Hello, Yes, this is the Falcon speaking. Oh is that?
I'm glad you called.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Now.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
I'm going to stay in Paris for a while. In June,
I'm about to prove fifty million frenchmen can be wrong
when it comes to murder once again. The transcribed Adventures
of the Falcon starring Less Damon. The Adventures of the
Falcon dedicated to private investigators everywhere, those hard hitting detectives
(02:53):
who like Mike Wearing, risk their lives to aid law
enforcement agencies. So join him now. When the Falcon solved
the case of the Menacing Mamselle, the boy who said
(03:16):
good Americans when they die go to Paris must be wrong.
Here I am in the city of light and very
much alive. Still didn't never know the French cab drivers
don't get me. There's always a chance someone like Jerry
Carlier will. Mister Carlia is a good looking citizen who
just checked into the pancon on the Rue de Belleville.
Obviously he doesn't believe in traveling lights. That's a cold
(03:37):
forty five he's packing. It may look small, but the
sure holds a lot of lead.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Oh is it because he's monsieur?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Now?
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Who are you called the janitor?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
It's the second where the devil can I put? Okay,
come in bogere, mister Collier, Hi, permit me to introduce myself.
I am a mel Dedero. Well no, yeah, mail. If
there is anything I can do to make your stay
here enjoyable, you have but to command me. Thanks. I'll
(04:09):
remember that there is says so much to of her
and you. She has seen the pantheon several times. Well,
if miss is not interested in dead frenchmen, perhaps live
French women would be more to his life. Look, emele,
I'm busy. I could introduce him to a very charming
thatmoiselle named you're at you don't see who's that name again?
You're at Jubel. She works as a model in Rue
(04:30):
de la Pey. She wouldn't be from the hat savoy.
Monsieur knows her. Yeah, what an amazing coincidence. Give me
that you know? I was looking for my word, mister Collier,
what'd you do? Go through my luggage? Pardeau, I asked,
just something. Missie is very free with his hands. How
do you know I was looking for my mother? Was
a gipsy? Don't get gay? He went through my diary,
(04:53):
didn't you? Yes, monsieur? Where she lives? Commier Male, I'm
not planning. Where does this Flaretto val live.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
She has a flat in the Police Devon number twenty
seven and right off the Grand Boulevard on the east side.
And yes, like s latter, Mail has been a great help. Yes,
she has such a possiful personality. I could hardly be otherwise.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve him again.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
She's looking for someone, Yes, an English gentleman with a monocle.
Never mind, I see him a mischievo, my dear meal,
won't you careful? Brandy in some caria, remember of the
Polo Tariot. Your tastes are surprisingly exotic. Oh my goss,
very good, Michievo. How did go immune? Perfectly? I wouldn't
(05:53):
judge so from your appearance. These bruises. I merely indicator
where I played my part with mister Collier. He has
no idea how you knew he was looking for flu
Rec Duval. No, he thought I ran across an entry
in his town. Naturally, I said nothing to contradict it.
You amaze me and me I do may how can
a man with your talent be satisfied with being a concier.
(06:14):
I'm only too happy to serve the party wherever they
think this? And I suppose one hundred thousand francs I
promised to you to us two hundred thousand, Missie, I'm
quite sure I said one hundred perhaps, But I am
sure you would not wish me to go back to
miss your curlier and tell him how I knew he
was looking for a Flaret Juvan. In my country they
call that blackmail. Who ad co incidents, Miss you influence,
(06:34):
they call it blackmail too. I like you, Emir, and
I'm very fond of you, misschie Val. You brandy monsieur Ah,
You're just in time, all right? A meal let's drink
to our perfect understanding. May mister Collier find his meeting
with Floret du Val as profitable.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Mm am amongst people theyretta val.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
I'm Jerry Callier.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Jerry Collier.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Doesn't my name mean anything to you?
