Speaker 6 (06:41):
Auntie? Who am I City Night? What the Lord handy?
He can do anything?

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Oh yes, oh yes, Because you know, talking about this
topic with opinions, it's tough. It is so tough to
understand that everyone has their right to their own opinion.
Now let's talk about the reality of differences. We live

(07:16):
in a world of many voices, different backgrounds, different beliefs,
different experiences, and naturally different opinions. And sometimes when someone
doesn't see life the way we do, it can feel
like rejection and you know, like they're not hearing us,
like our truth is being questioned. But the Bible tells us,

(07:40):
and it reminds us in Romas twelve and eighteen that
if it is possible, as far as it depends on
you live at peace with everyone. You know that peace
starts with understanding. Oh yes, just understand that not everyone
will see things the way we do, and that's okay.

(08:00):
We have to get to the point where it's okay
for other people to have their opinions. Now, let's talk
about the power of listening without judgment. We don't have
to agree with everyone, but we are called to listen
with love. We are called to be slow to speak,

(08:20):
slow to anger, and quick to listen. Jess As James
One in nineteen encourages us listening doesn't mean compromising your values.
It just simply means honoring another person's humanity, their God
given voice. Everyone has a God given voice. You don't
lose your strength by listening. You grow in grace.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
You know.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
That's something that I have to work on daily, just
you know, listening, and God will help us to do that.
He is more than able to help us to be
good listeners. If you like me out there? Okay. So
what this means in healing? You know, because this is

(09:04):
the Healing Touch podcast. So what does this have to
do with healing? Well, when we've been through trauma or betrayal,
we can become guarded sensitive. We want validation and rightly
so and so our stories do matter. But healing also
invites us into maturity, and it says I can stand

(09:26):
firm in my truth while giving other space for theirs.
Everyone has their own lens, everyone sees things differently, their
own wounds, their own stories. Understanding this helps us to
release unnecessary arguments, which will really help in relationships, comparison

(09:48):
and even offense. Now Jesus shows us how to do this.
Even Jesus, in all his wisdom, was misunderstood. He was questioning, doubted,
even betrayed. But he never lashed out in pride or
demanded that everyone agreed with him. Instead, he spoke the

(10:08):
truth in love and left the results to our heaven Father.
Now can we do the same? Of course, we could
do it with God's help. Can we walk into the
world confident in who we are and at peace with
the fact that others may not see it, yet still
love them anyway? I believe we can if we just

(10:31):
ask God for his strength and his power. I believe
that we are able to do it. Let's close with
a prayer, Dear Heaven the Father, thank you for your
strength to honor our own truth and grace to let
others walk in theirs. Father asked that you teach us
to listen without judgment, to speak without pride, and to

(10:53):
love without condition. Help us to be quick to understand,
slowly to react, and always ground in your peace. In
Jesus's name, I pray Amen listen. Thank you for spending
this moment with me. Remember you don't have to convince
the world. You just have to walk in truth, rooted

(11:14):
in love. Until next time, stay encouraged, and never forget.
All you need is a healing touch. Thank you for
