Speaker 3 (00:31):
She Welcome to the grill Out from the heart of
William West, Virginia.

Here's your host, Hollywood Chef Petty. Welcome, ladies, getawa to
the Grill Out, Episode seventy seven.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I am joined by my illustrious.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Ladies and gentlemen. We have an important announcement to make.
I am Jason Likens, the Reflection of Perfection, the advocate
for Jason Likens, the Reflection of Perfection. Right next to
me is Josh Cole Babe. But more importantly than that,
Demolition Acts and Smash and to a much lesser extent,
Crush will not be going into the twenty twenty five
(01:13):
WWE Hall of Fame because the tag team of the
Year will be the Natural Disasters Earthquake, John Tinta and
Typhoon Fred Opman. That's right, the shock Master. The shock
Master is going in the Hall of Fame before Demolition.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yes, yes, you get okay.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
So where Jason was not here last week, you could
tell he's got a lot of things he wants to say.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Demolition Acts and smash Yes. Were they the TMU Legion
of Doom? Yes? But did they take that and make
it their own thing? Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah some backside, Jeff, you be quiet.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Let Josh talk about the tag team title Reign of Demolition.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
It was the longest, pretty original world tag Team championship.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Good job, thanks, Josh, Jeff take it away.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Does he come out as a shock Master?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
I hope. I hope he comes out as the shock
Master and he falls you hear the fret. I hope
you follow. You're a very sweet nice man. People love you.
I love you, tug boat tooted. But I hope you
come out as the Shockmaster. I hope you bring the helmet.
That's great, the affliction Stormtrooper helmet helmet of Oh my
life is so tough that I have to bedazzle my
(02:38):
shirt and my pants ah flising ooh and I'm so tough.
I have pdazzle my stuff. But on Stormtrooper helmet, Fred
Atman toot.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Toot oh, Jayson. That was two minutes of just fear
Gold that you just put out.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, everybody happy to be back.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yes, the Natural Disasters are going into the ww Hall
of Fame class of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Now well, well, also, congratulations Natural Disasters.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yes, yes, John Titta and Fred Otman, they were inductive
to the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
They will join Michelle McCool, next.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Luger, and Triple h in this Hall of Fame class
so far, and yes, the Shockmaster is going into the
Hall of Fame technically, So I'll.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Tell you who's not going in yet, Mandy Rose. So
I got a question for you both. What constitutes a
double champion?
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Somebody that has two championship?
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, I would say someone who has two belts. Would
you like to elaborate on that. Yeah. If if you
have two belts, like let's say the heavyweight in the Intercontinental,
I'd say that's a double champion. If you have I'd
even say the women's and a tag team, that is
a double champion.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yes, and all other answers are stupid idiot.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Well, would you consider a unification a double champion?
Speaker 2 (04:01):
No? No, No, it's a unify. You're unifying two belts
into one.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
There you go, Mandy Rose, you can shut.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Up, wow child.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
I I was on my high horse about demolition and
Josh is over here throwing punches at Mandy Rose. She
threw him first, Josh.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Josh is over there, like I am, I am the
belt expert, and you knowledge.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I mean, I was sitting here and the whole time
I felt Josh building up. I thought he was upset
about demolition, not going to No, he's mad at Mandy Rose.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
So there's a there's a sect of social media who
are upset that w W has been calling Stephanie Baker
the first n x t women's double champion because she
is yeah, and they're like, no, Mandy Rose did at first. No,
she unified the title. The nx t UK title was
immediate retire. She's not even recognized as the final x
t UK women's champion. But because she held two physical championships,
(04:59):
they're the people are like, no, she was the first
double champion. Mandy Rose is clapbacks like, yeah, it doesn't
matter about your semantics. I did hold two belts. Shut up, Mandy.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
And on top of that, like so the Stephanie Backer thing,
these belts are on the same show.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
And she actually defends them, Yes, and she just recognizes both.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yes, it's not like you are because with the nxt
UK and the many Row situation, that's two totally different promotions.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Pretty I'm gonna stop this argument right here, okay, because
it doesn't matter how many belts you hold, how cool
you think you are, you are never Ultimo Dragon holding
every belt ever mare at the same time levels of cool.
So I don't care if you're Mandy Rose, I don't
care if you're Becky two belts. You are not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
And I'll even throw it out there. Kenny Omega, the
belt collector.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Yeah, Kenny Omega, you're not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
And you know, I feel like he'd be the type
person that would like, No, I am not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
You know who else is not Ultimo Dragon? Me Eddie Guerrero,
Dominic Mysterio, Hulk, Hogan Eland Americano, Chad Gable, Andre the
Giant next week Pinta. He is also not Ultimo Dragon.
(06:18):
You know who Altimo Guerrero not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You know who else is not Ultimo Dragon?