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Of course you have the American who is going out
with Gigi.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
No, I'm going out with you.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
I do not understand.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I'll make it real easy. Mind if I sit.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Down, monsieur, I'm expecting companies.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
This won't take long. During the war, you lived in
Nancy and Oats Savoy, right, why do you ask? Believe me?
I got a good reason. You like to see it
very much. Well, what do you think of this?
Speaker 4 (07:41):
What?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Why the gun? You never heard the name Jerry Callier before?
H No, maybe you'd be more familiar with my brothers.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Your brother's name.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
He had to bail out over occupied France during the war.
He landed in Oats Savoy. He was befriended by a
family named de Vao. That. Yeah, they hit him from
the Nazis. But what I forgot to mention was that
they had a daughter. She was a mercenary young thing.
For a small consideration, she turned them over to the Gestapo.
Guess what her name was, Give up? It was Florette.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
And you think I who told you that?
Speaker 6 (08:19):
Maurice Lafarge, I do not know any such post. Well
he knows you, all right, honey, anytime you're ready.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
No, no, no, you are making a mistake.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
What are you're complaining about. You're gonna have it a
lot easier than my brother. He was tortured. First.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I swear I am not the same girl. Are you kidding?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Monsieur does not understand. Duval is a very common name
in France. It is like like Smith in your country.
There were a hundred they know, sub don't kid me that.
I can't prove it. You said your brother Paul was
befriended by this girl's family. Well, well I have none.
I am an orphan. I was raised at the convent
that Chamoni there on the wall.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
You can see my diploma. And why was I told
for at the hours in Paris?
Speaker 3 (09:02):
And she may be did you ever think to consult
the directory? They are all the fifty.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
I should have thought of that. But when a mill
he mean Meil Didero. He's a concierge at the Ponton
where I'm staying. When he mentioned your name. I jumped
to the wrong conclusion. All I can say is I
was stupid.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
When you have said it.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Now go believe me.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I'm sorry, operator, I've pin Santois. Hello, Jacques flor Duval.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (09:40):
I thought you might be interested. I just entertained a
young American named Jerry Collier. Well, but entertained is not
the right word.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
He was going to kill me? And did you take
yourself out of it?
Speaker 3 (09:53):
You know how inventive I can be.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I'll take care of Missie Collier immediately.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
You better. I should hate to play this little scene again.
Next time we might not have a happy ending.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Yeah, oh you Jerry Carter. That's right. My name is
Mike Wearing. I just moved in next door. My name
NICs because here has told me there was a fellow
American on this floor, saidan thanks. Frank Wearing never says no.
Did you say your name was Mike Wearing? Uh huh.
(10:41):
It seems to me I heard of you in the States,
aren't you? Was a private detective they call the falcon
not so loud. I uh, I wonder if you could
help me out. I look at un tails making like
a bird dog. I'm afraid not. I've quit the racket.
It has to be a cinch. I'm looking for a
girl named for let the vow. It's like looking for
John's in New York. And so I learned the hard way.
(11:02):
I ran into one of them this afternoon, almost got
myself in a gym. You know what happened. It's a long,
dull story. Well, I don't mind, as long as your
brandy holds up well. During the war, my brother wound
up in the hands of the Castapo thanks to a
Floretta val I got a tip she was in Paris
and living in the pollusta wrong lucky She was the
wrong girl. Lucky for whom. Huh, I see you're packing
(11:26):
a gun.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
Yeah, if she.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Hadn't done some fast talking that John Diarmes might be
hunting a killer tonight. Obviously she was the wrong girl. Yeah,
she couldn't possibly have known Paul. She was brought up.
Wait a minute, she knew his name was Paul. You
probably told her No, I just referred to him as
my brother. She was the one who came up with
a name. Look, hell, you know what do you know?
(11:50):
She was the right Flarette de val after all? Sorry,
wearing I got a run, and where do you think
you're going? Correct a mistake I made her? Ought to
be your mind. Be a good kid and stay out
of this. If you think I'm gonna let you walk
out of here and commit murders, exactly what I think.
I get out of my way. Don't be a fool.
