Speaker 1 (00:08):
Are you ready what I said?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Oh yeah, just deal.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
We are dealing the cleaver of the clock.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
I got one hundred and forty one and two. Those
tens are winning. But brought up, I am.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Bad and ain't a lot bad?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Why have the man our theo there with a dollar
to speak this out and shutter?
Speaker 5 (00:36):
Welcome you to the grail out from the heart. That's Silliam,
West Virginia.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Here's your host, Hollywood.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
Chef Petty.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Welcome back, ladies, gentlemen, to the rail app episode eighty one.
I am adjusting my headset right now. I'm your host,
Hollywood Jeff Petty, and I'm joined by not both, but
one the best. Well, that's up for the baby, the best,
up for the bait. Jasonly likens the reflection of perfection
(01:07):
sometimes deception.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
Jeff, let me stop you right there. You see, listeners,
what happens is this room can only handle so much greatness,
and when you are a great, so much ego. Yes,
let's talk about ego for a second. What's the name
of the show, The Grill Out with Hollywood? Jeff Petty
doesn't even put his co host names on there because
he knows that only one of the co host outshines
(01:31):
the lights of Hollywood. And that's greatness because when you're good,
you're good. When you're great, you're me. Now, don't forget that, Jeff,
I am the reflection of perfection. You can sit in
your chair, you can wish upon a star in the
Hollywood lights of what you could be. And when you
look at me, you know that what you could be. Baby,
if nothing as good as me, because he got a
(01:52):
bithickle baby, I got too bythickled baby.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Then in my garage, baby, I got.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Full with two bythickled baby that you can get as
a unicycle.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Do you really think my big self gonna get on
a unicycle?
Speaker 5 (02:07):
No offense, man, I want to see it. I want
to see it.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
It'll look like Yoshi on a pogo stick.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Okay, hey man, don't do that to Yoshi. You're far
worse than Yoshi.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Jesus.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
You can tell like a goumba.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
You can tell how much Jason actually likes me.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
You can tell how happy I am that Josh isn't here.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
The Champ's not here.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
You know what, that's my problem? Okay, if you are
the champ, I don't care what you have going on.
In your day to day life. If you're sick, if
you're at a festival, if you have a trip book
to New York, you show up. It doesn't matter. If
you are the champ, you show up to work. When
I was champed, I was here every week. I had
(02:59):
so many many personal things that I put aside. Okay,
I was doing my forgiveness tour of twenty four and
I still showed up to work. I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
I don't get it.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Josh, you should be ashamed.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Well, he'll definitely put this in the group chat. I'm like,
what what did I do?
Speaker 5 (03:18):
I'll tell you what you did, Josh, you didn't show
up to work. Yep? He what he told us last
week he was I don't care. I thought he was joking.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
No, No, he's not.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
You're right. He doesn't joke.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
He doesn't, he doesn't.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
They're terrible jokes.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Hey.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
He tries. He gives it as the best shot. He
gives it the old college try.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
You know.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
Yeah, well college failed him.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Well, I mean.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
To be honest, Jason, No, I am working on my dissertation.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
You are.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
How far are you with that?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Like?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
How was that going?
Speaker 5 (03:49):
It is in review right now, okay. Good, So I
should know something within the week.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Okay, And at that point we would know if.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
You if I become doctor Likings or doctor Greatness, doctor
doctor Greatness.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
On your dissertation about who is and who is not
Ultimo Dragon in Layman's terms.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Yes, uh, Jeff, if you will humor me, okay, give
me a wrestler Funaki Funaki, yes, not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Okay, all right. Let me think Jamie.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
Noble, Jamie Noble from Hanover, West Virginia. Jamie Noble, yes
that Jamie Noble, not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Okay. Let me think who else was on Velocity in
two thousand.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
I can. I can give you two names right now
for who are not Ultimo Dragon who Nito and Boushie.
That's true, not Ultimo Dragon, that's true. But their future
huh uh huh.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
I'm glad you teed that.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Up, Joshall tell you do a segue.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Nighto and Bushie wrestled their final matches in a New
Japan ring last Weekend Wrestling one more time, with their
faction lost ingoman Ibilies de Hopone or l I J.
A lot is known about where the two will end
up after this. It is being reported by Tokyo Sports that.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Hold, how is it that reported? Is in what you
just said? That's the word you messed up on? I
don't know, Like I was so proud of you for
everything else that you just perfectly pronounced, and then you
get to report it.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yeah, probably the.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Most English word on here reported And you're like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Reported by Tokyo Sports that Nito will have surgery on
his left eye. Well, it's this past on, so that
was correct.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Me.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Is that always the eye that he holds open whenever
he does his pose? I don't know if it is
stop that yeah, stop holding it open?
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Stop? Yeah, he is. He will have stem cell treatment
on his right knee.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Though, so left eye, right knee.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Yes, But the thing is right now, And I've seen
people talking about this and that they want Nito to
kind of like go away for like a year or
two and then come back.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
I think he's forty three. I mean people have went further,
but he does. He's already had a lot of knee
issues and of course he's he's having some type of
surgery done to his eye. So something that's happened there.
