Welcome to the Guitar Jet Podcast, where you'll skyrocket your knowledge of theory,
techniques, and fundamentals for guitar.Hey, and welcome to the guitar Jet
Podcast. I'm your host Miles, and in today's episode, we're going to
talk about triad arpeggios. If youlike what you hear in today's episode,
then go ahead and subscribe to theGuitar Jet Podcast. Okay, I recently

(00:21):
made a YouTube video titled five EasyTapping our Peggios and in that video,
all the arpeggios I teach our triadour peggios or suspended our peggios. To
understand this, I'll define three termsfor you triads, suspended, and our
peggios. I'll tell you the coordformulas for triads and suspended chords after I've
defined them. Now, let's startwith triads. Triads are three note chords

(00:44):
and there are four types major, minor, diminished, and augmented. The
important thing to remember about triads isthe fact that they're all constructed with a
root note and a variation of athird and a fifth. Now I'll tell
you about suspended chords. Suspended chords, also called sus chords, are also
three note chords, and there aretwo types SUS two and Sus four.

(01:07):
They're generally not considered tryabs because theylack a third interval. Now, I'll
define our peggios our peggios simply putour chords that are played one note at
a time. So when I talkabout triad and suspended our peggios, I'm
referring to those chord types being playedone notte at a time, rather than
in harmony. For example, inmy video about tapping our peggios, I
broke down these five chords and showedhow to play them with tapping a minor,

(01:30):
a major, a diminished, augmentedass two. You're able to tap
these ar peggios by identifying the notesand interval structures of these chords and applying
them to a single string. Andlike I told you earlier, i'll give
you those chord formulas now. Themajor R peggio formula is one three five.
The minor R peggio formula is oneflat three five. The diminished our

(01:55):
pegio formula is one flat three flatfive. The augmented our peggie formula is
one three sharp five. The SUStwo our peggio formula is one two five.
The sus four our peggio formula isone four five. When remembering the
suspended our peggio formulas, just rememberthat every sess chord has a root and

(02:16):
a fifth, and if it's sustwo, it has a second, and
if it's sus four it has afourth. Pretty simple, right overall,
learning single string tryad our peggios isone of the best ways to improve your
phrasing and level up your technique. Thanks for listening to the guitar Jet podcast

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
