something with the title description, Yeah was no. I did
(01:02):
remove that one, but there was another one that I forgot.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Sorry guys.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Oh hey, oh hey, look how are you man? That's
a nice hat you got.
Speaker 1 (01:13):

be double logo. Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
So for those of you, well none of you were
chat in the back room with us. Got to the
show and he wasn't wearing his hat because everybody will
all but a few of you have got in your
hats already, so but he didn't. He didn't have his hat.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
On him because he didn't want to get it smoky.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
And I said, hey, you need to make sure the
jet on He's like, why camp because I'm wearing a
shirt it's got the clubhouse logo on it that said, well, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
It's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
They're not going to care, and sure not yet they
always care.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
And this it'll haunt me. There'll be pictures on Reddit
of me and that you all going to take logos
on yeah exactly. Then then then smoking Ape's gonna make
fun of me, but he's going to be right. And
then Mike's gonna be put me on mail bag Monday,
and and then I'm gonna be on Reddit and it's
(02:07):
almost gonna take the A I and you know what's
gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's that cattle like going to the Walmart when you're
taking the A.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
I just want to have a cold. I just have
a cigar.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
That I absolutely I guess, I guess after you explained
to this.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
What's in the hydration pack behind you?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yes, oh, this is I see gum.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
So that's the back door and this is the front door.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
We we thought that you were getting thirsty, so that
you and you had.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Like a while I was in While I was in there,
I had to find that way.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Forgot to get a fresh can. Second, I want to
say something.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
I want to say something right now, but I can't.
Oh no, no, no, no no, because what have you
taught me? Actually, Molten said to me, anytime you think
that you should not say something, bite your tongue and
don't say it. That hurts.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
So I know.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yes, I'm wearing shorts.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
So while I was in there, I said, well, then
what shirt am I going to wear? I grabbed the
smoking ape shirt. Then I said, well, let me quickly
go use ahead. And then I was running out here
and I had to run back out because there's tags.
Then there's cardboard on the side and.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I couldn't find You're like, oh my god, I'm gonna
be late.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Right I'm like, I'm like, oh my god. And then
and then I'm like, I can't find the scissors. So
I had to go grab the steak knife. Then I
had to go buy the then I had to fit
it because hey, guys, this is still Seriously, this is
a really nice hat, especially when the heat comes in Connecticut.
And I know you all get it earlier than us
because it's got that nice vents in the back for
(03:56):
proper circulation or ventilation, ventilation. This is some nice thought.

another we'll do hats again. At some point I have
decided that I will not be a retailer supplier of hats.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Why you don't want to be an that's say guy?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Hmmm, I mean I would. It was first you got
to order the boxes, order the pouch?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Did you put? That was a very nice package, man,
I would have just liked that was something the box,
opened the box, and there's a bag, opened the bag,
and then there's listening in another bag. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Listen to me. It was one of two things. One
of these nice ceramic things that's gonna have jelly beans
or gummy bears, or it was gonna be that pharmaceutical
poop in a box. I didn't know which one I
was getting.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Because the boxes were white. I would have put a
stick around it. That would put us up in the
next USPS bracket. I didn't want to pay another dollar.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Put insurance what they were sure Until Joe Brant we
were sharping earlier, said, uh, I ensured all these hats
for hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
If they don't make it to your house, make Christmas.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
That's how you do it.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
We had all right, We had the running joke. What
was gonna come first, Joe brets.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
A task or the hats got the head.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Joe's brother, Joe is we have been ribbing him and
ribbing him. We he knows we love him, but it's
not fair. Now you need that antenna.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Are you smoking to me? Quadrina me coquarita, quadrina A
damn good cigar Mia corita.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
Okay, this is an incredible.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
That's from Steve Soka.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
That is a yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I saw the band and that I was like, he did,
I've got one over there that if I was sitting
on the patio, I'd be joining you.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
I love that cigar and so guys, okay, So if
you guys are are if you guys are into cigar
and you like this nice knicker wog, when this is
what you want, they also make another one with a
red band, and then they also have what's called the
meat lovers and the meat I don't.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Get the meats here, old.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
Then I should find that I should maybe send you something.
Maybe I'll send all right, I'll send Joe and a task,
and I'll send you a couple.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Of meat lovers, because the other cigar that he makes,
the sober Masa, is really really good as well, and
that is a blend of seven different kinds of tobacco.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Sorry, we went totally into cigar.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
What were we talking about there, your honor, my client.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Right, I'm just as healthy. He had a celis moment
and Toora several in thanks for the ten months, man,
I'm trying to get these out as quick as they can.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
This adh like we were for five months.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
All good.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
I'm still green.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Speaking of green, Joe Brett, this is not gray, it's green.
So if you're in the chat, we're gonna.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
I want is Joe Brett's had green or Shane's green?
I mean, it's pretty freaky if every green on your monitor, Shane, look, yeah, it.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Looks army green my lower Maybe maybe you need to
upgrade your monitor. That's probably the problem.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Why what is it?
Speaker 5 (08:16):
Joe? Seriously? In person? What is it with me?
Speaker 1 (08:18):
And Shane has the exact same hat, same colors?
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Green?
Speaker 5 (08:24):
All right, so I'm what I'm what fifteen hundred miles away.
We're coming through the pipeline of the internet. And yeah, Joe,
you look green and and and Shane's like a grayish brown.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Well, now, to be truthful, I do have some I
have adjusted my camera temperature so because I have a
really bright light right there, that doing it.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Makes your face look good. But your hat, I mean,
I don't like the color. If that was really the
color of the hat, it would be the color. It's
it's nice, it's not gray and brown. It's what do
you mean you drown and grabbed the.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
You ain't you adjusted the temperature? What's all the what's
what the temperature? You get?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Doing YouTube for how long? You don't know what? I don't.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
I have a ring light that either makes me Donald
Trump orange or natural? Donize? I have two settings. That's
all I know.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
That makes sense?
Speaker 5 (09:20):
Let me uh so, So Julie from Poe to power?
What color is her?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Hers is pink?
Speaker 5 (09:29):
So it's all pink all over?
Speaker 2 (09:31):
No, it's pinking way all right? If I turn that off?
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Nope, no, mhmm.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
So if I turn.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Let me adjust my lightns. So, now you got me
wondering if I should if I should not adjust my lights.
There you go. That's orange. That's more orange. That's natural,
that's wore back to orange.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
That's that's the mode.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Okay, walker, what it looked like it?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Okay, so I adjusted the temperature.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
No difference.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
It's still green.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
Well it start a change of color. Seriously, when you
moved it, when you moved it closer, you could see.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
It tilted where we can see the inside of it.
First flit. Second it looks a little green.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
So what color is it? It's like a tan, right,
it's not.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
It's it's supposed to be like a lot army green.
It's not as green as it shows up on his
his monitor.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
Jose green, real green.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
It's it's army green. Joe you ever brought the green
on the camera?
Speaker 6 (10:43):
Yo?
Speaker 5 (10:43):
It is like Joe Joe bread at night, Joe bread
at night, goes goes fishing.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Station kicked up a little bit.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
I'm telling you he's on the by you getting those
in those those frogs at night, and that helps him
keep them incognito.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
The filters.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
It was him.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
It was him this whole time chat and the color
corrections off and then the color is still off.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
To wait wait, change changed.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Entire show on what the color is this dressed blue?
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Or I feel I feel I feel like we're watching
sessions streight now. Now we're gonna get into the numbers.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
That looks the same as mine. Brett needs to rent
before before the guests.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
This ran here. I don't know many all right, Joe.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
When you switched camp, serously, when you switch cameras, your
hat took on a whole new color, whole new Crayola.
Hold not see there's a difference between cameras.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Camera one camera two, camera one camera two Nighttime the
NTSC show. Yes, Mike, it is, Yes, Mike, it is.
It's not the l anyway exactly. All right, we have
a guest tonight. We're gonna get to our guests just
(12:25):
a minute. But I wanted to take two seconds and left.
He's still there. I saw him. How's your week being buddy? Okay,
Oh you'll get out.
Speaker 5 (12:35):
No, no, no, no. I'm gonna keep it short and sweet
because everyone knows about The bands are are funky, the
bands are weird. I've been out playing PoTA like crazy.
I'll be going out on Thursday and Friday. I'm walk
Thursday Friday. Put me and your handler. You never know
where I'm going to be uh, but I gotta say this.
(12:57):
The sun spots are down. The noise for down. No
they're not. Okay, no, no, no, this is this is
not the Doctor Phil show. But yeah, yeah no. But seriously,
it's very interesting because I was under the assumption still
being learning. It's just very weird. I would think at
(13:21):
the heightened where we are, at the heightened order of
the the apex of the solar cycle, some spots would
be roaring hot.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
They still fluctuate because some days they're super smoking hot
and sometimes they're not.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Lately they're in the they are below fifty, which is
very interesting, or below today they were about an hour ago.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Apparently you haven't looked at the band conditions on your
nifty World Radio League, because the sun spot number is
fifty three right now?
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Fifty three? All right?
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Then?
Speaker 5 (13:55):
All right, So so that's what I'm saying. So you're
under one hundred sun spots. Where now? Is that normal
or is?
Speaker 6 (14:01):
I don't know's gotten shy?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
But we're still gonna get out. I must say something.
I'm not sure if Mike is here at k m
r D. He might be packing, or he might be
on the Road to dayton Guys, Mike out An incredible
In my.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Opinion, amazing, amazing.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Should be am Emmy Kennedy Awards, the Academy, the Oscars,
the Tony's. I don't care. Watch this video for six minutes.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
I believe, Yeah, he's getting really good at that.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
Not all. But it was about the words.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Boys, absolutely, But you can realize how much work it is.
Remember what you said when you cut the camera to
find another location to turn the camera back on amazing, du.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
I bet you he has a script or he has notes.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
I don't know. I think he's pretty sharp. I give
it to him. I think he's pretty sharp. I mean,
I listen, we don't know what's on the cutting room floor.
Got a heart he does? And uh have give Juliet,
I think you get I think he was delivered today
if he wasn't here too. You know. So I've been
(15:22):
using what Vae has been saying lately. Catch you down
the co ax. I love that, catch you down the
log catch. I'm giving getim credit. I'm giving what you do.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
If you said the same thing that another Sea Beer
said in Loving Me the World, No, no, it's appeal
short and no, no way's pinning me.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
No, no one listen. Nobody has ever pinned nobody listen.
Because as long as you do it right and you
give props, I get some. And because I've been working
on my I hate this park that I'm trying to
get the Kio. It's bothering me. And I normally don't
let numbers bother me, except for for number thirteen, but
(16:08):
when it comes to this Kilo stuff. And I didn't
get into this thing for rewards, but I'm at like
less than four hundred percent with the lot. I like that,
but I'm in this park. It's a tough park to
work because a lot of noise that man made as well,
but they're using that anyway.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Yes, Max, he's in a tent.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
Yeah, he spoke.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
It is almost smoke in the house, so he smokes
outside in a tempt.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
Actually this tent will be coming down in another week
or so. So oh yeah, it's warm getting warmer up.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Then we get.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
Where You're gonna get.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
The steam planet, get all the smoke and sweat out
of it.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
Yeah, actually no, Actually what I do is I take
a power washer, I scrub it with some dawn, and
I light a candle. I let it dry. I let it.
I let it dry out for two or three days.
I light a candle, you pack it away and guess what.
And if it smells back in November when I pull
it out, I don't care.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
It's the smoking hut.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
It's just smoking hot. This is specially, this is not
the flower shop. This is smoke.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
So this week is what you got coming up?
Speaker 5 (17:18):
Thursday, Friday, Friday. All right, I'm gonna be around somewhere
in Connecticut and maybe Rhode Island again.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Did you break you get anything before we jumped our
guests because I haven't.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Frank wants me to rent, but I'm just I can't
do it. Man. That's a whole like a whole night topic.
It's gonna spur up the chat and everything. So remind
me next week.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Uh besides that, no, man, I'm uh. I was looking
back at my my. What do you call it when
you go to your channel dashboard you see content? Yeah,
that's what to call it. Yeah, you're where you put
out a video in January. Then I put out one
first to May and then put one out yesterday or Sunday. Sundays.
Sundays was members and then Monday was public or whatever.
(18:01):
But I was like Dan's two in a month, and
I slowed down. But I slow down, but don't put yet.
People have really liked the you know, getting hands dirty
with the z Man Max.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
That defeats the purpose.
