Speaker 1 (07:09):
Oh yes, oh yes, Christ has set me free. And
I pray that's your testimony today. And we're talking today
about negative thinking. And I'm really praying that God will
set us free from negative thinking. So negative thinking, what
is it? Well, negative thinking isn't always loud, and sometimes

(07:32):
it's that quiet whisper that tells you that you're not enough,
or that you never will change, or it may say
that you know whisper, why should you even try to change?
These thoughts often come from past hurts, trauma, or repeated patterns.
And this may happen because our brain is trying to

(07:55):
protect us by listening to what feels familiar, even if
it's painful. But here's the truth. Just because a thought
is familiar doesn't mean it's true. Okay, I'm gonna repeat that.
Just because a thought is familiar doesn't mean it's true. Now,

(08:16):
I want to give you something to think about. So
how do we know if we're caught in negative thinking?
And here are some things you might notice. The first
thing you may know you may start criticizing yourself constantly,
may find yourself just criticizing yourself. You may always find

(08:38):
yourself expecting the worst. You hardly have anything positive to say.
Think about that, just hardly have anything positive to say.
And if you're comparing yourself to others, it's probably because
it's like it's probably because you're thinking thinking negatively about yourself,

(09:02):
or you may feel like you're stuck in shame, guilt,
or fear. Now, these patterns don't just affect your mood,
they shape your reality. But identifying them is the first
step toward healing. And that's what we're all about here
on the Healing Touch podcast. Yes, we're all about healing

(09:24):
the mind, the body, and the soul. So act yourself.
Does this thought bring me peace or does it drain me? So?
Awareness is the beginning of freedom, right, and that's what
the goal is. We want to be free from negative thinking.
So awareness is the beginning of freedom. Now let's talk

(09:46):
about the good part. Okay, let's talk about what it
means to break free. And here's some tools that can
help you to shift your mindset. First, practice gentle awareness.
When a negative thought shows up, don't fight it, don't
feed it. Just say I see you, but I don't

(10:07):
have to believe you. Pause, Breathe and release. Pause, breathe
and release. Speak life out loud. Yes, Start affirming truth
even if your mind resists. Say things like I'm worthy
of peace, I'm healing even when it's hard. So pause

(10:29):
and think when negativity rises instead of reacting. Pause, journal, meditate,
go for a walk, or just pray. Yes, so it's
things that we can do. Okay. So we're on this
journey to freedom from negative thinking. And I really hope

(10:52):
that this is helping someone out there. Okay, So let's
I'm gonna get ready and close out, and I pray
that you have learned something or challenge you to think
about are you having negative thinking? Because breaking free from

(11:14):
negative thinking isn't about never having negative thoughts. It's about
learning to rise about above them. You know, to not
to let them define your day, your word, or your future.
Every time you choose truth over fear and love over shame,
you rewrite your story. So thank you for spending this

(11:36):
time with me. If this episode spoke to your heart
shared with someone who needs a reminder that freedom is possible,
