According to Fightful, select word is backstage that Adam Cole
has suffered yet another concussion. The belief is that he
suffered this within the past week. The decision to pull
him from the show came early yesterday morning, so Saturday morning,
his All In match was changed to a fatal four
way match for the vacant TNT title, with Dustin Rhodes

and Sammy Gavar pulling double duty. Dustin Rhodes did win
the vacant title. Now, Adam Cole has not been in
the ring very much.

Yeah. Now, the TNT.

Title itself has been a little more visible than it
was with Daniel Garcia. But they've had Adam Cole one
commentary a lot on collision. Okay, some people rumor has
it is that he We don't know. We think that
maybe this might be the end for Adam Cole's career.

Really, he did talk yesterday.

He came out and he spoke to the fans at
aw all in he mentioned the word retirement, okay, and
it was you know, it's not that he's retiring now,
but he kind of needs to take this into consideration
because this has been something that has plugged him is
concussion injuries.

You know, for some reason, it seems like concussions are
one of the major issues in professional wrestling. For the
life of me, I couldn't imagine. And why Yeah, because
it's all fake. Well, according to some people it is.
It's scripted. Okay, We've had this conversation before and we're
about to have it again. I'm okay with that.

Yeah, because some people might tune into this on fourteen
ninety am or five eighty am.

Because we are West Virginia's only radio show we about
professional wrestling. There's many radio shows in West Virginia.

but we are the only professional wrestling radio show in

Look at seth Rawlins. Seth Rawlins right now, we'll just
throw this out there. He he may be out. He
had an injury on Saturday Night's main Events.

So fightful select is reporting that seth Rawlins is legitimately
injured in his match with La Knight at Saturday Night's
main event. You could see Rawlins he's performing a moon
salt off of the ropes and he's he lands flat
on his feet, but he immediately brings his right leg
up and starts favoring his right knee.

Now, is that the same knee that he injured whenever
he did the sunset bomb out of the corner?

I think so. I'm almost positive that might be. That
might be the same injury, because, like concussions with Adam Cole,
knee injuries have been a big problem for seth Rawlins
now because of this, Okay, Brian Alvarez reported that the
last forty minutes of Saturday Night's main event had to

be rescripted, like on the five. Apparently something was supposed
to happen that involves seth Rawlins last night, Saturday Night,
and it did not happen because of his injury.

Again, it's a move that he has.

Performed one hundred thousand times, thousands of times, hundreds of
times whatever, and just so happens, this was the one
he lands just a little awkwardly and does something to
his knee. We don't know the extent of the injury,
but we do know that it We do know, according

to reports, that he is legitimately injured, which apparently which
real quick throws a huge wrench apparently into SummerSlam. Well yeah, yeah,
like they apparently there's there's all kinds of plans they
had for seth Rawlins and Company. And yeah, because of this,
they they're gonna be scrambling a little bit.

Well, okay, if let's say he's out for over a year.

Yeah, because he was out for over a year close
to a year the last time he injured his knee.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah, but he has the money in the bank and
you have to cash that in within that year to
money in the bank. So do they strip him of it?
Does he hold on to it and never gets to
cash it in? What goes on that's true? Do they
do a free bird rule? And now it's brown breaker
or Paul Hayman? I don't know. Yeah, I don't know either.

I this is is very much uncharted territory for something
like money in the bank.

And I guess here's my thing. I would wait.

Until you got word on what his recovery time is
going to be. What injury does he have. If it's
a few months, take him off TV.

I mean, I definitely hope if both of them want
to get back in the ring.

I hope they can, Yes, but I hope that they
put their health in front of their profession. Yes, which
it seems like that's exactly what's happening. Well, that's what
needs to happen, yes, with any profession. Yeah, And we
know and this is more of a more of an
old school wrestling mentality of I'm injured, I'm going to
push my way through this match. I'm going to push

through this these injuries that I have, and they just
keep mounting and mounting and outing until it gets to
the point that you can't you can barely walk. We
have the right medicine these days, we have the right technology,
the right science and everything to help such injuries, to
help people you know who who suffer these types of

injuries in athletic settings. So with that in mind, I
do I really hope that they do take their health
very seriously. It looks like Adam Cole definitely is. I
hate to hear him mention retirement. Yeah, but if that
is the route that he thinks that he needs to go,

more power to him. It's not the first time we've
seen it, and I'm sure it's not going to be
the last time we're going to see this.

No, I mean, and if it is retirement, I hate
that because you should always be able to retire on
your own terms, but sometimes that decision has to be
made for.

You, exactly, and unfortunately that decision has to be made
for you, and not everybody gets the ability to retire
on their own terms. Yes, and speaking of that, Yeah,
Goldberg had his final.

Goldberg did indeed have his final match with Gunter at
last night, Saturday Night's main event. They went about fifteen
minutes in the ring, played to Goldberg's strength.

So they gave each other their own concussion.

I know they did not they wrestled a slower paced match.
Goldberg did have a brace on his knee, so he
worked Gunther worked the knee over a lot on him.
And I think, listen, Guther's the man. He pulled a fifteen.

