for organization. So avail yourself with that website and you
will find lots of good things there, and we appreciate
your stopping by on that tonight. I just have a
(02:13):
I just I kind of wanted to not really preach
to you as much as just talk to you about
about a few things. And I think, you know, the
world that we live in often often causes me to
ask the question anyway, I don't know about you, but
because of me to ask the question, you know, have
they lost their every loving mind? You know? I mean
(02:36):
I watched newskis, some of the news reports, articles that read,
the post that people have you know, on on social media,
and the different you know, podcasts and that sort of thing.
It's just, you know, there's just it frustrates me sometimes
to see the pictures the you know, all of the
(02:57):
unrest and all of the just a crazy stuff that's
going on, you know, in the government, the politics, the
news reports, the economic picture, social unrest, all of the
stuff that's going on, you know, the schools vers universities,
what's going on there? And how miss I mean, how
(03:19):
how really foolish? I mean, just for me, it's just like,
how can these people be so off base here? I mean,
it just strips me of my understanding of where in
the world did common sense go to these days? It
just it makes no sense to me, and I just
(03:42):
can't sometimes perceive at all why people think the way
they think nowadays. So it kind of brings me to
the question that i't want to ask you, and that
is have you lost your mind? Good question? And anyway,
one of my friends, he told me the other day, says,
(04:04):
I think I think everybody but you and me have
gone completely crazy. And here lately though, I've been wondering
about you anyway, With friends like that, who needs enemies
right now? You know Proverbs twenty six to it just says,
(04:25):
prove me a ord, test my heart and mind. And
you know it is we need to be asking the
Lord to you know, tell us what is it? Are
we thinking right? Are we reading the word right? Are
we are we, you know, communicating with others in the
(04:49):
right way? Have we lost our mind? Or do we
actually have the mind of Christ. It's a good question
to ask. And you know, I want to actually lose
my mind, and I want to have the mind of
Christ better than having my own faults. But I do
have thoughts and I do have a mind, and so
(05:11):
I want to use it rightly. I want to be
reproved by God when I'm doing wrong, and I want
to be approved of God what I'm doing right and
having the right fault. Proverbs three thirteen says blessed is
(05:32):
the one who finds wisdom and who gets understanding. And
you know what we need today is we need wisdom
and we need understanding. And I pray for, you know,
our lead to the leaders of our country and those
who are or who are in positions of high esteem.
(05:56):
It's so important that we do vote, and that we
do less people, and that we do pay attention to
what they're doing, and that we do approve or disapprove
of what's going on in our world. I think it's
important that we look at our universities and schools and
see what's going on there, you know, I mean, we
(06:17):
need to we need to have good people that are
teaching the right kind of things to our children and
bringing them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,
not in some indoctrination of some far off, weirdo concept
(06:37):
that they may want to be imposing on our kids.
You know, man, I mean for me, it just it
just really is one of those things that's troubling in
our time to see how far off base we seem
to have wondered. And I just can't grab hold of
(07:00):
it sometimes, Isaiah, Well, let's see proverb sixteen nine. It
says the heart of a man plans his way, but
the Lord establishes his steps. And you know, I really
do want God to establish my step. Even though I
might plan my way, I want I want it to
(07:23):
be his way, and sometimes when I've planned it it
might not be his way. I want it to line
up with him. I want him to direct my steps.
I want him to take me where where I need
to be and help me say and do the things
that I need to do. Vote for, I put my
(07:45):
hand behind, I put my effort behind and put my
support behind in my giving applied to you know, a
whole host of other other things. You know, Isaiah sixty
twenty six three. That says, you're keeping perfect peace whose
(08:07):
mind is stayed upon you because he trust in you,
You're keeping perfect peace. The one who whose mind is
kept is firmly planted on his positioned on you. And
you know that is such a powerful scripture verse right there,
(08:29):
because I love it. It says he keeps you in
perfect peace. You know, he, Jesus, is the prince of peace,
and he lives in our heart. He dwells in us richly,
the word says, And you know, we want to be
like him. We want to be moving in the power
(08:52):
that he moved in when he was walking on the
face of the earth. We want our steps to be
ordered by him because he he through the Holy Spirit,
teaches us everything that we have need of knowing. He
teaches us the truth. It's the truth that we believe,
(09:12):
the truth that we that we apply in our lives.
That's the truth that sits us free. It's the truth
that we know intimately. You know, know it's not just
the truth. You know, the Bible is the truth, and
you can read it and still not know it, and
you can't. You need to be more intimate with it.