Speaker 5 (18:17):
Max insulated with with a mister Buddy heater pro pain.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
In California. He doesn't need to heat it. He would
be a sweat hunt by.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
The time there. So it's gonna be one of those
sweat those sweat tents at the Indian, you know, but
it helps you. Let me tell you something I swear
to Okay, maybe it just goes back to like our
old discord days, quick story.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
It got so no such things as quick story.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
It got so hot in here one night.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
And I had given visions.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
I had two shots of tequila, just too small shots
at tequila.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Yeah, for someone who doesn't drink that off well.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
No, or maybe anyway, it doesn't make it. And I
walked out and I felt the cool, the coldness, rip
all the toxins on me, and I came back in
here and I sweated some more. Let me tell you something, man,
that detoxification stuff, I think it spiritually physically meta, meta,
(19:24):
metabolic metamorph no metabolic whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Anyway, anyway, I'm done. I have breaking news.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Hang on, hang on, you don't have to wait a minute.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Speaking of guitar macs, Max, you need to get visit
a skin buddy. Yeah really, Max?
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Uh where did you go? Chat? So? I got asked
in the chat what time the forum was?
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Get that name.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
There he's presenting.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
What are you gonna wear, Joe Brett? You're gonna wear?
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Man? I was like, you but shorts? Like, do I
need to kind of dress up for a little bit?
Speaker 5 (20:07):
You're gonna find a polo.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Probably you know you're gonna wear a clubhouse hat?
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Yeah? Yeah, what hat do you wear?
Speaker 1 (20:16):
I don't wear a hat, but I will. I have to. Like, So,
I was thinking about that today and I was like, man,
we should have done those booney hats you know had,
because I don't need all the shade I.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
Can get call tank.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yes, if I'm not wearing this hat, I'll buckle it
to my backpack so it's still visible right depending on
the sun. And when I'm out in the Bonne yard
looking for an atos, you know, because seeing where ups
trucks part.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
It says you're going to introduce a new mode free data.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, so this is what happens sometimes when you like
do a video on something nobody else really done a
video on it. I guess now you are the expert,
the expert, right, I was like, so I tried to
pass this off to like some of the developers and
local people that's actually involved with this that's going to
(21:10):
be attending and mentioned, and they're like, now, yeah, we'd rather,
we'd rather hear we'll see you. I'm like, okay, so
better record this. Luckily, let's see. So it's nine fifteen
to ten ten, so surely there's a lot more a
lot to talk about. Perry Mood really does that?
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Oh, Jody, you're right's correct.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Anyway, I'm really really counting on munir K six AQ
to really go on depth and talk about free DV
digital voice. Oh and I'm hoping that I don't have
it like ten or fifteen minutes left when he gets done.
It'll take you that long to get to the intro
a right, So anyway, so that's the time. Whatever buildings
(21:59):
those are.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
In thousands of Mississippi as the sultry sounding.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
I'm fifteen HF digital modes, Room four, room four.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Well that's a good number.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Little power point there. Well, we're gonna try to make it.
We're gonna wing it.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
We're proud of you, man, Thank you, very proud, very
proud getting out there and do it.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Either go to rise or crash and burn, you know,
possibly so.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Max says he's got some successful aeronautical mobile ops.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
To talk about. That's interesting.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Max, you know how to reach this or bro Jett's
got your info. We'll set something up.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Y reach out to us. We'll get you on the county.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Guys. I did two things this week.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
I did a thing.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
I did a thing well if you follow me on
on x Twitter whatever it's called. I I went out
and did a poda, so all you jackasses can quit
saying that I don't own a radio and I don't
do ham stuff. I went out, Randy and I went
and pded and we had Randy had his most successful
PODAH to date, sorry David, excellent. Randy got his first
(23:09):
side band cont DX contact to Italy nice and I
got to play with this seven ten sousing. So we
had that mfj uh infant halfwave that's eighty through ten
because we haven't had a spot big enough to put
it up and there was this park that I've been to.
(23:30):
It's it's it's an extension of the Ray Roberts State Park.
It's a part that nobody goes to, so you don't
have a bunch of jackasses tripping over your co acts
and knocking stuff off the table. So, uh, I told him,
I said, let's meet up there and we put this
jig in it thing up and we had eighty through ten.
Just hit the button and keep running and it was
quite successful. We uh let's see here, Hey, look slide transition. Yeah, buddy.
(23:57):
Uh So we got Venezuela, we got cost Rico, Italy,
and we got all over the US and the thing
was pointing east and west. So I don't know why
we were spraying that well to the east and west
because we should have that should have been the knoll
on that thing.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
But it's ham radio. It's fun.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
What was a what's that down in South America? Is
that like Brazil or Costa Rica? I think that.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
You don't know your geography, not with.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
That labels on it.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
I mean, that's it. We're gonna have a session coming up.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
So you know, sometimes you think about what you had
to learn in school, and I'm sitting there looking at
the map the other day and I'm like, dude, if
I had to name all fifty states and like ping
where they was at, now, you.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Can not the capital.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I could do the process of elimination. All right.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Now, we're gonna have a future show coming up. Guysgraph
we are, we are. I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah, can't. We'll put this out here because David in
the Tack Juliet Kelo Charlie record that using on your
voice and uh, anyway, he posted our discord the other
day about him getting a tas and you know it
being mine and a little jerk about it, but he
just wants everybody know who's just kidding. He actually bought
(25:21):
that one himself. And congratulations David. I'm just glad that
it arrived.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Glad you actually got it.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
It was glad you got it. I'm just I'll be
happy to know it's not in a ditch somewhere.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
You know who has a new antenna out our buddy
Matt and three V a m from Reliance. It's a
fifty six to one ballon inside there. It's the bug out,
but it's a new bug out. Go check out his website.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
I am our guess we're gonna talk real why long?
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Oh and just when I said I'm not going to
buy anythingmore, I am glady, I'm a liar again.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Shane shows up and spends warm with your money.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Yeah, I guess it's crocheting right now, he's putting an
antenna together.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
So I will say I did get to go fly
and I finally got to fly my balloon.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
So that's that's it right there in the top right.
So we went cruising around yesterday and had a blast.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
I'll watch your videos and I just sit in there
thinking a man's got to have a lot of trust
in his baskets.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
You know, you can fly with me.
Speaker 5 (26:29):
It's all about the undercarriage, that's right.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
You got to see the other carriage on that thing.
What's even more scary is when you look up and
see how that envelopes attached to the basket. That'll really
make you nervous. That'll really make it nervous. Yeah, we had.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
That's a video.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Didn't know that was a video, but anyway, I thought
I would share that. Guess if you're ready, if you're
done knitting, you'd like to hop in, give me your
thumbs up. Let me unshare this. What is that?
Speaker 1 (27:05):
I don't know, Frank's no Hampton.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
It hurts.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
It's like, what are you having with that?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Woodness?
Speaker 5 (27:10):
Particularly?
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Man?
Speaker 5 (27:11):
What's that?
Speaker 2 (27:13):
What's that?
Speaker 5 (27:13):
One of those illegal booms? Illegal boom?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
I must have turned that on hitting the key that
that was probably from contesting last dream.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
It looks like that's electrical tape to me?
Speaker 1 (27:29):
What are you in? One mm score?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
That's funny.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
All right, here we go, Andy, Do you have your
headphones in and get in here? I know I didn't. Okay,
all right, there we go. Sorry, there he is.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Hello, everybody, welcome friend.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
I've got the noise cancelation on, so it works.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:56):
I figured, I figured I had I had plenty of
time to wind wine toroid. And that's actually not a joke.
So that's what I was.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
That's a hand radio operator, folks, that is a ham
radio operator. I like that.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
What did you do in the green room for the clubhouse?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
I was making.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
That's winding me a toroid for me in fin a halfway?
Speaker 5 (28:16):
Are you married?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Andy?
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Do you have kids?
Speaker 5 (28:21):
You have kids?
Speaker 6 (28:21):
Have one?
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Okay? The next time you got to go up to
that maternity ward and you're waiting. I want you to
be rolling toroids while while she's just kind of sitting
there waiting. And you know, cause you know how you
have that loll you you got those low hours. That's
what you do, man, bring that stuff with you in
a bag.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
Yeah, you cracked me up when you said that about
about saying but yeah, I was sitting here one in
the forty nine to one so and I completed it too.
It's it's lound.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
So it's got to be the most productive guest we've
ever had. Bringer you really really.
Speaker 5 (28:58):
Everyone else from everyone else was like, god, darn it
is those taking too long. He's like, hang on, I
gotta get a few more runs.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
Now.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
That's just another hit for the show. Though, guys take
so long to bring your guests on the wind a
toll roid.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
The next guest, see now, Andy, just set the bar.
Now the next guest has to figure out what they're
gonna do in the green room. So there you go.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Hopefully it's making it well.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
I will say it's you know, I'm not I'm not not.
I'm not knocking the intro or the the intro or
anything here, but I did get it wound.
Speaker 5 (29:33):
Just remember that.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Maybe you're really good at it. It doesn't take you long.
And there's that aspect of it.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
That's why I thought he was crochet Man. He was
back there.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Just for those of you who may not remember, Andy
is product manager for World Radio League. And I think
you said you wanted to chit chat about Ham Radio
Print for just a minute before we jump into some
of the World Radio League stuff, and then we'll get
to your end, Tennis.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
It's gonna be big, all right.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
Yeah, absolutely, so, yeah, we actually have We've got we've
got the two companies, uh Ham Radio Prep and World
Radio League. And just just real quickly here before we
get into the World Readio League, I wanted to let
everybody know we have we have our our Emergency Communications
course is now available for purchase, so you can buy that.
We've got all of our our our Tech, General and
(30:26):
Amateur Extra courses are all up to date. We you know,
we update them, get to get the new pool out
before the before the rollover every I think it's four
years something like that. And then we also are in
the process of launching the Space and Satellite course, so
be on the lookout for that space and satellite communications.
That's that's a really fun one and yeah, absolutely, we're
(30:51):
having a lot of fun with that one. And then
also we've taken our Balfing Basics course and rebranded it
to Hammer Radio Basics. So if you've purchased the bile
Fing Basics, don't worry. All the information is still there.
We just added more and expanded it. So there you go.
That's exactly.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
So it looks to me like y'all have been really
really busy with World Radio League, because I get an
email probably about every two weeks that says new feature,
new features, new features, new features. Is it just coming soon?
This is it's live, Go log in and check it out. Uh,
y'all's release schedule, y'all don't follow that agile the scaled
(31:36):
agile thing where you do releases every two weeks. It's like,
I'm going to develop it, it's tested, it's out out
the door.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
Oh yeah, absolutely no, we're we don't follow a sut schedule, uh,
specific versioning. We just we hammer and hammer and hammer
until we get get something ready and then and then
shoot it out the door as fast as we can.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
That's a way to do it.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
I'm starting to think y'all was like to Yo, and
you just you know, t o records one hundred videos
and then releases them. I figure you all got all
this developed and you're just you know, knock them out.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Like we have, like we have, like you know, on
on a weekly basis, we probably get you know, a
dozen feature requests and we're like, they're all on our
they're they're all on our roadmap. We're hammerd just as
hard as we can go. And yeah, we could jump
over and do that, or we could jump over and
do this, but we've got to we gotta have some
order to it.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
So organize chaos. That's why I absolutely and not only
that you've rolled out an app, so not only have
you done all these cool features to the U to
the website, which we I guess if you want to
start it, when you want to start at the website
and work to the app or kind of which like.
Speaker 6 (32:43):
To want me to do?
Speaker 5 (32:44):
You want?
Speaker 6 (32:45):
You want to share the screen so we can kind.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Of roll through the floor. Is yours my friend? You
let us know foor is yours?
Speaker 5 (32:51):
Give him the full screen?
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Oh my god, you said, look, there's there's a local
business called mister Jennitor and this freaking commercial mute radio
over time. I hear, because it says, mister Jenna, you
now have the Florida acting like they have a quarter
or something.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
And I'm like, you see, mister Jenna, tell.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
You no, I did not just swear that he is
off like color grade, get.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
That, get that commercial for the next show and bringing
in bringing it first start of the next show.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
I can't mind my my web page is missing.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
The world that gammon.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
Speaking of the developer, did you mute yourself? I think
I'm good. I didn't know if you guys were done
or not. We're just in there shooting yet you can
interrupt us. It's okay, all right, sounds good, all right.
