Speaker 1 (00:08):
Are you ready? Why my son?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Oh yeah, Jeff Deal Boque Deal, the Queen of the clock.
I got one hundred and forty one and two those
ten winning but brought up.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I am bad and they know I'm bad.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Why I'm a man our I'm look there with the
dog you speak this dime shout. Welcome to the grill
Out from the heart. That's William West, Virginia. Here's your host, Hollywood,
Chef Petty. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the grill Out.
(00:48):
I'm your host, Hollywood, Jeff Petty, Episode ninety one. I
am joined by both of my wonderful and chaotic co hosts,
both of them. First off, the reflection of perfection Jason.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Like greatness himself. Ladies and gentlemen. When you're good, you're good.
When you're great, you're me. And I'm sitting here in
this chair because I finally learned how to sit.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
How's that back?
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Not good? Not good at all?
Speaker 4 (01:19):
That's also Josh Cole, youre real champion. Really, what you
want to tell us about that? Jeff?
Speaker 1 (01:25):
What that that I actually had a successful defense?
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, you violated the terms of the agreements agreement. Well,
you're you're going to say it.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
I'm gonna say it.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Oh no, what agreement we see?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
You know a E W O in predictions? Yeah, you
know I had some rather weird predictions. Yeah, yeah, see
I threw the predictions because Jeff and I had an
agreement that he would throw evolution. Why so he can
become the shortest rang champion, to have a shortest rain
champion on our history, because currently you two are tigh.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, okay, so let me get this there. You're just
trying to break more of my records.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yes, but but do you want that record broken? Not
not broken?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Or but is it a record that has my name
on it?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
But you share it with me?
Speaker 5 (02:20):
There's an aster?
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yeah, yeah, that's fine because it's still my name on it.
The best thing about the show, as everyone who listens
will tell you they can't even remember who Josh is,
you know.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Sadly, unfortunately Adam did apologize for you.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Oh how do you forget the babe? Though?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
I know it's pretty easy.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
The MyD thing is we've been calling John. I've had
Josh's phone number saved in my phone as Josh cold
Baby for several years. Yeah, we've been calling him Josh
Colebabay since episode one. Yeah, reflection perfectionate come until a
few episodes later.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
That's true. So but you see, I got that charasma
Josh m hmm, I've got that charasma.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Well, mister Hollywood decided to go into business for himself.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
That's why I'm the real champion.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
That wouldn't gonna work for me, brother, Nope, No, But
why why didn't I even know anything about this? We
we had to keep you in the dark, uh, for
a variety of reasons, one of them being just how
you reacted to hearing that one of your records are
going to be broken.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
So, but it wasn't. It wasn't because thankfully you went
into business for yourself, really took that Hollywood.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Name to harst successful defense a retention without tying yeah
you know.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yes, And uh, that's why there was no show last week.
I was out selling writing my first actual successful defense.
So yes, that's why we didn't have a show.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
After almost two years.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
After almost two yearss, after almost two years, I finally
successfully defend.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Even if you're not the real one.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
The bad thing is I I thought that if I
threw the if I, if I threw the title, all
right tossed it. If I threw the match by giving
ridiculous picks, mine luck would have been.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
It was.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
It was going to come true. So that's why I
just did my normal thing because I'm like, ah, I
don't ever successfully defend it anyway, So it didn't matter here.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Now you know your formula going forward.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
That's been my forty That's been my formula home the long.
Just for some reason, that one was the one that
it did.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
A little say though.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Evolution was actually a pretty good show if you didn't
watch it. Yeah, and NAILI cashed in and great cash in.
She won. He's a champion.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
It was a great weekend of professional wrestling in general.
But I will say this past week of professional wrestling
has been a little on the sad side. First off,
former w W Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne did pass
away this past week at age seventy six. Ozzy, a
lot of people don't realize, is a professional wrestling fan.
(05:24):
He is from England. England has a storied history with
professional wrestling. He was he did some work with ww
early on, and he also did he he also well
you know what.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Well, he guest hosted the episode of Role he did.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
He guest hosted the episode of Role DX in one segment.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yep. He also Survivor's series a few years ago. Him
and Black Sabbath had put were able to do war
pigs for the theme song for it. I mean, warpigs
area a song, but give them the rights to use
that as a.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Thing, even like maybe did the cold open a little
bit tea?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
He did? It was actually it was actually a really
good cold open, And I've seen some people say that
because of that, maybe Survivor series from here on out
should exclusively have war pigs as they're especially with war
games now attached to it. Yeah, have war pigs as
the official theme for it moving forward. I don't have
(06:20):
too I don't have too much of a problem with that.
