into corporate America. I
was in the insurance industry, and that's where I had
planned to stay and retire, just being honest, because I
came in at eighteen, moved up.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
The latter very quickly, made really good money.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
But I found myself actually in a battle known as
infertility and my husband and I got married at well,
I got married at twenty one, and we had planned
not to have children because we wanted to experience each other,
but we unfortunately had a miscarriage, and for me, I
wanted to prove to my husband he didn't marry a
broken bride, and so I wanted to now try to

(04:26):
have a baby. And nothing was working, and so I
ended up going down this three and a half year
infertility journey, and that journey actually let me.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Down my own prayer pee journey.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
It led me on this journey to find God in
a way I didn't know him. I realized I knew
of God, but I didn't know God. And so battling infertility,
I was raised where you don't question God, and so
I was found myself in this really uh stuck place
because it's like, I know He's in control of this,

(05:02):
but you're telling me I can't question him, like make
it make sense. And so I tried to get around
the system, and I picked up a journal and a
pen and I begin to just vent to God, write
letters to God. And I was extremely honest and vulnerable
and not so nice, and that is what led me

(05:23):
on this journey in fertility.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Actually, Wow, at Destiny you said a few things that
were loaded there one and folks were not trying to
come at anybody denominationally or anything like that, but not
asking God questions. You started to really bring out the
relational aspect of knowing God. I think sometimes we understand

(05:46):
the obedience obeying God or maybe the fear of the
Lord and God's sovereignty. But just talk a little bit
more about that destiny, because a lot of times when
we go through a traumatic experience or a trial, it's
often that relational piece that we're struggling with. We're like, Okay,

(06:09):
I know God's in control, but yet I'm experiencing all
these emotions and I'm feeling sad or angry, and you know,
we're sons and daughters at the end of the day.
So just in working through that and we'll get into
the pyrap and all that. But how pivotal and how
crucial is it too for the relational aspect of knowing God?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
It is.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Top tier because the reality is, and this is something
that God, you know, informed me during our time of togetherness,
is the reality is is if we how can we
feel adopted by a father? How can we feel received
into his family, but not be able to ask him questions.

(06:59):
There was something Gods to me in prayer one day
and it really changed, like my entire mind how I
operate with him. But he said, Desney, I am heartbroken.
I am upset and disheartened. And I said, well, looking
at the world, you have a lot of reasons.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Why God, but enlighten me.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
And he said, not those who don't call me their father,
but those who do call me their father, they unfortunately
treat me like a deadbeat father.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
And I was like, what do you mean by that?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
And he was like, because they say I have a
purpose and a plan for them. They say, you know
I have purpose for them. I am a good father.
They sing these songs, But the reality is a good
father leaves a blueprint for their children.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Right.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
If you say I have a purpose and a plan
for you, that's an expectation. And so what kind of
father would I be to have an expectation of you
but not show you how to reach the expectation. A
deadbeat father produces a fruit and leaves the fruit to
figure it out on their own. But my children are
out here figuring out who they want to marry. And
who want what they want to do but want me
to rubber stamp it. But if they really believed that

(08:00):
was a good father, they would seek me in all things.
And So to answer your question in regards to like
talking to him, being vulnerable with him, that is how
you have a relationship with someone. How could I have
an effective marriage if I never talked to my husband
or asked him questions, I couldn't.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Wow, that's a mic drop, right, we could just stop
the show right there, for man, Jason wise is a
five minute show because Destiny just said what she said
and we're done. But no, Destiny, I agree, that's that
is critical. And so Destiny, you talked about how that

(08:37):
really shaped going through the infertility that shaped that was
a turning point for you. Out of that, we know
we don't always like it, we don't like trials, but
out of that there's a lot of things that grow.
So that was the turning point that sets you up
for prayer.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Pee.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
This is where we kind of get to the part
Destiny where it's like I think people, well some people
they go, Okay, I can I can wrap my head
around prayer, And I think I can wrap my head
around what therapy or counseling is, but then you put
them together and then you start getting the head scratchers. So,
just for those listening, how did that even begin to materialize?

(09:22):
We have the turning point and then you're going down
the path and now something new is occurring that God
is doing. How does how did any of that even
come together for what you call prayrapy?

