Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers showed they can win games a different way on Saturday, leaning on a fierce defense and ruthless run game to dispatch Washington by multiple scores. GameDay was a movie, the atmosphere was unbelievable, and the team kept rolling.
Now, a road game in East Lansing awaits. What can you expect out of the Hoosiers? How likely is Kurtis Rourke to play? Also, stop ranking Ohio State above IU.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Repeat after me, who's your nation? Ay and oh, ay
and oh and he added in it again.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Folks played a full game, sixty minutes, didn't trail, won
by multiple scores, didn't break a sweat except maybe for
a couple of moments in the first half. There's teams
of Juggernaut. The teams a freight train. Get out of
the way. Michigan State's up next.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Spartans aren't gonna pause the pose a problem, right, Spartans
aren't gonna cause any issues right that Today on the road,
kind of a bigger road environment.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
No, no, don't care.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Let's let's we'll talk about We'll talk about it.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
We'll discuss Michigan State a little bit later on in
this episode, of course, recap Washington the easy when over
the Huskies. Another good football team that Indiana knocked off.
Another good football team that came into Bloomington off of
bye week, mixed up some things. Indiana didn't have any
issues with that. Recap all that talk, a little college

(01:14):
football playoffs, some scenario, some standings, blah blah blah. Indiana
men's basketball knocked off Tennessee. We got a lot to
dive into here. On episode three thirty seven of The
Hoosier Sound or we are the official podcast of Indiana HQ.
We're recording this edition of The Hoosier Sound on Wednesday,
October thirtieth, twenty twenty four. Where I am your host,

(01:37):
Nathan Christian. Here with me is my normal co host,
Matt Lukens from the other side of the world. Halloween
is tomorrow, Matt, no tricks from Indiana, All treats Smashing
Washington thirty one seventeen. What are your main takeaways from
that victory on Saturday afternoon?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
We rock. That's that's That's what I say that whole.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Day, from from game day to the end of that
Saturday when everybody left the stadium.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Perfect. It was literally perfect.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
It was perfect from the beginning to end.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
And there's like even little things about it that just
show how perfect it was.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
The whether it's the camera shot, the camera works from
the Big ten Network on the D'Angelo Hallin's interception return where.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
They slowly panned the camera out.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
And for the first time in my entire life, in
my entire life, the upper right corner of the home sideline,
I'm sorry of the of the opposing sideline, the right
corner of the.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
West stand.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
I'm trying to think, I'm trying to I'm trying to
do Yeah, yeah, West, I think it would be East.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
One instance, one of the East or West stands is
full with people.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
With cowls and and and.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Just everybody going bananas, hugging each other, throwing things in
the air.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
It was extraordinary. It was it was, it was beautiful.
Washington did have me a little bit nervous.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Especially it started the second half, and then we just
decided to go, you know what, I've seen Michigan and
Michigan State do.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Nothing but run the football. IOWA exists. You know, Alabama
might go into the strategy right soon where they just
run the ball permanently, even tho their win.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
I said, you know what we saw Michigan last year
with the National championship, I running it. Let's just run
it down their throats. And Washington, just like in that
Michigan National title game, was completely unable to stop the run.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
And I ended up with the game and all always good.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
And then obviously the next day we had a basketball
scrimmage and that was sick.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
So we'll talk about that in a bit, but.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Football comes first on this podcast until further notice. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
which should be the same way that the athletic department
looks at this because football should come first at this
point in time, even though basketball I might also rock.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah. I mean, thirty one seventeen over Washington.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
It wasn't that close, especially once Indiana figured out that
Washington was playing more zone, and all you really had
to do was just run it down their throat. And Indiana,
because they have a smart coaching staff and a team
that adapts very nicely, became relentless, ruthless on the ground,
just punished Washington into submission through the one of the

(04:45):
most underrated running backs in the Big Ten even right now.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Again, you know, you find little things about it.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
You find a lot of things about Indiana that are
underrated right now, including their entire team hashtag.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Or shout out eight people. But Justice Ellison, right, twenty
nine carries one hundred and twenty three yards. Everyone's going
to look at that. Oh yards per carry wasn't dead
huh dirty?

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Yeah, talk about sounding uneducated. You know, Justice Ellison can
reel off the explosive run. He did it against Nebraska
like eight times.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Or whatever that was.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I did it against every opponent, frankly, Indiana's face so far,
but it's Washington. It was all about powering through contact,
getting those extra yards on the carry. And just like
you said, very similar to what Michigan did against Penn
State last year, against a lot of other teams last year,
Indiana just kind of pounded Washington's will out of Bloomington,

(05:37):
Indiana on Saturday. They just ran it and ran it
and ran it and ran it. And then when Tavi
and Jackson had to throw it, he through it. And
when Tavi and Jackson had to run it, he ran it.
And what we said on this podcast came true last week.
Like it's not going to be Nebraska. It's going to
be a little bit weird here and there. I said
James Evan, James Evans would punt in the first half.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
He did. He punted.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Oh shoot, what a shocking what a shocking bit of
disappointment there, No like, no, nothing, this is gonna happen again.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Five and a half points was disrespectful, just like seven
seven and a half points against Michigan State is disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Indiana was just so much better than Washington, and it's
such a breath of fresh air. And it's very similar
to other National Championship winning teams we've seen in the past,
or Indiana through October and into November is figuring out

(06:39):
we can beat you through the air, we can beat
you on the ground. We can beat you with our defense.
We can beat you with our offensive line, we can
beat you with our pass rush. We can beat you
in about seven, eight nine different ways. Doesn't matter. If
you're a top ten team, doesn't matter. If you're an
un ranked team, doesn't matter. If you're home, doesn't matter,
if you're away, it doesn't matter. If it's day night, cold, warm, snow, sun,

(07:03):
doesn't matter. We're gonna we're gonna have We're gonna get
into our bag every single Saturday, and we're gonna find
a different way to beat you. Or maybe we go
we play the greatest hits and Curtis work throws for
thirty seventy five on your face, Like you know, there
are a lot of different ways to get the job done.
As far as this Indiana team is concerned, there's a

(07:25):
little bit you know, awkward here there were team in Jackson.
But at the end of the day, you know he's
still he still kind of got through the game with
maybe just one or two really bad mistakes. The interception
I don't even count as a bad mistake. The receiver
Gopper was hit from behind and the ball popped up
in the air. But a couple other things Jackson got
away with. Jackson got away with on Saturday. But you

(07:47):
just saw this team again, you know, great attention to detail,
great focus and again, guys, just take a step back
for a second, right eight and oh is great? All
this offensive line running game dictated Indiana winning a big
ten game.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
With college game Day in town and we didn't have
to worry about it. Like the offensive line, what a unit.
I mean that, Carter Smith, Mike Cadding, Bray Lynch, Drew Evans,
Trey Wedding. What a gang up front, man? They are?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I like, what the best the best five person units
since the Jackson five in Indiana? Like, I think it's
pretty fair to say. I think it's pretty fair to
say the best five.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
Person squad the Jackson's five might have the beat.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I don't know, like we can talk about.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Seventy six startings.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
I think, you know, I guess, if you really want
to get there whatever, I'll give you that one if
we have. But it's close. It's pretty close.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
They might be. It might be the second best five
five person unit in the history.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Of the If Indiana doesn't have a first drive, like
if Curtis Roork's not a first round pick in April,
and I think that's in play, Carter Smith is going
to be Indiana's first round pick, first first round pick
in a while.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I don't think there's any discussion. It's gonna be should
be up there. We'll see how many. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
All I'm saying is this, this five person squad up front.
I tweeted this out and it took off on Saturday.
Zero sax, zero tackles for lost, had one penalty all game.
It was a false start in first drive, and then
after that nothing there's I mean, the whole team didn't
commit a penalty after the false start on the first drive.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
But it's a little bit more impressive.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
When you talk about the offensive line because there are
so many different ways for offensive linemen to to do stuff,
especially in the NFL. The NFL, you're seeing illegal formations,
you're seeing illegal shifts, you're seeing legal and downfield penalties.
This offensive line didn't do any of that. They could
have Indiana U screen passes Indiana, Indiana has pre snap motion.