Survivor series definitely is the weaker of the Big five
pay per views pls whatever you wanna call them, So
I don't really have too much of a problem.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
With I do have a quick question thought out of
Survivor series, the very first one is the only living
member of that Ted Dbiassi, I think, so I.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Don't remember who's in the first one.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Put up on Google and to what Jason is alluding to?
This past week. On Thursday, July twenty fourth, it was
announced that hal Cogan had passed away at his home
in Clearwater, Florida. Officials are saying that he passed away
due to a cardiac arrest. He was seventy one. SmackDown
opened with a ten bell some loot to Hogan, where
Triple H also spoke of Hogan's impact on the business.
(07:08):
There was also a video package, but with no mention
of his time in TNA, probably for a good reason.
Hogan and Eric Bischoff were set to launch a professional
promotion for amateur wrestlers called Real Real American Freestyle Wrestling,
which is still planning to go ahead with its inaugural
event on August thirtieth, which will broadcast on Fox Nation.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
I'm actually kind of interested in next. I've always been
had this weird thing about how wrestling is the only
professional sport that's not legitimate.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
So this will be interesting.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I have to say this,
I don't know how well it's going to do. One.
It's in a rather water down It's it's showing up
and rather, I want to say, sort of a water
down market between professional wrestling, MMA combat sports in general. Yeah,
but I don't know how well it's going to do
(07:58):
now now that Hogan is not attached to it, because
Hogan has more of a mainstream appeal, main like name
recognition versus Eric Bischoff, which.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Then again with this unfortunate passing, it might even help
it onheen of those weird defects you know.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
May it may be Hogan was unfortunately the second of
two ww Hall of Famers, as I said with Ozzy Osbourne, Uh,
he passed away. Ozzie passed away on July twenty second,
at the age of seventy six. Interesting fact about Hogan
and very fitting in a way. In two thousand and two,
he was the WWE Champion when the company was renamed
from WWF to WWE, so he was the last wrestler
(08:38):
to hold the title as the WWF Champion and subsequently
the first to hold it as the WWE Champion. The
last image of the final live broadcast as the WWF
was him holding the championship. Yeah, and I have to
say this, uh with Hawk Hogan, and I know there
(09:01):
has Cody mentioned last night, well, a couple of nights ago.
We're recording this on Saturday. Mentioned on SmackDown about how
it is it. Hogan leaves behind a very complicated and
mixed bag of a legacy.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
You can like the art without liking the artist. Yes,
Hulk Hogan was and is an icon. Terry Belaya is
not Hulk Hogan, That's true. Terry Belaya the person uh
has said a lot of things that I particularly do
(09:40):
not agree with. I second that, and he has views
that I do not agree with. But growing up, I
cannot go away from the fact that I was a
huge Hulk Hogan fane.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
As a lot of a lot of people, a lot
of a lot of kids during that generation were hawk
ofm maniacs, you know, I mean, HAWLK Hogan was one
of those. He was pretty much if we're talking like
nineteen eighties professional wrestling, Halk Hogan was the face of it.
(10:16):
He was the face of the Golden era. Like it,
love it, hate it, whatever. That's just how the how
the chips fell there, Hogan. You know, I actually real
quick I watched Dark Side of the Ring superstar Billy
Graham this past week and they were sitting there talking
about how Billy Graham really and truly was ahead of
(10:39):
his time. He was, I mean a lot of what
you see from Halk Hogan came directly from Billy Graham.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yes, the brother and everything, the brother, the Boa, the posing.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
At about the only thing I could think of from
Superstar Billy Graham that did not that Hogan did not
pick up on, and it's unique to Superstar is his
cadence in his promos because Superstar has a very his
I am such a fan of Superstar Billy Graham's promos
so much. There's a reason why he's in the opening
for this show. He has a very distinct cadence to
(11:13):
his words. Yes, Hogan does not copy that cadence, But
everything else, the bleach blonde, the the yeah, the python's,
the twenty four inch pythons, brother Brother, like, all of that,
all of that is Superstar Billy Graham. You could make
the same argument for Rick Flair with the nature boy
stuff versus like, I think, what was it, Buddy Rogers? Yes, yeah,
(11:34):
so like at of it was directly ripped from Buddy Rogers.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
So really quick to jump back. The first Survivor series
included Team Hogan versus Team Andre. Team Andre was Andrea
the Giant, one Man, Gang King Kong, Bundy Butcher, Reid
and Rick Rude against Hulkgan, Paul Orn, Dwarf, Don Morocco, Ken,
Peterra and Bam Bam Bigelow.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Hmmm, that was just the main event. I think that
whole card with serpiversaries matches.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a what's And also was serrav
series the second pay per view the ww F, Like
like you had WrestleMania, then you had SERRAVI sies is
that how it went?
Speaker 5 (12:13):
I think so?