And also, and we've talked about this on the show,
before that new japan strong style put a rescue style
(06:35):
is very hard on somebody's body.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
It is.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Yeah, But at the same time, keep this in mind,
Okay aj styles is currently older than Michael Hayes was
when he retired. Michael Hayes was thirty five. Was he
really thirty five thirty five when he retired?
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Wow?
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Well, Also keep in mind that there was a match
between Earthquake and Big boss Man where between them they
were still under the age of fifty two. Guys who
look like they have always been fifty that's true.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, it was something about them, about the old school wrestlers. Yeah,
Big boss Man definitely looked like he.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Was Earthquake Man. That hairline was worse than Hogan's.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
It was.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
But maybe he takes some time off, he comes back
and wrestles a different style, maybe a more grounded.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Style maybe, but he not only does he have a
background in put a wrestling, and this also goes for Bushie, Yeah,
but she also has a background and put a Rescue.
They both are rooted in luchadors in Luca Neebring. So
that's a very high flying, high impact style mixed with
(07:43):
the Japanese strong style of just hard hitting. I'm going
to actually hit you type stuff and not pull punches.
You mix those two together. That's this is kind of
kind of what you get. But nevertheless, both of them
are they've left New Japan. They are no longer a
part of l I J And we'll just have to
(08:06):
wait and see. I don't know where. I don't know
where they're going to end up. I have no clue.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Well, let me ask you this, Jeff. I have no
idea if this is on your breakdown because I never
read them.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
He doesn't.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
I don't. I don't need I send them to him.
You do, but I don't care. So, speaking of strong
style and people who are no longer with New Japan,
what is Shinsk Knockmore are going to do when his
contract is up? Is do you? I don't think he
should renew. I think he should go elsewhere?
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Where would he go though?
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Anywhere?
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Problem?
Speaker 5 (08:36):
When is his contract though? I don't know? But the
best thing about Shinsk with w W E is his music.
That's it. That's true, Like they they don't book him.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Well, have you have you ever watched Shinsk outside of
w dowo oh? Yeah, like it's it's it's night and day.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
Yes to now Shenskate n x T is a lot
different than Shinsk main roster.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
That is, that is very true as well NXT Shinsk
was more closely aligned with New Japan Shinsk. Yeah, and
then he gets caught up to the main roster. What
was it WrestleMania thirty four. I think that was when
they were New Orleans and it was supposed to be
aj Styles and Shinsky knock More and everybody's like, oh
my god, we're gonna get a rematch from Russell Kingdom.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Terrible. Oh it was awful.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
It was trash, it was it was complete garbage.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
And I you know, the easy thing is to say,
Shinsk go to a w but I I don't want that.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
No, No, because AW has a it's another promotion that
has this hard hitting style to it.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
Well it's it's kind of the WWE fallback.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah, it really has. It has become that. But that's
also what happens when you have AW, which is and
some people are going to hate me saying this, that's
they're the number two promotion. So if you want to
make some money and you're wanting to be have like
a home promotion, that's kind of a no brainer to
(10:03):
go over there.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Well, by number two promotion, I mean by no means
are we saying they are the best or the most viewed.
What we're saying is they have the biggest machine behind them.
When you have the funds, that's what puts you at
the ranking of promotion. Yes, you know, WWE has a
lot of funds and a lot of name notoriety behind it.
(10:25):
They have, they are established. They are, without a doubt
in America the number one promotion, like it or not
exactly AUW number two.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yes, and you can make an argument with WWE that
they are the number one promotion internationally to Yeah, to
an extent, but like look at how many look at
how many international tours they do. Yes, I mean it's
they they do quite a bit, quite a bit. AW
is trying to go in that direction. And there's times
(10:56):
that they have knocked it out of the park, like
with Stadium with all in they've been able to pull
that off. But yeah, AW, as much as I do
like AW, it is the number two promotion, yes, And
I don't think that there is a close number three
behind it.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
No, And I think the I think the space between
second and third is a lot smaller than the space
between first and second. Yeah, I mean there are miles
apart between first and second. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
But and it's also it goes back to ww WWE
has the history behind them and they've been doing this
for years. It's a family bit. Well it was a
family business. So that's that's why that they are the
number one promotion in the country and arguably outside of
the country. Yes, now, of course you go to I
(11:59):
think if you go over to Japan, I don't think
that they are perceived as the number one wrestling promotion
over there. There are definitely you definitely have your WWE fans, Yeah,
but they gravitate more towards New Japan or Japan Pro
Wrestling no of stardom, Tokyo Joshi, whichever promotion you decide
to pick.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Well, I'm asking you this because you are a much
bigger fan of New Japan than I am. I like
New Japan, you have a lot more history with it.
WWE goes to Australia, they can sell out an arena, yep.
Can New Japan do the same?