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Now, well, what what ended up happening is you know,
I was crying out to God for a baby.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I kept saying, God, what is this?

Speaker 4 (09:42):
You know, my entire family has kids, Everyone has kids,
and the doctors are diagnosed, diagnosing me with things I've
never even heard of in my life, saying I most like, well,
we'll never have kids. And the Lord kept saying, you
having a baby is bigger than you.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
There's things that need to show you about yourself.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
And so he said I was struggling with abandonment, rejection,
and loss of identity. And I was like, okay, I
mean I went through therapy before, and I heard of
rejection and abandonment. You know, my father wasn't really in
the home that whole thing, but he was unraveling it
in a way. I wasn't familiar with, and so that's
where praipy came from. Prayerpy is an inner healing or

(10:22):
counseling technique where you're basically doing counseling with God. God
will reveal to you those deep rooted things. So the
way he articulates it is there's three levels of healing.
Level one I'm sorry. So the way he articulates it

(10:56):
is there's three levels of healing. Level one is is
identifying that a traumatic experience has occurred in some way.
So that's you know, that can be abandoned and somebody
abandoned you, rejected you, it can that can be explained
in however way because traumatic isn't defined in how big.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Or small it is.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Level two is where most people stop, and that's therapy.
That's where you identify how to cope with that said trauma. Trauma, right,
you don't cry anymore when you think about it, you
don't get angry, you find coping mechanisms.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
And the third level is prarapy.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
That's when you invite the Holy Spirit into identify where
the seed was planted so that he can unravel it
and uproot it so that he can now resoil it
and make fruit out of what tried to attack you
or not make you fruitful.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
So, for example.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
And prayer, the Lord was like, I want you to
I asked me where the seed of rejection was planned?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
And when was the seed of rejection planet? I was
like okay.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
And so when I asked that question, he verified or
clarified that it came when I was in the wound.
And I was like in w and he was like,
when your mother informed your father that she was pregnant
with you, I was in high school. He informed her
that he had a scholarship, his parents were pastors, he
couldn't be there for you. So at that very moment,
the seat of rejection and abandonment was planet. And so

(12:16):
here we are growing up and going through life and
we think it comes from that friend that didn't like
us or a relationship that didn't work, and you're trying
to deal with it at that level, when in actuality,
it all started.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
In the womb.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
And you really need God to come in and give
you that clarity because now you have strategy to your
prayer life. Right, you know, God, take me back to
that moment, unrival it from that moment, give me language
for those things so that is what prayer.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
He is in the most cutest concise way.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
But that was all revealed through imfertility, me kind of
going through this process with God where I was asking
questions about myself and He was unraveling myself at the
same time.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
And now I use it to help other people as well.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
My Goodness, Destiny, that's just as you're saying that, I'm
getting chills just thinking about it. And I can't imagine
the number of people that just need to sit with
God in that way and allow the Holy Spirit to
deal work in their heart just all the with the healing.
So My Goodness, Destiny make me think of many things

(13:20):
and A I don't want to say typical because it's
not fair to the Lord, but when you're sitting down
with people, what does a session look like when you're
taking people or groups through this process.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
So the way it looked, it's very similar to like
I said, I've been to counseling and therapy. It's very
similar to that. We start the session with opening with prayer.
It's very specific prayer though, so the Holy Spirit will
speak to what they.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Have going on in that very moment.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Everybody knows familiar with prophetic prayer, and then we go
into our venting portion, and that's where they literally I
instruct them to talk about what comes to their mind,
whether that's what was going on during the day, how
they feel about their relationships, whatever goes comes through your mind,
talk about that, and as they're talking, the Holy Spirit
will begin to drill down what they're actually saying. So,

(14:13):
for example, someone may come in there and they say,
you know, lately, I've been reaching out to old friends
and family members and everybody just seems to be super
busy and not available to me. And the Lord may
say something like, that's intentional, because right now I'm calling
you into the seclusion and consecrationing with me, but you
want to be and everybody else be available to everybody else,
right The Lord may say something like, you know, I've

