(01:54):
And welcome back to another episode of the Hated Heroes
podcast where people hate to love us, love the us,
And of course I'm your host, lb L Capitone he
himself and look, look, you may be having a fast day,
you may be having a slow day. But either way
it goes. It's your day, so please please make the

(02:15):
most of it. And if this is your first time
tuning in to the Heroes podcast, we have a slight disclaimer,
just a slight disclaim, just a small disclaimer. Just make
sure again we remain on the same page. I mean,
who loves confusion, not us? So check this out. Sensitivity
does not live here, but understanding does. Once again, sensitivity

(02:37):
does not live here, but understanding, does you guys? It
feels like it's been a while. It feels like it's
been a while. It feels almost as if there was
a break that was taken, a break that was needed,
and look, we're back, man, we're back, even though it's
only been a week. So it all comes down to

(03:00):
what today's episode is about, what today's episode is geared around.
It's all about protecting your peace. Okay, that's what today's
episode is about, protecting your peace. Okay, what is what
is your mental diet? Okay, we're gonna start what is
your your mental diet because that has a lot to

(03:21):
do with protecting your piece. People think that the diet
is only only for your stomach, you know, just if
you're trying to get your six pack, you know, if
you're trying to get your get your body right, trying
to get that summer look going on. No, it's a
diet is literally anything that you're consuming and you're being
aware of it. Okay, that's what your diet is. Whatever
you're consuming. You are aware of what is being consumed. Okay.

(03:47):
So protecting your piece comes in multiple different forms. Rather
it be things that you hear, things that you see,
in or things that you take in could even be
things that you do because a lot of us think
that we we're doing okay. Okay, Like a lot of
us think that we're doing okay, and especially if we're
if we're comparing it to which is that's dangerous. But

(04:08):
if we're comparing it to our surroundings, a lot of
us think that we're doing okay. And the honest portion
of that is you're consuming a lot of stuff that's
impacting your piece subliminally, internally, physically, and a lot of
us don't even realize it until it's too late. A
lot of us don't realize until we have a random

(04:30):
headache or a random, you know, random stomach ache, or
just just all of a sudden, the day's energy just
randomly shifts. There's nothing random, it's nothing random about it.
What's happening is that you have been consuming something. You
haven't been watching your diet. That's what that means. You

(04:51):
haven't been watching your diet. So what does that mean?
What does that look like? What that looks like, and
what that means is that the things that you're looking
at on a daily basis, daily basis, and for some
of us it's from the moment that we wake up,
the moment that we wake up. We we we we
we jump right into this thing right here, We jump
right into this device right here. This is the device

(05:11):
that uh sometimes comes across as a life saver. And
I'm not gonna say that it's not, because you know,
cell phones have saved lives before. But guess what, it
ain't saving what you need. It ain't. It ain't saving
your piece. That's not what it's doing. What it is
doing is it's feeding you non stop. It's almost like
going to that to that one family member's house that

(05:33):
that has nothing but just just just junk food. And
they always have junk food available for you. Might even
have no a pie made. Get your slice of pie.
It got some ice cream for you. Hey, you like soda,
and get you some soda. Go ahead, all that stuff
and it feels good. It feels loving. Okay, it feels loving.
But at the end of the day that that's not
really what you need. Even if you felt like you

(05:55):
needed that, that's not really what you needed. Maybe a
good conversation, maybe a good hub. You know, well, let's
jump back to it. A good conversation, a good conversation
can feel you in so many different ways, so many
different ways, just by having a good conversation, man, a
good honest, open conversation about what's going on, how you're feeling,

(06:17):
what like, like just like just your views, man, your views,
like what's going on in the world, Like what are
your views on that? And it's not to have an argument.
It's not to have a debate. It's not to to
try to debunk something or try to find the flaw
in something. That's the peace part being ripped away. When
you're trying to find a solution to every single problem,

(06:42):
you're not going to have peace because you're looking for
one in the wrong place. If you're looking for that
here on earth, you're looking in the wrong place. Pray
on that. Pray on that. Okay, don't look for those
solutions here. Go into your quiet place. Put all of
those those things that you're yearning to know about, Put

(07:05):
all of that into a little package. Go into your
your quiet place, your dark place, and pray on it.
Start speaking that stuff that you're concerned about, Start speaking
that stuff that you're worried about. Start speaking on on
all those things, on all the solutions that you're looking
for here on earth, okay, from another person here on earth,
all that stuff, and go into your quiet place and