Speaker 1 (12:14):
And then it was real rumble and then I think SummerSlam.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
I think Summer Times before Rumble.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Okay, I might be wrong, I know, I can tell
you this much refers to was not a pay per.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
View, So yeah, okay, okay, but we did not even
is he not on the first Oh wow?
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Now I don't know. Maybe it was the next.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Year maybe maybe, but yeah, hall Cogan definitely leaves behind
Terry Blea leaves behind a very complicated legacy. Definitely don't
agree with stuff that's coming out of his mouth. We
have never shot away from our thoughts on hul Cogan
and the way he has conducted him Terry Blea, let
me say, Terry Belaya, how he has conducted himself outside
(13:01):
of the Ring or even backstage with the whole creative
control stuff with w CW. I mean, there's the infamous
match between him and Jeff Jared at Bashing to Bashing
the Beach two thousand and you know, and Jeff Charett
goes out, lays down because Hogan didn't want to drop
the title to him.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
And then kind of ruining the whole Steam comeback.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Ruining the whole steam comeback. There was the whole thing
with Undertaker where he was trying to say the Undertaker
injured him and what was it ninety one, ninety or
ninety one, okay, and you got yeah, yeah, saying all
of that, and that just they's just scratching the surface.
(13:41):
But without him wrestling, whether you love it or you hate,
the way wrestling is now it is it does not
look the way it does without that piece. And what
I was getting at also with Superstar Billy Graham, they
said in Dark Side of the Ring that super Star
Billy Graham if nineteen if nineteen seventy four, Superstar was
(14:05):
in nineteen eighty four, Haul Cogan wouldn't have been a thing,
Yes it would. They would have went with Superstar Billy
Graham and Hogan, like I said, derived a lot from Superstar,
almost entirely from Superstar. Uh. But yeah, so you don't.
You don't have wrestling to what it is today.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Something I find kind of funny people online are like
when people say what you just said, like, oh, you're
just believing WWE's revision is history stuff. WWE does do
a lot of revisionist history. Absolutely, that is not one
of them. That like Hogan being this big impact is
not one of them.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
No, And and also like let's like just to dig
a little deeper with that, we're talking like the territories.
The territories in my opinion. Now, granted I was three
years old in nineteen ninety eight when the Attitude error
was at its height. I don't you know. I started
with the Attitude Era at that age and went on
(15:02):
from there. I've went back and watched stuff, so you know.
And maybe it's because I don't have as much of
an emotional attachment to it as some people do, whereas
I do with the Attitude Era and something. Sports entertainment wise,
I don't think that professional wrestling. I think it would
have survived. I definitely think it would have survived, but
(15:22):
it would not have been as mainstream as it is now.
It would not have been a mainstream at all without
the rock and Wrestling connection and HAULK Hogan and that
first WrestleMania.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Well, I mean from nineteen eighty five, from September fourteenth,
nineteen eighty five to October eighteenth, nineteen eighty six, with
reruns airing until June twenty seventh, nineteen eighty seven, there
was Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling, an American animated television
series that originally aired on CBS Saturday mornings, so part
(15:55):
of a Saturday Morning cartoon lineup, Hulk Hogan's Rocking Wrestling,
Yes not Rock and Wrestling yep, not WWF. Rock and
Wrestling specifically Hawk Hogan's.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yes so yeah, like professional and in the eighties with
MTV and stuff really taking off, wrestling kind of had
to do that, like in a way, it had to
go take take this route in order to in order
to continue and go down the road that it has,
(16:29):
whether you love it or you hate it. The older
I've gotten, the more I have me personally, I tend
to not enjoy sports entertainment as much as I enjoy
professional wrestling. It's you know, but that's just my cup
of tea versus other people's cups of tea. And here's
another thing I will say, as far as impact from
Halk Hogan, some people are gonna hate me for saying this.
(16:52):
And this involves AW. And I've said on the program
before about how much of a fan of AW I am.
If you do not have Haul Cogan joining the Outsiders
in ninety six, am I correct on that? I think
it's Baschett the Beach in ninety six with Scott Hall,
(17:12):
Kevin Ash.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Maybe if Hogan does not join the Outsiders and form
the nWo and the NBO takes off the way it does,
you do not have the Bullet Club because the Bullet
Club itself derives a lot takes a lot of inspiration
from the nWo. If you do not have the Bullet Club,
(17:33):
then you do not have the chance for the elite
to form within the Bullet Club. And if you do
not have the elite to form within the Bullet Club,
you don't have all elite wrestling.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Yeah, AW can put up an RP.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
There you go. I mean, that's I.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Know he was banned from your company in any appearance.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
But yeah, exactly. But that's right there, and some people
are gonna hate me for saying that. I mean, I'm
sure there's other things.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
That's well, we kind of talked about it.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah, it's reputation. Yeah, and they didn't really want anything
to do with them. Also, I think Eric Beshoff's beef
with them does not help matters. Yeah, but yeah, Uh,
sad that he passed. Don't wish death on anybody. Hul
(18:25):
Cogan in general, I mean, his style really is not
something that appealed to me really. Ever, hul Cogan probably
one of the most influential, I don't want to say
the most influential, one of the most influential figures in
professional wrestling passed away this past week. Moving on, ww
and Fandango the ticket service not t na's JDC formerly
(18:47):
known as Fandango and WWE. Yes, we'll be bringing the
first two night SummerSlam to Regal theaters across the country.
