welcome and Andrea of Dark Mirror Paranormal.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Thank you, Caitlin. Very happy to be here with you tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I'm very excited. I couldn't. I've been anticipating this all week,
so I wanted to dig in and I wanted to
ask if you could tell us start off by telling
us a little bit about Dark Mirror Paranormal and what
your offers are, what you do, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Sure, So I created Dark Mirror Paranormal in one as
a team of one, which would be me. I am
what you would consider a medium, and shortly after that
(02:52):
we created a small team of a medium led paranormal
virtual Assisting Research group.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Very cool. Now, I've heard of paranormal investigators working with mediums,
but you're actually a medium and you have paranormal a
paranormal team who are also mediums, so that I have
not heard. So what would you say makes that makes
(03:30):
you stand out or different? From what I think what
peer normal investigators do.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I'm glad you brought that up, and that is actually
a solid point because a lot of teams are scientific based.
They're looking for proof, they have equipment, and they're looking
for a medium as well. I have entertained these possibilities
in the past, and I never found that I fit
(04:01):
in with another group, and that's part of the reason
why I established my own working off of intuition and
being able to work in the energy realm and field
of the paranormal rather than chasing proof of the energy itself,
I think is what differs our team amission from your
(04:24):
typical paranormal team or something you might see on TV.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Interesting. Oh that sounds that sounds really cool, and you know,
it sounds like something that's really needed, you know. So
I think that's really fascinating and it's an excellent service
to be able to offer, to have that combination, you
know what I mean. And you know, I think it's
amazing too that you started all by yourself and now
(04:51):
you know you're growing and all that. So another thing
that I wanted to ask you about that I that
I heard was that you have I had a near
death experience. So I'd love to hear more about that,
because I have yet to really talk to anyone who's
had a near death experience. I mean, I've I've read
(05:11):
stories and read books, but I want to hear it
from someone firsthand about what that was like.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yeah, Unfortunately, I've had many and I think it's part
of the reason why I am and a lot of
people are energetically receptive to the spirit realm and having
the options and abilities to really retrieve messages and be
(05:43):
comfortable in, you know, the world of paranormal I actually
I was born in a medical crisis. I was born
without heartbeat, and I've also had a series of multiple
events in my life that have been very close for me,
(06:06):
most recently five years ago, and I don't really have
the story to tell about seeing the light or anything
like that. I think it's just the fact of being
so close to that position in your life really kind
of brings you into new perspectives. The other thing that
(06:26):
I've experienced a lot is being close to death. Been
to a lot of funerals.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Okay, yeah, a.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Lot of my family's passed, so there's been a lot
of a lot of types of things that have occurred
for me personally, that's got me interested in doing this
type of work in the first place. So I hope
that answers your question.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, it absolutely does. And I think you know, it's
to me if I'm understanding it or if I'm thinking correctly,
correct me if I'm wrong. But you are a medium
who works with the paranormal, not scientific based. It sounds
like it's more on intuition and some people would call
it faith or belief whatever, and that actually, I'm guessing
(07:26):
would enhance your interactions with the paranormal. You know, I
think you'd be able to I think my feeling and
like I said, I've never experienced this, but I just
was thinking about near death experiences and I think it
can be. It will be kind of traumatic trauma based
(07:50):
and a lot of I know that for me, I
have a history of trauma, and I think that actually
helps me in more to you know, the spirit world
and the paranormal. Does that make sense or would.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
You because actually, yes, it's very valid. Your body is
kind of in a survival moment, so you're hyper aware
of your surroundings and that does create the reality for
a lot of people to understand, and you know, be
receptive to energies. What a lot of people don't understand
is that we all have the ability to be receptive
(08:29):
to these energies. We all are psychic, you know, we
all have the ability to be a medium. The title
that myself and other people like yourself, that you know,
put out there on the table to share with other
people is simply, you know, us being comfortable in that reality.