(07:27):
have that conversation. In your quiet place, that's where you're
gonna receive your solutions and and get and please do
not okay, please do not think that you're gonna go
in your quiet place on Monday night and get a
solution Tuesday morning. Please don't think that. Please do not
think that. Let's be real. Let's be real. Depending on

(07:52):
your belief, depending on your faith, depending on how much
how much you've allowed God to enter into your life,
will determine on how quickly you get to a solution.
That's just how that works. That's one hundred percent how
that works. Depending on how much you've allowed God to
enter into your life, how much you've allowed positive things

(08:14):
to enter into your life, how often you've allowed things
that make actual sense. Okay, And it doesn't have to
make a social sense, okay, because I think a lot
of people try to satisfy things socially, and you don't.
You don't, okay, protect your peace, Protect your peace. You

(08:35):
don't have to repeat the things that are going on socially.
You don't have to consume the things that are going
on socially. There's nothing more. We're trying to have a
slight bit of understanding, a slight bit of understanding. But
at the end of the day, if it's not the
type of understanding that's gonna propel your life, that's gonna
propel your family's life, that's gonna propel your your physical state,

(08:56):
your mental state. If it's not that type of understanding,
if it's just something that you just want to know,
you're ruining your peace. You're ruining your piece just in
wanting to know something for the sake of knowing, you're
ruining your peace. Okay, that that's a waste of your time,
that's a waste of that's a bite in your diet

(09:19):
that you did not have to take. You just filled
yourself with with with with something wasteful, okay, when you
could have had space to have something great, something delicious. Okay,
you could have had something delists, you could have you
could have just indulged on, on on, on, my goodness,
whatever it is that that you consider to be the

(09:40):
most amazing, most healthy meal. You could have consumed that
whole thing, but instead you took a bite, and you
keep taking bites you keep taking bites of things that
fill your soul with bull crap. Okay, that's what I'm
gonna say that I'm not I'm not gonna use the
other word. I almost use the other word, but I've

(10:01):
been asking for help on my vocabulary so that way
I don't have to emphasize things with the wrong words. Okay,
it all comes down to protecting your peace. What is
your mental diet? Are you looking at all this stuff

(10:22):
that's going on in the world right now and are
you looking at it as a time to learn or
are you looking at it as just pure negativity? And
then you're you're repeating that negativity. You're you're you're you're
reposting that negativity. You're taking that negativity in and you're

(10:42):
spreading it within your household and in whatever way you're doing, Like, like,
what are what are you doing with all this stuff
that's going on in the world? Okay, all of this stuff,
what are you doing with it? How are you digesting this? Okay?
What what did you do? What did you do with
all the things that you've heard over the just the

(11:04):
last thirty days, Okay, just over the last thirty days.
It's a brand new year. Okay, we're just about and close,
we're getting very close to mid February. What have you digested?
What have you taken in? What have you done with
the information that's been spewed out here over the last
thirty days. Rather it be with with the the the DEI,

(11:24):
or rather it be with the plane crashes, rather it
be with with things that are going on across seas,
Rather it be with with with the new medical updates,
rather it be with with just goodness, we're gonna stop
right there. We're gonna stop right there. We don't have
to mention more. We don't have to mention more because again,

(11:45):
you guys already know I'm not speaking about anything new.
You guys already know. I'm just asking, hey, what did
you do with it? Did you actually take it in
to learn from it? And are you trying to find
a way to not ignore it, not ignore it, but
to build better from it, build better from it, and
again it not ignoring but building from Okay, we are

(12:11):
currently in a time where something has happened. There's been
a major shift in the and if you look through history,
there's always gonna be a major shift, because first you're
gonna get warnings, and if the warnings don't work, then
you get the major shift. I'll say it again. Throughout history,

(12:32):
there's warnings first, Hey, hey there's something on the way.
If you don't change how things are going, if you
don't change how you're walking, if you don't change how
you're talking, if you don't change how you're eating, Hey
there's something on the way. And once we continue just
to go on with our day to day because a
lot of us like to just go strictly off of
our own thought, off of our own choices, and ignore