So yeah, well I'm gonna I'm gonna start on the
just right here on the home page. Seems like a
(33:48):
logical place to start to me. So I see they
in the chat we've got working on the how to
color grade? Of course, No, we haven't got that far.
I think I think Shane our first, our first charity,
Andy Andy.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
I got to Anthi rupty for a one minute Joe
question geography questions.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
He almost started.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Okay, is Africa a country or a continent?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
It's a whole continent with count.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
All right, just making sure you know, okay, thank you, all.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
Right, absolutely, okay, So first of all, I just want
to point out you referenced this earlier, but take a
look at this beautiful band conditions.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Which see I told you.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
So you got your typical you know, poor, fair good
ranking right here and then sun spot number. Yeah, these
this will turn, you know, these will turn. They're green
if if the if the if the the numbers are good,
they're yellow if they're kind of fair, you know, and
then they turn red when it gets really bad, which
you don't want to see, but it does happen. So
(34:58):
and you know, if you hover over these, it kind
of gives little bit more detailed explanation of what's going
on here. But yeah, we've got we've got a this
this upper half of this we have as a like
you can add it to your home screen and the
mobile app just that upper half of that, and we'll
be adding this other section to that soon. So anyway,
it's just really handy to have this information. And yeah,
(35:20):
that was that was actually one of my one of
my favorite just we call them mini features. It was
one of my favorites that we've that we've popped in
just because it's so handy to be able to pull
that up and look at it in a really you know,
nice ui modern ui, and take a look at it.
And take a look. Here. Looks like Vaughn and Julie
are in the park right now. See our latest contact here,
(35:43):
looks like they're they're out there having fun. That's fantastic.
So right off the bat here we've we've I think
this has been since we since we interviewed last We
now have dark mode and light mode, so I think
last time we only had the dark mode. You just
put that button up here and now you've got Now
you've got white mode as well, which is extremely highly requested.
(36:06):
And don't worry, we're going to get to a lot
more exciting features than that. I just wanted to hit
it off the top.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
That's the easy one.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Take them, and that's support sometimes just small things that
means so much to people.
Speaker 6 (36:20):
So you're right, absolutely absolutely, Now from this homepage here
you can start a new PoTA activation. We'll take a
look at what all that entails. You start a new
general logbook. You can import an eight if or you
can view the h our contest upcoming and ongoing and
looks looks like one of my coworkers from Ham Radio
(36:42):
prep is is in the chat here. I'm not sure
which ones, which one is behind the keyboard there, but but.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
Good even that must have been his idea, was it? Yeah?
I like that the best part. That's the best one.
That's okay, you say, all right?
Speaker 6 (37:02):
So we've got profile here. On the profile page, you
can see we've added I if you're if you've subscribed
for a paid account, you have one of these founding
member badges. We we still have a few founding member
spots left, so sign up quickly. We have a lot
(37:23):
of users, uh, but not all of them are are
paid subscribers. So if you want a founding member badge,
you can. We've still got a few of those slots open.
You can access all the basic logging everything for free.
Just just get that out there right off the top.
It's totally free to access all your basic flogging. If
you do something really data intensive like import like you
know more than I think it's like three thousand contacts
(37:45):
on an import, or you want access to like our
advanced analytics, which will take a look out here in
a few minutes. That that requires a subscription, but all
of your basic logging, your your mobile app. You know
all that is is.
Speaker 5 (37:59):
And what's just description? What is the description? Let's just
throw it out there.
Speaker 6 (38:03):
You've got we've got free, we've got basic membership, and
we've got premium and VI P I. I should have
wrote these numbers down so I could remember them, but
I think the basic membership is like it's like thirty
six bucks a year. The premium I think is uh
sixty four, and the VI P I believe.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
You only got a premium all right, thirty six a
year for basic, sixty for premium, and one hundred and
eight for VIA And that also includes a lot of
perks with each thing, including store discount.
Speaker 6 (38:43):
Absolutely absolutely. And if you take a look here, we've
added this new long bio so you can you can know,
you can drop a YouTube video in there, you can
drop PoTA I frame in there. I don't know if
you guys use those, like.
Speaker 5 (39:00):
Yes, I really like that I can update my bio. Yes,
do it. That's a cool that's a cool feature.
Speaker 6 (39:07):
And then we've also added some of these some of
these advanced awards here, so you've got you can get
first d X, ten d X and they'll get this
like this little confirmation tag. After you've confirmed that contact
or that that many contacts you've got, you've got this
little confirmed tag. I don't know if you can see
it that well with this little green confirmed tag will
pop up on your award to let you know that
(39:29):
that you've confirmed it. So yeah, So that's that's basically
our changes, most of our changes to the the profile page.
This has seen a lot of updates. This is the
This is the core of the platform. Is this log
contact page here, so this here, let me grab one
of my let me grab one of my total log books.
(39:53):
Let me grab this one here so you can see
here we've added this new map share me.
Speaker 5 (40:02):
Look, sorry, Joe Brett, there you go.
Speaker 6 (40:07):
There's our new mattressda up there where the the tootal
location you were at, you know, your q so O rate,
top band mode, all that stuff.
Speaker 5 (40:16):
Here.
Speaker 6 (40:16):
You can copy a link, you can download the image. Sorry,
Joe Brad, It's okay.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
I'll sell it to you.
Speaker 6 (40:30):
Yeah, absolutely so our spotting data here. Hey, looks like
they pushed some some some stuff live today. I didn't
know that they launched this today. This is fantastic. I'm
glad I get to show you guys this. So we've
now added soda w w f F clusters there their spotting,
their spotting sources, so we can pull in data from there.
(40:51):
We can enable those that let that populate.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
And then with my.
Speaker 7 (41:00):
Need to refresh it because it's not refreshed.
Speaker 6 (41:02):
Yet, there we go. Okay, anyway, so here's all the
here's all the you can you can uh hit this,
hit this toggle here, go to Poda only. We've got
our own internal spotting system, so you can you can
(41:23):
if you if you spot a contact, let's see here.
If I hit this like spot them button and I
put in.
Speaker 7 (41:30):
In zero a p X.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
Dot for.
Speaker 6 (41:42):
Them only for the comment, I can spot that and
then whenever that refreshes, you can see here this pops
up here a cover of this comment. See what that says.
If I grab one of these spots, hit the copy
button or if I just double click on it, it
just auto populates to my log books. And and if
you have your cat control app running, it automatically sets
(42:03):
that frequency to your radio as soon as you hit
that button.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
So Control, let's talk about that for a second, because
that's news since we talked last.
Speaker 6 (42:12):
Absolutely, if you give me a minute, we'll get there. Yeah,
let's let's let's move on through this real quick. So, yeah,
so we've got also got these extra uh uh uh
spotting clusters here. This is just pulling in uh d
x data from the W three l p L cluster,
(42:33):
m qt H cluster, W seven j D cluster. That's
not to say we won't add more later, that's just
what we have enabled right now. So and also you
can't see it because I'm only sharing one tab. But
if you click this this this pop out button right here,
you can pop your spots out into a separate window,
pull them onto another screen however you want to do that,
and uh and then you can jump over here and
(42:54):
have your map alongside while you're logging in your spots
in a separate and a separate window there. So handy.
We've added the stats page right here, which is really handy.
And you can see that it just kind of gives
just a general overview of your stats for that individual logbook.
(43:16):
So let me grab let me grab a different logbook here,
let me grab this one, I think. Yeah, so if
I pulled this up, this was a PoTA activation c
W PoTA activation and yeah, this this act. Just like
the Matt view. I can click share stats, so whenever
(43:38):
whenever you click that button, it just pulls up or
you can share a link or download it once again
share it to socials. That's been a really really we have.
We have a developer who really worked long and hard
on this one and and just made it look fantastic.
So oh, Rodney, ive f w C in the chat.
Great to see your Rodney. Yes, one of our one
(43:59):
of our one of our good friends, founding members and
yes a beta tester and we're really glad to have
him on board. He helps us out a lot in
developing the in developing the the cat control app, he
kind of give us some good feedback there. So all
right now, sere, I think this is the Yeah, you know,
(44:21):
we can also pull up single Poto locations, WWF locations
and this is all the stats within the World Radio
League that those services don't allow us to pull all
those stats from their sites, but any activations that are
done within World Radio League, we've got those stats here.
And yes, I've activated this park a lot, working on
(44:41):
that kilo hopefully eventually, but yes, yes, absolutely, but yeah,
we've got a lot of data. Hear you can start
an activation. You can put it in maps that's just
basically opened, like Google Maps or Apple Maps. And and
we've also got it in the mobile app. You can
just the button and it will literally just pull up
(45:03):
navigation and and and start you navigating there like in
your Google Maps or your Apple Maps.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
So I want to pause for one second because Jimmy's
got a question, and he put in a question in
the chat, but I want to hold questions until we
kind of get through most of this and then we'll
circle back. So I've started your comment or your question, Jimmy,
and we'll get back to you as soon as we're
as soon as as any finish is running through this.
Speaker 6 (45:26):
Absolutely absolutely, And like I said, well, we'll jump into
the end of the gack Control app here in a minute.
But this is one of our big new features is
the q SO Manager. This one's been out for a
while now, but it's absolutely fantastic. It's like it's like
all your QSOs in one spot. You know, you've got
them organized into logbooks, into activations, into this and that
this is all your QSO's in one spot. Uh, and
(45:49):
we show fifty at a time. You just page through
them here and then you've got all these filters you
can sort by, you know, by Dayton time. You've you've
got you can change what columns you've got, what order
they're in, you know, what data you see here in
this view. You can you can move them between logbooks.
I can like, select a couple of contacts here, move
(46:11):
them to a different log book. I cant like this. Yeah,
let me grab all my contact you know.
Speaker 5 (46:20):
So many and you've done it. It's a lot of stuff,
but you've laid it out. It's properly labeled, you know.
Speaker 6 (46:26):
Yeah, yeah, we we have an amazing designer and some
really fantastic developers that have put a lot of effort
into this. You can also log them. Yeah, you can
move these between log books. Now, this is this is
really hand. You can click this bulkhett details. You can
select as many contacts as you want to click this
bulkhet at details. This is like your general logging window. Now,
(46:50):
any of your data that you change here will just
change that field and that field only, or those two
fields or whatever you change, it'll just change that on
each of those contacts altogether. So I can I can
add an activity like a PoTA activation of PODA reference
so that I have that stored in there and so
that shows up on my potustats within our app. I
can add an antenna. I can add a radio.
Speaker 5 (47:13):
You know.
Speaker 6 (47:13):
I can change the location so if you know, if
I want, if I say, if if I had the
wrong location set when I logged them, I can just
move that location on those contacts. I can do that
all from here. I can just preview the changes and
it gives me a list of what all has been changed.
I can just hit update contacts and it will do that.
Speaker 5 (47:31):
And can I can I throw this in there? That
can you just go back one page and I'm gonna
tell guys, see that field called notes. Guys, this is
a great opportunity where if you want to make a
note about that park, I want to go back again.
We'll not go back again parking. You know, I only
whatever you want usually, yeah, whatever you gotta say. You know,
(47:54):
this is just right here. You want to go back
a month from now or a year from now? Am I right?
You could pull off this park? Oh?
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Absolutely?
Speaker 6 (48:02):
And you can even call a contact contact basis if
you want to. You know, you can edit any single contact,
just pull up this window and and edit the contact.
Speaker 5 (48:13):
Bread go bred Desultry De Sultry Voice of Mississippi. Definitely
got to go on that note. If you work Joe Brett,
you guys, Actually.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
It's fun to use the notes because I'll come across
the station I had maybe talked to in two or
three years or longer, and then I'll see or if
I'm just going through back through the log book and
I'll say, hey, this is the guy I talked to
on two meters simplex, you know, four states away and
right was feet there shot with.
Speaker 6 (48:41):
That and you to hear one of my my my
browser saves recent notes I've used. One of the notes
I have saved here is three metcal I was. I
was participating in the ham Radio Work Benches on the
Air weeks ago. Nice In fact, I I I tied.
It's like six other people in in third place on that.
(49:03):
So that was a lot of fun. But I don't
know if you guys, If you guys know the Hamerady
of Work Benches on the Air podcast, those guys.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
Are absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
We know Van Vince is friend of the show and
yession absolutely.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
While we butted in for just a second, I want
to say I found the whole money is worth of
this whole thing. It's it just it pays for it.
Right there. If you go to your log book and stroll,
you know, click on stats and scroll all the way
to the bottom, it shows your longest contact. It don't
show you the top five, you know, like mine does,
but it shows the longest and everybody likes to brag
(49:37):
about the longest content.