(08:51):
And I think that in the last few years, a
lot of other people have now stepped into the realization
of what paranormal is and the realization that things you know,
that happen they recognize, you know, their family, their ancestors,
(09:12):
the loved ones that pass on. They recognize these signs
and cues and and things like that that might have
been taboo or something you didn't talk about, you know,
maybe ten years ago, because it's just been such a
relevant thing in our world. And I like to help
people understand that that's a normal thing. And I like
(09:36):
to also help people understand what's going on in their
in their space. Sometimes they think that house is haunted,
when really it's you know, a family member just trying
to kind of give you a sign or a signal
or a message, and I feel like that is another
thing that sets us apart from maybe a typical paranormal team,
(09:58):
whether they'll say, let's get in there, We're going to
bring a bunch of equipment. I'm going to sit there
and wait for something to move the dial. I don't
need to do that. I know the energy exists where
we're We're already, So I think that's part of part
of the thing that kind of sets us apart. And
(10:18):
it's really been a fulfilling experience for me just being
able to help people, you know, make those connections or
even decipher if it's actually a paranormal experience or if
they need to call an electrician, because that happens too.
You know. Kind of deciphering the normal from the paranormal
(10:39):
is one of the first things. And fortunately this a
lot of this can be done on the phone or
on a video chat like you know, and then sometimes
people need help and you know, and that's when we
just take it to the next step and if we
can't help them, they're not here. In New England, I
have a very large directory of well qualified investigators, mediums, intuitives,
(11:04):
healers just like yourself that can go help them and
I've been doing that for the last few years. I
talked to people all around the nation, all around the world,
and I don't know everybody everywhere, but I've been able to,
you know, send out those referrals and do what we can.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, So you know, it sounds like, really what you're
offering people is kind of a piece and healing almost
it sounds like. And what I think is really cool
about what you do is, like you said, you can
reach just about just about everywhere you can think of
(11:43):
to get people help. So so what are you know
when you when you have these people who reach out
to you, what are some of the typical common requests
you get?
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Really, there's a lot of different types of themes that
can occur. Uh. A common one is a lot of
people think that they're they're demons in their house, or
that there's hauntings and and whatnot. And I like to
be able to kind of break down what's actually going
on and helped kind of figure out who what we're
(12:20):
when you know, a lot of the times it's people
that we know. Sometimes there's a lot of crazy energy
going around and you feel it, you know something's going on,
something's there, and it might just be you know, your grandpa.
Let you know, you big at the wrong choice today,
you know you're you're dating the wrong do it or something?
(12:42):
You know. It could be it could be some you know,
and and and it also it could be something that's
that's you know, it could get interesting. People live in
houses that are very old. I know that could have been.
I lived in an apartment that was a it's like
a hot for wounded soldiers. I'm sorry, I don't remember
(13:04):
the name of it. There's an actual name for this,
I should know it. I don't feel very smort right now,
but it was quite interesting to say the least, you know,
And and things like that are or what the general
public want to know. They want to hear about, right,
They want to see all of the all of the
(13:26):
history and the past and the and the Asian and
I just I know we are sitting upon in New
England one of the biggest rocks of history that you
can find in this country. And I think when we
do set out and start doing research, it's going to
(13:46):
be just that, you know, to provide you know, information
and research to you know, the masses and they're in
New England.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, that's really cool. Yeah, you know, there's yeah, And
I think there's a real sense of history around that too,
and people are just naturally curious. And just going back
to what I was thinking earlier, is that I think
in this day age, with how crazy the world is becoming,
especially since the pandemic, I think people are looking more
(14:15):
toward the spiritual world. You know, They're looking for a
sense of peace, They're looking to reach out and reassurance. So,
like I said, I think what you offer, your service
is very much needed in this day and age. So
so can you give us some instances or examples of
someone who asked for help and how that all turned out,
(14:40):
what happened, and what you did for them.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
I can't get into any specifics I've understood you've been
even not not naming names. It's still confidentiality for the Giant.