Car you're going to get out of my way. Give
me that gun? Okay, all right, fellow, Yes, to give
(12:11):
it to you. I hope that's what you had in mind. Hello,
if I had a pleasure.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Of speaking to Monsieur Robervon.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
We had your idea of pleasure.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
This is a meal, missie Von.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I thought perhaps you might be interested in the latest developments.
Always you are prepared to pay for them. Remember the
party a meal? You show a sordid interesting money, and.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
I am afraid you are right. Shall we say another
two hundred thousand.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Fans, let's hear your information first way.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
A short while ago, I heard a disturbance in Monsieur
Collier's room. When I went to investigate, I discovered a
new tenant there in Monsieur way.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
He was on the floor, unconscious, swearing chapter. His first
name wouldn't be Michael, you know him. We met in
Vienna last week. He's an American agent CTLE team. Is
he still unconscious? Yes? It might serve our purpose just
as well if he never came to I do not understand.
Of course you do it me. You would be fairly
(13:19):
simple to manage. Two Americans indulged in a drunken brawl.
One leaves. He was found later by the gendarmes with
a knife in his chest. MISSU makes it sound lout equal,
but you you cannot expect all this for two hundred
thousand francs. You'll be serving a party.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Please do not think unkindly of me. But I prefer
to serve myself.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Huh, you're a man out of my own heart. Shall
we say half a million francs? When would I collect?
We'll not worry, I mute, You'll get hit, You get
everything that's coming to you. Let's attend to mister wearing
(14:08):
all right, a maile? Oh what do you think you're doing? Mischi?
Wayang you you started me? Yes, I meant to What
have you got behind your back? Nothing? It must see
that no by you, this is nothing. I can explain
the name you better. I heard a disturbance in mister
Collier's room. I thought there might be thieves present. Naturally,
I can't prepare to defend myself. Well, that's not bad
(14:31):
for Nedlin. Missou does not believe me? What a question?
How long go to call?
Speaker 4 (14:36):
You?
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Leave? Perhaps twenty minutes? You suppose he went over to
see for Red du Val? Have you read you?
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Then?
Speaker 2 (14:43):
I do not know the name issue. I've got to
hunt you know it real well, I don't understand. I'll
make sure to explain it later. But now I've got
to call the mate. Get me a cab. I'll be
down in a minute. Yeah, I'd like to see Flora
(15:08):
du Val. But of course, whom shall I say? Is
calling Mike Wearing? Just follow me please? You are a
friend of Mademoiselle du Want, And you might say, then
what if you will just step in here? All right?
What's the idea you wish to see Floread Duvall? Is that? Yes?
(15:33):
Can I left the blanket? Allow me? Yes?
Speaker 6 (15:40):
It isn't very pretty easynessure?
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh hardly?
Speaker 6 (15:45):
Well, A forty five caliber cold does a great deal
of damage.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
He must have been lovely.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
You say that as though you had never seen her
in life.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
I didn't yet, you claim to be her friend. Well,
only in a manner of speaking.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
Tell met me to introduce my I am George mar
You're the prefect of police own nothing so impressive. I'm
maybe a small will in the machinery of justice. It
would correspond to sergeant in your country. What do you
know of her murder?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Nothing? Yet it comes as no surprise to you.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
Well, I heard someone threaten him and the gentleman's name.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
What makes you think it was a man? We have
his fingerprints. Now, look, Mara, this isn't the simple as
a samson.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
I am afraid I must insist, Monsieur the gentleman's name
Jerry Carlier Mercy. It maybe illustrates the harmony that exists between.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Our two countries.
Speaker 6 (16:41):
I supplied the victim and you supplied the killer. Believe me,
Monsieur France is forever in your death.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
And now back to the adventures of the Falcon. Now
it merely goes to show that Americans ought to hang
together on foreign shores. I'm sure Jerry Carlia felt that way,
especially after I arranged for him to hang alone. The
next three hours a kind of hectic. First, Myra took
(17:27):
me down to the Prefecture of police in the Palaisi
Justice where I saw how the French do it. And
you know something, they do it just like us. In
five minutes, they had a dragnet out for Jerry Cardy,
but I guess they weren't looking in the right places.