Speaker 6 (49:38):
Yeah, all right, and then let's say here what else?
Oh yeah, we've also got activity logs. So any bulk
edits you do, I was showing you the bulk edits
any any uh, any log book moving you know, between
moving contacts between one bulk, between one log book and another,
any exports, any imports, that will all be logged right here,
(50:01):
and you can just grab this view button and it'll
take you to that update and show you what all changed.
So and this just keeps a complete history there. You
can always go back, take a look at what it was,
and if there's an error then you can just you
can just find those contacts and change that criteria back again.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
So very cool.
Speaker 6 (50:24):
Absolutely all right, I'm gonna I'm going to if you
guys don't mind, I'm gonna go ahead and go through
through a few more of these tabs and then we'll
hit the then we'll hit the the cat Control app.
That's a separate window. It's a desktop app. So if
if that's good with you guys, that's the way.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Yeah, man, you're running the show, buddy, You tell us
what you want to do.
Speaker 6 (50:44):
Good, all right. So nextly we've got this is a
brand new one. We've got analytics here so you can
see I have contacted ninety percent of my of my
one hundred DX award, I've got ninety d X locations
in the log only six of them have confirmed on
World Radio Leaks. So that's this is you know, shows
(51:07):
a double progress there, how many you've got logged, how
many you've got confirmed, and then you get you get
each of these cups. Here is another is another award
you get in your log books so or on your
profile page. So it's it's it's it's a really fun
new one we've got. We've also got it split out
by CW Digital and phone and you can also check
(51:28):
it by the various bands. And then if you scroll
down here you see your number of countries worked and
your number of countries confirmed. How many d X entities
that there still are you can still contact that are
on the d X entity list but you haven't contacted yet,
and the number that you've worked and not confirmed yet.
(51:50):
Then you have this list down here of of the
d X entities you have contacted, ranked by number of
contacts with that entity. So really neat there. And then
you've also got the same thing in the US state.
You can see I've contacted all fifty states, I've confirmed
(52:10):
nineteen of them, and I still have thirty one yet
to go this map as you can see here the
I don't want to start another color argument, but it's this.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
It's teal.
Speaker 5 (52:24):
Andy. What is Andy? What is considered a confirmation? Now?
Speaker 6 (52:29):
So a confirmation is when somebody else logs a contact
on our platform or imports it in later or whatever.
The details match yours. It confirms the contact, puts a
green check mark on it in your log book, and
shows up in your stats here.
Speaker 5 (52:44):
What okay?
Speaker 1 (52:45):
So?
Speaker 5 (52:46):
But what happens? So if I'm old school, you need
a confirmation, you send me a card, I send you
one back. Is the same thing or are we talking
something now? On steroids?
Speaker 6 (52:57):
Actually got a currently, the only way you can confirm
them is by getting the exact same you know, the
same details logged by the other operator. But we have
a we have a feature that's coming up. It's not
it's not like gonna happen like in the next probably
in the next two weeks, but it is coming up
soon where we're gonna have like a physical check mark
(53:18):
on it, so that like if you get a QSL card,
you can just check that contact and uh or if
you confirm it, you know somewhere else you can just
check that uh and uh and that way it'll register
as confirmed in Yeah. Absolutely, And then once again, we
got your stats down here and yeah absolutely, and this.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
Is data analytics on steroids.
Speaker 6 (53:42):
Yeah absolutely believe you me. We we uh yeah, we
we with the database service where we were using we Yeah,
it took us. It took us a while and finding
a lot of workarounds to get everything to work.
Speaker 5 (53:55):
That's a lot of storage and horsepower being used right now, right, Yeah, exactly.
The wonder why my AI takes so long to get
a picture up him.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Until it heard some got your question mark as well.
We'll circle back at the end.
Speaker 6 (54:06):
Here, okay, all right, and then here is the PDA
and soda and w w FF and Islands on the
Air site. So you can see them all on a
map here if you if you zoom way out, of
course they group up because we can't show all of
them at once, but if you if you zoom into
a new location, it'll start pulling.
Speaker 5 (54:28):
The colors will differentiate which parts you have already activated.
Speaker 6 (54:33):
So uh no, we don't have that. We don't have that,
and able if you click on one here, let me
find one that I've activated here.
Speaker 5 (54:41):
Might just wrote it down though, because I saw some
red call I saw some red and greens before.
Speaker 6 (54:46):
That's what was so red is soda. It's got a
little soda icon on it. Dark green it's PDA with
a little tree light green with the leaf is w
w f F. And then we have like an or
icon I believe for the islands on the air. So
if I if I click on one of these that I've
activated before, it shows all you know, it shows kind
(55:09):
of a brief overview of the stats there and it
shows that I active, I've activated it and all that
all that good stuff right here in this little pop
up view on the map. And we've also added sir,
you can pull up in satellite view. We've also added
this list view so you can these are these are
all I think it's like the nearest fifty or nearest
(55:30):
one hundred sites to you, and then you can you
can take that and search it. And it's like impossible
to quickly load all sites all at once, so it
just pulls the fifty nearest to you and then you
can just search by reference if you want to find
a different one, and it'll pull it up for you.
So yeah, that's our that's that's the changes we made
(55:53):
to our activities. That's really one of one of our
biggest drives has been we've kind of started pivoting towards
the the contesting side of things. And I'll get into
that in just a few minutes, but but you know,
we really try to nail down this this portable operating.
Like you mentioned earlier, we have the offline mobile app.
(56:13):
It's offline capable, so you can take it out in
the park, do your prote activation, come back online. It
sinks all your contact your cloud account, and they're all
accessible in your web interface again. And yeah, absolutely, Uh,
this is a spotting page. It's very similar to our
spotting tab in the within a logbook, but you can
just kind of view what's going on on the air
(56:35):
at you know, at any given time. And and and
oh one other feature of this spotting system that I
failed to show you is you can now pause this.
So if you don't want your spots to just keep updating,
this is also available in the logbook view. If you
don't want it to just keep updating constantly, you can
just pause it and then resume here.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
So that's all. So that's a live working at a
live view right now? Correct?
Speaker 6 (57:01):
Yeah, absolutely, this is this is live spots. See here,
looks like, let me see if I can find Yeah,
there's Van in Florida right there, perfect spotted five minutes ago,
so perfect. Absolutely, all right, leaderboard, I'll have to I'll
have to tell Vaughan thank you for being on the air.
He made a great, great demo.
Speaker 5 (57:24):
All right.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
Oh, just a quick shout out to Steve k O
for a f L great to see you. And no,
I'm not timing from the radioly YouTube channel. I'm not
sure I've been behind the behind the keyboard over there,
but all right, yeah exactly, and it's not me, okay,
(57:57):
So here's our here's our leaderboard. A leader board. You
can kind of you know, you can page back through
previous weeks. But right now we've got you know, you've
got uh most contacts overall through through the week, most
most operators by mode or.
Speaker 7 (58:14):
What that.
Speaker 6 (58:15):
I don't know why that tag tag says that. I
have no idea why that tag says that. Let me
shoot that over and have them change that. I think
it's supposed to be most contacts by mode. But anyway, so,
uh yeah, we've got you know, you can page through
the modes and see that there, and then you got
your most contacts overall. Oh there's there's Ken. See him
(58:37):
on the leaderboard. Looks like he's number three. That's fantastic.
But anyway, so you got your longest distance and who's
got the most d X contacts, and then you've got
later boards by state, which I haven't been on the air,
so I'm probably not on the Missouri leader board. But yeah,
looks like it's David. And then uh yeah, you've got
(58:58):
by country here. So and that's just resets every week,
every every second.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
Paper Chaser's dream.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
Yes, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (59:10):
Before I joined the team, I used to try to
top I used to try to top the I used
to try to top the the the leaderboard every week
before I joined the team. But anyway, yeah, so I
don't do that anymore. No time left. Okay, so if
(59:31):
you want to, we can. We can hit a few,
We can hit a few questions now before we move on.
We can keep rolling. It's up to you.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
Yeah, let me grab Let's see. The first one that
came in was from Jimmy. So Jimmy wanted to know,
will it do call stacking when you're logging?
Speaker 6 (59:51):
Call stacking? So, uh, what what exactly does he mean
by call stacking like logging?
Speaker 3 (59:59):
If you had.
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Must be multi off or something.
Speaker 5 (01:00:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
And then the other question.
Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
Was had that request pop end recently? And uh, we've
got some really great ideas kicking around to how to
enable that make it a little easier to do so
well that you'll probably see that before too long. We
don't have that yet.
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
And then the next question was about importing multiple AD
eight I F files.
Speaker 6 (01:00:31):
At a time. No, but well I say that I
don't think they've got that set up. Let me see.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
They probably turned it on while we were on the line.
Speaker 6 (01:00:44):
Yeah, no, at a time. You can't affect multiple but
but you can you know you can you know you
can't import multiple. You're not restricted to one import, but
you can't import multiple at a time. Seven three, Steve, So.
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
Long, Steve, be safe up there out there.
Speaker 6 (01:01:14):
Okay, Frank, I get I get what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Very uh.
Speaker 6 (01:01:18):
I get what you're saying. Now, that's a very great idea.
In fact, where's that comment? Let me screenshot that and
paste it in a note here and I'll shoot that
idea over to the over to the team. Give me
just a second to grab that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
No teams like, gosh, damn, we just got caught up
this week, right.
Speaker 6 (01:01:42):
And this is what I do on like our lives.
You've been a part of our live streams. I'm literally
just like screenshot and comments and like.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
People.
Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
But I keep the boys work gathering feedback.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
If you're not listening to the people, what kind of
product do you make?
Speaker 6 (01:02:02):
I don't know. I still know who's who's typing on
from the world radioly.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
I love it. I think it's great.
Speaker 6 (01:02:09):
I keep putting them to work. No, okay, it's actually
our CEO, James.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Uh you better.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
And he doesn't check that your address?
Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
Ye keyboard keyboard warrior, you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
James, I believe next was contest and you guys have
this is probably the bread and butter on some of
this stuff. That's where I go to check out.
Speaker 6 (01:02:53):
I tell you what is it has been our bread
and butter up until about January, we really started hitting
the contesting platform really hard. This is this is some
territory that we had kind of laid a framework for,
but we hadn't really you know, dove very deep. And
then we were able to partner with the World Radioly
or with with the Winter field Day guys and sou
(01:03:17):
we we kind of hosted a leader board for them
during winterfield Day. That was a lot of fun and
uh and really helped us build our contesting platform out.
Gave us a kind of a kind of a target
to a to a hit, and then after that we've
really been expanding it. So you can see here we've
got all our all the QO parties clear up past
Winter or clear clear past summerfield Day, and we'll continue
(01:03:40):
adding those in here. But we're actually going to be
the official scoreboard for w RTC World Radio Sport Team
Championship twenty twenty six, so whenever that comes around, they'll
be using World Radio League as there as they're logging
and leaderboard, they they probably will use I don't know
(01:04:02):
if we'll use like our our CAC control app for
from their logging from their logging interface into our leaderboard
or if they'll use our interface. But yeah, they're gonna
be using our our system for the leaderboard. But if
you want to jump in a contest, you can just
hit this join for free button and it just jumps
you in there. Whoops, let me try that again. It
(01:04:24):
always happens on alive, don't it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Yep?
Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
Absolutely, Okay, So I'm enrolled in the Arkansas qu Said
party now, so I'll pull that up. And of course
it's waiting to start. It's gonna start in three days,
and well you gotta count downtime or here you can
see exactly when it's gonna start. We've got a leaderboard
here that I'll start to populate when people start logging contacts.
We've got statistics here that shows you know, bands, modes,
(01:04:49):
QSOs per hour, that type of thing. The QOSP hours
are letting it because it logs you know, each hour,
and it shows the UTC hour at the bottom here.
And then let me grab one field day. See if
I've still got.
Speaker 5 (01:05:02):
Yeah, that's what I wanted to say. Yeah, I'll do if.
Speaker 6 (01:05:05):
I've still got that in my history.
Speaker 1 (01:05:07):
Here, I'm just looking at that. Man, this UH seek
Worldwide WPX coming up. Maybe I like this calendar.
Speaker 6 (01:05:19):
There we go Winter field Day right there. So yeah,
so here's we can we can you know, we can
drop a live stream in here for like live streaming
during the during the contest, we had Yeah, we had
seventeen two hundred and sixty four of the winterfield Day
contacts were logged in.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
So cool.
Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
Yeah, absolutely, So here's our here's our top three. Uh,
here's the top ten leader board. Oh, Ernest made it
on the top ten. He's a he's a he's a
really good friend VA three e w V. He's a
good friend of the of the uh of the project. Hey,
Vince V E six l K and the chat. Great
to see you there. Hope you're having a good evening anyway.
(01:05:59):
This map here shows articipants that have enrolled, so wherever
they are in the world, when they enroll in the contest,
the pin pops up on the map. So that's really neat.
Got the latest context?
Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Can you upload context to the already closed contest? I
see something of a will forward finna get knocked off
later board.
Speaker 6 (01:06:26):
Tell you what, tell you what, give it, give it
a shot, and and we we I think we added
that logic to a later h to a later update
on our contesting platform. I'm not sure if it got
applied to Winterfield the or not. Give it a shot.
If it doesn't work, reach out to our reach out
to me, send me a message. We'll give them a
good workout.
Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
You make the CEO work. You just said it, so
I'm gonna talk to you.
Speaker 5 (01:06:53):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:06:53):
So here's here's our the bands that were you know,
that were logged during the during the contest, modes that
were used, and then down here this is really neat.
This is the UTC hours during the contest, and you
can just see the curve of what, you know, what
hours performed really well during the contest versus which ones
were like really poor. So it's a really neat yeah
(01:07:17):
in the morning, Yeah absolutely, Yeah. So it's a really
really neat visualization there of the data. Then you've got
of course, you've got your your this is your leaderboard page,
so this shows you know, the the top twenty and
then you can go tap through this by you know,
by class of operator. You know, uh, you've got your
(01:07:41):
you've got your your your high class, well actually it's home,
but anyway, and then you've got then you've got your
your your at your indoor, outdoor and mobile, so yeah, absolutely.
And then we've got your statistics page here, which is
just a you know, a kind of a full screen
visualization of what we were looking at earlier. You've got
(01:08:01):
the map of participants in a full screen view, and
the latest contacts down here you can see, you know,
the list of contacts. And then your rules page. This, uh,
this just encompasses all the contests rules and it shows
you kind of gives you a list there of who
all's who else contesting, who all's you know, enrolled in
(01:08:22):
the contest. And then you've got your own log books.
So here we've got class and section we have for
for the contests that are now contests that have been
going on lately, some of them have had serial numbers,
so we now have a serial number field that you
can literally just populate with a number. Then every time
(01:08:43):
you log a contact, it will just increment that number
by one. If you if you'd like delete an old contact,
it doesn't it doesn't affect your your incrementing. It just
you know, it just stays wherever your last war and
keeps keeps going. Yeah. Absolutely. And we also for winter Field,
they had we have this object actives tab over here,
so you can kind of check off I was I
was really lazy, I guess, and didn't get any of
(01:09:04):
the objectives checked off.
Speaker 5 (01:09:05):
But you can check me off and it you know it.
Speaker 6 (01:09:08):
Of course this year they had to multiply your score
by that by that number, so uh yeah, absolutely. And
then here you can see the logbook stats from that
from that log book and the the map which that
map was a it was a it was a fun
map to share. So I didn't I didn't rank very
(01:09:30):
high at the contest, but I did have So it.
Speaker 5 (01:09:32):
Doesn't make a difference. Man, you participated, That's right, it
doesn't make it. There's really no last here. You participated.
Speaker 6 (01:09:41):
Absolutely. So then on these on these contests that are
going on, you can see Brad one of uh he's
he recently joined the team. He's been really helping us
out with these these contests.
Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Here.
Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
I'm gonna get his call signed wrong if I say
it off the top of my head. I believe it's
K four a's z E sou. If you if you
go over here now into the rules page, you can
see he's got really extensive he's got all the rules
you know listed in here really nicely. Oh yeah, shout
out to him for for doing a really great job
(01:10:14):
there on that. But yeah, absolutely, nice job, nice job.
Speaker 7 (01:10:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
Now we can go to the where we are integrations.
This is brand new, so here is where we can
start looking at cat Control. So we've got our our
cat Control app here. We're still getting you know, some
final some final kinks worked out of it and you know,
making sure we have all our guides set up so
(01:10:41):
people know how to use it. But this is functioning,
so if you want to try it out. We've got
it for Apple, Silicon, Mac, Intel, Windows, and we're planning
on launching Linux soon as well, so keep.
Speaker 5 (01:10:54):
It everybody happy.
Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
Absolutely, W S J t X, N one, M M
and N three f j P integrations are all included
in the cat Control app. So if you have like
your UDP stream set up in any of those softwares,
you there's a little button inside the app that just
says start listening under that under that software you can
just click that start listening button and starts streaming them
(01:11:17):
across to your just straight your logbook. As you log them,
you get to actually pick which logbook you want the
contacts to be logged into. So you know, if you
set up a PODA activation logbook, you can just click
that logbook and stream them straight into there. And oh yeah,
the WSJTX integration. WSJTX does not like to play nicely
(01:11:40):
with anything else trying to control the radio at the
same time. So if you run into that issue, we
have a disconnect WRL CAT control button in there. Just
click that button. In fact, I can pull up let
me pull up the app here. I don't think I
can share them both at the same time, but I'll
pull up the app here and show unless you do
(01:12:00):
one out of time, so let me stop screen share
window your okay, control, there we go should be popping
up there. You can add that in yep, I got it.
There we go. So if I jump over here and
(01:12:24):
start radio connection, should pick it up.
Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
Unless you're live.
Speaker 6 (01:12:34):
Yeah, unless I'm live, of course, radio connect, I go
to fourteen dot oh seven four. We can see that
as meter jump up there right here in the middle.
And if I switch between A and B frequency. You
can see this pop back and forth. I switch right there.
(01:12:56):
If I keep up the PTT, that life the bread
and then whenever I want to sign in with one
of these integrations here I can just click. If it's
w s at X, I would recommend doing this unless
you're using like grid track or something like that where
you can stream them all in together. But yeah, click
this stop radio or who I clicked the wrong one?
(01:13:18):
Click this stop radio connection button right here, and then
you can go down here and click start listening. You know,
if you have w s at X running, just click
start listing. It'll just stream those across that UDP port.
This is the one. I think this is the default
UDP port, But if you haven't set up differently for
some reason, then you can just edit that here intellect
(01:13:40):
the logbook you want it to be logged into. Let
me change this, because I've got a new logbook now
for May. Okay, and then same within one mm and
three f JP. Just set up your UDP port. I'm
on a Mac right now, so I can't demo either
of those, but just just to set up your UDP
port and and your logbook and start listening.
Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
So I just cut the care control connected with my
uh log four O M running and win.
Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
Win four I com running.
Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
You know, it was with the virtual serial of hoards
and stuff. So you can do that. That's cool.
Speaker 6 (01:14:14):
Yeah, absolutely, So, I'm I'm gonna go ahead and drop
this out here while I'm while I'm pulling the other
screen back up. Do we have any more questions you
want to cover?
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Yeah? We had one that pomped in it says, uh,
let's see does w r L work for a double
double a double r l v HF contest in June,
September and January asking for our.
Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
Friend, Hey Mike, great to see you into m a
K there. So yeah, let's let's take a look and
see if we've got those set up yet. I'm gonna
jump back to this integrations page here in just a second.
I guess you don't have it pulled up yet. That's
(01:14:56):
that's all good. Let me jump back to the contest
page here and we'll take a lot. Craig, do you
wanna do you want to add my stream to the yep?
Speaker 5 (01:15:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (01:15:06):
So let's see here able r l v HF. Let
me shoot Brad message about that. We can absolutely add
it in there, and it's your able r l v
HF contests. Let me shoot Brad a message right quick
and see if he can add those in there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
They're getting a workout today.
Speaker 6 (01:15:30):
Absolutely, I don't.
Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
Data. He's trying to pack for Dayton and we're giving
them more work here. M hmm.
Speaker 6 (01:15:43):
I'm not gonna make it to Dayton. Unfortunately, We've got
we've got members of the team coming, uh Jim, professor
Jim from Ham Radio Prep and then James, the CEO
of both companies. They're they're going to be at Dayton
and uh so stop by and see them at the booth.
But unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to make it
(01:16:03):
this year.
Speaker 5 (01:16:06):
This year either.
Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
So I went and enrolled in the Mississippi QSO contest,
which was already you know, completed, and now it showed
me third with zero context. I was able to go
upload my eighty I and put it into my contest log.
It has processed completed three hundred and seven contexts, but
it says total successful zero, so it's not showing up
(01:16:29):
in there. And it may be like, oh that that.
Speaker 6 (01:16:32):
Successful number takes a couple of minutes. You might have
to refresh the page before that updates that total successful.
As long as it didn't show you any errors, then
you can give it a couple of minutes and it
should should refresh for you. We've had people reporting.
Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
The drink though Bright.
Speaker 6 (01:16:50):
It's okay, But.
Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Are you saying that Ham's getting patient about their logs?
Speaker 5 (01:16:58):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Okay, so.
Speaker 5 (01:17:03):
Guys know, guys know where they are in a leader board,
but they don't know their kids birthdake. That that's why.
Speaker 6 (01:17:12):
So back to this integrations page here, we've now got
q r Z call signed.
Speaker 5 (01:17:16):
Look up.
Speaker 6 (01:17:17):
We were using a third party service that let's just
say it had some issues. So, uh we we switched
to using a uh we're we're we're kind of trying
to at this point, we're primarily using this service. We
have a backup service where we're also using for people
who don't have a qr as that subscription. But this,
(01:17:39):
you know, this is going to pull you know, a
lot of data. But we're actually developing. We're building currently
as we speak, we're building our own, uh internal database.
And once we tell that all together, then you know, free,
free users will be able to to access that data
even if you don't have a car ed lookup. You know,
you'll you'll still get access to to you know, a
(01:18:02):
lot of the same data. So that should be that
should be ready. It might it might take us a
few weeks to get that finalized, but but yeah, we'll
have that ready soon. But in the meantime, I I
don't want to leave the impression we don't have a
we don't have a service running right now. We do
have a backup service running that is doing call signed lookups.
It's just not the original service we were using. So
(01:18:24):
if you had trouble with our original service, we've got
a different one now. So and then of course we've
got we've got the community chat page here. Uh it
opens up a new tab which I'm not gonna switch
it really but at this at this point, but if
you want to, you can go do community dot world,
Radio League dot com and and pull up our our
(01:18:44):
our community page there and we've got a lot of forums,
a lot of a lot of chats, and so go
jump in there, and that's where we can edge you
as a beta tester if you want to find the
beta chat or the beta the beta forum, and we'll
get you added on the fine members near me. That
hasn't really changed a whole lot. That's just basically, you
(01:19:05):
know you can find fine members in your area.
Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
Reported is that like only Hams.
Speaker 6 (01:19:13):
It's it's basically so you could just find Hams located
near you and uh reach out you've.
Speaker 2 (01:19:19):
Got has only dot Com.
Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Oh, they'll be and they'll be a folder there for
sad Hams. You know that they'll be there. They'll be
a folder for everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
I'm looking at Joe Brick's contest page and he ain't
got these third place, he got no context. So sorry,
sorry brog Yet I know you tried.
Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
I'm going to sign up for paid membership.
Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
So maybe that's how bad he wants to be in
first place, y'all.
Speaker 5 (01:19:50):
He doesn't know, he doesn't know where Costa Rica is,
but man, he knows. He has worked them about a leader.
All were Costa Rica.
Speaker 6 (01:20:00):
M on our on our report of bug page. Just
so everybody knows if you are, if you if you
find something, please please please drop it here and submitted
bug report. We we we want to hear from you absolutely,
and we we've kind of we kind of tried to
build a reputation of jumping on anything that pops up
right away and getting it getting it taken care of.
(01:20:21):
So to submit one, if it's yeah, just my subscription
showing free, it takes a minute.
Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
It takes a minute.
Speaker 6 (01:20:36):
If it's if it's possible for you to use this
loom service, it's uh, we've got a link to it
in here. If you can use that to record just
a quick screen recorded video and drop a link to
it in the in the bug report. That helps us
out a lot, just to see, you know, what's going on.
Speaker 5 (01:20:52):
I want to a sticker for work all clubhouse members,
that's what.
Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
Yeah, there you go?
Speaker 6 (01:20:56):
There you go, well you know what if you yeah,
if you if you guys, I I honestly and in
all seriousness, it would actually be kind of kind of
need to have something like that. So if you guys
are really really interested.