All right. You can order your tickets now, get a
single night, two I could or a two night bundle
that includes a special WWE fan Dango shirt. In our
area here in Charlesto, West Virginia, you can go to
the Regal Theater in Nitro. Just make sure you pre
(19:10):
order your tickets.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Yeah, I'm not going.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I probably probably can't get off work.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
No, I'm just I don't like being around a lot
of other people, you know.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, I kind of understand that.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
So I will watch it at home, yep, where I
can have my own popcorn.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
But the movie theater popcorn is so good.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Well, here's what you can do. You can go buy
the movie theater popcorn and then take it home, because
then at my house. I don't know about you all,
I don't have any screaming kids.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Yeah, so that's why I don't even go to movies anymore.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
I don't have any screaming kids. I dog he's got kids.
I'm not heth No, I used to love going to movies.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
I can't stand it now, people talking them the whole
time I'm there to watch a movie.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
I've been to the theater since February.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Before COVID also, so real quick. I did find out
about the movie theater popcorn. Apparently it is sort of
a placebo effect in what way, Like, Okay, so what
you said that the movie theater popcorn tastes better? Yeah,
it tastes better because you're at the movie theater. They
make it the same way as any other place.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
But you said I don't want butter.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
I like it butter.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
I like it dry.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
I like kettle corn.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Kettle corn is not bad, It's okay.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
I don't like caramel corn, though.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah, I start drawing the line there, yea. Even though
like around Christmas time, there'll be one of those tens.
I will destroy a ten if somebody doesn't stop me.
Obviously I won't.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
I will just eat the popcorn. Why are you destroying
the tin? I could reuse that tin real quick.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Before we get to on this day in wrestling History,
we have a quick update for the G One Climax.
Gabe Kid is out of the tournaments altogether due to
an injury in his opening match with Kenoskate the cash Den.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Oh come on, Gabe, Yeah, oh on.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
All of his matches will be forfeited and his opponents
will receive automatic wins. Gabe Kid was in the B block,
so everybody in B block will receive two points for
that forfeit. The G One Comics will continue until the
finals on August seventeenth, and one more thing before we
do get to that. On this past week's episode of
NXT Canadian Wrestler All Ego, Ethan Page unveiled a custom
(21:24):
NXT North American Championship with the strap of the belt
painted like the Canadian flag, similar to when MGF had
his American Cha Championship last year.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
In a b.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Although Ethan Page did not official unofficially change the name
of the title, but rather made it look as if
Canada is the best country of North America. Now, let's
shift gears to one This day in wrestling history. January
(22:03):
twenty seventh, nineteen seventy eight, WWWF champion Bob Beckland wrestled
to a drawl with Antonio Nok in Tokyo, Japan. The
match was a two out of three falls match. Each
man scored one fall, but the sixty minute time limit
expired before the third fall could be decided. July twenty seventh,
(22:26):
nineteen ninety eight, WWF taped the first ever episode of
Sunday Night Heat at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California.
The taping marked the first time Sean McMahon was identified
by name on WWF programming, as he served as the
color commentator for the show, and then, finally July twenty seventh,
(22:49):
two thousand and three, WWE's Vengeance pay per view took
place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. In the
main events, Kurt Angle defeated Brock Lesner and The Big
Show in a triple threat match to win the WWE Championship.
Earlier in the show, Eddie Guerrero defeated Chris beIN Wa
in the final of a tournament to determine the first
(23:10):
United States Champion under the WWE banner. Yeah, we're gonna
take a quick break. When we come back, we're gonna
have predictions for WWE SummerSlam Night one. Stay tuned. It's
time for more the Grill Out. Here's Hollywood Jeff Petty.
(23:34):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to the Grill Out. I'm
your host, Hollywood, Jeff Petty, and I'm joined here with
the Reflection of Perfection Jason Likins, who absolutely knows that
this is the second segment of the show. Yes he does,
number two. Yes he knows that we took a commercial break.
(23:54):
That's Josh Cole Babe, the.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Real champion in his number two.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
In his own mind, he is the real champion.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Yeah, so let me ask you that I've never listened
to the show on the air. Uh is there actual commercials? No?