Speaker 4 (12:35):
I don't think they can do it by themselves. I Well,
now that I think about it, Australia is within the
same time zone as Japan, right give or take like
maybe an hour or two off.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Closer than here in Japan or here in Australia.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
So yes, I think maybe they could. I think yeah,
now that I'm sitting here thinking about it, I think
that they could because if you think about it, also,
they do have quite a bit of talent that comes
not just from Australia but from New.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Zealand and everything as well.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Jay White is one that comes to mind, even though
he's with a aw now Battle foal A comes from
that same area. Same for the Tongans there. They come
from the island of Tonga.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
But only one of the names that you just mentioned
is still with New.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Japan fo A. And that's what happened.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Who is a whole lot better than Toma, Tonga or
Tonga loah, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
I was gonna say Tomatong is good?
Speaker 5 (13:37):
Is good?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yes? Oh it's a oh it's not good.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
It's not good at all. But you know, going from
international to local.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yes, Grapple Atcha. We have talked about this documentary before
on the program, and I will say this, if you
have not watched Grapple Atcham yet, I don't know why
you haven't, but I highly, highly recommend it for this area.
It is a wonderful introduction into the local wrestling scene.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
I will say this. I'm not saying this because Troy Rankin,
the producer and director, was on our show and I
like the guy. I'm saying this because I enjoyed pro
wrestling and I enjoy West Virginia and I enjoy West
Virginia pro wrestling. I watched it three times and really
enjoyed it. I really enjoyed Grapple at You.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
Yes, it's a It is such a great introduction. Everybody
that I've talked to have said it's a wonderful documentary.
It's only about half hour. Yeah, correct.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
My biggest complaint is I wanted it to be longer.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
That's true. And Troy, if you're listening to this, which
he could be, Yeah, I really would like to see
a Grapple.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
At You too.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I'd love to see a follow up.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Yes, absolutely, I would love to see that. And we'll
get further into the discussion about this area here in
a second. But Troy rank And, the producer and director
of it, was on our show before. As what Jason
was talking about this docum, which showcases and local wrestling
in our area won three awards at the twenty twenty
five Communicator Awards in three categories. Yes, General Arts and
(15:11):
Culture Excellence twenty twenty five, General Documentary Distinction twenty twenty five,
and General Sports Distinction twenty twenty five. We congratulate everyone
involved on showcasing our area in professional wrestling.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Yes, So congratulations to everyone who worked on it, yep,
and Troy very much. Congratulations to you on that.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Yes, and everybody, Like I said, everybody, everybody that was
involved with it. I think grapp Latsham showcases how healthy
the professional wrestling scene is here in West Virginia.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
You know what, I said that I had one complaint.
I have another complaint about it. What's that we had
nothing to do with it? Troy? What are you thinking?
Or are you not thinking? Troy? Come on, had the
reflection of perfection, this luscious tone on your documentary and no,
(16:09):
you didn't do it. You didn't do it, Troy. You
know what if you would have done that, I guarantee
you would have won twenty awards.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
I don't even I don't know, I don't know speaking yeah, no,
just just to go back to it. I like I have.
We talked to Troy on On on the program. If
you had not got a chance to go listen to interview,
please do. He hung out with us for the whole show.
He did gracious enough to do that with us. He's
(16:40):
from Colorado. Yeah, and he mentioned that they don't have
anything like this out there. They don't have local indie
wrestling to this degree in Colorado. We were at I
was at a regard to Pro show, uh several months back.
It was actually the first wrest show. I took IVY
(17:00):
two and I went up to a vendor to buy
some pop off of and I had I had to said.
I had a chance to sit there and talk to her.
She's from Florida, which just kind of threw me for
a loop when she told me. She was like, this
is amazing talking about the show and everything. She's like,
we don't have anything like this in Florida. I'm like
(17:23):
Florida of all places, like you have the Performance Center,
there's Florida Championship Wrestling aw is based out of Jacksonville,
but maybe the independent wrestling scene is not as strong
there as it is here in West Virginia. Like I
it really does like I said, Grapple Acture really does
(17:47):
give you a wonderful introduction to the world of professional
wrestling around here. And I did have a chance to
talk to Adam Harris at asw's nineteen anniversary show, and
I was sitting there saying the same thing to him,
and he agreed. He said that you know this, we
(18:08):
we It is a strong, strong hand that they have
here in West Virginia with all of the different promotions,
all of the different work that professional wrestlers can get.
If you have a favorite indie wrestler, Jack Vaughan, yep,
well there's I have a few different favorite indie wrestlers.
Jack Vaughn's great by lab Well.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
And also, I mean, if if you're in West Virginia
and you keep saying things like you know, we've got
nothing to do here taking a little indy show, give
it a shot. If you're traveling through West Virginia, if
you're listening to this show, go to a indie show here.
Try it out, see what you think. Try it.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
There's a reason why on this show we have a
segment called the main Event. Yes, because we are showcasing
all of the different shows internationally, nationally and locally, to
let you know what's your upcoming week of professional wrestling
is going to look like, and mainly the show, to
let you know where all the local shows are going
to be well.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
And also, I mean it's small business, you know it.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Support local business absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
You don't always have to give your money to the machine. No.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
And if you know, if you're like us and you're
a bottler on the budget and you want to take
your kids here.