(14:34):
called you to come to the forefront, but you keep
alling rejection and abandonment to tell you you're not enough,
So he'll drill there. And then towards the end we
do a journaling prompt together where based on our session,
the Holy Spirit will give me questions that.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
You will journal to him.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
So for example, it may be Lord, reveal to me
why I am afraid to come to the forefront.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Lord. You you're telling me to.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
You know, start a podcast, right, you know what is
what is attached to the podcast? Or show me the
people's lives that will be set free from my podcast. Lord,
show me the lives that will be touched from the podcast,
and the Lord will literally respond to you. So we

(15:22):
do an actual technique where you go before the Lord
and then we ask the Lord to confirm it with
scripture because if it's not backed by the word baby,
is it really him?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Right? Period?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
And so yes, that's how and that's how the session
will conclude. So people leave not only with peace and
knowing that God knows exactly where you are, what you're
going through. He speaks, he's very very specific words, so
you know it's God like, it's nothing I would because
I don't know you. And then on top of that,
you get to leave with actual strategy of what to

(15:51):
do next. I think that's where most people get lost
because they're like, Okay, God, you're telling me to do this,
but I don't know why or I don't know where
it's gonna come from. But he actually gives you instruction.
Now maybe seek me for ten days so that you
can get the next steps right. That may be your instruction,
but he's going to give you instruction of what to
do next.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Mmm, my goodness. Thank you for that breakdown, Destiny. That
gives that that gives people an image or a picture
of what it's like to go through the process. Now, DestinE,
we know as the prayerpist. That's that's one way you
serve people, but you also serve people through being an
author as well as having your own conference and a podcast.

(16:33):
So I believe at this time of the year you've
already had your conference. But talk to us, Destiny about
the the prophetic reloaded conference and when God gave that
to you, what was the what how did he want
you to go about putting it on? And the purpose
behind it?

Speaker 4 (16:53):
So you know, I tell God, I'm willing to do anything.
I think I will do anything you want me to do,
but put on a conference. And he said, okay, well
put on a conference, right. So the uh, this was
actually our fourth one. The one we had was in
twenty twenty during COVID, and I was like, God, are.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
You sure you're telling you to put this on?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Like and it's in person because you know, during COVID
everybody was having things on zoom and at the same
time I was actually I had I was pregnant, and
so he told me I cannot have an in person
baby shower, but I could have an in person conference.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I was like, this does not make any sense, Like,
but does he ever in the natural sense? No? Right,
So the first year.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Every year the theme changes, but the conference is called
Propederic Reloaded Conference. It's literally an event where families get
to together and we give them insight on what's to come,
how to prepare for what is to come. So this
one our theme was Joseph's Arise and God is literally
preparing us for the famine, and we talked on topics
from gardening. We had a gardening class where everybody got

(18:03):
to learn gardening. We learned about the government things that
are coming governmental wise, finances, how God wants us to
save and by land and so every workshop host went
before the Lord and got specific instructions on what to
share with the audience. One year we did marriages ministry,
another year we did Awaken, And so every year the

(18:28):
theme changes, but the original concept came out of that,
like really just getting God's people together and giving them
the tools necessary for what God is preparing, because God
is a preparer and unfortunately a lot of times the
kingdom is behind the curve on instead of being in
front of it.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
So that's what the.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Commerce so good. I wasn't even there, folks, and I'm
already excited, like, man, I need this, Yeah there, But
you're right. Preparation and equipping that's what That's what's involved,
and that's what God does for his children and destiny.
As an author, it's so much. You know, there's the

(19:06):
spoken or the prophetic word, but then the written word
scribing is still alive and well. As an author, Destiny
and I don't know if you're in the middle of
a project or not. Not trying to spoil anything, but
as an author, you've written a number of books. What's
your primary book that you have out now? And how

(19:27):
did God use that book to sometimes with the written word?
You know, it lives on right. We know there's all
the copyright laws and all that, but it's something about
somebody holding a book tangibly in their hand. What did
the book do for you to kind of bring everything together?