But when I got back to my room and the poser,
the phone was sounding off and I picked it up,
I was surprised to hear an American accent. After all,
it was a French phone. Yeah, I don't have to
(17:49):
ask who this is. You're a hot buster and I
guess I can thank you for that. Well, I couldn't
help myself.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Listen wearing I swear I didn't kill that girl. You
gotta believe me.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Were you now near the bridge the ghost left bank
next to Notere Dame Cathedral. It's miracles we haven't been
picked up yet. And look, do you know Vera's bar
on the Boulevard de Capuscine. Why well, don't ask questions.
Just go there and ask for Vera. She'll take care
of you. I'll be buying twenty minutes. Noah, don't you worry, honey.
(18:28):
Any friend of Mike's is a friend of mine. Thanks Sarah.
Did he ever tell you about the time right after
the war when the two of her. No, no, no, Angel,
you're telling tales out of school. Oh well, I suppose
you two lugs want to be alone. Huh well, I'd
appreciate it and listen to Vera. If a gendarme should
drop around.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
I don't know from nothing.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
That's my girl.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
If you want anything, just holla.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
This is worrying. How well do you know the Dame Zarah?
She's a legend here. You're sure you can trust her?
You're missing the point, caller. The question is can we
trust you? Hey? Tell you I didn't kill Flourette. You're
on your way over. When I last saw you, she
was dead. When I got there, I didn't even go
in the room. I just opened the door and that
was enough. Did you know that Florett du Vaal worked
for the underground during the war. She still gave my
brother away? What did you pick that up? A man
(19:12):
named Maurice Blanc told me he lives an oat Savoy
and knew the whole story. Tall have you set character
the hand Obambaster? Yes, he's a Commie agent. What difference
does that make? Look, Kylie, I try to get this
through your head. Flourette Duval was planted in the Communist
Party by people who must be nameless. So so the
comrades discovered it and decided to liquidator. That's where you
came in, and I'll get you. Well, you were walking
(19:33):
around France ready to commit murder, so they planted a
bug in your ear. That Florette was the party were
looking for. You mean, she had nothing to do with
my brother's death, nothing at all. How do you know
so much about this? I was assigned to protector. You
think it was an accident. I moved into the same
pancon with you. I can't believe it, so you better.
They just intended to use you as an execution there
(19:54):
who told you Florette lived in the pelousta rom the
concierge at the Passion Emil, Yes, I know you were
looking for it. I keep a diary. He claimed he
saw it there. He was lying. He's a Communist agent too.
They just led you around by the nose. I'll get
him for this. Haven't you learned your lesson yet? You
said that once before. I'm sorry, Well you should be now, youly,
(20:14):
brother Emil to me, Hello, I'm miss you. Worry mind
if I come in. He was just leaving. I won't
(20:36):
keep you long. I guess you heard about mister Callier
by this time. He claims you told him where he
could find Florida du Vao. Me, miss you all right,
let's stop playing games. Amy. You're working for the comrades,
with your job to see Carlia located at Florida do Vao.
You are mistaken. How do you take your orders from
Robert Vaughan out a humble concierge. He come in turn
(20:58):
if you, but you'd do know? He stands high and
come in the circles. One reads the papers, monsieur, one might,
but one never saw it there. Mister Vaughan hates's publicity
in Paris. I do not know what mossieur is talking about.
What would you for a thousand dollars? Now? Missie is
talking my language. Where is the money? I'll have it
(21:20):
for you in an hour, they din Now, I shall
be glad to assist you. Where miss you wearing? I
look forward to your return? Oh? No, is you worrying?
(21:40):
Happy to you? What are you doing here?
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Marah?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
I shouldn't ask that of a police official. Please do
where's the mill? Where would you naturally expect to find him.