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Bred Upman.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
John Sena is not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
And speaking of John Sena, he did another heel promo
this past week, and I think he listens to the
show because I'm sorry some of the things. It's like,
you know, I'm going to ruin wrestling. You get, you
get nothing, you get all the John do you listen
to our show like I feel like I feel like
he's taking notes, Like you know, I'm going to listen
(06:53):
to this one wrestling radio show in the state of
West Virginia.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
The worst wrestling radio show and all of West Virginia.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
And by the fault, the best wrestling show and all
of all.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
We have koung Fu Mice.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Throwback for you Westernia State graduates.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
Is Bester will be because we are the only ones
raise him up.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Johnson Upstani this week with his promo by saying that
the fans have nothing but WWE and that is sad.
We are quote rats in a cage. He said he
is going to ruin wrestling by winning his seventeenth world
title and retiring with it. He will also make people
forget the name Rick Flair because and Ric Flair's had
some issues with that.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Cody comes out and says.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Lay's the title in front of Sena for him to take,
and instead Sena leaves the ring.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Brett Hart, Sean Michaels lead up. All of these are
wrestlers who are not Ultimo Dragon. I have a list
right here.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Did you literally google I was not Ultimate dresslers who
are not.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Ultimo dreason they made the list?
Speaker 3 (08:09):
They did, Chris Jericho, you just made the list.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Oh Jesus Ah.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
But yeah, no, John said, cut another another heel prom
He didn't. He didn't make a child almost cry this time,
which is I guess a step up.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
The child still likes him.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
You know, there's there's still people that are going to
buy John Cena merch.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I mean, it's it's kind of a day in ah. No, No,
I didn't say he's like I understand he's in character.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
I still love him. He's still my hero, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
You know, here's the thing. Let's say that it's not
a work that John Cena legitimately hates his fans. He's shooting.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
He shooting from the head.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
People are still gonna love and that's fine. You know,
I loved him as a peacemaker. So if he came
out out to the peacemaker theme and did the dance,
that'd be fine. If he came out with a bald
eagle named eagerly. I'd be I'd be thrilled. You know, uh,
controversial opinion. I don't know if it's a controversial opinion
or not. Johnson is a better actor than The Rock. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
I'm sorry for all of you out there that now
are getting your pitchforks and torches ready for me.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
The Rock plays the same character in every single Dye
you're wrong, Dave Batista, that's Dave Batista.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yea, listen, you both are wrong, Hu Cogan. Mister Nanny
was a work of art.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
It was cinema, wasn't it cinema?
Speaker 3 (09:39):
The fact that in the opening of Mister Nanny, he's
on Hogan is on his hardly driving down the road,
and in the background at the beach, you see a
man throw a dog in the water. What look it up?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
You really in the movie?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Yes? You know who also loved the water, Doug Boat.
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I can't tell if Jason is like excited that the
natural disasters are going at or if he's disappointed.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
I almost bought the wrestle Buddies from Fred Oppman.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
I sent you all the listing and you were like, oh,
why are they so expensive? I was like, look who
it is. It is Fred. It is literally Typhoon selling these.
I could have met him. I should have done it.
I should have I should have done it.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
You would have met a future WWE Hall of Famer
if you did.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Don't forget. Don't forget the fact that before Sergeant Slaughter
became the Iraqi sympathizer, it was almost going to be
Fred Hopman. We almost had Chic Typhoon versus Haul Cogan.
Don't forget that was going to happen. Oh, never forget.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I love pro wrestling. I love professional wrestling.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
That, yes, that was going to happen.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
By the way, Josh, Josh and as and both are
sharing a mic right now.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yes, yeah, they We're getting really close to each other's face,
which is good because I'm just back from COVID.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Yeah, oh you know it's not good.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
So Josh isn't here next week.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Getting released by t NA, yeah, seg. Normally we do
not talk about releases on this show and and and
where people are going to end up and all that.
We just talk about the debuts, which yes, Ray Phoenix
is supposed to debut next Friday on SmackDown.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
But I feel like this one is worthy to bring
up on the show.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
I'm sorry, really quick. Can we also just appreciate how
who is it el America? Yead Americana got on the
turn book? One said, Grassius, instead of thank you, just
can we just appreciate that for no, can we just
appreciate that for one moment?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
A moment of silence. Moment of silence?
Speaker 3 (11:58):
All right? Why a moment of silence? He's not dead.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
No, I'm just you wanted to get you wanted to
give a moment to appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
We give him a moment, I'm not just a moment
of like remembrance. You know it's not Chad Gable. No, anyways,
Gail Kim being released by TNA, where's she getting picked
up at? Because you know she's not going to be
out too long?
Speaker 1 (12:21):
No?