Speaker 5 (19:21):
I don't know what you're talking about. I am the
longest raining what's the name of the show? Grill out
predictions champion? I wear corduroy constantly. Okay, Rick Flair might
have wore Kashmere all the time, but that's not what
I That's not my budget. Okay, I've got the corduroy
champion rate here.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Little does he know that the check that I wrote
to him for his championship reign bounced. I don't know
how to where the money he. I don't know how
he got the money to buy all of this stuff.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
What's up? My My headphones weren't working, would you say, Joe?
Speaker 3 (19:56):
On this day in Wrestling History, May eleventh, nineteen ninety five,
in the One and Only singles match between Stunning Steve
(20:17):
Austin Austin and macho man Randy Savage.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
The two fought as part of a tournament for the
vacant United States Championship at AWCW Saturday night taping in Atlanta, Georgia.
Savage was victorious in the bout the only time they met,
only time, only time they ever wrestled.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
And really that's a shame because I mean, two amazing
workers there. Stunning Steve Austin, I hope he made it,
you know, at some point.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
I hope he did too. I hope he did too, because.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
He was kind of like a ring master, you know, he.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Was he was you know, he did have that you know,
sort of that.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
Stone cold he did. Whatever happened to him, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
You can ride into the show and let us know
what happened the Stunning Steve Austin Grelot ninety five at
gmail dot com.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
I can tell you one thing that happened to him. Uh,
he's not Ultimate Dragon, So Jeff, tell me anything happened.
In nineteen ninety seven.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
May eleventh, nineteen ninety seven, Wwees in Your House A
Cold Day in Hell pay per view took place at
the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, West Virginia, Virginia.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
No, listen, okay, we are nowhere near Richmond, Virginia. So one, yeah, one.
You people who think that West Virginia and Virginia are
the same state. No, there's fifty states. West Virginia is
one of them. Two. If you ask us where we're
(21:47):
from and we say West Virginia, do not, then ask
us how close are we to Richmond?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
About five hours?
Speaker 5 (21:52):
We're not. We're not close anyways.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
In the main event, the Undertaker defeated Stone called Steve Austin.
That's what happened there between you? I think there is huh, Yeah,
I didn't know that.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Why did anyone tell me.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
That you didn't know that?
Speaker 1 (22:07):
No?
Speaker 5 (22:09):
Hold on, really, yes, that's who's stunning. Steve Austin became.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yes, I was just playing him along with the bit
on you.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
Why did anyone? And he was also the ring master.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Yes, why gimmick was terrible? Well yeah, he said it
was terrible. I shouldn't know it was the same guy.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Yeah, I know this luscious stunning hair.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
Then he became bald. Well, yeah, he was losing his hair,
and he said, you know, I think that he's the
way the story went. He was on Pittsburgh and he's like,
you know, I'm just gonna shave it all off, and
they did. He just shaved all of his hair off.
It wasn't a complete look because he was still the
ring master at that time, and he didn't shave it
all the way down to his skin, but he was
going in that direction.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
Yeah, next, you're gonna tell me he went to ec W.
Hold on, are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (22:59):
No?
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Why am I on this show if I don't know
anything about wrestling history?
Speaker 4 (23:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
I mean, I understand Josh, but come on to co
host who don't understand wrestling history.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
I don't know who booked you on this?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Yeah, he was superstar Steve Austin in ECW.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
I mean there's people who don't even realize that I'm
on this show.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Fair enough, there's people that, yeah, they don't. We're stowed away.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Okay, So next, you're going to tell me that something
happened in twenty thirteen in Japan. Yes, Jesus.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
May eleventh, twenty thirteen, Japanese wrestling legend Kenta Kabashi officially
retired from n Ring competition. Yep.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
Oh, that's it. Yep, that's it.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
He retired, but part of the four Pillars of Heaven
in All Japan Pro Wrestling, one of the instrumental people
that helped pro wrestling Noah get off the ground when Mitsuhara,
Mazawa and them did the mass exodus from All Japan
over to pro wrestling Noah.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yeah, I know a thing or two about that.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
All right, we're gonna go ahead and take a break.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
It's time for more to grill out. Here's Hollywood, Jeff Petty.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to the grill Out. I'm
your host, Hollywood, Jeff Buddy. I'm joined by Jason Likins.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
The reflection of perfection. He sieves us all, and keep
in mind, Josh, I'm sorry that no one ever talks
about how great of a fence you built.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
That's that's very true. Josh is also our current Grill
Out Predictions Champion.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
Yeah, who's not here, so the title should be stripped
of him and put on me. I'm here.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
You take that up with our general manager.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
I will okay.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
By the way, as far as predictions go, this just
popped in my head. We will not talk about Predictions
this episode. That will be next episode because we are
recording this today before Mother's Day and before backlash takes place. Yeah,
so yes, next episode.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
But we do have a weird thing that may happen.