Is that the same blanket you used to cover for
re duval.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
Alas Monsieur francis poor, We must be economical.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Can I see him? Oh? I insist on it. No,
I know what they mean when I say right between
the eyes? Was that the same gun? Monsieur is in
the best position to know? What are you getting at?
Ask yourself this question.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
In the last twelve hours, there have been two murders
in Paris, and each time you appear on the scene.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
How do you account for it? Just lucky?
Speaker 6 (22:20):
I guess, yes, But no one's luck can last forever.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
May I see your hands? Now? Look here? Please oblige
me like you're looking for powder mar accents? Yes, monsieur.
What's the idea of the handcuffs? Merely a precaution.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
You seem to know Paris so well it might occurred
to you to take French leave.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Shall we go? Now back to the adventures of the Falcon.
(23:08):
If you're planning a trip to Paris this summer, let
me tip you off about the Palais of justice, go
out of your way to miss it. France is no
place to see through iron bars. One look convinced me.
I ought to tell Mara about my work as an
American agent. He was properly impressed. He found the embassy.
I see, I must have told him plenty question, all
of it bad? Well, I'm very much obliged for your health.
Speaker 6 (23:32):
Well, it will no doubt come as a shock to you,
miss your wedding, that your embassy owed.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Nothing of my activities. They warned me if I got
into a jam and I have to get myself out. Ah,
what tipity? Look, I tell you I didn't kill Amil Didero,
no flurred duval? I suppose no? Then who do you
think did? Why don't you ask Vaughan father, Robert Vaughan.
He's the one who made the wheels go. Emil was
working for him, then why should he kill him? Emil
(23:58):
was going to sell him out. We only pick him up,
but we already have.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Unfortunately we were compelled to release him.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
He had an excellent alibi. Oh sure he was at
the Soviet embassy when Amile was killed. Oh did you
get I'm psychic? You don't believe him, do you? Well?
Can you prove that he is lying? Wait a minute,
maybe I can, But I'm going to need Jerry Collier's help,
Unfortunately that raises a problem. Oh no it doesn't. You
know where Monsieur Collier is. I ought to. I took
(24:27):
him there, get a car, and I'll do as much
for you, my honey. Excuse me, tellers, I got to
(24:48):
say hello to an old friend.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
However, what have they done it?
Speaker 2 (24:50):
It's sweetie wether thing. Look you're trying to start a
new fad with those iron bracelets. Forget it. I don't
think it'll catch on. Oh Ver, this is Inspector Mara,
the Prefecture, Madam.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
Likewise, I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
We've come for Jerry Carlier. And why you know the boy? Yeah,
I know he's turning him in. I don't have much choice.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
Well, they say you.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Learned something new every day, but this is kind of
a shock. I never took you for a rat. I'm sorry,
angel Is. He's still in the back, all right, Mara,
let's go. You friend seems dizziludion. I can't say I
blame her here, Yeah at you vera, Oh it's me Carlon.
(25:35):
Who's hey? The cop? Why you? I couldn't help myself.
They had me pegged as the killer. Yo. Yes, I
guess I'm selfish, but I'm kind of attached to this
neck of mine, and I'd hate to give it up
to the gillotine correction as you we hang you now,
not me. Carlia is going to bail me out. Ah.
Remember telling you about that Robert Vaughan character and the commie. Yeah,
(25:57):
it now develops he has a cast iron alibi. I
get this. He claims he was at the Soviet embassy
when a meal was killed. I mean a mail concierge.
Uh huh, when did that happen? Well, if you don't know,
no one does. And for all, you murdered him. You
know what you're saying? I think so you're out of
your mind. Where's my motive? You felt he was responsible
for your killing? For a duvo, and I suppose he was.
(26:20):
That's crazy. I told you she was dead when I
got there. Yeah, that's what you told me. You also
said you didn't go into her apartment the second time?
Why didn't? I just stood in the doorway? Then how
could you see the body? It was in the bedroom.
You see my point five? Will get your ten. You
still got the gun on him. You're done right, all right?