Speaker 3 (12:22):
She like?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Okay, Gail Kim was very instrumental and had a strong
hand in their Knockouts division, and arguably arguably TNA for
for a few missteps that they have made Scott the
Moore Okay, yes, they still, in my opinion, have one
of the best women's divisions in professional wrestling, and I
think some of that, I think some of that has
(12:45):
to go, has to go.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
To Gail Kim. So Gail Kim.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yes, she has been released by TNA from the company.
Kim was an integral part of their Knockouts Division. As
to what it said, she is also well expected among
those in the industry. She released a statement on Instagram
talking about her departure. Quote, just wanted to say thank
you to the fans, friends, and especially my peers for
all the support you have given me over the last
(13:11):
few days. I've received such an enormous amount of love
and it really has helped process this change for me.
More than anything, I am grateful for all the years
and opportunities I was given to help build something I
always dreamed of. The Knockout Division is and will always
be my heart and all the women who were a
part of it. Thanks to the incredibly hard working and
(13:33):
passionate TNA talent and crew that I have had the
pleasure of working with. This will not end my passion
or my love for wrestling, and this is not the
end of Gail cam In the wrestling world, you don't
put in seventeen years in one company and stop when
you are this passionate. I look forward to sharing my
journey and am taking some time for myself and prepare
for what's ahead, looking forward to the future. So it
(13:55):
sounds like to me Gael Kim is going to take
some much.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Needed time off.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Where is she gonna go?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
I I believe pro wrestling?
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, And you know, I think that's a strong possibility
because she has worked with Scott the Moore before.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Also, isn't Gelkim Canadian? Canadian?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
I believe?
Speaker 2 (14:15):
So hold on, we gotta we got a Google machine.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
You know what? Will we wait? Let me talk about
Fred Ouppman and the Natural Yeah. No, I actually really
like the natural disasters. Yeah, you know they were massive,
like just massive people. So you have Gail Kim's.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Wikipedia and she is from Canada. Which party Canada?
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Toronto, Toronto.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
I've been to Toronto. I love Toronto.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Toronto is a nice one.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
So nice I.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
There, nice people. No, Jeff has I have not?
Speaker 3 (14:50):
I have not.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I have not left the this time zone ever.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
But yeah, so Gailkim is uh, she is Canadian, which
she has worked with Scott the More before.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I think that's a solid choice of her going to
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
I think good job.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I think the I want to say.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
The NWA could possibly I think sort of the two
generic answers is a W and WWE, but both are
solid like she could end up there now. According to
her statement, she is going to take some time off,
so this is not going to be an immediate thing,
you know, unplugged from the business. Recharge your batteries. We
(15:31):
might hear something later this year or early next year.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I think what we're going to hear is something at sometime. Yes, Chucky,
dukay quick quick.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
AW Dynasty is also next Sunday.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
You have my computer in front of you. You can
google it.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
All right, so be it?
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah? Uh the match card so far for AW Dynasty.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Matches, yesright, yeah, yeah, that's that's what the Google doc
does when I try to put the champion parentheses thing there.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
John John Moxley Copyright defending his a W World Championship
against Swerve Strickland. Tony Storm Copyright will be defending her
Women's World Championship against Meghan Baine three way match for
the AW International title. Kenny Omega Copyright defending his title
against Ricochet and Speedball Mike Bailey. AW World Trios Championship
(16:34):
Death Riders, Claudio Castick Noley, Pack and Willer Yudah Champions
defending their title against rated FTR Cope, Cash, Willer and
Dax Harwood. And of course Jericho has to make his
way onto the match card some way, somehow, not.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Ultimate He is also not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Chris Jericho is not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
All of the people listed not Ultimo Dragon. No, none
of them Ultimo Dragon. This will be a title versus
mask match though, for the Ring of Honor World Championship,
with christ Jericho's title against Bendido's mask. So yeah, yeah,
that's that's the a Tow Dynasty card so far. We
got one more week, so yeah, maybe ten more matches
(17:18):
will get out of here.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
What match is going to be added, Jeff take it away?
Speaker 2 (17:21):
What match will be?
Speaker 1 (17:22):
I don't know right off the top of my head.
You asked me too quickly, All right.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Jeff, what match? Jeff take it away? Johnsh what do you.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
Think Mercedes Monet TBS title match against some random woman?
Because it doesn't matter?
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Okay, thank you, Josh. Jeff. Let's hear what you have.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
I think I think that I don't know who she
would defend her title against right now? Maybe Willow again.
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
Remember who.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Billy Starks. She just had that match with her, so
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Oh yeah, well they're they're kind of teasing that. I
think that's either going to be double or nothing or
all in. Yeah, because yeah, because they got double or
nothing and then all in after that.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
That's what the rumor is that it could.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Be Athena versus Tony Storm, So oh, I guess.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Or but here's what I think. I believe it's going
to be uh Okada versus anyone. I believe Okada will
find a way to be on this uh this match card.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I think it would be a bit criminal not to
have Okada at least somewhere on the match card, especially
when you got Canoe Omega and it looks like that
eventually we're going to get Omega Ocada five.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
So yes, that is a strong possibility.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
You know who else is not? Ultimo Dragon see them Punk?