(09:33):
You need to, you know, put it inside of you
so that it can impregnate your thoughts and produce thoughts
of the God kind of thoughts and you know, actions
as well. So you know, we need to keep our
(09:54):
mind upon him because that's how we can stay in
perfect peace. According to that script that's Isaiah twenty sixty three,
one of my favorite I really love. That's Jeremiah seventeen ten,
also is a good scripture. It says, says the Lord search,
search the heart. Search I the Lord search the heart
(10:20):
and test the mind, to give every man according to
the fruits of his deeds. In other words, what we do,
what we put her hand to, what we are able
to produce, you know. And it says that Jeremiah is
just saying, you know, I the Lord God God is saying,
(10:44):
I the Lord search the heart and test the mind.
And you know, he does know us. He knows us,
he created us, he knows us inside out. There's nothing
that he doesn't know about us. And he's just saying,
I know what you're thinking, I know what you're planning.
(11:05):
I know your ways. I know exactly what you have
on your mind right now, and so you know, to
every man according to the fruits of his deed. It's
what we What we have in our mind drops down
in our spirit, and out of out of the out
of our spirit, man comes. We will start speaking, we
(11:27):
will say, we will produce words that are sent out
and they'll perform and will and it will affect the
way that we bring ourself to action. It will affect
what we put our hand to. And you know, God
knows us, he knows what's going to happen, and so
that's why we want to spend more time with him.
(11:48):
That's why we want to be approved of God. That
we want to be approved of God and man. But
we certainly want to be approved of God because we
want to know the heart of God. We want to
know and understand what He has planned for our life.
It's always better and another place in Jeremiah says, I
(12:10):
know the plans that I have for you, good plans,
plans to prosper you, plans for a future and hope,
and you know it. Just Jeremiah is full of good
several really grand scriptures into that are worth committing to
(12:30):
our memory and understanding. Matthew, let me get it. Jump
over to Matthew twenty two thirty seven, and he said
to him, you shall love the Lord your God with
all of your heart, with all of your soul, with
(12:52):
all of your mind. Wow, we need to love God
with all of our heart, all of our soul, all
of our mind. I think it's kind of interesting because
the soul is mind, will, and emotion, and you know,
the reference quite usually whenever it says the heart, it's
(13:19):
really referencing that the soul, the inner man, so to speak.
And you know, mind, will, and emotion, all three of
all three of those are very very important. It's not
just our mind, but it's our emotions. It's how we
how we perceive things to be, and our wills, what
(13:43):
we determined to actually put our hand to, and all
of those are in that soul is rim and we
have to you know, control, We have to put some
controls behind that, because our emotions can drag us off
into Nona land, and our will can certainly buckle up
against any kind of sound thinking that we might have
(14:08):
and you know, get us into major trouble. And so
we want, you know, to be you know, fully soul,
that soulish ram. We want it under control. We want
it to be doing the things that we order it
(14:28):
to do what God wants us to put our mind,
our will, and our emotion to go. Matthew twenty three,
I'm twenty two to thirty seven. Let me read that
one more time because it's good. And he said, you
will love the Lord your God with all of your heart,
with all of your soul, with all of your mind.
(14:52):
I think it's interesting that he says, he puts the
little phrase with all of with all of you, you know,
with with great intensity. Each one of those need to
be taken. And and you know, but going back to
you know, the times that we live in right now.
That that's how we won't make it through is we
(15:15):
keep our focus uh on good things. God says. The
scripture says to to to look upon those things that
are above and not beneath, you know, and and keep
keep keep whatever is good, whatever is prosperous, whatever is lovely,
whatever is great, you know, keep your keep, keep your
(15:36):
mind on these things, you know, whatever is trustworthy, whatever,
there's a there's a lot of a lot of things.
That's a scripture tells us that it is good to
think about, and so we need to focus on that.
