you too, no one else. Do the thing you do,

(01:11):
shake the road in my life and make it right.
All I need, Dorgie, it's a touch for you too,
from a Master King. All I need.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
It's a touch for you.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Oh yes, Oh yes, that is all we need is
a touch from him. Yes Lord. Well, hello everyone, welcome,
Welcome to the Healing Touch Podcast, where we focus on
the healing of the mind, body, and soul. It's a
place where we grow through what we go through. Tricia,

(02:00):
and thank you for joining me. Well today I want
to talk about something that affects every area of our lives,
and it's how to make better life decisions. If you've
ever took the time to look back over your life
and wondered why did I choose that? Or why did
I do that? Then you are not alone, especially if

(02:23):
you're recovering from trauma. Decision making can feel heavy and
even confusing at times, but here's the truth. It is
possible to learn how to make choices that align with peace,
purpose and healing. I'm going to give you five tips
on how to make those choices when I come back

(02:44):
after this song.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I love you Lord, for your mercy never fails me.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Ah, my DearS, I've.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Been helding your head.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
From the moment that I wait.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Until I leave my head.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Oh, I will see of the goodness of God, because
all my life you have been faithful.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
All my life, you have been sold so God.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
With every breath, and I am madeble.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Oh, why you will see of the goodness of God.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I love your goals. You have led me through the fire.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
In the darkest time. You are close line over. I'm
known you as a fire, I've known.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
You as a man, and I have lived in the
goodness of God day. It's all my life you have
been fay.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Oh, yes, you.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Nor my life. You have been so so very bad man.
I am made for. I will see on the conn.

(05:12):
Your goodness is money enough, it's running enough to me.
Your goneness is bronning after, it's brody enough to me.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
With my line laying.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Now my surrender. Now I care you have everyday, go lod.
Your goodness is bronning enough after it's probady enough to me,
yours your godness crying, it's riding out with my line

(05:58):
lade now I give you everything. You're the necess running
it's running out.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
No, my life, you have been faithful. Mm hmmm, no,
my life, you have been sold.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So with the rebreath that I am madeble, I'm gonna say, oh,
a goodness, so good. I'm gonna say my life a

(07:16):
lord so.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Oh yes, We're gonna sing of the goodness of God. Listen.
The first tip on how to make make decisions that
align with peace, purpose and healing is pause before you choose. See,
we live in a fast paced world, pressure everywhere, emotions
flying all over the place, and fear. These things often

(08:03):
push us to react quickly instead of pausing to respond properly.
But healing teaches us the power of the pause. So
the next time your face with the decision ast yourself.
Am I chosen from fear or from faith? Is this
decision rooted in peace or in panic? So here's a

(08:25):
scripture that can help you, Psalms forty six and ten.
It says, be still and know I am God. Stillness
create space in your mind for clarity. Now, the second
tip is reconnect with your values. Many of us have
spent years trying to please people or we've just been surviving.

(08:46):
But now it's time to rebuild your decision making skills
around your values, not survival, not shame, and not someone
else's approval. So act yourself. Is this decision I'm making
does it honor my healing? Does this match the woman
or the man that I'm becoming? And then write it

(09:08):
down to help You can write down five values that
you have like peace, honesty, growth, rest or, purpose and
let them become your inner guide. That's why it's good
to keep a journal. Oh and by the way, I
have journals for sale on my website, so you can

(09:30):
stop by and check out the gift shop at www
dot Thehalingtouch podcast dot com. Then the third tip is listen.
Listen to your spirit, your inner self, not just your emotions.
Because your emotions are real, but they are not always true.
Your spirit, however, knows the still small voice of wisdom

(09:55):
inside of you. That's the one you should follow to
help try doing. Sit quietly, take a few deep breaths,
and ask God through prayer what is wise? You know
the Bible tells us to ask for wisdom and ask
God what's wise, and you will find that the answer

(10:15):
is already insigned you, waiting for your stillness to uncover. Now,
the fourth tip is seek wise counsel, not chaos. We
all have those people who hype us up, but hype
is not wisdom. Healing means learning to ask for help
in safe places. Find a therapist, a mentor, or a

(10:38):
pastor who you can trust. Also, friends can be really
good of resource, really good resources, and someone who has
walked through the fire and came out wiser. Now here's
a scripture for reference. Proverbs fifteen twenty two says plan
fails for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they

(10:59):
say seed. And the last one is don't be afraid
if you don't get it right the first time you try.
Perfectionism and fear of failure are traumle echoes. But here's
the truth. Even if you make a detour, God can
and he will reroute you. Romans eight and twenty eight

(11:21):
reminds us all things work together for good to those
who love God. So relax, you know, relax, You're not failing,
You're just learning. So in my closing, making better decisions
isn't about being perfect. It's about being intentionally, prayerful and

(11:41):
patient with yourself. So today, ask God to order your steps,
trust the wisdom growing inside you, and remember you are
not who you used to be. You are becoming someone wiser,
someone strong, and someone more hold. So I'm just so
thankful that you took the time with me today. I

(12:03):
pray that it's something that I said today to help
you to make better decisions in your life. Thank you