Speaker 5 (01:21:08):
What did I say? What did I start?
Speaker 6 (01:21:10):
Might be able to work something out maybe if we
would be honored if you guys give us a shout
out sixty times per show. No I'm kidding, but.
Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
I'm go ahead and get the in stream.
Speaker 6 (01:21:22):
But if you're if you're interested in and you know,
maybe maybe we can get you some sort.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Of did start to show it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
Features the radio prop.
Speaker 5 (01:21:36):
Didn't you come on last time and you did the
fast round with us? I think you said chicken right?
Or was his stake? I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:21:46):
He doesn't even remember my answer now, does.
Speaker 5 (01:21:48):
He was it fish? I don't know. We'll have to
go back. But you don't like barbarcue potato chips?
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
I think that's you right down. See there's got you've got.
Speaker 6 (01:22:01):
You've got to have a problem if you don't like
barbecue potato chips. And I'm sorry, Yeah, I think I
have a problem.
Speaker 5 (01:22:06):
Then yeah, I have.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
Two. Well, so I guess that pretty much covers the
gist of that. Do you want to do you have
the ability to show the app? I don't know if
you have an emulator to show the that you could
show the app.
Speaker 6 (01:22:24):
Let's see if I do give me just a second here,
I'll see if I can jump in.
Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
And while we're while we're waiting here, we did get
another question. Uh, do you guys have an enhancement for
field day for multi stations under a club?
Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Call from multiple browsers.
Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
Excellent question, Eric, excellent.
Speaker 6 (01:22:45):
It from multi stations under a club? Okay, so yes, absolutely,
But what you need to do is you need to
currently you're gonna have to all sign in to the
same account. We're going to be working on that in
the future to have it where you can set up
But if you set up a club account, or if
you want to all sign into the same members account
(01:23:06):
and just change the call sign you're all using on
the logbook, you can do that too. You can literally
just change the call sign out of the call sign
and log a bunch of contacts under a different call
sign if you want to, so you can do that,
or you can all you can create a club account,
all signed into that account, however you want to handle it. Yes,
you can. You can all log in from and we
can see into the same account.
Speaker 5 (01:23:27):
And how just for a suggestion, would it help because
you know, the back end, the front end of the
back game for something like that under the club call sign,
but then there were fields where you put individual operators
call signs. This way you take the where you're grabbing
the data. Not only will the club get its credit,
but those individual people in those fields. Is that a
(01:23:48):
good suggestion or do I make it really hard.
Speaker 6 (01:23:51):
We actually have? Yeah, that's that's that's definitely an idea.
I think I think that's kind of in the design.
Something similar is in the design that we have coming.
But so so basically, if you all, if you sign
into your kind of what we have envisioned is if
you if you're signed in with your with your account,
(01:24:13):
and then somebody invites you to like jump in on
a club log book, you can all be in like
you can the the moderator or or you know, club
president whoever can invite a bunch of call signs all
the one logbook. You can all be in there and
log under that club call sign. But it will also
give credit to each individual account that's you know, that's
accessing that. That's kind of that's kind of the idea
(01:24:35):
that we have. But let me let me share my
Let me share my mobile app here for you. I
think I'm in hold on, don't don't add me yet
my my audio? Okay, that should help.
Speaker 5 (01:24:59):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (01:24:59):
I don't think I can share my screening on my
mobile device.
Speaker 5 (01:25:03):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (01:25:04):
Broj for the mobile app also works on a Mac
uh so an Apple Silicon so I can I can
either share it here or you guys can share it
either way. I don't care. But let me let me
if you.
Speaker 5 (01:25:17):
Look at Joe Bretch I'll say, if you look at
Joe Bretch, does that help you?
Speaker 6 (01:25:21):
Andy here, I've already I've already got it. Well, that's what.
Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
How do we know if so the Clubhouse has a
has an account? So how do we know if it's
a if it's a club account, or if it's a
regular account.
Speaker 6 (01:25:44):
Well, the only difference I mean is the call sign.
You don't really necessarily have to like tag it as
a club account. You can just set it up with
the club call sign.
Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
But if we but but like so, if we were
to work the radio tonight and I was lugged in
to already league on my browser as the Clubhouse, and
is the logs in from as the clubhouse, and Joe
brtt logs in as all of us are logging contacts,
it should show up on the clubhouse page. Right.
Speaker 6 (01:26:14):
Oh yeah, they all they all pop in under that
under that account. Yep, okay, okay, yeah, absolutely, So I'm
gonna have to go ahead and use what you've got there.
If you want to full screen that that tab there,
that way we can see it. My mind's updating right now.
It's my internet connection is slow enough. It's taken a minute. Yeah,
So see there you can go to the activities.
Speaker 5 (01:26:38):
Tab Brett look at that.
Speaker 6 (01:26:47):
So now you can uh that that'll pull up like
the total locations everything in your area. If you tap
one of those right quick, I do, it's one of
those locations.
Speaker 5 (01:27:00):
Okay, Joe Bretzel on two g over, Well.
Speaker 6 (01:27:06):
There we go.
Speaker 5 (01:27:06):
Okay, bringing the top.
Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
There you go.
Speaker 6 (01:27:15):
So now you can see there what your stats are
at that at that location. You can open it in
maps there and that will literally like pull up Google
Maps for you and uh and you can take a
look at that. You've got the light and dark mode
button up at the top corner. Not in Google Maps,
you don't, but in the oh you got the light
(01:27:36):
and dark mode. You've got access to the world Readily
community in there, your profile, you know, all your logbooks,
that's all in there.
Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
Founding remember fourteen seventy eight.
Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
Wow, you're all special and stuff.
Speaker 6 (01:27:55):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, showing your last fifty you can change
that to your last I think all the way up
to your last like two hundred or five hundred or something.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
So you can so you can do PoTA from this.
Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
So Joe Brant, you want to show how how you
can set up to be where you could you could
PoTA without an.
Speaker 6 (01:28:13):
Internet really this is really great, so you can you
can create it from that view there, or you can
just go to your logbooks page and open a new
start a new pote. Go to your logbooks down at
the bottom a ham Radio two point zero. Great to
see you, so.
Speaker 1 (01:28:30):
Jason, Hey Jason.
Speaker 6 (01:28:33):
So if you create, if you have to create a
new logbook button there and you can. You can add
a PODA, a w F w w f F side
a soda site. You can add multiple different ones like
I can do so, or a PODA and a w
w FF. I've got a location close to me that
I can do both at the same time. You can
auto spot yourself to the parks on the air spotting page.
(01:28:56):
So anybody, even if they're not using World Readily League,
if they're looking at the potat spotting page, still see you.
Speaker 5 (01:29:02):
And what happens if you're what happens if you're in
a park and it's all right.
Speaker 6 (01:29:13):
You can add up to we've either got it, set
this to five or seven. You can add at a.
Speaker 5 (01:29:18):
Time, gotchause that's always you know, guys are all are
always asking. Guys are always asking, right, Guys are always
asking that questions. I'm in a two for three for activator.
Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 6 (01:29:33):
If you don't mind, could you share my my screen? There?
Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
There we go?
Speaker 6 (01:29:38):
So this is this now just just a heads up,
I'll give you a kind of a future a future
snink peek here. We are going to be launching a
desktop app soon, so uh be excited for that. It'll
be offline capable, just like the mobile app is just
sink when you get back to service, so be on
the lookout for that. But yeah, so if you want to,
(01:29:58):
you can go over here. Two activities a lot to
find my location. I can grab this PoTA park near me.
I can create a logbook here from this from this
site right here. That created me a new logbook on
the with with that title, so that I know what
(01:30:19):
you know. It should have a park number and everything
up there. Jason KB one to b a c SIS
Mac os first place. We should be launching it on
Mac and Windows at the same time. I believe we'll see.
You've got settings here. You can go in and add
more activities later, like WWFF soda. You can export if
I if I add a let me just add a
soda site here let's be just a random one. But
(01:30:42):
you can add if you if you do that and
pull us back up, so you can. You've got exports
individual exports for your PoTA site. And this is not
let's see here anyways.
Speaker 7 (01:30:58):
Let me refresh it right quick here.
Speaker 6 (01:31:06):
Anyway, I think it I think it would have. Oh
it didn't. It didn't.
Speaker 7 (01:31:09):
It didn't keep his eyes on the other view.
Speaker 6 (01:31:12):
Okay, find my soda.
Speaker 7 (01:31:17):
There we go. Now, let's refresh the stings.
Speaker 6 (01:31:20):
Anyways, it should show up on the on the web
app if I go there. At These logbooks sink on
the web app too, so you can go pull them
up on the web bat. But you can export Poda
specific aight if files you know, tailored to upload to
the PoTA site, ones that are tailored to upload to
or send into to send into w w FF guys,
you know, they're just they're just ready to roll. So
that's really handy. So this PoTA auto spot like I said,
(01:31:45):
that'll send a send a spot or something just straight
to the to the Poda spotting page. You can you
can log a park to park here. You can log
up to once again, it's either five or seven uh
parks for the other guy, you've got your notes feel here,
all the state of here, and then what's what's really
(01:32:07):
neat here is I can I can do this? So
I believe it's I can't remember all the shortcuts. Anyway,
We've got some shortcuts in here where you can change
the time. I think it's like I think you can
do like minus two h yeah, and then you then
you can just click done and it's sets your time
(01:32:28):
back by an hour. And you know, we've got some
some some many short cuts in there, and then you
just click this current UTC if you've got it changed.
But anyway, you've got your map here, your logbook map.
If I log the contacts that will start to populate.
You got your spots listed in your mobile app. You
can pull it up, take a look. But anyway, yeah,
that's the your bank condition's widget.
Speaker 2 (01:32:48):
Yeah, if you're doing it. You said, if you're doing
an activation and you're in in a two for where
do you put your your multiple parks or can you?
Speaker 4 (01:32:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:32:57):
Absolutely, So I'll just show you what I'm creating a
new one because that's probably when you're gonna want to
do it. So I can go find my poda, grab one,
grab another. Oh, okay, gotcha grab another. Yeah, they just
add his bags here. You just remove one by yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:33:13):
Andy, can you go to the spotting page? Can you
grab here?
Speaker 6 (01:33:16):
Is that you can export a and a IF for
each of those parks right here separately, So it just
creates a separate one with the correct number on it
to upload to PoTA site.
Speaker 5 (01:33:26):
I'm sure guys are going to have a question on
about this one.
Speaker 6 (01:33:28):
Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
You're in your log, you're in the park, you're operating.
Can you grab if you go to your spotting page? Uh,
just click, just go to spots and then let's just
say you your work and when d you see you
work Junie, she's on forty CW right now?
Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
Uh huh?
Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
Is it as simple as as as copy of the
spot there you go so and then and then when
you work or bang, you just you would have hit
that little blue tab on the bottom there and then
now you work her.
Speaker 6 (01:33:59):
Yeah. Absolutely, Yeah. If you're on your if you're on
a computer, you just or or using the separate keyboarding
enter But yeah, you just use this a little blue.
Speaker 5 (01:34:07):
So you can so you can so you can work
your contacts off first without Yeah, that's a nice feature.
Speaker 6 (01:34:14):
Give me two minutes. I need to pop out for
just a second here I had something come up. Give me,
give me two minutes and.
Speaker 5 (01:34:18):
I'll The boss is probably saying, I'm go easy for
crying out loud or you're doing a great job. Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
I need I need to add the app to my
UH to my iPad so next to them. Next time
I go poda, I'll try this one out. I was
trying Polo out the last time and he was giving
me a cramp in the bag.
Speaker 5 (01:34:42):
What I like, listen, no disrespect to these guys and
anyone else out there. I like the fact that there's
different logging software for different people. We all this is
why we all run chevyes Fords, Toyota's Dodge Rams. We
all run different We're still gonna get there, but yeah,
we you know. So this is this is this is
really good.
Speaker 2 (01:35:03):
Judy says the ups guys and Andy tour with Tuber.
It's atas Andy over in the u K. When when
do you leave for for him? Mentioned one morning and
you're gonna work radio on your way up, You're gonna
stop and grab some podas on the way up.
Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
I'm not gonna stop. So I look at this batsman
breaks maybe a drive something.
Speaker 5 (01:35:28):
No, Bucky's on the air. M hm.
Speaker 6 (01:35:31):
Put on the way back. You're gonna stop in the
park and in another state.
Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
I don't know?
Speaker 5 (01:35:37):
Yeah, man, why not?
Speaker 1 (01:35:39):
I'm I if I find I find me an atas
I might. If not, you got, you got?