I don't want to take one one in particular scripture
that that's very powerful and it has a whole lot
(15:56):
to do with today, and keeping are not keeping your
mind stayed on God as the scripture said earlier. But
I want you to turn to Romans chapter one and
look at verse twenty eight, Chapter one, Verse twenty eight
(16:18):
in the King James version, I want to just read
it too, and says, and even though they did not
like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them
over to a reprobate mind to do the things which
(16:42):
are not convenient. And that same verse in the New
King James it says God gave them over to a
debased mine, And in the New American Standard that same
verse says gave them over to a deprived mind to
(17:08):
do things which are not appropriate. Now it goes on
to tell about all kinds of things, and what what
people have have allowed themselves to follow after and to
get into and to do, and and the way that
men think if they're not born again, they they have
(17:32):
they are given over to this mind to do the
things that that aren't even seeing aren't even right. I
aren't aren't aren't good, aren't wholesome at all. And I
think that's what we're seeing in the world, as we're
seeing an awful lot of people that they just do
not have the regenerated mind that Christ gives us opportunity
(17:57):
to have. You know, I don't, like I said earlier,
I want to lose my mind and I want to
have the mind of Christ. And that's going to bring
me to you know, walk in obedience to the word
of God, to know how He thinks and what he
wants and how he created this world for us to
(18:20):
be a wonderful, victorious, grand place to live in. And
so you know, in fact, Romans twelve two and three
says it says, do not conform to the pattern of
this world, which is what we're talking about, but be
(18:41):
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will
be able to test and prove what God's will is
is good, pleasing, and perfect. We will know what His good,
(19:04):
perfect and pleasing will actually is. And so that's what
we want. That's that's that's what Christianity is supposed to
bring to us. Now we can even a born again
Christian can think the thoughts of the world. And sometimes
I think maybe we allow ourselves to be too controlled
(19:27):
by the media reports, by the world's reports. But Isaiah
fifty three tells us, you know whose report do you believe?
You know who? Do you believe that the report of
the Lord? Or do you believe the report of the world?
And you know it this is this is very important.
(19:51):
So how do we set our mind? How do we
establish who we are and how you know, how to think?
How to live life successfully in a world that is
pretty m hm depraved, pretty messed up, pretty debased, pretty
(20:15):
you know, reprobate, I mean, I'm just I'm just saying
there's there's there's a lot of things the wrong kind
of thinking out there, and uh, that's what we want
to write our void Romans twelve two two through through
(20:35):
two and three. Do not be conformed to the pattern
of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, Be transformed to be You know that just
the way we think will bring transformation to our mind
(20:56):
and to our lives, because that's the way God plays.
And then you will be able to test and approve
what God's will is, what good, pleasing and perfect will
that He has for us. That's how we can step
into it. Well, that's a very powerful verse. Let me
(21:18):
go on to First Corinthians. First Corinthians. I'm not sure
what the verse is. I'll write it down. For who
has known the mind of the Lord that he may
instruct him? Wow, But we have the mind of Christ.
(21:44):
How can you know this is? This is Paul talking
to the church and is saying and he's telling them, listen,
you know, set your mind on good, the good instructions
that God has because we have the mind of Christ.
As a believer, as a Christian, you take and tap
into U and know the things that God thinking, and
(22:11):
that will enable you to not have a depraved mind
or are you know continue in wrong thinking that's going
to you know, produce bad things in your life. But
that will produce good things and will cause you to
be a fruitful person in the Lord. So let me
(22:38):
let me go on to Philippians, chapter four, verse seven.
It says, in the peace of God which surpasses all understanding. Wow,
the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus. Wow. What
(23:04):
a powerful, powerful and it just it just reiterated what
we read earlier. But but man, how powerful is Philippians
four seven, And it's just it's awesome. If you're not
taking will take that one down for sure. The peace
of God, which surpasses all understanding. You know, if you're
(23:27):
if you're not understanding, if you don't have understanding, and
you just need to get in and follow the peace
of God. Let it kind of be the empower in
your life. Let it and call the shot. Let it.
Let it tell you what's right and what's wrong, what
the strikes and the balls, and you know, I mean,
(23:48):
let it make the calls in your life. Follow after
that peace. If you if you are in the peace
of God, then you know that's exactly where God wants
you to be, and you're going to be doing exactly
what God wants you to do. So it's man, Philippians
four seven, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
(24:15):
it'll it'll pass your it'll pass everything that goes on
in this little b B brain up here. Of mind,
it's way better. The mind of Christ is so much better.
The you know, and the and to walk in the
peace of God is to know, really the mind of Christ,
and so we can know that Clautions one twenty one,
(24:39):
Washings one twenty one. And you who once were alienated
and enemies in your mind by wicked work, yet now
he has reconciled. Oh wow, you know that's saying once
(25:00):
you're born again. You know, once once we were sinnered.
Once we were people with depraved mind with with unrenewed minds,
unrenewed spirits. But that's not who we were. That's who
we were, but that's not who we are now. So
(25:21):
if you're born again Christian, this verse is a very
important one for you to the structure your life around.
Or who has known the mind of God that he
may instruct him, But we have the mind of Christ
(25:45):
first man, that that is just powerful. The peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind
through Christ Jesus. That's Philippians four seven and back to
Colossians one twenty one. And you who once were alienated
(26:08):
in enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now
he has reconciled. You know, man, those are powerful scriptures, folks.