Speaker 2 (18:53):
See him Punk?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
No?
Speaker 2 (18:54):
But you know what he is doing though? No, it
was throwing the tip of your.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Tongue venteen, So.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
I wouldn't get one for you to Night Extravaganza.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
So yes.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
This past Friday on SmackDown, during a contract signing between
remend Rain and See Him Punk and seth Rawlins. It
was revealed that this triple threat match will main event
WrestleMania after becoming emotional.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
About probably probably yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
The only thing that has been confirmed for either night
is Night one confirmed. Yes, no, Randy Orton Kevin Owens
is supposed to be Night one. That's the only confirmation
we got so far. But I think it is safe
to assume this will be don't you assume you know
what happens when you assume.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Well, you know, it could be wrong. I'm okay with that.
Oh yeah, yeah, I could live with being wrong.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
So see, so see Him did say that this.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Is not the favor o to him by Paul Him
and he said this to Roman Reigns. So online speculation
has ramped up.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Before this even happened, people were like, maybe they'll make
this triple threat whoever wins goes into the title matter
Cody and John. I'm like, no, don't do that. And
now I'm like, maybe this is what it's gonna be.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I don't know, maybe yeah, yeah, who yeah? What yeah?
Speaker 1 (20:27):
May I No, No, I don't want to see that
night to a triple threat match between the winner of this.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
And or put him into going through the Jay User
match instead of them main eventing. There'll be a main event, right, yeah,
open the show, going through JA close the show, see
him punk being added.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
No, no, he doesn't want a main event. He wants
the main event.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, and they got two now, so Night one and
n Night two.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
Some people don't even consider Night one to be the
main event.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
But whatever, I mean, I take it or leave it.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
But no, I I think if this becomes the number
one contender Contenders match, I think it is safe to
assume see him bunk could very well be the winner.
I'm saying that because if John Cena then wins his
match with Cody, we get a rematch for twenty eleven
money in the bank.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Yeah. Well, here's what I want to know. I want
to know if Triple H is sitting there thinking like Sharon,
being like, if I could turn back time, are you
putting Paul Hayman and see him punk back together? Is
that what you're gonna do? Josh? What do you think? Yeah? Yeah, Jeff,
what do you think.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I think that's a possibility.
Speaker 6 (21:38):
You think that's a possibility, Well, you're gonna sit over
there in your little chair. I think that's a possibility. Josh,
is that what you're going to do. You're going to
sit here use this microphone. Think that's a possibility that.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
They could term back time. Oh yeah, what Jeff, what
do you think I think?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Yeah, yeah, what No, I mean I think that could
be the favor. I think it could be that, uh
see him Punk. The favor is for Paul Hayman to
be aligned with him once again.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
And also, like I said, it's a call back to
twenty eleven money in the bank, and this time the
roles are reversed.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
John Sanna is wanting to win the title and walk
away with.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
It at the end of the year, but he's already
said out loud he wants to retire with it.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Well here's okay. Yeah, so do you have it to
where it is? Then? John Cena versus see them Punk?
Do you do that? Do you do John Cena versus
seem Punk?
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I think?
Speaker 3 (22:37):
So? How the turn to have tabled?
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, because didn't see him Punk say that he wanted
to work with Sena at least one more time during
his last year.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
Yeah, I mean he did Elimination Chamber.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
But yeah, yeah, I mean, but like this in a
program yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Well, I mean also, I think everyone has said that,
but that's true. But the two things that I think
you would have to have is Randy Orton John Cena
and see him punk John Cena.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yeah, like, I feel like it's it.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
This will be a waste if they do not revisit
the Randy Orton John Cena feud. I think this will
also be a waste if they don't revisit the c
M punk John Cena feud.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
It does suck that edges over there in aw he can't.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Be there as well.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
But you know, yeah, well cope, Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
That's just something the world'll go have to cope with.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, oh jeez, what on on this day in wrestling history?
(23:44):
Nineteen ninety eight, The night after WrestleMania fourteen saw one
of the most eventful Raw after WrestleMania events in history.