Speaker 4 (19:50):
I would have to say for me, it was probably
my second book I wrote, which was how He saved
my marriage, because not only did I share my full
prayer pee process during infertility, but God actually in that
book made me go back and write, Well, the book's

(20:11):
called how Prayer We Saved My Marriage Abandonment Unveiled, and
I literally had to go back and write a personal
letter to everyone who abandoned me in my life, my mother,
my father, and so that book was definitely a hard right,
but it was a necessary right.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
And going back, even reading.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
It today, I see just how God stretches me. I
get people who have read it or are reading it
and they're like, oh my gosh, like this really helps now.
At one girl, she has like a mark on her
calendar where everywhere every year at that same time she
go back and read it to.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
See how God has stretched her.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
So that one and then also my devotional was the
last one I wrote. We actually use it during our
six am prayer calls and going back and rereading it
and seeing mentally where I was how God has stretched me,
but then also redoing the prompt and seeing how the
answers have changed even though the question was still the same.
So yeah, I love I love the Living Word, I

(21:08):
love reading the Bible I love, you know, journaling with
God because like it's something it it literally brings light
to me when I go back and read it again,
as it should so absolutely. And then you know, I
also host retreat so we use those in the retreats
as well.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
So yeah, it's just a lot, folks.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
If you were, if you were paying attention, there's there's
an under that, there's an undercurrent there to what Destiny
was talking about, is a literally as a book can
undergird all the other things she has going on. She
talked about the retreat. Uh, then she has a prayer
call conference. It's crazy that some people they don't think

(21:49):
about the strategy side of things, Destiny, But you just
gave us a real life, living case study on how
a book can be used and multiple contexts to serve
your customer, your target audience. So thank I didn't want
people to miss that. It's like gyues we're talking to
we're doing the inner healing, we're doing all that. But

(22:11):
God is using a book. He's using a process. But
also that process was captured in a book which has
your testimony which people have heard, which it resonates in
their heart, and then the Holy Spirit does the work
and creates a moment for them to want to change. So,
my God, I don't know if I just preached to

(22:31):
myself or not, but that's what I felt that you
were getting me excited.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Absolutely, Yeah, it all started with the book. It actually did.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
So that's amazing, Destiny.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Where can people go and get copies of your books?

Speaker 4 (22:51):
You can get them from Amazon or you can get
them directly from my website, which is realizing Destiny dot com.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Yeah, Amazon didn't realize dot com.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Awesome. And folks, don't you worry. I know Destiny's dropping
nuggets of gold. We will have all of her information
in the show notes Fortified Life podcast dot com. So
don't you worry. I know it's like she's just dropping us.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Don't worry.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
We'll have it all gathered for you, you know, Destiny.
As we get ready to close here, and I know
God is always working on a lot of stuff with you,
what are you most excited about upcoming? You know we're
coming to the end of the year here, even if
it's high level. What are you excited about for twenty
twenty five?

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Oh twenty five?

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Mm? I am just excited. God keeps saying he's doing
a new thing. That's just something he keeps saying, and
so I'm excited to see what that all encompasses. This
is year seven in my business and doing this full time,

(24:02):
and we are, like I said, I do retreat, so
we go somewhere internationally every year, and this is going
to Africa, and I think that's like the big right.
We did Dubai, we did Bali, but I'm like Africa, right,
but then it's like we got next year. So I'm
just I'm just really excited to see what God's gonna do.

(24:26):
Because just to know I was a young girl in
a cubicle that had dreams and visions and God saw
me and saw fit to use me in this capacity
is enough.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
That's that's exciting. Destiny again, you get me all because
like seven, you know, completion perfection and eight the new
beginning us at all Man, it's gonna be a big year.
I already know already, So thank you for sharing that.
And folks, I know at times it sounds like it's
a general word, but if you just look at what's

(25:00):
happening in the world today, not just the negative, but
there really is a lot of new things sprouting. And
if we're not careful. A lot of things are converging,
but it's like God is moving in media, the entertainment,
the arts, business, government, and if we get caught up
in all the negative things or the distractions, it's easy

(25:23):
to mess. So Destiny, you sharing that about how you
all are gonna go bigger and better in Africa next year,
that sounds really exciting.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Absolutely, I'm just super excited, and like you said, not
to get caught up in the negative. Like we are
his children, like we talked about earlier, you know, and
he's a good father. He takes good care of his children,

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars?