And I just told that you're really locking hold of
the fact that you know we do need to lose
our mind. We need to lose our mind over Jesus Christ.
(26:30):
We need to have his mind. We need to tap
into it. And whenever you've become born again you have
that ability. Doesn't mean that you are doing it. It
just means that you can't. It means that you have
that ability now. And the way of doing that is
(26:50):
to get into God's word, to get around God's people,
to hear good solid preaching of the Word UH, and
to renew your your own thinking by and how you
do that As you do that by the word of God.
The word of God is like a tuning for it.
(27:10):
It tunes you in to the voice of God so
that you can hear him his spirit. You've got to
hear the spirit of God speaking to your spirit. And
when you are able to do that, you are able
to walk and discover the peace that He has for you.
(27:33):
Because he will lead you you you plan you you
may be planning your ways, but He'll direct your steps
by the spirit, not by mine, not by power, but
by my spirit, says the Lord. He's the one that
can that can bring you to where you need to
be at any given moment moment and cause you to
(27:54):
be successful. Uh, you know one again, it's it's Philippians
for seven for seven. I'm sorry. It says the peace
of God will surpass your understanding, and so it's not
it's not the world's understanding that we need. It's God's understanding.
(28:16):
And we know if we're in his peace, if we're
peaceful about it, if he puts that perfect peace into
us and causes us to know he's there, that he cares,
you know, Clautions three two. It just says, set your
(28:37):
mind on things above, not things on the earth. And
you know that's sometimes that's kind of hard to do
because there's so you know, the earth is so demanding.
The world that we live in is so you know, uh,
there's a lot of pressures here, and there's a lot
(29:00):
of things that cause us to set our mind on
something else. But you know, if we are diligent to
set our mind on things above, set our mind on
the word of God, set our mind on the on
on hearing the voice of God and knowing that he
is there. He is. He never leaves us, he never
(29:23):
forsakes us, he never runs away from us. But he's
always present in our life, and he will speak to
us and he will tell us. He will leap guide
us and direct our steps if we just follow after
the peace that he puts into our heart. If we
if we have no peace about a thing, we're going
(29:44):
the wrong way. If we have peace, well, then we
can walk in in that peace and know that God
is trying to help us, direct our our steps and
help us to travel the way that he is that
he can help us. And so first pity or one
one thirteen, I want to go there just right quick.
(30:06):
There's he says. Therefore, therefore, gird up your loins, the
loins of your of your mind, be sober, and rest
your hope fully upon the grace that is uh that
is to be brought to you at the revelation of
(30:30):
Jesus Christ. And that's kind of a highbrow deal there,
but it's basically is just saying, think soberly about about
the fact that Jesus is coming. Jesus is the victor
already and and he will and those who believe in
(30:51):
him will wind up the victor. The victorious ones are
are the ones that are with Christ Jesus, And so
you know, we can live victorious lives. We can have wonderful,
powerful things happening in our lives. Because we pay attention
(31:17):
to the things that are that are above, we can
pay attention to the fact that we don't need to
lose our mind, but we need to think soberly. We
need to think the right way. We need to We
need to have the mind of Christ operating in our
life so that we can operate successfully. We need to
(31:41):
be around other believers that are thinking correctly and that
we can join ourself with that we can vote together
with that we can run in some election, that we
can hear the voice of God say you go over
here and do this, and you go over here and
do that. You run for that office. Uh. You you
(32:03):
give to this cause, you give your testimony to that person.
You know, we can follow Christ as we walk day
by day, and we can be directed. You know, even
though we might have planned our day, God can veer
us off to the side and say, you know, and
take care of this little lady. Uh, minister to that
(32:27):
man right over there. Pray for this one right here
who needs healing in their body today. You know, give
that one an encouraging word. That's the mind of Christ
that's operating in in you. He's by your spirit. You
sense these things. It's a lot of those thoughts aren't
your thoughts. They're they're coming out of your spirit. They
(32:49):
may be landing in your head, and and and you
need your head to be able to you know, make
your hands move and move over there and do what
it is that your spirit is telling you and directing
you to do. So, Brothers and sisters in the Lord,
I'm just saying, I want to encourage you that we
(33:12):
don't have to have that reprobate mind. We don't have
to have that distorted mindset that the world has and
wants us to operate in and wants to steal away
from us everything but it's thought. But we have the
ability to tap into the mind of Christ. And it's
(33:34):
so much greater. It's so much more. It's so wonderful
to have the ability to read the word of God,
to hear the word of God, to hear the voice
of God speaking to our spirit and guiding every step
that we have to keep us in His perfect peace,
(33:56):
and know that we're traveling the right place, we're doing
the right things, and we're going to enjoy the right
kind of results in our life because of it. So
I just want to encourage you and pray for you
tonight and give you this little simple word and give
(34:18):
you this understanding that you know. We're in this world,
but we're not of this world. And we're going to
try to do all that we can to bring people
to an understanding of a much better way and a
much better life that all can enjoy. And operating as
(34:39):
Jesus said in John one. John four seventeen says, as
as he is, that's about talking about Jesus. Even right now,
where is Jesus. He's sitting at the right hand of
the Father in heaven right So as he is is
perfection and and in his place, so are we in
(35:05):
this world. Why because we have the ability to tap
into his mind, we can under we can think the
thought that he thinks. Right now, we can do the
things that he did while he was here on the earth,
he said, he said of his own ministry, he said,
(35:26):
I look to the Father and see what he's doing,
and I just do that. I just say that, I
just do those things. That's all. I'm not going to
do things on my own. I'm going to do what
I see the Father. That do you understand that we
have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God living in
(35:47):
dwelling inside of us, and it's continuously teaching us and
showing us all things that we have need of knowing.