That may happen because you and I have picked equals.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Oh that's true.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
So if Josh loses, you know, then it's between us.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
But we've picked and neither of us are current champions.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
No, so we'd have to figure out something like I
don't know. If you have ideas, please write in. You
can email us, you can put it on the Facebook.
I mean some things that have been mentioned was like trivia.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Yeah, which I completely forgot. We've done trivia on the show.
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Like the O G Show, Yes, the OG Show yep.
I mean there's also the thing of in the next
Predictions Josh is not in it, so it would just
be kind of a one on one thing, Yeah, to
see who is the the I don't know.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Yeah, you can email us to grill Out ninety five
at gmail dot com. You can also write us on
Facebook as what Jason said, Facebook dot com, forward slash
the grill out or on blue sky at the grill
at dot besky dot.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
Social I know someone said a five K run.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
I'm not going I'm not. I'm gonna get b word
fat real quick. I ain't.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
I bought the biscuits.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
I put them on.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
Man. Triple A speaking ideas, yep, Triple A.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
We we've kind of broke that story while we were
we were recording a few weeks ago when Triple A
sold to w W.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Yes, so with that, ww.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Has acquired Triple A while a lot of speculation has
been going around about that. According to Super super Lucha's,
a Spanish speaking publication covering Lucent Lebree are reporting that
WWE has offered contracts to the following he Hoo, the Doctor, Wagner,
he Hotel, Viking, Go La Parca. We'll get to that
(27:39):
one here in a second, Lahedra, Lady Flamer, Lady Mayor,
and Nino Hamburg Guisa. I don't know Spanish, it was
originally I am.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
We don't speak Spanish.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Listen, there's no way I can roll my ars nowhere.
I have been drinking quite a bit of sweet to
you here, which explains my weight. It was originally reported
that Alberto del Rio also offered a WWE contract, but
it has since been reported that he has not. WWE
is simply going to honor the current contract he has
with Triple.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
A, which brings up a question of where will we
see him next? And why will it not be WWE?
The world will keep on turning because of that. I
don't care if I ever see del Rio again.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Same, not for the same reasons a bit as Bill Goldberg,
but I would rather see Bill Goldberg than del Rio.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
True, true, del Rio. We just did a story on
him a few weeks ago about a incident Triple A
show where he threw a lady.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
The only way that I well, he threw a chair
and she was there. But still, yeah, I think the
only way that I would ever want to see del
Rio on TV again is if he was all of
a sudden surprised by Chris Hansen. Jesus, all right.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Now, I will say this with del Rio, the contract
that just being honored by WWWWE. Is it that these
other wrestlers that I just named, Lapark and leahedro he
Ho deel le can Go, et cetera, et cetera. Is
it that they are offered new contracts or is WWE
(29:23):
simply honoring the current contracts they have with Triple A.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
I have no idea.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Yeah, I don't have any time exactly. I have no
idea about that as well. That just seems it seems
kind of weird that it's del Rio that they're willing
to offer honor his contract and not other ones or
I don't know. I don't. I'm not in Mexico, so
I can't.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
I mean, could be the kind of thing of Okay,
we're honoring that you have a you can go elsewhere
as long as it's not X y Z and perform
their contract, you know, because del Rio could go wrestle
other places and still.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Maybe yeah, I could, I don't know, could make his
way over to CML, or make his way overseas to Japan,
or go somewhere else. I don't see him going with
TNA because Hena has such a close working relationship with WWE. Yes, now,
could del Rio end up working there now because of
(30:24):
w WE, possibly now that they've acquired Triple A.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Yeah, I think it would just optic wise, it would
be a bad look. Oh yeah, the same as if
he would go to a.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
W Yes, I would be I will say this, if
he does pop up in the AW I will be
a little disappointed. Yeah, but yeah, that is that is Yeah,
that's our thoughts on de wo. But we figured out
something about the Parker.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Though there's three of them.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
Yes, yeah, I had no idea about this.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
Well, I knew that there was a Laparca and an
l A Park.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Yeah, that there was. Uh so LA Park is the
original Laparka from WCW Yes, the ones that Yeah.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
The chairman of WCW.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Yes and Triple A had acquired the rights to intellectual
property to the Laparka name. So the original Laparka now
going by LA Park was not is not allowed to
use Laparka, so he has to go by LA Park.
Follow me on this, I'm walking with you, trying to
(31:29):
because it is a little confusing, so.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Pulling this up.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Uh yeah, Laparka. Yeah, the original Laparka is LA Park.
But there was another Laparka that did pass away unfortunately
in twenty twenty due to a an accident that happened
in a wrestling ring. And there is also a current
Laparka yes in Triple A.
Speaker 5 (31:57):
As of I think February or maybe uh March, but
as of twenty twenty five, there is a new Laparco. Yes,
let's see, it is the third Laparco, and he is
actually a member of one of the most legendary Luca families.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Yes, so it says right here. On March twenty second,
twenty twenty five, Triple A introduced a third Laparker, portrayed
by Brazo d Oro Junior. That was your day, I
think day. Yeah, because they were at ray De Reyis
twenty twenty five. Came out to thriller. Yes, good entrance
(32:39):
though you showed me the entrance at during the break.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
Yes. Well, he was reintroduced to the crowd initially when
he made his debut with Vampiro.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Mmm.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
Okay, and so they had him come out of a casket.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Okay, I'm following with you.