Speaker 1 (24:09):
No, well, it depends the way you listen to it.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Hey, out there.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
People are listening. We could use some commercials.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yeah. If you're a local business and you're looking to
get into advertising, we are looking for a sponsor, so
you can contact us to Grill at ninety five at
gmail dot com. We will forward all of that information
to Dale Cooper, who is the operations manager here. But
this weekend we do have the first to night Summer Slam.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Yeah we do, Yes, Big SummerSlam ever, Yes, big Ley.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
It's at Mattlife Stadium.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Bigley Stadium in New Jersey, New Jersey. That's where some
of the big leest stadiums have ever been. Some people
say the big leest.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Yes, yes, yes they do. But uh, instead of doing
two separate defenses.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yes, right to be there, what you know, he's not
going to be there. WW Hall of Famer.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Goldberg, Bill Goldberg.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
He will never let us live this down.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Twenty eighteen seven years.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Even when the episode went out, Josh texted both of
us it was like, dude, y'all forget that that Goldberg,
not Bill Goldberg. Bill Goldberg was inducted into the WWE
Hall of Fame in twenty eighteen. Yes, we both forgot.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah, here's the thing. I am not upset about the
fact that I forgot.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
He's upset he didn't have, you know, a big, grandiose retirement.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
What Bill Goldberg not happy about something? Who is he
Brett Hart?
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Apparently he also both of them, not Ultimo Dragon.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah, I'm surprised we went this far into the too
An episode without that bit.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I have a doctor, you do he does have a
doctor doctor?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Never Ultimore Dragon.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
No, they were on a show together though.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Oh yeah, was it like in Japan? Or was like
early w w w ww Okay, it didn't work for him,
it ain't working for me, brother. But this weekend, and
like I said, it's going to be two nights of SummerSlam.
First the first time that it will be two nights,
will be at MetLife Stadium, Big List. If you want
(26:17):
to watch it on the big screen, you can go
to your local Regal theater that Big One. Order pre
ordered the tickets. Yeah, it starts at six o'clock. I
looked online at Regal Theater at least the local one
here in Nitro. They will start around four, so maybe
they're gonna start with the pre show there. Don't know
the logistics to it, but if you want to go
watch it at the movie theater, you are more inclined
(26:38):
to do so.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
Regal though, not like Markey.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yeah yeah, not Markey.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
It's only Regal Theater in for SummerSlam. After Summer Slam
they're going to expand to other ones.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
We just don't know what those other ones are.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
So it is only available at William Regal theaters.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yes, you know, it would be hilarious to go to
Regal theaters and see William Regal sitting right there. I would, sir,
can I get a picture?
Speaker 3 (26:59):
All games wool games?
Speaker 1 (27:03):
But anyway, so, yes, we have predictions here. We're gonna
go ahead and do Night one. Night two will be
next episode, and then we will find out who is
champion the episode after that, So episode ninety three will
be when people find out if we have a new champion.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
If yeah, we have one, so yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, back.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
To back to it Man the Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez
and Roxane Perez will be defending their WWE Women's Tag
Team Championship against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Josh as.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
Your real champion. We're gonna see some real champions win.
Charlott Fairlex Bliss.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
You're going with Flair Bliss. Okay, Blair Blair, that's right,
block A butla oh that's great. Okay, Jason, you know,
I think I'm gonna have to uh agree with Josh
over there and go Flare Bliss. All right, So you're
(28:05):
going Flair Bliss. That is exactly what I just said,
is I know, I'm just reiterating.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
So, Jeff, who you're going with?
Speaker 1 (28:12):
And why.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Are you losing?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
So?
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Who am I gonna go with? Oh? Man, A lot
of people didn't think that judgment never going to retain
their titles.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Just use your logic that you had an evolution and
just just go with it.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
You hear the condescending of that.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
I think I keep breathing heavily into the microphone. I'm sorry,
definitely me.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Sorry, It's okay, It's okay, it might be me. Also,
I'm fat, uh Flair Bliss.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Okay. So next we have Samysame versus carrying Cross with
Scarlet Josh, who do you have and why.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
I'm gonna go with the man who should have won
a Night of Champions Carrying Cross.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
You know, here's the thing I can't disagree with you.
I think they really need to be putting more behind
Cross because Cross is an amazing worker. He's amazing in
the ring, he's great in the.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
There's been a lot of like ground swell support for him.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
There should be.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Yeah, I like, anyway at your pick.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Sorry, no, no, no, I mean I'm going cross, Please
can get across.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Only downside at the moment is apparently his contract is
coming up in like a month or so, and they,
I guess, haven't had any discussions yet.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Here's the thing. They're going to give him some wins,
so he re signs, and then he'll be put back
into obscurity because they don't want him to.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Go elsewhere, going to catering. See you bring you bring
that up. And that's a good point, Josh about his contract.