But I did have I did have some very successful
relations where I did help solve a mystery. I'm gonna
(15:04):
say just it was. It was right, very in depth
and really uh tragic situation, and I was able to
give information to help law enforcement, which really kind of
helped me validate myself too. When I just started doing
(15:26):
this in the beginning and that was gratifying. That was
very gratifying for me. Not easy, but yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
So ah, so you've actually okay, so it sounds like
you you've worked with law enforcement. Was just another topic
which interests me absolutely, you know. I I I've always
thought myself about helping you know, the police or detectives
with unsolved mysteries and you know that that. Yeah, I
(15:59):
think I think by nature, people like us are are
in in a in a helping kind of move, you
know what I mean. We we want to help people
to heal themselves and help themselves to kind of heal
the world, you know, past that positive energy on. So
I think it's we offer, you know, a really valuable
(16:22):
service and I think people are becoming more and more
open to it. So yeah, it sounds like you know,
you've got you know a lot of positive interactions under
your belt, which is fantastic. So what would be be
(16:44):
your goal for dark air paranormal Like where do you
see where do you see yourself taking taking it down
the road like a few years, what are you what
are you hoping to do?
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Yeah? I think getting some research content just about New
England is really kind of a fun kind of lighthearted
idea that we've been talking about. I fortunately just did
have a brief conversation with a new friend of mine
(17:19):
who does a videography and photography and she's she's in
and I think that's just like the next step for
us because I know, you know, a lot of people
like to you know, see that, and New England is
just you know, the place for it. So creating some
content about the history of New England to share you know,
(17:40):
what the world is is is really something that I'm
very excited about setting forth to do between myself, Mel
who is our light worker, and Wolf who is a
shadow worker like myself, but we do also work with
light We're we are all talking about making a schedule
(18:03):
and getting those things together, but we do still you know,
take things case by case online and and you know,
it's there's a lot there's a lot of people, as
you mentioned, after the pandemic, a lot of people have
passed on, and a lot of people have lost family
members and friends, and there are a lot of people
(18:23):
seeking right now, a lot of people seeking out and
you know, it's it's really gratifying to be able to
give that insight to somebody. The reassurance, the validation. Even
a lot of people are very skeptical of energy work
and you know, the paranormal or ghosts or you know.
(18:46):
It seems like anywhere you go, if you bring this
up or if you make comment, there's always somebody that
wants to kind of challenge it. And I invite that,
you know, because I did at one point too.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Yeah, yeah, I understand. I think we've all been there,
you know, where you're just like, Okay, this is this
real or not? You know, I want I want proof,
I want this and that, and there are just sometimes
when you just need to have some some faith and
you know, trust I call it. You know, people call
(19:26):
it God, you know the power. All that is that
I call it. You know the universe and you know
it you tune in and that's what I call it.
So I don't know why I'm thinking this, but I
just feel like in your future, I hear like a
(19:46):
book or a blog or you know what I mean something,
or you collaborate and you just talk about what you're
passionate about.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
I don't know if Yeah likes to type fast, like
four thousand words for a minute, because I'm from Boston
and I'm very relaxed and talking very slow for this podcast.
But we can write books all day long, every day. Absolutely,
it won't be me typing them out, that's for sure.
I have my strengths and you know, my weaknesses, and
(20:18):
looking at screens and typing and those part of the
time for me. But I would love to thank you
for saying that. I hear that a lot. I've received
that compliment.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yeah, yeah, hey, I have something there. Yeah. And I've
had authors and you know, on this on this podcast,
and uh, you know, people really like to fit hear
from authors, and a lot of authors will say they
all say to me, you know that they feel that
they were that they received spiritual direction to write about
(20:51):
their experiences and once they once they started getting it out,
it just flowed like it was coming from you know,
their spirit guides or from loved ones and it's just
boom boom, boom it goes. And then you know, you're right,
you know, you do have to get into the technical
stuff about typing it all out and editing and all that, but.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
It would be an adventure for sure.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, I am right exactly. But you know I and
I I started journaling when I was when I do
my my readings and stuff. Anyway, I've found that I
tune in by meditating and asking my spirit guides for messages,
(21:38):
and then I I will even because I thought about,
you know, should do I see myself writting a book
down the road somewhere about my experiences?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Yeah, I think that's gonna happen. It just has to
be like like you said, you have to.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
Be have that that reason to get that at that start.