Both of you stay where you are, gonna be a fool.
Card you let me have it. You asked four once before.
(26:41):
Remember what happened? Yeah, but I think your lucks run out.
I'm warning her shoot weary. It's all right, man, He
wouldn't dare shoot no getting fire?
Speaker 6 (26:50):
Yes, but mine will? Shall I demonstrate? Or will you
take my word for it? I cannot get over richiness.
(27:14):
You were in such.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Fortitude, such courage.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
I have never seen the lack.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Of it in my life. Who are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (27:21):
You?
Speaker 6 (27:22):
The way you walked up to Collier when he had
that gun pointed director at you.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Was most impressive. There's nothing mar nothing, he calls it.
I know wherever I speak? How many shows does I call?
Forty five? Hole sees? How many sluck? Did you find?
Speaker 4 (27:38):
Any?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Meal? Three D in fluid? The same number there you are,
three and three make sics A. Your callier's gunn had
to be empty, but he could have reloaded after the murders. Huh.
But of course, with your.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Knowledge of criminal psychology, you figured on that.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
You want to know something I never even thought of it.
Good Night inspect then.
Speaker 6 (28:04):
But.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Welcome back in this new era of the Falcon as
a Cold War operative, everything is going well for him
except the Cold War operating part, and it's not really
his fault. It just seems that Robert Vaughan has had
his wheels spinning and is developing and playing out his plans,
(28:40):
and the Falcon is just being since places a bit
too late in the process. Jerry had been played and
developed by the Communist as a tool for a long time,
although the Falcon being more aggressive with Jerry from the
get go may have helped. I do like that we
have a recurring I was kind of nervous for a
(29:02):
while when I was hearing Ralph Bell that we just
hear Ralph Bell playing a lot of different Communist Party leaders,
you know, like in every country there would be a
different Communist Party leader who just happened to be played
by Ralph Bell. But I'm glad we have the same
sort of villain coming back week after week. Hope that continues,
(29:24):
and of course you want the Falcon to eventually defeat him.
And I also like the French police officer. His put
down was the cleverest we'd had in months from the
police foil. Was that Chuck Webster doing a French accent?
I wonder, well, now we turn to listener comments and
feedback and we start with a question I got regarding
(29:47):
the case of the Dirty Dollar and Sam Urns, who
played Johnny Stone. I'm sorry, I don't really know. I
went back and listened and it felt like I should
have reconniz the voice of the actor, but I just don't.
It is really hard to tell with New York radio
(30:07):
actors because so many programs just end up going uncredited.
And I'm not perfect with Hollywood programmers, but there are
a good number that I can make out. It's a
lot trickier with New York just because there are so many.
I have no idea who's in the episode. Well, now
it's time to think our Patreon supporter of the day,
(30:31):
and I want to go ahead and think Damien. Damien's

Speaker 5 (31:16):
One moment, one moment please, Miss Beaton, Doctor Swan, can
you remember what you did see as you looked into study?
I wasn't in the study, and I did not say
you were in study? I said, what did you see
in study? I didn't even look into study, mister Ryder.
What have you to say to that?
Speaker 2 (31:37):
You must have forgotten?
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Doctor.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
I saw you looking into the study and you turned
and went down to the living room.
Speaker 7 (31:42):
You must be mistaken, rider.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
I did not look into study, mister Sheriff. Yes, inspector,
my request, did you take Miss Beaton to study? I
will join you in a two minutes?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Sure thing, Come on less, miss pet.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
You are not going to tell me, doctor Swan, mister
Ryder was entirely mistaken. I don't know what you're driving up.
You are not going to say that you were never
near study.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
That is exactly what I'm going to say. I'm sorry, writer,
but you were mistaken or else you were trying to
put the plane for the murder on my shoulder. Don't
be a fools one. Why should I say I saw you.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
If I didn't.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Please. Please, gentlemen, remember that he who would throw stones
his first reflect upon safety of his own houses.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Black.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
