with Fred Hughes Show, and we welcome you tonight. We
(00:48):
by the way, Happy Thanksgiving. This show airs on Thanksgiving
night and so may not be real well attended, but
I still wanted to get a good word out to
anybody that might be interested in this listening and and
and chiming in with us. So we want to just
give you opportunity to do that. Our website is a
(01:12):
Decision one dot award g and it it great. Website's
got a good good things that are there, and I
won't belabor that tonight, but we do encourage you to
visit there and receive the things that are available there.
There's all kinds of good information that you can capitalize
(01:38):
on while you're there, and certainly there's a way to
support our ministry and we appreciate any support that comes
our way. And also there's be a call line that
that we'll put up a little bit later on, and
that's an important number for you maybe to chot jot
down and uh, there's our There may or may not
(02:02):
be someone available on Thanksgiving night. I'm not really sure
whether I've got somebody lined up for that or not,
but nevertheless, I call that number and if you can
try to get through if we have somebody on available
that night, where we will answer the phone. If not, well,
then calls back, you know, like during the week or
(02:23):
a little bit later on for tonight. I just really
want to give you a basically, I just really want
to talk about how we can activate really divine discernment.
(02:43):
You know, there's just lots of going on right now,
and there's a lot happening in our world right now,
and you know, sometimes the holidays kind of bring out
a few of those things that some of the fears
and some of the anxieties that people have about what's
happening in our world, what's going on, what information? How
(03:08):
can we get a hold of good information and get
a hold of the truth rather than a bunch of lives,
and with Ai coming on and everything, it just seems
like every everywhere we're experiencing intervention by some entity in
(03:29):
some format or another, and so we just desperately need
to be able to discern, you know, what's going on
in our day and what is it, who is it
that's telling truth, and who is it that's not and
such important questions and every Christian needs to be asking
(03:52):
that of themselves. So and you know, it's just very
relevant stuff. In fact, Proverbs nine to ten, it says,
the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One
(04:13):
is insight and understanding. Insight and understanding, you know that
just comes from God inside and understanding true insight, the
truth spoken by God himself to your heart. That's so powerful,
so important. You know, none of us have the luxury
(04:37):
of running around the mountain, you know, a bunch of
times over and over again because we missed it. And
so we need to we need to really be getting
a word from the God and hitting the mark every
time because we just really don't have the time to
spend doing do overs, so to speak. So I think
(05:00):
I just want to encourage you tonight that you know,
it is very important that we have the ability to
step into the presence of God and hear the voice
of God, because he's going to tell us good things.
And James for six through about ten, it threw very
(05:29):
powerful stuff. And you know we're warned that you know,
God resists the arrogant and the proud, and but he
grants grace to the humble. And so really and truly,
one of the ways that we approach God is just
(05:49):
through a humble heart, and and it gives us He
will give us the answers doing he And that scripture
goes on just says, but he who gives he who
I see, but he gives more grace. Therefore, he says, God,
resist the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.
(06:12):
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will
draw near to you. Cleanse your heart, cleanse your hands
your sinners, and purify your heart. You double minded, lament
morem we let your laughter be turned in the morning,
(06:34):
and your joy to gloom. Humble yourself in the sight
of the Lord, and he will lift you up. That's
pretty powerful stuff, you know, and it does say we
need to kind of get in the right kind of
posture to be asking God to reveal to us future things.
(06:55):
But he will. He will ask God with the sincere
you're in, a humble heart and a heart, you know,
and for wisdom and enlightenment for today's issues. If if
we act in a simple and sincere way, I think
God will respond to us. God will be liberal liberal,
(07:20):
He will you know, liberally bestow upon us much needed
wisdom and much needed you know, uh, information that we
have need of knowing right now. And so I would
just kind of encourage everyone to be able to to
work work diligently at seeking the Lord. And you know,
(07:43):
it just takes a little time. It just takes a
uh you can't just run in and during a commercial
break between football games. You know, expect that God is
going to give you everything he has, you know, give
you all the information you might need. We have to
we have to humble ourselves and we have to get
(08:05):
on his timetable and get in front of him with
a with a hunt, with with with a human humble heart,
but but also with a little time to devote to
listening and and fellowshipping and learning of him. You know, uh,
(08:27):
we are I mean kind of if I can get
James one five basically just it just says, you know
that he'll give us liberally and and without really reproach
or he's not gonna shame us, he's not gonna put
us down. He's not he's not he's not disappointed when
(08:51):
we ask him for things, and uh and and and
it basically just says it will be given and and
you know, it's it's really important for us to do that.