But I find myself now, I just like free free
form right when I do a session and just think,
I think things come a lot better, they come through
a lot.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
More, you know.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
So yeah, yeah, So what about you know, were you
looking because you I know you said you start out
as one and it sounds like you have a few
people who are with you. But are you looking to
grow and expand?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Yeah? Always, you know. One of the biggest things for
me is to collaborate with other paranormal investigative teams all
around the world, because I talk to people all around
the world and I like to have a good directory
in a list of qualified you know, human beings that
are aligned with what we're aligned with. They don't have
(22:58):
to be a medium led team, so they could be
scientific based as long as you know good people, respectful,
because I'm referring these people out to somebody who needs
potentially a home visit.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Uh oh, I think she froze. Are you there all right?
I'll be just a minute. Looks like there are some
technical difficulties, which is okay, this is what we do
in our podcast world. As I've known Andrea for a
while now, and when she talked to me about Dark
(23:38):
Mirror Paranormal, what I had in my head was very
different from what she explained to me. So this is
why I really felt it feeled that she would have
been an asset to the podcast to be able to
share her passion and what her experiences are. So, you know,
(24:01):
and I think that she is. I talked to her
about writing a book because I think her her whole
life is a book. Her whole life is a is
a story that wants to be shared. So so hopefully
she'll be back. We'll give her just a couple of minutes.
But you know, I wanted to ask everyone out there
(24:22):
who who listens in, like, what do you think about
you know, what mediums do, what psychics do, what taro
folks do, astrologers do versus what the paranormal investigators do,
and do you see I see the link how that's
extremely beneficial to how I think it's extremely beneficial to
(24:49):
see how mediums become a real asset for paranormal doing
paranormal work. And I just wanted to see if if
you felt the same way or if you're interested. He oh, Andrea, welcome.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Back, am I Dad, you are back and beagless.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I was just I was just talking you up while
you were gone. He see you were talking about growing
your team.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
See the ghosts were listening. They know that would be
dangerous for them. Okay, I'm so sorry. I'd like watch
track from that. So to answer your question, yes, I
I would love to grow the team. But more importantly,
(25:40):
I think having vetted collaborations with paranormal teams around the
nation and around the world really is really important as well,
because I talk to people all around the world, and
if I'm talking to somebody in Ohio and they end
up eating a healing or a home visit, it's nice
(26:03):
to have those connections. I do have a light worker
by the way in Ohio if anybody needs one, So
just you know, having those outreach and those that networking
connection is really important for you know, the clients ale
that that I have already met. And I do think
(26:25):
that between the now four of us, we do have
some exciting plans for this year. And I do invite
the I do invite an experienced equipment holder, not not
a camera holder. Equipment I would like to I would
(26:48):
like to experience that. I never needed it myself, but
I thought it would be cool to, you know, see
what that looks like. So I am leaving that up.
I did post an advertisement for an equipment holder, and yeah,
hopefully just building a community of like minded individuals. I
(27:12):
would love to connect with more paranormal teams as I
have in the past, because I really do appreciate that insight.
And yeah, yeah, I agree.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
I like our I like our community of people that
we connect with, and you know, it's just it's amazing
how similar experiences are when you talk about going across
the globe, and I think the fact that you are
all over the world just speaks to how gifted you
(27:46):
truly are, and that there's a theme that everyone can
relate to. You know, everyone can relate to that human condition,
you know, love, stress, angst, you know, companionship, friendship and
looking to connect with those who've passed on and their
(28:06):
spare guides, so you know, it's always good and yeah,
the same with me. I'm always looking to, you know,
meet with others in my community. I love talking to
other psychics and I love hearing how they do things,
how did they get their start. And now I'm I'm
really fascinated by the paranormal world and how that all works,
(28:29):
you know, because I just I didn't see the connection,
to be honest, just being honest that I didn't see
the connection between the paranormal and mediumship. I just thought, oh,
are they chasing ghosts?