And I too, am on the Carrying Cross bandwagon. I
feel like that they should. I feel like they should
(29:56):
strap the rocks terrible. But Ozzie would be okay with
your attempt. Yeah, he'd like, okay, mate, go for it.
But to me, WW is going to WW and I'm
going to go Samy's Aint Canada. Yeah, I'm going to
(30:18):
go Zaint on that one, all right. For the WWE
Women's Championship, Tiffany Stratton, we'll be defending her title against
Jade Cargill. Josh.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
So Originally one of the thoughts I had was that
Jade Cargill was going to win this and then Naomi
was going to cash in on her to win the title.
But they kind of threw that out with Naomi cashing
in at Evolution with the Women's World title.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
So now I am.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
I think they're going to pull the plug or pull
the trigger and go Jade Cargill still Cargil.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
I mean, here's thing, I have to also go Cargil.
I think Cargill is going to get it. You've you've
really been pushing for Dade Cargile. I think they have
a big star with her. They just I mean, this
is going to sound redundant, but have to use her right, yes,
And also I feel as if with Jade Cargill, she
(31:21):
is more fitted for the WWE than say aw I
feel like in the Land of the Giants, that's kind
of where she needs to be. Whereas like I understood
what they were trying to do in AEW But I
feel like in WWE they understand her character more, they
understand what's going on more with her, because again, she
(31:43):
fits the WWE mold better. But another person who also
fits that WWE mold is Tiffany.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Stratton homegrown talent.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
She is a homegrown talent, but we don't have Vince
in here. If VI's were the one booking this, I
would probably say Stratton because he does not like his
homegrown talent or anybody that is, you know, made their
name in WWE to get to go to have somebody
outside of ww go over them who made their name
(32:15):
outside of WWE. With that being said, I'm gonna go Cargo, Okay, yep, I.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
Was also gonna say I feel like Stratton has kind
of lost her luster a little bit lately.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Yeah, her her tidal reign has been very lackluster. I
think that they put the belt on her too early,
and well maybe not too early. I think they have
kept it on her longer than they should have.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Yeah. I think there was a little bit of crowd
support behind her, so they threw the title on her
and it has kind of just been lackluster.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
You know.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
I Yeah, I think that she Yeah, she definitely she
definitely had that that that crowd support, but it has
fizzled and it has it's it just has It's been
a very lackluster rain and yeah, so yeah, I'm gonna
go cardgo on that one. Next match is a tag
team match, something that everybody was asking for. Randy Orton
(33:17):
and John I asked for it. Randy Orton and Jelly
Roll will be taking on Drew.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
I do like Jelly rolls.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
I'm a fat guy, so I do taking on Drew
McIntyre and Logan Paul Josh.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
No, Jelly Roll is doing pretty good for himself. He's
lost a lot of weight, getting himself in shape, actually
dedicating himself to actually getting is done. Unlike another person celebrity, Uh,
Travis Scott. He ruined WrestleMania, Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
He very much did that match was I liked it
up until that point.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
Actually, I don't entirely blame him. I really blame the Rock. Yeah,
Travis Scott would have been fine if the Rock was
there too.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Yeah, because anyway Travis Scott is coming out there was
just ridiculous. But anyway, we're apparently.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Travis Scott lost his hardcore title to was it it
what's his name?
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Someone else?
Speaker 5 (34:10):
Because there was another celebrity someone else. Yeah, I can't
remember his name.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
He was setting in the crowd. They showed him with
the hardcourt title, like the one that Travis Scott has.
Huh okay that maybe in quotations hardcore title.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Maybe maybe he lost that title when his relationship with
the WWE fell out.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Well back to it.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Uh, I'm going chit is love, yeah, chit is life.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Like I could weirdly see Logan poll McIntire poll in
this out. But I'm going to go with Orton Jelly Roll.
I don't feel like they're gonna, you know, make the
jelly Roll lose on this one.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Orton Roll. Yeah, You're going Orton Roll, Randy Roll, Randy Roll. Okay, Jason,
I this is this is your most excited match, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:06):
Well, here's the thing. I think it's going to be
Drew mac and Tire and Logan Paul. Okay, but I
cannot pick Logan Paul. So I'm going to go with
Randy Roll.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
You know, I'm just I'm gonna retype it, Randy Roll.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
It just throws off the tongue.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
But it does.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
It does.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Rand You should name an actual role after him, yeah,
or just.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Name Randy Orton got into the best shape of his
life to come back to Summerslan tag team with jelly Roll.