Speaker 5 (01:35:48):
He's serious, I know he's you know, I would be
doing the same thing too. He's high support to Joe Brett,
no disrespect to Gene. But guess what.
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:36:02):
Sorry, because at that point it's plug and play. It's
plug and play. You know that there's you.
Speaker 1 (01:36:08):
Know, oh yeah, I guess think five band antenna, but
it's two meters four.
Speaker 2 (01:36:21):
Throw a hamstick in the in the back of the car,
right magmaut you know twenty?
Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
I don't. I don't have a magmount in an daft
for the ham stick.
Speaker 5 (01:36:31):
You don't have a try You don't have a try
magmount three no more. Well, then that's why you're going
to hand Vension.
Speaker 1 (01:36:39):
Given thirty five dollars for a magnet, but is not
a bad price for three mains?
Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
Frank, you don't know who's pushing buttons back here.
Speaker 3 (01:36:48):
I swear.
Speaker 1 (01:36:53):
Something's happening. Would you do nine you confirmed contexts job Jason. Yeah,
I'm waiting for Jason to pick a fort frequency for
or drive you mentioned on his live stream and a
puppedy in last minute.
Speaker 6 (01:37:12):
All right, I'm back. Sorry about that, guess, no problem.
Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
Yes, so we're just shooting the breeze where you go.
Speaker 1 (01:37:17):
So I throw the tuner in the truck. Yeah, I
have the right cable to make it.
Speaker 6 (01:37:21):
I figured you guys wouldn't. I wouldn't suffer too bad
if I if I was gone for a couple of minutes. Okay, anyway,
good start where we at.
Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
We were talking about about the app and your offline.
Speaker 6 (01:37:36):
He said, when you get back into Selle, signals will
all sink back up. Absolutely. So if I was offline
right now, it would just find a little banner pop
up that had a kind of an upload button on it.
Whenever you get online, you can either use the upload
button or usually it just does it automatically and you
don't have to worry about it.
Speaker 5 (01:37:54):
So, and just like anything else, if you're offline, no
cell service, you're not gonna have a spotting page. That's okay,
because you're just gonna put their call sign in their
park number and hit and there and it's done.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
Yeah, should answer your question. There is a parks Park
button right there at the bottom of the log there's
stuff here.
Speaker 6 (01:38:12):
P twop right there, I can enter us. And and
if if somebody's uh spotted on the PODA page, let
me see who's on coder right now.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (01:38:27):
Looks like Julie's on.
Speaker 5 (01:38:28):
Yeah, no, Juny, that's our girl, Junie. Quick question.
Speaker 6 (01:38:33):
Julie's on right here, Uh, Julie kJ four year Yeah, yeah,
she's one. So yeah, right here at automatically populates her
PoTA park if she's already spotted on Poda, So you
don't even have to nice if you have.
Speaker 5 (01:38:46):
And and if for some reason she's in a two
for you, just add the other four digits. Will it
automatically grab it? You don't have to go U as
hyphen right, yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:38:55):
So you can just go like one, you're a two
to one five. I just just for example that yeah,
for example, you just grab it.
Speaker 5 (01:39:02):
Ye there.
Speaker 6 (01:39:02):
Yeah, now this is really neat. We've also added this
to the web app and I should have showed you
this earlier, but it pops up right the blow of
the logging window. You can click this it shows you
all your previous contacts with with whoever, whatever call sign
you pop in there. Cool, no matter what log buckets in,
they're just all listed there.
Speaker 5 (01:39:19):
So andy, I'm gonna ask a dumb question. You work
her again, You work her again? A twenty meters sidemand
will will the word dupe come in or something? Or
tell you? You know, don't be an idiot, You're ready,
you know you already worked. There is there is there
like a dupe red button that says it's.
Speaker 6 (01:39:35):
Within fifteen minutes and on the same UTC day, then yes,
But if it's on separate UTC days, like if it's
a break.
Speaker 5 (01:39:43):
Like an a different separate contact yeap for separate contact yep, yep.
Speaker 6 (01:39:49):
But yes, if it's if it's all the same data,
all the same band mode, everything, and it's within fifteen minutes, it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:53):
Will flag as dupe perfect Yep.
Speaker 6 (01:39:56):
Absolutely, And I think we said our contests to where
contest wide, they flag as dupe in those in those
in those cases for the entire duration of the contest.
And me, what's some more questions, guys, we've got I've
got I've got definitely got more to talk about. I
can talk about my knitting.
Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
But uh, well we're we got about twenty minutes left,
so if you want to if you want to get that, yeah,
everybody might be interested since we tease that you get.
Speaker 1 (01:40:29):
I'm gonna I'm gonna share it to the stage here.
Speaker 5 (01:40:31):
Okay, Joe Brett, you have the floor.
Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
I figured it out and.
Speaker 5 (01:40:38):
Look at Joe Bratt the.
Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
Bill Ford apologize, but it is what it is. So
what I had to do was go in and set
my location for my logwood. Once I did that's it started,
and then I re uploaded pop right up. Anyway, I
just want to share there first place.
Speaker 2 (01:41:01):
Ye yeah, absolutely, you might have to take a half
a baby as for that migrant.
Speaker 1 (01:41:13):
All right, so.
Speaker 6 (01:41:17):
Yeah, absolutely, Just just real briefly here I was. I
was wanting to show you guys what I got rolling here,
so I may share a a video with you if
you don't mind here in just a second, because I
realized I don't have an assembled unit here, but I've
got an awful lot of parts that I can I
can demo exactly how this thing works, and that kind
of show you a quick video.
Speaker 5 (01:41:38):
Well tell us, why tell us, tell us why you
are developing your own attennat what was just the parts
around or what was what was your No, No, I
got a printer and.
Speaker 6 (01:41:50):
I had an idea, and uh, the two of us
together were extremely dangerous for about three weeks. And then
after the three D printer in the idea came together
at all at all has been working really well.
Speaker 5 (01:42:01):
So actually, well that's how it starts.
Speaker 3 (01:42:04):
Do you need to send me the video file to play?
Speaker 6 (01:42:08):
I'll share it here and just I'll share it here
in just a minute. But the the basis behind the uh,
behind the idea is I wanted something it would be
easy to deploy, easy to to wind up, like you know,
on on on, you know, just kind of wind it
up on a disc kind of thing. And it's not like,
you know, it's not like your your winder's flopping all
(01:42:30):
out while you're trying to unroll it. You can just
literally just unroll it out like like off a roller,
that type of thing. And and it took me a
little while to figure out how to get the toroid
the transformer all built into the unit, but I finally
figured it out. I was probably I'm just kind of
slow on the uh on the on the design side
of things, but I finally got to figure it out. Hey,
Josh uh hamshak t v a A four w X.
(01:42:53):
Good to see you. But anyway, this is this is
a partially assembled unit. It doesn't have all the wires
and everything yet. But it's called the infed Biscuit. This
is my twenty meter version. It's got an FT eighty
two toroid wound at a forty nine to one, which
I initially rated for around twenty watts, and then two
(01:43:13):
hundred and fifty pounds of YEA. Sue Clayton took it
out on an activation and did uh did like a
thirty minute activation one hundred wats SSB with no issues.
So we removed the QRP tag on it and.
Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
He pushed it. He pushed it to the He pushed
it to a a a limit, not all the all
the way, but he pushed it to a limit. Yeah
it was.
Speaker 6 (01:43:35):
I think it was an artificial limit because as good
as he did, I yeah it was. It worked. It
worked pretty well for him. So I think I'm frozen.
That's good.
Speaker 5 (01:43:45):
Still here, good man, you're good.
Speaker 3 (01:43:46):
Yeah, everything's good.
Speaker 2 (01:43:47):
On Arian, Nope, you're good, You're good.
Speaker 6 (01:43:51):
Okay, Okay, there we go.
Speaker 2 (01:43:52):
We're good.
Speaker 6 (01:43:53):
All right, we're back. We're back.
Speaker 1 (01:43:54):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:43:55):
So so basically all the way it worked, called.
Speaker 5 (01:43:58):
That kid to stop playing Minecraft.
Speaker 6 (01:44:03):
Yeah she's she's she's only a year. Well she's gonna
be a year old tomorrow, so she's not on the computer. Yeah,
thank you. I'll tell you thank you for her.
Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
There you go.
Speaker 6 (01:44:22):
Yeah that that mean a whole lot there at this point.
But you can see here. The way it works is
the toroid. If you wind it, it drops down into
this slot right here, right in there. It's just made
made to fit. And uh, then these two pieces here
come together and just slide together like that. You get
(01:44:46):
this unit here. So you've got a winding knob here.
I think I'm I think I dropped you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:44:52):
No, you're there, you're there, you're there.
Speaker 5 (01:44:55):
Keep on going and keep on going.
Speaker 6 (01:44:58):
I okay, all right. Anyway, so we we have a
strengthen crew on this side, all of our kits and everything. Uh,
even if you get the kid, it'll already have the
strengthening screw in here, just because that that that that
keeps the the the pin from sharing on us. But
we got a washer on this side. We got the
winding knob here be and C connector here the to roid.
(01:45:20):
The wires come off the toroid out these two little
holes right here, and and just solder onto your B
and C connector and you can just spill it up,
wind it up like so and here. Let me share
a couple of videos right quick of winding and unwinding
(01:45:40):
this thing. If you want to share my if you
don't mind that I drop a link in the chat.
I'll drop my YouTube link in the chat if somebody
wants to go subscribe, and then I'll also drop my
my website link in if if I can. I'm not
sure I've got the permissions to drop the link, but anyway,
(01:46:01):
I'll try.
Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
Won't let me add your whatever you my screen up there.
Speaker 6 (01:46:07):
I'm having slow internet, so I can't tell if you've
got my screen pulled up round.
Speaker 3 (01:46:11):
Nope, it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:46:12):
I think.
Speaker 3 (01:46:12):
I think that's what's slowing down your internet.
Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
If it's the if it's the video that's on your
on your website, I can play that.
Speaker 3 (01:46:23):
I think we lost it.
Speaker 6 (01:46:25):
It's it's let me let me close the whole bunch
of extra tabs that I don't need here and see
that helps the Here's the lead guy I've ever really
brought to market. But it's nice. Weeks ago I thought,
you know, there's it's that's that's you're probably not the video, okay,
okay at uh yeah, I had a whole bunch of
(01:46:46):
unnecessary tabs open. That's what was eating my connection. So
first of all, I'm going to show you this short
clip right here. This is me unwinding the uh the
infed biscuit. If it'll load here, It's gonna be slow
about it, but it should load here in just a second.
Speaker 3 (01:47:19):
I can pop it up on my side.
Speaker 6 (01:47:20):
If it doesn't, okay, okay, it's not yeah, yeah, go
for it. If you don't mind. It's the the in
fed biscuit coming sin video. You can see how it unrolls.
And then also I've got a short i'd like for
you to share if you don't mind after that, so
(01:47:43):
when you can, when you can share that also if
you don't mind share my My website link is in
zero ap x dot com. If you don't mind, you
can drop that too, because I don't like.
Speaker 3 (01:47:55):
Yeah, Joe Brad's taking care of it for you.
Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
All right, let me share this that with audio hopefully
we won't get you.
Speaker 6 (01:48:06):
You can get the audio. It's not really necessary. You
can just you don't have to share the audio. Here's
the intense up to you either.
Speaker 5 (01:48:22):
Andy, while we're waiting, what are you drinking?
Speaker 6 (01:48:27):
It's a milkshake from a local from a local ice
cream shop. If you have a chance and you're in Marshfield,
go to Planet Gumball. They have the best ice cream
anywhere around you use Chocolate Shop ice cream from Wisconsin.
It's amazing, excellent.
Speaker 5 (01:48:43):
I can't talk full radio tonight talk about milkshakes.
Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
Oh yeah, So basically you just grab it in the
aank it and that is I need to go up
on a on a on a mask or actually does
it looks like you're you're about to hoist it up into.
Speaker 6 (01:49:09):
Yeah, you can figure it however you want to configure it. Yeah,
it's just in fed halfway. So basically you want to
grab the side opposite the b n C connector grab
the side when you're winding and unwinding, because the side
is the one that that that spins with the wire.
The sides of the the part that fits inside and
doesn't you know, is stationary the whole time. So grab
(01:49:30):
the side opposite the bncature. I have a short on.
Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
I'm getting on there.
Speaker 6 (01:49:36):
I okay, it's it's the one where.
Speaker 3 (01:49:40):
How easy it is to wind it up?