Following Sean Michael's retirement match after his loss his stone
Colt Steve Austin the night wore Hairques its retirement, Triple
H took over D Generation X, firstly adding a returning
(24:05):
Sean Waltman Xboch to the group who re signed from
WCW The New Age Outlaws Billy Gunn and Road Dog
also joined.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
The group after.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
After Triple h and Waltman helped them defeat Cactus Jack
and Chainsaw Charlie in a cage match to win the
WWF Tag Team Championships that had been vacant vacated earlier
in the night. In other happenings, Farouk was kicked out
of the Nation of Domination by the.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Rock and the rest of the group.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
The new Midnight Express, Boo, Bodacious Vieard put.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
In front of something that does not make it good.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
It sucks. Bodacious Bart and Bombastic Bob beat the Headbangers
Mash and Thrasher to win the NWA World Tag Team Championships. Finally,
a brand new WWF Championship design was presented to the
new champion, Steve Austin, to replace the long serving gagle.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Winged Eagle that's also in nineteen ninety eight.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
If you flipped over to the other channel on March thirtieth,
nineteen ninety eight, you would have saw on Monday, Nitro
Chris Jericho defeated Marty Jeanetti before running through his iconic
Man of one thousand and four Holds promo.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
That was on this day in wrestling history. Join us
in a moment when we come back to talk about
WrestleMania moments with our Mount Rushmore.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Come back.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Good time for a word of the grill out here.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
It's Hollywood, Jeppeate, welcome back, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Who the grill?
Speaker 2 (25:48):
I'm Hollywood, Jeff Petty, that's Josh Co.
Speaker 5 (25:52):
That's right, we're here and we are proud to be
here for these things.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
And Jason Linkins, Yeah, Jay Well to be here here
if we do the day day everybody day cash.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
FuG it is official. Jeffy is our sour boy.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
I finally have a platform to get my beautiful boys the.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
Waves way Jeffy, you might be able to see the
real sour boy he is.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Bash and Beckley.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Yeah, and and Gallows will be there. Brothers, Yes, the
good brothers will be in the house. Bash and Beckley
June seventh, I think, yeah, they know who won't be
there Ultimo Dragon because none of them are Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
True. Yes, that's true. Quick.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yes, it is.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
WrestleMania season, which means it is also Hall of Fame season.
We've already talked about certain inductees going into the Hall
of Fame not demolition because they should be there by now,
but tug boat. But now WW is going to induct moments.
They are calling it immortal moment.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Is that correct?
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Josh? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (27:01):
Yeah, so they can do matches, but I'm wondering if
that also just means moments in general, but at least
matches for sure.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah, So their first, their first inductee and match moment
that's going to be inducted this way is Stonehas Steve
Allston taken on Brett Hart at WrestleMania thirteen with Ken
Shamrock as special guest referee. Yes, And with this, Brett
Hart is now the first ever three time inductee into
the WWE Hall of Fame. Yeah, so, and then you're here.
(27:28):
WW talk a lot about WrestleMania moments, WrestleMania moments. So
with that being said, and especially since the next three weeks,
we have predictions.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Mind you, we have aw next week.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
And then we have Night one WrestleMania the weekend after that,
and then Night two the weekend after that.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
So good luck, Yeah, we're going to need it.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
With that being said, we're gonna go ahead and do
a mount rushmore for WrestleMania moments if you are new
to this show and you don't know what we're talking about,
Mount Rushwood's basically where we go ahead and we just
picked four things from a certain category of wrestling based
on our opinion that we think are Mount rushmore worthy.
With that being said.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Jason and Josh are over there researching.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Now. Maybe I'm just trying to remember the ideas. Yeah, yeah,
I'm trying to remember which WrestleMania this was. I think
it's ten.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Okay, okay, if anything, I'll go ahead and start because
I already have one. My first one will be WrestleMania
twenty four, Shawn Michaels.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Versus Rick Flair.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
WHOA yeah, that match they I'm sorry, I love you.
Shawn Michaels to Rick Flair old yell or sow with
the switch in music.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Flair goes down the storyline leading up to that.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
I remember as a child, I kind of knew that
because I had watched wrestling enough at that point, I
kind of knew that Flair was going to retire because
the stipulation was from Eric Bischoff that Ric Flair the
next match he loses will be his last match and
fore Yeah, in this universe, it was the last and
w W Yes, it was TNA, but yeah, yeah, I'm
(29:08):
just saying he wrestled in TNA.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Yes, and don't forget about that Tech team match he
almost died with his former son in law.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Yeah yeah, Jeff Jared, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
The I'm Sorry I Love You match from WRESTLEMANA twenty
four between Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair is going to
be my first WrestleMania moment because I will. I can
say this as a grown man. I get I get
teary eyed every time I see that.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
I just do.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
It's just it's it's it's it pulls at your emotional heart.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Strings or whatever. I just do. I like the match, though,
so yeah, that's my first one.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Anyway, Josh, what about you?
Speaker 5 (29:54):
So a lot of these WrestleManias, Well, I've only been
seeing what if I can talk. I've only been watching
Wrestleming live since Wrestlbody at thirty with the WW network
Peacock blah blah blah. But the first real WrestleMania moment
I can remember as a kid seeing it after the
fact was Wrestleman twenty and there's gonna be a pattern
(30:14):
here and not intentionally, but it's gonna involve this particular wrestling,
not a lot of my moments. Uh, Undertaker's return to
face Kane to wrestle May twenty, Okay, just the return
of the dead Man character after being you know, the
American badass for has however many years.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
All Right, that's a great moment. Okay, that's I will say.