You know, yeah, I know you won't pick Logan, Paul,
and I know that you picked jelly Roll, Josh. Yeah,
but do it, Randy Roll.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
I thought you're gonna get away.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
I thought about it, I really did. But this is
one single defense, not two separate defenses. So I will
throw away a match.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, throw away, he says.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Safe.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
DAC team mess differently once.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
So far, what we have we really have? Okay, we
might differ a little bit on this next one. Roman
reigns and jay usso an attack team match facing bron
Breaker and Bronson Reid with Paul Hamon in their corner.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
Guess who inducted Goldberg?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Yeah, Bill Goldberg, Bill Goldberg, Yeah, not Goldberg, yeah, Bill Goldberg.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
So we have the spear and the spear and the
spear versus in a tsunami.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
You know what, I never even thought of it, Like, no, no, no, no, no,
jay Us does not do a spear yeah, he hugs him.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Yeah, he does more of a m Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
What and you know what didn't Goldberg say here, Bill
Colberg say here recently that the only person who should
be doing the spear is Bronton Reid. Yep, he did.
I mean bron Breaker, Yes, yes, yes, yeah, that's the one,
which you know, I agree with that bron Breaker spear
looks intimidating. Yeah, bron Breaker has that explosiveness to him,
(37:20):
that athletic explosiveness that is just terrifying. Yeah, I watched
I watched the video the other day of him like
crawling through the crowd getting ready for his spot and
when he saw it, like he was a good thirty
forty feet away from the ring, he saw his spot.
He was there in half a second.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
I mean he speared Carlile was so hard they had
to fire him.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, well they just let him go. Well yeah, bron Breaker.
Also when he's running the ropes, it is terrifying.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
So, Josh, who are you gonna go with?
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Ooh acause.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
That's what is the seth Rowlands injury reels.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
It work.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
I might play into the next match.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
That's true, That is very true.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Rains and USA, the blood line version one.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Is blood Line V one is ish ish, you know,
like Day one ish. Yeah, for the full Blood not
clever is okay?
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Uh you know I don't see them bringing Roman back
just for him to lose. True, Yeah, but that was different.
Yeah that was for the title.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
What the mania was triple Threat matchim Rowlands Punk Oh.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Yeah, yeah, I guess that was.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
I'm a year behind.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
This show's picked going for almost two years. Yeah, I'm
really tired. Uh yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
Let's goron and bron the Bronze. Let's go the breaker read.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Is that what we're calling it? Breaker Read?
Speaker 3 (39:07):
I'll just call it Bronze the Bronze, Bronze squared. So, Jeff,
who you got?
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Oh so we're going to definitely deferral this one. Yeah,
so we have well yeah, I know we already have,
but only on one so far. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Well now too, because me and Jason's guest everything the
same until now. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Yeah, that's true. That's very true. I'm gonna go with
the Bronze squared the Bronze. I think the seth Rawlins thing,
if it is going to I have a sneaky suspicion
that seth Rawlins is his injury is.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
What go ahead?
Speaker 1 (39:55):
I think that his injury is. I think he definitely
needs some rest like something, definitely, but I don't think
it's as bad as start making it out.
Speaker 4 (40:02):
Yeah, so is he gonna help him win?
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Possibly? I mean, who, like, he's not gonna come back
and help Roman. Yeah, he's going to go against the Roman.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Next Saturday, I will so yeah, I'm gonna go Bronze
Squared on that. All right, So what we are presuming
is the main event for night one? Is that correct?
Speaker 4 (40:26):
It's gotta be.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Yeah, Gonter will be defending his World Heavyweight championship against
one Charles Montgomery Punk Punk Josh.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
See. This is why I'm not sure if the injury
is legitimate. Because Seth Rawlings goes on a talk show
He's like, yeah, based on my opinions, I'm gonna be
out several months. Interesting wording, Yeah, yeah, because he had
not seen a doctor yet. Oh no, they he said
he had, but his leg was too swollen for.
Speaker 5 (40:57):
Them to be able to actually see if what was wrong.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
With it all the properly evaluated.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
Yeah, I think you're lying, Seth. I think see him
Punk They're going to win this match, and seth Rollin's
going to cash in. Well, it's this Saturday, so you're
gonna have heistus Century Vision version two.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
So are you picking him Punk or are you picking
seth Rawlins? Okay?
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Are you okay? Okay?
Speaker 4 (41:27):
So it's Punk with the Rowlins cash in Punk, Punk
is winning the title and then Rowlins cash again.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
Hmmm.
Speaker 5 (41:35):
I think he's gonna ruin his moment.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
Okay. So if Punk wins and Rollins doesn't cash in,
you don't get.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
The point half point half point half point?
Speaker 1 (41:49):
Where do we throw it in there as a bonus? Sure?
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Okay? Punk no cash in?
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Punk no cash in?
Speaker 4 (42:02):
Okay, Bunk cashing him chicks.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
So let's see. I I'm going Gunter. I don't. Gunther
basically just got his title back. I man, he just
defended it against Colberg and that was only what is it?