(10:09):
But the attention to detail across each of those five
players is there. Don't take that for granted. That is
not normal. They are exceptional at their attention to detail
and just smashing teams left, right, and center. It doesn't
matter how good you are.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
I know the Broylsward goes to the best coordinator, but
you should just put bob Bo's stat up.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
That's such a good point. That's a great point. That's
not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
But it's not gonna happen, but should.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Often post limitations. But I guess that's what.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Other people if people actually around the country paid it
to any attention to Indiana football for even a short
amount of time, to see the difference in the offensive
line from two years ago, and the only real difference
in that time because not like we got a ton
of offensive line transfers and the only difference is a

(11:04):
change in in coach.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
That's really the own difference.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
And and this offensive line probably would have even even
been better if we were healthy because offensiven would have
nick Kid a lot of.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Overall hopek we're saying our best off.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Of the line, but going into the season and and
he'll be back next year hopefully.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
But I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
They will see there's some eligibility stuff there, but we'll
see what happens.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Well, I mean, he didn't play a snack this year,
so he should still have another year of eligibility. He
even even when he even played a spring game. I
don't even remember if he did that. So yeah, I
mean the offensive line, the turnaround has been uh are there.
I mean it's the turnaround of the offensive line really

(11:55):
mirrors and turnaround in the football program, seriously, almost instant
with Boss Dad, almost instant with.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
So do we have to talk about Darren Hiller that
those those days, I mean it was awful.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I mean, Darren Hiller deserves to be in the Hague.
I'm pretty sure there's there's war crimes been committed.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I mean, we had some brutal like it's not good.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
When Matt and I are like, this is just not functioning,
like this is there is there are basic mistakes being
made here that are endangering the careers of guys like
Michael Pennix and Connor Bayslak.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Like it's not good. It's not like it's basic basic stuff.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I don't know, I don't know the technicalities of offensive
line play, but Darren Hiller sure as hell didn't and
Bobs obviously does.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Can Can we give the Anti Royals Award in in
memoriam to Darren Hiller's career and we do that.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
By the way, Nick Kidwell was entering his seventh college
season in twenty twenty four. He received an additional year
of eligibility in twenty twenty four after missing eight games
last season. This is according to the IDs. The NCAA
may or may.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Not grant him an extra year next year. I hope
they do.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
I would love to see Nick Kidwell and an Eye
uniform next season. But all in all, like Indiana really
really took care of business against this Washington team. I
love the performance from the wide receivers in this game too,
Like when I sit here and I think about how
it's a game where it's not Curtis Rourick, and the
wide receivers have to help the quarterback, like the quarterback
has to help the wide receivers. I thought Omar Cooper

(13:39):
once again, once again had another good game. I've been
so pleased with Miles Cross all season, and I thought
he had a few nice plays. Miles Price of course,
not only when the receiving game a couple catches, but
he also had that massive punt return. Surrat is going
to break through massively against Michigan State, just like he
did again to Nebraska. I can't wait to watch sir

(14:01):
At against Michigan State on Saturday. It was a really
thorough performance defensively Indiana. I mean, I mean talk about
the secondary my god, I mean DiAngelo Pons National Player
of the Week according to the brockoln Negirsky Award for
the National Player of the Week this year Big Ten
Defensive Player of the Week. This is one of the
most exciting players that Kurt Signetti brought in this season.

(14:25):
But I kind of held back a little. I was, look,
I self imposed limitation. Myself limited myself in the preseason
because how Sidney are said, you know, D'Angelo Pons is
entering his second year of college football, and he's gonna
go up against a bunch of old quarterbacks. We know
how this game goes in twenty twenty four college football.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
I'm gonna get fired up.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
About D'Angelo Ponce in twenty twenty five, maybe twenty twenty six, Yeah, sure, yeah, okay,
I mean the guys started since day one, uh this
season and uh what a what a I mean that
that's a draft tape highlight reel that he put on

(15:08):
on Saturday. It was amazing. Like a lot of times,
pick six is are kind of a product of a
little bit of fortune, good fortune, good luck. You know,
the ball ends up in your hand and you just
kind of do the rest. D'Angelo Punce read that play
like he read that play all the ball.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
Was still deflected, not not to not to who is,
but he read the play and then got a very
I mean very very fortunate deflection and it still ended up.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
It's correct bad.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
If that ball hadn't been deflected, he still wouldn't intercepted it,
by the way.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
But such a great play and then it was perfect
just for good.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Measure, He goes and says, you know, in a game
where even.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Jackson starting a quarterback, not Curtis work, let me just
go out and pick off Will Rogers again on a
play that was even.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
More complicated if you asked me. The second pick was
more impressive.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Than the first one because Ponds is backtracking on a
twenty five or twenty yard ball down the left sideline
high points the ball, brings it down, finishes the process
of the catch. The second year of college football, and Matt,
I know a lot of times we say this Indiana

(16:33):
team is the best ever, best in long time, whatever.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
But we saw Taiwan Mullen have an All American type
season in twenty twenty, and to me, Taiwan Mullen might
be my favorite IU football player in recent memory. Yea,
D'Angelo Pons.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
If he follows that path, we're gonna have a really
really special corner Indiana.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
I mean, what is what is your what is your perspective,
D'Angelo Pons? Here? He's in his second season. Am I am?
I going? Is my bar too low?

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Here?

Speaker 2 (17:08):
I mean Hans was was so good in his true
freshman season at James Madison freshman All American.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
This year we're seeing what he's doing. I mean, this
guy seems like a superstar already. If not emerging, for sure.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
He's emerging as a superstar and he should be. I mean,
plays in the same conference as like the Will Johnson's
of the world.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Right, you have Jabbar Mohammad at Oregon. I don't know why.
I mean he's I don't think Daniel was going first
team big ten By it, there's no reason why he
shouldn't be second team at this point to say, I
mean he's a true sophomore, right, So, I mean the
sky's the limit for him.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
As he was he was all American time.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
I'm on, yeah, I mean he's gonna get there. I
I genuinely think that the Angel Ponds will be there.
I mean I was high on him from minute one,
just because he's a Florida kid.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Well, that's what I'm saying too, because I remember that
was Tom Allen's wheelhouse right to his credit, and I'm
not gonna Tom Allens wheelhouse was Florida. And I do
think it is valuable to have Florida as part of
your recruiting strategy, the significant part of your recruiting strategy.
If D'Angelo Pons is a success story, hello, let's go baby.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
I mean that would be nice.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
I think it's actually better and easier to just recruit
Metro Atlanta and uh, you know you're looking at juju
juju down and down.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
And down in Atlanta.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Lewis Julian Lewis, Yeah, and so if you go get Juju,
I mean you.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Just open up the world down there. But that's that's
some that's some recruiting talk anyway.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
Beside point Uh No, I mean ye, I mean I've
had Angel since day one, I think on the podcast
here talking about him being our best coigner this year
and being super excited like one of the players I'm
the most excited for.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
In the preview, I think.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Long term, long term, man, I was.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
I was thinking long and short term, my guys the
truth and then obviously, like I mean, Michael Camarrow is
a superstar.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
J C. J. West I love J.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
West, are good. Car Carpenter's a dog. Are both of
our linebackers. I was talking. The sneaky m v P
from defense is Jayalen Walker.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah. N hundred.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Makes the winning place, Like all the credit goes to the
Angel Ponds who's been to get.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
All the credit goes to to uh.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
You know deserves Lara.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Brian Haynes, the coordinator has done a great Bryant Haynes
done a great job.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
But Dale Walkerson, of course, kind of captaining in the.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
Middle, I was trying I could not remember eight fishing
name to life and made.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
My bad look like he was a little banged up
there in the middle of the game, and you're all
our breath and he was back.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
That's why I said, not like this. I was like,
we're winning this game and and and we're putting or
putting our final final foot down in bounds to kind
of you know, secure.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
And we're seeing some of the deaf guys. You're seeing
some of the deaf guys at linebacker doing some things
as well.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
With Jacob mangham Ferrar. We've seen Isaiah Jones. I think
Isaiah Jones is next man. We saw him against Northwestern and.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
For what Yeah, he was he was at stand forever.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
For a while, then he played a bunch last year.
He's he's a key rotation, sort of a key depth
piece in our line.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
I swear if you had told you you hadn't told
me you played this day heard, I would have thought
he played for us for like last six years.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
I don't. And and thank those those two I've heard.
I feel like I've heard the name so much.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Indiana is eight and oh they've covered in every game.
When's the disrespect going to stop? A people, what what
are you doing? Okay, c FP rankings out next week,
but a people, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (21:32):
I I have a take on this. When you look
at where IU was ranked last week, only one team
above the walks, only one team, and they lost to
a team that was ranked behind Indiana. L s U,
L s U, tex A and M and Taxan jumped