Speaker 5 (32:58):
Yeah, but yeah, I mean individuals in his wrestling family
include Psycho Clown, Interesting uh La Mescala, La Musca.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
So we have stumbachs we are we have now stumbled
across the actual canaverse, Yes, the Parka verse.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
Yes, we've done a new one now. But keep in mind,
like the Canaverse, there have been cease and desists.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
There absolutely has been this one.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
There was only kind of one, but that was towards
the original Laparca.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
Which is kind of crazy when you yes, he's also
fifty nine and he's still wrestling.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
I was a huge Laparka fane whenever I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Oh really, yes, the mask or just the.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Whole thing, the whole gimmick the day and seeing the
hitting people with chairs. What was really great is there
was a time that the entire Laparkat gimmick was he
would come out with a microphone and then someone would
be dubbing what he was saying. Oh, and so he
would then hold up signs where he's like, I'm not
saying that, like, because he would be talking trash about
(34:19):
let's say, like his opponent Scott Steiner, yeah, and just
insulting him, and Laparka would like throw the microphone down
and be like, no, no, that's not what I'm saying,
and the voice would continue on.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
See. So did you know that there is a stream
on YouTube right now that is just playing old wcws.
I did not, Yes, like continuously like pay per views, Thunder, Nitro,
WCW Saturday Night, okay, like all of them are going
through there. And I actually stumbled across that the other night. Okay, Yeah,
(34:53):
so I was going to actually bring that up because
I was like, it wasn't that, but I would just
I it was a laparka. He went out there, he
I think he hit somebody with a chair or something.
And then there's this voice over and I'm like, I
know that's not his voice. Yes, So okay, that makes
so much more sense to me.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
It's kind of like whenever they would do the uh,
the Takami sh Nuku and Funaki bits where Takami Shi
Nuku would say all this stuff and you know, then
he would hand the mic over to Funaki who would
be moving his mouth, yeah, and then all you would
hear would be indeed. So it's just kind of that
(35:33):
whole playing up on the you know, stereotypical overdubbing and
Godzilla movies where there's lots of movement that isn't syncing
with what's being said at all.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Yeah. Yeah, gotta love that kind of stuff.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
You did mention somebody, Scott Steiner And Okay, so I'm
I'm really confused about this big question that's going on
right now, which is like one hundred men versus one gorilla. Yes, okay,
So there's a few things, few questions I have. Is
it one hundred men at one time? Is it one
on one with the gorilla.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
If it's one on one, the gorilla is winning. Yeah,
super you know it depends on whose.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
Yeah. And that's where Scott Steiner comes in.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
I'm will let you take this, yes.
Speaker 5 (36:17):
Oh yes, because I absolutely love Scott Steiner. So there
have been so many takes that it would be an
entire episode of explaining them. But one person weighed in
on the fun big puppa pump. Ain't nobody finer than
Scottie Steiner, And he took to Twitter because I refuse
(36:38):
to call it anything else that isn't Twitter, to put
his two cents in, and I quote, let's say you've
got one hundred average men, no weapons, no trainings, just
fear in their eyes and dad bods in their way.
Then you've got one full grown, silver backed gorilla, six
hundred pounds of pure rage muscle and tree rip and power.
(36:58):
Now Here comes the math. Out of those one hundred men,
maybe twenty five percent don't even show up once they
see the gorilla. That's twenty five cowards eliminated immediately. Then
you got thirty three and one third of them trying
to talk it out. They're done. Another twenty percent just
stand there frozen in their pants. Now you're left with
(37:23):
about twenty one guys panicked, half committed, and getting launched
like lawn darts. But what if Big Papa pumps in
the mix. You just tip the freaking scale. Now it's
not one hundred men versus one gorilla, it's one gorilla
versus the genetic freak. And that spells disaster for that gorilla.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Yes, I'm the big bad booty Daddy English.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
I bet Scott Steiner would go out there and be
he'd look at the gorilla and be like he's fat.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Yes, yes, he absolutely would do that.
Speaker 5 (38:00):
Now that gorilla is gonna be sitting on the floor
looking at a banana, wanting to eat that banana, and
Scott stein is gonna come over and break its back
with a Steiner recliner. Uh, that's that gorilla is gonna
get up in a tree and the big bad Buddha
Dad is gonna hop up there and give it a
franken Steiner. He's not gonna see that coming. That's so
(38:21):
great because that gorilla he's over in the corner and
I've got my genetic freak and where I've got my
freaks behind me Because I'm the big bad boodhy daddy.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
See I this this right here, this tweet from Scott
Steiner brings nothing to the table but entertainment right now.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
Yes, well, that's that's all it needs to be. Absolutely
I think the one hundred men versus one gorilla the
idea was put out there of well, what happens if
we have one genetic freak? Because then it's not one
hundred men versus one gorilla. The question needs to be
what happens when you have one genetic freak versus one
(39:04):
hundred gorillas? Because everybody knows that Scott stein is the winner,
and that spells disaster sacrifice for you. Smo Joe Mojoe.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
Oh wow, yeah, yeah, speaking of Scott Steiner his family, yes, breaker, Yes, uh,
this is one thing I wanted to talk about with you.