For for you know, skillful and godly wisdom is the
(09:11):
is the principal things. That's what Proverbs for seven says
that it's because wisdom the principal thing, godly wisdom, not
not wisdom from from the world, but godly wisdom. That's
that is worthy of, you know, our time, investment of
(09:33):
our our humbling ourselves and getting before God Almighty and
letting him reveal speak to us, reveal to us the
things that we need to know. The benefits and the
blessings of you know, divine wisdom are are enormous. They
really we all need to really have that kind of
(09:54):
close contact Godly wisdom produces understanding and we which brings
you know, prosperity and favor entire life. And Uh, not
only not only do we improve our situation with God,
but we will in turn, because we possess the wisdom
(10:15):
that comes from God, we will also improve and advance
ourselves even among men, among other people. And that godly
wisdom is very, very super important. And you know, we're
in a season where wisdom can be found. I believe
(10:40):
we're in a season where God really honestly wants to
tell us what's going on. He really does want to
reveal himself. Wisdom is given to us and the understanding
of the time that we live in, and revelation for
what we should be doing right now. Uh Over in
(11:02):
First Chronicles of twelve thirty two talks about the sons
of Izakar, men who had understanding of the time to
know what Israel ought to do. Uh. To inter chiefs
were given and all of their kingsmen were under their command.
(11:24):
You know, God has a He has a He sets
up structure, He will put things into place, and he
will reveal to you and I what to do in
the in in the times like this, how to build
our business, how to you know, structure the church, how
to put our life together, how to reconcile with people,
(11:48):
how you know there's a median how to invest, how
to put our money to work where it needs to be,
how to how to how to you know, preserve our wealth.
And case there's hard times that come come come into
the scene, God can give us supernatural wisdom, you know,
to to buy some silver or gold, or to invest
(12:10):
in some land somewhere, to buy a new commercial property
or or housing or whatever it is that that God
gives you wisdom to be able to put your build
a new business. But He's got a myriad of different
ways to improve us, to advance us, and we need
(12:34):
to know those ways. We need to know straight up
from God, how to you know, advance in his wisdom,
not not ours, but in his wisdom. And so these
days that we live in there, they're intense, and they
have some strong delusions out there. Deep depression, deep deep
(12:56):
deception is all around us really, and you know, most
of humanity it's quite frankly as being duped, being deluded,
being deceived. And you know, we don't want to be
numbered among people that are falling for everything and believing
(13:17):
the enemy's lies and being drug into you know, we
the world is rushing boldly toward death and destruction because
they're listening to the wrong voices. And we need to
know how to turn in and tune in to, you know,
the God channel, so to speak, and listen to God
(13:38):
and listen to what he has to say. And so
it's just so so important, you know, Matthew seven point thirteen.
It talks about, you know, the tough times that we
actually do live in right now now, and there's been
(14:02):
those kind of times throughout mankind's history, but once again
we're we're the ones living out life right at the
moment and the true followers of Cross this Christ, the
spirit of God. He will release divine discernment and divine
(14:23):
wisdom to us if we inquire, if you know, if
we search out that wisdom, if we if we desire it,
he will give it. Said in fact, he said he'll
give it liberally if you. He said, if there's any
among you that lack wisdom, I will give you, give
it to you liberally. He will. He's it's not sparingly,
(14:47):
you know, he will give us in abundance. He will.
He's He's all about giving us the the the information
that we need. But we do have to have time,
we do have to have umble ourselves, and we do
have to invest time in with him, and we have
to pay attention to what he says. And we need
(15:08):
to be instantly obedient and not beat around the bush
about it, not to procrastinate put off things, but to
actually engage and and and move forward, you know, and
get get there quickly. It's just important. The true followers
(15:30):
of Jesus, and you know, the spirit of God, he
will be, He will, he will release divine discernment and
wisdom and even even at a higher level than you
than we have ever known before. Many many people have
(15:50):
been given great wisdom. But it doesn't mean that we
don't need more, and that we don't need more very
specific wisdom to our rate in in these times. So
you know, Daniel said, it will be the people that
that do know their God that will shine even brighter
(16:16):
and do great exploits, great exploits. I like that. That's
that come out of Daniel eleven thirty two. Great exploits.
I love that. And that's that's what we want, is
we want to do great things in the kingdom. We
want to do great things with our life, and our
God is more than able to help us with that.