As a child, I was terrified of that. Yeah, I
like nine years old when when I watched that, it
was terrifying.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Anyway, Jason, well, we're gonna take a trip back in time.
Oh the way to wrestle Mania den WrestleMania x Sean
Michaels versus Razor ramone ladder match for the Intercontinental Title.
It was the second ladder match ever.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
I's getting right. I asked that question.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Is the first in wrestle history?
Speaker 2 (31:01):
What was it? What was the first one? Was that
at SummerSlam?
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Well it was a it was Brett Hart Bredheart. Okay,
I'll be honest, I don't remember when it was off
the top of my head.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Okay, it's okay.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
WrestleMania ten sewn Michaels versus Razor ramone Intercontinental Title for
Intercontinental title. Shawn Michael said he never lost it because
he didn't he had given it up. Rasor Ramones said
he was the rightful champ, and the rest is history.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
The rest, as they say, is history.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah, all right, back to me, So WrestleMania twenty one,
I'm going to say John Cena's first world title win
because this sort of sixteen, yes of sixteen, Yes, he
took it, won the title off of JBL. JBL had
the title for a year or over a year, No,
(31:48):
it's close to a year at this point.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Longest reigning champion of SmackDown history.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Not anymore, yeah, not anymore. But at that time he
was a wrestling god. Yes, John Canta dead.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
He defeated JBL at Wresselemani to one, and pretty much
this was just this was the start.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
This was where it all start.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
So Superseno wasn't he wasn't he for all of the
dragon Ball fans out there, he wasn't at full ultra
instinct at this point, but he wasn't at mastered ultra
instinct at this point, but he was. He was one, Yes,
he was super saying one at this point, maybe two, okay,
because he didn't have.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
The run with the US title, but he did win
the the the.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
World title here and also restmating at twenty one in
general was sort of a changing of the guard because
Batista's win him winning the World Heavyweight title and then
Johnson to win the WWE Championship and pretty much WW
at that point showing hey, these are.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Are our two new guys. So it was a changing
on the guard.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
Sad disputed Championship belt and brought out the spinner.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah, the the Undisputed Championship belt is such a beautiful belt.
It really is, like it's it's nice, it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right, Josh, what do you got So?
Speaker 5 (32:59):
I said there'd be a theme of a particular wrestler.
You know, they don't call this guy mister WrestleMania, but
I think he's the real mister wrestling. Tony Atlas, Yes,
that man, that guy who is not the Undertaker, Ultimo Dragon, who.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Is not the entertainer.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Hey, go ahead and emails who do you think is
not Ultimate Dragon?
Speaker 2 (33:19):
The girl at ninety five Gmail dot.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Ultimo Dragon is not the Ultimate Dragon.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Ultimore Dragon is definitely Ultimo Dragon. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
Speaking of who is not Ultimate Dragon, Laparka, He's back
from the dead.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
He is I saw it in Triple A, right, Yeah, yeah,
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Hey, I didn't recognize it was him, so I went
to the comment section.
Speaker 5 (33:38):
But it's not you know, because well the real one
is dead.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Oh won't see. I didn't know that, Jesus, I did
not know that.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
I learned that there's like a tradition in Mexico that
they'll pass on the character.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Oh yeah, yeah, what's happening here.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
That's kind of with with like Penta, Yeah, because he's
still he's technically Pentagon Junior and then Ray Mysterious technically
Raymisterio Junior.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
And mister Wrestling. There's been like fifty eight of them.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
Well, you know who's not dead, the dead Man, the Undertaker. Yeah,
I'm gonna go wrestle maya thirty six.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
To Boneyard match.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
Okay, it's just a great cinematic match and what they
were able to do with that time and the terrible
time for wrestling just because of the circumstances.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Yeah, let's we talked about pandemic era wrestling just a
couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, boy, it was a it was a different time
to be a wrestling fan.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Yeah, it was a few years ago. It was a
different time. Yep. It was all right, Jason, all right
with mine. We're gonna go back to WrestleMania ten.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
We're going to back to ten.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Okay, yeah, we're staying there. So the opening match for
WrestleMania ten, do you all know what it was? Do
you know what the main event was? Let's go main
event first for WrestleMania ten. It was Brett Hart versus Yokozuna.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Yeah, but wasn't the opening match? Wasn't it Brett Hart, Owen.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Hart and my match?