Speaker 3 (28:43):
You know, like you know that, And.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
That's just because there's just not a lot known about it.
I mean, there's some shows.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
That's what I was gonna say.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yeah, yeah, you're no, You're absolutely right, you know, it's
it's all you know, they since they we can get sensationalized,
and you know, just like there's you know, famous psychics,
and you know, then you have the little psychics, but
we're all we all have the same goal, you know,
to reunite and help and help people heal.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
You know.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
That's that's the way I feel. All right, great, So
it sounds like you've got a bright future ahead of
you starting from twenty twenty one as a team of one.
We love the fact that you are people are supporting.
I always highly recommend people support their local women owned businesses.
(29:41):
So the fact that you, you know, you're a mom,
and you know you you're a psychic, and you and
you run a business and do all this other you know,
empowering all these empowering activities, and I think that you
know that, I got to give you all props and
credit for doing that. So and then yeah, and it really,
(30:04):
you know, I really have I feel, you know, educated
me about how that all works.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
So I wanted to ask how people how do people
find you?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Yea, So we do have a website that is dark
Mara dark Mara Paranormal dot com and there's a contact
form on there. So if any of your listeners are
wanting to reach out and discuss potential investigation, looking out
(30:39):
for help, or have any questions, that contact form is
the most secure way to do it. But you can
also reach out to us on social media at your
own risk. We would love for you to follow us
if anything. You're on Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X,
(31:00):
although I'm not going to do much on X unless
if everybody shows up there. I kind of follow the following.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, that's good to know.
I actually have someone I might refer to you who
reached out to me. Yeah, so someone who I think
is is would would benefit from, you know, someone who
offers your services. So I'll let you know, and.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
I'm gonna let them know.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Yea, I'm gonna let them know. Hey, you know, I
had Andrea from Dark Mirror, Pureanormal on and this is
what she she does with her team, and you know,
you can easily uh go on her go on her
website or message her on social media and set up
a consultation. They can do a consultation, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Essentially, that's if somebody reaches out and wants to share
a story or ask some questions, provided virtual you know,
call our video called consultation and then depending on the circumstances,
kind of go from there. Again. Sometimes it's like call
your electrician. Other times it's you know, going into a
(32:13):
medium ship reading and we're connecting with past loved ones.
Sometimes it's more than that, and then we either are
getting involved physically or scouting out our network of reputable
teams who can help them in their area. Excellent.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
So you know you're welcome back anytime. I'd love to
have you as a repeat. I think you know I
can see you expanding and growing, and you know I can.
I want to touch base again as you grow bigger
and bigger and see your progress and see how you're doing.
So you know, come back anytime. You know how to
(32:57):
reach me, and I will thank you very much. To
wrap it up, I just want to thank you for
appearing on the Healing Light podcast and hopefully you'll get
a lot of a lot of requests for help and
that way you can grow and expand and really work
(33:18):
with your with your gifts. So thank you very much, Andrea.
I appreciate you coming on the show.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Thank you. I appreciate you having me. This is actually
my first ever podcast, so I really enjoyed it. You
may be very comfortable, and yeah, if anybody is interested
in asking for help, you know where to go. You know,
just it's a safe space. It's I guess that's most
important thing to know.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
There's no judgment, all right, great, thank you so much.
Thank you everyone for tuning in, so again, you know
if you want to reach Andrea, don't hesitate to reach
out to her. If you're looking for feedback for the
sho Show, reach out to me. You know where to
find me as well. Guest suggestions, show show suggestions, anything
(34:07):
you want to see. Thank you very much for tuning
in and I will wish you a wonderful evening. Thank
you everybody. Bye,