(21:53):
up to where LSU was and then l s U
went below IU. So yes, you didn't move. But the
team that jumped I you is gonna lose again this season,
tex saying I was gonna lose again, like they still
have a hard rest of their schedule.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
I still believe they play Texas. I believe down the
stretch they might even play Georgia.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
I don't remember, like all those SEC teams that above
Indiana will lose.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
As long as you keeps winning, they're gonna keep moving up.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
And it's just I you won, But then everybody it
was already above them still one last week.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
And that's the part that's the problem with the eight
people is the eight peopole internship.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
Once you get up to the top, there's only so
many spots going up, and there's only so many teams
that can lose to keep going up, and you need
those teams that are above you to lose because otherwise
people are just gonna go chalk, because it's much easier
just to put you.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Know, oh, one threat one this week. Oh that doesn't matter.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
I'm too lazy to actually go and put any thought
into my rankings, and I can just copy and paste
this over and then send it off an email at
eleven fifty nine sure on Saturday night.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
So I genuinely think that you will move up as
the season goes on.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
If you win these next two games and you're ten
and zero, I think I you is a very good
chance of being top five in that that Ohio State matchup,
come come three weeks from that for weeks.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
You're right, But there are also some fundamental errors with
with how the top thirteen is broken down right now,
Like in no universe, should Ohio State have have the
number four spot in the country, like you talking about
a nursha like it all it all like like, yeah,

(23:46):
a lot of teams above Indiana one, but Ohio State
looked awful and in twenty twenty four AP voters should
significantly a team for looking how Ohio State did against Nebraska,

(24:07):
especially after what Indiana did to Nebraska the previous week.
By the way, there is also a fundamental issue with
Clemson getting ranked ahead of Indiana. Because as far as
I love to sit here and say Indiana's winning and
winning and winning and winning and it's great, I love it,

(24:27):
I'm asking the glory of that Clemson had the same
energy with Clemson.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
That you're having with Indiana. Yeah, Indiana as being a
top twenty five team. Again, that's a fair justification for
putting Indiana where they are. I'm not saying that.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
But Indiana is resuming against Ohio State, against Clemson. Clemson
got their booty smashed by Georgia. Yeah, and I don't
care how much they're beating teams buy over the last
few weeks.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yes, because guess what, Indiana is doing the same thing.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
And you know what Indiana didn't do lose by thirty
one to Georgia. So I think there are some really
fundamental errors, like shockingly problematic errors with what I'm seeing
in this ap pole. By the way, Texas, the same
team that you know, another team that won over the

(25:28):
weekend in looked great, didn't look great against Vanderbilt. Talk
about three point win, talk about some ups and downs
in that game, and you have the energy, right, Indiana
didn't beat anybody. Indiana didn't beat nobody who Texas beat.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
We're gonna give them credit for Michigan and Oklahoma in
twenty twenty four. We're not gonna give Indiana credit for
beating Michigan when.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
That happens in a couple of weeks. You know that's
gonna be true. So why are we giving Texas that
same for beating Michigan. So I'm looking forward to the
CFP release next week because the AP poll has lost
a lot of credibility in my eyes, Like whatever I'm
seeing here, there are some fundamentally wrong, you know, rankings
right now, as far as the AP Top twenty five

(26:16):
is concerned, We'll take number thirteen. Like you know, I
know Signetty doesn't give a rats about this, but I'm
gonna look, I'm gonna pay close attention to the CFP
rankings when they come out next Tuesday. Again, that's the
biggest thing happening on Tuesday in America. Uh, And so
I'm gonna look forward to seeing, uh, the CFP release
to see how like how they how they sit. Of course,

(26:37):
Indiana is gonna be nine to oh when that when
that happens, If Indiana is eight and one, we're gonna
have different conversations. But Indiana, we're looking forward to seeing
a nine to oh Indiana, and I'm gonna pay close
attention to seeing how the CFP Committee.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Assesses Indiana schedule. And I'm not expecting NA number one.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
But what I'm saying is how does the CFP committee
look at Indiana versus Ohio State, versus Texas versus Clemson
like those are. That's the four team group I'm paying
very close attention to because if you're telling me a
one lost Texas or a one loss Clemson has a
better resume than Indiana right now, I don't. I don't

(27:14):
know what to say, So I'm going to pay close
attention to that. Indiana, of course, I think would be
Texas or Clemson on a neutral site. That's just my
two cents on that. But of course the only time
we'll be able to see that is the playoff. We'll
talk more about that in just a second, but first
it's time for who won the week this past week?

(27:35):
And I use sports and we got to talk about
the men's basketball team for.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
A second here, Matt. They go into Knoxville and I
watched the I watched that thing for forty minutes.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Man wyre and wired and uh, Indiana's defense look good.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
I love how I you pushed the tempo.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
They go into Knoxville preseason top preseason number twelve. Tennessee,
Indiana wins by five. I'm not gonna say you're and
throw a parade for it because it's an exhibition and
it doesn't matter. It literally does not matter, you know,
one by four sixty six sixty two, not sixty.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Seven, but four point win road game.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Tennessee Indiana plays with tempo, Renew looks good, Miles Rice
looks good.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Those are my immediate thoughts. What are yours? As far
as Indiana's four point win?

Speaker 3 (28:22):
I think thing to hang a banner for this? Uh?

Speaker 5 (28:24):
No, I look, I think this was a promising sign. Yeah,
and I know.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Some people have poo pooed it, being like it's just
an exhibition. No, it was a home game for Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
What not neutral?

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Not neutral non neutral site home game. Had the student
section should have.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Played this game in Lexington though, that would have been funny.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
That would have been hilarious, but disgusting, but hilarious home
game for Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
The students section was there.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
It was a good environment, crowd, it was a good environment,
and both teams played their starters thirty minutes, so that
was a real game.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
It's it's not it was that.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
If you watch the game at all, the intensity of
it was not a scrimmage.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
There's a there's a very.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
Fine line between or a very obvious difference between a
scrimmage speed, like when you see I play against any
of the smaller like like a Marion, right or something
like that. It's it's very clear, all right, they're going
at half speed now, especially the last.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Five to ten minutes of that basketball game was full speed.