We go to the main event.
Speaker 5 (39:30):
Yes, because I definitely have. I do not shy away
from my opinions.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Yep. Yeah, you know, I think that's a bit of
an understatement.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
Yes, yep, I'm talking to you Bill Golbert, who has
a finisher?
Speaker 4 (39:45):
Yes, well, Ron, what's who's who has no spear in your.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
I am only going to be talking about the the
the male wrestlers. Yeah, because I certainly believe that not
everyone should do a spear. I have mentioned this times
off the show. Looking at you, Cope, I'm looking at you.
Jay Uso. Yeah, jay Uso has one of the worst
(40:15):
spears and weakest spears I have ever seen, and absolutely
needs to stop doing that because it diminishes the idea
of a finishing movie. Heuso, your spear sucks.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
I will say other things, but I can't Yep. He cannot.
Uh best spear, bron Breaker. Bron Breaker's spear is better
than Goldberg spear.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
You know, I'm not going to argue with that.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
The speed, the velocity, the dog faced grimlin background. Baby,
his spear is a genetic freak. Baby. You cannot make
that spear in a chemistry lab.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Baby, No, No, that the fact when he is running
back and forth and running the ropes, the ring should
not move like that.
Speaker 5 (41:01):
No, it is.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
There is a lot of movement, yes, like and that's
just one man doing that. Yes, And if you think
about it, I mean, compared to us, bron Breaker is
a rather sizable person. But compared with WWE The Land
of the Giants, bron Breger is really not that big.
Speaker 5 (41:19):
No, but he is a genetic freak.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
He is.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
He is a freak athlete, He's a freak of nature.
He is.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Yes, But yeah, I don't. I'm not a fan of
of Cope Edge, Adam Coplan, whatever you want to talk him,
call him.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
I'm not a fan of his spirit. I honestly, I
think with him his hair helped. That's true, because it
helped with the movement and the selling of it. And
now that he's got short hair, it looks terrible. I
think it looks better than Christian cages.
Speaker 4 (41:50):
That's true.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
But they in a way, they they both suck.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
I think I liked his educution. Oh, I felt like
that was a much better finisher than the spear.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
Well.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
I get having a finisher that you can put on anybody. Yeah,
but if it doesn't look impactful, then what is it exactly?
You know, Like he had the downward spiral, which he
could put on anyone. It just didn't look great.
Speaker 4 (42:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (42:19):
The execute the eeducution a whole lot better. The kill switch,
I'm prettier. You can put on anyone. Yeah, and it
looks good. Don't do a spear Christian cage, don't do it.
Jay Uso. I don't think anything he does looks good.
In all honesty, I don't. I don't get the as
a tag team, Jimmy and Jay worked well, Yes, because
(42:42):
you know you have similar moves, that you have two
small guys. It goes back to the whole thing of
like rock and Roll Express, Midnight Rockers, the Rockers. You
have two small guys who work well and they use
their speed, but as singles, it doesn't work. The spear
is terrible. The spear works for Roman.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Yeah, but also now I don't know Jay USO's like
athletic background, but Roman's a.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
Fortemore college football player.
Speaker 4 (43:07):
Yes, So like, if he cannot perform a proper spear,
how did you make it to the collegiate level, the
Division one collegiate level in football? Yeah, without properly tackling somebody.
Speaker 5 (43:20):
But it goes back to not everyone should do a spear,
Not everybody should do a DDT. No, And I still
think to this day a DDT should be a finisher.
You are dropping someone flat on their head. It should
not just be essentially a rest hold at this point.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
Yeah, same for a superkick.
Speaker 5 (43:39):
Yes, but let me ask you, Jeff, best spear.
Speaker 4 (43:43):
I have to agree with you on Brian Bright.
Speaker 5 (43:45):
Of course you do, because it's the correct answer. Well,
it's I would ask if my wife were here, I
would ask her and she would say, what is a spear?
And I would say good enough. That's exactly what Jay
Uso was told whenever it was say hey, you need
to do a spear, and he was like, what's a spear?
And it shows fair fair enough.
Speaker 4 (44:06):
Let us know who you think has the best spear.
Speaker 5 (44:08):
Let me ask you this, Joe, who is the worst?
Speaker 4 (44:10):
Who has the worst?
Speaker 5 (44:11):
Yea, oh of modern I mean you know that you
can think of, because there's people who have done spears
that I know is going to be terrible.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
Yeah, yeah, I'm really not. Just to go back to it,
I'm really not that fan of an edge of edges. Yeah,
I'm just I get the hair. It made sense then
now that you pointed that out, but it's still I
still am not that big of a fan of it. Yeah,
I just I don't know. Maybe I don't like it now.
