partnership designed by God to reflect his love, his unity,
forgiveness and purpose. But if we're honest, it's not always easy.
Oh God, No, it is not always easy. In a
world that redefines love by feelings of convenience. God calls

(02:27):
us back to his eternal design. So let's take a
deep breath and turn our hearts to him as we

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Oh yeah. So, while I pray that that song minister
to you and your marriage today, I love that song
is by BB Why is I love it? Well? Listen,
let's talk about the covenant and not the contract. Okay. Now,
in today's world, marriage is often treated like a contract
and something you know you stay in as long as

(06:54):
it benefits you. But in God's Kingdom, marriage is a covenant,
a sacred vow, not just between two people, but before God.
Genesis the second chapter, in twenty fourth verse, it tells us,
therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and

(07:15):
be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
This one flesh union means a deep, spiritual and emotional bond,
a lifelong commitment, a calling to love. Like Christ, marriage,
God's way is not just about happiness, but it's about holiness.

(07:40):
You know, the foundation of a godly marriage is sacrificial love,
and that love should reflect Christ. This means that loving
not just when is easy, but when it's costly. Ephesians
five and twenty five says husbands love your wives just
as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

(08:03):
and wives are called to respect her husband. That's what
Ephesians five and thirty three says. Now, this isn't about
control and power, because you know a lot of people
get this mixed up. So you know, let's make this clear.
It is not about control and power, but it's about
mutual love, respect and grace that flows from the spirit,

(08:25):
not the flesh. Ask the Lord daily, Ask them, Lord,
how can I serve my spouse like you serve me?
How can I forgive? Listen and uplift even when it's hard? God?
What does love require of me? Today? You can start
by asking those questions to the Lord. Listen, invite God

(08:48):
into the center of your marriage. Because God's way is
not just better, It's the only way marriage thrives. Okay, Now,
a marriage built on prayer, scripture, humility, and the Holy
Spirit will endure storms others fall under. So what we

(09:09):
need to do is pray together and for one another,
seek godly counsel, stay in the world even when our
emotions are all over the place. Yes, because the Word
will keep us grounded. Marriage doesn't just survive on feelings alone.
It survives on faith, grace, and intentional growth. Like growing

(09:35):
has to be your priority. You want your marriage to grow.
Ecclesiastics four and twelve says a quarter three strand is
not quickly broken, so let Christ be that third strand. Okay, now,
let's talk about healing, growth and hope, because some marriages

(10:01):
are not looking really good right now, and some, you
know you may be struggling. Maybe maybe your marriage has struggled,
maybe it feels dry and divided right now. But listen,
take heart because God is a restorer no matter the pain.
When two hearts surrendered to him, healing can happen. Bitterness

(10:24):
can become forgiveness, Distance can turn into unity, Coldness can
melt into compassion. But you just have to take one
step at a time so you can begin praying again.
Choose grace over blame. You know, stop the blame game.

(10:45):
Choose grace, give each other grace, seek God the marriage
counseling if needed. If you too just need counseling, it's okay,
seek godly counseling and let love lead again. We reminded
in one Corinthians thirteen and seven, it says love bears

(11:06):
all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
This is the love God pours into you, and it's
the love he can pour through you. So he pours
it into you, and then he can pour it through
you so that not only you benefit, but your partner

(11:28):
would benefit also. Listen. Let me pray with you, Father God,
for everyone that's listening under the sound of my voice,
thank you for the gift of marriage. Teach us how
to love like you love selflessly, faithfully and with grace.

(11:51):
And for every couple that's listening, I pray for restoration,
a deeper intimacy, and renewed purpose. Ask that you be
the center of our homes and the glue of our union.
Heal what has broken, God, strengthen what is weary, and
bless what is surrendered to you. God. I ask these

(12:13):
blessings in Jesus' name. Amen, listen, I pray that this podcast,
this podcast has been a blessing to you, and I
pray that this episode spoke directly to you and your marriage.
And I want to just thank you for joining me
here on the Heal and Touch podcast. Listen. If this
message encourage you, share it with someone who may need

(12:36):
a reminder that marriage God's way is still possible, is
still powerful, and it is still beautiful. Listen until next time,
Walk and grace and let love lead. Yes, not just
any kind of love, but let God's love lead you