Speaker 5 (35:02):
Yes, technically Cogan take over the man a minute.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
No nine, No, that was nine. This is yeah. When
they went back to right the wrong, it was like
they quantum leaped it and they went back in time
to fix the wrongs that should be made right. And
then Scott Bakula never got to make it home, but
Dean Stockwell was always there by his side. Yes, So
(35:26):
my pick is Owen Hart versus Brett Hart WrestleMania ten,
because later on in that night, Brett Hart would go
on to beat Yokozuna to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
Owen Hart earlier that night beat who would become the
heavyweight champion. I always thought that just all around, owen
(35:49):
Hart was a much better wrestler than Brett. He was
more entertaining, he had more charisma. But I think that
match alone, Brett Hart versus Owen Hart shows why owen
should have been champed.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
That's true. It is sort of a it's it's it's
unfortunate and.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Also rest in peace, Owen Heart and Dean Stockwell.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yes, also it is.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
It is very unfortunate that owen Hart was never really
given the chance to become a world champion properly.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I mean I kind of see Chad Gable as a
modern day kind of owen Hart character. Like I could
see Owen back then doing the whole thank you thing,
because I mean, he had the two slammies, that's true,
and he would always, you know, in the inferences with
the when he was teaming with British Bulldog as Bulldog
would be up there posing and he sneak in under
(36:40):
and hold up the slammies and you know.
Speaker 7 (36:42):
But anyway, yeah, yeah, the owen Hart was easily And
I don't think this, I don't think I don't think
this is a very controversial statement to say Owenhart was
easily the most charismatic one out of the hearts all
of them.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
So yeah, anyway, my next one is going to go.
We're gonna go to wrestleming at twenty five. And it's
some way that we've already two people, we've already been
talking about Sean Michaels versus The Undertaker at WRESTLEMINGI in
twenty five. How this never got received a five star match?
Triviuw Yeah, like I think at the travesty that this
(37:23):
match in particular never received a five star review on
it again, Hills, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
I'm I'm tight typing all over the place.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
We've talked on the show, and Meltzer has even said that,
you know, his ranking system is nothing more than a
guide and it's his opinion and everything, and really, truly
professional wrestling is all within the eye of the beholder.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Okay, what some people like, other people do not, et cetera,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
But this match, Okay, twenty six was good, but twenty five.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Really set the bar for that.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
The the run with the Undertaker leading up to wrest
twenty nine really his last good match with CM Punk.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
They didn't raise the bar, they set the bar they
are the bar. Yeah, not to be confused with art bar.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Or acbar.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
It's a tramp uh. But yeah, like also not Ultimate dreg.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah yeah, I'm gonna name this whole episode not Ultimo.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Trag, this whole episode bucket, you coward.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
But if you want to see amazing wrestling, amazing storytelling,
amazing psychology, this match wrestling of twenty five, Shawn Michael's
versus The Undertaker, Shawn Michael shows right then and air,
and he showed it plenty of times before this, but
definitely why he was known as mister WrestleMania.
Speaker 5 (38:53):
Next year's a mortal woman.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
I call it. You calling it right now, Josh?
Speaker 1 (38:57):
All right, you heard it here first, Like you all
heard about Johnson's Hill Turn it nobody else called.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Except for us and everyone who's not Ultimo Dragon. I
don't see any other wrestling shows talking about it. You
know who's not Ultimo Dragon, Eric Bischoff, that's right coming
for you eighty three weeks.
Speaker 5 (39:22):
Speaking of eighty three weeks, Uh, Dynamite is about to
pass micro number of episodes.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
And Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Actually yeah, it's going to pass
both of them at the same time. So and I
think that's why they're doing a spring break episode around
that same time.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Well, you know what, let me ask you this, Josh,
what's your next one? I gotta go back to WrestleMania.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
It's twenty A very memorable moment for my teenage years
of that playboy.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
I'm joking.
Speaker 5 (39:47):
It's not the last night.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
No, no, we were about to pump the break. We
were about to pull the emergency brain.
Speaker 6 (39:56):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
I was trying to hype you up and you know no,
oh lord, no, although Tory Wilson, uh not Ultimate Dragon Games, no,
just yeah anything.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
Okay, So, so the Michael's Undertaker matches great, both of them.
But I'm gonna go a different direction. Perhaps one of
the greatest wrestlelming he may events of all time. There
really was wrestling you excel night two nights and Cody
finishes the story.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Yeah that's the real pic.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
Oh okay, okay, I literally had WRESTLEMANA twenty wrote down Night.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Two Cody versus Roman. Uh, Cody finished his story involved
the Undertaker. Yeah, yeah, there really is a theme with
yours like here.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Recap real quick with Josh's Wrestleman twenty Return of the
Dead Man Wrestling. Your thirty six Boneyard match wrest forty
Cody Rhodes versus Rumman Range with the Undertaker running flank You.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Might be able to guess my last one.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Is it the Undertager Undertaker versus Jimmy Snoop super Fly Snooker.
Also both of them not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
I was getting read to say, if you don't say
Undertaker versus Giant Gonzales, I'm firing you from this.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
I will say Undertaker himself has said that the Great
Collie no Giant Gonzalez made the Great Collie look like luth.