Speaker 4 (42:23):
That was basically only for that. Though that's true, I
will say there's also apparently a thing going around that
John Cena's final opponent.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Will be Gunter. Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
So will he do a title versus title or going
through still has the title?
Speaker 1 (42:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (42:38):
Hmmm, that'd be weird.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Good point, good point. I'm still going to go through
and I'm gonna say no cash in, no cash in.
So yes, but as far as our predictions go.
Speaker 5 (42:55):
When we kind of have one, what we don't know
which night this next match is on, so.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
We want to do we want to do a prediction
on it.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
Well if we don't, I don't know, Okay, Well, I
mean we can go ahead.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
It's I feel like it's likely going to be on
night two because currently we have six on Night one,
five on Night two, so it seems likely this to
be on Night two, but then again, you never know.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
We good, I mean, we can go ahead, throw it
in there and yeah, you know, if it's not on
Night one, then we'll just throw it in there with
Night two. Ye yeah, yeah yeah, as what Josh said,
confirmed night as of time of recording, though likely on
Night two. We just don't know which night it is.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
They just announced it on SmackDown.
Speaker 1 (43:34):
Six.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
Oh it is.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
It's gonna be a crazy one a six pack, tables,
ladders and chairs match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The Wyatt six, Dexter Loomis and Joe Gacy will be
defending their title against Andrade and Ray Phoenix versus hashtag,
d I Y versus Fraxium versus Murder City machine Guns
versus the Street Profits. And that's it. Yeah, six tag
(44:02):
teams for a in a t LC match.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
Pure chaos it is.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
Josh, I do not know.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
You what?
Speaker 4 (44:16):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 5 (44:20):
It's a really hard one.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
There's so many here, I mean really and truly the
three of us could pick somebody yeah different and not
win it.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
Yeah mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
That's why I'm going to pick five different ones.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
You know.
Speaker 5 (44:38):
I'm gonna go for a White six retained.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
They got the numbers game, it's a TLC match. They
can bring in their other members who are not actually
officially a part of the match.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
Six Okay, Yeah, Jason, I was.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
Actually going to pick White six pretty much for the
same exact reason that and why not.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Yeah true, Looking at it right now through through process
of elimination, I don't see it being Andrade ray Phoannix,
I don't see it being Fraxium, MotorCity machine Guns, possibly,
Street Profits, possibly d I Y, possibly, whyatt six possibly,
but I definitely don't see it with those two no
(45:22):
street profits. I'm gonna say no the I Y.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
No if it if it helps in any form of
Street profits Worthy previous champions.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Yeah, that's that's kind of where I'm at with it, Like,
I don't think that they're going to get it back.
Let's see, I don't see it being well, I guess
it could be the Motor City machine Guns the d
I y how how long have they been back together?
It's been a little bit.
Speaker 5 (45:45):
Yeah, yeah they were.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
They were the champions before Profits I believe. Okay, I
think correct?
Speaker 1 (45:51):
Okay, correct me if from wrong? Really quick? Has Motor
City Machine Guns won any titles?
Speaker 5 (45:56):
Their debut match? Actually they won the title?
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Okay, okay, all right, I needed a presare on that.
All right, So, uh, through all of that, I am
going to say.
Speaker 4 (46:07):
Day actually might it might be wrong. I don't think
it was a debut match. I think they won. I
think the debut match was to become number one contenders
and thedn't they won?
Speaker 1 (46:15):
Yeah that sounds more yeah? Correct? All right? All right,
So that is all of our productions for Night one
of SummerSlam. Let's shift gears to the main event. It
looks like all the talk.
Speaker 4 (46:28):

Speaker 1 (49:39):
Then prove it. It's also Josh Colebabay, prove it.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
I think you need to visit Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
You know, Hollywood. I've wanted to. I'm a I'm a
big fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, like I wanted swinging,
like I've wanted to go.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
To La Mister Hollywood has never been to Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
I've never been out of this timetown.
Speaker 4 (50:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
So a new segment that we've been doing on here
is it's new. It is it's it is new. But
where we go ahead and wait, we let you know
what's it's predetermined. That's professional wrestling in general, except for.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
That title defense. He's supposed to be predetermined didn't happen.
You know what, whening to business for himself.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
It didn't work for me, brother, So we go ahead
and let you know what new champions age. We go
ahead and let you know what new champions are within
the world of professional wrestling. In the past week and
the start off we're in DDT Pro Wrestling, there were

But the interesting thing is is like Devon, he can't
he can't wrestle.
Speaker 4 (54:04):
From my understand, he's apparently agreed to it, though, so
huh huh.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
Well, I mean, if it's a tag match, it definitely,
I mean, it could hide some of the issues he's had.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