(12:54):
ignore things because we like to compare us like, oh,
if that person does it, then it's okay for me. Well,
if a person did it a long time ago, I
can do it right now. Will If that's how you're
thinking in comparison, then yes, yes, it's gonna hurt and
be detrimental to you when the major shift happens, like
a brand new leader coming in and just literally obliterating

(13:17):
your day to day comfort, obliterating your day to day comfort.
Now we're here. Now we're here in complaining about it
as we've done before. Okay has gotten nowhere. This shift
is gonna happen, and it's gonna continue to happen. It's
gonna continue to happen. What you do, what you do

(13:40):
will matter the most. Okay, what you do, how you
digest this, Okay, what you do with your brand new diet. Okay,
because hopefully you've changed your diet and you see oh okay, Okay,
maybe wow, maybe I shouldn't be feeding into what's going
on right now. Maybe I should start looking at things

(14:03):
as in, there definitely needs to be a change at
a personal level before I try to go and get
a change at a high level. Stop worrying about the
high level because you're not there. Stop worrying about what's
up high because you're not there. You're not there. Control
what's in your realm. Okay. And by control, I mean
you have control over your actions. You have control over

(14:25):
what you look at, you have control over what you
listen to, you have control over how you react. You
have control. Okay, that's what you have control over. Okay.
You have a huge gift that was given to you,
and that gift was in the form of choice. So
what you choose, what you choose to consume is one

(14:47):
hundred percent up to you. Nobody's going to come in
and stop that because it's a choice. Okay, it's a choice.
Please remember that, because I know a lot of people
have religion mistaken because of how it's been taught. And
I understand that religion has taught so many multiple different ways.
But just I'm here to go ahead and just let
you know no one's going to come in and stop

(15:11):
your bad choice, because it is your choice. It was
the biggest gift that you were given. So what you
consume is one hundred percent within your control, and how
you react is one hundred percent within your control. So
I'm gonna ask again, what has been your mental diet?

(15:35):
What have you been consuming and has it been helping
your peace or hurting your piece? Okay, has your diet
helped your peace or has it hurt your piece? Are
you stuck in the realm of comparing things? Are you?
Are you now in the realm of, oh my gosh,

(15:56):
what's next? That's causing anxiousness? Giving yourself anxiety? You are
giving yourself anxiety, not your surroundings, because again, you're the
one that's choosing. It's your choice. It's don't go pointing
the fingers. Don't go saying this person should do that
to make you feel a certain way. No, they should not. No,

(16:17):
because everybody has an agenda, and if the agenda isn't
aligned with helping everyone, if the agenda is only to
help a certain a certain person, you can't worry about that.
Excuse me. You can't worry about that. You can't focus
on that. And let me not say can't. You shouldn't
because I know that you are. I know that you are,

(16:39):
and I know a lot of you are, and I
just I pray, I pray that this season that we're
in doesn't become a cycle because it's been a cycle before. Okay,
it's been a cycle before, So hopefully this is truly
just a season and a lot of us will go
ahead and change our diet. That's what I'm praying. I'm

(17:00):
praying that during this season we change our diet, we
change what it is that we consume before we try
to move further. And this and this shouldn't just be
a diet change for spring break. This shouldn't just be
a diet change for your summer body. No, this needs

(17:20):
to be a diet change for your life. Okay, this
should be a diet change for your life body, for
the rest of your life. This should be a change
because what we're in right now, what we are in
right now and experiencing right now, is an opportunity, an
opportunity to change our diet as a society. And you know,

(17:46):
let's see what we do with this choice. Let's see
what we do with the greatest gift that we have
been given. Okay, I didn't want to hold you guys long.
Let's want to make sure. I jumped on here and
I said piece over you guys, please please sit down today,

(18:08):
stop right here, right now. Whatever it is you're doing,
sit down today and truly think about what it is
that you're consuming. And hey, if your diet is on point,
this episode ain't for you. This episode ain't for you.
If if your diet is on point, you ain't got no
issues and you're not secretly building up anxiety within yourself,

(18:28):
and you're not secretly building up stress within yourself, and
you're not secretly building up touf. Hey, this episode ain't
for you. And I apologize that you made it all
this way just to hear that. But for everybody else, okay,
for everybody else, sit down and look at what you're consuming.

(18:48):
Is your mental diet helpful or is it hurtful? Y'all
be great. Let them make