(16:39):
The spirit of God, you know, state states the and
and you know an except he makes it a really
blunt statement over in Hoseiah four six. Let me if
I can get that says, my people are destroyed for
(17:00):
lack of knowledge, and so we have to pursue that knowledge.
We have to you know, get get reducts in a
row more or less, so that we can capitalize on
what he wants to share with us, what he wants
to to give to us. Scriptures is not talking about
(17:21):
you know, human knowledge, is talking about godly knowledge and uh,
you know, divine enlightenment if you will, so, uh, wisdom
from above. That's that that's where we need to That's
where we must as believers get our information. And this
season is is not a season to stumble around and
(17:44):
and and you know, get lost in the maze of humanity,
philosophy or or you know, even even in feudal studies
of the of the scripture even I mean, there's so
many things that we can so so many weeds we
(18:08):
can wander off. Then you understand what I'm saying is
there's so many opportunities. You know, you can get on
your phone and scroll for hours and you wake up
and you just and you go, like, guys, what do
I do with all my time? You know? I wasted?
Have the afternoon here, you know, and and uh, you know,
we all have those little distractions and and uh, things
(18:31):
that that absolutely just are thiefs of our time. And
uh and we just we just don't need to fall
for a lot of these things that that that the
devil has planned for us, because it's it's it's it's
unnecessary for us to be able to to get there
and to do those things. But let me just let
(18:54):
me just you know, have you to turn over to John.
I should put this up on the screen, but I
don't have that ready to go. So I'm just going
to give you a scripture here because it's a really
important one, John sixteen thirteen. And I'm gonna this is
kind of King James, but it's also out of the
(19:15):
amplified so it reads a little bit different. I'm not
going to put all the little inserts in there. Says,
but when he the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit,
the truth giving Spirit, okay comes Whenever he comes he
(19:35):
will guide you into all truth. I mean, you know,
all truth. I like that word all. It's a pretty
inclusive word. Amen. And so you know it's the whole truth,
the full truth, the entirety of the truth comes from God,
didn't come from man. For he will not speak on
(19:58):
his own he are on his own authority, He won't
He the Holy Spirit is very subservient to the Father,
and he's only going to speak what a father tells
him to speak. And so we can trust that voice
because we know that it's not not even not even
(20:18):
God himself, you know, in the Holy Spirit will allow
himself just you know, to to go flippidly along. He's
he keeps his own words in perfect order. And uh,
you know he will announce and declare to you the
(20:41):
things that are to come, that will happen in the future.
That is a powerful power. That last that last phrase
is extremely important for our day. And it says he
will announce and declare to you the things that are
(21:03):
to come. Man. Wow, all I can say is super well,
God himself is willing to, through the Holy Spirit, share
with us things that are going to happen in the future,
so that we will know. So that we will be
prepared so that we can be obedient to do what
(21:23):
He's called us to do and play the part that
we're called to play in this very important hour of
humanity and mankind and all of these things. It's just wow,
it's really important. So as the entire world grows ever darker,
(21:48):
as God children, we need to be able to shine. Really,
we need to have the light of God the n
usd we have. We need the enlightenment of the Holy
Spirit that can shine in the In the New Testament,
(22:10):
it is that they they took note of Jesus' disciples,
and they could tell they were unlearned men. But they
could tell even even the Deciducees and Pharisees, the learned
of the day, they could tell that they that they
had been with Jesus because they were saying things that
(22:34):
they really it was above is above their educational level.
They were operating on a new on a new frame,
a supernatural frame that that really baffled the learned of
the day. And listen, that's the kind of information you need,
(23:00):
godly information, heavenly information, information for the now. Information like
the sons of Zikr had. They knew they discerned the
time that they were in, and they also had the
wisdom and the knowledge to know what to do in
the time that they lived in. That's us, That's who
(23:21):
we need to be. That's exactly the answer that the
world is looking for. But they look in all the
wrong places. And yet we have the ability to tap
into it if we take the time, if we humble ourselves,
and if we position ourself in obedience an instant response
(23:46):
to what the Holy Spirit is leading us to do.
So I just hope that is an encouraging word for
you tonight. It's impossible for the natural mind and to
have the fault of God. Uh, it's gonna it's going
to be influenced by by the flesh, by the carnal mind,
(24:10):
by by the opinion of others, and all of these things.