Yeah, a fifteen minute good match out of Goldberg, out
of an what almost sixty year old Goldberg.

a nineteen and I want to say playing going to

in that squash match at survivorcy. I had a lot
of people who hadn't followed wrestling in a long time
come and talk to me like, hey, I saw Goldberg's back,

and they're sitting there talking to me about it, and
I'm like, okay, cool, cool cool, which that one was
okay up until they put the title on them.

the fiend. I think the initial Bill Goldberg experiment in

You book it like that, when you book matches like that,
when you book shows like that to counter program this,
like just to do just to counter program AEW on
some of their bigger shows, you are hurting your own product. Yes,
you are just being a detriment to your own product,
which is unfair to the talent. You look petty, yes,

and that listen, my last name is petty. And I
don't approve that of that level of pettiness. I'd like
a good dose, like if Brett Hart came out and did,
in fact, induct Goldberg Bill Goldberg.

I will laugh because I'm like, Okay, that's a level
of petty. I don't know if I want to aspire
to it, but I can respect it. To constantly be
counter programming aew and essentially showing everybody, yeah, they are
our competition.

at because to me, it's punching down. Yes, Like why

just doing that is a bigger is a bigger flex
than constantly counter programming, because then it's like, Okay, we're

All match to win the International Championship and become the

retired and the Unified Championship is recognized as its own title. Also,

has suffered yet another concussion. The belief is that he
suffered this within the past week. The decision to pull
him from the show came early yesterday morning, so Saturday morning,
his All In match was changed to a fatal four
way match for the vacant TNT title, with Dustin Rhodes

and Sammy Gavar pulling double duty. Dustin Rhodes did win
the vacant title. Now, Adam Cole has not been in
the ring very much.

Title itself has been a little more visible than it
was with Daniel Garcia. But they've had Adam Cole one
commentary a lot on collision. Okay, some people rumor has
it is that he We don't know. We think that
maybe this might be the end for Adam Cole's career.

He came out and he spoke to the fans at
aw all in he mentioned the word retirement, okay, and
it was you know, it's not that he's retiring now,
but he kind of needs to take this into consideration
because this has been something that has plugged him is
concussion injuries.

You know, for some reason, it seems like concussions are
one of the major issues in professional wrestling. For the
life of me, I couldn't imagine. And why Yeah, because

had an injury on Saturday Night's main Events.

So fightful select is reporting that seth Rawlins is legitimately
injured in his match with La Knight at Saturday Night's
main event. You could see Rawlins he's performing a moon
salt off of the ropes and he's he lands flat
on his feet, but he immediately brings his right leg
up and starts favoring his right knee.

Now, is that the same knee that he injured whenever
he did the sunset bomb out of the corner?

I think so. I'm almost positive that might be. That
might be the same injury, because, like concussions with Adam Cole,
knee injuries have been a big problem for seth Rawlins
now because of this, Okay, Brian Alvarez reported that the
last forty minutes of Saturday Night's main event had to

be rescripted, like on the five. Apparently something was supposed
to happen that involves seth Rawlins last night, Saturday Night,
and it did not happen because of his injury.

Again, it's a move that he has.

Performed one hundred thousand times, thousands of times, hundreds of
times whatever, and just so happens, this was the one
he lands just a little awkwardly and does something to
his knee. We don't know the extent of the injury,

to reports, that he is legitimately injured, which apparently which
real quick throws a huge wrench apparently into SummerSlam. Well yeah, yeah,
like they apparently there's there's all kinds of plans they
had for seth Rawlins and Company. And yeah, because of this,
they they're gonna be scrambling a little bit.

Well, okay, if let's say he's out for over a year.

Yeah, because he was out for over a year close
to a year the last time he injured his knee.

you have to cash that in within that year to

Does he hold on to it and never gets to
cash it in? What goes on that's true? Do they
do a free bird rule? And now it's brown breaker

have the right medicine these days, we have the right technology,
the right science and everything to help such injuries, to
help people you know who who suffer these types of

do I really hope that they do take their health
very seriously. It looks like Adam Cole definitely is. I
hate to hear him mention retirement. Yeah, but if that
is the route that he thinks that he needs to go,

seen it, and I'm sure it's not going to be
the last time we're going to see this.

that because you should always be able to retire on
your own terms, but sometimes that decision has to be

Goldberg did have a brace on his knee, so he
worked Gunther worked the knee over a lot on him.

sold merchandise. Yeah, like that is the wonderful most That
is the great thing about local wrestling is how much
access you get.

Ford to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

This past Tuesday, at the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling event,
there were a few title changes over DDT Pro Wrestling's
iron Man Heavy Metalweight Championship.

First, Suzumi defeated Yoshihiko Asagawa in a twenty seven on
one handicap match close it was, which was also Hasigawa's
retirement match. Mazuki then pinned Suzumi, followed by a pin

was struck by a plastic hammer named Piko Pico, which