I believe that. So my next pick, We're going back
to WrestleMania twenty one this time, mind you. His first
two picks are WrestleMania ten. Yes, WrestleMania twenty one. Sean
(41:47):
Michaels versus Kurd Angle. Amazing, amazing match. You have the
whole thing of the show stopper versus the most technical
wrestler of all time, which how does the match start
off with Shawn Michael's out technical wrestling Kurt Angle? Why
do you do that story?
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Good for the story, It's amazing story, It's a great match.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
The story was there Ankle lock search and music story. Jeff,
what's your next one? Oh?
Speaker 2 (42:27):
My next one? Let me think real quick because I'm bouncing.
I got a couple in my head right now.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Kick one.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
Oh, let's see, let's see how on a hold on it?
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Do it now?
Speaker 1 (42:41):
Just you know, if we're talking about WrestleMania moments on
the Mount Rushmore.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Yeah, that's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
We have stayed between WrestleMania ten to WrestleMania forty.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
There are you going number three?
Speaker 1 (43:00):
And one co word, We're going to WrestleMania three, Hall cogn
versus Andrea the Giant.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
I think that first time ever body slammed him.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
No, it was. It was not the first time. And
you know what, how many numerous people had buddy slammed
Andrea by this point, including Harley Raised, one of the
baddest men to ever live besides Haku. Also all four
of these people not Ultimate Dragon.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
Oh uh yeah. WrestleMania three Hall Coke and versus Andrea
the Giant. I think that one. That's pretty self explanatory.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
It was really WrestleMania one, we know was a huge
risk and had high reward for Vince and the WWF.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
They pulled it off.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
WrestleMania two, they stumbled because they three night and three
different locations. Actually, you know what, scratch out WrestleMania two
hal Coke.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
And versus Ki Kong Bundy Hard but no wrestume.
Speaker 3 (43:58):
I always believe that people are in total to their
own opinions except.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
That, Yeah, I welcome that, I welcome that.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Yeah, No, WrestleMania three, Hollcogan versus Andre the Giant.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
I believe this was the moment where WWF pretty much
solidified themselves as the top promotion in the country, possibly
even the world.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
At that point, we were still getting to there.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
But this, this solidified them for years to come with
WrestleMania because look here, in just a few weeks, we're
getting ready to have WrestleMania forty one. So yeah, yeah,
it can, it can vote, drink, drive, pay taxes.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Eventually, it's gonna get to the point it's gonna get
AARP card. Anyway, Josh, what's your next one? What's your
final one?
Speaker 5 (44:44):
Well, if you can't guess that, I'm surprised no one
has set yet. Perhaps the most memorable or at least
most shocking moment wrest history.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Yeah, yeah, wrong promotion? Is that starkad No, that was
a was that Air for the Gold?
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Okay, yeah, I thought yeah, I thought that was his
little talk show.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
That Flair is still on.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
A man who should have faced the Undertaker at one
time but didn't happen. Ever, except for that time in
w W when he wasn't the Undertaker yet. Yeah, okay,
most jocking moment wrest history brock Lesnard defeats the Undertaker
in the Streak WrestleMania thirty God Dropping pin Drop moment.
Speaker 4 (45:30):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Yeah, that's a triple X not a
three zero.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Well, you know I have to Okay, I'll put it
in there.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
I'll put the three because I'm not doing the Roman
numerals for the rest of them.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
I'm not gonna try to figure that out.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
Yeah. No, I didn't like a couple of choices here, Okay,
A couple of great choices. Could have had Vince McMahon
versus Pat McAfee, could have had Jerry the King Lawler
versus Michael Cole, could have had the Bushwhackers versus the
Fabulous Rushows what? But you know what I'm gonna have instead?
(46:18):
Do you know what I'm gonna pick. Do you know
who I'm gonna pick? You don't know, You don't know.
Nobody knows except me. That's right, And I'm gonna tell
you what it is right now. I'm gonna talk to you. Yeah,
Hulk Hogan versus The Rock.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
I said it wrestling eighteen.
Speaker 3 (46:39):
Yeah, yeah, I have to. They had to change it
in the middle of the match because of the fan turn.
They had to do it. They had to, and it
has to be one of the greatest Wrestlemanium moments of
all time.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
It does it does?
Speaker 3 (46:53):
Now?
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Okay real quick eighteen or xite it is okay seven
spelled Yeah, it.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Is indeed X seven spell out the seven. This time
it was X eight X with the number eight sixteen,
I think sixteen. Nobody cares.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
That was the triple threat match with a McMahon in
every corner, I mean, fatal four way match. McMahon man
in every corner? Wasn't Linda with Big Show? Was Linda
with Big Show?
Speaker 3 (47:23):
I think Linda was with Mick.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
Oh she was. She was with mcfoley. Who was with
Big Show?
Speaker 3 (47:28):
Shane or Stephanie. It's one of the two.
Speaker 1 (47:31):
