Speaker 1 (06:58):
Oh yes, yes, fill me up God, Yes, I love
that song. Well, you know, welcome back. And we're talking
about the importance of setting goals and staying focused. And
the scripture that we're coming from is going to be
the back of the second chapter and the second verse,
and it is it says, write the vision and make

(07:21):
it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it? Okay,
So the first thing we want to discuss is why
do we set goals. Why do we set goals at all? Well,
when life has knocked you down and it's easy to
live day by day just trying to survive, you know,
I get it, but setting goals gives your pain purpose

(07:43):
and your healing direction. Goals are how we tell ourselves
I believe in something more for my life. That's why
it's so important to set goals. God is the one
that gives us vision, but he also expects us to
partner with him through action and what goals are They

(08:05):
are the bridge between where you are and where God
is calling you to be. That's why it's so important
again to set goals. And something that you can ask
yourself when you when you are setting goals is what
is one goal that aligns with your healing and your purpose?

(08:27):
So that's one where one way we can start right there.
And now, the enemy is the focus. The enemy of
your focus is distraction. The enemy is not your focus,
but he comes with distracted distractions and then that is

(08:50):
what deter your focus. So let me be clear, once
you set a goal, distractions will come. It's not if
they will come, but it is when they will come.
Whether it's fear or comparison or just the business of life.

(09:11):
The enemy will love nothing more than to pull your
eyes off of your prize, your goal. What are you
trying to accomplish? But listen, you don't have to be
perfect to be focused. You just have to be consistent.
And consistent is something I really struggled with, you know,
But you have to be consistent. Listen. Even Jesus on

(09:34):
the way to the Cross, he stayed focused on his purpose.
He didn't let the noise and the doubt and attacks
stop him. He endured all the way to the end,
and because he did through him, we can too, right Okay,
so I want to encourage you do You don't have
to do it all today. Just don't quit. Now, how

(09:58):
can we stay focused? Let me give you some tips
on how you can stay focused. Now here are three
simple tips you know to help you to stay locked
in to that goal that you're trying to accomplish. Okay,
write it down. That's the first thing. Write it down.
I'm all about writing it down, just like the Bible says,
make it plain. Journaling. Journal your goals, make them real.

(10:26):
When you're journaling your goals is what makes them real. Okay,
now here's a good point right here. I have journals
for you on my website. You could go to www
dot the healingtouchpodcast dot com. Visit the gift shop. I
have some beautiful journals. Listen, make your order, get your

(10:47):
order today. I would get it shipped out to you
as soon as possible. It is important to journal, write
it down, make it plain. Okay, Pray daily daily over
your goals. Invite God into the process, ask him to strengthen,
to strengthen you, to help you to be disciplined, okay,

(11:09):
and then eliminate one distraction because you're gonna have what
you're gonna have with So try to eliminate a distraction,
you know, just one. Maybe it's social media time, or
you know, you get involved with toxic conversations with somebody.
When you eliminate a distraction, it creates space for your purpose,

(11:29):
So you want to make sure that you do that. Also,
after you've done all of the work, celebrate the small wins.
Every small step matters. Healing and growth doesn't happen overnight.
I say that often, but every day you stay focused,
you are getting closer and closer. So celebrate the day

(11:50):
that you didn't give up, because it will be days
when you feel like, just this is not working. I'm
not gonna do this no more. But celebrate the day
you prayed instead of panicked. Okay, that's progress. And then
give yourself a pat on the back or you know,
or hug yourself, you know, because it's work. It's tough work.
But listen through with Christ, we can do all things. Okay, listen,

(12:15):
So I want you to say this affirmation with me. Okay,
I am focused. Say it with me. I am focused.
I am guided. I am equipped and with Christ, I
will finish strong. I believe that and you have to
believe that too. Okay, now listen, I want to thank

(12:37):
you for tuning in to the Healing Touch Podcast. I'm
telling you I enjoy it every time I get on
to share and encourage you to just help you to
be a better you. Listen. If today's episode bless you,
share with someone who needs a reminder that they're not
too far gone to dream again. Okay, until next time,
stay focused, stay faithful, and remember you can do all

(13:01):
things through Christ who strengthens you. Oh yes, you can
thank you for a spending time with me here on
the hell of Touch Podcast. If this episode gave you