Speaker 6 (01:49:42):
Yes, yes, that's it. That was an addition after that
first video. I had a ham Jacob kJ five eyes
that as recommend this and it is. It's absolutely been
a game changer.
Speaker 2 (01:49:56):
So so you just grab opposite of the like that
and roll Itbecca.
Speaker 6 (01:50:04):
Yeah, grab it opposite of the BNC just like I
just like I showed you.
Speaker 5 (01:50:07):
And yeah, see I find this interesting because now we're
gonna have I don't want to say award the wars,
but to go with the spool, or go with the winder,
or or go with the traditional winers. Yeah once again,
yeah man, but it's nice to get. Options are great.
Options are absolutely great for everybody.
Speaker 6 (01:50:27):
Yeah, absolutely, oh yeah, anyway, yeah so so so Yeah,
Clayton pushed one hundred watts for a half hour activation
through it. It has to SB with no issue. I am.
I'm actually finalizing the design for a forty meter version
of this thing, so that should be available. So this
(01:50:49):
is a twenty meter infed halfway. I'm finalizing the forty
meter version of it, and I'm gonna double stack the
toroid and I'll probably wind it. I've been winding with
the two to fourteen ratio. I'm probably gonna wine this
one with a three to think it's three to twenty
one because it's supposed to be a little bit more efficient.
But I'll do some testing and just see, uh what what?
(01:51:09):
What works? The dust be I'm gonna double stack the
the ft eighty two forty three. Somebody's gonna ask, probably
that's the that's the plan. Someone's gonna ask it, is
there a place where you can plug a counterpoison into it?
Speaker 2 (01:51:20):
What's that I said? Somebody's gonna ask it?
Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
Is there a place to plug a counterpoison?
Speaker 6 (01:51:25):
Counterpoison?
Speaker 5 (01:51:26):
Uh not?
Speaker 6 (01:51:28):
Yeah, not necessarily, but you do have on this on
this B and C connector here? Where are you where
you uh solder in the shield. It's a little tab
that sticks out the side there and if you have
a alligator clip or anything, I'll just clip onto there.
Oh okay, yeah, yeah, it's the guy.
Speaker 5 (01:51:46):
I apologize.
Speaker 6 (01:51:48):
Clip a clip an alligator clip on there.
Speaker 5 (01:51:50):
Whatever, And quick apologies to John w V three my
fat finger. I hit a a high not show. I apologize,
So John, if you want.
Speaker 1 (01:52:02):
To, it's okay. No, no, it's gone in the chat.
It's got accidentally got hidden, but it says I don't
make molt shakes because I don't want anybody in my
freaking yard.
Speaker 5 (01:52:18):
So and I and I actually that it got hell.
I actually went to go ahead, except and my fat
finger hit the audience. John, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
Well, anything else, guys, We've almost put two hours in
the into both w r L and and so if
you're if you're looking for his antenna, I will drop
a link if hopefully Joe BRIT's already got the link
in the chat for the antenna hero.
Speaker 6 (01:52:53):
Ap x dot com. And yeah, it's it's it's I
can't I can't remember the exact prices off the top
of my head. Let me look it up. I think
it's here we go, so shipping and plus shipping for
(01:53:14):
the kids, the the the forty meter. I haven't got
the price calculated out for the forty meter version yet,
but that one should be launching hopefully within the next
uh within the next few weeks. So I'm really excited
about that one too.
Speaker 3 (01:53:27):
Very cool.
Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
Well, anything else, So you got coming up that you
want to plug before we start putting a band aid
on it?
Speaker 6 (01:53:34):
Well, like I, like I said, we've got on the
on the World Radio League side, we've got we've got
the desktop app coming, so keep an eye out for that.
And we've got yeah, we've got we've got a lot
of great things. I can't I can't dive into it
all right now. But hey, hey, I tell you what
I can do. Can I send you a link in
(01:53:55):
the private chat here and have you post it? Since
I don't have permissions to post it here, let me
grab it right quick. This is this is a first.
This is you guys are You're gonna be the first
ones to to uh to announce this.
Speaker 5 (01:54:11):
So Joe break, get that drum roll, get that drug ready.
Speaker 6 (01:54:17):
Don't do that. It's a live sorry, Joe.
Speaker 5 (01:54:22):
Joe's like, shut up, let's just get out of the show, right.
I gotta, I gotta get my ass to date. And
Joe's like, come on, I gotta, I gotta guess up
and go.
Speaker 6 (01:54:31):
Right, Okay, So there's the link. We have just launched
the World Radio League discord. So we'll be building it out,
but go and and adding some more channels as we go.
But go ahead and jump in the discord. And and
so I just dropped it to you in the private check.
Go ahead, what just happened to the show?
Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
It's Spongebobs. I don't need it. He's hypnotized stuff you
don't need. That's what Ham's do when a new product
comes up in front.
Speaker 5 (01:55:07):
That's true's going to be.
Speaker 6 (01:55:12):
Oh, you do need it, though, you you you definitely
do need it.
Speaker 2 (01:55:16):
Well, Jim Brant will make sure and add that to
the list on our discord. Yet we have a tab
for other Ham Radio discords, and we'll make sure and
throw that link in there as well.
Speaker 6 (01:55:27):

took care of ninety nine percent radio. Yes, one percent milkshake.
That's for Joey.
Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:56:26):
Andy.
Speaker 1 (01:56:26):
Let me ask you that discord link you shared, was
it an unexpiring link.
Speaker 6 (01:56:33):
Yes, that's an unexpiring.
Speaker 1 (01:56:35):
Okay, good, I'll add it to our discord then that's important.
Speaker 5 (01:56:38):
That is important.
Speaker 6 (01:56:40):
I'll also share with you an uninspiring link to my
antenna discord too, if you want one. All right, that
would be all.
Speaker 3 (01:56:48):
The things people.
Speaker 6 (01:56:51):

that Saturday at the Salvation Army Building in Springfield, So
stop buy and see me there if you want.
Speaker 5 (01:57:10):
To do you go?
Speaker 2 (01:57:11):
Guys, how close are you to Joplin?
Speaker 6 (01:57:16):
I am about an hour and a half away. I'm
strongly considering. Uh, did you get that? Did you get
that discord link?
Speaker 2 (01:57:24):
It's yeah, I see, I see little in the chant.
I just had my hands, Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:57:29):
No problem.
Speaker 6 (01:57:30):
So yeah, I'm strongly considering they're they're inviting me down
to do a couple of presentations at Joplin. I'm not
sure yet if I'm going to make it. I think
I am, but but I haven't. I haven't made up
my mind yet.
Speaker 2 (01:57:40):
So well, August, if you're in Joplin, I'm going to
be at the Reute of sixty six Balloon and Kite
Festival with my hot air balloon.
Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
So oh n, come over, come over to Joplin.
Speaker 6 (01:57:53):
Sorry s a R dumping a terabyte on you, but anyway, yeah,
I saw that. But yeah, so so the first yeah,
the first discord link was for the World Radio League discord.
The second one I sent you is for the zero
APX Antenna's discord.
Speaker 5 (01:58:10):
Got it.
Speaker 6 (01:58:10):
You can drop that one in the chat if you
want to, and uh yeah, absolutely there it is all right,
all right, I think that's just not all I've got
for you tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:58:22):
I mean, sorry, boring, that's two hours content. We appreciate you, man,
We're gonna we're gonna pop you out of the chat
out of the window here for just a few minutes,
and if you want to hang out until we're done,
and any wrap up chat will be after I run
the trailer.
Speaker 3 (01:58:39):
Then then we get that afterwards.
Speaker 6 (01:58:42):
Absolutely, okay, sounds good. Though it was steak. It was steak.
Speaker 5 (01:58:47):
Don't forget I was right. I was.
Speaker 1 (01:58:51):
Thanks for do.
Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
Yeah, I mean he was a fifty fifty either way.
Speaker 5 (01:58:57):
Somebody give this guy another milkshake he needs.
Speaker 2 (01:59:01):
He's all hopped up on that.
Speaker 5 (01:59:04):
I'm thanks for.
Speaker 2 (01:59:06):
Joining to Sandy, will see you just a minute. Well, gentlemen,
what do y'all have coming up? What's new?
Speaker 5 (01:59:14):
What? What?
Speaker 6 (01:59:14):
What?
Speaker 5 (01:59:15):
Anything?
Speaker 2 (01:59:15):
We haven't covered yet? If y'all want to cover y'all
want to touch.
Speaker 5 (01:59:20):
On Joe Bright, you go first.
Speaker 1 (01:59:21):
Man. I'm still trying to set up my new World
radioly account, du thouncing back and forth. I don't have
nothing right now. We'll see what kind of video I
can conjure up from from have mentioned travels and adventures.
Speaker 5 (01:59:40):
I'm sure you will.
Speaker 2 (01:59:42):
Well, i'd like to I'd like to show I don't
know if if Jason's still in here, but I would
I would like the world to know that I have
a fully assembled It's I said, assembled, not deployed.
Speaker 5 (02:00:00):
Just it just has to it just has to go.
Speaker 1 (02:00:01):
Off elements as part of the assembly.
Speaker 3 (02:00:06):
What I've got those done too. I just got to
tune it.
Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
Mhmm.
Speaker 2 (02:00:10):
Look here, hold on the second picture's coming. Look look
at that they ain't there's all my radio wires. There's
all my I got. I'm I'm doing five bands.
Speaker 1 (02:00:22):
You're getting those little bracelet charms with the numbers.
Speaker 4 (02:00:28):
That's fancy.
Speaker 5 (02:00:30):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (02:00:32):
I got that. You weren't it, Jason. You weren't at
my house last night when I was bored.
Speaker 5 (02:00:37):
That's where was he in there?
Speaker 1 (02:00:39):
You go, that's how Shane does you, Jason.
Speaker 5 (02:00:43):
Jason would have brought some bourbon and cigars. All right.
It was I.
Speaker 2 (02:00:48):
Clean, So I cleaned the house and I was sitting
there and I was saying, you know what, I should
probably put that d X commander because after we're having
that eighty through ten invant halfway at that pot of
the other day, I was like, I got them hooked
because I've I've had my.
Speaker 3 (02:01:00):
Forty through ten.
Speaker 2 (02:01:01):
But now I'm like, all right, I gotta do it
because I told Randy is the next time we go
out because he just bought the what's the new the
new DX commander.
Speaker 3 (02:01:12):
Start with a V. It's amazing. Don't tell us in chat.
Speaker 2 (02:01:18):
The venture, the venture.
Speaker 3 (02:01:20):
It's the venture.
Speaker 5 (02:01:20):
Yeah. I like the fact that when you posted one
of your pictures and I forgot what for him it was.
No one was really saying congrats. They were more interested
on what was on that shelf and my legos. Yeah, yeah,
that was great. I thought that was great.
Speaker 3 (02:01:32):
They're legos.
Speaker 5 (02:01:36):
Yeah, I spy.
Speaker 2 (02:01:39):
I will say, Jason, if you will get to this stage,
we can have a tuning party and we'll take all
our DX commanders to a park and get them all
tuned up where they're all resident and having lots of fun.
But I've got a bag coming for all the wires
and the plates and the radios, and then I've got
these like bell crew straps so that I can strap
(02:02:01):
everything together so when I put it in the bag
and I think it's tangled. So we're trying to make
it as easily deployable as possible.
Speaker 5 (02:02:09):
Excellent.
Speaker 2 (02:02:10):
So that's what I'm proud of myself. I did a
thing another thing, Shane, thanks buddy, check off, David, David.
Speaker 6 (02:02:21):
It wasn't a party. I'm sorry David's giving me shit
and chat.
Speaker 2 (02:02:26):
Like I said, I just finished cleaning my house and
I was like, you know what, I should dirty it
up again.
Speaker 3 (02:02:29):
Let's build a the X Commander.
Speaker 2 (02:02:31):
Yeah, and hopefully you got your hat, David, because Randy
has it. And I look forward to that bottle of
whiskey at some point. I'm not drinking right now, but
I will. I will resume at some point, and says
if Shane was coming to Dayton, he could bring it here. Well,
I'm sorry, this thing called work gets in the way,
(02:02:53):
all right. Should we wait for the camera say goodbye?
Speaker 5 (02:02:57):

cigar smokers out there tonight, keep it, keep.
Speaker 2 (02:03:01):

tell about that.
Speaker 2 (02:03:17):

Speaker 3 (02:03:23):

Speaker 5 (02:03:25):