Speaker 5 (29:42):
Both teams wanted to win that so badly because they're
obviously extremely competitive, and you know who really shined in
that last four minutes to play Miles, Rice Miles, Miles
Rice Miles, Rice really really, I mean there was multiple
element three. It was basically like give me the effing ball.
And he had that kind of demeanor to him. I

(30:04):
think he even said it, uh, if you can mouth
read on one of the possessions, and he ended up
hitting a long two on that possession to kind of, uh.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
To kind of secure the lead a little bit more.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
I mean, it was just a beautiful performance from so
many I think it's gonna be he's gonna be the
second best point guard in the league. And I don't
remember the last time I've been able to talk about
naive point guard in such a way.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
You were talking about the intensity of the game. There
were three technicals. There were three technicals, and it's a
little bit it was a little bit yeah, like okay,
what are we doing here? But it's true facts only.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
In an exhibition.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
That should make the older crowd even happier.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
If I'm gonna be honest, yeah, showing fight Andy and
they're getting technicals and they're being being.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
It's a little chippy, little little little competitive, and.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
I love it in sports.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
The charity scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Yeah, hey, sometimes things get intense, even with charity related things.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
Wow, we had to have to have this conversation because
I do watch a lot of national college basketball, and
I will say this, I am not sure that Tennessee
is very deserving of their raisers.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Semi however common. That still does not take away for
the fact that you.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Did go in there shot four seventeen from three and
still won by two scores.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
For I think Tennessee is a good team. I think
Tennessee is a good team. I love Sakaisi Eagler I
have for a long time, especially on the side, especially
on the defensive side, which makes Miles Race's performance even better.
I don't know about Rick Barnes winning a national championship
anytime soon, but I do think he is a very

(32:01):
good college basketball coach, just as far as getting his
team through the ups and downs of a regular season.
We saw his success story with Dalton connect last season.
You know he deserves a lot of credit for that.
I think Rick Barnes there's a lot of recruiting credit
for getting Felix Afar from Ohio State. I'm looking forward
to seeing Apara this year play with Tennessee. I think

(32:22):
he's going to take a step forward. I think they're
a good team. I think they are a good team.
And of course this year in the SEC, with Calipari
going to Arkansas, Kentucky figuring some things out on the fly, Alabama,
of course, as good as they are, there're gonna be
a lot of good teams in the SEC, so Tennis
will eat some losses. But I think Tennessee is going
to be a good team this year. I think they

(32:43):
are going to be a top ranked team over the course.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Of there were some lies.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
There has been some lies told about that guy because
he looked like booty cheeks.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
If you guys want more you basketball thoughts from me
and Matt. We were on ant space last week. I
think it was like two hours long and.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
You can skip the first hour and a half of that.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
We bring it home the last thirty minutes or so.
A lot of IU basketball thoughts, your creating thoughts, college basketball,
just the way we assess things. With the season starting
on Monday. Should be excited and can't wait for that, folks. Yeah,
we took our cap to men's basketball team for winning
the week. If you'd like to find us on social media,

(33:54):

such as yours yourself. Speaking of passionate IU fans, Man
College gamdy was the scene on Saturday morning. You know,
I went to undergrad in oh nine, ten eleven, twelve,
graduated in thirteen, got graduate, got a graduate degree from IU,

(34:17):
and I lived by the stadium pretty much my entire life.
And when I was at IU, and I was always curious,
right Saturday is.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Going to the football game? Like College game Day in Tuscaloosa,
right College game Day and ann Arbor College game Day
and Columbus and Athens. I was like, you know, it
would be fun to have in here one day. And
it exceeded all expectations, completely hitted out of the park.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
The song was out, the leaves looked great. Overcame a
power outage right as the show started. Apparently, according to
Pat McAfee, it was a twelve out of ten would
recommend again type of Saturday morning at at Memorial Stadium.
Matt Lee corso awesome, Kurt Signetti interview, everything just top

(35:07):
notch stuff.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
What were your thoughts seeing college game beyond Saturday morning
and Bloomington.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
You know, some of you might call me a pussy,
and that's fine, but I shed a few tears.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
I shed a few tears. It's crazy Saturday night for me.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
I stayed up after work and I.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
Drank some coffee because I know it was going to
be up for the next six hours, right.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
And then I turned it on my TV and I
just sat there alone in my apartment wishing I was
I could teleport through my TV screen to be there
in person.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
It looks so special. I mean, it wasn't even just the.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Videos, the footage from game day, which by the way,
makes Free Campus look good.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Yes, they didn't even they didn't even have to try
with IU.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
Like everybody that's ever been on campus knows how perfect
Bloomington is and how perfect I use campuses.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
And it's they didn't. They didn't even try. They just
I feel like the camera crew had so much fun,
you know, like don't have.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Shots of like students walking to class right in like
the most pristine parts of campus, or they'll have shots
of you know, inside a classroom whatever, and if used
outside the class or or whatever, that's the dud.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
They're doing their job and not having fun on the
town in Bloomington.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
I watched every second game that they did not have
those shots. Not once, not once did I see a
classroom shot. Because those those m efforts were too busy
in upstairs.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Okay, because I listen.

Speaker 5 (36:54):
I've listened to the Stanford Steve pod, i listened to
the Pat mcazee spot. They were they frequent those establishments
quite a bit, and I have stories from other people
running to John Gruden.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Yeah, yeah, on the ground.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
We do have foods on the guy.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
I heard.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
I heard these people were in the places, the places
where we're supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
But uh no, I mean they didn't have to try.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
You could just show a little South End zone plaza
just it was a mass of red. And they showed
the tailgating fields a little bit and it just looks
like how the normal tailgating fields, which is just an
absolute zombie infestation.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
I mean it was, it really was. And and the
change the leaves were changing colors too, that came popped
on the camera as well. I mean, they could not
have picked a more perfect than perfect weather too.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Was absolutely gorgeous perfect. Yeah, I had extreme pomo. Like
you know, I've I've been homesick a.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Lot since I've been here. It's just a you know
natural you move across halfway across the world.

Speaker 5 (38:06):
And yeah, you know I missed I missed Taco Bell
sometime or I miss walking into a grocery store and
getting killed at by a small Hispanic woman in Spanish
for not not using the correct shopping kark.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
You know, it's the little things, right, And uh, that
was that was a big thing for me. I genuinely okay,
hit me in the fields.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yeah, it was awesome, flat out incredible. Yeah, we're not
even We're not. We're gonna go right through that one,
like Justice Ellison. We're gonna go right right right after
contact after contact. The Lee Corso stuff just too good,
just amazing. Pat mcafhee I thought said it best like

(38:54):
he said he told Kurt Signetty, like this program is
a sleeping giant. And we didn't see the crowd's response
in twenty twenty when Indiana was at the top of
the college football rankings, you know, as far as top
twelve pretty much all season because of COVID, we didn't
see it.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
We didn't see the crowd response.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
And then in twenty twenty one, you shoot yourself in
the foot on the first possession or two of the.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Season and just never really rekindled it.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
As great as the crowd was for the Cincinnati game,
you lose and really after that you kind of you know,
saw everything derail.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
We didn't see the crowd. We didn't see the crowds
in twenty twenty. It would have been this good. It
would have been absolute scenes to see Michigan and Indiana
in twenty twenty, Maryland and Indiana in twenty twenty, but
we didn't get the chance, and we are now and
sleeping giant is how you would say it.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Pat McAfee talks about how much the state of Indiana
loves football.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
It's true, We've seen it our whole lives.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
I mean, doesn't matter if it's pro college, high school,
high school football in Indiana's really really, you know, a wonderful,
wonderful scene I grew up in the state doesn't matter.
Northwest south, you know, from from the region to to
what New New Albany, what's the southernmost point of Indiana
and so yes, it's pretty hard New Albany. I know

(40:13):
New Albany's right over the border.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
I was gonna say, right like I knew. It's just
you know, north southeast west doesn't matter. The state lost football.
We've seen it when Purdues had great teams, right the
Tyler Trent game, when they beat Ohio State. Was an
unbelievable atmosphere. And Indiana is really kind of getting into
sort of the peak fandom stage of college football that