And so we can actually do everything that the Bible
records Jesus did. And even one verse even says, wooty,
(36:08):
we're going to be able to do even more things
than he did. Why because there's more of us, of course,
but there's a lot of those things like healing the
sick and raising the dead, casting out demons. All of
those things are just authority that He has given to it.
We have the gifts of the spirit. We have we
(36:30):
have you know, prophecy, we have you know, laying on
the hands of people. We have, we have all the
gifts of the spirit, All of all, all of the
wonderful you know, produce from the spirit, that that that
that grows in us, and and we produce if we
(36:50):
just live by the word of God. And I'm telling you,
life is good for those of us who are believers,
and we don't need the let the world convince us
that everything is is going to heck in a handbasket. No,
we're headed to heaven. We're heaven bound, and we're victory bound.
(37:12):
And we need to believe the report of the Lord.
As Isaiah fifty three says, you know who is the
who's the Lord shown his arm to his you know,
And that's a that that that's a comment about who
is who who among you have has seen the strength
(37:32):
of the Lord's hand, you know, to bear, to pull,
to roll up your sleeve and show you his muscles.
You know. Let me just tell you, in this world,
we can see that happening. We can see blind eyes open,
healing happening. Uh. People that are that are bound up
(37:54):
in in with demonic you know, uh things, all kinds
of sicknesses, diseases, addictions, all of those things that that's
under the power of Jesus' ministry. And we have that
(38:16):
ministry today. And so expect that God will bring you
over to to show you somebody that is that is
sick in their body, and you go lay hands on them.
The scripture says, believers lay hands on the sick and
they shall recover. Believe that that's the word of God.
(38:40):
Just go lay your hands on somebody. Just just give
them a hug and pray for them and watch and
believe that they could just get healed right there in
front of you in an instant. Because God's arm is
not too short today. He hasn't those wonderful, powerful things
(39:01):
that He did have not passed away. They're still fully
in place, and the believer has the ability to do
all of them. And even more so, I do not
think that what the world has to offer you is
of any value at all, because it's just not. In fact,
(39:24):
it's going to bring doom and gloom. It's going to
make you feel hopeless. It has nothing but a bad message,
not a good message. But we have the good news.
I love that word good news, and if you look
it up in the Greek it says it's almost too
(39:45):
good to be true news, and it almost seems as
though that it's too good to be true, but it's
it is true. And we just need to believe that
God has the answer, that God wants to give us
the answer, that God has the solution, and God wants
(40:07):
to give us the solution to all things. There's nothing
impossible for him. For God nothing, and he lives in
you the same power that dwells in Jesus, same power
(40:30):
that raised him from the dead, who lives and dwells
in you, So I'll close and just pray for you
with that scripture verse, just reminding you that same power
the raised Christ from the dead lives and dwells in you.
(40:54):
You're born again, Amen, Father. I just pray for everybody
if they're not born again, but they will go to
my website and look up how to get that way,
how to get born again. If you're a believer, but
you've been just kind of pressed down by the by
(41:15):
all of the the the the problems of this world,
and you just have begin to kind of lose grip
on your faith, I just encourage you right now in
Jesus' name, brush it off, shake it off, and let
(41:35):
it fall to the ground, and grab your Bible and
start professing and saying to yourself out loud. God is
more than enough. God has my answer, and he will
reveal it for me. If I like wisdom, I'll ask
and I'll receive because he promised it. And all of
(41:58):
his promises are yes and amen, and I receive them
afresh and anew in Jesus Mighty name, Listen, be encouraged.