(44:40):
Maybe that's what it is. Maybe I'm just a grouchy
old man. I don't like it now. When I was
a kid, it was cool seeing edge, you know, being
in the corner of the ring, and.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
You know it's the taunt and everything with it.
Speaker 4 (44:51):
Yeah, yeah, then the hair and all of that.
Speaker 5 (44:54):
But I've just look in the face, yeah, eyes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
Which really kind of went hand in hand with Randy
Orton and you know, rated Arkaas and everything that really
played into them. But yeah, I'm not a fan of Edges,
never have been. I mean, like I said, outside of
maybe when I was a kid and I was watching
EDGE on Monday Night Raw and everything, even then, I don't.
(45:18):
I just it's it's it's one of those things like
it was cool when you're younger, then you get older
and you're like, hey, I'm not that big of a
fan of this.
Speaker 5 (45:25):
Yeah. It's funny because like I'm kind of like Barney. Yeah,
I'm I'm trying to go through this catalog, this rolodex
because I'm old in my mind of wrestling spears that
I've seen, and I have seen officials referees when they
fight do a better spear, and I find it more
(45:45):
enjoyable than jay Usso's spear.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
I can do a spear.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
I cannot explain how much I do not like jay
USO's spear.
Speaker 4 (45:55):
It's not Yeah, it's really not that great.
Speaker 5 (45:58):
And it's just it could be the fact that he
beat Gunter, he made well. He how quickly Gunter tapped
out did not make sense.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
He's supposed to be an annihilator and yeah, like he
gets tapped out by jay.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
Usso and it just wrestling is is for everyone. Okay.
I am not the writer. I am not saying that
because it's something I disagree with that it's wrong. Every
the great thing is it's all in the eye of
the beholder. Yeah, and I firmly believe that everyone is
in towed to their own opinion unless it comes to
basic human decency. Absolutely, but jay Uso should not be
(46:49):
the world champ.
Speaker 4 (46:51):
I agree. I just I don't see it. I don't
see it. And we will leave that right there. And
now we have the main event.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
It looks like all the top has been done. It's
time for the main event.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
And now we have the main event where we go
ahead and let you know what your upcoming week of
professional wrestling is going to look like nationally, internationally, and
of course locally internationally and nationally. Wednesday May fourteenth and
Saturday May seventeenth. Aw Beach Break a two part television
special airing as Wednesday Night Dynamite and Saturday Night Collision.
Speaker 5 (47:30):
You're not Besh at the Beach, You're not Hogwild.
Speaker 4 (47:35):
Those were very good pay per views. Saturday May seventeenth,
the National Wrestling Alliance will hold the Crockett Cup, which
will feature WWE's Natalia, or rather Natty Knightheart, who will
challenge at Kinsey Page for the NWA World Women's Championship.
Speaker 5 (47:53):
I want Natty Knightheart to dominate, Yes, I want. She
deserves so much credit in wrestling, but her mic skills
have never been great.
Speaker 4 (48:06):
That's true. But with the promo she just recently put out,
I'm I'm I'm I like Natty Nightheart and Italia.
Speaker 5 (48:13):
Yes, no, Natty Nightheart in that promo, very intense. There's
one thing I would have changed. We talked about that
off air. Yes, there is a word that she screamed that,
in my opinion, shouldn't have been scrumped. No, it should
have been soft. It should have been a You have
to lean in and really listen to what she's saying
because she is talking at a point where you she
(48:36):
wants you to pay attention to every syllable. It's a
Jake Robert style promo very much. That you're so mad
that you can't even raise your voice. You have to
just you're so mad. That is quiet that I want done.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
Nerving.
Speaker 5 (48:54):
Yeah, because the amount of pain that I'm going to
inflict on you, Josh Cole when you get back, because
you are not here with my title. No, not happening. No,
welcome to the grill at ASMR Well help you sleep.
Speaker 4 (49:13):
Tonight On Saturday and Sunday, May seventeenth and eighteenth, Game

inviting name very.
Speaker 4 (49:45):
Much, which will be the fifth annual Spider Crowley Memorial
Show Meet and greet at seven o'clock and Bell Thomas
seven thirty. And it's free, Yes it is. The rest
of these are on Saturday, May seventeenth. Saturday today, May seventeenth,

Speaker 4 (50:09):
Which will be held at the Leetown Community Center in Carneysville,
West Virginia. Bell thom is seven o'clock and front row

Speaker 5 (50:19):
That's ten dollars plus two. Yes.

Volunteer Fire Department in Ridgely, West Virginia. Bell time is
seven o'clock and front row is twenty five dollars while
general admission is twenty dollars. Elite Pro also has a
weekly show, typically every Thursday at seven o'clock at the
Indie Theater in Kaiser, West Virginia, with a ten dollars admission.
Speaker 5 (50:43):
Elite Pro didn't name this one, so I'm just doing
this voice for the fun of it.
Speaker 4 (50:49):
Maximum Velocity Wrestling will present Remember the Fallen two at
the West six Community Center in Nitro, West Virginia. Bell
Thomas seven o'clock and front row is fifteen dollars while