(40:40):
era right now, peak fandom college football, peak college football
fandom era is what Indiana is going through right now.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
And it's wonderful. And game Day was absolutely amazing.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I shout out to them for picking Washington Indiana like
they didn't have to, but they did, and it was
worth it. I think all indications are from the ESPN
folks it was worth it. And uh, and I think
you saw two million viewers for a game between Washington
and Indiana on.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Saturday morning, like.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Well, the game right the games on BTN, the games
of noon kickoff, game Day had a great had a
great thing like and and BTN did a.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
Great job as well with the coverage. I think. Uh.
I think Signetti or Scott Dolson put in a call
to the BTN folks and said, give us overhead shots,
give us drone shots, give us crowd shots. We need
all of them. And I don't blame them because that
was a smart move and so.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Absolutely it was. It was probably for everybody involved. I
thought it was. I thought it was last last night
I'll say about game day, yep. I grew up with
weekorso being a huge part.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Of Yeah, and for the basketball.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
For the basketball side as well, both of those guys,
you know, like I remember being like seven eight years
old getting up to watch tim both play. You know,
it'd be you know they have college game Day and
games will you have it in Darkville, Mississippi, wherever they're
wherever the games are playing. They basically would travel with

(42:17):
Florida at the Heights of the Heights of.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
The Gator, Gator.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
Prowess under Urban Meyer, yep, and Eli Corso was just
always there. It was always there, always so fun putting
on the head gear. You know, so many Georgia, Florida
world's largest cocktail parties games they put the headgear on for.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
I remember all of that, yep.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
Like a huge part of my childhood.

Speaker 5 (42:43):
And then I go to IU and then I realized,
you know, the history that he has at I you
the birth.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
I mean it's not the same, but also I mean
still he's a.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
Huge part of the football program and really turned I
you from a nothing burger to.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
I mean, it's not that not that the nineties, the
eighties and the success of football in the eighties and nineties, right,
doesn't doesn't happen without leek Orso doing what he did
in the seventies.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
So and being the first guy to kind.

Speaker 5 (43:13):
Of break that barrier as a football coach and win
a bowl game at Indiana.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
Holiday, I mean, he deserved, he deserved everything he got
in Bloomington and more.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Yep. So, so I'm glad that they kind of put that.

Speaker 5 (43:31):
Bow on the story there so he can go off
and do whatever he wants to do.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
No game they will ever be the same for leak Orso.
It's it was.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
It was wonderful. It was absolutely wonderful. Uh to see
uh to see that. Let's talk about Michigan State. The
Spartans are gonna host Indiana on Saturday afternoon at three
thirty on Peacock, So make sure you have that ready
to go. And if you're a bar or an establishment

(44:05):
or whatever restaurant in Indiana or around the country, have
Peacock ready to go on Saturday afternoon because one of
the best teams in the country is playing on Peacock
on Saturday afternoon. Indiana it's going to be a seven
and a half point favorite, or well.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Actually I think it's gonna get pushed out.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
But Indiana right now is a seven and a half
point favorite with an over under a fifty one against
Michigan State in East Lansing. So if you do the math,
that's something like a twenty nine twenty two, twenty nine
to twenty one thirty twenty two final score Ince Lansing.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
Twenty eight points on the team fifty six. But we're
scoring more, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
Michigan State's four and four, and once again Indiana's facing
a first year head coach at his program in Michigan States,
Nathan Smith, who came over from Oregon State after Oregon
State was kicked out of the PAC twelve. Oregon State
was very good the last couple of seasons, and now
Jonathan Smith is taking that mentality in mindset over to
East Lansing. It's been a wild ride. Michigan State is

(45:15):
the Big Tens craziest team. I mean, I don't think
it's really close. I think as far as their highs
being very very very high and their lows being very
very very very low, Michigan State has had results all
season that have been absolutely nuts.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
They look got awful against Florida Atlantic in their first game.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Then they bounce back. Aiden Childs threw for like three
to sixty against Maryland. Chiles came over from Oregon State,
dual threat quarterback. He's a youngster, one of the youngest
quarterbacks in the league. Well, you know, Michigan State went
to Maryland won Chiles was awesome. Michigan State looked really
bad against Boston College and against Ohio State. But then

(45:53):
how about a wire to wire win over Iowa at
home a couple of weeks ago. So this Spartans team
is all over the map.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Matt, As you look at this, what are the ways
Indiana can really get into Michigan State, take the lead.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Gain some separation. What are the advantages that Indiana has
here against the Spartans.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Trench play on both sides of the wall, offensive line
and defensive line. I use significantly better than Michigan State.
And then I use passing attack against maybe one of
the worst secondaries in the league.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
So I know, it's really funny. They've seen a lot
of people be there. But you know what, I think
Michigan State really gives Indiana troubles. And I look at
what gives Michigan State trouble. Who they've played well against.

Speaker 5 (46:48):
And I looked too, Indiana's played well against, which is everybody,
but who Indians really played well against and who they haven't,
and the people that they don't play very well against
have good secondaries. Michigan State doesn't have one of those
people that Indiana doesn't play very as well against as

(47:09):
have really good offensive lines. The defense can't get pressure well.
Michigan State might have one of the worst offensive lines
in the Big Ten.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
And so I'm like, okay, And then I look at.

Speaker 5 (47:21):
Michigan State strength and I go, Okay, I have an
errant quarterback who likes to throw interceptions and also hit
and hit big plays.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
Well. Indiana doesn't give up a ton of big plays
and they like to get interceptions, okay.

Speaker 5 (47:37):
And you go on the defensive side and you go,
they really like to stop the run, but.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
That's about all they can do.

Speaker 5 (47:43):
And then I think that Curtis work is possibly coming
back from this game, and so.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
We're gonna throw for another three hundred fifty yards and.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
I think the whole time, like, how is miskus Stay
gonna give a hard time?

Speaker 3 (47:53):
We literally counter them.

Speaker 5 (47:55):
Like it's this is like like it's like this if
this is Pokemon, there are grad type and we're fire
like this is.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
This is not the thing, This is not gonna This
would be a walking park.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
Basically what I'm saying, as long as I you can
compose themselves and handle the probably I probably sold out
Spartan Stadium, you know, as long as they can handle
the Michigan State's environments in Spartan Stadium, and maybe you
can get out to an early lead.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
I really don't see how it's possible right this game.
I just don't.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Yeah, I do think that's given me the first key here.
I was talking to man before we started here this
morning in the US, and I was like, I would
be kind of annoyed if Indiana's leading every minute, every
second of every game streak ended in this game. I
feel like this would be a nice opportunity for Indiana
to go out take an early seven nothing, ten nothing,

(48:47):
fourteen nothing lead and force Michigan State into one dimensional football.
They are balanced. Michigan State tries to slow the game down.
They run it just as much as they throw it.
Aiden Chiles is a big part of that because on
some of the dropbacks they call, he's able to take
off pick up yardage on the ground. Yeah, forcing Michigan

(49:07):
State into one dimensional football is Indiana's easiest path to win.
It's not like you can't beat Michigan State in other ways.
But I think Matt's vicious takedown of the Spartans is
pretty much pretty much on.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Point.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
And I think seven and a half is a number
that's way too low, especially considering on Saturday afternoon, it
looks like we will get absolutely beautiful weather in East
Lansing for a football game. Does not look like as
of Wednesday morning in the US, it does not look
like we will have precipitation much wind in East Lansing

(49:45):
on Saturday, which lines up wonderfully with Curtis Works likely
returned to the football field as Indiana's QB one on Saturday,
so that the Heisman March can continue for number nine.
Indiana should just come. You should should really just dominate.
As far as the passing game is concerned, Michigan State's

(50:10):
offensive tackles might be the worst pair in the Big Ten.
Not to be too harsh, but Mkhil Kamara, Linel Carr,
Mario Landino, Marcus Burris, if he lines up outside, he
should be able to get into the backfield very quickly.
But of course with Aid and Chiles, you have to

(50:30):
be disciplined. You can't break, you can't let him break.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Contain.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
You want to keep him constrained. You want to keep
him controlled. You don't want him to bounce it out
explode for big plays because Chiles, I think eventually will
be one of the most incredible, explosive dual threat quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
In college football. I'm a big Aiden Childs fan.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
I just think right now he's learning some things about
the game, He's learning some things about the big ton,
and I think Jonathan Smith, unlike the Indianapolis Colts front
office and coaching staff, I think Jonathan Smith is letting
Aiden Childs play through some of this stuff in Big
Ten football this year.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
So I look at this and I just have a
tough time. I mean, Michigan State.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Basically, Michigan State's path to a win here is take
an early lead, stay balanced. Nick Marsh is a very
good receiver on the outside. You would think Indiana lines
up D'Angelo Ponds with him. Nick Marsh could win that match.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
It's possible Nick Marsh wins that matchup.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
And if that if that's the case, then you know,
that's something else Indiana has to work through. But at
the at the end of the day, Aiden Chiles takes
a lot of sacks. The offensive tackles have really struggled
for Michigan State this year.