But if we if we tap into the mind of Christ,
we can avoid all of that, and we can go
right straight to the truth, and we can operate in
the strength and the power of the truth of God,
and we can always measure it against against the word
(24:31):
of God. We always you know, anything that you hear
the Holy Spirit say, it will always line up with
the with with the written word uh, And that's how
you can verify it. That's how you can know that
it's true. That's how you can you know, know exactly
that what's what's going on. I love Paul. He's he
(24:54):
He had a little segment in there and he was
just telling you know, the people how how he operates.
He says it says, you know. And my speech and
my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom,
(25:15):
but in demonstration of the spirit and of power. How
you know. It wasn't head knowledge, it wasn't learned knowledge.
That it was revealed knowledge coming from the Holy Spirit,
from the heart of God. And it was and it
(25:37):
had the force of supernatural power behind it. Wow, that
is what you and I can walk in. And that
is exactly what you and I need to be walking
in because these days are are difficult and we need
to have, you know, the best information we can. And
(26:01):
the good news is we have it. We can tap
into it. God is not holding it back or are
keeping it from us. He is He is careful to
reveal it, to give it to us. And if we
just if we just tap in, we can't. So how
(26:21):
much better is it to get skillful and godly wisdom
than gold. And to get understanding is to be chosen
rather than silver. That's proverb sixteen, verse fifteen and sixteen.
(26:43):
You know, gold is four thousand dollars an ounce right now,
so that's pretty valuable, I would say. And yet it
says this, to get a hold of the wisdom that
God has for you and I is more valuable than
that by long shot. To tap into what God, the
(27:08):
revelation and the enlightenment that God has available and wants
us to have. He wants to hand it to us,
and he wants us to walk in that kind of
power and revelation in our life right now. And he
calls it even so much better than silver, or what
(27:30):
more more valuable than silver? Org more more important? And
you know, without a real relationship with Jesus Christ, mankind
kind can never find that true wisdom. It's just not
available to you know, anybody unless you've tapped into the
(27:56):
right source. You know, the greatest textbook and operations manual
that has ever been given to mankind is, you know,
on the subject of life, is the Holy Bible, is
(28:17):
the Scripture. It is God breathe into those scriptures in
their life to us and so if you're a believer,
I'm just telling you, you know, like Psalms one nineteen
uh nine through about eleven says, you know, take take
(28:38):
time each day to get into the Psalms, to get
into especially I love, I love the Proverbs. Take take
a little time to go in there and really do
find something to feed your soul with every every day.
I mean, you put that information in and Holy Spirit
(29:01):
begins to bring revelation out of it. And so you know,
we can take it in in a normal fashion, but
but God can do something in our heart, it says,
you know, as a man thinketh, so is he. And
you know it's like whatever out of the abundance of
the heart, the Word says, the mouth speaks. And so
(29:24):
if we're full of the Word, if we've been putting
you know, Psalms and and and Proverbs and reading some
of the some of the New Testament, the New Testament,
you know, life of of the Church, and watching learning
of learning of of of gods and what He's what
He what he shared to the New Testament Church, especially
(29:48):
in and to you know, and handing us the wisdom
of the Old Testament, and and and the Psalms and
all that. You know, if we're filling ourselves with that it,
it's gonna come up, it's gonna impregnate us our and
it's going to come up out of our mouth. And
(30:10):
what we what we confess with our mouth, we start
to have, we start to like seed. We go, we
plant seed, and we begin they start sprouting up and
and life comes up out of them and and things
get produced out out of that activity. And so you know,
(30:30):
just just just take time to plug in and feed
yourself from that heavenly manna that comes from the Word
of God and then get around some other Christian believers
and stir one another up to good works and and
to to live life instead of scrolling our snapchatting or
(30:56):
whatever whatever we get into. You know, it's it a
lot of those things we could push aside and choose
the better thing that will improve us, that will build us,
or will build in turn the Kingdom of God, so
that we can be the ones that do the great exploits.
(31:17):
Because we've spent time with Jesus, we've invested ourselves, we've
humbled ourself, we've stepped away from the world and we
got in front of the one that made it and
we'll learn of him. So God bless you and Jesus' name,
eat a lot of turkey, have a lot of fun
(31:39):
with your family and uh. But but don't be afraid
to stand in the in the word of God, to
embrace and find out that wisdom that He wants us
to walk in. So be blessed, give thanks, and He'll
(32:00):
give you the wisdom of the future that you need
to know. God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving. Bye buy me.