Speaker 1 (51:50):
I you should have the advantage up front.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Curtis work should be able to pick apart Michigan State secondary.
Davis Horren, Michigan's starting quarterback on Saturday, had a pretty
efficient day through the air. Of course, Michigan runs the
ball a lot, but when Davis Warren, who's had his
major struggles this season, when Davis Warren.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Throw the ball, it's pretty effective. Donovan Edwards threw a
touchdown pass.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
You can pick apart this Michigan State defense through the
air pretty easily. If Tavian Jackson has to go, I
think you gotta let Tavin Jackson throw the football if
that's what it comes down to. But all in all
indications are that right now, Curtis Rourke should be able
to go against MSU. We're gonna talk more about how

(52:42):
Man and I feel about this game in just a second,
but real quick a time for a social media shout up, folks.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
Quickerminder.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
You can find us on social media at Indiana HQ
at the who's your sound like as follow us, share
our stuff, tell a friend, share our links like that
type of stuff really helps us grow this podcast.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
We need to you know, this is how we spread
the word.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
We're gonna be here through football season, men's basketball season,
women's basketball season. We are here for ranked top twenty
five university stuff for the rest of the next several months.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
So spread the word. Help us out. That's how you
can help us grow and grow and grow and grow
and reach more passionate. Are you fans such as yourself? Yeah?
I just think Indiana has the advantages here all around. Matt.
I love the fact that Michigan State's not coming off
of bye like all these other teams in Indiana's face.

(53:35):
So far MS is four and four.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
I use a seven and a half point favorite. Who
do you think wins this game?

Speaker 1 (53:44):
And by how much.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Are you win this game? And I think it's forty
two thirteen. That's a floof score. I don't think it's closed.
I really don't. I don't see how Michigan.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
State's really gonna be able to to consistently move the
ball infense, especially since I think Child's running for his
wife on most plays and I U is going to
I mean mistate how much of a pass rush? So
you're just gonna, like Curis Rorke picked them apart piece
by piece.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
I'm time with that.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
Yep, sure, yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
I think big thing this week is you know you
got a band green from your wardrobe until Saturday through Saturday.
I think that's an important thing here. Now you can't
wear can't wear green. It is gonna be like the
first legitimate, like tough ish road environment that Indiana is
gonna play in all season. UCLA and Northwestern are not

(54:45):
the same tier as Michigan State.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
They just aren't as far as atmosphere, as far as crowd,
as far as stadium, So it's gonna be a little
bit of a challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if early
Indiana had a fallse start penalty, maybe a delay of
game penalty, or has to burn a first quarter time out.
But then I think, really, once the train gets on

(55:10):
the tracks, this is gonna be a tough one.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
I think there's like this sentiment that, oh, Michigan State's
going to be really fired up for a top fifteen
Indiana coming to town. I don't know if that's the case. Really,
Michigan State was fired up for this road game that
they played against Michigan and at Arbor last Saturday, and
it was tough and it was physical, and it was
a tense and it was sixty minutes and then a

(55:35):
postgame fight. You know, there was a lot of grinding,
grueling football played last Saturday. And Indiana this year has
played teams in the Big Ten off of bye weeks
like consistently. This is a different story where Michigan State
plays a tough, grueling, sixty minute game against Michigan, fights
Michigan post game, where Michigan fights Michigan State postgame.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
They both fought each other postgame. How Michigan State. Yeah,
they return home.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
It's a nice lansing, but you're gonna have some just
wear and tear coming off of that game Saturday against
an in state rival.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
I don't know how.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
Fired up Michigan State fans are gonna be to see
Indiana come to town. I hope we see a lot
of Cream and Crimson in the crowd up in Michigan.
It's not too tough of a trip, so I hope
you see some Indiana fans in the building.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
I think Curtis Rourke.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
If I think it looks like he's gonna play, If
he plays, I think his heisman, March is his heisman.
Case is gonna get real strong on Saturday. I think
Indiana's gonna throw when they're up. I think they're gonna
throw in their down. I think they're gonna throw on
first down. I think they're gonna.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
Throw on third down. I think Indiana's gonna win this
game fifty two.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
To ten. Okay to ten, So.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
Uh take the over because because I think part of
this too is Kurt Signetti can't let up in the
second half, even with this team having a big lead,
because you got to impress the committee and you got
to impress the AP rankings, the CFP. Like I like,
Indiana is not going to let their foot off the
gas pedal too much. And I don't know, maybe there's

(57:32):
like a little implicit thing with Jonathan Smith, first year coach.
Signetti wants to show his first year peers like he
showed Jed Fish last week.

Speaker 1 (57:41):
Hey I'm I'm the first year guy man, like I
was the right pick here. So I think Indiana clears
this pretty easily against the Spartans on Saturday. I think
Michigan State's path to victory is they take an early lead,
they stay balanced. Maybe Indiana has an injury or two.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
Curtis work isn't quite right, and Michigan State just kind
of evenly sort of beats Indiana to death over sixty minutes.

Speaker 1 (58:09):
I just don't foresee that happening.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
We got eight Big ten games on Saturday, Matt, Indiana,
Michigan State.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Is one of them.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
We have action all across Saturday, eight Big ten games
on Saturday, from noon all the way to seven thirty.
It's very concentrated football. There's no late night start on Saturday,
there's no Friday game.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
It's all Saturday.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
We like to make our Big ten picks of the
week every week here on this show.

Speaker 1 (58:44):
And you have eight games to choose from Matt.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
As far as possible upset picks, as far as a
team you like against the spread, as far as an
over under that stands out to you, what are your
Big ten picks of the week for Saturday.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
Well, I'm glad you asked, Well you had to ask,
but I'm glad you asked. Big tech pics of the league.
I've got Oregon covering against Michigan, they're favored by fourteen
and a half. The no way, hell, Michigan's fourteen. I
don't think Michigan scoring fourteen points. I think I think

(59:24):
Oregon's scoring more than twenty eight. So there you go,
there's there's a different there. I like Washington to upset USC.
This week said I don't think USC is that good.
USC is favored by two and a half for some
god forsaken reason.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
I don't know why, even though Washington's at home in
the USC.

Speaker 5 (59:49):
And lastly, for some reason, Northwestern is only favored by
a single point against Purdue. Give me Northwestern to cover
one point against Purdue.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
They're winning that football game, but he's not winning the
game for the rest of the year. They're finishing one
and eleven.

Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
But everybody just because that's that's what that's what's happening there.

Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
I have I have some thoughts, and I don't want
our podcast to go on for two hours.

Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
But uh, I liked what you were saying about Washington.
It's kind of like the Nebraska effect. Right, Nebraska got
their doors beaten by US, then the following week it
looked all right, U c. L A got their doors beaten.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
By US following weeks. Yeah, ok, whatever, I mean, no, no, no,
but we did. We did.

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
We beat their will out of their bodies on Saturday
afternoon after the halftime, Like I want people to understand,
like fourteen points, don't lose your don't don't don't lose
sleep over that Indiana.

Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
Like that was MMA.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Submission at its finest, Like that was beautiful after halftime.
That was that was six yards each carry every carry.
Justice Ellison deserved Big ten Offensive Player of the Week.
But the ball knowersh don't decide that. They like the
fancy fantasy stats so so Justice Selison didn't get his

(01:01:24):
respected accolades there. But it's a Nebraska effect for Washington.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
I like Washington to win straight up against the USC
as well. I like Nebraska to cover six.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
And a half.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
My my, my second most passionate storyline. The thing I
the thing I know most in college football outside of
Indiana is one of the top five teams in the country.
The thing I know second most is that Nebraska is
a good football team and they did it against Ohio State.
I told you last week Nebraska's gonna cover twenty five
and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
They did easily. It was smooth, it was easy.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Didn't even have to sweat that Nebraska six and a half,
that home against UCLA bull eligibility on the line. Nebraska
is a good football team. Nebraska is covering six and
a half, and I have Penn State winning. It's the
spotlight game of the week.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
And I I think they do.

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
I think this was a night game, I would be
a little bit more confident State, but it's not gonna
a night game. It's still gonna it's still gonna be
an absolute juice game. I'ma that's a that's a twelve, right, Yeah,
that's a new game. Yeah, I'll be watching.

Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
That before the game. I'm gonna be I'm gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
I I'm so skeptical about this Ohio State team. I'm
not saying they're bad. I think Ohio State is very
very very very good. I think they have some warts.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
And I don't think one. I don't think one is
their head coach is an absolute.

Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
I I'm not saying they're bad.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
I think Ohio State is very very very very good.
But I think Penn State at home one hundred and
five thousand, crazy atmosphere.

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
I don't care if it's Drew Awler or Prebula, Dylan
Dylan Paula, what's.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
His first Premila?

Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
But I liked what I.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Saw from Prebula after half time. Oh I was not
even close, but I loved. Yeah, I loved what I
saw from Prebula against Wisconsin after halftime after Aler got injured.

(01:03:37):
I was pretty tuned into that Penn State Wisconsin game
on Saturday night, and he was really really, really really good.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
Reminds me of.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
Like college will levels. I was thinking a little bit
of that. But I think I think uh.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Mc sorely is probably better for a lot of people.
I think penns it's gonna win. I think college college
at college.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
Wool Lews was a fun player at Kentucky. Penn State. Yeah,
I just I think this is I think this is
the breakthrough. I love Penn State.

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
I think Oregon and Penn State as well as Indiana
are Tier one of the Big.

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Ten, and I think Ohio State's like Tier one point five.

Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
Like that's kind of what I'm saying here.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Yeah, I like, look Penn State, right, they go into
West Virginia, make you look easy.

Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
They fight through.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
Like I love what Penn State did against the USC,
Penn State did at US see what Ohio State could
not do at Oregon, and like that matters to me.
Like I'm sorry if the results mattered to me, But
like Penn State doing to US, I did not expect Penn.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
State to win that game from behind.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
You guys have to watch what happens over the course
of sixty minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
It's not just though Penn State was favored and then
Penn State won. It's not that simple.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
They get kind of housed in the first half the
first two and two and a half quarters by USC,
and Drew Allerd figures it out and Tyler Warren explodes,
and you do it on the road after across country
travel when you had to leave Harrisburg instead of State
college like this this was that was something that stood
out to me. And then you go into Wisconsin and

(01:05:20):
Aler gets hurt in the first half just before halftime,
and it's a tough environment and your backup quarterback helps
you win, just like Indiana's backup quarterback kind of helped
IU take care of business. Tavian Jackson made some mistakes,
but he showed a lot of growth from what happened
last season. These are the types of things that show

(01:05:43):
me once you get into November and now December with
the twelftheen playoff, like these are the types of things
that show me you can sort of overcome a lot
of twists and turns that come your way during the season.
Because playoff games are gonna be hard, right, Penn State's
gaming's Ohio State on Saturday is going to be hard.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Indiana's game in Columbus is going to be hard.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
But when you show over the course of the first
nine weeks that you can do things a few different ways.
Maybe your backup quarterback has to deliver. Maybe you got
to go on the road and come from behind. Maybe
there's somebody who gets suspended and the next man has
to come up. Or maybe you went through the air
and then you went on the ground and then you
went on defense.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Like it can happen a lot of different ways. But
this is where Matt and I.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Are different than all of you because we watched probably
every year every week twenty or seven. So like when
you see these things, so for that reason, like to me,
Ohio State hasn't dealt with that stuff, Well, maybe I'll
be wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Nope, I agree.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
I'm rooting for Ohio State. I'm rooting for Ohio State.
I want Ohio State to be good, so I hope
Ohio State wins. I just think Penn State's going to
I will.

Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
Never ever ever in my life route for Ohio State.
My way side note that fan base deserves the worst.
That fan base deserves the worst.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
They are.

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
They feel like they are entitled, entitled to at least
ten win seasons every single year. Like I don't think
there's a fan base in any sports on Earth, even
even the Golden State Warriors fans of like the heyday
of the Katie Warriors, I didn't even hate them as

(01:07:28):
much as I hate Ohio State fans, because even.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
They understood what it was like to lose at some point.
When's the last time Ohio State went under five hundred?
It was like what the eighties?

Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
Was it? Did they go under when uh trestled out?

Speaker 5 (01:07:43):
No, it was six and six, six and six. They
went six and six still, and then they went twelve
and zero in in Urban Virus versus you remember their
full band, and they still went under.

Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
Feud. I mean that fan base that they need three
and nine seasons, they really do.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
My picks for Saturday are don Let's talk about the
Ohio State Nebraska game for a second before we wrap up. Like, guys,
you cannot have Ohio State above Indiana right now, Like
you can't. And we saw this coming, Like it's not

(01:08:24):
that complicated. Nebraska is a good football team. Indiana is
an elite football team. Indiana smacked the doors off Nebraska
a week and a half ago. Nebraska, a good football team,
played a great football team in Ohio State, and Nebraska
kept it close until the end. Nebraska's good, right, They

(01:08:48):
don't suck all of a sudden, do they.

Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
They don't suck. They have their weaknesses, but they're sure.

Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
I'll give you there, there's somewhere in the good.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
The conversation is changing out right. It's no. It's funny
how the narrative is all different now.

Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
It would it would not surprise me if they end
up a ten win team this year with a bowl game.
I think I think there's a chance they could go
nine and a three and finish with a h.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
They can't get tell you, oh, icy, Okay, I see
what you're saying. Yeah, it's in play, it's in play.

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
It it's in play still for that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
Team, that would be massive for Indiana, by the way,
because we need one other team on the schedule to
step up.

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
We do, We really do, because it's not going to
be Michigan State if we beat them.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
It's definitely not gonna be Michigan. If we beat them,
it's not going to be Maryland, Washington, or you insert
anybody who plays. It's not gonna be anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
So Ohio State ran for sixty four yards on twenty
eight carries.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Tell me Indiana is not a better offense.

Speaker 5 (01:09:57):
Tell me Indiana can't just hold out of State to
the same about a Russia.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Nebraska put up two hundred and seventy three yards, one
hundred and fifty two through the air, one hundred and
twenty one on the ground.

Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
Scored seventeen points. Tell me Indiana is not a better defense.

Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
It's not that complicated. Get your biases and your agendas
out of the way. Nebraska, a good football team got
wrecked by Indiana, could have won in Columbus in a
span of seven days, both on the road. It's not
both at noon on a Saturday in sunny conditions.

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
It's not. It's not complicated.

Speaker 5 (01:10:43):
Some people are asking if stick paid twenty million dollars
in nil to their team to be at worse.

Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
It's not complicated. I mean, Indiana's got the better quarterback,
Indiana's got the better offense, defense, it's not the same.

Speaker 5 (01:11:09):
I've got a better head coach, better offense, better defense,
better coordinators, better offensive line.

Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
Now here's what's interesting. Ohio State earlier this year went
to East Lansing to be Michigan State thirty eight to seven.
You don't think Signetti is paying attention to that. You
don't think Kurtz Signetti knows that score line. Indiana is
going to be shooting to win by thirty two.

Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
Yeah, but I also think Kritsigani would call that that.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Uh, I kind of think in the warmon' fuzzies.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Oh that's right, yeah, yeah, yeah correct, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
That's some rat.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
Very true.

Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Just go just go kick your teeth, that's very true.
Go execute.

Speaker 5 (01:12:04):
If I if I execute at any level close to
what they just did the last two weeks, they should
roll over.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Michigan State. Shouldn't be a problem. I don't. I don't
care that harsh. They won thirty eight to seven. Yep,
we could win. We could win forty five to thirty five.

Speaker 6 (01:12:21):
I wouldn't care.

Speaker 5 (01:12:23):
I think I care if you want to walk off
the bowl because I don't think Michigan State is that good.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
I don't care. As long as they win the game.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
It's just Nebraska's a good football team. Nebraska's a good
football team.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
They went into Columbus and they proved it, just like
they came into Bloomington and Indiana.

Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
Beat the doors off them. Don't over complicate it. Staring
at you, it's staring at you right in front of
your face. Embrace Indiana's eliteness in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
It's just it's just the way it is. And by
the way, I was also thinking about how for Indiana's
Big Ten title race, which is a legitimate sentence in
the day and.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
Age, if they like lose to Ohio State, like they
can mad mathematically still possibly make it. I am like
I am scared for.

Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
If it happens, like there is an Indiana I think
right now it's a thirteen and a half point underdog,
and the look aheadline whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Give me that money, give me, give me that line.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
But just like looking Ahead, there's like some implied value
here as far as Indiana hosting Purdue the last game
of the season and then playing the title game in Indianapolis.
That's kind of interesting as far as just a Big
Ten title side of things, because Lucas Oil Stateium is

(01:14:00):
going to be.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Filled with that you fans, regardless of who the opponent is.
If if Indiana gets there in the Big Ten title game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
And all I'm saying is, if Indiana loses to Ohio State,
the palette cleanser is going to be Purdue at home
the following.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Week, and I am nervous for Ryan Walters and the
entire Purdue football program if Kurt Signetti feels like he
has to run up the score to prove something to
the CFP committee, like you might see some single game

(01:14:40):
records broken down the road because of the system.

Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
Because of the system, I look forward to that.

Speaker 7 (01:14:49):
I I believe I can least score any points, Like
That's what I'm saying, Like, like, I mean, we should
do that anyways if we can, because I think it's
just funny to have them be miserable.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Like if Indiana's ten and one and they get Purdue
at home the following week and they have they're like
right on the bubble, right like Saydiana thirteen in the
NS twelve or fourteen the CFP rankings, and it's like
you got to prove something to the CFB committee.

Speaker 5 (01:15:22):
You know what also will happen if we lose Ohio State,
We're gonna play angry the next Oh, that's what it's
gonna be.

Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Like. It's like like, uh for those that.

Speaker 5 (01:15:33):
Did not watch the SEC and it's heyday. Those nick
saving teams, especially right around the turn of two.

Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
When Signetty was there right Mark lost Jones.

Speaker 5 (01:15:46):
If Alabama lost the game and swim they played next
literally literally they might as well have they might as
well sent out eleven walk ons. It was.

Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
And then the funny thing is if Indiana wins that
game in Columbus and they're eleven and oh and you
basically are a win from clinching Big ten title, a
big A Big ten title spot, title game spot.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
You might see all the starters pulled in in the
first half against Purdue and Kurtz Signetty probably has enough
confidence in his second and third stringers to take care
of that game.

Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
Score.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
It's just fascinating to look ahead. Well, and I think
Purdue is going to be playing some backups and stuff too.
It feels like they're going through there. They're going to
go through some transition here. Just as far as their players,
like Purdue should try some new things the rest of
the year, they should play younger guys, they should try
to figure out what's in store for their future as
far as some of their future players are concerned.

Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
If that happens in.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Bloomington last game of the season, I mean, it could
get It could be really funny to see, you know,
Tyler Cherry get the entire second half as India.

Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
It's just her.

Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
Alberto Mendoza just can't get Mendoza.

Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
By the way, his brother at Cal had an insane
game on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
So if Alberto Mendoza's season has not been good enough
being part of this team, his brother at Cal had
an insane game on Saturday, getting some of those player
of the Week honors all over shot out there. So
it's just funny to think looking ahead the type of

(01:17:33):
ramifications that could be there for that bucket game at
the at the end of the year, because everything is
in play.

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
A seventeen game.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Season is in play for Indiana, which is crazy to say,
but it is real. I mean, technically, we're we may
not be halfway through the season. Technically we may not
be halfway through the season, and so you know that's
where we are. By the way, only eight other times
in school history as Indiana eight games kind of kind

(01:18:04):
of incredible. This is number nine to nine such occurrence.
Eight games, not ten, not.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
Eleven, not twelve, just Eightda what you're saying, Yes, that
is what I'm saying. And Indiana's never won ten games
in a season ever, and so break that this year
and so uh and so that's what that stake. Indiana

(01:18:31):
has won nine games twice nineteen forty five and of
course in nineteen sixty seventeen that we've talked about so much.
With the win against Michigan State, Indiana would set the
school record for the best start ever. As we wind
up here on this Wednesday match, any final thoughts from
your in Indiana eight and O doing a lot of
good things, ap pole all over the place. CFP rankings

(01:18:54):
out next week Michigan State on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
One. Let's go crush Michigan State. Two. Hopefully that'll show.

Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
Up very nicely in the playoff rankings when we will
be in that next week.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
And then three. I would be remiss if we didn't
talk a little.

Speaker 5 (01:19:19):
Bit more about the college basketball scrimmage. Oh, the women
also played there. Yep, uh, you're gonna they're gonna be
They're gonna be a really good one. Thing I will
say to mention about the scrimmage. We did shoot four
of nineteen for three, so call on. However, I am

(01:19:40):
not worried at Miles Rice, who's a good shooter, goes, oh,
of three, that won't happen again.

Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
Carlisle was like, what one of six?

Speaker 5 (01:19:50):
I don't think that's gonna happen ever, again, he's a
pretty good spot.

Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
Up shooter as it is.

Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
And then Luke Good he went, oh, three, I guarantee
you that also won't happen again.

Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
So the shots will go down.

Speaker 5 (01:20:03):
It's just they're all eleven in the first half because
they were rusty and we're used to the game speed,
and they shot.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
Fifty in the second half. There was four of eight
from the from three in the second half.

Speaker 1 (01:20:15):
Not worried.

Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
Oh, in fact, I'm probably a little bit more confident
than I was before.

Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
We shot four of my teams. Well, I like the
free throw shooting. Uh you know, I thought the free.

Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
Throw shooting out, Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
And so like, I like what what I'm seeing there.
As far as the free throw shooting is concerned, we
did see Miles Rice go through a little bit of
a slump last year as far as shooting, so you know,
I'm looking forward to seeing him bouncing back here exhibition
play early non conference battle for Atlantis.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Lou Goody right, part of that shooting thing. Also, he'll
he'll he'll figure that out, no.

Speaker 1 (01:20:55):
Question about it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:57):
Yeah, absolutely, shots. It's a matter of it as a
matter of when.

Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
Yep, exactly, He'll clean that up. This is fun.

Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
It was fun to see Indiana and Knoxville on Saturday.
Women's team is going to be really fun to watch
this year. They're gonna play a little bit differently, I think,
and it's gonna be fascinating to see that take place.
And then, yeah, I mean ap poll, you just you
lost a lot of credibility as far as what happened
over the last couple of couple of rankings. Uh, Indiana,

(01:21:28):
I think it's gonna cruise against Michigan State on Saturday
on Peacock Folks. That wraps up for our three hundred
